I dont give this place not even a star, the waiting time in drive through is ridiculous. I have gave this place a chance and always have to wait over 30 min, and ones near the ordering speaker the employees cant even have the courtesy of saying welcome or Ill be with you shortly. Customer service is fatal, they need a better manager definently this place is a joke.
Stood in drive thru ten mins no one taking orders. No one inside dining in either I pull up to the drive thru window all the employees are standing in a circle talking. They than look over at me and say oh did you want to order?Not sure if this locations management thinks this is how a business is ran or what but Maybe find someone who actually ensures employees are doing their job. This was at 5pm aswell dinner time you’d think you’d be ready for.
I went through drive thru today. They were not able to get us what we wanted because they were out. I asked specifically for Mardi gras mustard and they said ok and didnt give me anything. The portion of shrimp is small. The Mac and cheese has that weird hard burned stuff on it.
I went through the drive thru … the drive thru machine u can barley hear anything the employee got rude w my elderly father cause he was spoken over umm sorry sir can’t hear u on this broken speaker I get all the way home I’m missing a piece of chicken my red beans and rice cold mash potatoes cold and chicken falling apart from not being drained and wasn’t crispy based off all the negative reviews this is sad and I wasted 33$ I’m calling they don’t close for another hr no answer bad customer service and biscuits are doughy I can’t feed my children this too busy being rude in the drive thru yet my father apologized and they ruined my order never again
I placed an online order through their own website for my sons birthday dinner where my order was almost $80 and they gave my food away to someone else by not checking the receipt. The district manager refused to talk to me or allow the store manager to re-make our food. Told me to dispute on the app.
This place is so disgusting. It is ran by little girls that curse at customers and even flick customers off for just asking a question. Even threaten to spit in my food! Would not let me speak with a manager because they dont have one. The girl in the red sweater even came out and threw a drink at my car
This place has to be the worst Popeyes Ive been to. The drive thru line wait is at the least 30 min. The person on the speaker phone is very impatient, speaks little English and doesnt have any manners. What you want? Is how I was greeted. And she was talking with other people while taking my order. Whos in charge of this place? They should be relocated or terminated. Its a frickin fast food joint. Im sure there are peyote out there who can and will do a better job waiting on people. So please get some! Not to even mention that of course my order was messed up. It was one meal...ONE MEAL! Come on!
Im pretty sure I was profiled based on my address when ordering from here through my Popeyes account. Theyre the closet one to me. I had my order complete. Credit card entered.Wasnt happy about forced tip but, no matter. If delivery person was timely and professional I would have even given extra cash tip. I appreciate delivery especially in this pandemic.Anyway, everything cool and processing. Then suddenly, a pop up message says restaurant not available! Huh? Tried again. Same thing happened. Im less than 2 miles away from Cicero but technically in Austin neighborhood. My gut telling me something funny.After reading the reviews about the nasty restaurant though, I am grateful. Probably saved me from food poisoning.Hope you all close down soon. Bye!
Would give 0 stars if an option. Terrible service, there were 5 people behind the counter and it still took 10 minutes to plate a 2 piece meal when all the chicken and fries were already ready. The assistant manager didn’t do anything about it as she was standing there watching them, doing nothing along with them.
Ive already had a bad experience we thought wed try it again. But at this point we definitely will NOT be back to this location. The portion of red beans and rice we were given for our order was minimal. When we tried to return it, the people at the counter picked through the chicken before even getting to the side, then they didnt want to replace the chicken. My sandwich was old it looked like it may have been made for a previous order then they just pack it up for us. The service we received when returning our order was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. Sometimes we only give out stars because we have to. This is one of those times.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible service! And thus was from the so called manager! Once I got to the window she 2anted me to reverse my car. Why? I dont know. Then, says the card machine needs to start back working. She said if I didnt reverse I have to come inside which I still didnt understand. She then ask for my card(snatches it) and give me my food. As Im checking my food she yells and says its all there! which, it wasnt. I was missing an extra side order. When I told her she said I wasnt charged for it. I told her I would still like it and want to pay for it. She said I would have to get back in line or come inside. I asked why. She then asked for my card and gave me my side order. I asked for the manager and she said I am the manager. I tried taking a picture of the number on the drive thru window but when she saw what I was doing she opened the window and refused to close it so I could get the number. I asked her to closed it and she stated that the number is on the receipt which its not. I had to Google the 877 number. But it seems like nothing will be done!
Went to the drive thru, ordered 3 combos of nuggets with mash potatoes. Well something is wrong here cause they gave me fries instead. I had to go inside to get what I paid for. Turns out NO ONE IS WEARING HAIR NETS! Instead of just giving me the mash potatoes, the pulled my food out of each individual bag and dumped the fries back into a big pan they have their and swapped for mash. This is so unsanitary! I am so disappointed and upset with my experience!
I don’t usually write reviews , but because of how horrible this place was I had to make an account to tell y’all not to come here.The food was not done ..the chicken still had a heartbeat. It wasn’t cooked right at all, I can still hear the chicken sandwich 🐔 kikiki.Soda was flat. No bubbles , how can you screw that up?Don’t recommend this place.
We recently ordered popeyes and when we were trying to pickup our food it was closed and my mother got furious about that and when we got our food we ordered 2 strawberry cream cheese apple pies and when we got them they were pies and this was extremely disappointing. And another thing our fries were severely cold so next time when we come our food better be Good.
Its sad how they try to finesse people out their money everything my family goes there they always make it wrong and are in a rush to get us out the way that they dont even realize theirs food missing ....... than since they have timers on the drive thru they make us wait before the timer to make our food so it can run as soon as we at the door and make it seems they didnt have us waiting for almost 10 to 15 min smh
This particular location handled a recent promotion very poorly. I had placed my free sandwich order and it was accepted. Once I went to pick up my order, they refused to give me the order because they were no longer accepting the promotion. The website didnt mention anything about only participating locations accepting the promo.Had they simply done something to not allow me to order online, I would have been ok with it. The redemption code was lost and nothing was done. I didnt mind losing out on the promotion, it was only a free sandwich. I was just baffled with how poorly the promotion was handled and how nothing was done to honor or work with anyone to do something.I saw many people go through the same thing and the manager decided to close the doors so people would stop going inside and had people wait in the drive thru instead.I will not be coming back here again. There is a location by North Riverside mall that is much better and friendlier. To the people in corporate: please train your people better or have better systems in place if you are to partner with a company and give away things for free. Im pretty sure this was not the only location to have this problem.
When placing my order the cashier was very rude and had a very nasty attitude. I asked for my shrimp to be dropped fresh and she did not relay the message. I told the young lady who handed me the food that i requested fresh. she confirmed with the cashier and corrected it. Had they not corrected it definitely would have been only 1 star. Customer service needs to be taught to these girls asap.
I really wish i could rate these individuals a “0” star. i used the drive through and the lady told me to pull up to the window. once i arrive at the window she tells me that i have to use the telecom . i then tell her that i was told to come to the window, and THEN i’m told they aren’t open until 11. Thanks for the horrible service
I placed a mobile order and when I received the delivery I was shorted items. The stuff I did receive was crammed into a small plastic bag, the chicken sandwiches were not in the foil wrapping, the mashed potatoes leaked all over the bag and onto the food. When I tried to call them I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes and then got hung up on! I tried to contact their corporate office through their web page and on Facebook and after almost a week, I have gotten no call from anyone! Maybe to them our hard earned money means nothing?!?! But I paid for my order and I did NOT receive what I paid for! Never again! Popeyes, stop ignoring your customers!
Service was terrible. The cashier lady had a bad attitude, and same goes with the manager. They had a sign for their food on the windows of their restaurant, but when I went in to order it the lady said they werent selling it. Because of what she said, I then told the lady I wanted another meal that was on the menu indoors, and she once again said that they werent selling it; this is against the law.
I placed a very simple order last night, which was two mild chicken sandwiches with no pickles and a 2 piece special with a side of red beans and rice. Once I paid for my order I took a look at the receipt and realized that my order was not put in right and before getting the food the lady influenced me n ou t to worry that just the way it was entered in the system. I left with the food trusting what they told me , only to make it home with a incomplete order. The following day I called and spoke with the manager and she told me to bring the food back and theyll fix my order. Like really who ask for food back after 12 hours or so. I wont ever order from this popeyes again ever !
I came last night at 9:52pm when I pulled up to the drive-through there was already a car at the speaker so I decided to call their number and ask if they were still open the lady on the phone said that that dining was close but that the drive-through was still open I asked her pacifically would you be able to take my order I am the car after the car at the speaker she told me yes so I decided to wait.Car after car kept getting their food , I kept saying hello hello no answer what so ever. so I ended up pulling up to the window and she tells me we’re close and I told her I talk to you on the phone. Then she cut me off and telling me were closed and I asked why would she tell me she would be able take my order made me wait 19 minutes in line for her not to even take my order so then I asked for a manager. When the manager came to the window she said we’re close again and I told her the situation and she said “well we’re close what do you want me to do we’re close“ And when I asked her for the store number she just stayed quiet and I had to repeat myself can I get the store number and then when she gave it to me I asked for her name and she literally stared at me, her name is Maria. The attitude she gave me is not for somebody who works in food business I don’t know who trained her but she definitely needs to be trained again because this is not the first time she does this to me.
Food just got delivered, I feel so cheated. I was ordering the New spicy chicken sandwich, I was so disappointed. The chicken taste like it was fried in old oil. The taste of the chicken was not Good at all, it wasnt spicy, you couldnt tell which one was spicy And which one wasnt. Because they came in plain wrapper, I also ordered an 8 piece, and that was the worst Popeyes Ive ever had. It didnt taste like Popeyes, it didnt smell like Popeyes. It was bad.
Friendly and attentive team members. Unfortunately we cant please everyone every time but some customers are just unpleasable.Kudos to ur team members keeping their cool.Ordered 50 pieces of fried chicken and it was hot and ready . I will not be eating at Popeyes any more. Terrible system for order taking. I walked out after waiting my turn and several new customers come to the side of me and I was next and they start ordering and the cashier supports it. Not a good system. Not a big deal but it kept happening. I could have spoken up but expect people to be courteous.
I went in and ordered fresh fries and wait almost 30 mins. The cook dropped the fries and no one fixed my order. When I asked about my order they told me they were waiting on the fries and I told the girl the cook dropped the fries 10 minutes ago. She proceed to give me the old fries until I told her I wanted fresh fries and had to again wait until a fresh bathe came out. Of course my chicken was cold by the time I got it. Poor service and no sorry for the wait or nothing.
The customer service is horrible here ! Lady at the drive thru window is so rude ! She had us waiting 25 minutes for two orders of tenders with fries just so she can tell us there was no fries after waiting and waiting. These females really need to get taught some manners ! & treat people with respect !
The regional manager should be ashamed of this restaurant. Seems like Popeyes is not concerned of the food quality here. I’d like to see a regional manager come and order food and sit down and swallow this dry cold chicken . Dried beans and rice , and don’t forget the hard biscuits. If no one addresses these restaurants nothing will be done . Walking to this location you can smell the oil has been burning for a long time and you can taste it in the chicken . It’s not the staffs fault they put out food with no concern because the managers don’t care of the quality.
So I get to the drive thru at 10:28 not realizing they open at 10:30 for the drive thru . I drive up to the window where Magdalena sees me and I decide to call at the same time because she’s making gestures to come around but not opening the window to talk . So finally she answers the phone while I’m looking at her and I tel her I’m in the drive thru r u not open she said to come inside . By the time my order was even taken inside it was a whole extra 6 minutes I would have had my Biscuits had she said wait one minute in the drive thru. Completely sucks at customer service
I had a terrible experience at this Popeye s Chicken. I ordered a 4 piece Combo white with my side, my beverage and a lemonade pie. After pulling to the window the employee goes on to tell me I would receive 3 wings and one breast. I explained to her that I order this same meal at Popeyes throughout the city and suburbs and that I always receive 2 wings and 2 breasts. She said that in order to get 2 breast I had to pay an upcharge of $1.50. Being highly disappointed with the rules at this location, I kindly asked for a refund and received it without incident. Needless to say, Ill never patronize them again.
The Cashiers seem to have an attitude Never inform you of menu items being unavaliable they just give you what they want you to have.. If you request certain items they want inform you its not avaliable they Lie and say its in the bag then u have to return to the store. its way to much socializing on the front line.. corporate needs to clean house from the so called Lazy Manager Marla Lusia to the front line .. How can a resturant have deals advertised and those items arent never avaliable.. the store wasnt open a entire hour and they were selling cold food how is food under the heat light cold i dont understand if shes a manager why is her store always under product well its an old saying the workers are only as strong as the person in charge so if you have a weak leader the rest of the team is going to be weak as well.. The food is ready on time and there are plenty of cooked chicken. The staff are very professional and nice when taking orders. This location have soo many customers buying this delicious food. Will definitely visit this location at Cermak Road and Cicero Ave in Cicero, Illinois again.
Drive thru experience was the worst. I couldn’t hear the lady on the other side and I had to repeat myself about 8 times because she would only repeat one part of my order to me and would sometimes stop talking altogether without warning. Then I get my order in a tray instead of in a box? How am I supposed to carry this in the car absolutely ridiculous service
Bad service especially at night the girls always have attitudes when they do a order wrong and you correct them then half the time there forgetting something then they dont give you a receipt half of the time. Then when you call they leave you on the phone and ignore you . And not to mention one of the girls there said she puts whatever on the receipts!! I only go there cause the food is good but Im over the service
That chicken sandwich!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!!!! Hot off the press, crispy with the soft bun, perfect pickle and savory sauce. Delectable!!!!! Youre only allowed 3 at a time due to the long lines. I went at the perfect time no line no wait!!! Thank you popeyes for a wonderful dinner!!!!
I often take my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is delicious and the crew is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we pass a gorgeous evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
Worst drive thru service ever!!! Incompetent workers. 12 minute wait in drive thru after taking my money. Asked for manager and it took 5 minutes to come to the window. When she comes, she offered zero support. And then they wanted me to park in the lot and WAIT ON MY FOOD!!! Never will I ever waste my time and money at this awful joint. Wish I had demanded my money back.
Service is horrible here. Trash customer service, they dont know basis mathematics, bunch of high schoolers and would rather play and gossip than do their job..management is just as sad. During peak hours of business the staff are lazy and drag their feet. The world could definitely do without this particular Popeyes Location.
Place doesnt honor coupons that other Popeyes do. You end up wasting a coupon on an online order and then show up to pick it up with them telling you they arent ordering that promotion. If you are not honoring the promotion, why accept the online order so the coupon cant be used at another location?
Incompetent cashier. My son asked for an order of chicken tenders and she would ask, chicken? My son repeated his order and she asked again, chicken? So thinking she gave my son chicken tenders, my son leaves the store to see a 3 piece in his bag and she did not give me my blackened chicken that I ordered. Will not be returning to this location again.
The worst place to stop at. Employees dont seem to care, dining room is a mess, and it has a very foul fecal matter smell. An extremely long wait for food and was out of certain pieces of chicken.I dont understand how youre a chicken place but you dont have or out of chicken.
In my opinion I like this Popeyes but the thing about it is they are so so so very slow I mean the environment is really nice its just it takes them a long time to give you your order... It seems like when I go there it is always one line and it seems like it is almost out the door

Stay away from this popeyes they are ghetto they charge 33 cent for barbecue sauces even though you pay $12 something for food the tables were filthy ,and I looking for napkins However the napkin dispenser was empty so I went to the counter and asked for napkins and one of the team members for napkins then I informed her youre out of napkins her reply was its OK we dont keep them in their people take too many wow never again
As much I love popoyes I wasnt to happy with this visit!The chicken wasnt fresh they not even had hot sauce and I ask for spicy chicken!they gave it to me mild I get up and switch the chicken then they gave it dry and it was still not spicy and in top of that have to wait 25 minutes in front of the door to leave this place because they close the door while we were eating and nobody wanted to move and open the door even do I told them multiple times I needed to leave!
Lpve chicken but hate that slow popeyes the worker are so confused it is not good .The so called Manager said one price to me at the drive threw and 30 minutes later once I got to the window ,didnot low my order and the price what she told me and when she wrong it up it was 15 .ask what is this why is it 15 dollars she said oh it 12.99 plus tax .I said 9.99 to 12.99 is not what you said .you said 9.99 so a mess .I would not tell no one t go there total miss leading people .Hated It
Store 2953 let me say the manager lenora poor customer service I’m here trying to chicken sandwich for the first time and she making me want to walk out all I wanted was for the pickles to be put on the side and she told me that it’s either on the sandwich or I don’t get any so of coarse I said don’t put any which doesn’t make since I choose to eat my sandwich the way I want and then we order a pop and the pop is flat we go and ask for another one and we are being told that they have no co2 for the pop but they are still serving flat pop come on y’all please do better if it was me I would have walked out but my husband wanted to stay
I have been coming here for over 20 years and customers service is horrible there now including the management they gave me chicken without the skin on it the fires was milk warm , and I dont think the owner even care how this place is ran. now , I will be contacting the corporate office ....

2022-03-20THIS PLACE NEED NEW MANAGEMENT OR A SHUT DOWN FOR THE AUDACITY OF 30$ SPENT ORDERED ON GRUBB HUBB 645PM WAITED AN ENTIRE HOUR FOR DELIVERY COLD FOOD MISSING DRINK WONT BE RETURNING. COLESLAW WAS OLD AND WARM.CHICKEN SANDWICH WAS COLD CHICKEN WAS OVER COOKED NUGGETS FRIES POPCORN SHRIMP EVERYTHING WAS DISGUSTINGLY PRESENTED. NO PAPERS IN TRAY.

2022-02-02Deserves less than a star, I ordered 3 spicy meals all with sprite and I didn’t even check to drinks but I should have all 3 drinks had white grease and fried chicken crumbs(what it looked like but honestly idk) I threw away all the food, and lines were long and you literally have to ask for a cup holders and straws. and make sure you check your bag and DRINK needs new management asap. Will update once I go back to ask for my money back

2022-05-31We went there today because we don’t normally eat from Popeyes, just to try something different. The staff was terrible, not cordial at all. Everyone had an attitude and they were just opening. My husband was looking at all the staff and how they all were so nasty. The chicken was delicious other the wings were small as two of my fingers. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know not to patronize this location on Cermak and Cicero. Terrible place to eat. They gotta do better. They all seem unhappy with their jobs and all of them should get out of customer service. This place should be shutdown and get some professional people There with people skills.I don’t advise anyone to eat at this Popeyes. I try to support, but you can’t support everyone.

2022-06-07I wont knock the food, just the service. I try to avoid going to this location because they take forever to take your order. The drive-thru line is ALWAYS long and the workers always seem to have an attitude. Never had a serious issue with the food, just the bad service. ALWAYS double check you got everything because several times Ive left and found Im missing something. Even when theyve confirmed that the sauces are in the bag, theyre missing. So take a quick minute to go through your items. Be prepared to wait. Getting food here always takes a solid 30+ minutes. If you can avoid this location, I recommend going to the one on Cermak Ave a few blocks away from Riverside Mall. The biscuits there are also fluffier and more buttery.

2022-04-12Made a mobile order almost an hour and a half prior to pick-up. When my SO arrived to pick up the order, employee told her she didn’t know what she was talking about. Manager got involved & went through the receipts that had printed at the register, eventually locating our mobile order.It took almost another 30 minute for our food to be prepared. Location was out of red beans & rice.. it happens. They replaced it with Mac N Cheese. But we also ordered a dinner meal for my daughter & they forgot the side order of fries.I’m giving two stars because the food was still decent, but the experience to get the food was extremely lackluster.

2022-04-15If I get the food it definitely hits the spot but I have had issues every time I order through DoorDash, the app or Uber eats. They give me the wrong order, items go missing or sometimes they even cancel the order. Overall skip ordering from this location and if you do pick up or dine verify everything is good cause they will skimp out on things.

2022-06-06Complete and utter disaster. Sucks how this is the only nearby popeyes where I live. Of course it’s the worst one. Where do I even begin. Obnoxious and rude staff all the time. Like I get it, You’re not paid enough to care. It’s cicero after all. No one is. But at least stop yelling and messing around while people are standing in line and waiting. Food was pretty good. Though make sure your order is right before leaving and never order doordash or grubhub from here. Guaranteed to forget something about your order.
