This place does not even deserve one star we were seated at a seat that had trash underneath the table including silverware well there was other tables that were very clean the waiter acting like she did not even want to service also gave us a song and a dance that the pop machines were not working so we would have to take a can Coke or a canned Sprite when are drinks was given to us they were poured in a glass my husbands pop which was supposed to be Coke was really flat Diet Coke I ordered shrimp and french fries they had just throw them on the plate together the french fries were not even cooked we ordered my daughter mac and cheese her french fries were not cooked at all and were even cold the waiters are just terrible people I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy they need to close this place down or change these people or teach him to change her attitude and really did not appreciate hearing oh shes just a Karen just because I feel like I should have got put at a table that does not have trash underneath it like everybody else Im just supposed to accept what they give me while they give everybody else that walks in their clean tables this is all on call for was totally ridiculous! I spent almost $40 there they really should refund me my money because I was just ridiculous
Tilapia and shrimp dinner I got was very delicious. The service was very good. I like wine with my dinner which they dont serve which is why I gave it four stars rather than five Stars.
Delish!Update: Tonight we had wonderful meals and great service. My grilled salmon was perfect. Plain baked potato w/ side of salsa hit the hunger spot along w/ green beans and bacon. Tasty!
Missing SEVERAL items on my 50 dollar order! Ive only ordered from 3 times. Everytime Im reminded of why I dont order here more. Atleast the pancakes werent burnt this time....

Three Star because the waitress was awesome!! She knew everything on the menu and was real polite and respectful. If not for her (receipt says Dorrean 12/12/21. Table 15/1.. check 2995) Would have been a zero!!! Food was horrible and cold yet burnt? How is that even possible? Both of us almost asked for the manager but that would have probably been pointless and we were in a hurry. Never again 🤮
We where in the area. After spending a fun filled day at the hospital. My hubby took me out for a surprise dinner. I was a little shocked to hear the staff yelling at each other from kitchen to dinning room. I ordered breakfast . Sausage patties, hash browns crispy, over medium eggs and biscuit. The sausage patties tasted like spam. Gave me lots of crispy hash browns (yummy). Tried for three times to get my eggs right. I ended up eating them anyway. They were nowhere near what I ordered. An I am still trying to figure out the biscuit was. Over baked on outside not very tasty on the inside. It just tasted it. Left it on plate. I ate what I could because my husband was so thoughtful an took me out for dinner after a long day. So I wouldnt have to cook. I ate everything I did with a big smile on my face. Didnt want him to think I was ungrateful. Dont know if I would go there again. The atmosphere was run down . The staff childish. Food nothing to write home about. My husband after 20 years I wouldnt trade him in for the world. Love him dearly. Perkins not so much.
Great food and service, ordered online and food was ready and fresh when I got it, even though I was a few minutes late (I rode a bike almost 2 miles 😂) pictures is my food all mixed up but hashbrowns came in separate container and fries are still good, back at home!

The pancakes were outstanding.The eggs over easy werent cooked long enough. The white of the eggs was still clear and runny.The hash browns were nice and crispy. The portion size was meager.I didnt care for the coffee.It tasted bitter. Over all a good experience

Love their breakfasts, especially ham and cheese omelets or Belgian waffles with strawberries! Especially on free pie Mondays! Im a known customer and always have excellent service.

It was ok. They lost our order we waited an hour even though the place wasnt busy. But busy with door dash and phone calls and short handed. My friend dinner was cold and not cooked good.
Went today for early lunch. Waited a little longer than we should have for our food and it was cold. Butter would not melt on the French toast. And my big country skillet with eggs over easy was a wet icky mess. Waitress never came back to check on us and as long as it took to get it we knew not to send it back.
Service was slower than it should have been for no busier than they were, the food was only luke warm. Their hours say are open until 10pm they decided to close shortly after we got there around 8pm. Its definitely going to need some work before we go back.
Unless customer service improves, avoid. I doubt this place will be here long. Over the course of the last month or two, I have consistently had terrible service here. The food is pretty good, but everything else has gone to pot. Once I waited 15 minutes to be set. Another time, I had to listen to the phone ring off the wall for 10 minutes with no one answer it. Another time, I sat in the seat 17 minutes before I walked out with no one taking my order. Tonight, my appetizer came AFTER my meal, and the server was sitting in the booth behind me chatting with a friend -- a friend, who was dancing around in the pew and slamming the booth up against my back. Enough! This place is circling the drain.

Came in at 12:30 on Wednesday. There were 6 tables of guests and every other table was empty. We waited 5min to get greeted and we were told they had to clean a table. They never cleaned the table just stood around talking and we waited 20 min to never be seated and we were the 3rd group of guests to leave in 30 min. Piss poor service and poorer management at a excellent establishment. I never thought perkins had such poor service.
Enjoyed my dinner and the server was very helpfull and attentive. Recived a free Strawberry Crisp because they made too many. Food was good for the price.
I gave this 2 stars because the waiting service was slow. The waiters (my waiter in particular was really slow) and all the waiters were all over the place. I was just there about 30 minutes ago and they had quite a bit of waiters but only one cook in the back but other then that the food was ok and the waiters were nice. I probably wont go here soon or often. I stopped going to this Perkins years ago and today I finally went back and it really hasnt gotten any better so I dont know if Ill return but Ill try my best. :)

Although the server staff is great, the management is rude, inconsiderate, & will not resolve any food issues. The wait time thru the week is totally unacceptable, even when I could clearly see they definitely was not busy. As far as their online ordering, DONT DO IT!! It the worst!!! Your food will not only be wrong but also way way over cooked. Plus dont try and call the restaurant, I tried for a couple hours at their opening and mid-day times & they wont answer.
Food was not the greatest! Their muffins were dry and the heavyset grey haired waitress was rude as hell. They wouldnt substitute the french toast out for just regular toast and we had to order a different meal due to a cinnamon allergy because of this. Kitchen staff was seen not wearing any face masks and some of their ceiling tiles werent in.
Not very good. Cod filet was like big fish sticks, greasy and tough. The asparagus was good. And it was Monday so we got free slice of pie.
It was okay. The chocolate silk pie was absolutely phenomenal and balanced this review!! The rest of the food was ok. My chicken strips were over cooked and I couldve gone without the fried pickels. The cheeseburger was an average cheeseburger, and my sons grilled cheese was too greasy. He only ate a few bites and he loves grilled cheese sandwiches (maybe it was a different kind of cheese.🤷🏾♀️)
Good deals on food, cheap compared to most places in town. Only real downside I had was Everytime I order steak its always way too over done compared to what I ask for. Overall good dining restaurant.
Absolutely the worst meal I have ever eaten. We visited a few times. The food was not great but it was not awful. This time we did take out. The eggs were ordered over easy....they were fried do hard that there was no yolk to dip in them. The toast was not only soggy but it was burnt do bad my dogs would not even eat it. The sausage was under done. The bacon lacked flavor. The hashbrowns were good. I ate the hashbrowns gave the rest to my dogs....never ever ever will I go there again
Well this is nice. Is drinking weak, barely even brown, cheapass, somebody but idk who, MUST call this coffee the new IN thing to do? Nobody has good coffee anymore. I asked the waitress if they could make it stronger and she said no thats the coffee we have. Come. On. Like Im stupid, lazy broad. Wonder if the food will even be ok.
The last time I was at Perkins I vowed not to go back because of the very poor service. This time it was much better. I had forgotten what a spacious nice place it really was. Waitress was nice and did a good job. The only problem I saw was the good food was a bit cold. That needs to be addressed and they would do better. It would be nice if they could update it some with a new rug to brighter it up or something. I like this place and wish them well.
Perkins was busy for a drizzling fall night in Decatur Illinois. I always see some delicious choices on the menu and yet I lean to breakfast everytime. I happened to luck out and when I was ordering 1 SPICED PUMPKIN PANCAKE (DECADENT SPICES, and moist (pumpkinny [ is that even a word?!] delicious pancakes!My hearty keto meat n egg breakfast with an additional pancake eas SPOT ON.TIP: FOR A FALL TREAT- STIR A Tablespoon or 2 of Apple Butter in your black coffee. Yum!!!
Wouldn’t go there you stand and wait to be seated, stood 10 minutes and they weren’t even busy , and the waitress just looked and you and went on , it’s shame cause the food is good but the service not so good

I cant believe how I was treated very unprofessional. I ordered food last night online from their website. It was a nightmare.they website said they were open till 8PM. So I ordered the food I went to pick it up they were closed made me so mad. I called the following day they didnt even want to give me a discount or maybe a free meal. I cant believe how unprofessional they were . They never updated their hours on their site . They said they closed at 7 mad me madder . They said I worked all day what does that have to do with me ?

I usually enjoy Perkins breakfast much more, but today my hash browns where burnt, our toast barely had any butter. We got our drinks after 15 minutes of waiting and only 2 minutes before we got our food. The waitress was inattentive and honestly had a rather displeasing aroma.
We went to dinner Monday evening around 4pm, 6 adults 1 child. It took over a half hour to get our drinks. Just about everyones meal was missing items. Side soup was brought with meal & only after we reminded the server. When we went to pay, we were told I think by the manager that its free pie Monday. Which we were never told about. We all were offered pie to go, which was nice. We got there before the dinner rush, but it took hours to get out of there. The food was just okay, pie was good. Probably wont go back.
I was seated fairly quickly. The wait staff was friendly and pleasant. Our food arrived hot and within a proper time frame. It was very good! The staff stopped by frequently and asked if we needed anything. The check out was quick and the cashier was friendly and smiling. I rate it a very good experience!
Great food, great staff, and low wait times. I always get breakfast. Their waffles, pancakes, and biscuits are always wonderful! Usually well get a pie to take home, which are always amazing! Even when the restaurant is busy, the waitresses are always very nice and accommodating. One of my favorite places in Decatur!
The waitress was extremely nice! The food was absolutely disgusting the pancakes where raw in he middle everything was cold. We got our meal for free because of it and asked if we wanted any pies of anything for free. The waitress was super nice. After waiting a hour and a half we almost left.
The food was mediocre, service was slow for how empty the restaurant was. We had to ask multiple times for refills/to go boxes/the check. I remember now why we hadnt been there in 2 years.
The server was great. We both had pumpkin pancakes and they were raw inside. I had corned beef hash and everything was cooked just right the corned beef had no flavor. Not there fault probably. The waitress got the pancakes removed from the bill.

Severely understaffed. Third time we have walked out because they cant seem to even seat us. One waitress mentioned it was her last day so she wasnt going to seat us. So there was one person working tables, register and seating people. Rediculous! Also food has been over cooked or fried in old oil on numerous occasions. Dont waste your time or money.
Enjoyed. I havent been to Perkins in a very long time. Nice to see the menu still had the old favorites and yet had new updated dishes as well. I had an omelette with pesto and it was delicious. Service was exceptional. Our waiter, Ado was professional, courteous and helpful in all the right places. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
My party of 6 walked and stepped up to the please wait to be seated sign we stood for about 5minuets waiting to be acknowledged when the hostess finally came over she never said hi hello how are you etc as a matter of fact she never even spoke waved or smiled. She proceeded to gather menus and silverware and walk off without ever once saying follow me or right this way please not a word spoken just her continued poor attitude and horrible deminer . It was at this point we never followed her and took our business elsewhere as we will continue to do.my attempt to contact the manager was met with a rude person answering the phone and told that well shes too busy to talk and the phone call was ended.this is completely unacceptable and should be dealt with.
My experience from the time I walked in til the time I walked out was AMAZING!! Server Donnae knew the menu and was able to help me decide and the dish was served well, quick and delicious. She checked on myself and guest several times to make certain all was well. The service was quick, friendly and inviting. I had to ask to speak with manager and even Lindsey was approachable and friendly. Im like the Terminator.... I WILL BE BACK!!! Thanks Perkins!!😍😍
Today was not a good experience. The service time was over an hour from drinks to receiving our food! The waitress was cordial but the kitchen must be working short staff..When cashier asked how was everything & we expressed our service, she said well everyone arrived all at once! Uh, no...
Delicious as always, must of been in a hurry tho, I ordered the big country as always, came out with barely on gravy and small amount of tots, service was good! Overall was a good experience, would recommend!
The staff was very friendly.. I ordered the chicken fried steak.. It tasted like the grease needed to be changed.. It had a funky after taste.. We got to listen to one gal that works there sing This Little Light of Mine.. That was entertaining.. There was a customer in there that was being way too loud the whole place could hear her.. Would have been nice if they had asked her to keep it down a little.. Not too sure if well be back or not
Perkins is decent for an inexpensive chain restaurant. We had a group of 6 and some felt like having breakfast so we chose Perkins. Our waitress was competent and friendly and we had good service. I am a vegetarian and asked for a substitution for the meat and they were able to accommodate. The food was well prepared and as expected.

The food was average to crummy. The servers were never friendly, the service was slow, and they didnt like giving us the 10% discount offered because of the hotel we stayed at, even though it was their advertisement that offered the discount. The place was never busy (for good reason) and I just did not enjoy eating there.
A great dining experience. Open 24 hours and has an extensive menu with, very reasonable prices. They even offer seafood and after hours specials. You can even get a free slice of pie with many dishes. The pie is exceptional . You will enjoy yourself here.
From seating, ordering, to eating in less than 10 minutes. Now if their Crazy busy, yes youll have to wait. ( but if you wanted Fast Food, Mc Donalds is down the street. Very, very good food, deserts. No complaints from me! I love their Chicken pot pie! Large chunks of white meat, hand made, homemade taste.Extremely curtious, friendly staff.
The food is GREAT here. You should always go over there for a early morning brunch or breakfast. The service is very slow. You should not go there st 11:00 am. It is very kid friendly and they have entertaining kids menus. BUT there food is very filling. You should probably after a workout. If you have kids that are picky eaters then bring them here for the great menu choices
Have visited this place for more than 25 years, food has always been good, prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. Service has been very good for the most part, a little slow at times but a lot of the meals are cooked to order. Wish they were open 24 hours as they used to be. And now you can charge your portable devices at each booth table.
We are new in town and thought Perkins had a good reputation. Not so with this one. No one to seat you. Finally seated and server said she would return in a few minutes. At least 5 min later she passed our booth and said, Oh, Ill be right back. Heard her chatting loudly in the kitchen for 8-10 min. then saw her go to the back and chat with customers who already had their meal. It was just friendly passing of time. We waited for another 5 minutes and then walked out. That is worse than poor service. You can remodel all you want, but it wont fix your problem until your waitress staff is properly trained!!!!!
Short staffed as usual, not sure if its a management problem or what. Food is usually okay but it shouldnt take an hour to get it when we were seated right away. I felt sorry for our waitress as she had to bus tables, seat people and wait tables as well. Supposedly they only had two cooks on staff is what we were told. Very disappointing overall.
There was no greeting when we walked in, just table or booth? My mom and I were excited to try the new Strawberry Cream Cheese Crispers and they were out. We both feel like if a new item is popular, you order more than just enough. We had to rethink our order and it took 7 minutes or more for the waitress to come back. My mom ordered a decaf coffee and didnt receive it until the meal came. The one positive was that our second choice meal was good. Finally, upon paying, we went to the register with our receipt and the cashier responded with her hand held straight out for the money and did not say a total. Terrible experience, but the food was decent. Probably wont be visiting again.

I have been visiting this location on and off for my whole 35 years of life that I can remember. In the past 2 years that Ive eaten here, Ive come to realize Im done eating here. When you enter the building, no one is there to greet you happily, nor right away. Matter of fact, it just might take you 3-5 minutes to even be acknowledged and then sat. And these are ALWAYS times when they are NOT busy(I know what busy is because I am a server myself)! Service is just slow in general, never seen a manager come ask how things are. Menu has changed, less options to substitute for. I also order food to go, its always a simple one person order that they seem to mess up or forget to put something in the bag. Something that also pissed me off one day I heard an older couple complain about how his eggs were cooked wrong, and by the time he got it corrected, she had all her food gone. The manager proceeded to tell the couple there was nothing she could do!!! Really thats funny, youre the manager, you couod have comped his meal or 20% off. Either way, Im over it and will NOT return!!!
Great food, good service at all hours, place was clean. Ive been here a few times and have never had any issues. The pie is always good, and the tea is sweet, so you wont get very many complaints from me! Prices are fair for the amount of food that comes on a plate.
The atmosphere on the inside was nice. The place felt well kept. However, the personnel left much to be desired. I had asked for a side of fries with my salad (weird I know) and the waitress serving me said nothing, then sighed, then said You may, as if what I was asking for was going to cause her to go great lengths to achieve.To add insult to injury for the establishment, I didnt even receive my fries. But she didnt charge me for them, so I decided not to say anything as in some cases its best to avoid confrontation, especially in Decatur.

20 minutes after ordering we were told they were out of crêpes so we ordered something else. While we were eating I heard another customer being told they were out of crêpes. The waitress new they were out but that customer wasnt told at time of order. Not a way to run a business. I wonder if they knew when we ordered??. Someone not doing a good job of ordering. We hope this changes soon as we dine here about every other week on Sundays and it seems like this happens often.
Went there Friday night about 6:15 and when we still had not received our order by 7:20, told our waitress to cancel it. She had told us 20 minutes prior that “ it was on the grill” and they had been backed up but was getting caught up. Couple sitting across from us had placed their order 10 minutes before we had and still had not received it by the time we left. Felt bad for our waitress. Not her fault. Looking at the other reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence. Think management needs to find the problem and take care of it.
We had to wait for a short time. (Just kidding) Were seated,& weclome like family!!!!! We get back here as often as we can!!!! The services was very good, we got our meal N great time & was very gooood taste!!!!! Thanks too Chris (Our waitress) & the chef that prepared Our food!!!!! Treat people like U like too B treated!!!! Large varied menu, friendly staff, check your needs frequently, 2 sections of menu have low cost breakfast items and lunch- supper combos. Desserts baked on premises. Have wifi, often sit with pot of coffee, and book or paperwork and they dont mind. Not during busy times of course. Background music is pleasingly IN the background. Baked items ( not pies) are buy 3 get 3 free. Half price appetizers and desserts after 9 pm. Food is good. Perkins is comfortable. I like it.
Very slow there and food not so good
It wasnt super busy.. the entire front section wasnt even being used and it still took 40 mins to get our food. The group next to us came in at the same time and still didnt have food by the time we finished. They didnt have our sons corn out for another ten mins after our food... And the cookie that comes with the kids meal... They were out of chocolate chip and sugar and the oatmeal raisin were hard as a rock. The food was not bad but the service and wait were not fun times especially with a kiddo
Went to brunch with the family on a Sunday and it was just starting to get a little busy. The wait wasn’t long at all but when we got seated the section was soo dirty!! Cheeseburger pieces and fries all over with wrappers and other food just left all under tables. At one point I thought they were about to come clean it up when they started moving tables around for a party of 6 but they literally kicked the burger out of the way!!!! So nasty! And this was my first and last time there sadly.
Good reliable 24/7 diner. Decor updated. Some of their new menu items are great but I miss some of their old hits too(chicken quesadilla & french dip). Late night specials are high value as well

Great Senior Breakfast!! Of course the muffins are all yummy, and difficult to pick one to eat. Wait staff was very prompt to take otder as well as friendly. We didnt feel rushed to leave when finished with meal.
I am sorry to say the experience was bad, the server needs to be better training, the bus boy needs to be more customer consensus ( not yelling for waitresses and noise table cleanup).

Let me start off by saying, that my first job was at this perkins location, and I have been eating here off and on for the past 18 years. And. oh how the mighty have fallen! If I could give them no stars I would! First my sons and my menus where dirty, chocolate syrup I believe or rather i hope...the mens bathroom was the worst Ive ever seen dirty floors, baseboards, and mirrors where cloudy, and different size and color pubic hairs on both urinals...discusting!... There was no cleaning schedule posted either. The server did not ask what temperature I wanted my steak cooked, when i asked she proceeded to tell me that they cook them medium well and dont ask any more because once a steak comes off the grill it cant go back on...total BS but the way my steak was well done not meduim well on my opinion Zero stars.
Tonight we had the best service here Alexis our waitress and Jesse the cook were so attentive to our needs I know during this rough time going on in our world people can be short tempered impatient mean and heartless that was not the case Thank you Alexis for making our dinner experience a great one after a long day of traveling💜💜

Our waitress was very slow. She kept talking to other people and took forever for her to take our order. had a manager was behind the counter laughing and talking while we was waiting to take our order and get our drinks refilled. Once we got our order after while the manager came out and said that I could not get what I want cuz I was out of it.
The food is good the service is generally good it really needs a update the bathroom isnt what I expect for national chain restaurant last time I was there I spoke to someone in the kitchen it appeared to be cluttered and not maintained as was the carpet in the dining areaUpdate to my Perkins review I no longer go there corporate started changing the menu we were there on Mondays and we got a muffin with our mail and a piece of pie which was early great corporate decided that they would start serving fruit the fruit was normally not right and also not fresh had a little discussion with our server which we joke with from time to time about my meal and apparently wasnt her day and she responded with a comment that included F@#KING needless to say we dont eat there anymore

Was seated immediately. You can have any meal (breakfast or dinner) at anytime. The prices were very reasonable and the food was great. The staff was friendly and professional.
We went to Perkins on our lunch hour, and waited 15 minutes to order our food, and the server kept telling us it was on its way out and we ended up having to leave without eating and 5 minutes to return to work... The server did apologize and let us know they were very short staffed that day... I am Still hoping to give them another try, just when we have more time to spare :(
Came here after a night with friends ordered food with biscuits And gravy. My biscuits were so hard I couldnt cut with a fork. When I told them they told me they didnt have any biscuits for another 30 mins. Really you are a breakfast place and no biscuits! Guess Ill be going elsewhere

Service was awful!!! There was a party of six of us, we were only ones there when we got there and they werent sure if they had room for us. Finally got waited on and after 11/2 hrs still waiting on the bill. Two waitresses and maybe 13 customers 😠
The server we had did a fairly good job she tried but this service of the food in the quality of it was horrible, took way too long there was three tables in there and we waited over half an hour to get her food and while we are waiting on our food the supervisor and the cook were outside the front door smoking within about four feet of the door we could sit there and see them we were watching them and the poor girl was by herself trying as hard as she could what I recommend anybody go there no thats why I didnt even give you one star and it wasnt because of waitress it was because of the manager
Clean, fast and friendly. We heard the kitchen staff singing xmas songs very well. U can tell people there like there job.
Made eye contact with the host twice she was on the phone, busboy walked past the host stand twice made eye contact but didnt acknowledge us, waited 15 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant, felt invisible. good food bad service on this occasion

You know what, I had the option of not eating and I walked in there, ate, and left. I couldve starved. Thanks to Perkins, I had the bare minimum quality of food and ended up surviving.

Dont go after about 9:00 in the evening. You will wait forever to get seated and be treated rudely and ignored. Had to leave. Night manager saw my family leave and didnt say a word.

This is our favorite restaurant when we visit Decatur. Great breakfast menu. We have eaten here for lunch and dinner as well. It is a clean restaurant with a friendly staff.
We were seated in about 10 min. After another 30 we left without being served. Not going back.
This place is one of the BEST places for breakfast around decatur. Their apple pie is pretty awesome as well, and on Mondays you get a free slice of pie when you purchase a meal 😋

. The quality of the food is not up to par. I think the last time the restaurant was remodeled was in the 90s early 90s. The restaurant menu needs renewed. They need to tell you that everything is EXTRA......you do not find this out till you get the BILL. Hold on to your wallet.

There was hair in my food...sent it back and ask for them to take it off my bill because I didnt eat anything .They wouldnt they took $3 off and that was it and the manager was extremely rude stood at the table asking for payment because she didnt want me to go to the cash register and other customers hear me . I refused and told her I would pay when I was ready to leave I will never be back

2021-11-15On weekends, we take a break from me cooking at home and dine in at a restaurant. Tonight we chose Perkins. My first time here. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We got there 15 min before close. Google hours are not accurate since COVID-19. My youngest ordered a burger and her fries came on the side. Husband had breakfast and since i trained for a half marathon i naturally choose healthier options and had fish. Food is good. The kids received cookies with their meal and the hubs and i took a pie to go. Their pies are really good. Typical wait time for food to be served. Asked my kiddos if they would like to come back and they all agreed with a yes. So this speaks for itself. If kids will eat, it is always a plus in my book 😅.

2022-04-21Every time Ive eaten here has always been a huge pleasure. The food is hot, and the servers are exceptionally friendly. The last time I went, they were out of rice for my fish and shrimp entree, so they sent me home with an extra order of strawberry crispers, free of charge! One of the waitresses also said I was pretty and mentioned how lucky my fiancee was. 🥲 Totally made my night.

2022-04-04In Fall the Pumpkin Whipped Topping Pie is my favorite.Unfortunately, this restaurant has really went downhill over the last few years. Theyve been short staffed lately which adds to their declining quality of service. Their dessert cases need a good cleaning and remodel back to the way they were years ago. The lighting in the cases needs to be yellow and not bright white and they need to go back to the long display trays instead of the random plates they use now. The dessert case is the first thing customers see and an indication of the quality they can expect while eating there. The way the dessert case looks now does not look very appealing.As a DoorDash driver I try to avoid picking up from here and Mr. Beast Burger that’s located at Perkins. The orders are never ready and youre left waiting around for considerable amounts of time. Ive had to unassign several orders due to the long wait times.

2022-03-01We love this place! Great food, nice employees, clean. However, on this trip(a Sunday), we were second in line to be seated (hostess seats customers). We waited 15 minutes, and the couple in front of us was still waiting. She said theyd been there for 5 minutes, so a total of 20 minutes for them and still no seat. There were empty tables. Not sure why, but no one came to seat people. A few employees came by and said someone would be with us shortly. We finally left. That being said, its a good place to eat. Im not sure what happened on this day!

2022-03-06My wife and I went to a Perkins in Iowa last October. Used to have them locally in Springfield IL, but store went down hill and out of business. So this place looked fairly dated and run down and food was very marginal nothing like it used to be. And the syrup was like water. So gave them one more chance. Food was disgusting. Eggs were like old scraps scraped up from the grill. Syrup again was watery and tasted terrible like oil. And my wife’s skillet was salty with almost no gravy and the meat was dry. Once a fine dining experience for breakfast back in the day. Aloha Perkins.
