We received our estimate with 15 minutes. Staff took us under car to see likely causes of exhaust leak. Provided reasonable quote and work performed within a couple of hours. Staff did not inflate rates or suggest repairs on viable parts. Will use Palmas Auto Repairr and Muffler in the future.
Went in for a price quote. I was spoken down to because I asked a question for clarification. I was told you are not paying attention to me and what Im saying to you. Unprofessional. Not everyone understands specifications and terminologies with cars. As a professional its your job to help the customer understand and not be insulting. I left and went with another service who was more respectful and helpful.

They did a wonderful job replacing my muffler. I had no appointment, and they installed it while I waited. They are very professional and the job was done quickly. I recommend you give them a try.
I walked in on a Monday with NO appointment with a flat tire and needed it to be fixed by certain time. He checked it out and saw that it wasnt repairable. Offered to find a spare same brand but didnt have one but could get a brand new one same as the others and have it completed by 10:30 same day. He texted me saying it was finished and the price wasa the same as he quoted me. Very professional! Thank you
Got a new used engine replaced in my car for $3,000 and they didnt even change the spark plugs. My remote starter was taken and not given back to me. After this install a host of problems occurred soon after. Alternator they put in about 6 months ago went out, ac stopped working, and horn start going off randomly by itself. I will never spend a dime with this place ever again. They like to tell u to leave the car without even saying for what or explain what theyre going to do.
I’ve had my vehicle serviced here for over 3 years. They are very professional. The owner is very helpful and ensures your vehicle gets the services it needs and nothing more. Pricing is very fair and sometimes better than competitors.
Long story short, they lied to me about what was wrong with my car, they quoted me 2,000$ for a job that cost 40$. This should be illegal! be very cautious with these people
They always are very thorough with what exactly is wrong with a vehicle and tell you honestly what else is wrong. And what can be done at the moment and what can be fixed in a bit so you have time to save a little money to fix the rest of the cars malfunctions I trust them completely with my vehicle and they are my #1 go to spot cause I know they will always be honest with me and what is wrong they are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I had a flat tire yesterday and everywhere I went the prices were extremely high. Palmas Auto and Muffler gave me a great deal on 2 used tires and put them on right then and there. These guys got my business. The gentleman that helped was awesome also. 2 Thumbs up!!!
I love supporting my local small business. The owner is nice and informative, and he always lets me know exactly what problems I am encountering.After going to places like Firestone, who worked on my car and returned it to me either with a broken interior part or not running at all and jiffy lube who broke a sensor under the hood and tried to blame me for negligence, I will only bring my car to Palmas for maintenance work. I am extremely pleased with their honesty and results of my car.

Had a very annoying last minute issues with my starter amongst a few other things and had to tow my car to a mechanic, I was recommended here by a family friend. The owner Ery, is a very kind and genuine man who does honest work, I cannot believe the amount of money I saved going to him, my car is running like brand new and he had everything done for me within 8 hours, I’m happy to have found a good reliable mechanic in Bolingbrook that actually cares about the work he is doing and how he treats his clients!

Started using Palmas Muffler & Auto a couple of years ago off and on. Their good service kept bringing me back. Saturday experience was the best. The owner was able to squeeze me in so that I can get my emission test done. Palmss has become our go to repair shop for our family.

I went to Palmas Auto & Muffler to get my ball joints replaced last Friday. I was there 6mos ago to get my exhaust system done and was extremely happy with the service & price. Not only did he match the other competiters price, he went $80.00 below and was able to take my car & fix it same day under 2hrs. He also was able to replace my stabilizer sway bar link(coil), that no other mechanic had been able to figure out that problem. It was going on for 5yrs! It made car sound like something was going to fall out from below my drivers side every time I hit a bump in the road. It sounds and feels like my car is brand new again! Even though it has over 100,000 miles on it! I will be back, & highly recommend Palmas in Bolingbrook! I am extremely happy! This guy is an expert at what he does!
Terrible troubleshooting. Engine light on. After charging $90 to diagnose the problem they told me it the electric control module was the culprit.$290 later the light comes back on after 80 miles. Now they say $580 for a catalytic converter. Either a scam or they have no idea how to find problems without guessing first.I did have them put on a new alternator that I supplied and had no issues...hince the 2 stars
I have been to other shops before, but Palmers by far has surpassed my expectations. Not only taking the time to do full diagnosis on my car but also the detail explained all factors that pertaining to the job. Eddie is a man that to me seems to take pride in what he does,if you have been done before you should give him a try you wont be disappointed
I have lived in Bolingbrook over 18 years and used most mechanics in town, ever switching over to Palmas, havent had any issues with any repairs done on any of my cars. They are honest and straight forward and I wish other services in town were more like Palmas.

Tells me an hour wait and I agree, after and hour and a half I come back my car was parked in the parking lot, asked what happened he said he can’t do it until 1pm and an hour wait I walked out to my car went back to talk to him and then wouldn’t talk to me. This was the second time this has happened to me by the same place

Came here to get some axle-back Borlas installed after purchasing the parts online. I showed up and asked to see what the service entailed. Right there on the spot my car was serviced and the parts were installed! The job was finished in about an hour came out amazing! The quote they gave me was right on the money. All the other auto shops on that strip were charging me $200 for just an install!

I was from out of town and had an check engine light come on and I seen there shop just off the road and walked in and it was late in the day and they stoped what they were doing and took my car right in. They found the problem and with in an hour I was back on the road. They were straight forward and honest I would highly recommend them!

2022-03-25Eddie and the group at Palmas have done a great job on our Siennas! First a partial muffler and didn’t try to push on more than was needed and a second visit fixing our brakes and rotors. Very smooth and honest.

2021-11-23Needed some basic service for an older in very good condition car I have, use as a back up. Wasnt sure where to take since I have not had good experiences at other shops. Always want to do unnecessary work.Friend of mine recommend Palmas.They were very customer friendly. Understood what I wanted. Did not try to add on unneeded work. Job was done perfectly, in a quick and very professional manner. Will definitely take car back when future service needed.

2021-12-23Had my outer tie rods changed here, along with an alignment. Fair enough price due to protocols that were dismissed and unforseen complications with the repair.Edit: Mechanic mustve hit a rock during test drive. I subtract two stars for this reason. (refer to photo below)

2021-05-12I had a exhaust leak, turned out the muffler had a hole in it and pipe was rusting. The best price in town!! Got in right away and was out just as fast. True professionals at Palmas!! Will be going back here for more work in the future.

They are professionals and are informative about issues with your car and fair when it comes to pricing. Its hard and scary when dealing with mechanics but Palmas is changing my mind slowly but surely as theyre earning my trust. There is a difference in a mechanic who fixes your car and a mechanic who takes care of you and your vehicle...Palmas appears to be a place who strives to take care of vehicles and customers by providing quality service. 2020-12-02Ive had an exhaust leak on my truck that has been driving me insane for a few months. I took it to another shop and received a quote that seemed insanely high and what I didnt believe to be the actual problem. I stopped here on a whim and was given a fantastic quote. It took a little less than an hour and I left with a nice quiet exhaust once again. Definitely recommend.

2021-08-28If you’re trying to get ripped off then go to that place. A simple fix to the problem I had with my car they were telling me that needed a whole job to get fixed quoting me upwards of 600$ plus labor on a job that cost me 40$ on another shop not so far from this one. Get a second opinion for sure.

2020-08-21Palmas is always professional. They offer top notch service each time my vehicle is serviced. I just had an alternator installed and will have my front end suspension repaired by them also. I definitely recommend them for whatever service you’re in need of.
