OSF PromptCare in other cities:
Went in today to get re-examined because symptoms I had got worse. I was directed to go there by my doctor when her office was closed. Nurse made it seem like I was inconveniencing her by being there. Eventually saw the doctor and told her my concerns. She did quick looks (with no actual tests) and told me that she was giving me meds. Didnt bother informing me of what I could have. When I asked her how long I need to be off work she said Youre asking me to be a fortune teller which Im not. in a very condescending tone. I have never felt so disrespected by a medical professional ever. Will NEVER be back to this location.
We live out on this side of town, and having this facility within a 5 min. drive is fabulous. Weve never had a bad experience in the 8-10 times weve needed to go, wait times are generally very short (15-20 minutes on average) and every staff member weve worked with has been lovely. I cant say enough good things about this location or the people running it. Thank you for providing great medical care to those of us so far from the citys center.
While I understand you guys are incredibly busy, I got a lot of huffing and puffing while my two children were being checked in. No, my son doesnt like that doctor and Im sorry for that. His only way to express himself is to cry due to his speech disability. We ended up leaving shortly after that due to my son continuing to cry after his experience and the huffing and puffing we got. I generally take my children here and go here myself when sick and cant get into the doctor, but today was a pretty bad experience. I also noticed the receptionist role her eyes while on the phone with someone asking about the wait. While I know it is hard to deal with individuals in that profession which I respect whole heartily, not a good experience and will probably never go back.
If I could give minus stars I would I e been here for an hour with a sick fevered baby crying along with ten other people no one has been called back despite the rooms being empty and avantis was just delivered for staff and EVERY SINGLE PERSON IS BACK THERE EATING ... AT THE SAME TIME WHILE 10 patients sit in the waiting room. When I got someone’s attention to ask about why no one had been called back in an hour they shrugged me off and said they don’t control it. I wish my primary doctor was open today this is my only option and they are also rude and uncaring.
I went in for severe pain in my lower legs and didn’t wait for too long. They took me back to ask questions and take vitals. I got sent back to the waiting room because they were busy. The doctor basically said he couldn’t treat me because he didn’t know what was wrong. He said nothing was causing it and I just need to rest. I went to another doctor and found out I had a serious blood disorder that put me out of work for awhile. I’m so mad I wasted my time there and had to pay for getting “treated,” but luckily I went to another doctor!
I use to think very highly of this place. However, not any longer. Prompt care is suppose to mean quick or soon. My son has a foot infection, some weird type of ingrown toenail. It was bothering him in a Sunday. Only option was emergency room, or prompt care. Sometimes you cant get in to see the primary doctor. SO on July 30th we go to Prompt Care Nord Farms. The doctor on duty looks at his toes on both feet, says do salt water soaks, and take the antibiotic, and if its not better in a week, come back and we will take care of it. After 8 days we come back. At this time we are told he has a Pyogenic Granuloma on both feet, and will have to go to his primary doctor and then be referred to a specialist. These guys go to Medical school or what? Why do they study for 8 to 10 years to become a doctor and then they cant do minor surgery. Why did they waste our time and tell us to come back in a week? Now we are no further toward getting my son pain relief then we were 8 days ago. I dont think I will be going back. I am not happy with these people.
I almost hate to write a review and let people in on how awesome this location is! I took my son here for a couple of things that he had going on and they went above and beyond. I had taken him to the emergency room a couple days before and they didnt do anything. But the doctors and nurses at this place were kind and thorough and just all around awesome!
Wait was extremely too long for only 4 people ahead of us! Once in for a rash on the back of my daughters neck, and the Dr. Spending only about 7 minutes with us, she said it was impetigo, so wondering how she got this skin bacteria I mentioned to the Dr. That my daughter recently had a bad case of poison Ivy and would that have anything to do with her getting this impetigo.......and she responded No, not at all......lol so I got home looked up Impetigo and it said that children that have recently had poison ivy......WILL most probably then have a case of impetigo!!! So I called back to tell this to the Dr. And ofcourse I couldnt speak with her, so the nurse did, and well she just basically said well maybe the dr. Misunderstood you, lol really???? Will never go back, was just on that side of town so we tried it, we usually go to the one on the east side. Very disappointing as we where there for 2 hours, for 5 minutes with the doctor! Then received some false information!
While visiting Bloomington for the weekend, our 3 year old came down with a horrible cough. We brought him to Prompt Care on Nord Farms. The dr. did a strep test, and said he was fine. Two days later he was diagnosed with Pneumonia from his dr. at home and was given antibiotics. Very disappointed when we got an almost $200 bill for this dr. visit.
I work midnights In my symptoms started after hours on a Sunday so I go in on Monday morning to get a note for work and the person Seeing Me pretty much tells me she cant give me a note excusing me from work and basically I said go to the hospital emergency Room next time and pay a $250 deductible Ill never go to this place again

2022-07-16My visit at this PromptCare was great! I was in and out and the staff were incredibly friendly. It was so easy to interact with them and get a clear and simple diagnosis. APRN Kale was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely return! This was my first visit to this location.People take time to share their bad experiences, the great ones need to be noted too.

2022-09-05This is by far the best osf prompt care location. The providers listen and do a solid assessment. I was able to return to work within a day of treatment. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is that my insurance was not billed. Thankfully the provider asked if I was self pay and when I said no she said it was showing in the system. I went to the front desk attendant and she said I would have to wait until my bill arrived to correct it. I called back when my chart bill arrived for the full amount about 20 minutes later and she said it would be corrected automatically in the next billing cycle. I am just waiting and know it will work out in the end. Other than that great competent service.

2022-08-12The front desk female, Nancy, is very hateful, and vindictive. She personally saw to it that I was refused medical care, simply because I utilized my human, and legal right, not to wear a face diaper. Even though there are at least 5-6 employees present, she only put one on, as I entered, and 2 others, literally sitting side by side, werent wearing one. She said it was a federal ordinance that I wear one, which is a lie... theres no such thing. Plus, in April 2020, a court of law determined forcing this on anyone, was unconstitutional, and the unlawful mandates were declared null and void. I was told I could sit there all day but was refused any medical consult, or treatment. I left, sought medical care elsewhere, with zero issues, and was found to have a pretty serious and spreading, internal infection, caused by what seems to be some kind of insect, or spider bite, which would cause sepsis, if not treated.

2022-08-31Came here yesterday to get a record of my TB testing I got done at this Prompt Care back in May. I explained the Medical Asstant that Ineeded the record for school. She told me she wasnt able to print it off and I would have to go to OSF Occupational to get the print off. I let her know I came here and didnt go there. Needless to say I called OSF Occupational and they let me know they had no record of my TB test. Because it wasnt done there. They use agility NOT epic! I dont appreciate the woman at the front desk of OSF Prompt care Rivian Moterway sending me out the door. Im a Nursing Student and needed it for school. I called back to OSF Prompt care today and a woman was able to help me and let me know I could get my record when I come later. I couldve had them yesterday had the Medical Assistant simply printed them off for me. Not right to give me the run around like that. And this was after 5pm yesterday. So thank you to the medical assistant for having me waste time! I shouldve asked to speak to a supervisor!

2022-04-28Nurse Michele Kreger Johnsen was very curt and snippy with the patient. Cut her off over a doctors note and left promptly without allowing patient to state why. Patient is a teacher and if they miss a day of work due to illness they need to provide a note or covid test.Patient came in for a ear and UTI as well as said question about covid or note. While we were told that it was not an ear infection and UTI seemed minimal, Michele, was rude and made the patient cry once she had left the room. Patient will no longer return here as we have been shown we are not welcome and will not be shown the proper care we need.

2021-10-23As I approached the check-in, I told the woman I have a Service Dog as she went about signing me in. Then as we took a seat she loudly told us they dont allow pets. My Caregiver reminded her that hes a Service Dog and after not getting called to further see the dr.; as the only other patient there left, we knew from her comments and attitude that I wasnt welcome there so my Caregiver and I left after realizing they werent going to call me back to an exam room. Disabled people need medical help to!

2021-06-04This is the BEST, prompt care in town. The staff are welcoming, very polite, and very promt! The rooms are kept up, very well, and the office in general is very clean. The doctors and CPNs are amazing! I have never had to wait longer than an hour, for both the wait, and to be seen. Im usually in and out within 30 minutes. I truly prefer seeing the CPNs more than visiting my primary doctor. If youre looking for a quick and accurate visit. This is the location you are looking for.

2021-08-28I went to the prompt care at Nord Farms at 6:15 on 8/27/21 for ongoing neck pain and severe headaches. I saw Kelly A A Karr. She was very kind, so informative and helpful. She knew exactly what my problem was, what I needed for it and gave me helpful advice on taking care of the problem going forward. I was very impressed with her and trusted what she told me. Even though it was close to closing time she did not hurry the session.
