Ive been eating here since about 2005, I now live on the west coast and every time I visit I have to have one of their delicious burgers with a side of cheese fries.Family Restaurants like this are what America is all about. Best fast food in Barrington hands down

We enjoy eating out. Last night we arrived in this fine place which friends told us about. We spent a beautiful time there with first-rate food and a well-trained crew and a great cook. We added this venue in our phone list and we will certainly visit again very soon. We highly recommend.

I come here for hotdogs often, and they’re some of the best hotdogs I’ve ever had. Prices are good, and the food is even better, I’d recommend it to anyone
Was delicious, and for the price not bad at all. When you first approach the building it looks like a run down hole, just a stand-alone building, but usually those can be gems and this one was! Their chocolate shake was delicious, it almost reminded me of a Wendys frosty, but better, and their Italian beef was gigantic very flavorful and just the right amount of juice on it so the bun wasnt dry, but also was not falling apart being soaked thru. I do recommend giving them a try, I will be back to try more on their menu, and maybe get some pictures before I wolf down the food!
Over priced way over priced they think there in downtown chicago or something the dogs are ok but the fries are terrible burned and flavor filled with grease I won’t go there again over $20 for 3 dogs these people are out of their minds with those kinda prices

Let me start out saying this review is for the food and the food alone. The customer service is great and friendly and I have eaten here too many times to count as it is convenient and there are few other options in the area.The food is sub par at best. The cost of a simple meal of two hot dogs, fries and a drink is staggering when compared to the quality of the food. Typically around $10. When you compare this to Tommys $6 price range Im a bit put off.I would welcome the cost if the food reflected but it does not.What stands out most is the buns they use. The bread is light and airy akin to the cheapest possible bread you could find at a supermarket. Which cannot hold up to the steaming for the hotdogs or the excessive amount of grease coming from the low quality frozen burger patties being used.I know that they are frozen because they turn grey when cooked, as well as from my culinary training from a previous career.The only item i have enjoyed was the gyros, but they soak the meat and pita bread in a butter flavored oil on the flat top which takes away from the dish.The fries, while themselves are not bad, are cooked in oil that is dirty and clearly not changed as often as it should be.The chili is bland, thin and gives no indication that it is not direct from a generic food service can.I could easily pick apart every item on the list but i dont have that kind of patience or time.If I had to sum up the food in one short statement it would be......public school cafeteria

Not as good as it use to be. No longer Vienna. Not the same fries. Not the same servings with each customer. We could understand what was being said while they cooked. My sisters and I just looked at each other and shook our heads. Went there after havent being there for years and remembered why I stopped going. Had a bad experience last time years ago too. They didnt realize I understood what they were saying. Spoke to them in Spanish when I walked out. Left them stunned and embarrassed. Their attitude hasnt changed. Wont be going there again for sure this time.
We went there because we wanted to get gyro sandwich they over charged us for something that there many said was less and when we asked the workers there they just said prices could change with out notice put it doesnt say that any where on the manu or store for the gyro sandwich to pay almost 8.50 for it is not worth it you dont get enough meat or ingredient for the price.
Im from Chicago and this place brought back childhood memories. The food was awesome and the price reasonable. Great service. Definitely coming back now dat i know where its located.
Delicious food, friendly staff. They get the 1 star knock for not having a public restroom. The food can be messy (thats a good thing) but i could have used a sink to wash my hands afterward.
This was the first place I had a Chicago Dog when I moved to the area 8 years ago. Still as good as the first time. Honest food at honest prices served up with respect and a smile.

Food is fast, delicious, and low priced. Weve been picking up lunch or dinner there for 15+ years. Go. You wont be disappointed.

2022-07-14The Maxwell St. Polish was great. Unfortunately the fries were terrible. It will be a long time before we eat there again, unless they change their fries. Nobody from Chicago eats steak fries with a hot dog or a polish. It was very disappointing.

2021-06-01The fries were excellent. Had the Patty Melt, was a little on the greasy side but had great flavor and they put a very nice amount of grilled onions on the sandwich. Will be going back!

Everyone knows this place is the best!! 🤣😍 Eat all their food! This place has been here forever, my mom has stories about eating here in high school! That should be all the info you need, but, it is run by wonderful people who get your orders out fast fresh and correct! Ive never had a messed up order here. They have outdoor seating as well as bar style seating against the window.

2021-06-08This place is soooo good. I never take the time to write reviews but I went in for take out today and the food is delicious. It’s not just your average Italian beef and hot dog place, I would say it’s just as good as portillos or even better. and the fries are to die for!!! The owner of this restaurant is so kind and they have amazing food, it’s worth eating here because you know that you’re getting a fast, but homemade meal cooked by good people.

2021-06-18This place is really good. Decent prices. The only issue I have is a asked the for extra wet beef sandwiches... like extra dipped and need a fork kind of dipped... and I still have dry bread. Also wish they had a bit more outdoor seating.
