This is my first time owning a cat. I chose this clinic because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews and was not disappointed! The staff was so friendly and the environment was very welcoming. My kittens vet was very informative and explained everything thoroughly. The price was also very reasonable! I will most definitely be returning!
Let me just say how happy I am with the service and care for my pup here at Oak Forest. May 10th was his first time going here and Im so happy I found them online after not being happy at his previous vet. From the start the ladies in the front were super friendly and helpful getting him scheduled. I was a little hesitant of not being to go in the back with him since hes never really went with anyone else. But he was comfortable with his nurse and had no issues, proud momma moment! Dr. Kyle was amazing and came out and talked with me and asked if I had any questions. Found Chances new vet! Oh and the prices are very reasonable for such great service.

I LOVE this place! I adopted an adult female in May and she had a horrible sore on her front left leg. Because I moved from Oak Forest to Oak Lawn, I made an appt with a closer vet. My dogs first appt was at Suburban Animal Hospital in Oak Lawn. It took me several weeks to get her an appt, but that was understandable. Someone came out to get her and when the vet came to discuss her visit with me, she looked at me like I was a horrible person. She was EXTREMELY judgy and in a horrible tone said, your dog was bit by something. She wasnt specific so I assumed a mosquito or something. She gave me some wound cleaner and some type of spray antiseptic and sent us on our way.After 3 months, my dog was STILL scratching like crazy, biting herself, and was edgy. At that time I realized when the vet at Suburban said my dog was bit by something, she meant another animal. The bite mark was from my pups OWN teeth. I made an appt at Oak Forest Animal Clinic because I LOVE Dr. Welbourne. Hes kind, hes patient and he doesnt look at me like Im this horrible person. Well, it turns out my pup had FLEAS of all things! Had Suburban Animal Hospital taken their time to evaluate my pup, Id have known and been able to take care of it right away, instead of having her suffer with this wretched little nuisances. Dr. Welbourne also noticed a lump on my dogs knee which might be a tumor. Something Suburban SHOULDVE noticed but was in too much of a hurry to get back to me and criticize me (with her eyes).Ill NEVER recommend Suburban but will ALWAYS recommend Oak Forest! If youre new to the area and looking for excellence, PLEASE go to Oak Forest!! Theyve never disappointed me!!
Ive been bringing my pets here for 30 years.Today I brought in my recently tamed feral cat. Dr Ben was cradling her, and had her letting him pet and scratch her in places I havent dared.I can not say enough good things about everyone there.
Had to put my 13 year old Catahoula to sleep. Dr. was great as always 👌
From start to finish, our first visit at Oak Forest Animal Clinic was great. We were able to get all three of our pets in for their yearly visit a couple of days after my inquiry for an appointment. We waited for a couple of minutes after we arrived, and each pet was handled with care and compassion. The vet talked with us about our concerns and that was greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone! We are happy with our switch to Oak Forest Animal Clinic 🙂
I like the ladies here. Pretty cool. My furry companion was in and out in less less 20 minute for his wellness exam. They are always booked, but somehow they still will have availability for you with the next few days. I couldnt find a good vet close by. My regular vet was I Ottawa, IL. Pretty far I know, but thats because they do such a wonderful job. Ive finally found a replacement vet and I love the work.
Been going here since we brought Tonka home over 6 years ago. Very knowledgeable staff and friendly to deal with. You can tell the Team here loves animals. Heres Tonka looking for another treat- not trying to pay the bill. Lol
Dr. Ben was fantastic!! Very Informative and reassuring about the treatment plan for my dogs tore ACL. He answered all my questions, took the time, and made feel 100% comfortable. Pricing is so much more affordable and was able to schedule asap. Looking forward to seeing my pup out of pain and soon to be back to playing and being the happy dog he was before. Wonderful staff here. Everyone is always friendly and vets are very down to earth and explain everything/answer any questions. Its a 24hr facility with pretty easy check in via computer. But extreme wait time if urgent care is needed for other pets. My appointment went from 4p to almost 6p while I was 5min away enroute to facility. Then once I got to the door after waiting in car for time to expire time almost got pushed back again. But once inside the visit didnt take long at all. Great service minus long wait time. The visits are done by drop off at door wait in car.
The staff and gets are absolutely great. They are very helpful and explain everything very clearly. They have pricing plans, and work great with my shepherd and pit. Definitely recommend
Dr Ben is amazing, cant say enough good things about him. Dr Kyle is very good as well. Everyone loves and are there for the animals. Its been great bringing my dogs there and will never take them anywhere else.
They are all about the money. We had my dog in multiple times on an issue with his ear. It lead to a surgery that ruined his ear. We have taken our dog to another vet and even they said surgery could have been prevented. So now my dog walks around with a messed up bloated ear. I called today because hes been shaking alot and scratching his one ear and the vet in the past has given us cleaning solution thats helped in past. I called today to try to get that solution and they said they told me we have to bring in my dog for a full work up. Well because of Covid I cant afford the visit. And when I told the vet said they can do a zoom session but they will still charge me. This is nothing new my dog has these issues every year. They are more about the money than the animals!!

He is professional and cordial, with an excellent exam “table-side manner.” At the very first meeting you can tell he really cares about your animal. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. He is very generous with his knowledge, and will take his time to thoroughly explain things to you regarding his examination of your pet. I learned more about my animal in just 2 visits to Dr. Ben, things about his conditions, how to care for him, etc., than I did in 2 years with other veterinarians! His staff is great, very welcoming, helpful, yet always professional.I highly recommend Dr. Welbourne and his staff to anyone looking for a new vet for their pet!

After going to the same vet for over 20 years, I was becoming displeased and needed a new vet for my senior dog. Was referred here from a co-worker who had only good things to say about this vet. I called and made an appointment (after asking several questions first). The woman who answered the phone (didnt get her name) was very friendly and helpful and I already felt at ease bringing my fur-baby there. The staff and doctors are top notch and just amazing! Everyone was very warm, welcoming, and friendly not only to me but also to my dog. My dog is usually extremely hyper and she was very calm, relaxed, and comfortable the moment we walked in the door. Their prices are reasonable and within a few pennies/dollars (give or take) of my old vet. I would highly recommend and I am very relieved with my decision to choose this vet. I will continue to take my senior dog here and all my future fur-babies.
I have been bringing my dog here for about 6 months now and have been happy. The staff is great, short wait times, and they usually get me in on the same day I call to make an appointment. Dr.s are thorough and I always leave with all of my questions answered. Lola enjoys the cheese they give her too. :)
I have been going to Oak Forest Animal Clinic for 25 years. They have been our vet of choice for our Sheltie, cat, and two French Bulldogs. Not only is their team knowledgeable and professional, they are also very personable. They truly care about my pets and they take the time to make sure that I understand all procedures and diagnosis. I have seen all of the vets at their practice and would recommend them all.
This vets office is amazing. Dr. Ben and his staff did a awesome job with my dog who is not really into men. He made me and my husband feel so comfortable and confident in the work they do.
The determining Factor on why you choose an an Animal Care Center should be the reactions of your pet and care received. The care, compassion and enthusiasm consistently exhibited by the wonderful staff here made my temperamental dog Blade very comfortable both during his boarding stays as well as his checkups and shot visits.Both the owner and the pet should be comfortable as is the case.There are a multitude of Animal Care Facilities between my house in Beverly and Oak Forest Animal Clinic. I feel fortunate to have landed here.The lengthy trip is a small price to pay for the peace of mind Dr. Welbourne promotes.

Please read.Today was my first visit at Oak Forest Animal Clinic and I am very pleased. I felt welcomed and comfortable even though I prepared to feel intimidated. The place is very clean. The staff is helpful and puts things in simple terms for the customers understanding. I asked tons of questions of all staff answered to their level of expertise. So far, so good. I only rated it four stars because I wanted to give it more time to get my true opinion of this animal clinic. ❤️

Have been coming here for many years with my pets. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The Vets always explain things so you can understand what is going on with your pet. Love that I can easily schedule an appointment, sometimes at last minute.
My vet experiences with Dr Ben have always been great. Hes a master at working with my anti-social cat, whos scared of everything. The staff is great too! And I really appreciate the calming blanket they provide while we are in the waiting room.
The doctors genuinely care about your pets. Weve been bringing our dogs here for at least 15 years and weve had 4. 2 are no longer with us and while one was very sick they we so very compassionate every step of the way. I cant say enough good things about them!
Oak Forest Animal Hospital is a fantastic vet clinic. All of the doctors are knowledgeable and experienced. We needed a cardiac specialist after they identified our dog’s heart problem and they were able to get us into an specialist quickly and seamlessly, thereby saving our dog’s life! The staff is friendly and helpful, and they are considerate and compassionate when it comes to end of life care. I wouldn’t dream of taking our pets anywhere else, Oak Forest is the best!

Wonderful staff and amazing Doctors. They went above and beyond when my cat, Tilly, was diagnosed with cancer. I was up there at least once a week and probably called 5 times a week. They were so accommodating every single time. Unfortunately, she did not beat the cancer and she passed away. The support and comfort I received from everyone there was beyond words. I will always be so thankful for everything they did for Tilly. I highly recommend them!!!
The people in this office are amazing! Our cat was very sick, Dr. Ben did everything he could to help him. Unfortunately we had to put Garfield to sleep, staff members were very accommodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend this animal clinic.
We have gone to this veterinarian for years other family members go there. They have done several.operations on our dogs always with great success. They are always gentle with our huskies and are very knowledgeable about any situation we have. I wish they would open other offices and father south.
I couldnt go in with my dog because of the covid 19 lockdown. Parked out front and called them. They came out to get my pup. He certainly didnt want to go, but they convinced him. Annual checkup and vaccinations took 15 minutes. They called and gave me the results and had my puppy back to me very quickly.
Friendly staff that involves the whole family in our furry family members care. The doctors here are genuinely interested in our pets well being. I love that they are caring and patient in addressing our concerns and questions.

Dr. Ben was able to diagnose my 13yr old dog By just asking a few questions and looking at her. It was then confirmed by a few tests. Unfortunately my previous vet misdiagnosed her and was treating her for the wrong condition. The doctor took time to explain her condition, show me all of the ultrasound pictures and explain thoroughly the next steps to take and the cost of doing each. I am so thankful I was sent to Dr. Ben.

My 10yr old bulldog mix has Cushings & recently lost her appetite and was lethargic. My vet recommended an ultrasound. Dr. Ben is the best! He diagnosed pancreatitis & administered medications. Happy to say she is now on the road to recovery!
Unfortunately, my only opportunity to visit Oak Forest Animal Clinic so far is with the passing of my beloved 19 yr/old Spooky, but my visit was that of compassion. I think they could tell I was trying to hold it together when I brought his body to their clinic. The clinic manager took care of me and my boy right away. They know the bond between a parent and their furry children, something that seems to be missing at some animal hospitals.
A wonderful place to bring all your animals. Very friendly staff that care about you pets. For instance my cat is very anxious about the vet and refuses to leave her cage once in the exam room. However the staff will come out before hand and drape a towel which has something on it which will calm her down and make her much more relaxed. Ive never seen her be so cool and non hissy towards vets. Would recommend this place to any of my family and friends. This is now my go to place for both my dogs and cats.
Very nice staff. Very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained my options for my pet that had a bone tumor. The vet was very empathetic and patient with my son and I. Whenever I get a new pet, I will be coming back to this veterinarian.
My neighbor encouraged me to take my cat to Dr. Ben at Oak Forest Animal Clinic after my previous vet retired. I have been so pleased with the care my cat has received and the great costomer service given me. My cat is 17 years old and has many health issues and Dr. Ben is always a wealth of knowledge and offers sound medical advice, even for her most complex problems. I was battling fleas for 6months. I thought I could handle them myself, but nothing seem to work. I finally came here and immediately felt welcome. My cat ended up having an allergic reaction to the flea bites and was miserable. They gave her a steroid shot and within 24hours she was better. Dr was very knowledgeable and professional. With his advice and care I can now say my animals and house are flea free! Thanks again!
Good odor good environment safe due to covid rules doctor gave my poo poo an ultrasound and explained to me his findings suggestions and I was pleased he wasnt hurrying me out to get to the next patient I was very well pleased if you want great care or text for your pet this hospital is reasonable and does top of the arts work with care

After having a horrible experience at another animal hospital that left our cat terrified of vets, we found Oak Forest Animal Hospital and couldnt be happier. Everyone there has been very helpful making the experience more comfortable but especially Dr. Kyle Huizinga who has taken time, patience, and care to help keep our cat calm and happy while providing the care he needs.
Love that it is a family business. That I have my choice of Doctors. My dog Morgan loves all of you, and has no fear of going to you. He never wants to leave!Now, during the pandemic. Everything was handled very well. Waiting in the car for one of the nurses to come get Morgan. Dr. Ben Welbourne coming out to the car to comment on Morgans good health. The nurse bringing my Morgan back to me along with his medication. All handled very smoothly! A++

Fantastic little location here! I would advise that anyone with a timid/not socially adept animal bring a cage since the waiting area is rather small, but it works. The staff in there are excellent and friendly and have helped my pet on a few occasions here without any issue. Its out of my way but I still like to go here.

I have been going to Oak Forest animal clinic for years now and my animals have all seen Dr. Ben. The staff there are all great!! Dr. Ben is the first to give alternative options without me even asking. They dont overvaccinate animals here and always make sure you are 100% comfortable with what your pet is being given. Dr. Ben is constantly staying on top of all food brands as well as grooming products, probiotics and meds so he can recommend the safest products for the animals he cares for. Im a very satisfied customer and would never even consider seeing a different vet. I dont think that anyone could come close to the level of care that everyone gives here.
Our vet who gives our pups their annual shots and physicals is a vet who makes house calls (Dale Klein). When we are in a pinch for quicker, more emergency-like services, we bring our dogs to Oak Forest Animal Clinic. All of the employees there are courteous and professional. Dale Klein is slightly less expensive because we, as customers/patients, are not paying for any building overhead costs. Oak Forest Animal Clinic is pricey but it certainly falls within the norm of any animal clinic.
Great place to take your pets. Kyle Huizinga was the vet that attended our cats. He explained what he was checking for and the meds that May be needed. I would recommend this vet to anyone that cares about the medical procedures that their pets receive.
As a family we are so greatful to have found such caring and skilled professionals. Cant imagine going anywhere else. Weather you need a regular vet check or are dealing with a serious illness/injury the staff and vets will take the very best care if your furry family member. Our fur family consists of five dogs. Four are special needs and have had significant medical issues. We gave seen and experienced our share if vets. I feel confident youll live it at the Oak Forest Animal Clinic.

Everyone in the office really cares for your pet. The doctors are very knowledgeable and are great at helping you understand your pets condition.
There care and love for pets is tremendous I love there care for cats and dogs they reasonable and if you have a emergency they will squeeze you I highly recommend and very knowledgeable of pets health
I recently moved from the city, I was recommended by a family member here and honestly I couldnt have wished for a better visit the staff was very nice they even held my dog while I filled out the paperwork, the vet made sure everything was healthy on my puppy at no extra charge they gave me a puppy starter pack.The prices are very reasonable I highly recommend this animal clinic.
Great staff. I have 3 pets with various illnesses that were caught early thanks to the Drs Welbourne. Wouldnt even consider going anywhere else.

2022-05-04Thank you so much to Oak Forest Animal Clinic for taking care of Phoenix during his surgery to remove his bladder stone! They did an excellent job. I appreciate Dr. Huizinga for being patient, kind, and following up after the procedure. I’ve never been to a nicer vet clinic in my life! Highly recommend!!!

2021-12-17Do not bring your pets here. We scheduled our two females for spay and had problems from the beginning. Was quoted one price on the phone and given an outrageous bill after exam. After talking to the staff, they begrudgingly gave us a discount of 108 dollars. My cats nails were trimmed while under anesthesia so short some of their nails bled. We trimmed them before surgery so When questioned why they cut them, as we never approved and was NOT needed, we were told “it’s a service we provide”. In total, we spent near a thousand dollars on these procedures and are now having issues with our cats. We will never be coming back here, utterly disappointed in the service provided. A massive bill, with No cones sent home to prevent licking, no advice on after care, just a bag of meds and two traumatized angels.

2022-03-07I originally went to Oaklawn, they gave my dog 4 shots. Not sure what happened but my dog took a turn for the worse. Called them back they said bring him in the following Friday. Needless to say I didnt listen to them. I called the Markham vet they said bring him asap. They saved his life. Great place we love this vet.

2020-09-01I have a 90lb pit bull with severe allergies who is also easily upset (he is a big cry baby, and is traumatized easily) I was referred Dr. Kyle at OFAC after my other vet, of 20+ years wouldnt get me in for 2 weeks. I called and they gave me an appointment right away. The safety and sanitation procedures they have in place run smooth, the staff is friendly and Dr. Kyle was great! He took extra time with us explaining different options and I am confident we have a good plan in place for my dogs care. I am happy I found a new care provider for my big baby and will be bringing my cats there too.

2022-07-07These Doctors and staff are great they helped our fur baby get rid of a bad ear infection and skin allergy break out with no run around also helped us come to a closure When she suddenly passed away months later of a heart condition we pay for an autopsy which is called something else in the animal world I cant remember the name but they conducted their research and told us what happens to her It was suddenly and it was her heart...we thank them for being sympathetic and professional at all times.
