Update: Had a ectopic pregnancy which is extremely life threatening, could have been seriously injured if not taken seriously like this dr.Horrible front desk lady, came in for some female issues and was told that they wont help me and that i needed to see my doctor... who was closed on a sunday. Ended up having to go to the hospital for help and spending a ton more money.
I had a Brain Scan done at NCH Intermediate Care in Schaumburg-Milly did a wonderful job of making me feel very relaxed by calming me down throughout the complete procedure. I wish all personnel were as good at their job as Milly - she truly likes what she does and wants all who need procedures to be comfortable. Thank U !!
I was pulling up this facility on google to get their phone number and was very surprised to see that it was only getting a 2.8 on its review. I can state that I have been to this facility on numerous occasions and have never had a bad experience dealing with the staff, nurses or doctors. I was always treated with respect, in a timely and professional manner by all. I have never sat in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes and was typically out the door within 1 hour. Beats the heck out of any ER I have ever been in and the copay is a fraction of what I would pay going to the hospital.
I went to the Schaumburg clinic for UTI infection. The guy at the front desk registered me and asked if I will be using insurance. I said yes and asked if they accept my insurance. He told me yes which was the big lie. I received the letter from my insurance that they declined the claim due to out of network facility and laboratory. Now I have a bill for almost $700 for a 5 minutes visit. Unbelievable!!!
A lot of this set off bad vibe. Everything about it felt off to be honest and I plan to see folks I trust a bit more. After talking with some folks I found out they had similar issues/experiences and refuse to go to this location. I would avoid this place at all cost.
I was seen for an injury to my wrist. An xray was taken at the Immediate Care center and I was told a radiologist at the hospital had to read it. The physician that I saw said that the radiologist said there were no fractures so she told me I had a contusion and it should heal in 2 weeks. I went to see an orthopedic doctor 6 weeks after the injury because I was still in pain. He read the xray I had at the immediate care center and told me the radiologist was wrong and that I had indeed fractured one of my carpal bones. Also, I have never been treated so badly by a physician at any NCH location before. This particular doctor was horrible. She would not give me anything for pain and they gave me a wrist splint that I ended up having to pay $156 for since NCH did not bill for it. I am so disappointed in NCH at this moment. Next time I need immediate care I will seek help from Amita Healthcare or another health organization.
Experience and Staff were great- until the bill came. After being assured multiple times that the routine tests would be covered by my insurance the tests were not because nch urgent care knowingly sent them to an out of network provider! On top of that, they performed multiple extra tests without my consent (that each cost 71 dollars) and refused to return my calls. Weirdly enough, these tests were ordered by a physician who did not even treat me. A trip to the urgent care because of suspected uti should not cost nearly 300 dollars.
They did a procedure. I got my total bill.. We made a payment plan. The balance was PAID IN FULL. 2 months later they claim there was more left to pay. I asked them for statement where the new balance came from and they refused to send me a statement, instead they sent my new balance to collections. Northwest Community Healthcare are scammers.
Amazing experience. My boyfriend got a bad cut on his had at work and we came here. Mary at the front desk is absolutely the sweetest person ever. She was calm and really fun to talk to. Afterwards, we got quick service from Diane I believe, and another lady who I forget her name-it was maybe close to Nadine? Everyone was very professional and provided quick and kind service. I’m glad we chose this location to come for our care! Thank you!!
My toddler had very high temperature, bad coughing and wheezing in lungs. They made covid test and x-ray. Doctor listened to her lungs for 4 sec. Diagnosis - cold, treatment- over counter tylenol and motrin. Next day we went to our pediatrician, she did a great job for listening wheezing lungs. My baby has bronchitis, got antibiotics and other prescribed medication. Next time I will go to the hospital instead of here
In this day and age its hard to find quality Healthcare provider or physicians bias unprofessional docs like Dr. Permumal NCH in Schaumburg, nurse and receptionist was nice at this location, some foreigners bilingual docs or receptionist are extremely rude, most places, bring the same bad mentality they ran from when they come to America, also nurse practitioners at Greater Elgin poor care 3 of their clinics it seems like we owe them something, respect only comes one way and thats from the patients, they dont value their patience health. its about the salary they get on top of extra for x-rays and return visits the love of the old Mighty Dollar. I had a doctor for 20 years Dr. T, he was from India, he was caring, informative, helpful and happy to take his time and listen to you without rushing the visit. Calls you in on time before your schedule appointment time, anything you need far as your health is concerned. the bad thing he passed on these new docs self crazy I went for Immediate Care, I didnt get it, just I dont feel comfortable prescribing certain medications for two days and skin cream just a waste of time and money, but I think she gave me the right x-ray results she said, I have arthritis?hoping to find a good Doc some day soon.
I went here for a urinary tract infection, which is a pretty common infection. I was treated quickly and the staff was nice. Unfortunately I had to come back for the same thing less than two weeks later. The bad part came when I got the bill. Before my visit, Id called to confirm my insurance would be accepted. When Ive had these infections before I usually pay a small copay, get my prescription, and am on my way to feeling better. This time I owed over $500 due to over $1000 of testing for this basic infection that probably could have been confirmed with a simple dipstick (my insurance had not changed). While my actual visit was billed as if I saw a doctor in a basic office, these additional, expensive tests were billed as if I had gone to an emergency hospital facility. To top it off, I got another bill from the lab that did the testing requesting that I pay more.Go here if you cant go anywhere else. Youll be treated, but ask lots of questions about the services being provided and if they are absolutely necessary because you will probably have an expensive bill to deal with afterwards.
Started going here after a bout with very bad headaches that led me to the NCH ER, came to find out that it was a sinus infection that was untreated that the hospital didnt even take a look at when I was there. Every other instance that I have contacted this facility, they have been nothing but professional and more than willing to help me out when I need it.
Given rude service by a nurse. She was very rude to my three year old and myself. Didnt bring us anything, I had to leave the room to go find my own sterile cup to collect my three year olds sample. I told her last time we were here, it took 4 hrs to collect my childs sample. She reply well you have two hours because we close. So we get kicked out at closing?! You dont help a young child that doesnt get whats going on. Thankfully my child got a sample done before they closed. And to top it off she was running her mouth about my child as she walked by our room. Wont be going back. Dont take small children here. The wont get the attention and respect they deserve. The Dr and front desk were great. Most of our time was spent with the nurse.
I didnt mind the hour wait or the nice nurse and receptionist. The young female doctor on the otherhand was completely unprofessional and pompous. As soon as she walked into the room, she talked to me with arrogance and treated me like I was unimportant. When I asked if the medication she was perscribing would counteract meds I take for my Crohns disease, she said maybe I should learn to explain things before I said them. So, I get insulted and she belittles me to my face! I told her she was cocky and unprofessional and she walks out of the room without getting another doctor, or subordinate, that I asked for. Thankfully I got my copay back for them not helping me. If you want to save time and harassment, dont bother going here. Look at all the reviews, we all cant be wrong. You have been warned....
Doctor shah ( young male doc) is greedy and bills patient for way more than he should AFTER you leave the office. I was self pay and paid $160 up front, that is what i was told the fee was to see doctor. No testing or anything was done additionally so i was free to leave. Fast forward a month later i get a BILL and a call from their unprofessional financial office clamining i owe additional money. The numbers don’t add up and the customer service reps at their billing office are rude and ignorant. Being in the medical field myself, i know self pay patients pay everything up front. As i did when i visited this outpatient facility due to last minute resources. They are frauds and i would not recommend to go see. I will escalate this issue to upper management to get this addressed because this is completely unacceptable!
YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO STROGER HOSPITAL IN CHICAGO!!! Too bad you cant give a negative star rating. I went here on Sunday, February the 11th with heavy breathing and about to pass out, basically in complete distress and was met with anger and hostility. I was made to feel that I didnt belong there (I guess looking at me they figured I was on Obama Care and they werent going to get paid or that I was from the ghetto and didnt have insurance of which both are incorrect). The intake person demanded my license and insurance card while the staff literally argued whether or not to put me in a room or take my registration then. After handing my license over the person said they couldnt find my name. It was on the effing license and my license wasnt unreadable or damaged. then a nurse finally took me in and asked how I got there (again, apparently only certain demographics are allowed there) in my condition. I said that i drove which immediately made her go into a tirade and lecture me saying that I was trying to kill people and kill myself. Then she asks me whats wrong and continually cuts me off when Im explaining things. The staff was rude as hell. Theyd be better off in the death care industry not the health care industry. Avoid at all cost if you can. They treat you like garbage and feel youre interrupting their day when you show up.
They provided awesome and timely care. They took the time to explain my condition and answer all the questions I had. The staff including the front desk, RN, and doctor were all friendly and empathetic.I highly recommend coming here for urgent situations and symptom-related issues you dont want to wait in the emergency room for.
Ugghhh. I would give zero stars if possible. My husband had some swelling in his foot. It was pretty significant and becoming very painful. He had not hurt it or anything so we knew it wasnt an injury. The doctor treating us was Sindhu Perumal, MD. She wanted to take an X-ray to rule out any injuries like a fracture or break. We agreed just to rule it out. We did a little research before our visit and we really wanted an ultrasound. That way we could rule out a blood clot or see if it was something else. My husband and I just knew it wasnt an injury. So the X-ray confirms there isnt an injury. Sindhus recommendations: to try acewrap or otc meds for symptoms, Rec. She verbally told us she was 100% positive that it was nothing. She kept saying theres nothing wrong and in her 15 years of clinicals shes never seen this and its just swelling. To go home and put ice on it. She wouldnt even give us a referral for one. She said there was no way for her to refer us somewhere with ultrasound capabilities. I would suggest that she start networking and getting things in place so that in the future she can refer people and truly start helping people. So we did our own research and found a Vein Clinic. The doctor there knew right away when they started the ultrasound. Thankfully we went on for the 2nd opinion.Heres what he has: a vein in his leg that the valves stopped working. He has to get a procedure done on his leg soon. Called Venous Abalation. The blood in the vein is pooling in his foot because the valves to move the blood back up stopped. So the procedure puts a catheter up his vein from his foot to his crotch. Then they put a laser all the way up and when they pull the laser out it will burn/close the vein. This way the blood from the heart will find other healthy veins to move it around. First they have to inject pockets of fluid around his vein so that the heat from the laser wont burn any soft tissue. The fluid will absorb the heat. Then they numb the foot and put the catheter into a hole they make in the foot. That sure is a lot more than just an Ace bandage and some ice! Sure its not life threatening and luckily it wasnt a blood clot. The only thing she got right. But had we not gone to a specialist (second opinion) it would have gotten worse and potentially sent us to the ER costing us more money. But it ticks me off that Sindhu, whos never seen it before in her minuscule 15 years wasnt doctor enough to say you know Ive personally never seen this before, but Im not a specialist in that area, lets refer you to someone whos more qualified in veins, legs, etc. That is what a REAL doctor would have done. Its pathetic that these places hire people like her. We have health insurance. Health insurance that always pays. Unfortunately, they just lost two patients whos insurance would have paid for all their visits. We will find a new urgent care and primary doctor. Regardless of how close this is to our house.Sindhu Perumal, please please please get off that high horse and come down to reality that you have not seen it all. Not yet at least and probably never will. Know that you dont have too either. Just be able to acknowledge that you dont specialize in all areas, but you can get people to the people that can help them. That is a true doctor. Helping people even if you have to send them to another doctor. Thats not a bad thing, its the right thing.
Think you dont like your auto mechanics, wait until you go here !! Worse than any auto mechanics !!! be aware !!!I had a twisted ankle incident, i went to immediate care center nearby. Where the doctor evaluated and asked for an ankle xray. During the xray session, the technologist apparently did a foot xray even though my understanding is that the doctor did not ask for it and not needed. and got charge for it, I nver complained any pain in the foot, It looks like plain fraud to me.moreover, when the bill came, the facility charged 7 times more than the average hospital charge in the area according to HealhBlueBook. the xray fair value is listed at 64$ and 58$ for ankle and foot based on the code used in the bill. These robbers claimed 351$ and 375$ (unnecessary charges) for these xrays. When asked the billing department, only to be threatened for collection agency.Whats more amazing is that, i went to an ankle specialist next day and was told the xray is NO GOOD, so needed to do the ankle xray again, and the bill for that xray from the hospital was only 70$ which is in line with fair value!!The facility is worse than auto mechanics !!! be aware !!! and medical ethics sworn these people did goes out the window.
I felt I was robbed here, unnecessary procedure just to get your money even when not needed, and exorbitantly charge for it.. I received a bill that is 7/8 times higher for a procedure than surrounding hospitals charges. Same xray procedure I had to do next day in another hospital because their xray was bad and billed again with a 1/10 of the cost that these facility claimed.. be aware..!!!

2022-09-13Absolutely awful, my child was seen here twice in 3 weeks. Dr said its a virus on both times of visits. My son was seen today by PCP and was diagnosed with sinus infection. Awful place. Doctor didnt even do an exam or check throat or ears and nose. Only tested for covid, flu. Never again will I be going to this place. They want you to keep coming to them.

2022-07-01Very unprofessional. Nurses are nasty. Older ladies who should retire or get retrained in proper patient care, respect and courtesy.I didnt come with a nasty attitude, and I believe I should have had the same respect. No nurse should push your face to the side to get your temperature from your ear.No nurse should talk to you like a child. And nurse practice er should also let you talk, instead of saying wait till I finish.

2022-07-26Honestly, horrible service . Stacy, Rose PA was rude telling me if I knew my daughter was Covid positive at home why did I come in for ? I work in the medical field and I never heard a provider of ever say that to a mom of a sick kid with history of bronchitis . She had wheezing so YES I KNOW SHE POSITIVE BUT U NEED TO CHECK HER THAT IS WHY WE ARE HERE . & I need you to confirm 100% that is accurate . That SHE IS POSITIVE . Second she has the nerve to try n force my 3 year old to wear the mask while having bad runny nose seriously? Without letting us even clean her nose super extra for no reason and she wasn’t even wearing her PPE IF SHE REALLY CARED THAT MUCH. About herself. Once again RUDE OTHER THEN THT EVRYONE GOODJOB

2022-03-07I came here for the simplest of things which was a pre-employment drug test. They seemed very unorganized, I waited 2 hours and heard staff complaining about Northwest Community Hospitals, which I found unprofessional. Then my employer called me days later asking if I had gone to do my drug test. Turns out they never received anything from NWCH, and I nearly lost the opportunity for a job I’ve been trying to get for months. Thankfully my new manager was understanding.

2021-10-30I Had a great experience today at this care facility. I thought I may have scratched my cornia. I was in severe pain, light sensitive and Each blink caused severe pain. I signed in and was brought in a room in less than 10 minutes. I saw Dr. Raja. He was extremely friendly after looking at the eye he placed a dye in it and found the abrasion. Gave me numbing drops to stop the pain. He prescribed an anti-biotic ointment and I should feel better in a few days. I was very pleased and was out of there in 1/2 hour.

2021-11-11Always a great experience. Registers are friendly, quick & efficient. I have been here 3 times in the past year for testing and they get me in and out quickly. The nurses are kind and able to draw my blood on the first time! Unsure why the bad reviews, maybe people are just cranky and need to complain.

2021-08-08Very good experience. We were seen by nurse Diane and dr. Raju. Both kind and welcoming. The doctor has a keen common sense and explains things very well. (Went in with my toddler who had a fever and symptoms related to the strap-thankfully it wasn’t it).
