My experience with NIU is probably different than what people are looking for, since I was just visiting for a workshop with their choral director. The performance space is absolutely beautiful, and lovely to sing in. The head of admissions came in and offered some NIU merchandise, and explained a bit about the admission process. It was overall a nice experience, and as a choir member I would love to sing in that space again.

A good school with some great programs. The downside is the crime rate near campus.
