The Staff is always pleasant. Everyone makes me feel welcomed. Dr. Couvelis is wonderful. He truly cares about my oral health and explains everything very thoroughly. I was so impressed that my granddaughter and son started going to him as well. My granddaughter was 4 and very nervous/frightened about going to the dentist. They were so good with her that she felt comfortable in no time. I would recommend Dr. Couvelis and his office to anyone.
I have never walked away from a dental practice so happy!! My cleaning was great and my veneers look amazing! Dr. Couvelis and his staff go above and beyond to make you comfortable and put you at ease!! I highly recommend North Pier Dental!!
Ive been going to North Pier Dental 15 years, had my teeth cleaned yesterday, and figured I owed Dr. Couvelis & Team a well deserved review.When I started with Dr. Couvelis, my dental condition was in a bit of disarray. Dr. took the time to discuss a plan on the best way to proceed based on my pain, both with my teeth and wallet. Ive been going to North Pier ever since because Dr. Couvelis is a Pro.Ive noticed through the years, he has little turnover with staff, and I havent hesitated to use any hygienist available (they are busy).Lastly, Dr. Couvelis is always investing in, and upgrading his dental technology to the most modern available. To me, that shows a dedication to his craft, and his patients.
Dr. Couvelis is the absolute best!! His work speaks for him. His passion for his work shows through his work performance and his caring attitude. He is always on schedule, fast and efficient. The office is very clean. I don’t mind traveling 30 miles to see him.
I went to NPDA for 18 years, and only stopped because I moved from Chicago! I came in with serious plaque issues from not having seen a dentist in years, and ever since have had great oral health. Dr. Couvelis and his team always use the latest techniques and technology, and are super friendly. I never once had to wait in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes, which to me is a testament to how well the place is run. They are an excellent resource in the River North area!
Dr. Couvelis was amazing. I walked in after seeing his sign for walk in appoinents. I had a serious dental issue and not only did he did it the same day, his staff was so inviting and friendly. Now me and my husband come for all of our cleanings and whitening. Thanks for making us look great for our event!!! Smile!!!
Ive been coming here for about 5 years now and I LOVE IT! From my Invisalign treatment to just general dentistry needs, its been just been a pleasant experience! Never had any issues with scheduling and I love the upgraded space too and the discounted parking is really convenient. Recently, I was chatting with my hygienist about an upcoming trip to Puerto Rico for a friends wedding and Dr. Couvelis popped in and offered me a free whitening to prepare for my trip. I was so ecstatic I almost cried!!! Really the staff is all just so sweet and accommodating and always has been. Dr. C is also really helpful when it comes to treatment, informative, professional. Ive recommended him to numerous friends and family. Definitely worth a consultation if youre looking for a new ortho!
I was somewhat disappointed in my visit with Dr. Couvelis. I came there specifically because I was having severe constant pain in one of my molars and he told me he couldnt find anything wrong and that it was probably because I was due for a cleaning (is that a thing?). He told me to call back in 2 days if it wasnt better. After talking to friends and googling, I realized I had the classic symptoms of a tooth abscess, which was confirmed 2 days later with an endodonist (and easily fixed with a root canal). I wish Dr. Couvelis had taken me more seriously and done some basic testing (i.e. check for cold sensitivity to evaluate for dead nerve/tooth) or referred me to an endodontist then and saved me 2 extra days of excruciating pain.Other than that, the dental hygienists and ancillary staff were great and attentive and my initial visit went smoothly.
I hate going to dentist but went in north pier dental for consultation and definitely will be back . Office is easily located w/ ample parking. Staff is friendly in a sanitary but welcoming environment .Most of all Dr. Couvelis w/ his gentle touch made me feel comfortable and confident that I’m in good hands at north pier dental
They cancelled my appointments because the hygenist quit. The only reason I was in town for the weekend was because of the dental appointment and I had already waited 2 months for this. Not only that they cancelled my subsequent appointment. I have to now redo my travel plans for the holidays because they didnt bother to inform me beforehand! The hygenist was amazing and thats the only reason I was there. The front staff is more incompetent than my barber because he calls me and reschedules or has a substitute ready beforehand. Thats the whole point of appointments.
Ive been going to North Pier Dental and Dr. Couvelis for about 10 years. The staff is very friendly & professional and Dr. Couvelis has always done a great job with me, explained what is happening, and provided a stress-free experience. I definitely recommend.
I love north pier dental. The staff are soo amazing , they are all friendly and they are always on time. Doctor couvelis did a great job with my teeth. Finally found the dentist office Im looking for! 5 star for sure!
Full disclosure: Bill is a life long friend. Dr Couvelis is a gifted problem solver, and he stays current with advances in his field. He diagnosed my problem as malocclusion. Which is dentist language for a bad bite. When I asked why this is the first time I am hearing this after seeing half a dozen other dentists, he explains that dentist school spends almost no time training dentist how to correct this problem. But, he says not to worry because he has taken advanced training with how to correct the problem. I live in Springfield, Missouri, but I travel to Chicago, Illinois for my dental work because I want a dentist who has spent half a lifetime searching for the best ways to provide dental care. Bravo my friend and thanks for your help.
Ive had a couple cleanings here and it is an excellent dental office. Besides the fact that its in a really cool building, they have the most up to date equipment and the staff is very professional. Ill be going here for as long as I live in chicago.

Front office staff was rather rude. Didnt make me feel cared for at all. Everything else was a higher priority. I assume it isnt like that all the time, (I certainly hope so) but this was my experience.
Actual payment and Cost Estimate have huge difference, do NOT believe their cost estimate. The front office staff is worst!! Never come back.

2022-02-22Dr. Couvelis is one of a kind! The dental facility is top notch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent service. They also made parking very convenient by validating my ticket in the office for $10. Overall I had a very pleasant visit and will be going back for future work.

2022-07-03Amazing dentist that goes above and beyond!!!I had been in for a cleaning and a check up before - Doctor Couvelis and his staff are top notch (professional, courteous, highly experienced). Moreover, on 4th of July weekend my wife experienced severe pain in one of her teeth and we contacted the office to set up an appointment. To our surprise the doctor (not his service) responded to the page, walked us through a diagnostic of the condition, and offered to see us at his office the next morning (Sunday). At our visit he was early to the appointment, processed my wife quickly as a new patient and proceeded to inspect the area. Fortunately, it turned out not to be a serious problem, but he took the time to explain all the possible causes and potential reasons for the pain, arriving at the exact root of the problem. Doctor Couvelis was extremely thorough, patient, and kind (he has an excellent disposition and sense of humor). Cannot say enough good things, the man is a class-act!

2021-11-30Had a great first time visit to North Pier Dental while meeting Dr. Couvelis and my all time favorite hygenist - Delia. I have been following Delia for 10+ years and must say she is one of the best trained (Loyola) hygenist in the Chicagoland area. Overall my first visit to this location was excellent. Just wish I had more time to walk the great North Pier neighborhood and grab lunch :)

2019-12-19Dr. Couvelis is a very good dentist. He has a gentle manner and takes time to educate his patients. They have gotten me in quickly when I needed it, and I have gotten a fantastic quality of care from them. I hope I can go to them for a long time, they are all wonderful there and I am grateful to have found such a good dental team.

2017-08-02I cant stop smiling! Dr. Couvelis is the first dentist who paused to ask me if anything hurt and it was the first time I had totally pain-free dentistry. Ive been a patient for over 20 years ever since. The staff is great, extremely friendly. The office is warm and comfortable. Dr. C always makes time for emergency visits. My veneers look amazing and so natural, I cant stop smiling. North Pier Dental is the best!!

2020-06-04Dr Couvelis is the best dentist. He is brilliant technically, patient, gentle and up for any challenge. He solved my unique and difficult problem with creativity and persistence. He really listened, so I received the desired and effective benefit. I trust Dr. Couvelis so much that I have been flying in to see him every three months for the past two years for cleaning, check-up and other vital dental procedures. I am happy with everything, including the spotless office space and great music. Good oral health is very important to my overall health and good sleep. I highly recommend Dr. Couvelis and his team!!

2019-02-08So amazing! I had extreme tooth pain and called at around 5pm. Her response: How soon can you be here? We will do everything we can to make sure you can sleep tonight.They didnt make me wait a single minute. I went in, had X-rays immediately, and was seen by the doctor right away. Every person in the office was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Best dental experience I have ever had. Highly recommended.

2020-06-03Ive been a patient of Dr. Couvelis for over 20 years and he never disappoints. I was very hesitant to come in for my 6 month cleaning after the COVID lockdown, and I have to say that I am so glad I did! Not only did he do a great job with my teeth, but they took every step to make sure the office was safe and sanitary. He is also always on time and is very reliable!

2017-07-29This place is AMAZING! My sister and I were in from Houston to see Hamilton and while walking to Navy Pier she fell and landed on her face! She thought she had broken her veneers. We happened to be just around the corner from North Pier Dental. We walked in and they saw her immediately. The entire staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The dentist, Dr. Couvelis, was awesome. He saw her immediately, took x-rays and assured her the teeth were okay but one was a bit loose and he recommended she see her dentist when she got back home. We were in and out in about 20 minutes and had contact with about six people while there and to a person they were friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this dental office more highly. If I lived in Chicago I would definitely be a patient.

2017-07-18The staff at north pier dental are the main reasons why I refuse to go anywhere else for dental care! I was avoiding the dentist for years and now I love it all thanks to north pier dental! The front desk staff, as well as the hygienists and the doctor himself offer great services, as well as outstanding customer service. I have such an awesome experience any time I come into their office. The layout of the office is beautiful, and the flat screens in each operatory makes the dental experience a great one. Thanks so much north pier! :)
