Harold S. is the best representative I have ever met in one of these stores. Extremely NICE, POLITE and SO GENTLE! Willing to help and explain everything in detail. I am not from here, so sometimes I get confused with the currency. He was so patient and caring to take the time to assist me. This is for real an exceptional angel that this store has. This is the best place for Shopping Branded goods at an economical rate in Chicago. Inhad an awesome time shopping here. My family, also enjoyed the shopping experience. They have clearance sales, discounted sales with ample sizes in cloths etc. Also, they have Golf gear here as well. Highly recommended place for golfers to buy cloths and stuff from. Also, they have Original branded glasees, jewelry, watches and many other items. So pls go and check out, while saving lots of money.
Our last experience here will definitely be the LAST. We ordered heels online. They never arrived and were cancelled and nobody at Nordstrom could tell us why. After an hour long conversation over the phone with supervisor, we had the shoes re-delievered. We were excited when they finally arrived but to our dismay, one shoe was larger than the other. We actually measured the shoes and they were, indeed, not the same exact size. When we went to the physical store to return them, it took almost 30 minutes for them to issue a refund and find it in the system. We were told by the sales lady that Nordstrom corporate were a bunch of liars. On that note, we took our refund but before we left, we noticed a staff member putting these defective shoes on the rack to be sold to some other unsuspecting customer. Beware! This place is nothing like NORDSTROM. It is more like Walmart with the worst customer service ever!
Classic styles in every department, many brand names to choose from. The store is clean, clothing is hung neatly on racks and thats hard to do in a busy store. If your look for a sale at the Rack youll find it but if your looking for a bargain be in the mood to look around hunter. It is still Nordstrom but they are there.
I will NEVER EVER shop here or any other Nordstrom Rack location or website again! My nightmare I had just to purchase a pair of heels is not even worth repeating but the Skokie location, where I rerurned the shoes at, knew that one shoe was larger in size than the other yet, they put the returned and defective shoes back on the rack to be sold to someone else who will have the same issue I did. That is, unless they have two different sized feet. The salesperson whontook my return was trash talking her fello2 employees, Nirdstrom superiors, by telling me that they all lie. I wonder why she would continue to qork for a bunch of liars, as she claims them to be. Just a bunch of drama and unsatisfactpry surroundimgs and I urge others to steer clear.
Came here with my disabled mother. The line was extremely long. Asked if they could put a watch on hold so I can come back without her later on before they close. They declined rudely. Worst customer service experience ever. I shop here often but this is the last time I will ever come here
I went to return an online order in this store and the cashier was extremely rude. I started explaining that I was returning an online purchase when he raised his hand at me and told me to “stop.” He processed my return and handed me my receipts very passive aggressively. Part of my online purchase was paid for with a gift card. When I asked about the gift card he told me I would have it mailed to me. 3 weeks later, no gift card has arrived so I called customer service and asked them about my return and when I can expect my gift card. Lina, the customer service rep, told me that the gift card returns are always done in store. She spoke to a manager for me and told me that I would receive a gift card via email in 72 hours hours. 2 weeks passed, still no gift card. I called again and I was transferred 3 times between customer service and the gift card dept, and no one could figure out how to help me. Eventually I just asked for a manager and got Robert to assist. He was really good, explained to me that he wasn’t sure why the cashier didn’t give me a gift card for the difference. He apologized and told me he would issue me a gift card via email ASAP. The next day I got the email with the gift card, however they did not return the full amount I was expected to receive, I still had the return receipt from the store to verify. They shorted by about $5 from what I should have been returned. At this point $5 is not enough for me to continue to battle with them over the phone, but I really cannot understand how something as simple as a gift card could take over a month to process on their end. Most customer service reps I spoke to were unapologetic about my situation and no one seemed to want to assist besides the manager. As a frequent Nordy’s shopper and card holder I am extremely disappointed with the service I received both in store and online. Keep in mind if you’re ever doing a return, ALWAYS double check to make sure they give you your money back correctly, otherwise you’re going to get some headaches dealing with them over the phone.
Chiaara don’t know if I spelled her name correctly. She gave amazing customer service. She was very polite when the store re-open after the pandemic. She help me fine clothes for my wife, my 8 year old son & 2 year old daughter. She had no issues going through the clothing with us showing us how certain items will match. Big thanks to her, I would give 2 stars for the management which I’ve always had a issue with & cashiers take their time ringing and communicating within other employees. You guys need to work on that big time.
I love this Nordstrom Rack; they have the best shoe selection and a pretty good plus size department. Shoes are really the big draw here--great brands, super wide range of sizes (womens 4-13), and good deals. Ive bought several pairs of shoes here and at other NR stores and have always been satisfied. In addition, these are all shoes that are actually in Nordstrom stores, so youre not getting a lesser-quality item made especially for discount sale. Plus size selection is a few racks, and its hit or miss. You can usually find good dresses, but the shirts tend to be either too basic or too trendy for me. The line for the check-out is always super long, day or night, but I have a secret for you: any employee can check you out. Go into the store, find someone with a neon green shirt on, and ask them to check you out. As long as you have a CC and are good with an emailed receipt, that person can check you out and have you on your way in minutes. Im here all the time and I never, ever wait in line. It seems like no one else knows about this!
I didnt like service at all. Some clothes dont have prices. We had to look for the price. Cashier took our time pretty -much. He doesnt know his duties. They were doing a process twice again -again wasting time. Didnt explain benefits of having credit card even when I asked . And didnt apologize even
They are supposed to have discounted merchandise here, but I dont really feel like the prices are fair. A lot of items I feel you can find for much better prices at other retailers.The store itself is fine for the most part. Its not dirty or messy and the line moves quickly enough. Last time we were there though they left a security tag on my wifes item, and we had to return to get it removed. Kind of frustrating to have to waste time with that.
I love this store from the bottom of my heart but honestly they need to do something about the cashier everytime Im about to purchaseI notice that all they do is talk to one another and when there are no customers they stand there and talk to one another and they just wait for a customer when they should be cleaning or doing something thank you for everything! YOU HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER!
Visited on Sunday... big mistake! Long, Long, LONG lines, even the express checkout, even though they were fully staffed. It was like Christmas in June. Shoppers were everywhere. Decided not to buy. Maybe come back during the week when not so busy. Great prices on excellent quality products.
Excellent store with a vast selection of premium branded items! The store is well managed and extraordinarily organized and clean. Items are well presented and marked and the staff is knowegable and courteous! Checkout is well staffed and the lines move quickly! Highly recommend this location!
The store was completely trashed. Shoes everywhere. The most disgusting thing that I saw was seeing a woman trying on shoes without any Sox and puts them back. After witnessing that I needed to walk away. With the virus going on people have absolutely NO common sense whatsoever.
Update with COVID-19 precaution in place:Visited Rack today and it is but difficult to keep 6 feet away while everyone is looking for shoes in the same isle. When queued up to pay, the line went till the kids shoes section... However it went fairly fast - 6 cashiers were open and was out of the store in about 15 mins with the long queue.But would recommend to avoid the known busy hour if possible to avoid wait lines.Also today we went to all three shoes area and all shoes areas are wonderfully kept.
Called to see what time their tailors were at the store. Was on hold for 26+ minutes before I finally got an answer by tweeting @nordstromrack twice. Might still be on hold if I had not hung up. Oh and FYI, no tailoring department at this location. How the mighty have fallen; I would expect better service at a Burlington Coat Factory..
We always stop here on our way back to Detroit from Chicago. We love the variety of items, especially in the shoe department because thats what they are known for. But we go through all the Departments while were there for good deals, because their selection is always changing. Check out can be a bit slow at times, but everyone is very helpful when you have questions or need the help.
I had to RETURN shoes here. I turned from counter and it looked intimidating... I dont like to make an event - OR PROJECT - of obtaining whatever. I do not like shopping. This place had a warehouse/outlet/Macys feel to it. Parking lot looks crowded but cars seem to constantly come/go no matter the time of day. Easy access from city, burbs via either I94 , Golf Rd, Skokie Blvd . This Rack is part of a little strip mall where you can get EVERYTHING done. My rating us for STORE alone.
This is a good place to shop for better quality with discounted prices. I was looking for a winter parka with a fur lined hood and I found exactly what I was looking for. I also found a hat and gloves to go with. It’s name brand at a discount.Hit”LIKE” if this was helpful!
When I went some of their machines weren’t working and either they couldn’t take cash or do refunds. Other than that the store was clean, staff was really friendly even when manager wasn’t around. If it’s not too busy they don’t mind walking you through the entire store until you find exactly what you’re looking for!
This was my first visit and I found this store to be clean and the deals are wonderful. The line was long but the wait was very short besides who wouldnt want to wait a few minutes for these terrific deals? I cant wait to see the treasures I will find during Black Friday.Adrian B.Indiana
Impressive selection of mens shoes - picked up a pair of Lacoste and Cole Haans for less than a hundo total - which you can take from the rack without dealing with a sales rep. Its busy here at 6pm on a Thursday - checkout line was 10 deep but moved quickly with 4 registers open.

2022-06-25Got a pair of sandals for a great price! I was so VERY PLEASED with the selection of size 11 womens shoes! I have huge feet and have a hard time finding any selection in my size. They have a huge selection in EVERY size ! My daughter got some great tennis shoes also 👌

2022-05-29Very disappointing. Merchandise crammed and jammed so tightly on the racks. The womens area is not layed out well.. Too many racks of the same kinds of items, sizes, some on sale, some by designer but repeated in a haphazard way. Not a good shopping experience.

2022-03-06I use to come here alot and always would find something. Recently when i have been coming in, i really do not find much. I even take the time to look. Now i prefer to online shop instead of coming into the store. Not the same as it use to be. But still an okayish store.

2021-12-24Nordstrom Rack in Northbrook surprising has quite a few high-end designer hand bags- Gucci, Valentino, Prada, Tory Burch, Kurt Geiger. The trick is to check weekly for new stock. Super friendly staff too!

2018-10-18Its a small location but I was able to find a few great high end items. I think that a part of it is just luck. Its also the first rack location that Ive seen shopping carts with racks for you to hang your clothes on.
