Loved everything! The acai immunity bowl was delicious, the kid-friendly atmosphere was helpful and inviting, and the owner, manager, and staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell the community was excited about this place to open--it is going to be a favorite spot in town!
Had a great experience getting an awesome smoothy in the berry banana burst. Interesting how folks complain about free stuff. I am happy to wait a few extra minutes for something fresh and custom made. McDonald’s is down the street if I’m in a hurry. Either way, this place kicks the pants off of Jamba Juice and I would definitely recommend.
First time at Nektar and it blew my expectations away! Such a cool little vibe, friendly owners & workers, and the smoothie I got was great! Highly recommend the Cold Brew, so smooth and not overpowering coffee taste! Will for sure be a regular at this spot. Great addition to Barrington!
Over priced, I ordered 2 small smoothies and paid 18$. Waited almost 20 minutes, finally got the smoothies and as soon I got in my car I realized they had the consistency of a milk shake. Its a shame such a new place like this is poorly managed.
Fresh, tasty, and great staff. Love that this juice bar came to the Chicagoland area. I loved juicing down at any Nekter juice bar in AZ. The quality of their drinks never disappoint.
Outstanding new addition to the Barrington food scene. I have been in to Nekter on several occasions, and no matter who I have been with at the time (or solo) we have always had amazing service and food. I have only tried a few of the menu items as I have found a few favorites very early, but from friends and family I have yet to hear anything other than this item is amazing. If you have not been in to see the local owners and staff who are making Nektar such a great addition to downtown Barrington, I suggest you download their app and place an order asap....! You will be happy you did, and rewarded with a healthy and delicious treat.
I wish I couldve had a better experience, this is my first time here. I came in to order a regular Smoothie with the Free regular Smoothie redemption code from signing up with their app today. This was a timed code that needed to be used within a certain amount of minutes. I placed my order for a regular Smoothie, showed the cashier my redemption code, scanned it and the machine would read member not found. She told me to make a payment for the drink. I swiped my card and paid. The cashier mentioned that I could add the barcode from my receipt to the app, but that didnt make sense if I wanted to redeem my code for the free regular smoothie. I tried to scan the barcode of my receipt to see if it would redeem my drink for free. Didnt work. After they brought out my drink(20 minutes later), the manager came over after I asked for him and I explained to him the situation. He claimed that the free smoothie redemption code doesnt work until 24-48 hours after signing up and that I ordered a 24oz(i clearly showed the code to the cashier for the free drink which said 16 oz) she put in a 24oz drink. Nowhere on the free redemption terms on that app did it say to wait 24-48hrs to use said code. Now that it was showing already expired after a certain amount of time, I asked him if the barcode is going to work next time if its showing as expired now. He didnt have an answer. He didnt help resolve this situation and this is my last visit there.
Love the aesthetic. Love the smoothies! Perfect addition to the downtown - something healthy and addictive!
Quality isnt worth the price. Also the prices at this store are insane. Not sure why a bowl from Nekter in Illinois is more expensive than the Santa Monica store on the beach or why its twice as expensive as a different brand in Austin, TX.
Are you in the area or are you going to recommend a natural juice that you can enjoy, just have a little patience
I adore this place & I’m so glad they brought nektar to the Midwest! Their bowls are super yummy & filling, it’s just unfortunate that it takes like 20 minutes, but it seems like they still have some kinks to straighten out. Will be downloading the app to order ahead so hopefully that helps in the future!
Friendly staff and delicious Acai banana bowl. It was my first time at Nekter juice bar, but I will be a returning customer for sure!
Placed an order on the app, got there and was told they were wrapping it up. Came back to the window 10 minutes later and other people were helped but mine was not ready and they asked me what I wanted on top. Long wait. And overall the Acai bowl doesn’t have much flavor, very watered down tasting compared to other places.
So delicious and refreshing and the cashier was kind and generous enough to give us a pitaya passion drink on the house. Bless him.
I ordered a smoothie and it took 40 minutes to make and the smoothie was literally the consistency of water it tasted like water with food coloring and chemicals and calories it was not good at all but I know they just opened up so i’ll cut them slack and give them 2 stars instead of 1
Extremely long wait times and staff is very disorganized. They just opened so it makes sense but still need to get it together. Waited 30 min for a smoothie and juice. Smoothies and juices are okay
Super friendly owners! Went on opening day and it was BUSY! The owner was up at cash and she was super calm and collected and connected with every customer despite the chaos! Delicious taste!
Its ok. Uses too much frozen fruit that I like I my acai bowls and at the price they give them Id expect alittle more fruit or acai at least
Been here a few times while I agree it isnt the cheapest or fastest drink I found it to be worth the price and wait. I have no complaints and will be back again and agian.

2022-06-20Great experience very cool place inside love the wood tic-tac-toe game pieces on the tables among other small wood sculpture’s. Had the Toxin Flush juice very yummy 😋 all their juices so healthy drinks can’t wait to come back and try one of their bowls. Most definitely a place to stop and pick up a healthy drink 👍🥰

2022-04-10We had a great experience getting lunch at Nekter. I say lunch because, while perhaps more known for smoothies, the bowls at Nekter are delicious and pretty filling. Mine was a blend of fruit, peanut butter, and other ingredients, topped with granola and fruit.There are a few places to sit, but you shouldnt rely on this during peak times (after school gets out, or nice weather on weekends). Lots of people order ahead and/or take it to go. It takes probably about 10 minutes for your order if theyre busy, so be ready for that. Recommended for a snack or even a light meal.

2022-03-24Stopped in on a Monday afternoon and ordered two smoothies. Was excited to give them a try. Took almost 30 minutes which to me is VERY long wait for a smoothie. One smoothie was really thick and the other was the complete opposite, super watery. So consistency is really off. Clearly they have a lot of things to work out still and some more training to do. Based on other reviews, looks like other customers have had very similar experience. Pretty expensive and not worth the super long wait for what you get.

2022-03-26Ive been there twice and both times my bowls have been amazing! I ordered ahead and when I came to pick up my bowl it was ready to go! So much flavor and kept me full all day long. Cant wait to try them again. Great job and we wish you all the best success!

2022-03-24Absolutely RECOMMEND 12/10 experience ! It was my first time trying Nektar Juice Bar Barrington this week, customer service was amazing everyone was so friendly with a smile on each face! I cannot remember who helped me pick out the perfect drink, however she was so friendly! I ended up trying the Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Coconut Water! Highly recommend! Loren is so friendly she has created such a beautiful space for everyone to simply feel comfortable and relax! I will definitely be returning with friends and family !

2022-03-25I ordered a dragon fruit bowl and was so surprised at how big the bowl was. The fruit was so fresh and arranged really nice on top. I loved the granola and the coconut flakes! Definitely big enough for a meal and sooooo yummy! I highly recommend checking Nekter out!

2022-03-19Smoothies and bowls are amazing! I keep craving them and coming back for more. The owner is extremely nice and it is super kid friendly. My kids love playing the ticTacToe games, puzzles, and coloring. This has become our new favorite spot.

2022-04-15Great service, and took a little while because they were busy but the smoothie and açaí bowl tasted great! Also, their rewards program is easy to use and easy to get points. The store has good vibes and games/activities like tic-tac-toe, connect 4, and more. The cashier was nice and I 110% recommend you try this place out.
