I recently purchased a used Toyota Sienna from Mungenast Toyota in Alton. When buying a used vehicle, you sometimes expect that not everything will be perfect. Well, such was the case when we purchased our van. It looked great but after we got at home we realized that there were some issues that needed to be fixed. I was a little nervous that we were going to get the run around like you do at many dealerships.I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Kevin, the service manager was great. He addressed all of our issues and agreed that they needed to be fixed and, I could tell, was very concerned. He even went above and beyond finding a few things that needed to be fixed that I didnt even know about and would have been difficult to catch on an inspection and went ahead repaired those things as well.. These are the kind of people that you want to deal with when buying a car. I have complete confidence in Mungenast Toyota of Alton. Their service department is top notch and Kevin the Service manager treats you like you would want to be treated. So as not to give all the glory to Kevin 😉 I would also like to give a shout out to Chris, their Master Service Tech for finding The ghost in the machine. After searching for several hours he finally figured out what was causing that really annoying vibration sound every time we drove the car. Suffice it to say these are good people and they do the right thing. Thank you all very much!
Like everyone else, I dread going to the dealership for repairs fearing the high cost. However, there’s no escaping there are some repairs you only trust to the skilled automotive technicians found at the dealership.I needed a timing belt and water pump on my son’s recently purchased Lexus RX 330. Mike is service was very helpful and professional. When I arrived, he wrote the repair up quickly and directed me to the rental counter. Julie (Rental Manager) provided me with an excellent rental for the day and had a wonderful disposition for that early in the morning. While at work Mike gave me a call and recommended additional service I might consider. It was an excellent recommendation.When I returned to pick-up my car, I was pleasantly surprised with more than reasonable repair (value) cost. I would strongly recommend that anyone needing the same repair go to the Alton Mungenast Toyota, and speak with Mike.
My Prius was called in for a recall where this was the closest dealer to me. Every step of the process was met with friendly helpful people. Ive been very happy with my experience with the service station here. I even walked the sales floor and talked with a sales person who was friendly and helpful even though he knew I wasnt looking to buy. The cherry on the top was the car wash they gave my car. Im doing a little happy dance because that was on my list of things to do today.
Awesome dealership to work with and the main Salesman I worked with (Jason Sherrill) was a huge help with everything. Easy to talk to, truthful and shared his professional opinions on all the options. Furthermore, I traveled 7 hours to purchase my truck through them, if that doesnt hint enough to how happy and trustworthy this Toyota Team made me feel, I dont know what would! Thanks again for everything.
When I came to pick up my vehicle, the advisor Brian’s customer service was subpar at best. He really made me feel like I was bothering him simply because I was asking questions about the work performed and the recall. But isn’t that what he’s there for? I spent over $800 to have my brakes done during this visit and just wanted to make sure everything else on my vehicle was inspected since they had not serviced my vehicle since last year due to COVID. I’ve driven over 30 minutes to this dealership (I reside in St. Louis) for the last 7 years so I could have Mungenast Toyota service my Corolla, never again. I couldn’t even get a decent car wash and vacuum. I will not give my money to any business where it does not feel appreciated. All future services will be performed by Bommarito Toyota. This dealership is only 10 minutes from my condo so hopefully their customer service is better than Brian’s was. On the upside, the young lady who closed out my service order was very pleasant.
We worked with Erica, Jason and Matt. They were all fantastic! We had excellent communication about the status of our purchase, financing and the arrival of our RAV 4! They worked with us to schedule our pick-up time late in the day. From start to finish, we turned in our trade-in vehicle, completed paperwork, had protection placed on the windshield and interior, got training about the RAV 4 features, and they even gave us t-shirts, all in 1 hour! Somehow we managed to leave important items in our trade-in. Jason went out of his way to make sure we could access our old vehicle early the next morning. Matt said buying a vehicle should be fun, and Mungenast delivered!
My son got a car from Alton Toyota and we had the pleasure of working with Amber Kemna and she was on it! Had our stuff ready to go before we even got there! Toyota has a great employee and I hope they know what a great hard working person she is ! I really hope Toyota recognizes the help she gave us!! Thank you so much Amber!
Amazing! Kevin was awesome as well as everyone who works there!They got my wife in a brand new car that she loves at the payment she wanted.They put me a used truck at a better rate and lower payment than I had originally. Ive been having my camry hybrid serviced here since 2016 and Im always impressed with the service. The work requested is always done well. On most services, prices are competitive and they offer frequent coupons. Staff are friendly and I have been offered loaner vehicles if the work is expected to take a long time. Everyone is respectful and the waiting area is clean and big enough to allow for social distancing.In summary, Im a satisfied customer and will continue to use and recommend the service department at Mungenast Toyota.
I took my car for a 30K mile service. We just moved to Alton from Texas. My wife and I were somehow disappointed about the quality of client service here in general. We were missing how wonderful is the client service in Texas. But, after this first experience, I can just say that it exceeded my expectations. I dont miss Texas anymore for car service! Joshua was exceptionally professional and very attentive. He timely explained all the process and the services they were about to perform. I didnt expected them to wash the car! Highly recommended!
What a wonderful experience I had at this dealership. Salesman, Scott Turner, was amazing, helpful and super friendly...he also had a sense of humor to help my first new car buying experience a little less anxious and uncomfortable. Kevin Schultz in financing was also terrific. I couldnt have asked for any better experience. Just had the 25k service done on my 2021 camry xse hybrid. As soon as o get out of my car in the service area I was greeted and I asked him to make sure they put air in my tires because I was tired of the tire light being on. He said they set them at 35 psi. Next morning I get in my carand the light is on. There is no way the tires would drop 8 psi over night. Makes me think that they had never put air in them in all 5 services. The tires dont look like they were rotated either. Hard to check the brake pad wear when the wheel is never removed. Not sure if they changed the oil or not because they didnt put a new sticker on the windshield to show my next service. They vacuumed the drivers side but not the passenger side. On a previous serv6, the guy scratched my rear drivers door pretty bad with the something that I had to bring it back the next day to be fixed. It was fixed by there rop guy and now it still has a small scratch and look like the paint was poured on because the fix looks like Maaco did it. I would not take my car there and pay for a service just from the service I have received from my previous visits.
Weve never left this place happy. My husband and I have looked here twice for cars, and always leave because of price or the sales person. We ended up buying Toyotas from a different dealership, but thought we would try having our cars serviced here. Our service department experience was not much better. A couple of times we thought things were a little expensive or unnecessary during the services. I fully understand having you car serviced at a dealership is more expensive, but when they handed me the bill for my last oil change and tire rotation, I was shocked. They quickly removed $40+ from the bill and offered me a rewards membership, which I was thankful for. Though the location is convenient for us, Ill be going somewhere else from now on.And if you are looking for a place to buy a car/have it serviced during a pandemic, and appreciate the employees wearing masks while working/speaking with you...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Not one person I encountered was wearing a mask.
I loved everything about my experience buying my car here, and the employees are always very nice, friendly, and professional. The service center is always a great experience, and I will always bring my vehicle here for service. However, the employees here do not take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously at all, and when we were last there for a service, not a single employee was wearing a mask.
I purchased my first Toyota yesterday. It was a great experience. Scott was the salesperson that helped me. He was very helpful. He explained everything on the car and showed me how to work all the fancy things on my new car. I felt like I got a really good deal on a beautiful, new car.
My husband is in the process of getting a RAV4 and we were totally taken care of! The staff was always courteous, friendly and helpful. All our questions were answered and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We would totally recommend them if you need a new car!!
Never thought I would write a review on a car dealership of all places but I feel its my civic duty to talk about my experience with Mungenast. This was my third vehicle purchase and second from Kevin Harner. I did a lot of research up front and was prepared with everything including the vehicle I wanted. Out of all the sales people Ive transacted with in life, Kevin has by far been the easiest person to work with. He did an excellent job with my last purchase and this purchase without being pushy at all. I gave him exactly what I felt was fair and he exceeded my expectations from the trade in experience all the way to delivery. Speaking of trades, be up front about your vehicle and tell them what youre looking for. I was pleasantly surprised they were willing to pay off my existing vehicle, and give an allowance that not only exceeded every other estimate I received but provided additional credit beyond what I owed. Kevin the finance manager (not to be confused with Kevin the salesman) worked to find financing through Toyota on a certified used vehicle that beat every bank and online only dealer. Kevin the finance manager was also great and did not push the extra warranties when I respectfully declined.The whole ordeal took about two hours start to finish not including the extended test drive they gave me. Usually purchasing a vehicle is a half or full day affair. Kevin and Kevin couldnt have made the process any easier than it was. Go see Kevin Harner if youre thinking about a vehicle from Mungenast! Youll be happy you did.
This is not the stereotypical dealership. I take my car to them for maintenance because I trust that they are honest about the work that needs to be done on my Toyota, they dont try to upsell me things I dont need, and they do good work. With that said, I will be finding somewhere else to take my car for the foreseeable future due to their lax COVID-19 precautions. They are not requiring masks in the waiting area and half of their customers were unmasked, so I had to sit outside on the concrete to wait for my car. The cashier--the one person that I had no choice but to directly interact with--was also not wearing a mask. The mechanics were wearing masks.
I am very late posting this review but I have never forgotten my wonderful service experience about one year ago. I was moving from Texas to Wisconsin over Easter in 2017. I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra and was towing a small camper. The truck started making a horrible noise when I stopped for gas in St. Louis. I stopped at the first rest area north of St. Louis. There were some older guys looking under the hood of a truck next to me. I asked them if they would look at the passenger side rear wheel. It had grease coming out of the wheel. They said it needed to be fixed before I could go any further. I called around to see if I could find anyone to fix it. I finally called the dealers in Alton. This dealership was open, the other was closing in 10 min. I drove right over and they got me in right away. They did not have one of the parts but said they could get it first thing Monday morning. They helped me get my trailer safely next to the service area, provided me with electricity and a loaner car. They were so very nice and helpful. The service manager even gave me his card with his home number to call on Easter weekend if I needed anything. The service coordinator did the same. I had a wonderful weekend in Alton exploring its small town hospitality and friendliness. I would HIGHLY recommend this service center to anyone. Everyone is family and makes you feel a part of the great Toyota family.WONDERFUL people and GREAT service.
Over the last 20 years, Ive purchased 5 vehicles (three of them brand new) from this dealership. I used to get great work on my vehicles from their service department. Over the last three visits to have maintenance on my Highlander, the quality of work has gotten extremely sloppy. Im currently sitting at a different Toyota dealership having the second issue fixed that I originally took to Alton to have fixed. Theyve just lost an incredibly loyal customer. I’ve had no reason to cross the river for the last 5 years other than to do business with them. At least theyve saved me from that commute.
I purchased a new Tundra at a dealership in St Louis County last year, because they had what I was looking for at the time. Now I needed service on it, and the warranty was up. I ended up bringing it back to Alton Toyota for service, because.... 1)their pricing for service and parts is better, and 2) their people are very easy to deal with, very kind, and very knowledgeable. They are a step above the rest. Seriously. Thank you Alton Toyota!!!!!
Everytime I need services on my car I go to Mungenast Alton Toyota. Josh always exceeds my expectations and he always lets me know when my car is ready to be picked up. They don’t take too long and they do an amazing job. My car never has any problems when I go to them. Highly recommend. Thanks josh!
Bought a brand new Highlander there and it was a great experience. Happy with my purchase. The service team is also very friendly and its easy to book an appointment. You come in, lounge for a bit, and then your car is ready to go. Ive never had to wait longer than 45 mins to get in and out.
Auto Service.Called in and get an oil change within a few days (on a Saturday). When I got there they have coffee and a few little snacks. Got my tires rotated as well reasonably priced. I really like Chris K.. as my main man. They washed my car and I was out before the hour was up. I recommend this place.
I had a great experience with the team at Alton Toyota recently when purchasing my certififed pre-owned C-HR. I worked with Jared in Sales who was patient and accomodating with all of my questions and requests, with Matthew in the Finance dept. who made my experience with the transaction itself very smooth and efficient, and then Joshua in Service who worked to get me in at the end of the day when I was running late for my appt. Even Dave in Sales filled in for Jared when he was out and was helpful with my post-sales questions.I love my C-HR so far, and would recommend to anyone in the StL area looking for a new or used Toyota to check out Mungenast.

He was prompt in returning phone calls, knowledgeable when answering questions, and quick to find out and provide information requested. The GM and finance staff were amazing too. It’s a great place to do business!!! This is our third vehicle purchased from them and will purchase from them again in the future!
My service was very good. Mike was very helpful. I do like the other guy Brian he was always very helpful in the beginning he was the one taking care of my service upon checking in he was awesome also. I do miss not having him service me. He was never pushy just told me what needed to be done and left the decision to me without any high pressure rebuttals.
Service department has been great so far and leaves me with peace of mind. I wasn’t too crazy about the experience of buying my car here just because of the pressure/pushiness I felt from the sales person. Also the sales guy that sold the car to me acts like he doesn’t know me when I do come in to get my car service done. Other than that good service department and would recommend!
Would recommend Amber when going. Super sweet and will do everything in her power to make sure you are a happy customer. However, make sure you read EVERYTHING you are signing because Kevin (the finance manager) doesn’t tell you anything. There’s always a few bad apples but overall a good place.
Never thought I would have to write a review about the service department. My experience today was very disappointing to the fact I will not return for further service. Went in for a simple oil change, was told I needed my brake system flushed, was quoted one price, at check out was charged two hundred more then what was quoted!! Question the price change was told she will go talk to someone then came back with a different amount. Never again!!!!!
Was in looking at Tacoma’s didn’t have one I liked, said they had more on the way. And would be first person called once they arrived. Never have been contacted and one that was on the way has sold already and the other has been there a couple weeks. They offer a bs trade value and not trust worthy. Won’t do any business with this dealer.
When I arrived to the dealership I was greeted by Alex, he was very friendly and helpful, he listen to what I was looking in a car, when the vehicle I was interested in was no longer available, he was very attentive to find a car in my price range. We discussed the purchase price and I’ve never heard a sales person say this to me, “ take time to think it over and let me know if this will work for you”, no pushy sales he just want my purchase to be what I wanted. I did find a car and all the salesperson was very sweet they “ congratulated us on our new vehicle “, I will recommend Alton Toyota to all my friends and family. They are truly an honest and understanding, no pressure dealership. A billion stars.
I just have to say we purchased two vehicles from the Alton location and couldnt have been happier with how we were treated.. I have always used Brian in the service center to work on other vehicles (we have seven kids so a lot of vehicles and a lot of repairs) and decided to take the Toyota plunge and Im still happy we did. When I decided on the car I wanted, Brian pointed me in the right direction, helped with our trade, etc.. Totally worth five stars!!
Had always taken my Camry to small repair shop for oil change and service. I was referred to dealership by a friend who had a positive experience here.From the beginning, I felt very comfortable. Needed repairs were described in detail. Service team kept me updated on progress and total bill was right at estimate (at a cost similar to what i would have expected at shop I usually go to). Customer waiting area was clean, everything looked new and i was able to get some work done using their wireless internet. Keep up the good work and I will be sure to be back.

I contacted this dealership online regarding a used car. They promptly answered all of my questions, and sent over additional photos when requested. I didnt feel pressured like you typically get from other vehicle sales people. I am from out of town and traveled 6 hours to get the vehicle, and they made sure it had a full tank and that any of the dings in the windshield were treated before sending me on my way with my dream vehicle. AJ was attentive and patient with me and had everything ready for me when I arrived. Thank you Mungenast Alton Toyota, and specifically AJ C, and Kevin S for your excellent customer service!

Check engine light came on and after reading the code at home they confirmed the issue. But with their due diligence the noticed my rack and pinion leaking. Thank God for the sales team letting me know about the added warranty. They really took care of me. Even with a great loaner....

No question I asked wasnt answered without a thorough explanation, Evan was a great salesman, Matt in financing explained everything and was very accomodating to my 7 year old daughter, and Josh Kassler was the reason I took the drive and came in in the first place! My wife and I were on our way back to Kansas city from Cincinnati when our camary had two tires blow out they were the only Toyota dealer in the area that would take the time to get us back on the road the same day they were amazing cant say enough for what Mike the service manager did for us. The personnel at Alton Toyota are first rate and the nicest people you ever want to know. I purchased my Rav 4 in record time and am thrilled with it. No problems. I purchased as extras, side molding, rain shields for my windows and front windshield sun tinting. 10 days later I have an appointment at 8:30 a.m. to have the extras taken care of. They called two days before to make the appointment. Ryan says, lets make the appointment for 8:30 so we can put on the molding and the window caps and be done for the etching man when he comes in at 9 and you can be out of here in an hour. Fantastic! I must say, it is so difficult to write a negative review when the people are sooo nice. Im there at 8:15 and take my seat in the waiting area. At 10:15 out comes Ryan to tell me that my parts never came in. Hello, whats been going on for the last hour and a half???? Now he tells me the etching man just arrived and they will do my windshield. 20 minutes later I leave. Yes the windshield is done but heck, Ive now been there for 2 hours and I still have to go back and do this again. Make sure when you make an appointment for parts installation, they tell you the parts are there please.
Was there getting some warranry work done have been thinking about trading up from my 4 cylinder tacoma 2 a 6 cylinder was working with saleman named jared kinzel he gave me a price difference for trade asked if there was any chance of coming down on price he said 2 make an offer which i did he immediately stood up and opened the door for me 2 leave he was very rude acted like i had insulted him and wwalked away wont be buying from him not even sure if i would buy from that deale
Went to Mungenast Toyota today to look at a replacing my 2005 Corolla.Our sales rep, Gordon Carver, has been extremely helpful with making this a quick and easy process for my family. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, I was nervous about my first experience leasing a car by myself. There was nothing to fear. Those who work at Mungenast who I encountered are not smoth and slick but ordinary, honest people doing an above-board job. I would recommend them to anybody, anywhere at anytime. Plus, I love my new car!! :)
We showed up to Mungenast Toyata in Alton close to closing time, but Evan Kelly took time for us and our questions. When we called back a few days later, he gave us more clear, uncomplicated answers. It felt like the way car buying should be. Even though we did not go with a Toyota this time, we will consider buying from Mungenast Toyota next time.
They are absolutely wonderful. My tire blew out while driving from St. Louis to Chicago and they had me come in and changed my bad tire and one additional one after they located a problem. They somehow fit me in when they had a full day and were so pleasant to deal with!
Dealt with Alex and he was awesome. I had called them to see if they could get me a certain 4runner for a certain price and they could. They drove to get it for me. I walked in, test drove it, talked with Alex and finished the deal. In and out in an hour and a half. 4runner was exactly how they said it was. I would go back again if I needed another Toyota.
Today I took my vehicle to this location for its 25K toyota care servicing which includes a tire rotation, fluids, tire pressure correction etc. I drove my vehicle home this evening and inspected in my driveway. There was a large tire bubble in the sidewall of my right rear tire about 3/4 the size of my fist. Certainly this could not have happened in my 10 mile drive home from the dealership. According to the service report, my tires, brake pads, pressures were all rated green. I am not implying that the tire issue was caused by the dealership because I myself do not think that was the case. I probably had been driving on the damaged tire for some time. I am disturbed someone who supposedly rotated the tires and changed the tire pressure was unable to notice the large bulge in the sidewall in the tire and still marked it off as green in the report. I did call the dealership and was unable to connect with the person who serviced my vehicle because they had left for the day. I dont think I will return to this location for future service.
I purchased a lightly used Veloster, which was a car I was looking for in particular. The sales manager negotiated nicely with me, I feel like I got a good deal. I came in with a preapproved loan and the staff did an excellent job of quickly wrapping up the paperwork.
Alex Abramson was an outstanding help with my search and visit! Being a chevy guy, I was super nervous about visiting, but Alex and the whole Mungenast team were great to work with! From testing drive, service history and sealing the deal, I couldnt have asked for a better choice! When confronting Alex about a few body issues on the tundra, he didnt hesitate a bit sending it the body shop and explaining the process. My 2015 looked brand new when I arrived to pick it up! I was so stunned by the detail and finish. I couldnt be happier with my purchase on the used tundra. I look forward to working with such an amazing team!
From the minute we walked on the lot the sales man (Alex I believe) was awesome. He worked with us and even made me feel like if it was out of my price range he would find something similar to get me what I wanted. Thankfully they had a sienna that I wanted and he even played devil advocate for us as we tried to decide between AWD and FWD. We had to wait (per their standards a long time) for the finance guy, but honestly we were there on a Saturday I expected to wait it really wasnt terrible! Even so he proceeded to appoligize about a million times and even offered us a tank of gas on him when we came back for our first oil change! He was super quick, we were in and out in no time once we got into the office. I had to go back and drop off the car on Monday to get the auto protection stuff on the seats and outside. Again, even their service department and car rental (courtesy car) was easy and great!...... I never really thought to write a review because I feel this is how any service should be ran!.... BUT just today my mom was dealing with another (none toyota) dealership and I am appalled at the service she was not given!!!! I would recommend Mungenast to anyone in the market for a new car! I would consider staying loyal to the toyota family strickley to stay with this dealership (not that I have anything at all anything against toyota, but this is our first)!
When the salesman is more interested to get a beer than staying around to complete a sales you lose out on two purchases. Drove over an hour to lease a highlander and a Tacamo wanted us to come all the way back the next day. Mungenast closes now at 6 pm on Wednesday , good news is Newbold in OFallon IL. Stays open til 8 pm and they stayed late to make us happy and lease 2 trucks. Finally, not one person was wearing a mask.
Terrible customer service from Mungenast. When we went to buy our Prius C, had an interesting experience at the dealership itself...and then, when we found issues a couple of weeks later, the dealership was INCREDIBLY unhelpful and unresponsive. The salesperson that we were working with the whole time wasnt even there when we cane for our appointment to look at the car, and the person filling in was clearly unaware of our situation. He sat us down to do the paperwork before we had even seen or test-drove the car, and then we were told that the price was no longer negotiable because the salesperson we originally were talking to was not there, and the sales manager had already gone home. This issue, in itself, isnt enough to warrant a one-star review, but the actual problems with the car certainly are.A couple of issues with our car:*We were not told that it came with only 1 key fob until AFTER we signed all of the paperwork. It costs upwards of $300 to get a 2nd key programmed by the dealership.*Several components (plugs of some sort) were improperly installed (upside down), leading to heavy, heavy flooding in the interior of the car. After emailing, leaving voicemails, and sending pictures, this issue has STILL not been resolved. Im talking an INCH of standing water on our carpets, and we now fear that there is mold underneath because of the improperly installed plugs. To fix this, the carpet needs to be ripped out, the plugs reinstalled, and the carpets replaced. An expensive fix, in other words.*The front door on the drivers side doesnt lock. AT ALL. Mungenast is happy to send us monthly reminders to schedule this $555.49 fix--something that we absolutely should have been informed about before we purchased the car. BUT, like I mentioned, we were rushed through the selling process and this forced us to not be able to properly look at the car.This is a TOYOTA car, from a TOYOTA dealership. There is no excuse for rushing us through a sale, with a non-negotiable price, only to be told/find out of these errors afterwards. Furthermore, after not receiving ANY communication in response to our repeated voicemails and emails, we will not be going back to or recommending Mungenast anytime soon.UPDATE: Mungenast reached out to us to offer repairs and a free of charge rental. Great! However, the people we dealt with grew increasingly rude as we tried to explain our water problem, and worst of all...they SCRATCHED OUR CAR WHILE MAKING THE REPAIRS! Totally unprofessional and ridiculous! I appreciate the effort made to try to make things right...but it was half-hearted at best, and now we are left with a ding-ed up drivers door and inexplicable pink streaks on the hood.
I had a free oil change and tire rotation scheduled as part of my warranty. Mike Young couldnt find it and treated me like I was trying to pull a scam. When he finally found it he was unapologetic and frustrated at me for being right. I opted to take my business elsewhere and will not be back.
This is the greatest dealership I have ever had the pleasure of buying a car from. My wife was looking for a car to replace her 2015 VW Passat TDI SEL that is involved in the diesel buyback. We got a 2017 Toyota Avalon and could not be happier. Kevin our salesman was very nice and Trudy the Business manager is the best. I will defiantly be back to buy vehicles in the future
I bought a used car in 2017. Since then have had to repair sunroof twice and rebuild the engine. I wont be back to Alton Mungenast ToyotaService department 1 star (couldnt even figure out how to get my tire valve caps off)Sales department 2 stars ( put me in 5yr loan instead of 3 like I requested)
Just had my first (and last) oil change at Mungenast Toyota with my new Prius. Dismal experience all around. Price was $10 more than quoted, 45 min longer than quoted, and didnt include the additional services they promised (i.e. car wash and vacuum). Theyre 30 min away, but since this is my first oil change with my Prius, I thought Id give them a shot. I tried to talk with a service manager while I was still there, but they said there was nothing they could do. Next time, I think I would be better off at my local oil change shop. Im very disappointed.
We recently encountered some car issues traveling from Central Illinois back home to Kansas City. Loaded down with Christmas presents, two small children in the back, and snow on the road, Mungenast Toyota saved the day! We rolled into their service department, they diagnosed the problem quickly, and we were back on the road in less than two hours. Josh Kassler was excellent to work with, their waiting area is superb, and even has a glass room for the children to stay occupied. I hope we never have to visit Mungenast Toyota-Scion again, but I recommend that you do!
Ill start off with a complement, the service department is at least 4 stars. But thats where the good review ends. The sales department and financial department are a complete joke. Dont expect a call back. Your business isnt important enough for their time and effort. Save yourself the stress and time...go somewhere else. Zero stars if possible.

From the point of contact with Amber to inquire about the car , she was so helpful, caring. and understanding. We are from Michigan and wanted to be sure the vehicle was what we wanted and that it not be sold before we made the trip down. Amber met us there and the car was in showroom condition! The sale went so smoothly and everyone there was super friendly.After getting the car back home we noticed a small vibration with the transmission. We took the car to a dealer in our area to diagnoses the problem. We contacted Kevin the service manager and he was so easy to deal with and took care of the repair in Michigan! I have NEVER had such a great experience with any other dealership! 2022-06-15I have not bought a vehicle here before, but I just had my 2022 Highlander serviced at Mungenast yesterday. I asked for them to fix my recall and rotate my tires. They did both of those things plus extra! They washed my car, vacuumed it, checked my fluids, and did a general inspection over the vehicle. Everyone there was super nice!

2022-07-05Bought a car here a few years back and had a great experience. Went in today for another thinking alright should be good.Instead this was honestly the most insulted Ive ever felt when bringing a trade-in for appraisal. Was told my trade was worth a fraction of even what was considered the rough trade-in value was. Was told the manager looked at your vehicle and says you also need new tires. That was when I stopped him. The tires on my trade was less than 2 months old from the NTB across the street.I was honestly planning on there being a little negotiations like with all used car deals, but I felt like there was no good faith in the offer that was made on my car. It honestly made me feel like I was trying to make a deal with Matildas father and I got up and left.

2020-09-24My wife and I were very pleased after purchasing our used 2015 Subaru Forester from your dealership in September of 2020. We started shopping for a used Subaru back in July and spent hours upon hours looking at online listing sites and visiting several dealerships. Without a doubt, our experience at Alton Toyota was the best experience weve had since we began our search. Not only did you have the car I wanted, but your staff was genuinely friendly and provided a refreshing balance between being attentive and giving us space to make decisions. I applaud the ownership and management for putting the customers needs first! If only other companies would do the same.

2022-02-14I still have not received the title to my truck. Things are backed up due to covid, I get it. However, I’ve called 12 times in the last 4 days attempting to reach their titles to personnel to get more temporary plates so I can legally drive my truck and get full coverage insurance. They either aren’t there or send me to a voicemail every time. I have left multiple voicemails with no call back. They even have took my name and number down and ensured me they will call me first thing this morning. Still no call. Horrible customer service. Not like you need plates or insurance to drive your $30k investment huh??
