This is the second time Ive used their services the first time money was tight for me and they worked with my finances allowing me to split the bill. This time my car wouldnt start so I had it towed to them and they got back to me the next day and luckily it was only a loose terminal all they charged me for was the diagnostic they ran on the starter and alternator. They were honest and I would recommend them to everyone I know.
The guys at Checkpoint auto are courteous, friendly, professional, and really take the time to explain any problems they are found and give you your options. My whole family uses checkpoint Auto for all their Auto Service needs.I was actually very surprised to find the wide range of repairs, maintenance,restoration,and upgrades that checkpoint Auto provides.Ive been doing business with these people for quite some time and I cant imagine a reason I would take my car anywhere else.
After a less than stellar experience at the dealership, I spent some time researching possible shops to take my car to. I happened upon Checkpoint and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I spoke with John via the phone and he assured me they could resolve my issues. Mike took care of me and gave me some pointers regarding my lug nuts to limit/minimize issues moving forward. I found everyone to be personable, honest, and friendly. I look forward to bringing my car in for future service
I am a loyal customer because they are loyal sevice provider, not over charging, and professionally fix everything, polite crew, neat place. Even they have moved way more farther, I drove there for servicing my car. Highly recommended.
I had a BMW 550XI. The dealer is expensive. I was recommended by a friend. Not only did he diagnose the issues but reasonably priced. I am hooked for life.They have exceptional service. John is an honest and straight talk man. No gimmicks or games. I am satisfied and I will stand for the credibility and quality work they do.I urged you to take your car, truck and SUVS. My van was serviced here after noticing that my tire seemed flat. I arrived with no appointment and with two toddlers tagging along. Employees were very courteous and helpful. From my experience, they seemed honest and didnt try to push me to add services. My tires was repaired within an hour of arriving. Glad I found this gem!
I hadn’t needed a mechanic for a while and came across Checkpoint when my Corolla started shaking and the exhaust started dropping out the bottom. So glad I came here. They got me in and diagnosed the issue that day with what I felt was a very fair estimate. They even asked if I needed a ride home since it would take them til the next day to fix everything. I asked about a band-aid option since the car is 12 years old, and I fet like the options presented were fair and honest. Most places would just be annoyed to answer such questions, I’ve found. Anyway, they did the work super quick and for a great price. I’ll be coming back for any future issues I’m not comfortable tackling on my own.Keep up the great customer service, Checkpoint!
I’ve been here two times in the last year and I will continue to come in the future. Both times I had excellent service and was in and out within a half hour. I came here this week because I had a large screw in my tire. I called them and they told me I can come right in. I had my three small children here and they were very friendly about it. I highly recommend Checkpoint Auto!
I have a 2007 dodge vehicle that wouldn’t pass the emissions inspection. I went to another place and I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. So I came to Checkpoint and I was verrrrrrry impressed with there customer service and honest approach. The completion time was good the communication was unbelievable and the overall service from Hi how can I help to payment was just unbelievable this is a team of great service and people. I passed my emissions with flying colors
I had a very pleasant experience with John and Maureen. Got my power steering fixed here last week for a fraction of the price quoted by Firestone. My car was ready in 2 hours and I even got a sliding coupon. Thank you.

Wow a shop that has integrity and real skilled master mechanic with affordable price . I brought my Lexus ls 430 for an oil leak repair. The Lexus dealer wanted $3700. Pep boys wanted $2500 . John got it done with a 2 yr 24k mile warranty for $600. Yes its a legit shop. Mike and John xplained to me that valve covers first then drive for a week n come back to see what else is leaking. I did and the lower pan was leaking. They fixed it. The other shops wanted to charge me to replace the upper oil pan gasket not necessary. I saved $1900 vs pep boys. Im a customer for life.
They provide an excellent service, fixed the brake line on my car really fast and for a fair price! Will use them in the future for sure. Recommend!! Thank you Mike!
I originally brought my car here because I need to get my oil exchange. I like the fact that this place is open early in the morning because thats the only time I can get it done. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask the name of the person who helped me, but he was nice and very helpful. I asked if he can check the squeaky noise of my car, which was a problem for quite a while and none of the shops I’ve been to resolve the problem. But this place gave me a straight answer and finally resolved it. I actually waited for a week before I made this feedback so I can experience myself if the noise was actually resolved. He even lend me a car for free so I can rest at home while they’re changing my oil, wipers and the rotors. 👍👍👍 I’m satisfied at their service and highly recommend this place.
Went in for an oil change and to have my brake pads checked and they ended up replacing my front brake pads. Fast forward 2months and I am getting my brake rotors replaced because when they put in new brake pads they didn’t rotate the rotors when they replaced the pads which caused the rotors to wear down. Don’t spend your money at this place because they don’t do the full job like they should.
Great service all around! The owner is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Give this place a try if you have never had your vehicle serviced here. You will not be disappointed!

Prices a bit high on components master cylinder and hydro booster for 2012 chevy express 2500 but overall prompt courtesy service and repair.

Very rudely talking to me on the phone. unappreciated Tone and will not be going to this location. The customer service on the phone is the most important part and really does decide if I want to come in to this store or not I did not.

I BROUGHT MY EXPEDITION WITH A KNOWN COMMON PROBLEM THAT OCCURS ON THE TRUCKS ALL THE TIME. I CALLED THEM UP AND ASKED FOR PRICING WHICH THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE ME SO I WENT IN AND HAD THE WORK DONE AND WAS QUOTED ONE PRICE HOWEVER WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE THE PRICE WAS EVEN CHEAPER.THEY SAID I DIDNT NEED ONE OF THE PARTS .TOP NOTCH PEOPLE. THERE MECHANIC(MIKE) AS WELL AS THE OWNER (JOHN) KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO IN MY SITUATION. I CANNOT SEE MYSELF GOING ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. VERY ! VERY! HONEST CUSTOMER BASE SHOP.I WILL BE SENDING FRIENDS AND FAMILY THERE AS NEEDED.

2022-01-15The ball.joint failed on my car while I was driving. I towed it to a dealer and they told me they wouldnt be able to fix it. Called around and luckily found MJS. Towed it there, and the NEXT day my car was ready and at a VERY reasonable price. From now on, all my cars will be brought here.

2021-08-03I needed an oil change and wheel alignment. I checked around several shops in the Schaumburg area only to be told by all of them they were too busy to take me before next week. Last one I came across was MJS. The gentleman on the phone was very polite and fit me in 3 hours prior to closing on the same day! I dropped my car off and was called 2 hours later that the car was done! Upon reaching the office, the woman at the counter was polite and very informative when breaking down the alignment data. I will absolutely use them again! Great experience and pricing was very competitive.

2021-01-20I’m not from the area, but needed my wheels balanced because I was at an appointment nearby. I called around and Checkpoint had the best price. The work was great and fast. Not only was the service great, but I left with knowledge I know I probably wouldn’t get anywhere else. The gentleman at the counter, took the time to educate me on the winter tires that were on the wheels I bought used. He also educated me on hub adapters that my wheels needed, and I had no idea they did. He told me how to go about getting some. In my opinion, they went above and beyond just performing the service I needed. They made sure to let me know how to care for my winter tires, and how to get the best ride out of my wheels. Highly recommended!

2021-07-19It was a Saturday and 2 hrs before closing. They accommodated me and repair my flat tire an hour and 15 minutes later I was back on the road. Glad I went there. So far so good Tire is performing well.

2020-06-03Called on a Tuesday because my air conditioning was not working properly and it was 92 degrees outside. Mike was courteous throughout the call and was able to get me in first thing the next morning. Upon arrival I was met with a friendly smile in a well kept and clean facility. They took my car back and in less than 30 minutes I was on my way. No pain no problems. Very fair pricing and quick efficient service. Thank you guys so much.

2020-03-31I had a great experience with this company at first! Few weeks ago they did a tire balancing on my car. The work was excellent!!! I thank them for that! Today I stopped by for the oil change. After the replacement I picked up my car and went home. While driving I noticed a bad smell of oil in the cabin, at home I looked under the hood and saw that the entire engine, pump abs, the headlights, belts and other things were covered in oil, also I checked the oil level in the engine, it was more that it is supposed to be! I went back to the shop and showed it to the manager but he wasn’t serious about the mess his employee did saying that there had been a tiny oil leak. Here is an interesting fact, that morning before the service I checked the level of all liquids and everything was clean, no oil stains on any of the parts.I don’t want say anything bad about the company because there are different employees who do their job perfectly but sadly for me the one who doesn’t know how to do his job well happened to service my car and made a huge mess! This is extremely disappointing!
