A big thank you to Mike and his team. We got an awesome deal on an awesome low mile newer car! Mike was super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. There were a few snags on our way to our new car but Mike, his wife, and team all took extra time and effort to get us what we wanted and what we needed. Always with an upgrade from where we were making sure that we were happy. Very pleased with our car, the deal, and how we have been treated throughout. Highly recommend we felt right at home. Thanks Mike! The Horsts
I bought a car recently at mikes auto forum and I had a great experience with the whole process. I was surprised with the great chevy selection, knowledgable staff and no pressure from anyone to make a sale. I got a great value and a reliable vehicle. I felt well informed through the entire process which was a great help. I am very satisfied and will definitely return there in the future. Would highly recommend mikes auto forum to anyone who is looking for a quality car
Very professional and friendly service. Bought 2014 Chevy Equinox with low miles and has driven perfectly! Very reasonable prices and a great Warranty that covers anything wrong with the transmission or engine. Highly recommend this place for your next car, I know will when I get another one
I purchased a 2017 Chevy tracks from Mike. Very friendly, very polite, understanding, and makes sure that you are satisfied with what you’re buying. Mike and his bodyman are very honest people. sometimes there is delays due to receiving auto parts. but overall I would definitely give them my business again
Buying at car from Mike’s Auto Forum is a different experience, as it is not a traditional auto lot. At first I was a bit wary but after talking with Mike and seeing the car and the deal he was offering we decide to purchase the car. We are very satisfied with our experience. We were able to buy a low mileage late model Chevy a great price. Mike and his team worked hard to make sure everything with the car was just right and our expectations were met. I would recommend him to anyone interested in buying a used car for a great price. Tom A.
We have bought 2 cars from Mike and are very happy with both. Our 19 year old son has been driving his Chevy Sonic for 7 months across the U.S. from Florida to Chicago to Colorado. It has handled the heavy driving beautifully without any issues. Our older son just got a Chevy Cruze. We had originally ordered a Sonic 4 door but Mike was unable to get the one we wanted. We had a tight time frame and Mike worked with us to make sure we got a great replacement at a great price. Mikes cars are nice quality, some with very nice upgrades, and are very reasonable in price. We highly recommend Mikes Auto Forum.
My husband and I recently purchased a car from here and had a great experience. We had shopped around at a few dealerships but were consistently turned off by the pushy sales tactics of other dealerships. These people are honest and straight to the point, which we appreciated. Yes the car has been in an accident but they provided us with the carfax report upfront so we knew exactly what we were buying. They didnt try to lie or hide it. We got a great car with low miles for a low price. I would not hesitate to come back.
Picked up my car today from Mike. It took longer than expected to finish the repairs but Mike just wanted to make sure there wasnt any problems with the car before he gave it to me. I love the car. As of now everything works perfectly and if I have any issues I know I can call Mike;hell fix it for me. Mike and his family are super nice and welcoming. If everything goes well, I will definitely return to purchase another car.
Recommending this place to all my friends and family! Such a great VALUE!I searched up and down the internet for a car I could use for work with excellent gas mileage, low maintenance, low miles, not too old, reliable, but at a good price (This is pretty much what we all look for.) After searching multiple sites, I came across Mike on AutoTrader and decided I should give him a call. Very friendly on the phone, and I couldnt believe my ears when I heard it came with a 5yr/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty!! Decided to stop in to take a look for myself. A family member gave me a ride there and they stayed for the process also.Immediately after walking in, we felt such a good vibe from this place. I was still in disbelief a little because it was such a good deal, but after checking out the 2013 Chevy Sonic in, out, underneath, under the hood, and finally for the test drive...I knew I had to have the car. The car has been so smooth, reliable, and my gas mileage is amazing! ~36mpg right now with local driving in the mix. The great thing is, this wasnt the only car that Mike had like this. There were others cars available too! With Mike I didnt have to go through the haggling, watching for hidden fees, and headache that I had to go through at a traditional Dealership (that I went through for my last 2 cars.)Such a great value and I have already started recommending Mikes Auto Forum to my family and friends. They do such a wonderful job on the cars, and to this day I still feel confident and excited about the deal I got!
I just got a 2013 Chevy Sonic a couple months ago for an amazing price. Everyone has been really helpful. I took the car on a road trip from Chicago to northern Minnesota and got great gas millage (31.5 miles per gallon)! It took less than half the amount of gas as my other car would have. Overall I love my car and I am so happy I bought it from Mike!
I found a 2016 Chevy Cruze for my parents. Mike was very prompt in getting back in contact with when I had questions about the vehicle. We made a trip to Mike and he was prompt in getting the paperwork done. His customer service was superb and I would recommend him to others if they need a vehicle. And the warranty that he put on the vehicle is hands down the best. Thank you Mike!
Mike is unresponsive, rude and will not hold up to any of his promises. I am very confused at the good ratings. My experience has been nothing short of a disaster. We bought a 2008 Chevy from him and the car has several problems making the car unable to be driven. The car was supposed to come with a 60,000 mile warranty, but he wont fix any of these issues that were existent the day we picked up the car. We needed it that day, but he told us to bring back and he would fix, including a tire with a knot in it ready to blow, leaking evaporator hose all over the front seat of the car every time its driven, and warning lights for tires and airbags. He is now not responding to phone calls, is not there when we go by the shop. We also still have not received the license for the car from him. I would avoid him at all costs to avoid paying money for an inoperable car. If his deals seem too good to be true it is because they are.
I recently purchased a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and got a great price with not a lot of miles on it. Mike and his son were friendly to me and my wife the whole time we were there deciding on what car to buy. They answered all questions and concerns I had for the car in person and over the phone. I liked the fact they always call me back promptly if they are busy because some places dont call you back promptly when you have questions. This is a plus. They gave me 2 weeks to decide whether to keep the car which is posted on a sign on their wall. That is amazing in itself. Of course, since it is a used car there were a few issues I wanted them to address for the car and they did so immediately with really no wait time. They also gave me a 5 year warranty. The car really drives nice and we are happy with it so far. So I have to give them two thumbs up.
2012 sonic with 30,000 miles and NO dealership hassle and price!!The deal, the car, the Mike and mechanics... Just AWESOME! I couldnt be happier. The wait was well worth it and I know the car is safe. Confident it wont leave my toddler and I stranded and it responds superbly. Looking forward to buying another vehicle for my mother.
We have purchased several cars from Mikes Auto Forum, a few Cobalts and a few Cruzes. We have purchased vehicles with as few as 49 miles to as many as 72,000 miles on them.In reading some of the other reviews, I believe most of the poor reviews are from people who think they are buying a new car. Mikes Auto forum gives you a great value for the money you pay, and The shop gives you a warranty.Keep in mind most of the vehicles sold at the Auto forum are Salvage vehicles, that is how you can purchase a low mileage vehicle at nearly half the cost of the same vehicle at a dealership. I am not aware of any other similar shop that provides a warranty for either the length of time or number of miles as the auto forum, and it is included as part of the purchase price there are no extra fees for this warranty.Mike and Remington (Remmy) are straight forward in their approach. When you pick up your vehicle look it over and if you are not happy, let them know, and they will either make the necessary repairs or they will write you a repair ticket waiving the warranty fee. Similar to renting a car, you must look over the entire vehicle, take it for a test drive. We have also been able to sell these cars two to three years later for almost the same amount as we initially paid, and then we upgrade to a newer model from Mikes auto Forum. So if you are looking for free coffee and a nice waiting room and a full service dealership, then go to a dealership, and be prepared to pay twice as much; however if you are looking for a great deal for a used car at nearly half the cost of a dealership, then contact Mikes Auto Forum
The crew at Mikes Auto Forum has been great! My family has purchased two reliable cars from them at unmatchable deals! Both cars run great and weve had one of them for 4 and 1/2 years. Both cars were/are owned by teenagers, so you can imagine what the cars have withstood. Mikes Auto Forum comes highly recommended by all of my family for sure. I cannot begin to understand the complaints people write about this place....
Its been long time since we bought our car from Mikes Auto Forum. That is good news tho because the car is still kicking from 2004. We bought the car for our high school son (who is now graduated from college!) and he is still driving the car. There is nothing fancy about these cars. Ours has no electric in it at all as an example. But the 5 yr. warranty allows for piece of mind and for getting a high school kid back and forth to work, it was perfect.Weve had no major mechanical problems so never had to deal with getting service from Mike - maybe we just got lucky. But for what this business offers, solid, compact cars for tooling around town...we thought it was an excellent value.
I agree with the all of the positive reviews. When I went to purchase my Cobalt I got nothing but honesty and passion in what they do. For me a business is only great if the people working for it have a passion for what they do. Chevys is what they do and they do it well. The price of the car was well below average price for used cars in other shops and private sales. The fact I have a place to go to get my car fixed if I have a problem is comforting. When I talk to the employees I feel like Im talking to one of my friends who loves fixing cars. Its a nice feeling and gives me flash backs when I was in college working on my old junker car. Which is something I dont have to worry about because the rebuilt car I purchase has fooled many friends, co-workers, and even neighbors. They think I got a new car, but it just looks and performance that way.
After went to some dealers, like chevy and ford, I went to Mike. I got a 14 chey sonic, 22k, the car drives great so far. The price for the car, its a great deal. I like the 5 year/100k warranty and thats the reason I decide to buy the car. By the way, they are very nice people and helpful.
Great guys to work with in a low-stress environment for car buying. Got a fantastic deal on a brand new Chevy Sonic! Skillful mechanics who fixes what needs to fixed the right way. Great repository of Chevy parts if you need anything fixed or replaced over their 5 year/100,000 mile warranty!
We drove from MN to purchase the vehicle for my dad -- Mike was great and very professional to work with. Car drove all way to back to MN without a problem! Great car at a great price!!!! Now were just waiting for the title. Mike was excellent and very trustworthy -- will buy from him again. Id recommend him to anyone!!!Ally
I needed a car in a hurry, as my car is dying and drove away that day!I was thinking one color, but went away with another that had a remote start and was ready to roll.Feel like a queen with the remote start - I never had one before, so love it!We filled out the paperwork, and away I went in my new (to me) Chevy Sonic!Im driving a 2014 with 32K and after looking around at other Sonics with similar mileage, I saved at least $4,000Cant beat the Free bumper to bumper -5 year warranty with a $250.00 deductible.I am waiting on my plates, but in the meantime, I am driving a new, safe vehicle that is not leaking fluids, running rough and a loud muffler like my previous car.It is definitely worth checking it out to get into a newer car without the new car massive car payment.Love the car Mike!Know he will take care of any issues that may come up
I recently purchased a 2014 cruze from Mikes auto forum I was able to choose from a couple Chevy sonics and a couple Chevy cruzes to start the process. Since Mikes auto forum rebuilds cars I did wait about a week for my car to be delivered but when it showed up at my door it looked like a bran new car! Then on top of my bran new 2014 Chevy cruze it comes with all kinds of perks my favorite was I only paid $10,000 for a car that still retails at the dealer for $19,000+ I got a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty on top of existing miles so Im covered for 5 years or 72,000 some miles which ever comes first. Now if that wasnt painless enough they take care of the plates and title too it took about 2 and a half weeks I received a call informing me that my title and plates were waiting for me to pick them up during any business hours. I was offered a 2 week return the car no questions asked but I had my plates and already was very happy with my purchase. in the end if you are looking for a car and can wait a week of so you can pay half price for a bran new car I recommend looking into Mikes auto forum
I have bought 4 cars from Mike. 3 of which have been great with a 5 year warranty and no problems. The 4th is on its way we have not received it yet. I have had nothing but good experiences and money saved on practically new cars with Mike. I believe my repeat business is testimony enough. If I didnt really like it here I wouldnt be back for a 4th time! I highly recommend Mike for a reliable vehicle.
Horrible experience drove 90 minutes to see the vehicle and called twice beforehand to ensure that it was there and available. After arriving I was told that the car was not there anymore. To make matters worse he tried selling me much worse condition vehicles at a higher price with more miles. This is the definition of a bait and switch. Do yourself a favor and RUN!!!
I bought my son a 2010 Cobalt in November 2012. I worked mostly with Remmy and I he did a good job. He answered all my questions. Until last week we had no issues with the car. I noticed a leak on the radiator and called and left a message. Mike called me back within a few minutes and scheduled an appointment for today.I have been pleased with service and the car.Dan
This is our 3rd car from Mike. The cars and the process gets better with each car we buy. Mike and Remy are both great to work with. Once you understand what you are buying, you cant beat the prices. Starting to feel like family. :-) I know there will be cars 4 and 5 down the line if Mike doesnt retire before that. Pleasure doing business with Mike and Remy.Don & Rhonda Klecz
Excellent value and service, nothing but a class act. We bought a 2018 Trax that was pristine for the value, definitely cant be matched. The owner and his son answered all of our questions and were honest with all aspects of the vehicle. We would recommend anyone to purchase a car from here!
I bought a car from this place, and within a month the check engine light came on, so I brought it in, he made me pay the $250, and they never fixed it. Within a week the check engine light came on again, same issue. I brought it in, they kept the car for nearly a week, and didnt fix it. I drove the car on a trip and the light came on again, same problem. Id like to believe theyre incompetent and it wasnt malice, but Im not so sure. Now I get to take my car to a real mechanic and pay full price to have them repair a problem that Mike should have fixed. Unacceptable and unethical. Buyer beware.
This is the worst place I have ever been to. Mike and his son are complete low lifes. They take advantage of people in the worst way. I have payed almost $2,000s repairing the awful job they did on this car. Today, my mechanic showed me a piece of the car that was literally glued together and another part that was taped together. Because of this the car shut down when we were driving on the highway and we were lucky to not have seriously got injured. I am writing this review mainly because I do not want people to make the same mistake I did in purchasing a car here. I willing to guess that a lot of the positive ratings they have wrote themselves because I do not know how anyone could have had anything that resembles a positive experience with this place.
I DISAGREE with Elise, I have nothing but good things to say about them. Mike and Remy were very nice and professional. They were very upfront and honest. They specialize in cobalts and cruises and they warranty cars for five years. The cars also go through inspections done by IDOT. I wonder if she is even a real customer because she should know that she could have saved herself $2,000.00 because her warranty only has a $250.00 deductible. My cobalt is running great just like the one we bought for my husband four years ago. Thanks so much Mike and Remy!!!!!!
I dont like to give any one a bad grade of any service, but right now I have to say I feel like my daughter is getting the run around with Mike, She bought the car 5 months ago and we are still waiting for our title and plates. Everytime we call him he says he does not have it yet call back in 2 weeks. He was very nice when we were buying the car and seemed to be very honost but really not living up to his words.Very disappointed with the commitment from him.
People do you realize you are buying a wrecked lemon car with cheap aftermarket parts put on such as bumpers that are made of cheaper material then OEM and headlights that are not sealed properly letting water get inside and cheap radiators. Yes the price seems good but not with these cheap parts put on. How do i know i used to deliver parts to them and they racked up a hefty credit line which i dont know if they paid the place i worked for closed. Dont buy what for lemon car is not good. These reviews make me laugh and smh.
Aside from waiting for quite a while for the car plates to arrive. My experience with Mike was strictly profesional. If they would be (really nice) we as clients would think... they are just trying to sell if they are simple and straight to the point, then we the client would thing that they are to rude as far as the car goes it has been an excellent choice!!!
I bought a truck there 4 weeks ago, they were to replace a part and told me it was gonna be ready in 5 days, its been a month already and they havent given me the truck yet they keep on telling me that is going to be ready in a couple of days but nothing yet, I paid it in full that is why they are leaving it on the side and working on other cars, I even got the insurance for that truck since the first day I bought it and its been a month already so I am paying $150 per month for insurance when I havent even got the truck. I bought it as an emergency because my car broke and I really needed a car so I can go to work and move around I even had to get a rental car for 4 days thinking that I was gonna have my new truck ready but as of now I am still waiting, now Im wondering if the truck is going to be perfect or not with the bad experience I already had hope that at least they give me a good truck , once I get it Im going to take it to a dealer for a 10 point check to make sure that its in perfect condition. and I will then put another review hopefully is good and that will make my decision of coming back or not because my daughter is buying a car but I told her to wait to see if they give us a good car , I may come back because the prices are good just the bad experience si far on the wait time hopefully the truck is in perfect condition so I can go back
Went to Mikes Auto Forum looking for a used car, walked out with a blessing, reasonably priced, had the car ready the next day, handled everything very professionally, even took me on a tour, highly recommend, if your looking for a car practically new this is your place, low miles, everything working great very satisfied, already set in my mind whenever I know anyone needs a car send them here!
These people write their own reviews so please do not go to this place based of the fake reviews.I give it one star only because there is not an option to give it zero stars. This place is the worst! I cannot say one good thing about this place. The service is horrible, the quality of the cars are horrible, it even smells horrible. The car we bought has broken down more times than I can remember. They took over six months to get the title and license plates to us and that was after constant badgering from us. They keep giving you the run around and they do not hold up to any of their promises. The place is a scam and should be shut down. It is easily the worst decision I have made to buy a car from this place!!!!
Great place to buy a chevy vehicle, highly recommend them I got one about 5 years ago & 3 others of my family members have gone there to buy a car and all of them have been great, havent had any problem with them that would be out of the ordinary think of going back to get a new one.

2022-08-06Chevy specialist and very friendly. car in and out very quickly. price is about $5000 lower compare to similar year and mileage. Although the car will have accident history, but it will have clean title and mike will show the original damage with free 5 years in house warranty with deductible (chevy only, tho). The final price will also include fax, $300 doc fee, and $600 destination charge.overall, very nice car and okay car buying experience. just check everything and make sure all parts are installed, if not, tell mike, he will make it right. So, if you see a chevy you like, visit mike ASAP, the car sold VERY QUICKLY.

2022-01-11My wife and I founds Mike’s when browsing for a new Chevy Equinox because his prices are so good. After reading some bad review we were hesitant to move forward. We eventually decided to trust mike and buy the car. We have had the car for about 6 month so far and it run great. Mike has displayed great customer service and has ever serviced the car for free when it needed to changes some of its fluid. We would deffefinly recommend buying a car here as he has the best prices in town and have delivered the expertise customer experience that everyone deserves.

2017-11-23Ive had many problems with my 2010 Chevy Cobalt LT from Mikes Auto Forum: Check engine light, Leaky hoses from the transmission, damaged hub assembles, problems with power locks, you name it. The owner Mike refused to fix the leaky trans hoses and the assembles over a year ago. I had to fix all the above myself, and just recently I went to get my check engine light fixed and he agreed to fix it. I paid $250 deductible and had my car taken in for over a week. Im convinced that he didnt do anything at all to fix the problem. When i picked up the car the check engine light was gone, but reappeared as soon as i got home! I gave Mike a call and he told me to bring the car in again to see what they can do for me. Mike refused to fix my check engine light and everything else wrong with car AFTER HE ALREADY TOOK MY MONEY. This place not very professional and they do not work with you at all.The point is, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE, but if you do just know the WARRANTY THEY OFFER IS A SCAM.

2018-03-31Mikes Auto Forum was a great place to buy a car.We got a great deal and the car is great!Mikes office took care of all the paperwork, and we received the car on time. They have been in business for 30 years, and his son is the head mechanic. Great guy, very knowledgeable about the car. They only deal in Sonics and are experts at what they do. I would buy from them again.

2018-03-07I had an excellent experience with Mike’s Auto Forum. I found them online and went in to check them out because of the great deals they were offering. I would however recommend that you call first before going because their website is not always up to date due their cars selling out so quickly. You should know that these cars are not new and in fact they have been in an accident. However, the mechanics there are really great and fix them up like new! I bought a 2015 Chevy Sonic LTZ with leather seats, a backup camera and a remote starter for $7,600! Not a bad deal, especially because you would never be able to tell it was in an accident. It really looks and drives great! I liked that they took the time to show me the pictures of how the car looked after the accident and gave me a free carfax report so I knew exactly what I was getting. All cars come with a 5year/100,000mile bumper to bumper warranty, so that also gave me a sense of comfort when buying it too. The process was so fast! My car was literally ready for me to pick up the day after I saw it. So far I’m loving my new car and would definitely recommend checking out Mike’s Auto Forum if you are looking for a Chevy Sonic!

2020-06-10They are very friendly, the quality of work is outstanding. They have a great policy of bumper to bumper warranty that would be impossible to get it from any other dealers. I have had total of 3 awesome deals with them so far and I am very happy.

2022-03-21Three things: 1) My airbag light went on a year after I bought the car. The problem turned out to be that this dealer spliced in a different make seat retractor but he did not solder the wires together. So over time the connection failed. If I had taken it back to him, he would have charged me $250 to fix his lousy workmanship. Plus I do not know if he would have fixed it correctly. Maybe just resplice and not solder the wires as they should. 2) Initially I was promised two keys at the end of January for the car I purchased. Come end of April I call and ask about my second key. I was told the supplier was closed due to Covid-19. Ok, I buy that. Mid July, I call and ask about the key. I was told dont call, he will call me. It has been 6 months. He gets angry with me for calling. 2) I had minor bumper accident. I took it to a local shop and I was told by them the work in unseen areas subpar. Anti corrosion not applied to weld joints. They say it will be a long term problem. My daughter recently wanted to get a car and asked me about Mikes Auto Forum. I told her to stay away. You get what you pay for. Prices are good but quality and customer satisfaction low on their list.
