Poorly run office. Lost my medical records 3 times. They only care if your insurance will pay. Dr. Siri non existent. Patient is seen by Nurse practitioners. They are not associated with Memorial or Springfield Clinic, whose allergy centers are top notch running medical offices. Beware of poorly run office if you decide to go there.
The inconsistency of communication within this facility is very aggravating and time consuming. It seems the procedures and policies are always changing. When instructed that the treatment plan was going to be handled in a particular manner, then next appointment it changes, and also being turned away from appointments being told they would have to be rescheduled even though the circumstances leading to the reason of being turned away were verbally approved previously. I think dealing with the allergies is less bothersome. I will encourage everyone I know to seek treatment elsewhere as I intend to do.
Dr. Siri is a very down to earth allergist Dr. Who makes you fell important and what you have to say does matter! One can trust her and her staff completly!. She is determined to help you find out in such detail what is the root of your problem, she goes through every step needed to find the cause of the problem or problems and guides you in detail to whats needed to help you recover and feel healthy again. I highly recommend her.
I have worked with MASA for almost two months now, and it already feels like home. Everyone on the staff immediately welcomed me with open arms and constantly provides me with a professional, yet caring environment that I fortunately get to call my workplace. I would highly recommend anyone in my life to come to MASA for all of their allergy and immunology needs.

2022-05-17Inconsistent. Thats a good word to describe this place. I only go there for allergy injections due to insurance reasons, but will be looking to change insurances to have a better option. Directions and procedures changes seem to be a plague to the operation of this facility. I have been told to wait 20 minutes after injections. Then it changed to 30 minutes. I was also asked a battery of questions before each injection which changed to no questions, then back again to the questions. I sometimes check in with the allergy clinic, other times Im redirected to the main clinic across the hall to check in. When I phone to schedule appointments, the call is taken in Normal, Illinois. Ive been scheduled for injections at Normal erroneously. Ive also had several appointments rescheduled or cancelled. Saturday availability has been relayed incorrectly by the receptionist in Normal. What recently took the cake was a mask issue. As this is a medical facility, I understand the necessity to wear a mask. On this particular day, I forgot my mask at home and had none remaining in my car. When I asked for a mask, I was told it would be 1.00, no exceptions. When I said Id need to cancel my appointment, she nonchalantly replied okay. Oh, and she was wearing her mask on her chin. Thats a terrible representation for a medical facility. And indicative of the priority of dollars over care. Ive also been given incorrect instructions regarding my injection schedule which led me to missing about a month of injections, thus not having my allergen tolerance built up before spring and early summer which was the entire point in the first place. On a positive note, the main nurse in the injection area is smart as a whip and efficient.

2022-08-17Every member of our family - adults and children - have seen providers at this office and we have been more than happy with the care weve received. Our children especially feel welcomed and known in this space which makes doctors appointments so much easier. We travel out of town for many specialists and appreciate being able to have such wonderful providers here locally. If youre looking for an allergist, look no further.

2022-05-173.5 hours to get a simple skin test for my new serum. My name is Laura and I am shopping for a new allergist as of today. Enough. The appointment I was given today for Sherman IL wasn’t even written on their schedule. My serum was NOT in Sherman, so that took 30 minutes for them to figure out and send me back to Springfield with no record of an appointment there either. This appt was set 3 weeks ago. DO NOT ever show discontent else your doctor will take it personally and walkout on you like mine did when I began to complain about the chaos I was enduring today. The nurse admitted the entire 2 mo th serum debacle was 1000% their fault dropping the ball. So much for listening to and diffusing someone who is upset. Took me nearly 3 months to get a new serum processed, but the doctor could care less. He’s a pill pusher anyway. I’m so far behind now, I got a sinus infection - the very reason I got shots in the first place -to AVOID them.Others talk about inconsistencies and dropping the ball. 100% true. Probably worse now that they’re taking on even more new patients. OMG, I’ve never seen such chaos. You can’t get a straight answer or directions or anything explained by the “office manager” and when you try to ask questions, you are quickly reprimanded as rude and interrupting. I learned 3 hours into my appointment that I wasn’t on the schedule. Sigh. So much for anyone wanting to listen to FIX the nonsense.20 year patient and treated like dirt. When the old clinic closed and I came here, I met Dr. Siri who is the best. Unfortunately, she is mostly in the Bloomington office, so waits for appointment are long. I was excited to have her as a new doctor, she’s so thorough, but that’s not happening in Springfield. Had to deal with a couple of the most UN compassionate professionals I’ve ever encountered. I had every right to be angry - I’m usually a pretty patient person until I know I am being messed with and this ordeal has been the worst.

2022-07-25Midwest Allergy Sinus and Asthma is a great place. Ive read some of the reviews where people cant get through or they wont answer their phones. I have been with them for just a little over a year. I have never had a problem getting a hold of the office. Yes, sometimes they answer in Normal, IL but they schedule for both offices.I had to change providers because Central Illinois Allergy and Respiratory closed last year. I am glad I chose MASA. The doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and staff are wonderful. They made the transition easy.Ive heard complaints because of the differences with allergy shots between the previous clinic and MASA. Are there differences between the 2 offices, yes. But every doctors office is different.I am in there every week now as I am building up my allergy shots and havent had any issues. Yes, you do have to wait afterwards and some people are not used to that, but it is for your own saftey to ensure you do not have a bad reaction.I am thankful I found them.

2021-08-27Trying to call MASA Springfield, IL and talk to my doctors office is a nightmare. I called today and got someone in Bloomington. I left a msg for my doctors office and then got a call back from a call service located outside if the USA with a msg from my doctors office!! I then left another msg and then finally got a call from the doctors office. Everyone I talked to was very nice BUT it takes two calls - one out of the country - to get to my doctors office? (Plus this actually started yesterday with three calls.) I have also been standing at the receptionist desk and waited while she got off her cell phone but was told that she was communicating with one of the doctors there. She probably was. THEY NEED MORE PEOPLE ON THE PHONES IN THE SPRINGFIELD OFFICE!! Im getting ready to change doctors simply because I cant get thru on the phone and I like my doctor and his staff very much and I have been with them for almost 40 years!!!

2021-09-13Office poorly run. When someone does answer the phone, it is clear that person does not actually work for MASA because they are clueless on basic medical office procedures. I loved the NP I saw here, but it isn’t enough to keep me a patient. I will be moving on to a new doctor.

2021-02-17TERRIBLE staff. Love Dr. Siri, but I’ve seen her twice in 3 years, the “nurses” have forgotten to order new vials of my serum twice. Totally wasted 3 years (and lots of $$) getting shots only to fall behind twice due to their error.

2021-08-31This office is so unprofessional they do not answer their phones and they continue to say that they have phone issues. I could not get in contact with someone before my appointment. I had to call their other office located in Bloomington who verified my appointment but it was the wrong time and once I got to the office it was just terrible customer service. The office manager had very poor communication skills. It was unpleasant I declined to reschedule I will find another office and I see why they have a 3.0 score.

2021-07-23Absolutely terrible service. They will never answer a call and when I finally got a hold of them, they said they wouldnt even tell me what appointments are available or if I would even be seen until I paid them $30. Apparently if you dont give them a deposit, they wont even tell you if they have open appointments. This was the only allergist my insurance would take so I guess Im just completely out in the wind. Terrible service all around and they obviously care little for the health of the people in the community.
