Came here with an appointment for tux rental/purchase - terrible experience.The two people that helped were very disorganized and not helpful. It felt like we were prying information out of them.They didnt let us try anything on. An actual exchange:Us: what is the price of this tux?Employee: idk off the top of my headUs: ok well can you find outEmployee: yeah it is in a book....Us: can you look at that and get the price then?Employee:... Ok.At one point an employee repeatedly ignored us - and then claimed she was zoned out - mid conversation. Will try a different mens warehouse.
I came in yesterday with my grandson,an a gentleman named Michael helped us,he was kind,patient,caring an very helpful,I could tell that he really liked his job,he really saved the day for us,thank you if I could I wouldve given you 10 stars,you didnt rush to get us outta the store,you took your time,I hope you get a raise...thanks again an I will recommend you to others..Dorothy
I have been to this location many times and have always had a great experience. Everyone Ive worked with has provided me with exceptional service! From helping me pick out tuxedos for my wedding to updating my wardrobe, I cant say enough good things. In this day in age, I find you get what you pay for, and this particular Mens Warehouse location is nothing but high quality and sound advice.
My husband rented a tux from here about a month ago and we just picked it up yesterday. Today we went back because the entire outfit was “wide”. Mark the store manager helped us out and boy did it go downhill from there. The first interaction that we had with him as soon as we walked in was bad- he seemed aggravated to begin with and that just exploded to an argument while getting my husband re- fitted. I told him that I didnt like how the pants were overall wide and he just flipped into telling me “not to come at him like this and that I should sit down because Im not going to tell him how to do his job”. This argument continued to the point where he said “ I’m actually not going to help you and he sent us another employee to finish the job. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE. I am in the process of contacting RB who is their regional manager- this behavior of a manager is unacceptable and he needs a different profession or some anger management classes. I NEVER raised my voice at him I simply told him that neither one of us liked how the tux fit. His behavior was unacceptable especially for a manager. I feel bad for the rest of the employees! A side note- when we went there to get fitted the first time NOBODY explained to us anything and just said that it will be ready at least 2 days before the event. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AND WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS HERE EVER AGAIN!!!!! If you want to be treated with respect i suggest staying away from here. MARK,THIS IS HOW STORES GO OUT OF BUSINESS AND THIS IS HOW YOU END UP WITHOUT A JOB! Customer is NOT always wright but theres a difference between an opinion and how to do your job.
Only come here if you want to get yelled at and overcharged. After spending over $300 on a shirt and two ties for a wedding my husband was in, we brought back the unused tie to return. There is no sense of order in this store, and after we waited by the registers for 10 minutes, we were told in a very snotty manner that theres a check in list at the back of the store. I mentioned we were doing a return, and then the sales man yelled, theres a list and people are in front of you. We walked back to the list, and before we could add our names, the same man yelled just go to the register. The Fed Ex man was delivering boxes at the register and the salesman was also giving the delivery man a hard time, saying it took to long for deliveries, while ignoring us as he processed the return. This is a unacceptable way to treat customers, we will never patronize this store or franchise again.
I called to ask if I can come in and if they can do measurements for my blazer and they said yes and that I can come in. I come in and I could already tell I was going to have a bad experience. The manager was extremely rude, unprofessional, and did not understand a single word I said. All I needed was measurements, thats literally it. Its not that hard to do that. The manager then tells me that they dont do that. If you dont do that, why tell me on the phone to come in? I literally wasted whole 30 minutes just waiting there and for someone to come help me just to find out they dont do measurements. How do you sell suits and not do measurements? I also wanted to purchase some things as well, but after seeing how rude and unprofessional the manager was, I decided to leave. I dont even leave reviews but this has been the worst experience I came across.
My fiance and his best man just left and said how horrible their experience was. They were rushed, numerous people were put ahead of them after they had been waiting. The guy doing the suits was extremely rude. I felt bad because I was the one who insisted they go here. They called me multiple times about what was going on. Luckily they found a place where tailored suits are $200 vs $250 for just renting. Ended up going to Suits 20/20 (me included). Much better experience.
Great place, great selection, much more inventory then all other stores, personalized service with incredibly nice and friendly staff. Excellent service and quality merchandise. Definitely would recommend for anyone In need of a suit. Thank you for all your help, advice and expertise Mark!!!
Just like everyone else lately, I’ve had a terrible experience. Mark is one of the rudest, most condescending managers of a business that I have ever met. After more than an hour of being passed around with little idea to what was going on, they told me there whole system was down and that they couldn’t help me. Mark made this out to be my problem that I should figure out, not him. He told me they would call me when the system was back up to put my suit rental for a wedding it and of course I received no phone call. STAY FAR AWAY AND GO TO THE ONE IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS! They will actually help you out and don’t have a store manager who constantly thinks their disorganization is everyone else’s problem.
Lovely store and lovely people. Items are price the way they are because the quality is the best. I just have one minor issue: when getting a suit fitted, one of the workers got a bit handsy. Instead of asking for permission or telling us that the pants were adjustable, the employee went in and started grabbing at the waist line. Making us uncomfortable. We didnt say anything because we didnt wanted to seem like difficult customers.I would appreciate, for future reference, if they would ask for permission before getting that near to the waist line or near to the persons underwear.
**Don’t bother making an appointment here.** Appointments are not honored. I made a 12pm appointment and multiple people were ahead of me with no clear indicator for how long I’d wait.Associates were rude and unwelcoming. Spoke to me as if my appointment didn’t matter. I often don’t leave bad reviews but when you have an appointment system and you walk in to find it didn’t matter, it’s extremely upsetting.
I’ve never written reviews before, but i just had to do it for this one.Terrible customer service.They messed up my fiancés measurements. The pants were way too short when he went to fit his tux. And our wedding is in less than a wk. They were not even apologetic the fact that they messed up big time. This branch is terrible it is our worst experience.I would not recommend this to anybody.I cannot believe they hire people that are not competent enough for the job.Worst experience ever. It added a lot more stress to our upcoming wedding
I stopped in for a quick purchase of dress pants, shirts, and ties and Rosa was both very friendly and able to pick a couple of great combinations for me. She was also helpful in assisting me in expediting the tailoring of the pants and pressing of the dress shirts. I am very happy with my very quick visit and purchases at this location.
Skokie store could not find my suit was supposed to pick up yesterday now it wont make it to store till end of day today. I guess customer service ends once they get paid. How can manager or the people who work there not be able to locate tracking number for over a day. Should be very easy with computers seeing that they had order number. I will never go back to Skokie store again and advise anyone to go to another store.
The selection was ok when I was there but the sales person was honestly a little pushy which I didnt enjoy. I stopped in to buy something for a single event and he was trying to insist that I take part in a sale to get more than I needed. I was annoyed by that but overall happy with my purchase in the end.
Not impressed. The associate helping us was defensive about every decision we made or question we asked. Not to mention he was unkempt, had breath/body odor and needed a haircut badly. For a professional establishment, we were not treated very professionally. If there were more places to rent tuxedos at a reasonable price, wed have brought our business elsewhere. That said, they are the most cost effective place to rent from. But I guess you get what you pay for. The store manager and another young gentleman were very dapper, helpful, and offered us many helpful suggestions.
I was told there was only one 3 piece blue tux available for rental, which just found odd for a chain as big as mens wearhouse. When I asked for other styles I was told Id need to buy a custom tux for anything else. The guy helping me was nice, but I was put off by the whole thing.
Came in looking for a suit, and he guy that helped me, jay, was amazing. However, I call the next day to check on my order and the lady that picked up the phone had a super disrespectful tone saying “it’s not ready” and told me to not waste her time without even asking for my name or number, and hung up the phone while I was talking.
I had to rent a tux from this location and they charged me $45 more for going past a week on the rental,..then turned around amd wanted to charge me $20/day after the 7th day. Additionally, i had to pay $20 for not returning the bag and was told itd be refunded once my buddy(who had the bag) returned it...then when i called for a refund they said they cant verify it anymore that it was returned. If you can avoid this particular location, do so. They are crooks and I will be filing fraud charges with my bank over this matter. Additionally, they cant measure properly..out of 6 guys in the wedding party, 4 had rentals that didnt fit and one had buttons missing on his vest...avoid this place if possible again.
Wow are they rude. I first began at the Skokie location didn’t go back because when I initially called on the phone a man answered and I asked if we can just come in or need an appointment that we wanted to do a tux rental. He was going on, on how that makes know sense because we haven’t decided on the style or price, that he has no info, how are we gonna come in and just pick a tux. He was so rude and judgemental. This was on Aug 3rd in the afternoon. So of course I wasn’t gonna go there and have him be rude to us again so then we moved on to the Niles location.My family and I were patiently waiting 25 min at least to be helped, the blonde pregnant lady saw us and took care of everyone who came after us and we still were never helped! Finally I went up to her nicely asking if we should come back because she’s taking care of everyone who came after us and we still haven’t been helped.An employee came by her to use the register and she said loud enough for me to hear, “Can you please help this lady she’s getting upset” Wow so he came wasn’t helpful at all did nothing didn’t even offer to help us with rentals or anything was like talking to a mannequin.Btw tux rentals start at $240 and you’re getting horrible service.I found a VERY friendly place for $160!Blonde pregnant lady and man you just lost 8 people for business we needed 8 tuxedos! But from what I hear Men’s Warehouse is known for their “outstanding” personality
Avoid this place if you have any other option. Saturday afternoon @3 pm in the fall - prime wedding season. Doors are locked with “back in 5 minutes” sign on door. 15minutes later someone shows up and is unpleasant. Very little selection. Grossly overpriced. Hot mess.
The most disrespectful, rude, condescending service I have ever experienced. I felt like I was speaking to a slightly less eloquent Donald Trump. Just... a garbage person. Trash. I hope he steps on a Lego everyday of his life. I hope he gets audited by the IRS. I hope the person he loves cheats on him with his best friend and hes left with no one.
The manager of the Skokie location, Michael Jablonsky, is the finest example of a knowledgeable and astute salesperson that I have ever encountered. Mike always has wonderful ideas to mix and match suits, jackets and pants. I refuse to purchase these items from anyone other than Mike at the Skokie store.
Got a tux here for a wedding. Not only was I not told that I wouldnt have a full vest because I wear a xxl, but the bib that was to be my vest didnt have a buckle in the back and the strap would not stay in place. On top of that, the shirt looked dirty and my cufflinks broke after wearing them for fiver minutes. At least I can return it anywhere.Updated to a lower rating when another groomsman who had a larger sized vest had a full vest. If you couldnt find one, say so. Dont lie to me and essentially call me far in the process.
Guy getting the suits in the Skokie location was extremely rude and ignorant…was measured 5 months ago and i got the wrong shoes, wrong shirts and pants that looked like parachute pants…got a small refund on some things but would rather have items that fit…Carrie was the only help
Rented my tux for my wedding here and all the wedding party got suits from mens wearhouse there were a few hiccups from other stores as expected we had a large party but Kari and Mike were awesome anything that was a issue did not remain that way in my view as a past customer i would only rent/buy from mens wearhouse not just great value but amazing customer service thank you to all the staff
This 1 star rating is based off a return. I recently tried to return a suit, shirt and shoes I just purchased 3 days prior. Everything ended up being way too big. The cashier gave me an attitude from the very beginning. She accused me of wearing the shoes, which I did not. And told me she could not take them back. I tried them on once at the store and once at home. So I had to drive 30 mins out of my way to return them to a different store. Oddly enough, no questions asked at a different store. I’ll never step foot into this location again!

And if the service at some establishment seems less than good, or bad, they probably just had a bad moment. I never get upset with service.That said . . . I recently rented a tux at Mens Wearhouse. The tux rental in itself, was great. They delivered on time, the tux was good. All of the accessories were there, and it fit.This review is regarding the store itself, and the service on the day of my tux pick-up (Th 05-19-2022).The store is currently a MESS and has been for about the last six (6) months. MW is a tenant and the landlord has a roof leak that they must deal with. That certainly makes things tough. But nevertheless, the store is a MESS. Photos are attached to document this. The floors are dirty. The displays are old, worn and chipped. Display product is messy, not neat. It is if management does not care about the appearance of their store.They were short staffed on Th 05-19-2022. This certainly happens (covid and post-covid). This I would normally ignore and not care about. But on this day, management was doing NOTHING in terms of customer service (other than . . . just deal with it). Management was not trying to help to speed things up, expedite deliveries or provide any customer service. Yes - they were understaffed on this day, but they did not make any effort at customer service.And the store is an absolute mess.

2022-06-09Stopped in to pick up my pants that were paid for and had alterations made. It’s been twenty minutes and I keep being told to wait. I get it, but if I am told to be here to pick up an item. It should not take twenty + minutes. I will be sure not to actually purchase or rent here again. This is a ridiculous waste of time. There are literally zero redeeming qualities at this location. On top of that, good luck getting them to respond to phone or e-mail. Their customer service company couldn’t even get the information I needed. Just all around horrible experience. As I am waiting I keep reviewing what I am writing and bam. It has now been over half an hour.

2022-03-03My partner ordered a blue tuxedo and received black. They reordered and his was fine. My order was for a 42S jacket. They received 42R and reordered. The reorder sent was an identical 42R. I canceled the order on the morning of the event. 5 visits to the store and never did get the tux. I called 3x to have the expense credited. It never happened and no one called me back. I called again and was told that since I used a debit card I had to come into the store in person to process the credit. The staff repeatedly apologized but never called to update me despite numerous calls to them. Go anywhere else. These guys simply don’t care.

2022-04-20Mens wearhouse has gone completely downhill. Nothing much in terms of selection, not enough enough staff and poor upkeep. There was an entire wall sectioned off with yellow tape secured by a garbage can. The staff was so overwhelmed that they prepared a sign in sheet for customers with loose notebook paper and a pencil.There was a time when Mens Wearhouse was the go to for mens fashion. Unfortunately those days seem to be in the past. Sad I have to find a new store to shop.

2022-04-15Had new employees do my wedding setup and didnt go very well. Got email next day showing what we ordered and all wrong. Called management next day to get re configured and fixed it up well! Need to keep an eye on the new employees please. I even had a positive outlook and tried lifting up their spirits with the setup.

2022-07-21This location is absolutely awful. Came here to get a tuxedo for my wedding. I chose Men’s Wearhouse because I’ve had a good experience with other locations, and my best man is from out of town so we needed a nationwide chain that he could go to as well. I got measured back in March and we had an appointment set up. The person who started helping us was completely uninterested. I told him what i was looking for and he suggested the complete opposite. When it came time to try stuff on, he was nowhere to be found. Ultimately we enlisted the help of a manager who was extremely helpful and was able to get me measured properly.Fast forward to 10 days before my wedding, I get an email saying that my tux is ready for pick up. Went to pick it up and that’s where the further troubles began. When I was fitted, they told me that i was eligible for a free rental since I have 6 in my wedding party. This manager tells me that this is not the case because my ring bearers do not have a full tux with a jacket. No one told me this when I initially got fitted. The manager says “it’s fine we’ll honor it this time.When it came time to get fitted, the manager just wanted us out of there. The tux was not in great condition. The pants and shirt were not pressed and she seemed annoyed when we asked her to fix it. She was more preoccupied with helping other people than helping us. She kept standing over us like a hawk and was frustrated how long it took me to change. As a result i felt extremely rushed during my fitting and wasn’t able to give the process the time it deserved. When i tried everything on at home again, it turned out that I needed some further alterations.Because of this location’s dismissive service, I needed to take time out of my day the next day to go get refitted and alterations done but my fiancée’s brother and I went to Oak Brook instead where we got wonderful service. The employees at that location genuinely cared and recognized the importance of me looking good on my big day. They took the time to make alterations I needed and let me take as much time as necessary to make sure that everything looks perfect. I wish I went there to begin with and had not even wasted my time with the Skokie location.

2022-07-20I have been going here for almost a year to get new clothes for my job. The only person who it looked like they stayed was the tall guy who is now a manger . I think his name was Charles?????He’s was always busy with other customers, but he was always great and acknowledged everyone. And based on the other reviews, other people felt the same way. I was coming in last week, it looks like everyone else had stopped working there (and fixed the forever leaking problem….)I just hope that he sticks around..

2022-02-24Horrible service. I placed an online order and the order got cancelled, the reasoning being that 8 of the 9 items were out of stock. Their website showed all were in stock, and even after the order got cancelled their website the next day still showed the items in stock. Then they had the gull to ask me for a review. So I posted on their website about how the order was cancelled and they took the review down. Claiming that their company does not approve of negative reviews.Be warned. The reviews on their website are all cherry picked. They will cancel your order even though the items say in stock, and even a day or so later still come up as listed as in stock. This place down right is not ethical and not professional. Will never order or buy anything from them ever again. Horrible experience.
