Only at Menards I found Bug Soother, a mosquito repellent that is natural, priced at $9.88 for an 8 oz. bottle and the 4 oz. is $5.99. I have found that this vanilla scented repellent is just as effective as the chemical stuff on the market. I highly recommend this product.
Im always at Menards for at least 2 hours, minimum. I can spend more than 2 hours there finding great deals on supplies for my DIYs.You can find just about anything that you need at Menards for a great price. I have a route established when I go to Menards; I visit the first aisle, which I call the power aisle. This is the very first aisle that features endcaps with sale items.Second, I visit the clearance aisle to look for deals. I then stock up on my paint supplies. Ill save you the rest. I really like this Menards because I find everything I need here. I hope that this helps you.
Quick stop to purchase striping paint for a wand. Inverted marking and striping paint may seem similar but the push to dispense systems are way different. Learned the hard way, on site after purchasing the wrong from Amazon! Menards to the rescue, the store had everything I needed as well as information on what system and paint is compatible. Thanks for saving me Time and Big Money at Menards!
Menards return policy is awful. Never shopping here again. Purchased supplies online and customer service is just plain incompetent. I provided an order number and they repeatedly said they couldnt do anything to return my items. I was returning a hundred dollars worth of surplus supplies and going to purchase over a thousand in new stuff. Awful experience. Never again.
This business used to be my favorite. But the rebate scam made me sour. I ordered heavy items online for curbside pickup because only this place had them in stock. When I got there they were brought to my car. The person who brought it over just set it down behind my vehicle and left. Im in my senior years and a small small framed woman. I spent the next 30 minutes loading the items onto my car. Shame on you men in this store. I dont think they even know the word chivalry. Ill stick to Lowes or HD thank you. And Menard charges a processing fee for pick up orders...... really? Youre not scamming your customs enough?
Usually igo to this store no problems in and out, I had gon not too long ago for a tool box, and i asked this employee about 6 ft talk named tony for help, he ignored me until I had repeated myself, then he proceeds to give me attitude while leading me to where I needed to go, overall bad experience even changed up my whole mood, I would expect better from your employees because this is the first time this has ever happened. Please take action
Menards is always a nice visit but many isles were blocked because staff had Ladders or carts and I had to turn around and go back. 5 times! It was a little excessive. Other isles I didnt bother with. The problem appeared to be because of the employees stocking and taking up their room in the middle of the isles rather than on side.
Menards is my favorite store to begin with. However on July 17th I visited the store in Cicero. I realized about a 1/2 hour later I left me wallet with over $300 cash. I called the store and they confirmed they had my wallet. I came to pick it up and everything was still there including the cash. God bless them.
They dont seem to honor the prices that the item is labeled with on the shelves. Workers putting items in wrong places is deceiving its even more deceiving when I had to walk back to point the price to fine several items not in the section there are supposed to be.. yet they said they could only take off a few dollars because it was an accident. I just thought that was odd if this was Walmart they would of apologized honored the price and properly priced the items.
Ive made several trips to this location over the last 4 months and every trip is a hit or miss. I purchased a large cabinet order a few months ago and my experience was horrible with the young lady working in that department around 9:30am on March 27th, 2021. The young lady had a horrible attitude, lacked listening skills, and messed up the order twice. It took them over an hour to fix her error. When delivery was finally set up, I had multiple pieces missing with a promise everything would be in within a few days. That didnt happen. It took over a month to receive the missing pieces in two separate orders. There was a significant communication barrier between the employees and and myself. Then I had to pay for another delivery, because the remaining cabinets couldnt fit in my car, which was something previously discussed with two employees before the part of the cab iij nets were delivered. It took me to call the store three times for someone to set up special orders for my missing cabinets and shelves. A very disappointing experience.
Today WERE the worst service.1. Pay 4 your order/s and then go back to pick up your stuff so I was waiting to SOMEONE to help or give me my things and surprise serve your self, so if you are planning to go to this store please ask for directions to find your stuff and take someone with you unless you want to walk like ..... everything was super bad.
I have a disability when I went into the store I went in through the front door thinking that I can get a cart to ride to the back of the store where they keep the drywall is kept then you have to get the receipt go outside the store right around to the back I only one car is allowed in the back someone was picking the drywall up for me they gave the person that was with me a hard time said that only one person could enter in to pick up the drywall . Such an experience for me today I havent had to deal with that in a long time.
Terrible customer service. I was waiting in the plumbing area for a driver to get a hot water heater down from a shelf for 45 mins. The employees assigned here called twice for help and no driver came so I had to leave empty handed. Never have this problem with Home Depot.
I am not really a hardware store person but I will go to Menards because they have decorative items that I buy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. I have yet to have an employee say I dont know to me which I love. Because if you work anywhere you should know whats going on even if its not your section.
We are in a pandemic, people should not be going into stores if they can avoid it. Menards should be serving its customers with free pickup, as Home Depot and all other stores are doing! I am done shopping at a store that charges me over a dollar per item that I order for pick up! This is outrageous and just gouging loyal customers during a time when nobody has extra money to spend. Shame on you Menards!
I give this place two stars. Why ? Because it is too many things. A furniture, grocery, outdoor, indoor, gardening and lumber. All laid out in some weird fashion. You end up looking all over for items. The workers (and not their fault). Are assigned to a certain location. So if you ask for help to find say, landscaping tools and supply. You will get. Walk that way, I really work in grocery. Or where will I find a hammer. I dont know i sell couches. Check with customer service.I feel like I am lost and left to try and decipher where things are.As a bonus, each store is laid out differently and some have two floors. So there is no constant. The only constant is that I wont go back after trying two stores.
Poor customer service in the store and when you order online. Can’t ever find anyone to help when in the store and when you do they have no clue what you’re talking about. Forget ordering from this location, they call you early around 6am to just hear them talking inappropriately until they realize you’ve answered the phone. They tell you they’ll give you 38min warning before arriving but only gave me 5min before arriving and if you explain to them that you thought you’d have more time they go ahead and say “so you want it or not?” Terrible experience, horrible customer service.
Nicely organized and a variety of everything, but the employees are no good if you ask them for help its like youre bothering them or theyre to busy to help. One time I noticed a spanish speaking guy asking two employees if they speak spanish and they acted like they didnt understand a few minutes earlier I heard them speaking spanish it was a young guy and a young lady, so I told the guy I would translate. I rather go to Home Depot.
I bought some pavers, the guys who helped us wasnt as helpful. I wouldnt go again because the company discontinued their military discount, not supporting military members does not fit well with my family. They are not losing out on money, they are losing out on military families who would shop there.
My boyfriend is a big fan of Menards so he got me into it and prefers it to Home Depot. I quite liked this location. I am the plant mom at work -Ive beautified my workplace with so many plants. I need to have a little nature when Im trapped in a building all day. I went to Menards to buy some new pots and I was really pleased with the selection. They had pretty pots for all kinds of decor / tastes. I found some really nice stuff! I would visit this location again based on my experience. I really liked the big selection!Special shout out to the outdoor plants section - crazy selection! We did our preliminary look and plan to buy a bunch to create a backyard jungle escape. Great selection of many beautiful flowers, little trees and overall greenery!
When asked for locating an item, one rep., ignored me; when I asked again, this guy points only in an area to go. When I got there I didnt see what I needed. Also, in the checkout line, I asked to have my receipt she yelled back at me, I gave you your receipts! Im a senior and her yelling at me was uncalled for. I will not show at this Menards going forward!
This Menards location is a hot mess. I needed only a few different types of lumber and it took over 3 hours to located half of them. I had dealt with 9 different employees, all of which didnt know where anything was located. Two of the employees blamed it on the renovations that were taking place, but given someone has to be moving stuff around the store this really shouldnt be an excuse.The employees at this location are very incompetent. It seems like a management and training issue, as many employees I interacted with didnt know how to use the resources at their hand without asking for help.I contacted management trying to provide feedback in regards to my horrible experience, but havent heard back from them. It doesnt surprise me, this just reinforces why the employees are so lazy and poorly trained at this location.Ive always loved Menards and have no grudge against them, but man oh man will I be staying away from this location. Id highly recommend going to the Clybourn store... avoid this store at all cost and you will be thankful you did.
Worst customer service experience ever!!! I was told this by a friend that Menards was nothing like Home Depot. I had to wonder around to find what I was looking for because associates only point you in the direction instead of assisting you. Associates are not knowledgable on things I needed and the back and forth with management and all I was trying to get was an understanding. I personally will not be going back. The sale that they may have had wasnt worth the hassle, Ill spend a little extra for the peace and great customer experience at other places.
Came in, was having trouble finding something and I asked this employee named tony, pretty tall and he gave me the worst attitude and the most disgusted look, and as a customer he made me feel like iwas bothering him although it shouldn’t be like that, talk to him about it
The terrible called and asked them to hold two items at the front desk for me. got there right as they were closing and they refuse to open the door. The manager didnt even come to speak to me. I thought Menards was supposed to be better than this, this not customer service and I am a manager as well.
Costumer service was horrible, could not find a price on my items , even though another employee was saying it was the same price I said, another employee said it 3 times more than what it was. And then he asked if I had a receipt from the previous purchase. Complete idiot. 🤬
I give it two starts because the store was nice and clean. This store has a huge loss prevention issue though. I went to go get some specialty nuts and went in their bolt and nut dept and its nothing but a joke, tons of open bags with stolen nuts or bolts and nothing where is should be. Did not find what i needed after looking for half an hour nor did anyone ask me if i needed help. I was also was looking for a 1/4 10mm Deep socket, found were the sockets were only to find a empty tag in its space because it had been stolen. Get your s**t together Menards.
My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help us with questions we had in the remodel of our bathroom. Not only was Luis (assistant manager plumbing) patient but he came with us to every department! Luis reminded us of product to get, that we otherwise would have forgotten! We couldn’t have asked for better customer service which is rare to find these days! .Menards you have a very valuable employee!! Thanks again Luis!!
I went to buy some plastic runner for my stairs and I found it at a very good price too, but there was no one to measure it and cut it. Even after they paged an associate we waited and I had to go find him cause he was cleaning around the flooring desk as if he didnt hear the call on the loud speaker all over the store. We get home and find out he gave us 4 different measurements so we had to trim to make the pieces look even. I just wish I wouldve noted his name.
Just rip offs,bought lawn and garden batteries for 39.99 two of them and I tried to exchange them at a closer Menards to my home and they said Id have to pay the difference because they charge 41.99 thats ridiculous! I have a reciept the batteries are faulty they dont work they are within the return time iv only had them for a month they are good to return until June ,22.2019 just ignorance thats actually theft of services they are supposed replace the items it even says it on the reciept I have! Does not matter what Menards you go to if you buy a faulty item they have to replace it no cost with reciept!
Greeted by getting smacked in the frontal earless elephant by the outdated metal rotating thingy... not cool. I needed a facet replaced and they didnt have it. Found it at Algor plumbing not far away. Store was ok, just have a hard time finding some items. But the staff was helpful sending me to the wrong isle. Unlike Lowes or Home Depot, no military discount here. But lots of 11% cash back offerings. I wish they would get rid of the nut crushers when you first enter the store.
I am only giving this place one star because it was nice and clean but customer service is garbage. I walked by 3 managers and 4 employees and not one person said hello or asked me if i needed help. Also when checking out the young girl at register acted like i was bothering her cuz i used her lane. I used to work at this menards and i can say first hand service has dropped off tremendously. Now the product i bought was garbage also. I was busted when i got home. Avoid this place and drive 5 minutes down the road to home depot or ace. Save yourself the trouble.
This location is horrible I visited this store on last Sunday to get some totes that were on sale I get there and the department head Juan stated they did not have these totes in stock matter of fact they were discontinued I asked the person at customer kathey to speak to the manager she did not I asked for the corporate number she gave me the wrong number after all that I called the store back and spoke with Jesus the asm he did absolutely nothing about the totes I wanted which keep in mind was only 50 cents difference and I only wanted two this is the worst store I have ever been too and every time I come in here it’s the same experience .
Management is insanely rude here. I asked to speak to a manager on the phone with an order issue - I hear the person on the phone tell the manager I want to talk to him, then in the background he replies, Just take a f***ing message, I dont want to talk to him! Great, thanks. Solid selection and front-end staff, horrible management.
Menard ripped me off I paid in cash 1,500 for a black stainless steel refrigerator and stove I waited a month for order.never received a call no email that my order had arrived...I paid 120.00 for delivery when delivered at my home the refrigerator had big dents in the back of it...the sides of the refrigerator was pulled out warded towards the back from top to bottom also there is a a large triangle shape size pushed in on one lower side of the refrigerator...the stove was stuck outside on the upper side... the manager of appliance and the store manager gave me the business (run around) did not replace nor would refund my money back ....the delivery men put big paint scratches on each lower side of the refrigerator..this store (for me) is a discriminated and delivery damage appliance...my first time business with Menard and for sure my last time...If you shop here you have my blessing..
Just got hung up on by an alleged front end manager by the name of Cathy if that was her real name. She was extremely rude and kept talking over me. I had called to confirm any employment vacancies for a friend who had been shopping there a couple of days ago and told me he saw a now hiring sign. Not quite sure what this ladies problem was. I was polite but I guess she didnt like that. Menards really needs to promote or hire better qualified people for management positions. I definitely wont be shopping here and I will make sure to tell my friends and family to stay far away from this location.
Fairly good size store, though some of the employees didnt seem to know where anything was. I asked for a particular item type and was told Its somewhere over there as she pointed and failed to give an aisle number--I had to find 2 other employees before I found what I needed.
Went in to buy a space heater with flame. Waited about 5 mins. for help and finally a girl walked by and paged someone for help on her walkie talkie. 14 mins. later a guy helped me. He was just walking by, he wasnt responding to the page. (so no one ever responded to the page) I know it was 14 mins. because I looked at the time on my cell phone. And the place was very empty, not busy at all! So I decided I would buy a heater that was $140. I told the guy who helped me if I could get a small marked down for all the time I had waited. He looked around and couldnt find someone in the area to ok it. He told me to go to the register and ask for the markdown there. I was asking if I could get it for $10 off. So, they page a mgr. over and he had such an ---hole attitude. I was speaking polite to him and he just says No. We dont compensate customers for their time. So, what if I had waited 30-45 mins? They are dedicated to service? But I waited 14 mins., after a page, for help and they dont care that you waited unnecessarily (place was basically empty). So the moral of the story: They dont care that a customer just waits, not being helped, and they lose a $130 sell. Not only are they rude (yeah, right. Dedicated to service. HA-HA) theyre not to smart either. I called corp. to voice my comment and they want you to mail a letter about it. They dont even want to talk to you about it. Anywhere else you could speak to someone at corp. level, not here. This store will be closing within 2 years! (todays date is: 11/13/14) Guarantee it! And remember me saying the place was empty? I think I know why! In two years they will not only be empty of customers, but of everything else as well.

2022-03-30Menards is the best store of its kind. The lumber at Menards is better than the other big box store of its kind. The employees are helpful. Menards usually has what I need. Menards does not offer installation so if you are a contractor you are not competing against them.

2022-06-10If you want good prices on tools, menards is the way to go. If you want higher quality brand tools, go home depot, but youll definitely pay for that. This location always seems to have everything in stock and doesnt see a lot of traffic. Its my go to for all my home projects.

2022-05-25Will always prefer this Menards over the Home Depot across the bridge. Menards customer service is kind and willing to help you. Even in the aisles the employees are willing to help or if they’re busy refer you to someone who can.

2022-06-02The store was clean. But it was really hard to find an associate and even harder to find a knowledgeable one. We were looking for a piece that showed in stock online and two of the people we showed it to didn’t know where it was and the third person showed us where it was but could I properly identify the piece. I ended up finding it myself but had I not looked really hard I would’ve left without the grill parts I came for.

2022-06-28I have not bought filters for a clean air machine in 6 mos., It is always the same a few boxes that have been opened by customers, they are never fully stocked, I mean for years, if I go to 2 other stores it is the same thing. Stock your filters please, to drive here and walk thru the store and they dont have what you want is discouraging, I could go to Walmart or a hood hardware rather than this big store----

2020-09-20I so enjoyed my trip to Menard’s. It’s like a toy store for the D-I-Yer.The lighting inside this place was SPECTACULAR!!!! It was lit up like a Christmas Tree. It was magical. I loved it.I’m not a home decorator or a person that relishes in all things home decorating and all that jazz. But with that being said, this store was a fun place for me to be. I loved walking through the aisles contemplating what I could do with the treasures I was happening upon.I couldn’t resist purchasing a few things, great marketing scheme on the part of the marketing department. Everything was properly placed.Checking out was a hybrid of self check out and cashier check out. You put your items on the belt, the cashier scans them, then you pay and bag your items.

2022-01-19I was there to buy some paint and other things. I arrived at the paint department had my 19 yr old son to help me. There was 2 female and 2 male associates i went to get the gallon I needed but wasnt able to find it. Took probably 3-4mins to go back and ask one of the associates, guess what, they were all gone! I took more than 15 mins, waiting for someone to come to the desk. There was 4 names on the monitor service desk and no one was there at least, when we needed them.An associate from a different dept had to look for another associate that had a radio so that this second one can page or call someone, really!! 15-20 mins, then one comes, tells me, give me a second, ill be with you goes directly to a customer that was on the phone, that was not in the paint dept, and was not there while i was waiting those mins, because I went thru all the isles around there and there was No one near.. wt... (this associate had two big rings in each hand) I was so mad that I forgot to get names.
