Meijer in other cities:
Must use app for MPerk sale prices, which are misleading prices on their shelves as they have general sale items and MPerk sale items. Ive had to give some items back to the employee when I checked out as I hadnt realized. Wouldnt it be great if we could just scan a barcode?
Facers are trying to hide the fact that they are not stocking several items at all by filling in the empty space, therefore making it very hard to find anything in this store. While asking customers to socially distance they put an employee less than 6 feet from the door and have them touch every cart.Lastly, what is the point of 6 slivers if you wont use more than 2? While I wait for 5 minutes for an employee whos not helping anyone?
Been in the line for 20 minutes already. I need assistance to buy something and there is not a single staff member to help me.Just one cashier open out of 26, rest are self serve. No wonder i hate coming to the store though i love the stuff they sell. I understand they need to cut hours but this is no way to have this huge store and just 2 cashiers between 32 registers
For the umpteen time, had to wait in a long line to checkout. There were only 3 registers open and 6 people deep. No respect for the customers time. In addition the store itself is always in deplorable conditions. It is obvious, nobody walks the store. Displays are a mess and unkept. This used to be my goto store, not any longer.
I use to work at this location and the management there is absolutely horrible and all they care about are themselves and when you tell them about something that’s going on with another employee or with a customer all they do is stand around and do absolutely nothing about it or if an employee is verbally harassing someone else or swearing at someone else there is nothing done to resolve the issues WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND WORKING AT THIS LOCATION
Do not shop here if you have mobility issues or otherwise need a motorized cart. I came here to shop today, a Wednesday evening, expecting no issues finding a motorized cart. I have bone-on-bone issues in my back, hip, and knees so I cant shop without one. I get there and a woman just took the last one. I asked my daughter to check the other side of the store - nothing. The greeter at the door was kind enough to do a quick search but also nothing. So I waited on the bench for a few minutes before I left to shop elsewhere. I honestly cannot believe there werent any carts on a relatively slow shopping night, so my guess is this store doesnt have more than 1 or 2. Its possible they didnt replace broken carts, not sure. All I know is there are insufficient motorized carts for demand which is terrible for people like me. Take heed!
Always clean and easy fast checkout. Parking is best on the pharmacy side as well as faster self check out!Its even better now because there no longer item limit at self checkout unless you go to the Express self checkout which has a 5 item limit. Very efficient for in and out putchases!
My order was placed on Tuesday (445916636). Credit card charged, email said order placed for pickup on Wednesday at 3pm. Item in stock when you order but not instock at pickup. Stop the lying emails! I ordered it ahead of time so I could pick it up for event. Dont trust this place. I can no longer trust Meijer stores. There not truthful at all.
Always liked this meijer. Never any problems. I like Mperks, it saves me money. I got $5 last visit. Also this store always has a good selection. I prefer their selection over the Walmart in this town which is always low stock or out of things. I especially prefer meijer for my daughter for her toddler needs, clothes and toy selection. Staffs always been friendly. Prices arent too bad and like I said, you can save when you sign up and use Mperks. Its worth it.
I bought steak from here and it was spoiled which is disgusting that they even have meat that quality on their shelves, but when I called to speak with someone in customer service they were extremely unprofessional and rude which seems like a majority of their staff now. I was told that it’s unlikely that the meat is spoiled because their meat is “cut fresh daily” which is obviously not the case. Just be careful what you buy here and hope you don’t have to deal with their staff if any issues arise.
Cashier acted kind of rude this afternoon. Really acted as if it was a bother that we were there checking out right before her lunch break (they told her to turn off her light but all our stuff was on the line already). Then she was tossing our stuff pretty harshly. It really felt like I was unwanted here as a customer. I have the name of the cashier, but I’m really hoping she was just having a bad day and didn’t mean to act so rudely.
Great experience shopping at Meijer today. Spoke to Rosalinda at the bakery and she was extremely helpful with my custom cake order. Keonna was the cashier who checked me out and pulled me from a long line to a new register. Great service from both of them today, clean store, found everything I needed, and a great price. Thanks Rosalinda and Keonna!
It is evident that this company doesnt care about their employees or their customers. The only thing that matters to Meijer is their bottom line. Marginally more expensive than Walmart, marginally better quality products than Walmart, marginally cleaner than Walmart, Id still rather go to Target. We shop here on occasion because its the closest store to our home. They will always have at least one type of whatever item you are looking for, but it will probably be more than youd like to pay. And if youre going to spend the money anyway, you might as well go to Target or Jewel. We ended up stopping here on Saturday night to pick up a few things for the 4th of July holiday party we were going to the next day. They had the self-checkout and two registers open. The night before a holiday. With more than 20 register lanes in the store, they only had two open the night before the holiday. The problem is they know people arent going to walk out once they reach the overcrowded checkout so they dont care how long they make people wait to check out. If you dont value how you spend your time or money, this is the store for you. Oh, and their rewards program is a joke. We spent $160 there Saturday night and the reward we earned was a $2 coupon to a future purchase. They use coupon rewards because they expire. Theyve figured out all the ways to make sure they make it look like theyre giving you a good deal, but theyre actually keeping as much money in their own pockets as they can. Im not naive. All companies are looking out for their bottom line. But there are companies that obviously take care of their employees and care about the customer experience (like Costco) and are very successful. I just cant respect any organization that doesnt respect the people who keep them in business.
It has been a while since I shopped at Meijer. Just not in my normal travel pattern. But I am going to change my shopping now. Great experience. Much better selection than Jewel. Better prices too. Many more items actually in stock at Meijer. Fantastic produce section. Plus beyond groceries they have a ton of other items from hardware to clothes. My checkout was really fast and the cashier was friendly. They had plenty of checkout lanes open and employees looking to help. Parking was easy too.
On the grocery side, Meijer beats Jewel on prices of condiments and dry groceries and have a better selection of products. Meijer is higher than Jewel on the prices of meats. The most frustrating thing about Meijer is that theyre often out of stock on basic staples, which goes back several years.
I lOveE Meijer its super high end for food lol, but no seriously they have everything Ive discovered new products I cannot live without, Ive been able to locate things that I cant find in other stores. Their food especially produce is very very fresh and the selection is amazing. They even have really cute clothing I buy my whole family cute pieces of clothes from here all the time. They carry health and beauty products Ive been having to order online, I miss 24 hours Meijer but I understand I used to have nights I couldnt sleep Id go to Meijer and get groceries and random cute stuff for the house and family while they were asleep 🤣😂 my husband would wake up like where did all of this stuff come from? I always say Santa 🤣🤣😂😂🤦🏾♀️🤫🤣😂
Made a quick stop for ice cream, K cup coffee, and soft drinks. Nice grocery store which is laid out well. No problem quickly finding what I was looking for. Self checkout is nice. Had no wait. Because of my mobility issues I used an electric cart that was properly charged and ready.
Shondra needs to work on her people skills. Apparently she was upset because they put a sign for 5.99 for a several bottles of soap that were $12. I asked to speak to a manager regarding I had a photo and she walked off with an attitude. I sent my son to get the coupons she used for my transaction since she ended it with no warning. She rudely tells him thank you sarcastically as she hands him my coupon. He had nothing to do with her attitude.
I really enjoy going to Meijer. Their selection of food, hardware, clothing, etc. is extensive. In fact, I like to think of Meijer as a store that Carries pretty much everything (allowing one-stop shopping). Many years ago, I was at Meijer and they were having a clearance on TV character actor bobble head dolls and I was able to all of the Three Stooges for $2/each. Every time I see these dolls (behind my basement bar), I think of Meijer.
I work retail, and I know in these times we are struggling to keep product on shelves. I was in there on Tuesday, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Each person was working their tails off to make sure they quickly put out the items they had recieved. THANK YOU to each and every one of the associates who are coming to work everyday, and taking great care of the customers who come into the store. I appreciate your dedication!
Senior Tuesdays and Thursdays at Meijer are a godsend! There arent a lot of people, everything is freshly stocked, and the store is clean. The prices are as good or better than any area grocery stores. Thanks to the employees for their service, and for their good mornings as you walk through the store. Stay safe out there!
Was just told by a worker I need to practice social distancing. I told her we live together and this is my 12yr old daughter. She responded with I don’t care what you do at home you’re in my store now so you will follow my rules here. My daughter wasn’t feeling good and we were looking for something for her to take and to get her personal products. Needless to say, we left the store and didn’t purchase anything. And to be honest I will do my best to avoid this location from now on. I told a gentleman as we were leaving and while he couldn’t do much, he apologized for her rude behavior. And that was appreciated. She was very rude and extremely uncalled for
This place is literally a world. It has everything... which can be overwhelming, specially when there’s rarely an employee to help you out.The fresh side of it is pure chaos. There’s no order whatsoever. You’ll find the same product in ten different areas. It’s confusing. It’s too high to see.
Rude poor customer service skills. Pregnant mother no one assisted me in purchasing all in one wireless printer SHOWN was not true purchase 200 dollar item in total I was inconvenience not happy about it I deserve a gift card or store credit they did not 🚫 have no help with lock so I had to carry it hurt my stomach bad to
Hard to get items from advertised sale, if I cant get there the day the sale starts they are usually out. They gave rainchecks but thats annoying. Only a couple price check kiosks are operational. Often have issues with prices at the register since sale tags are often left on shelves after sale, and general merchandise is unmarked. The sales are good if you can get them when you need them, and most of the employees are cordial.
I patronize this Meijer at least twice a week. I have never, ever had a bad experience here. The sale items seem to be abundant and the employees are always polite and helpful. One employee, Tim sees me coming into the store says Hello maam, make sure they call me when you check out.Being handicapped, this is reassuring to say the least. Tim usually takes my purchases and loads them into my car. I absolutely love this store!
Went in looking for the new Twilight book, Midnight Sun. Find the tag for it on the shelf but it was empty. Asked two employees for help and got the response that vendors take care of the books, we dont stock those ourselves. Like you cant even be bothered to check inventory? Ill take my money elsewhere.
I love Meijer delivery. They text you when they begin and if item or items arent available they text you and let you know if you want a substitute or anything else. I have even asked to get other things I forgot to order. Sometimes they even deliver earlier if you ask for faster service if available. Love it!!!
I was racially profile by a customer who came to checkout when I was 80% done with scanning my items and told the checkout clerk I was stealing, which was untrue. The clerk, Samantha F., then proceeded to check my bags and found my things thus far were in fact paid for. She took items out of my bags and refused to put those items back even after I asked multiple. I have shopped at this location for 2 years and to receive such prejudice and in humane customer service was appalling to. I have truly been traumatized by this experience and feel utterly uncomfortable shopping here. I feel even more uncomfortable for the other men and women of color who are subject to this type of treatment.
I went in for a scheduled Covid 19 shot. For an unknown reason I was not on their appointment schedule. As a result the Pharmacist had to come out, (who had NO personality) asked if I had an appointment and wanted to see proof. Thank God I had all texts to prove I had a legitimate appointment. I ask why and was told people were showing up with an appointment but did not get an official scheduled appointment ???. I then had to wait because their was vaccine lot number problems. Got it done. This was a bad experience.
Great convenient grocery store. Comparable prices but be very observant at the checkout to make sure prices come up what they are tagged. Try to go on Wednesday or Thursday to get discounted meats, veggies and fruits close to their expiration. I like the option to check myself out, I can monitor prices better and bag the way I want to.
The store is fine. However a 24 hour store that has a major set of doors close at 9pm?!?! Thats kind of ridiculous. I understand the reasoning of closing them at some point, but THAT early??? Im almost certain that it used to be later. PLEASE put a sign on the doors notifying customers of this BEFORE they close. Or advise the TWO greeters at the door to mention it to the shoppers coming in at 8:45pm. It would be easier to move my car if I wish BEFORE entering the store, than when I have bags of groceries to go and trek through the parking lot with (even with a cart). Or the best is when you walk past multiple employees while on your way to those doors with all of your shopping bags, and NOT ONE of them can mention that the doors are closed? 🤔😡😮 So aggravating. 24 hour convenience seems to come at a cost here more and more lately.
Its great to have a local all in one store thats 24 hours. Theyve got just about everything youd ever need, however I would advise staying clear of the self checkout lanes. It seems that 90% of transactions that happen there require assistance due to an error, and if its a busy time of day, itll be wayyyyy longer than if you had just gone through the normal checkout.
Tbis meijers has gone downhill, they never have anything on these shelves. Not even Cat food smh Ive been shopping at this one for 20 years but I think its time to go back to Jewel. Or meijers needs new managers sooooo many out of stock sticker all over the food section
I prefer Meijer over Target and Walmart, they all certainly address the same market segment. This store is typically clean and well organized and the staff typically friendly. Their self checkout is sometimes slow to react and I am a bit disappointed that they removed the self checkout lanes for many items. The product is also typically good and reasonably priced. More recently I had bad luck with their meat though. I found that meat on sale has been spoiled already the next day which was confirmed by a customer service person, thus make sure that the meat smells okay before cooking it.Update:Meijer has been on a rather down turn recently. I have already had rotten meat in my bags twice, and now I found out that you really have to pay attention to your receipt, as more expensive items have been entered into the register on fresh produce than purchased.
Monday October 19th I finally was able to go the store and “fill a cart” with whatever... myHusband dropped me off while he went to Home Depot.. as I walked into the store 3 people greeted me ! I left my madkIn Car ☹️ One of the workers gave me a new mask to wear❤️ Sure made by day out awesome... Thsnk you for being so concerned and helpfulCarol Blum
Knowledgeable sales and floor staff. Their plants in their floral area not bug, but very nice quality even in winter when you might want a green pick-me- up. Nice jewelry, produce dept. Over the top, fresh meat - great butchers (especially Ray whose smile perk you up ANY day!) Very clean store and managed well
I wish they would open the self check outs for cash already. Tired of the coin shortage signs ( excuses ) .Hate going in to buy 1 thing always having to use a C.C card. Could be kept cleaner out front. Maybe a smoking section in back or on the side for employees so they dont have to smoke out in front. Otherwise its ok.
I was just there about 15 minutes ago .Was in line checking out, and a lady named Rosseta c was checking me out in line and I pulled my groceries from the spin rack and she said dont do that when Im bagging, thought she might be having a bad day, so I mentioned this job could give you carpal tunnel. She said thats not the problem and looked at me, rude cashier, shop here every week, have to not go in her line again, leave your bad day at home, dont put it on the customer.
Enjoy the self checkout lanes and the friendly greeters when you come in and employees are pretty knowledgeable and helpful if you need help finding something. The reason for cutting two stars is because the management and upper level employees do a very poor job of making sure the store is stocked to meet the demands of their customers. I have come in multiple times only to find that they did not have what I was looking for in stock. This wouldnt be a problem if it happened occasionally, but Ive pretty much given up on this meijer ever correcting this problem. The store on boughton is way better at keeping things stocked and organized and would recommend that one if it isnt out of your way. Just my two cents.
I love Meijer specially the one in Baughton and Weber, lovely people great management always ready to help customer and they have super organic selection of pproducts.Good meat, vegetables and diary department to bad you gays dont carry Lobriola begets any more. Stay all in good condition and thank you for always having nice people at the door to welcome us Margaret Margaret W.
Bolingbrook seems to have 2 of many establishments on either side of town.... So this is known to my family as the West side Meijer. This store has a layout that is almost a mirrored copy of the East side store. Pharmacy is on the right, grocery on the left here. The product in the aisles are laid out differently in each store. Example: soda is at the back of the store here, but in the middle of the store at the other location.
VERY disappointed with the lack of customer service and the how unprofessional this store was after all the years of spending money with them. SAMANTHA F. and this location has a problem with profiling customers who are minorities and accusing them of shoplifting which us unacceptable to think after embarrassing theyre customer and realizing its a mistake on their part there was no empthay or protocol to make the situation right im so disappointed. Stop accusing customers of shoplifting when you are profiling thank you!.
I went through self checkout. When paying the register took my coins and didnt give me credit towards the total due. No one was around to help so I over paid for my items. Your prices are too high as it is, then I get over charged. I have always like your stores but within the last year things are not the same.
Great local grocery store. Always well staffed. Bakery, meat counter, fresh fruits & vegetables, clothes, auto, home & garden, clothes, shoes, toys, etc. Big box store and very competitively priced with Target or Walmart. They are so much more than a grocery store. If you only go for groceries, you are missing out! They have THE BEST season ending clearance sales. 50-75% off most times.
I have shopped at this store ever since it opened back in the mid 90s. It has a consistent problem. The store does not stock enough items, especially sale items. I have to get rainchecks on a regular basis. I have complained about this in the store numerous times, but nothing changes!
I actually do like this store I like the vast majority of products that are available I like the produce I like the meat market however the deli is slow Beyond slow. the fish market if they could only keep their lobster tank cleaning I would feel a little more decent its like its an effort to keep living things in a clean tank. the meat market however in The Butcher Shop Ive always gotten amazing service Ive always gotten asked if I needed help I just like their service but there are more limited as to what they have compared to the other stores and I dont like that its difficult to find out the expiration dates on the meat inside the cases. Especially the fresh bacon. The clothing departments always seem to be very oddly scattered intermingled and little disorganized and dirty. Hard lines are usually pretty good. Sometimes the clearance items and HBA leave a little something to be desired however not so sure with a million tiny little things that hbi I could do any better.I like the Meijer Stores I think its a good chain definitely worth the trip. I think the variety is well-thought-out very rarely do I need to go someplace else.
I live smack-dab in the middle of 2 Meijer stores. I cant decide which I like better, but I would rather shop for groceries here than almost anywhere. Their employees seem a little happier and more helpful than some of the other grocers. I feel like this is a good fit for our town.
I was doing some routine shopping to pick up a few items and noticed that there was some bounty paper towels eight rolls equals 12 , the regular price is $12.99 they had a sale sticker below the item stating the price was $9.99.Same thing happened at the seafood counter there was large raw shrimp regularly $9.99 there was a sale sticker on the glass stating that the shrimp was $8.99on sale , once the gentleman weigh the shrimp he stated that it’s not coming up for the sale price ,upon reviewing the sticker was from April 21 which was over a week ago. I do not have time to dicker the price at the customer service counter I needed to wrap things up and get home . my advice is to hire somebody to go through the store and remove those sale sticker from the items once the sale is over .👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Every time for the past month that I have been here, the sale items are gone! And I am not even coming on the last day of the sale! They need to have the foods/items on the shelves if they are in the paper and on sale. Its such an inconvenience that I have to go to a different store.
I would give 0.1 stars if I could. My car didn’t start in the parking lot so I went to customer service to see if they could ask someone or find someone by calling overhead if anyone could help me start my car with jump cables and they just laughed and said “I don’t know” with a face that said “why the hell are you asking me?” I know I could call a towing company but I was running late to work and still needed to run some errands so I really couldn’t wait that long and I didn’t want to stop every single person leaving the store asking if they could help me. The least they could’ve done is ask the employee next to them to see what they can do or if THEY THEMSELVES had a jump cable or knew anyone who did. Again, I know Meijer isn’t a car repair shop but still, laughing at a customer? I’ll think twice about shopping at Meijer again
Meijer is a nice store, most of everything you need in one stop. A bit similar to some other one stop shops though I think the quality is a bit better at Meijer and the store doesnt quite attract the people wearing pink tu-tus with 6 high heels that some of the competitors seem to.
I used to LOVE shopping here, but with the recent re-model they took out the unlimited self check out lanes. This is very frustrating for me, I being my own bags and like to bag my own groceries, plus I watch for mis-priced items. There are always huge lines in the regular check out lanes and the cashiers (who are very friendly) do not like when you bring your own bags. Have quick line self check outs on both ends is nice but I almost never leave the store without 20+ items. Now I shop at the meijer on the other side of town. Please put the unlimited lines back it. If theft is the problem then have the check-out staff stand nearby like the do now in the 15 or less lines. Dont punish everyone!
I love Meijer! However the one in Bolingbrook is not my normal store. It is a nice large store and very clean. However, it could use some work. I have been there a few times and it seems like products are not where they should be. If I didnt have the Meijer app on my phone certain things would have been difficult to find. Many normal products were sold out especially the ones that were on sale.
I love meijer but sometimes there sales just arent worth my 10-15 minute drive. The staff isnt always the most friendly and some take forever to ring you up. They also get a lot of rude customers. I love there 10 for $10 sale though. Sometimes I spend $40 or more just on those items. I wish they had that sale more often though. Also most of there stuff unless its on sale is cheaper at walmart.
Meijer is a complete store that has everything from grocery and pharmacy to clothing, shoes, sporting goods, toys, housewares, baby, florl, books, crafts, home, and fine jewelry. I know I missed something. If you want one stop shopping - this is the place. It is clean, well stocked, and there is plenty of help around.
Whenever I go to Meijer the produce is always fresh. They have really good baked items and a good meat selection. I like the food prices and they usually have very good deals on women clothing and accessories. I live very close to Tonys & Walmart but still drive to Meijer every weekend to do my shopping. Im hooked.
I was in love with Meijer when we first moved to the suburbs but over time I have realized that their produce is not on par with some of the other grocery stores. It is convenient as a one stop shop for everything and a good substitute for Walmart or poor persons Target.
The employees that work here are very rude. I have only been to Meijer a few times and each time I have had a bad experience. For example, I tried to acquire information about a particular product and the employee not only was unwilling to help me but also had a rude attitude. I would not recommend shopping at this location. The customer service was unsatisfactory.
UPDATE: newly remodeled, things are clean, you can see inside the store, and read the signs now. Would have changed to 5 stars, but they still gotta work on getting expired food of shelves. I just the other day a bottle of baby Rays sauce that expired nearly three years ago which if it werent for the obvious color change of bottle, someone could buy it and find out the hard way. Watch the expiry dates folks!Does the job. We nickname this one the poo Meijer... Not very clean and often times out of stuff. The one on boughton near 355 much cleaner and better facility.
Meijer Inc. (/ˈmaɪ.ər/) is a Midwesternregional American supercenter chain with its corporate headquarters in Walker, Michigan, in the Grand Rapids metropolitan area.[3][4]Founded in 1934 as a supermarket chain, Meijer is credited with pioneering the modern supercenter concept in 1962. About half of the companys 242 stores are located in Michigan, with additional locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Meijers is a very great supermarket. Mperks saves you alot, along with their credit card savings which even further extends on savings when you primarily shop here. Open all day and night which is great for night shoppers like me. Almost always theres good deals on electronics there, though its limited to what you can get there but they have most of what youd see for the electronics section in a super store.

2021-08-02I always find something new to try when I shop here. Today, I noticed the Cheddar Bacon Stuffed Chicken Breast and the Magnum Minis. Yum! I cant wait to try them.Theres lots of variety of fresh produce and the meats are always stocked. The store is neat and tidy. The restrooms are clean. The service is always good. I purchase deli meats and the employees are easy to talk to, real people without an attitude.Grateful that there are enough cashiers here who come to work even throughout the pandemic as essential workers. Its tough out there to keep morale high when your peers are often calling off or not showing up at all, but just know its happening everywhere. I know the lines can get long when its just a few lines open, but keep your chin up and keep the smiles going! You are appreciated! 😄

2022-04-24Clean store. Amazing selection of items. Their rotisserie chicken tastes great! My only problem was that they have cinnamon rolls with thick icing, which are my favorite. But other than that, the store is great!

2022-06-02A very large and well stocked store. You should be able to find just about anything you need. I find the prices to be a little high, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is very clean, and there is ample parking spaces.

2022-04-01Decent selection, average prices and department store/grocery convenience under one roof. Ample parking. App good for determining what store carries but not what aisle to find it in. Clean store, friendly cashers.

2019-07-12I swear you go to any or most Meijers and the staff even customers are friendly, especially this location! The store was clean and stocked up which was nice. We found exactly what we needed plus some extra treasures. We definitely will be back to this location in the future. Thank you!

2022-06-16Nice store nice employees but they dont have coffee mate creamer so l go to jewel and they have it there
