Extremely understaffed. They give the phrase fast food a totally new meaning!Order was prepared incorrectly twice in the same order.
I know the bar is low for all restaurants since COVID, but I received the worst food I’ve ever gotten from a McDonald’s tonight. Let me start of by saying that I don’t want or expect free food or a refund etc. but the chicken nuggets that I got from the drive through tonight were almost rubber that had obviously been sitting well past the time any food should sit in the warmer. I understand that it’s next to impossible to find good employees right now but the quality of food that I received was almost inedible. The owner of this McDonald’s in Decatur, IL really needs to evaluate the staff that they have running this location. If you can’t keep a responsible level of quality then close the doors.
Cant get you in and out quickly and they rarely get order correct if you order for more than 1 person.
For some reason, this location cannot seem to move the drive-thru line like every other location does. The one across town moves twice as fast!
Used the drive thru and was was really quick and very good group of employees working.

Not good asked for fresh fries and big mac no cheese and got over cooked fries that were not very warm and got cheese on it and 5xs the lettuce that should be on sandwich not very happy with the service and top it all off a door dash cut in line when we were already in line for 23min so I will not go back unless they do something about the way they do their service!!
Let me start by saying Im from Colorado and theyve set the bar pretty low there.This location however was staffed in entirety by people who visibly detested their jobs.This said, they *all* managed to maintain professionalism and act politely during the ordering process.Additionally, the order was executed flawlessly.We had 4 sandwiches, all of which were hot and fresh. The fries were perfectly crisp. The bread was warm and toasted, and no hint of being stale.**And**They managed to remember the side of pickles, all while being handled in under 4 minutes.I can handle a restaurant staffed by people who were unimpressed by their jobs if they can execute them well, any day of the week.As a customer I would say this was fine.My only negative thoughts would be the staff here probably deserve better pay.

The worst service I ever had at a fast food restaurant was at this location. My order was deleted off the screen so it was not filled. Then it was placed the second time it was not filled correctly. The owner (previous one from Champaign) told me that it was tough, they messed up his orders too. It was so bad I called McDonald’s corporate office to complain and the head of the Midwest region called me back. It was the last time I have eaten in a decatur mcdonalds
I was in and out of the drive thru very quickly.
Was displeased today- with ordering my Orea Shamrock McFlry (3.59)and it was not much in it. Drive-thru was busy so did want to complain and didnt want to get out in the cold to go in to complain. Add pictures so you be the judge.
I walked there and to my surprise the lobby was closed due to covid. I was getting a order replaced and my luck it would talk 12 minutes for the apple pie to cook. The manager allowed me into the lobby to sit and wait and have an ice cold coke while I waited.. much appreciated.. all the staff was very pleasant.. great experierience. Way to go West Side..

This is the one McDonalds location in town I try to avoid at all costs. It is the one that has the worst employees, and worst service to go with it. When I do settle for this location out of convenience to my travel route, it is a 50/50 chance if my order will be correct or if I get all the items ordered in my bag.
Theyre getting faster and more personable with each visit. Will return when I get the McDonalds craving.
Good was ok but order was wrong. Asked for map only. Special order ticket on box said mayo only, but it came with no mayo pickle onion and ketchup
I live out of town, they had my order wrong on the screen twice & other drive-thru line, had a lady telling them that their order wasnt rt on the screen either. I got to the pay window & dbl checked that they had rt order...after getting all the way home, they hadnt put my daughters 10pc nuggets in. To far to drive back, so her & my other daughter had to share. Luckily she got the 2 cheeseburger meal. I always check the bag but since I asked them & they said they had everything, I didnt this time. Really irritating, when this happens & you live outside of town. 👎👎
No breakfast at hotel so McD best no contact choice. Long drive thru line but move d well. Food was hot and fresh. Well be back next time in Decatur.
I’m so sick and tired of McDonalds they can’t never get nothing right. They repeat your order and they still can’t get it right l. I sat in line for 20mins waiting for my food. (Which was my fault I shouldn’t wait that long)I had placed my order and haven’t even made it to the window to pay. McDonald’s ordering service is terrible. It’s always something there.
I went around 10am and waited in line for about 10 minutes.. then a driver pulled up next to me but on the other side of drive thru with no wait was upsetting. I think the when you have both lanes open to order there should be only one way in verses skipping the whole line (probably 6 cars). Food was nice and hot. The employees are professional.
This McDonalds is close to everything but never gets orders right. Don’t waste your time or money because every time I go I always end up not getting something. Even when I go through the drive-thru again after only getting half my order the first time, they still leave out something. Take more time and go to the McDonalds on Pershing, they are more reliable and you won’t regret it.
Dont say your hours are past midnight if they’re not. Worst service I have ever received.

Rude and didn’t wanna give me a receiptEdit: went back because after I started to eat my meal I noticed they messed up on one of my sandwiches, I took it back and told them I needed a new order because all my food had gotten cold by the time I returned it. They gave me just a sandwich and refused to remake the rest of my food because they say I had ate some, after arguing I told them to just give the original food back, but they had threw it away and attempted to give me the food that had already been in the trash. After arguing they remade some of the food and gave it to me but it was a small fry (the original was a large) they claimed that’s all the fries I had gave them, after arguin again while the rest of the food was getting cold again, they finally gave me another fry, and rudely told me to start going somewhere else. after I wasted my time and gas. I wasn’t even hungry after the ordeal. They need new management and workers.

If I could give it zero stars I would customer service is horrendous. The workers that listen to the order dont listen or they dont care ive done order here twice in a week and both times they messed it up. A happy meal ended up bn a sad meal. Due to the cold fries, nuggets and no sauces or napkins in the bags. For a 20 piece nugget. We got 2 sauces n zero napkins. The chocolate milk was expired. N the unprofessionals gave us diet drinks.
I waited in the drive up for approximately 20 minutes. If I hadnt already committed so much time I would have pulled out of line. However, the employees were still polite. I wont be going there again for a long time.
Service is to slow and the food is always cold. Drive through takes forever. Sometimes we dont get everything we order. Its really sad how restaurants have changed since Covid hit this world. The food doesnt taste the same.
Very friendly staff and fast service. This is my favorite McDonalds location in town!I have to edit this: when I go for breakfast, the above is true. Any other time, who knows. I just took my daughter there for dinner and we didnt get all of what we ordered and the staff member who brought our food to us reeked of weed. I guess Ill just stick to breakfast here.
I normally dont like McDonalds and scoff my nose at going there due to being health-conscious, but the buttermilk chicken tenders are amazing. We used the drive-through, and our orders were taken promptly and we got our food promptly. My only complaint is that their credit card machine wasnt working and I dont normally carry cash, but I luckily had it that day. Everyone was friendly!
Such a lovely place, between the constant yelling from managers and employees, to the always some how messed up order, along with the slowest service ever, I dont know why I dont come back everyday!Like I understand this is fast food and you all dont want to try that hard, but seriously. I ordered a 2 cheeseburger meal plain, that means both cheesburgers should be plain right? Not one plain and one with no onion? We visit this McDonalds on a regular basis. Most often we go during lunch time and go through the drive through. It is a hit or miss on service in the drive through depending on the day and who is working the window. There are many kind workers there who try to get orders right and are friendly. Most of the time the orders are right. If for some reason they have been messed up, we call and the manager always makes it right.Many times this location will allow schools to do fundraisers where they serve for a night. This is a great way that they give back to their community.When visiting inside the restaurant, it has always been relatively clean and orderly. Most of the workers are friendly and kind. The restrooms are typically clean and available.There is not a play place at this location as the children would hope.The restaurant is easily found and accessible from the main road and the side road. The parking lot is a bit unconventional when you first pull in as there is parking immediately as well as drive through traffic. Other than that, the parking is easy to get to and get in to the restaurant.This McDonalds does offer the service where you can order your food from the car and they will bring it out. If you download the app, you can get coupons on your order as well.
The lady that took our money didnt say thank you didnt say have a nice day nothing. I thought they were supposed to be friendly but she wasnt. The guy that gave us our food was very polite and told us to have a good day. It took forever in the line so if you want some more fast dont go there that was on West Eldorado
Burnt coffee and couldnt get cream and sugar amounts right. Repeated 10 times and ended up just pulling up to window to order. Never again. Worst mcds ever! If no stars was an option Id choose that one.

So I went to west eldorado Mcdonalds Saturday September 1st around maybe 8:30-9 & the service was just horrible... first of all I sat in the drive thru for over 30 minutes & the line still wasn’t moving. So I thought it would be quicker for me to go into the lobby, they only had 2 workers in there which made the service worse. The rest of the crew was outside because there was an altercation & one of the employees were recording it. The manager she was white kinda short and had short black hair she was very rude. I don’t think she knew just because it was loud in the lobby that we couldn’t hear her cussing and I find that very unprofessional for her or him whatever it is toBe a manager. Then the drive through line was was into the street & the lobby was packed & still only 2 employees in the store trying to run the whole store, one was an adult with short hair and glasses & one was a teen with weaved in twist in her hair, they both were frustrated and trying there best to get the food to the customers, but the one with the glass had to keep going to make food because the young one didn’t know how to make it I guess. But they were doing the best they can I didn’t really expect them to move the whole store fast because they really didn’t have no help at all.So when the “Manager” & the rest of the crew finally decided to come back in and run the store, because they were so busy she stop taking orders. So I will not be back at the particular Mcdonalds it a very unprofessional, not a fast food at all, you leave only 2 employees to work a whole industry keep in mind ones a minor & while all this chaos is going on half of your staff is outside. YOU GUYS NEED TO DO BETTER!!!!!!!
Waited in drive thru for 20 minutes, finally was out turn, then another 15 minutes later we got to the window, they couldnt find our order! Then said obviously nobody took your order! Wanted us to go back around! Wont ever go here again!
It would be nice to order and not correct the order 3 times. Then to have a mocha frappe with a taste of strawberry. I do understand that they were backed up and near the end of a shift... and we have a governor who thinks this is worth 15 an hour... all raising minimum wage does is have the business raise their prices. But not in a long time has the poverty level raised. Still at 800
How hard can it be to make a plain, hot, whole milk latte! 3 out of 5 times they get the order wrong. Today was no exception. I ordered from my car and the person taking the order either couldnt hear or wasnt really listening. When I stated the order it wasnt correct on the screen and there was no response when I tried to correct it. I drove up to pay and of course that person had no clue what my order was. I drove further and the person told me to pull up and they would bring my hot latte to me. It did come 5 minutes later as a cold latte. Im giving up. Starbucks it is.
I went there the other day and the young lady was rude to me at the drive-thru so I didnt even pick up my food I just turned out and kept going
I ordered @ the window, the lady acted as if she couldnt hear me, so I spoke louder, she said ok I got it, I got it, but when I got to the window, she didnt have it. They need to teach some theyre workers how to talk to customers, with respect, were paying theyre Bills
Service was okay! Had to wait to place order about 2 minutes. No one was at counter. The area where they make coffee was dirty. Had coffee all over the area. One guy comes in from taking garbage out, and goes straight to working with food without washing his hands. I was looking to make sure he didnt make my sandwich.
It seems that every time I go there for lunch, something is messed up on my order and the wait is ridiculous. We tried to switch up and try dinner one night and the fries were cold and very little or no salt. Almost like the only salt came from sitting in the bin. My wife didnt get her extra pickles, and I got a single quarter pounder instead of a double. I would have went back but it was too busy and I had somewhere to be soon.

We like this Mcdonalds. The building is brand new and staff are pretty nice. Double drive through makes for quick service. Once they had me pull forward to wait for a smoothie, then they upgraded the size for free because of the delay.
I frequently ask for products that they have to make fresh and out of line....like breakfast or decaf coffee at 7 pm or 4 pm. They do their best to cooperate...I know that it puts the employee out but I appreciate the effort.... I do not have a functional home.... I do have pulmonary hypertension and decaf coffee keeps my heart rate below 120. The coffee lasts me 24 hours. So I thank you.
I love the food but every single time i go my order is wrong. Very annoying. Its not that hard to read an order or is it. And they want a raise. Just today. Ordered 2 sandwiches the same but got 2 different sandwiches. Sad

This particular venue has some serious issues. Most of it im sure lands on the managers shoulders. Horrible employee attitudes, almost as though the customers are interupting and bothering them by visiting to buy food. After you order there is usually something wrong be it missing/ wrong food or things at innapropriate temps cold fries burgers or warm or flat drinks. This one almost always had it wrong. 7 of my last 10 orders have been flat out wrong missing or wrong food. Do not recomend.
The cashier was leaning against the wall and didnt say anything except how much it was. Then I got our food and I need some sauce know one helped me ( there were three people that saw me standing there and they did nothing. Until I finally said something. The food was ok.
Well they stopped selling Diet Dr Pepper not good I rarely go to McDonalds now that my children have grown up ,but when I seen the Jr Mac I had to try it. Years ago when they came out with the mcdouble for a dollar my daughter would order it (special order ) add lettuce and Mac sauce no ketchup. She made her own Jr Mac ,but I will say the Jr Mac was bigger then other single burgers and it was good I sure missed my diet Dr. Pepper

Barely salted fries. An incredibly excessive amount of mayo as if they threw it on out of spite. Seemed as if they made food wrong (with onions when asked for none etc.) Still good, its a McDonalds yall know what to expect from any other mcdonalds. Floats around a high 3.

Not for sure how this place is even open. From the slowest drive-thru to never having an order right, I just dont understand. I go because its close to my house, but Im okay with driving 5 min away to another one. All new management need to be brought in.
I was satisfied they were really busy but fast I didnt wait long and my order was correct and fresh everything was really good for how busy they were and everyone had a positive attitude so I recommend them fast food with a great taste all flowing from a place where you will see a positive environment and plenty of smiles.

Memoriably HORRIBLE on the outrageous side of ridiculously HORRIBLE..waited for an advertised featured menu item, it got to the table so God damned hot,temperature hot it burned my mouth. I wish I could bring MCDONALDS into court for that. I got to have with my unbelievably over-heated FINGER FOOD , a fountain drink that was more syrup than drink.....its a personal comfort to me to know I will fight to the death before ever again having any dealings , of any kind or nature with MCDONALDS . It was very loud, which probably explains how they got little things wrong with my order. But the place was very clean, and an employee came around and kindly asked everyone how their meal was. A nice experience.
Over 15 min for a McChicken and small fry. Didn’t get cup when order finally came up and the managers response was “she should have already gave you one”...Order 829 this day this time.

I avoid this McDonalds at all costs, always seem to have a rude cashier, and no matter the time of day, its a rare occurrence to get through the drive thru in under 10 minutes. Also staff is super rude when you complain about not getting a food item that THEY forgot.

Mcdonalds on E.Eldorado in decatur ill. during evening time ..bad experience! Waited in reserved parking for 15 minutes just to realize that my sandwich was given to the car in reserve before me. A kid came to my car and asked me and offered me 2 apple pies...NO! Wrong order!I was displeases, got my refund and went to BurgerKing.
Food was good. I dont like the drive through setup. It allows people to button in line, and the people waiting in line block the parking spaces.
AT&T went down for almost 24 hours, i needed internet. the free WiFi here was easy to connect to and saved my games. also the quarter pounders are really good again.
Worst mcdonalds in decatur. They will mess up your order every time. You might as well go to the one by water street instead, thats what everyone at millikin does. Avoid this venue, you are better off going to the hardies down the street.

The service here has always been great since we moved to Decatur. The staff is very polite and helpful. The inside is always clean and the new renovations are amazing.
The chicken strips were HORRIBLE!! The breading on the chicken was very hard and crunchy. The meat itself was dry and tough. The fries were also overcooked. I wasted my money!
McDonalds West was a very nice and clean place. The people were nice and I took my time talking with a few of my co workers. No one bothered us about anything...
Very good food and nice staff. I always prefer to go there for quick cheap food and drink. McDonald’s is always my favourite place for quick bites and food.
Hard to communicate on drive up speaker system. Some confusion on the merge from speakers to drive up. Then had to wait in the wait zone for a McRib meal.
They got my food right but they really should put more than one extra pickle on when you ask for extra. I also wish that they wouldnt pile them all on top of each other.

Drive thru was horrible tonight customers were pulling off by the numbers. Took us 28 minutes to get a breakfast biscuit hashbrown and 2 mcdoubles.
It was ok until this lady outside the kept begging for money and kept hounding me about she wanted 7.00 and could I buy her some food. And came in with after I gave her money and started harassing other people.

They dont keep restrooms clean and toilet paper on the roll. Also looks like some people have been smoking in the bathroom, cause ashes in the little opening where the toilet covers go....... Been like this for a couple of weeks.......
They kept asking what my sister in law said multiple times even tho she was speaking loudly, acting like they were rushing us, took a while to give us our order, we still got ice in the drinks when we asked for no ice, and even made my big mac wrong (as in they didnt put the middle bun in between the patties but instead but all together on the bottom layer and then put the tip bun on top of the middle bun).
This is my favorite McDonalds...there drive through service is spot on. They rarely ever mess up an order and the lattes are awsome!

Repeated my order twice & they still got the burger wrong. The rest was pretty good.

Terrible drive thru service. Always dirty on the inside. The cleanest and most convenient thing about this McDs is the bathroom. Thats about it.

Unfortunately, the food from this location is less than expected. The fries are often overcooked or stale. Ice cream and cafe machines are frequently down.
Fries were cold and half full. Took them back and the Mgr. Was not very polite.
Some of the employees are rude and some customers come in without shoes and manager asked them to leave and they did not leave. So disappointed

The only thing acceptable about McDonalds is the price this location on Eldorado Street in Decatur Illinois its got to be one of the worst establishments Ive ever eaten at its on my way home from work so I stopped there quite frequently quite a few times Ive drove off without getting my food due to the lack of respect the employees have for customers and the shoddy service

2022-03-28Easily the very worst experience I’ve ever had at any McDonald’s. Extremely long wait in the drive through, they were busy so no biggie in my opinion. Order my food and the woman taking my order was very unfriendly. Arrive at the first window and pay, she hands me back my card and as I’m saying thank you just closes the window on me. Next window I receive my food and get an equally rude treatment from that employee. Get back to my hotel and my “Crispy Chicken sandwich” is burnt, it was so dark I initially thought they’d accidentally given me the spicy chicken sandwich. Chicken was burnt and so dried out it was inedible, my fries appeared to have black pepper on them which was odd. I know times are tough for the service industry and I’m a very patient, tolerant person but this was beyond the pale. Absolutely terrible experience all the way around and I’d recommend that everyone avoid this location.

2022-03-19They always get the order wrong no matter what it is. On 3/19/2022 at 12:45 I went through the drive-thru why. The man taking my order was rude, would not let me repeat my order back. The lady at the pay window would not talk, the guy at the food window was rude and told me to pull up to window 3 which already had 3 cars there waiting. So after about 25 minutes I finally got my order from another rude man. I ordered a shamrock shake and a #3 nothing complicated at all. So why did I get the wrong soda and wait so long? Man, I think this the last time I will go there.

2022-06-21Chicken nuggets were not hot and seemed like they had been sitting in the warmer awhile. They also would not honer my mobile order and my kids had to pay when they picked up food which I had paid already on the app bc they said my phone wasnt near restaurant but I ordered and paid for food on app and sent my kids to pick it up whats the big deal? Why cant someone pick up a paid for order ? They canceled online so I only paid once but then they had to wait for cold food I dont understand fix that on ur app please

2021-05-17My so called deluxe chicken was more like 3 day old burnt bun with dried up bottom of the grease vat rubber chicken fried up in some nasty grease that aint been cleaned or changed all week....wow!! McDonalds is usually on their game better than this. 😬😒

2022-06-16First time I have been to this McDonalds, I usually order lg Fry and a sundae cup full with tartar sauce. I pay extra for the tartar sauce $2.00, its usually I get a a full size. But the mgr was racist and only filled it not even halfway. The mgr was black and he doesnt like white people. I wont go back to that McDonalds ever again.. there are racist out there so dont go to this McDonalds..

2022-07-06Still going strong, minor mistakes, less poor attitudes from staff. Best it has been in my entire life. Have went to this McDonalds for 20 + years.UPDATE for now: service has gotten better over the last 3 months. Way less mistakes, and staff is more respectful now. I believe a new manager is the reason.I will leave a prior review. If service stays the same, I will return and delete the old one.. and increase to 5 stars. Keep up the good work.People leaving 5 stars must have not went to this McDonalds often. 8/10 times something is wrong. Tonight I waited in 1 of 2 of the drive thru lines while 7 cars went through the other line. I said hello 3 times over 5 minutes. No response...after I said is anyone f....g there, someone says you dont have to curse sir. Yes that was my mistake...but over 20 years, this place cant get right. I only go here because it is close to home. For now on I will take the extra 10 minutes to drive somewhere else. Until us as the consumers step up and quit giving our money, they will continue to hire sub par help, and fail to train their employees. Same manager has been there since I was a teenager. I guess no one really cares about being polite or giving good service anymore. 100% will never return to this place.

2022-06-04Good clean restaurant, I eat here often as it’s close to my residence and you can’t beat some of fathers rewards deals you get through their app…4/5 stars because sometimes the crew members act as if they don’t want to be there…which hey I get it…but it’s a job…put that fake smile on!

2022-04-26Food was typical McD, nothing special. The nice thing is they have kiosks so you can browse and order your food on your own. There are 4 kiosks plus the cashier.
