Absolutely delicious. Would have taken a picture of the rolls, but they were gone in a moments notice. Been a family favorite spot for sushi takeout for years and that’s not gonna change any time soon. A major thank you to the owners for the quality and great taste!

We saw this place long time ago and never try it because this place is hidden! First time try it. This is not a place for dining in but you can if you want it. More likely Togo sushi. We ordered spicy tuna roll, skin salmon roll, and smoked salmon roll. The price is standard but the portion, the meat were right size and it taste really good! Its better than any other sushi restaurants around buffalo Grove. Ill be back to try other sushi and nigiri. The owner really nice and the chef is real Japanese. Worth it to try!
I love everything about this place! The food is top tier! The owners are so nice every time I see them! They have a couple of tables to dine in but it’s mostly a take out place. I would highly recommend to anyone to check out this no frills, super tasty sushi spot.
Cheap and good quality sushi! 🤤🤤🤤 My husband and I had a discussion while eating our sashimi platter and said we would drive back here if were ever in the area because the sashimi is just that good and the price is even better (were from central Wisconsin and are big foodie people.)

Simply the best! Nothing fancy about this place, not the decor, nor the sushi. You can only make sushi so good! A piece of sushi is a piece of sushi. Sushi is all about the freshness and the quality of the ingredients. With that said, they make it good and they make it right! They use fresh ingredients and are always consistent. Not to mention the affordability. This is the only place that I dont feel bad after splurging on a sushi meal because I didnt have to break the bank to have it.
I can say this is the best sushi that I have ever tasted in US. Especially recommend Bamboo roll and Ocean roll👍👍👍

I love this sushi restaurant. Its perfect for take out and they have some tables there in case you just cant wait until you get home. This is a family owned business and they are all so sweet and kind. The sushi is excellent. My mom and I have been coming to this restaurant for years!
So, up front, one thing to know about this place is that its not really a dine-in experience. They have two or three tables in the establishment, and if you choose to eat in they will offer the most lovely and warm experience they can. However, youre not going to get much out of the ambiance if you catch my drift. My significant other and I stopped here on a whim, weary and starving after spending a day unpacking from our move. I will be going back, but probably for carryout next time.What you will get here, in spades, is a great experience. The only two employees here are the older married couple who own and operate the restaurant, and they will gladly share their experience with you should you decide to listen.Thats not mentioning the food, which I will mention now is fantastic. We spent a reasonable amount on a selection of rolls and were impressed with what we got. The portions are okay for the price, but the quality is where it really stands out. We got 4 raw fish rolls (tuna, salmon, spicy salmon, and yellowfish) and one tempura shrimp roll. It took about 20 minutes from order to food-on-the-table and boy was it good.Ive been to a lot of fancy places with all of the pomp-and-circumstance, drapery, decor, etc. and they served good sushi. The stuff here is easily among the best Ive had in my life.Do yourself a favor and stop by the sit down once - you wont regret it.
A seriously good, non-frills restaurant. You are getting really fresh and good quality fish for a great price. Just 4 tables inside, simple; the food is the star here. If you do decide to dine vs carry out, the service was exceptional.
Masas Sushi may be a small restaurant but they have some of the freshest tasting sushi around. If you do not know how to tell good from bad sushi, ask them about the rice and how you can tell. I have gone here for years and never had something I did not like.
I just moved out to Buffalo Grove and found my new sushi home! What a lovely and family place with an amazing chef of 35+ years! The price and quality of the product is unbeatable. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Awesome quality and reasonable prices. Small no frills restaurant that does primarily take out but has about 10 seats for dine in. Chef Masa is from Japan and has been a sushi chef for over 35 yrs, everything is fresh and recipes are authentic.
Its a small whole in the wall with great sushi. When i frist pulled into the shopping center it was hard to find. Its right next to the gedonlds. Walked on it was very small 4 tables max. They do a large take out business. Lady greated us and walked us thorough the menu. I got the madas special 1 and ot dod not disappoint fresh tasting and thock cut of fish. Serves was outstanding!. They also offer other classic Japanese food options.
Food was good but not what I was expecting for Japanese. I order hibatchi chicken with fried rice expecting to get that and add some shrimp sauce.I got white rice, chicken and they don’t have shrimp sauce and that was a HUGE disappointment to me. Also the chicken and rice had a lot of onions, never have seen that on hibatchi like this before. Overall food was pretty good, people were nice.
Expensive, Average quality, Small portion!!! You would expect average portion served in a small neighborhood restaurant as this one. But no. I ordered noddle/soba. The taste was so so, and the portion offered was embarrassing. Try if you want to find the same Surprise I had.
Great value, food, and staff. Visited it after spending time with my son next door at new play space. I was hungry and bought a few items figuring I could eat it while my son played, but hadnt realized I couldnt bring outside food into the play space. Went back with my son to Masa and he was a bit bored and was going to get him some chocolate crackers so he could eat something and the super nice owner gave me them for free as she understood the situation enabling me and my son to avoid having to go to the register and slide a card for 2 dollars. Will definitely be back. Moving to area, hope they do ubereats or postmates or something.
Its a very small family owned place, but they are very friendly and the food is always fresh and tastes great!
Good sushi and dons hidden inside the a strip mall. I recommend take-out as the food is freshly made and can take a while to prepare. There are a handful of tables if needed.
I eat in this spot a lot since I work in the area. I love how their customer service is always fantastic and they keep the place clean constantly. Pricing is reasonable and they serve sizeable portions.

2022-06-11When walking in, another customer shouted out, they have the best sushi in the area. That’s how you know this place is good. The food here is delicious. Got the fish spring roll and tuna seaweed roll. Will definitely be back.

2022-01-12I usually eat sushi because I like it. And I think this store is the best sushi restaurant Ive ever had in Chicago. It is not the interior of an authentic Japanese restaurant. However, it has a better taste than traditional Japanese restaurants. Tuna, in particular, is thawed while maintaining its softness and savoryness that is good to eat. If you go here and eat tuna sushi, you will experience tuna melting in your mouth. This is a secret restaurant that only people who really know know know.

2022-04-26Masa is my most favorite sushi in BUffalo Grove. It is unassuming and not fancy. The space is small and take out is best.The sushi is fresh and delicious. Their spicy sauce is spicy. They use a good proportion of rice and fish. They have my favorite spicy tuna seaweed salad bowl. It’s my special treat for myself when I’m feeling down or need a pick me up.The wife and husband duo are adorable and always so nice.

2019-12-15The sushi was good. The place is kind of cold though because of the winter time and they dont have a heater really where the dining tables are. Its pretty cold when someone walks through the door and youre sitting at the tables. They dont have a big variety of vegetable rolls though for people who do not eat meat or fish. But the staff is really nice and friendly.
