It’s not good at all since we asked for someone to help us but they never came… we asked workers to come and they would start saying a worker will come and help, but no one ever came… we even were asked by the security “if everything is okay” and we said “no” since no one came to help and he even said he will get someone to help us, but guess what no one came… So we left they even said on the intercom for someone to come and help us, but of course no one came :/
As an update to my last review Lowe’s still hasn’t given us our lawnmower it is going on over a month and they keep coming up with petty excuses saying we’ll have a shipment in in a couple days we will call you and never seems to call but always says another date the lawnmower will be in as in to try to hush us up well guess what we are now we’re going to the better business Bureau And calling corporate we will no longer buy things from Lowe’s
Placed an online order for a lawnmower to be delivered to my residence. Its been a week since my order was supposed to come every time i call they tell me another department is going to call me the next day. I tried calling again today and the woman put me on hold and waited till closing time to hang up on me.
Always find some hidden treasures at this location. I did purchase an air freshener that was half full lol..but I wont knock them for it. Cashiers werent too friendly..but the guy that helped me in the Xmas tree area made up for them. He was amazing!! Shout out to the tall guy w the piercings!
Picked up a dishwasher at 8:00 am on a Sunday, and the women working curbside pickup/customer service were... Ridiculously nice and energetic for a Sunday morning. It was such a great, efficient experience. I bought the dishwasher the day before, and it was waiting on a pallet, ready to go. In and out in 3 minutes, with smiles as well. I dont know how everyone was so chipper.... Does lowes give away free coffee on Sundays?!? I will definitely return to the store on Cicero!
I like shopping a Lowes, but Im extremely disappointed that they only have self checkout. The last few times thats the only choice to pay. We need to elimanate self checkout and put more people back to work. Other than that I like the selection, the organization and the employees are very helpful.
Spring Time is here and with that being said, I had to go to my favorite store. I being searching for outdoors pavement to enhance my garden and I found a variation of floors for the outdoor. What I never thought is finding a lot of precut woods so to all my diy wood crafters, Lowes seems to have a variations of pre-cuts. Overall, experience was great the flooring representatives are also very nice and more than willing to help with small and large projects. They have a decent amount of staff just in case you need something. I hope you get the same experience that I got and keep coming back to this location😊
Horrible experience, avoid shopping for appliances at Lowe’s store #2304! My husband and I got our appliances here because they were the only store in the area that had what we wanted in stock, now I see why. We purchased a Samsung stove and fridge on 11/20/20, they delivered on November 22nd as promised. The fridge had a dent on the front left door, the delivery men insisted we keep it and get money back for the damage my husband told them he would think about it and singed on the fridge noting it was damaged. He then went to the store and explained what happened they told him they could only refund him $100.00 for the dent of a brand new over 1,000 dollar fridge what a joke from this big company. My husband told them they could take the fridge back in that case and they brought us a new one on 11/27/20 you guessed it still damaged two gashes on the side and they haven’t refunded him anything for it & we have no choice but to keep it since we need to move in already. Do not shop here!!!The 1st delivery staff did not wear masks while we did, that was very unprofessional as well.
Yes every time I go to Lowes for whatever it is Im going to be needing they always have it their customer service is great I get what I want and what I like even more is Im veteran so I get a veterans discount over there too so Im very very happy thats the only place I go I dont go to Home Depot I always go to Lowes
Youre right, there is no excuse. This is what I was told by the manager when my tub did not arrive. I was sent order and delivery confirmations, hired a plumber, and took the afternoon off work, and spent 57 minutes on hold. Tell me Im wrong; Lowes. Never again - just an update; the next day I spent 40 mins on hold after they sent the wrong tub. Taking off work for the third day in a row. Still no tub . Absolutely terrible experience. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Day 3 still no tub and no refund!Day 4, got charged $425. Refund to be processed within 10 days. You cant make this kind of stuff up. I would be ashamed to work there
Bought washer and dryer from here. The washer had to be returned twice and dryer once!! This location is ok but the way the store is run must be an issue as we bought BRAND NEW IN THE BOX appliances, or we thought but Im convinced these items had been previously returned.Will NEVER deal with this location again!
If I could give no stairs I would to the cabinet/ kitchen specialist lasy lady. I called the store today and was told that no appointment was needed to talk to a “kitchen specialist”. Turns out that the “kitchen/cabinet specialist” is just worried about her nails and was very rude. She asked when I was available to sit with her, and I said “right now” and she said she couldn’t. Then asked another day I could, I said “tomorrow” and she replays “I can’t tomorrow”. What in earth are you asking me when I can then??? It all in a very rude way, as if I was asking her the favor of the year. Lady, if you don’t wanna work, then leave the job for someone else. Was much better assisted at Home Depot.
Awful. Employees directed me to each other and kept answering I dont know to questions until finally calling to find out if they install bathtubs. Then saying the person who could better answer any further questions didnt start until an hour from them. Self checkout was the only option and they machines didnt work. Cashiers didnt acknowledge the customers that were trying to get help. Walked out without any purchase.
I visit the Garden and patio area. Good selection of plants. If you look at the back you will find plants that are not in their best shape but with a good rebate. I have picked up some of them and bring them back to life easily at home. Prices are ok in plants and accessories for the yards. I actually got a couple of nice metal Garden Trellis for my clematis.
We were about to purchase a plant for our grandmother. We were stopped from switching the color pot to one that would suit her decor. Its the same plant, same price so why stop us from choosing the color of the pot. The sales associate said it doesn’t matter. She was rude to say the least. So we walked out without purchasing the other items. Well reframe from purchasing at this location.
The checkout clerk did not tell me my gift card had a balance. When I got home and realized, I called customer service. I was put on hold for over 20 minutes 5 times. Three times I got disconnected. I was told a manager would call me no manager called me. It doesnt appear that anyone in customer service has been trained how to talk to people and communicate what is going on
I am ONLY giving one start because I have to in order to post. They deserve zero stars. Their fence installation is a a huge scam! We had an installer (Joseph Lussa) come out in May 2021 to give an estimate to have a fence installed. He emails us our estimate 1 week later and told us we needed to respond and pay within 3 days to lock in our price.(since the cost of wood was rising) This was in May of 2021, we have now entered into October, 5 months later. I still do not have a fence. In fact, I havent heard from a single person! I have texted, called and emailed the person that came out and gave an estimate. Nothing, no return calls, texts or emails. I have called Lowes numerous times, left several messages. Nothing, no response to anything. I did receive an email from a Jason Schilling on 7/27/2021 asking us for a Plat of Survey for our property. Which means, Lowes had not even applied for a permit yet! Not only did they not applied for a permit, but the plat of Survey that was given to the estimator by us, was lost? Jason Schilling then emails 3 days later and stated he found the play of survey. Weird and yet convenient for him. He stated he was in the hospital and that is why it has taken so long. Is he the only installer @ Lowes? Does no one cover him while he is out? Here we are, another month has past and still nothing! I did receive a call from a company that wanted to drop off our wood on my front lawn. We did refuse that seeing as Lowes clearly does not have a plan as to when my fence will be installed. And I have no interest in having wood sitting in my driveway or on my lawn. I paid for a fence and installation. Lowes is certainly not paying me for storage. I contacted the Western Springs village to see if a permit was even applied for. The permit was applied for on 8/9/2021. It was approved on 8/18/2021. It was paid for by a Jose Cervantes of Premier Fence on 9/1/2021. And yet, as of today I have heard nothing and still do not have a fence. I finally contacted Lowes CC to dispute the charge. Why would I pay for something I do not have. And still, no call from anyone. I did get another contract emailed to me for my signature to start this process all over. That was almost laughable. The new contract has new dates, so Lowes would look like they installed in a timely fashion I suppose. Do NOT do business with them. That is unless you have money to blow on something you will never get. I will be also be contacting the better business bureau in an attempt to resolve this since Lowes cannot.
My Mother ordered lumber for fencing it took over a month . there was a manager who told her he would take off $100.00 for the long wait and he never took the money off the people in the store gave her the run around she spent over $1,300 dollars for fencing thats not how you treat anyone they never once called her or kept her informed on anything she always had to call or come to the store to check and see when the lumber came in .So we came to see if the material was in and it was She had to inquire about the material which the Manager should have called to let her know .However We were right there to tell the Manager about her order he looked up the order and said oh yeah the lumber came in this morning . But No one called. The service was terrible 😕.The way she feel she doesnt want to shop at Lowes anymore TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED REMEMBER YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible customer service and understaffed, don’t come here if you’re looking for anything fast. Me and my family were looking for cameras and before we purchased any, we just wanted to ask a few questions. They called for customer service at our aisle for 15 minutes and nobody came. Went to the customer service desk for assistance if they could tell someone to go to Aisle 8 to help us out a bit, and I sympathized with them and told them we know they are a little understaffed, but we needed help so we could install them at home right away. Called once more, nobody came. We left and went to Menards instead.
The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever endured. Associates were not helpful at proving any information even regarding their own stock. They even avoid eye contact at any customers walking by. Beware when coming here and hopefully you don’t need any help from the employees here.
I had an order delivery of multiple refrigerators and stoves. After my original delivery was late 2 hours. They showed up with only 3 stoves and were not told to hook them up like they were paid to do. After numerous attempts to call the store. I reached a manager Matt who said he would take care of it. The next day I never received a call from him and was told he would be gone for a week. After two days of calling and never receiving a follow up I went up to the store to get this issue resolved. I was luckily able to find an assistant manager of appliances that was willing to help me. Unless you are getting a light bulb try to avoid ordering anything from Cicero Lowes.
We asked for help in the gas lines area and no one ever came so we just ended up leaving. Help was caked through the intercom but never showed waited for about 10-20 mins. Plenty of employees passed us by but no one offered to help except the lady that used the intercom to ask for help. Thank you, but if there isn’t enough employees to help why offer it if no one is going to help the customer.
They screwed up my order, which was a shower glass door to be delivered to home. They kept pushing my delivery date without notifying me, and when it was finally delivered, I received the wrong one. After a few phone calls, they reassured me that I would get it first thing the following morning, and as a courtesy they refunded me the delivery fee. When I called early the next morning to confirm the delivery, they had no idea what I was talking about, and they did not have a scheduled delivery for me. I was on that call for about 55 min, mainly on hold, until they unexpectedly hung up on me with no explanation or answer for me. So I called again, asked for the store manager, who apologized and rescheduled the delivery, and also said that they would send me a gift hard for the trouble. This was about a month ago, and here I am, still waiting on the gift card, after purchasing ANOTHER shower glass door (for my other bathroom), which was just delivered and the delivery team decided to leave OUTSIDE of my house instead of bringing inside my home. I thought thats what I paid for?? This Lowes has great items, but unfortunately has terrible customer service.
Oh how I love home depot. Lowes keeps disappointing me every single time I go to any location in any neighborhood. The lack of customer service is appalling in this day and age. Every single time I go to a Lowes I lose a few hairs and I gain a few gray hairs. Today for example the line to return something was very long and not very helpful. Then I had questions on the interior doors they had it took about 15 minutes until I had to go up again and request for help. Lastly there was not one single cashier open. Only self checkout. The computers were giving me issues and giving the assistant issues as well.
I went in there today to look for a clearance item (it was a 6ft featherlight ladder) their system said they had 4 in stock but they somehow couldn’t find one. I was told by a customer service rep that “they must had been stolen.” I am not sure how does a big name store like that could let 4, 6ft ladders walk out of their store. I ended up finding one of them sitting in the back and when I asked them they claimed it was for an online pick up which clearance items aren’t sold online only in store.
Purchased a riding lawnmower it was delivered today, the lawnmower did start, rust all around the wheels, dead battery was dead the manual appears to be waterlogged. Spent 45 minutes on hold to be told a replacement would be sent 9 months who in the right mind would want to wait that long thank God for 30 day return warranty otherwise we would be out $2K dollars. Shame on you Lowes for sending a broken product and not offer a immediate replacement. I highly recommend no one shop at Lowes.
I purchased a fence back in April. The sales guy was very nice, knowledge, and straight forward. I decided to go with Lowes after speaking with at least half a dozen companies because of this even though I received other quotes in the same price range. Pretty much immediately after I signed the contract, the level of customer service dropped off severely. I was told I would hear back within a few weeks to confirm that the permit was received and then we could move forward with scheduling an instillation date. I was told by sales that they should be able to lock down a date very quickly as they didnt have any product shortage. 2-3 weeks pass and I havent received a call so I reached out to the instillation team to get an update however I was told they were still waiting on the permit. I called a week later and was told the same thing. A week after that, I called my village who confirmed that the permit was picked up over 2 weeks ago. I called instillation again and they finally say they have the permit on file and we schedule 6/8/21 for instillation with products being dropped off the day before (a little later than I hoped but assumed they were just backed up given the season).Today (6/7/21) I got a call from the fencing company (Premier Fencing) to confirm that I received the material and I was good to go with instillation. I informed them that I had not received the material and was told I would get a call from the store about the time of day to drop everything off. because I had not yet received this call, I was told to contact the instillation team. I do so and I get put on hold as instillation called the specific store for clarification. I was then told that June 8th was just a tentative date (this was never once mentioned as a tentative date and I had confirmed the date multiple times with instillation and Premier Fencing) and that the official date was the 18th. I then became the middle man and had to intermediate between instillation, the store, and premier fencing and was only given the explanation that someone must have manually changed the delivery date to the 18th even though Premier Fencing said they still show on their end that it showed the 7th (and they stated they have a shared system). After speaking to a minimum of 6 people I rescheduled delivery for June 29th and instillation for June 30th. I was also told to make sure to follow up if I dont get a call by the 28th to confirm delivery... right....Hopefully the fence comes and it is of high quality however given the incredibly poor customer service I have received as soon as the contract was signed, will make it impossible for me to recommend Lowes to anyone for such a project.
Absurdly terrible customer service. On delivery day, a week after ordering an appliance, nothing was delivered. I had to reach out to Lowes to find out that my order was canceled by associates Anna and Rodrigo. I never received one courtesy call from Lowes neither the slightest attempt to rectify the situation.
People working in the return department are very inexperienced and dont seem to no what they are doing or their companies policy. I spen 2 1/2 hour here in 2 consecutive day try to return a pressure washer and purchase another one and it still did not happen. I will not be shopping at Lowes again.
Update 6/21: still dealing with this Lowes being crooks. They tell Lowes customer service they shipped the items, but even Lowes shipping/FedEx says they never picked up the order. The order shipping label was created but never sent. I asked for a refund months ago and still havent received one. Supposedly customer service turned in a refund request for lost in shipping/never received but have yet to see anything. Worst Lowes to deal with.Original Review: One of the worst experiences with Lowes Ive ever had. Trying to figure out an online order and they are not interested in correcting the issue. Items ordered over 2 weeks ago, still sitting in store not even pulled yet. Cc already charged and still nothing. Local store says they cant do anything about it. Will make sure not to order from Chicago ever again.
Im a home depot type of guy...that being said.....Lowes is doing very well..plenty of tools and lots of merchandise...only thing is ....very hard to find help...associates rather missing from their departments..25 minutes to get help? yeah do better Lowes and Ill be there
Wait for 2 hours for them to grab my order. The same order they set 3 different delivery dates on. No call no show for deliveries days. Then I called the day before about picking it up. Had to call me back an hour andbhalf later to confirm it was there. Then when I went the next day. I had to wait for 2 hours for them to find my order (a very large 100+lb canopy)!
By far the worst experience ever!!!!! If I could give this store a negative review I would! I ordered a fridge and was told it would be delivered today! It was then rescheduled to a later time today! It’s past that time. I am trying to get in contact with their delivery service! Was told my fridge was never even on the truck to begin with! Why wasn’t I told that from the beginning of the day. Then I was told it was not in stock. Then I was told that it might be delivered tomorrow. Well which one is it?? I have called the store literally over 50 times!! No one will answer at all! I have been placed on hold! And been purposely been hung up on. I have been placed on hold for 45 mins on another line. On another note, this fridge is for my tenant. Literally 2 hours later no resolution. They will not transfer me over to a manager. I will contact corporate. I will make a formal complaint. I understand that they might be short staffed but this is beyond ridiculous!!
I ordered a grill, and small propane containers for pickup yesterday at 2pm. The confirmation email says to not come to the store until I get a follow up email saying the order is ready. I did not receive an email to pick up my items all day. Woke up today thinking the order will be filled overnight. Still nothing. I ended up going into the store to pick up my items myself. I went to customer service to cancel my online order and found very apathetic employees. Save yourself the hassle at go to Home Depot down the street.
Went to get GE light bulbs. 60 watt 4-pack werent in the lighting section. An associate named Joe helped me look all over the front section of the store to find them displayed next to the tool section. Appreciate Joes help, but strange to find the most commonly used bulbs not in the lighting section.
Came and bought a toilet seat. Kohler brand. When I got home and opened it it was a totally different brand in the box and it was used it was stained it was chipped. I came back to return it within not even 2 hours the lady returns was looking at me like I was crazy for returning it when I told her I just bought this and its not even the brand that I bought and its used. The guy was more helpful he said somebody must have not checked when it was returned because they packed it in really good and even glued it shut. People are nasty.
Never purchase Lowes protection plan supposedly insurance because when you need them all they do is give you the run around and the insurance company they are with ALLSTAR APPLIANCE SERVICES never answer your call you have to contact Lowes so they can call because they only answer their calls. I have been calling about my washer and they just keep telling me the same excuse over and over for almost a month
Went to Lowes for a few things. The workers on the floor were polite and helpful. Check out was terrible. This was on a Thursday morning at 10am. There was only one checkout line open. The self checkout was closed. There was 3 ahead of us in line. By the time we got to the register, there was app. 6 people behind us. A man asked the cashier to look into opening another line. The cashier said there was no one else to open. It was a terrible experience. I wont go back to that Lowes
Couldnt get help loading a new dryer so while loading it I tore a bicep. I ask for customer service to call me an ambulance. Returned to the counter to check if help was coming and was told that an ambulance was not called because Brian the manager said they were not allowed until he saw me first. Who does that when someone is hurt and needs medical attention? Wow.
Handed a staff member my used part. I stated its hard to find and please return it to me. She handed my situation to another staff member taking my part with her. I mean I speak English . Whats not to understand. Terrible skills. I found my part. She heard my concerns as did management.
HORRIBLEself checkout will not take Lowe’s charge card. Store is set up nice but employees do not care or appreciate your business and customers seem a bother to them. After buying and spending $1500 dollars on a new washer and dryer their sub leased company would not set it up upon delivery. After going back to the store numerous times to get gas line stuff I was ignored by the lady at self checkout because my charge card did not work she helped someone at the counter they ignored me to help someone else after she said what do you guys need now and told us to go check out in one of the other lanes. The store manager David blew it off like it was nothing and gave a oh sorry. Sorry but that is not good enough when I am spending my hard earned money at your store. After buying everything and hooking up I had a line that we did not use so I brought it back to return and upon returning I was accused of stealing a valve that was supposedly attached to the line but on the back of the pack it clearly says also buy these items. Overall very poor bad experience and next time I will take the extra drive to the Orland Park store where employees are happy to help the customers spending money.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
I ordered a grill and was told that I would be able to pick it up the next day. I called and asked if be I could pick it up without the confirmation email. I was told that I couldnt and that the email would be sent be the end of the day. At 8:30 pm I called about my order, mind you they close at 9. I was told that there were 70 orders ahead of mine. Even though my grill was in the store. I finally got ahold of someone only to be told that there were no more grills except for the ones that were on the floor for display. Why wasnt I told that the first time I called 8 hours earlier. So I had to cancel my order and get a refund, that was supposed to be confirmed by email. Which I still havent gotten yet.
Purchased and Refrigerator on Wednesday and delivery was for the following Saturday. Received a call from the salesman stating that the refrigerator could not be delivered until Wednesday the following week. Salesman instructed me to phone Lowe’s to get the time of delivery. Called Lowe’s today Wednesday and spoke to a sales lady which she stated delivery could not be done until Saturday. When I said this was unacceptable she said Thursday. Now I need a supervisor. Spoke to supervisor Brandy and he was very Apologetic and assured me I would get the fridge on Thursday. Brandy thanks for putting my faith back in Lowe’s.
The home appliance department at the Lowes on 7971 W. Cicero Ave in Chicago, Illinois was clean and organized 08/22/2020 a little after 11:00am. Sales associate David was helpful and organized. He answered all of our questions and explained any appliance issues. The only concern I had was the time we waited on a Saturday. Two people should have been in that section, especially in high traffic areas. The customer service was not as organized. More attention should be paid to customers to direct them to the next line.
I ordered online and stood at the area designated to pick my stuff up behind the doors. I figured due to social distancing, this made sense and they would open the doors when ready. I stood their for a while, and then one of the employees snydly motioned me around through the regular doors to stand in another line for customer service. I eventually got my stuff, but I followed the rules laid out by the other doors. I might not return to Lowes.......
The customer service rep at the pro desk was exceptional extremely caring for me as the customers needs to insure I was fully informed of my sales and any discounts that were available to me. Between Judith Torres and Mike who helped load my large purchase by means of a forklift. I was truly impress with both their customer service skills. Thumps up for both employees
Today my husband and I visited Lowe’s to purchase screen doors for our house. We were approached by an employee named Braulio, he asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were at the store for and a few hiccups that we had during previous visits regarding the doors. He immediately jumped right in and helped us out. He literally spent 2 HOURS with us!! Helping find the right doors for us and answering all questions. One of our door frames is a custom size which is going to be a pain. He was so nice to us, we were so grateful for him. He worked so hard to find solutions for us and didn’t get frustrated at all. He was very professional and friendly! Shout out to Braulio at Lowe’s on 79th and Cicero!
It is very difficult for me to give a business a bad review, but this store has some of the worst employees Ive ever seen. Employees are standing around chatting instead of assisting customers. If you ask a question they walk right past you like they didnt hear you. And the ones that did respond said Ill call someone to help you thats not my area!! I was so disgusted I walked out of the store.
We went in to buy a refrigerator and we were very pleased with the help we received. David in appliances took care of us and he was very helpful and he took the time to answer all of our questions. I really appreciate when employees are well informed and have good customer service.
Worst customer service of any lowe’s. i’ve had to call all day, every single day, for weeks on a delivery they are fulfilling. every time a manager says they will call me back—and there’s been at least 4 managers say this—i NEVER GET THE CALL BACK. they pick up the phone and put you on hold before giving any greeting. it’s been 3 months and my order has been sitting in their warehouse undelivered. absolutely repulsive service.
I had the best experience I could have. I was looking for a stove today and employee by name Ray questioned what Im looking for. He listen to all my needs and expectations. I had the best price I could get. He was very polite, very helpful and what is important very knowledgable that its unusual now. I appreciate Ray for your help today. I definatelly return to this store again and I highly recomend for my family and friends. Job well done Ray.
Terrible store and management. First they sell my item that was already paid for to another customer, then they tired to pass their damaged floor model off as new. Next the store assistant manager Brandon decides that instead of talking to us hed hide behind another employee. Its been almost a month and still have yet to receive my fridge. The employees messed up the delivery and when you call they just hang up on you. If you go to the store they panic and no one gives you an answer.
Nice clean facility, but the employees need a ton of training. They need to familiarize themselves with the items in the department they work in, know how to refer customer to the appropriate department for help, employees need to learn how to multitask and not ignore customers, and get better training using the computer for ordering parts and service.
Have you ever tried to call this location? We tried 4x for kitchen and bath, dail # then option 5 then 3 yeah had to call back a lot. Someone picked up then transferred the call back to the automated switchboard. Its aggravating, why have a phone if youre not going to answer it? Its okay, youve just lost a big sale to your competitor. Wont shop here ever and you should fire your kitchen and bath staff they were 0 help.
Love shopping here for most of my plumbing and tool needs, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always eager to help whenever something cant be found or even a piece of advice that can help in the long run. I congratulate whoever manages this establishment, they are doing a great job!
This is by far the worst experience and most inconsiderate customer service I have ever had.I went to the store on 5/26/2020 and placed an order in the store to have it delivered on June 27th.The dryer was only delivered on 6/17/2020. The rest of the appliances were told to be delivered on 6/27/2020. I spent the previous day and that same day waiting for a call or a delivery person and no one called.I called that evening for an update and the new delivery date was 7/7/2020. No call/ no delivery.I called that evening for an update and received a 7/14/2020 delivery date.Prior to the delivery date, I called to request that the delivery team wear masks, due to my boyfriend, undergoing chemotherapy.On 7/14/2020, before entering our home, I asked the delivery team to put on their masks. During the installation, the guys were not properly wearing their masks and one of the guys removed his mask. I called later this evening and complained about this to the manager- Brandon Guerrero. I also told him that they failed to connect the steamer to the dryer. They had another person come in the next day, 7/15/2020, just to have the steamer hooked up.On Monday, July 20th,I had the microwave delivered and installed - no problems.During my inspection on 7/20/2020, I called because the corner of my oven door was bent up and damaged. I spoke with Nick, the delivery manager and informed him about the damage. He said that pick up for the damaged stove will be on 7/21/2020, with a delivery date of my new stove on 7/22/2020. I called back this same day, to confirm my delivery of my new stove with Brandon Guerrero and he confirmed the delivery date of 7/22/2020.On 7/22, I had a call with Brandon Houser who informed me that my stove was not in stock and will not be available until 2-3 weeks from this date. He said that the best he could offer was to return my stove, that had just been picked up the prior day, be returned to me 7/22/2020 and place the order for my new stove.8/11 - called 5 times to the store to be hung up/disconnect twice before getting a hold of Raymond Hernandez. He said he had no update on my order and there was a 3-4 MONTH delay on appliances.He said he was going to investigate and call me back in 5 minutes. An hour passed and I called again requesting to speak with Raymond, apparently having a lunch break was more important than getting back to me on my order.I got transferred to Brandon Guerrero and he is currently trying to locate or get an update on my stove with the supplier.I’ve spoken with Brandon Guerrero, Brandon Houser, Jasmine Lopez, Ray Hernandez, Dave Fmuksga, all store managers at this location and all have provided poor customer service.Dave offered me a $150 credit due to the mask inconvenience, which Brandon Houser later said they do not provide this and I have not received. Although, he was able to provide a $350 credit due to the stove damage.I cannot stress enough that this is a high risk customer and all the store managers have failed to understand this concept. This is our first purchase as new homeowners with Lowes and will not be making any future purchases at all. I understand the initial delivery delays, but what I don’t understand is the miscommunication with this management team. Every single person had a different story to my order.I am requesting to have this experience be improved this week. Ive had 6 dates, so far, of people coming into my home and risking COVID exposure to my boyfriend, when it should have been the maximum of 2 delivery dates.I would appreciate some level of accountability from management on this experience.
Terrible customer service . Placed an order for fence panels and has not been ready . It’s going to be almost 2 months . I’ve called several times and all representatives keep giving me the different information. Canceled my order about 2 weeks and have not received my money yet .
I have been looking for a new bath vanity but have limited depth. Found a beauty dk wood..with doors and drawer inside with white porcelain top on it 23 .75 wide and 12 inch deep with extended basin to come out to 15 in for $299 but the icing on the cake was the attentive salesperson who came to my rescue. It is gorgeous..nice mahogany wood finish..expensive looking and legs .He walked me to it and with speed rang up an invoice..got it down. By then I had paid. Be got a helper and they both loaded my car. He wanted to be careful the box would not damage my trim and asked me to drape a cloth I had over my chrome on my trunk. Very thoughtful..fast..great prices Lowes. The store is always clean. It was a happy experience.
Customer service is horrible. We waited 20 minutes for someone to help us at the wood cutting area. He finally arrived and proceeded to do everything in slow motion. Including incorrectly measuring our lumber. We had to straighten out his tape measure and show him what a half inch mark looks like. The employee then took forever to cut our lumber with an Im doing you a favor attitude. This is not the first time we have this experience and thought wed give Lowes a second chance. But it was not a one-off. They clearly dont value customer service. We will be looking exclusively to the competitors from now on.
Such a shame! This location just lost a customer over .40cents. Manager couldn’t honor their own online pricing. This is really sad because I would recommend everyone to go to this location. I guess management has changed unless she was just the cashier supervisor and pretended to be the manager? Anyhow, I still love Lowes just not this location anymore. I had one of the best customer service experience in this store, particularly with their sales associate Daniel Cannata. Daniel did an amazing job of helping me and my wife choosing the proper floor. He answered all of our questions, made the list of all materials we needed to buy and made us confident that we were in safe hands. He followed up on the phone several times making sure that our order is delivered and later on installed. Terrific job!
I never knew Lowes had such a big selection of flowers in their garden section. I was genuinely impressed by the vest size of the store and long aisles of stocked products. During my visit, I was looking to purchase a window ac. I looked up what they had in stock, and convenient it also provided the aisle and bay number where the product is located. Unfortunately, that was inaccurate. AC unit was nowhere to be found, so I asked one of the staff members to help me locate the product and no luck. They blamed recent rearrangement of their AC selection, which tells me there is lack of communication between the staff when something is moved, so its better to say we dont have it. I was able to locate the unit myself, and it was no where near the aisle stated online or out of stock.
I have been working with one of the managers, Brandon, for the past couple of months with purchasing items for our new home. He has been nothing but the best for us and making the process as easy as possible. He genuinely cares about his customers, and even reached out to make sure that everything was going smooth. If there was any sort of issue, he made sure to get it resolved right away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Brandon if you go to this store. He will be beyond your expectations!!!! Went there to find some nails and the associate was very helpful. I described what type of project I was doing and he help me purchase the right nails. I didnt even have to ask. Thats what I call great customer service by engaging in a little conversation he actually told me I had the wrong ones and told the right ones to get.
If I could post 0 stars, I would. Customer service here is horrendous. Delay upon delay upon delay, from start to finish when trying to upgrade a kitchen through Lowes. Also, a pile of lies. They will lie about how long it will take for your order. They will lie about it being eligible for rebates. They will lie about calling you back.
This an excellent store. I like Lowes better than Home depot. The staff is more helpful and I like their pricing. When I was looking to replace my front doors, I price checked and Lowes had the best deal. But, the best deal I got, was my fireplace. Its looks so expensive and nice. I do buy off season to get the best price. Lowes really gave me a great deal!!
Lowes offers a military discount. We often choose this location because its near home and well stocked. Employees are helpful and the store is clean.The only thing is I dislike about this location is the psychos who drive through the parking lot. It is also a spot for thieves so dont leave any tools out in the open.
The times we’ve been at this location staff have been very courteous and helpful. They’ve been patient to answer questions about merchandise and allow us to compare the options available. This time around a special thank you to staff member Carol who stuck around for us as we made big merchandise purchases in different departments. Thank you!
I came to the store on 11/16/13 at approximately 5:15pm with my father. We were looking to purchase pluming items. Tim was able to assist my father gather all the items needed. Despite the language barrier Tim did his best to understand my fathers needs. Tim was patient, helpful, and very friendly. Once at the register, Katie greeted me and was very friendly as well. Overall, my experiences at Lowes have been more than satisfying. I will like to thank all the team members from the store for providing a great customer experience. - AR
This location is large like many others, the parking lot is huge so always plenty of parking. The staff at this location is always helpful, once I had a bad experience but that was many years ago and going every since I have had great experiences. The product are what you would expect at a large corporate store and the outdoor area is nice too. Great place to get in and out of and great staff. I only gave it 4 stars for the one bad time I had years ago, other than that great place.
Horrible management!!! they throw the ball with my order online, Customer service called to the store to have my order overnight because I needed for the people that is working at my house, they charged me 121.28 to overnight my package, and they did not overnight it!! I called customer service and they gave me 10% discount for the inconvenience and they told me I have to call the store for the 121 shipping reimbursement! WELL they gave me only 55 dollars because customer service gave me 10% discount and that will be the difference for the 121 I paid for the shipping... WHAT A GREAT DEAL... AND WHO IS GONNA PAY ME FOR THE EXTRA DAYS I HAVE TO PAY THE WORKERS WHILE THEY WAIT FOR THE SUPPLIES.!!! AWESOME JOB FREAKING LOWES 2304 YOU ARE A MESS
I don’t understand why a home improvement store would hire people who are clueless of what they are doing! I akes 3 different associates in the paint department to make me 3 paint sample and not one of them knew how to do it. They had to call a lady that took her at least 10 minutes to show up to finally get me what I needed. UNBELIEVABLE! Now I know why I never shop at Lowe’s.
The woman who checked us out was a riot and very kind!! Wish I could recall her name because Id love to give her a shout out and to tell management to give her a raise and promotion!!! Found everything we came for and bought a few things extra because we couldnt pass up the sales!!
Seems like always a decent place for service and good workers there. But they have a serious chemical odor right now in the paint department. I am a painter and know that some kind of serious solvent was spilled there and it still smells horribly. H-O-R-R-B-L-Y!Come on you lazy people and incompetent management. Lets find out where it was spilled in the paint aisle and do a proper cleaning. Or else it will continue to have a ridiculous solvent and chemical odor. Ir is not healthy. Go buy your paint elsewhere until they clean it up properly. Definitely dont bring kids there!
I had the worst customer service at this store. i asked to speak to a manager and she never came to hear my concerns. i ended up speaking to a head cashier who was no help at all. Lowes will not price match their own price at a different location. this is inheard of because they will price match home depot and Menards.very unhappy customer
Horrible customer service. I went in to get a 9 inch band-saw, which looked like an opened item, and I asked an associate if it was new or used, and he had told me it was new that it just fell off the shelf and just needed to be repacked. Furthermore, I got home and opened the item, and it had saw dust all over the saw, the manual was missing and parts where in a sandwich bag. I went back the next day to return it, and they absolutely refused to give me a refund, I asked to talk to the manager and he came to tell that he was not going to take the saw back and implied that I was lying about using the saw. He walked away from me while I was talking to him. I called the Lowes customer care center when I got home and put a complaint on the store and asked them to tell the store manger to call me. When the store manger called me he told me to come in and get a new saw and its a done deal, I wanted a refund because this was the second time I had bought a tool from them where it was used and had random pieces of hardware. He said I had to get to the store within a hour to get a refund. So because of their ignorance I had to accommodate to their needs, I am very dissatisfied with the service, and low quality of expertise at this Lowes. Never going there again!
I went to this Lowes location to purchase some landscape plants but to my surprise they literally had very little to none. Although it is to be expected this late in the season (late July). I did find a great deal on a very large planter that was on sale for half price ($15) and some lovely plants for the front garden. I will try to post a photo but I need to strip the photos meta data first.
I went today to purchase a roll of Reflective Insulation. As soon as I walked in, I ask three idiot associates by garden, worst mistake. They looked at me like they didnt know what reflective insulation was. One older guy was like what is it for? Which honestly why do you care, I just need to know where it is. So He didnt know so he asked this lady next to him. Once again asked why I need it. Which aggravated me even more. So she didnt know. So she asked another lady, at that point I have to walk away. I walked near Appliances and saw a young guy named Jaime. He right away knew what I was looking for and took me right to it. Thank you so much for the fast, easy, and excellent customer service Jaime. We appreciate you for taking the time to help us. I wish I was able to give this review 5 stars but the first 3 associates ruined it. Also the cashier looked like she hated her job. Lowes help your associates. They need training.
I went to Lowe’s to purchase a water heater Greg the gentleman who help me was great. Unfortunately the company Lowe’s hired to install my water heater Bluewater there service was horrible, bad from the beginning. Francisco the tech did not know what he was doing. Due to him being some rough I the pipes he caused them to leak. Mind you he forgot to hook my ice maker and humidifier back up. I have been going back and forth with Lowe’s. This people they hire for installs are not noligable. A water heater turned into a repair that costed me thousands of dollars. Do not let them do your installs on anything. This company is Bogus.
Came to buy a particular backsplash. Lowes website gave the exact location and quantity of the item in store. Still, I couldnt find the location. Asked an associate, who rather than walk a few steps with me, said to go to the rear of store. Still couldnt find it. Asked another associate, who walked me to the location and handed one to me. I said I wanted to check it to make sure it was not scratched because several reviews said they had to examine a few before finding one that was not scratched. He said, be my guest and walked away. No sale. Every single one scratched! No service. Go to Home Depot or Menards.
On October 5, 2018 I purchased a gas wall-oven unit from the Lowes at this location. My salesperson was superb. He sold me what I wanted and was a complete professional throughout the purchasing process. Kudos to David Gallion. It is after the purchase that my nighmare with Lowes began and still continues. Imagine if you had to wait until April 3, 2019 to finally get a fully functioning wall-oven unit that you purchased six months earlier. You would be upset. Im not going to bore you with the details, because a full report will be filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) this week.Here are the main points. Lowes has poor customer service. I have called Lowes on 79th and Cicero, visited Lowes on 79th and Cicero in Chicago, spoken to Lowes Installation, as well as Lowes Customer Complaint Hotline, and I have still not gotten complete resolution for the issues I have experienced. The main issue is that when Lowes promises to call you back, dont count on them following through. It has been a nightmare. Promises made are promises not kept. I will be writing a formal letter to Lowes Corporate Headquarter detailing my complete interactions with the management at this particular location. While there have been some who have tried to be helpful, the team gets a failing grade. I will never recommend to anyone to make a major appliance purchase from this location and, possibly, Lowes in general. I cant even get updated service warranties, etc which reflect the actual date of installation versus the actual date of purchase. Fed up.
I was happy with the service from the clerk at the pick up section. I had to go to the service desk. The employees were rude and dismissive. I ended up getting it myself. They told what number I should look for and didnt tell me where that was. I asked the person working in that department and he was rude and disrespectful. I dont think I will ever go back to that store again.
Went to the 79th & Cicero location to get keys made. Both employees I dealt with were very nice but they didn’t have a clue in both communication AND making the keys. I picked out 4 designs for the two originals I needed them made from because I needed 2 sets. So the young guy makes a set of regular silver ones instead! Well, why did I pick out the designs then—I would have just asked for plain keys in the first place. Then an older man came to the other employee’s rescue I guess as he suddenly appeared so I said it’s very simple, 2 sets of keys with these 4 designs I picked out on the counter—and bear in mind that the 2 original keys are different as there are 2 separate doors to unlock in order to come in, so I said, 1 & 1 in each of the 2 sets. So the older man said he knew exactly what I was talking about & proceeded to cut the keys. I should have known to check them because as it turned out he cut the same keys for each set meaning one key was different & it wasn’t cut. I know it can get confusing, but I presented 2 original keys so obviously each one is different. It’s their job to get that right. They really need to get someone in that department who knows what they’re doing. In most cases, keys are something that you need immediately, not the next day or in days afterward. This has caused a huge inconvenience as these keys were for my older Grandchildren so they can get in after school. So now I have to waste time & gas going back there. Very disappointed!
Really bad customer service, my husband and I waited for 10 minutes in the paint section before anyone asked us if we needed help, employees would just pass by us and when they finally ask us we were told it would be a few more minutes because the one in charge of the paint was doing a BLIND ORDER whatever that is and we waited for another 10 minutes. We wont be back to this location anymore. I will now be shopping at Home Depot
Very bad. Lazy people tell us to go out and get are own carts. While they stand there and talk . Oh yeah one cashier must wait 45min to get taken care of then they want you to pay for the bags. You should close that store down. Ill go to homedepot. And I will be telling my friends
Lot of workers and managers standing around but not offering service had to approach them each time/visit. Had the pleasure of engaging with Jileeza who did make the difference and assisted me and aided getting me help in each department. Jileeza is a great asset to your company and offered great customer service with a smile. 👍
They dont provide bags at the register so you have to find an associate, ask for a bag, get a lecture on why bags are $0.07, get a well qualified opinion on why its a good thing to inconvenience customers to collect an additional tax for the fiscally irresponsible city of Chicago, and leave the store feeling dumber for the experience. Im going to shop for my home improvement needs at Home Depot in oak lawn ; they have everything one would need, plus the convenience of providing bags without having to ask for this essential item.
Went it to buy grass seed and to see what else they have. Asked for an ad. Got directed to a stand which was fine. However AD IS ONLY IN SPANISH. Went back and asked a clerk if the have any in English. She said they only get them in Spanish. I must be living in Latin America. Going back to Home Depot at least ads are in English. Unbelievable.
I went to return a Kobalt shovel which has a lifetime warranty and the clerk told me that I had to contact the company and take up warranty with them, then I called corporate customer service and they sent me back into the store.......anyway I got my new shovel!!!!!Thanks LOWES, youre the best!
Been to at least 5-6 Lowes in Chicago Area. I braced myself when going into this one as multiple poor experiences. I have made numerious $1,000 plus purchases at Lowes in general and they just dont get it here. Without getting into details - you should be fine for basic needs and you know what you want. Their level of expertise or knowledge of Lowes policies is subpar and they love making you wait while they try to figure something out that they should know easily, like if the price of a chair is for the set of 4 or just 1. Customer Service desk is a nightmare here.
We bought cherry tomato plants tomato plants, basil, zucchini plants,. Couldnt find any strawberry plants and they lady told me to look outside with the vegetables. She dont know where strawberry plants are. So we will go to a nursery much, closer to home. We wont be back here again anytime soon.
Very bad experience. I purchased a washer, dryer and two pedestals. I was told that they were going to call me before delivery. I specifically told them I wanted all the pieces delivered together. I was very upset when I came home and the washer and dryer were here without the pedestals. No one called to let me know they were coming. When I called delivery to complain they took my number but didnt return my call. I called corporate office while at work and they checked out my complaint only to tell me the pedestals were going to be delivered that day. No one called and I had to tell her no one was at my house. Who delivers stuff to your house without contacting you first. Very tacky!!!!! I will not be doing business with Lowes again!!!! PLEASE BEWARE 😕😕😕😕
HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!! I Purchased a Washer, dryer and a grill. DELIVERY DAY comes and they dont show up. After multiple calls, I was told their truck broke down. DELIVERY ATTEMPT 2, they show up 1 hour past their scheduled time. They also failed to bring the grill. Spoke with a manager and all i got was an I DONT KNOW!!! DELIVERY ATTEMPT 3, they finally bring the grill, and guess what??? The grill covers are installed backwards. The delivery guys refused to fix it and refused to return it stating You have to call Loews. Spoke with a Loews manager and he wants to reschedule another date to pick it up instead of having the delivery personnel pick it up the same day cause conveniently, the delivery personnel are not answering the phone... Such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Will definatly not return to Lowes.
I purchased a vinyl chain link fence for my yard. The salesman, Joe Favola, was very kind, but ultimately, the product and the service he could not provide. The installation was very poor. The girls in the office did what they could to amend the situation and they were great. Poor communication from the installers. Poor service from the installers.They told me it would be installed in one setting if I took the old fence down. It actually took a couple of weeks from start to finish. The fence itself was cheap and damaged from the first day. The installers were in a hurry, and scratched the fence in too many places to count. They made repairs on what was supposed to be a new chainlink fence. And even now, the screws are falling apart and the vinyl which is suppose to be strong is torn in many places. I would not recommend them for chain link vinyl fences. Run. Run. Run.

2022-01-28Placed a curbside order, when I arrived at the store, I was called and told do to the weather they wont bring my order out. Being handicapped I was upset, but I understood the store might be short staffed. Since I was going in to pick up my order I wanted to get a key made. There was nobody working near the machine and a few associates walked passed me without offering to help. I went to the service desk twice to ask for assistance and here I am 20 minutes later writing a bad review for poor service

2022-04-24I always enjoy going to lowes! They always have what I need and then some. Today I found a 2 drill DeWalt set with a bag for $130. They also have the filters I look for. Only thing is the check out, only one actual employee and the rest are self checkouts.

2022-06-17I can grill on my balcony. I needed to purchase a nice barbecue grill as soon as possible. I started my search at 4am to compare prices and Lowes was the best. By 5am I created an account, selected a nice grill and other items for pick up. Lowes opens at 6am and I received my pick up notification at 6:32am! That was FAST! I drove to Lowes, got my items with no wait!!! Superb service. I was back home fast. My grill is all set up and I am ready! Thank you so much Lowes!

2022-06-07The last 2 times Ive been to this location, there are no open registers. Only the self-serve ones that are card only the one cashier that was working said she would take cash, BUT, she cant give change so you have to donate it to them. So let me get this straight, Im buying an item, and I have to donate my change to them as well!?!? I walked out and said I was just going to go to Home Depot down the block instead.

2022-05-09This location is absolutely horrible. Attitude from employees and management. I asked a manager a few questions . He directed me to an employee. The employee directed told me to hold on she was going to call someone to help me out. I knew better than to wait. Left the area went to customer service and said I needed to speak to a store manager. He came out from the back offices with the phone to his ear , seen me and walked right back into the offices. I called corporate office and gave all their names. I then went to home depot down the street in bedford park. I asked a young lady walking in where to find the product she walked me across the store introduced me to a department manager and he handled it right away. I ended up getting cabinets for 3 of my properties 3 sheds and 3 garage installations. You snooze you lose lowes.

2022-06-14Really bad experience with a delivery of a refrigerator for my tenants. The man who I purchased the refrigerator from was nice, even waived the 40.00 fee to haul out the old refrigerator.The day of delivery comes, the guy Lawrence didnt load it on the delivery truck and lied to my tenants saying he tried delivering it before but no one was home. He never loaded it according to JB Hunt, (who Lowes outsources their deliveries to) so my tenants had to wait another day to get the refrigerator. Guess what, delivery day comes and the delivery guy refused to haul out the refrigerator and was very rude on the phone, saying I didnt pay for the 40.00 fee. I called and complained to JB Hunt and Lowes stated it was in the purchase notes to (haul out) regardless if I paid or not. Those idiots had to waste gas and come right back the next day to haul it out. Due to this situation Id never buy from Lowes again-especially have something delivered.

2022-03-20Had them measure our windows to install curtains on 12/23 and on 12/24 we went in to order them. We we were in the store for well over 3 hours because we had to redo the order but the sales person kept leaving us to attend other customers for long periods of time. Once they were ordered they arrived pretty quickly the first week of January but then realized they had ordered the wrong sizes for 2 of the windows. They were twice the size they should be. So I called and told to come to the store. When we went to the store we were the for like 2 hours because they couldnt figure out how to return them. In the end they called corporate which told them we couldnt return them yet because the system hadnt updated that they had been delivered even though I had it in my hands. This alone is ridiculous. We were finally able to return them 1/24. But then those took longer to be delivered and I would have to call them try to figure out when they would come in. No one knew what they were doing, I got transferred so many times and would just end up with the same clueless person. Finally they were delivered and installed on 3/18 almost 3 months later. And this is when we realized they had ordered one of our shades the wrong design. 3 day into having them and the cord on one of the shades has broken, so if you have large windows dont get Levolor blinds. Overall a terrible experience.

2022-06-02I went to lowes on 79st and Cicero and purchased a EGO lawnmower on 4//21/2022 it’s now 6/1/2022 and still no lawnmower.It’s really a very long story - lots of long emails, multiple lies from managers etc I even emailed the CEO from Lowes and still no lawn mower.
