I stop by our local coffee shop to pick up a latte nearly every weekend. They don’t open until 8am on the weekends, which means I have to come back after my yoga class (which ends at 7:45). I learned they get their baked goods from my favorite bakery in Chicago, Sweet Connections. Grab a delicious donut next time you’re there!
Really enjoyed the cold brew here. Better than the chains Ive tried and totally customizable with different syrups, milks, and creamers. Great place to work or study and you can get any type of treat youre feeling - coffee, sandwiches, breakfast, bakery items, smoothies, or ice cream. The turkey pesto sandwich I got was delicious and big enough that I was able to share it with someone else.
Coffee is great. The decor and book selection is phenomenal. The staff can be slow sometimes so dont go if youre in a rush. Also, last time I went I had two drink orders and in one it was a large latte with ONE pump of syrup and they charged me .75 cents for the one pump!
I’d thought I’d stop squealing about this place after my first few visits but a year later I still do the same thing. In all seriousness the only con about this place is that you will get addicted!I drive far to come here and they never ever ever ever ever disappoint. They are CONSISTENT, their staff is friendly, their food and drinks are BOMB, the aesthetics are photo worthy. I just want to pick this place up and put it in my backyard.I love getting the monetary breakfast burrito ( my boyfriend and I place 3 orders so we don’t argue about we gets to eat the last one). The Oreo frappe is AMAZING and it doesn’t even make sense.Although I have only ordered carry out from here I am excited to know that they are now doing indoor seating!!! Very cute and cozy and quiet place to study or read! Always cannot wait for my next visit there.
My partner and I stopped by on Saturday and shared a raspberry black iced tea and an iced oat milk latte and they were both delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were both friendly and respectful of safety measures. We loved the experience and will be back! :D
Stopped here cuz I was early for an appt. THIS IS THE CUTEST COFFEE SHOP! I had an iced latte & sat awhile to take in the environment. After my appt. I went BACK for lunch & the food was so yummy! I ordered a chickpea patty panini w/ sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts & spinach..... Yum!!!!! I will 1000% be back when I find myself in Antioch again
Been coming to this cafe for over 6 years and honestly it’s everything you could ever want in a cozy (but spacious) cafe. The recent remodel and change of ownership has done nothing but improve an already great thing. Great atmosphere, lots of space to work or have meetings, great reading spots, great book selection, and the cutest (reasonably) priced home decor and gifts!! And I haven’t even gotten to the COFFEE/TEA/HOT FOOD MENU/BAKERY/ICE CREAM YET!! All amazing. Wide variety of selections and I have yet to be disappointed. Best breakfast burritos and chicken salad sandwiches I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, would recommend anyone and everyone to stop in if you are in the area! Shop local.
I love the little bean. Their drinks are great, especially the honey oat latte. It always smells delightful when you come in the door. Their build your own breakfast sammies are to die for. Its a choice of bread, choice of cheese, choice of two veggies and a choice of meat. It always come with an egg that is always so fluffy and delicious. Then add the other ingredients, it blows my mind every time. I always go for the build your own with croissant, cheddar, carmelized onion, red peppers, and bacon. Super amazing. They also have an amazing chicken salad sandwich that you can spread between two meals. The portions are always satisfying. One selection of drinks are their lemonades. I absolutely love the blended strawberry lemonade. Fresh strawberries, lemonade, ice, blended into a slushie. I go to the little bean every Saturday.
If youve been in Antioch for any length of time, you know that theres plenty of places for the 40+ crowd and quite a bit now for the under 21 crowd. Its a weird place to be a 20-something. Little Bean is one of the few places that feels good for that demographic.Additionally, the staff here is amazing. Everyone is always so friendly and accommodating. They have such unique menu items that you cant find anywhere else in town. Our community is truly better because of this business.
Who wouldve thought such an artesanal café in Antioch downtown, 2 hours north of Chicago and I mean it with compliments. Very impressed with the café decor, gourmet food and coffees. They also have great selection of artesanal candles, preserves, all things coffee and other gifts.
Went in with my mom around 11am on a Sunday. They’ve recently changed names maybe even management and or ownership I’m not sure; it was cafe book now little bean. They have a little display case with the quiche and a few muffins or treats. I wasn’t really thrilled with what they had as far as selection. The only quiche wasn’t labeled and labels were on things that weren’t even in there. I ordered a veggie bfast burrito but they were out of tortillas (There’s a grocery store a block away and there’s 3 staff there). I think the owner was there. Never asked how we liked what we’d ordered. My potatoes in the burrito turned bowl were way too salty. I really liked the tea latte I ordered. Good ambiance and overall style, seems like it would work out great for a small group to meet. I’ll probably try another place next. Truth be told, I’d go back here just without high expectations.
Exceptional staff, very very friendly. If you go in more than one time a year, I can guarantee theyll remember you and your name. Food and drink quality is off the charts, the shop could be completely empty and have no atmosphere and it would still be worth it. The atmosphere itself is also drawing. One could spend an hour just walking around and looking at all the unique decorations, and just feel the essence of what a classic coffee shop is. Highly recommend.
Love this place for its cozy atmosphere, WiFi with ample outlets, and tables for spreading out your work station. My go-tos are the spinach artichoke mushroom breakfast bagel sandwich, a chai latte (many flavors available), and a fresh scone. ;) I consider the prices a little high, but I understand that the overhead makes the prices fair. Youre paying for the venue as much as the actual food or beverage. Thank you for providing a cozy spot to work or relax in downtown Antioch!
Prices too hide. Bought latte at $5+ in to go cup. Asked for whip cream, was told that would be an extra charge. A friend ordered regular coffee at $2 and was asked if she wanted mug (which I was not.) Apparently a mug is 12 oz and my latte was 16 oz. With a mug you get a free refill. Since we sat for a bit, I asked for a small warm up of regular coffee and was told I would have to pay for it. So a $5+ coffee cannot get a small amount of regular hot coffee, but a $2 cup can... doesnt make sense to me. And...extra $ for a dollop of whip cream. I wont be going back there. Im headed to Cafe Latte on 173 and 83.
This café is so good! I have been here several times. Every drink, whether it be something simple or more of a concoction, has been great. The same goes for the food. The décor is very cool and relaxing, and there are some interesting antiques on display/for sale. If youre happening through this small town you should definitely check out Cafe Book.
This review is specific to your staff whom are very unfriendly. They are slow and when they see you waiting they don’t acknowledge your presence. Ever. I’ve attempted to go on numerous occasions as I love to patronize my own town and small businesses and it’s shocking how mean and unwelcoming the staff are. The terrible attitudes over shadow any good or drinks offered. Sad.

2022-05-17Absolutely charming location, lots of seating, natural light and very cozy. The drinks were incredible - I got the Bouquet latte (rose, lavender, oat milk), and boyfriend got the London Fog (Earl grey with vanilla) - we both expressed amazement at how good they were. We also each got a bakery snack, which were good as well. Definitely planning on coming back here! Would highly recommend.

2022-06-20Little Bean Coffee Company wowed me with its open and friendly atmosphere. The employees are friendly and helpful right away. This particular location made me feel at ease as a bisexual man, with the pride flag flying inside and outside the store. The Tea I ordered was delicious and really hit the spot. I had a great time sitting there drinking tea and editing stuff on my tablet. Its a lovely location that you should visit.

2022-04-16All we wanted was to get married in Little Bean and guess what?!?! We did!!!!! Not only did we get married, we held the reception there and Angela, the owner of Little Bean, catered all the food except the cake. She shut down for the day and we were allowed to decorate how we wanted. (Due to how adorable it is in there, we just added some touches) She helped get the tables into position and get all the place settings set up. She made everything perfect!!!! The food was amazing. Her staff passed appetizers during cocktail hour and then we had a family style sit down dinner. The food was out of this world, the atmosphere was pure perfection, Angela and her staff were so on top of their game! It was a dream come true. The next day we hosted a brunch their as well for the out of town guests and again, Angela made the food and provided a reserved space for us. It was perfect. Not only would I recommend Little Bean for your everyday coffee, tea, lunch, or meet up but I would also recommend for any events you would like to do! We were able to have 50 guests, a dance floor, and a bar room. There is nothing I would change from our day and a lot of that is due to Little Bean and all of their AWESOME staff!

2021-11-26I found out the owners of Little Bean came into my business her Instagram post. Small businesses support each other 👏 🤝 so I went on a day date to their Antioch location. I’ve since been back a few times! Their Apple Orchard Panini is my absolute favorite and any of their smoothies have been great! Congrats on their NEW second location as well 🥳 (pic of the delicious sandwich I speak of from their FB page)

2022-06-21The baristas are rude to you like immediately... They take a very long time to make drinks that just taste a little off... Not a single smile and a rude type of pressure to hurry up and order even if the stores empty no ones behind me trying to order the cones of ice cream are just one scoop on top with an empty cone... Wont be returning a lot of shops in the area with way better vibes and nice baristas

2022-05-31Not impressed with the coffee. Our brown sugar cinnamon iced coffee was watered down and bitter. The employees were not welcoming.I am going to keep on looking for my new go-to coffee shop.

2021-12-28Nice trendy coffee shop with great drinks and food. I like the amount of space inside with the 2 side rooms. It has a nice atmosphere and a library/reading area.
