Very rude to customer! They got my order wrong and i was trying to tell the girl i have 4 orders but she was certain that i only have 3 no, you only have 3. Then i have to just stand at the drive thru windows and she open window said can you go, theres people behind you im like have to yell that you got my order wrong then she go get a guy and the guy was trying to tell me i have only 3 order while my phone show 4 orders! Then finally he looked at the order again then didnt even said sorry, made my order then the girl literally threw the food at my said here you go. What kind of customer service is that. Never go back ever again! Would not recommend to anyone!
Went there 2 different times first time didn’t get my Pepsi called them didn’t offer another. Second time ordered 4 chicken breast mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I got 2 breast 2 thighs no potatoes gravy and coleslaw. They don’t answer phone never going back there again very poor service
The Elgin location has gone downhill. Food is old and dry. Never going back.I lied. I went back because Popeyes has gotten too expensive. Going back was a mistake. KFC is the victim of the Great Resignation. All the good employees have jobs. We are left with the ones that clearly hate what they are doing and the attitude shows. Even behind the mask you can tell the attitude of rudeness.Matter of fact. Covid-19 has proven that eating out is overrated, not healthy and costly. Save your money and live!
Was ok, with waiting for a few minutes to get a fairly large order. However, after reading back my order 2 items were omitted. I didnt pay for them but how do you read it back to me and not charge or give it to me. Also after asking for plates and plastic ware. I didnt get it. Store wasnt busy except for Door dash orders. Hope those people got what they asked for.
My husbands 2 piece meal was overcooked...not burned and extremely dry. My popcorn chicken was warm but not hot. We have been to the location near Randall and Lake for 16 years and we usually have no problems with our take out dinners. We will continue to go there but get the original recipe instead of extra crispy for his future orders.
The staff was fine. The food was terrible. I had the Mac&cheese bowl. I dont recommend it to anyone with taste buds. Chicken was over cooked, Mac was mushy and bland and the cookie I got with the combo is not edible. I think KFC has given up trying to serve their customers with even decent food.
On 1/30/20, went to this KFC at 294 S. Randall, to purchase dinner for 4. Got thereat 6:15pm, and left with take out at 6:45. They had only a few pieces of chicken ready. People were waiting at the drive up and stacked in the store. Got home, and chicken was greasy, with the skin and breading falling off. There was a significant pool of grease in the bucket. On 1/31/20 around 1:30 pm, took remaining 2pcs. of chicken, and the greasy bucket back to KFC, showed the co-manager explained the issue, showed him the receipt, and asked for my money back for the poor quality chicken. Another manager came out of the back, asking why I didnt bring it back last night. I explained that I live 8 miles away, and had 4 people to feed. When I showed him the returned chicken, and the bucket with the grease, he explained thats what happens when they cook chicken fast. I told him that they should not be serving food that looks like what I returned. He would not refund the money for the chicken. A zero star rating is more appropriate. Pictures of the returned chicken, the bucket with the grease, and the receipt were taken by me, and I will try and find a way to post for others to see. Go somewhere else for KFC, as these guys didnt watch KFCs commercials asking people to give them another chance.
I order the big box meal. Asked for extra crispy. It was not crispy and breading not stuck on chicken. I think chicken was under cooked. Not the same quality I grew up with. I think I am done with KFC. My kids like Popeye. I think we might start going there. This is not only time KFC lacked in quality. It happened over summer at another location.
If i can give no stars, i would. A bunch of kids who have a manager that has no experience of managing. Could give their address and couldnt give their store number and claims that they didnt have a corporate number. And asked me to wait 30 minutes for 8 pieces. So much for fast food. Rude and i do not recommend them.
Called ahead for catering order. They didnt start it until I got there. Ordered a large catering order of mashed potatoes, they gave me a side order instead of the large tray. I do this at least once a year and every time I have to wait. Popeyes and Browns are much better, wish there was a Bojangles here.
Drive thru had no cars yet it took 20 minutes to get order placed correctly. . as though English was confusing...AFTER all that...we were told they ran out of chicken... How does a place with the word Chicken in their name run out of Chicken!? To top that..the cashier was rude to us like it was our fault that we expected chicken at a chicken place. We left with mashed potatoes and coleslaw ..... And when we got home gravy was all over the bag. #NEVER EVER AGAIN
In my opinion they have one good thing going for them right now and thats that Louisville Kentucky chicken And it cant even manage to get that right I went to place the order ask for extra sauce on my chicken get home they extra dry ,they cheap w/ the sauce like they take it home ,they need to listen to there customers .I called and they wanted nothing to do with fixing the problem they .suck.#newteamneeded #dontbother
Went tonight around 6:30, I would give you my receipt number but I was never given a receipt or offered one. The bag was so jammed full, it barely fit through my car window and we almost lost a box of food (average sized car, not an unusual feat i would assume.) After almost $40... got home to find the bucket of crispy chicken we ordered was original, the mac n cheese we ordered was coleslaw. Each and everything biscuit was crumbled and barely edible. And our $5 fill up had no cookie. Any one of those things might not be earth shattering... But your price point is way too high to send people off with such an all around disaster of a meal.
Visited, the drive thru, at 8:15 on a Thursday, waited 5 minutes at the speaker, and another 12 at the window. Drove home to find 1/2 my family bucket meal missing. Called, drove back, waited another 6 minutes to talk with manager. The second star is because she did correct everything and as an apology, throw in a little extra. No, they were not busy inside either, to cause such delay and confusion.
This place on Randall Rd in Elgin, needs maintenance and repairs, Im surprised the Health department and building department hasnt shut them down. The foods good, but if the lobby, eating area, bathrooms are filthy I could imagine the back were foods prepared,. Fix the place up and clean it please. I like KFC!!
Maybe its just in my memory this way, but didnt KFC have good chicken before? Our food looked like chicken tenders but they were tough little buggers. I felt like a wolf trying to tear the meat apart to ear it. Unless they have some super deal for a family dinner, Im not going back anytime soon.
Pot pies were awesome. The interior is nice. They also support android pay.In the winter of 2017-2018 this place was literally freezing on the inside. The inside window sills and parts of the floor were covered in ice. Check the photos I added. You can literally see the inside freezing. Hopefully theyll get their heat fixed soon.
SOSDD. This KFC was okay. Xtra crispy chicken was not greasy and only a little old. We had white meat (breasts) which was meaty, along with some potato wedges. The wedges were good and my granddaughters nuggets were eh. Not sure if it was time of day (mid afternoon) but this will be my last foray into the Colonels world for a while.
Bathroom has hair pubes on the toilet seat and poop smeared in the toilet ,toilet paper on the floor, tables not clean and they took long in making the food.This place lost its mojo.I used to like ordering from here.Tonight I had to say goodbye and how disappointed I am on how it got.They need to shut down this place.Unsanitized.
This is the closest KFC to where I live so I frequent this location and I feel its hit or miss. Sometimes you go and are completely satisfied and other times youre unhappy with your food. It is nice and clean inside the store so I give them that and restroom was clean when I used it.
Stopped to get dinner at 530 did drive thru the person taking the orders didnt acknowledge us at first after a few hello she finally said could you give me a few minutes. When she returned asked my order. After I was finished she informed me that there was no chicken ready it would be about 45 minutes only grilled was ready. 530 in the evening you would think they would be ready for the dinner rush. Very disappointed
Constant mistakes through drive thru. Both of us got sick from the 2 pc. chicken dinner. The coleslaw is delicious as well as the round chicken bites. Always check your order to see if its correct before you leave. Drive thru people do not understand English very well.
We had a large order of chicken on National Fried Chicken Day. We wanted to go to the KFC nearer to our home, but when I called at 10:30 , they put me on hold for 5 min. and then came to the phone and asked me to call back in about 20 min. OK??? so I called back and they would not answer several times. SO I called this KFC and they were so nice and packed each meal in an organized way so I would know who gets what. They even put stickers on the special orders and carried the order out to my car. It was so worth driving the extra 10 minutes to use this KFC. I wouldn’t even give them a 1star. This place is a joke. Don’t speak English bad attitude. Waited 15 minutes to get my food thru the drive through. Screwed up my order got home with no chicken and the gravy was all over the inside of the bag. I will never go back to that place!
Ordered the number 4 combo and total came out to be somewhere around 6.40 and payed with a 10. i was on the phone while paying and receiving my food. Later realised i was only given 1.60 which i assume they pocketed the other 2 dollars as i was distracted. Untrustworthy people and have no proof because they did not give me a receipt or put it in the bag.
KFC food is great. However, this location is terrible. They always mess up your drive-thru order and customer service in general sucks. Last time my wife and i went, we waited 25 minutes for an order- unnacceptable.Gave it one more try, but going to find another location next time.

2021-11-29My go-to for that KFC fix.It is way better than the other elgin location.Anyways they are always friendly, the chicken is made properly, good portions. I like it and keep coming back.

2022-04-12Im seriously reviewing a KFC. Because they were so awful, you say? NO! Because the food was amazing. Everything was hot, crispy, and served EXACTLY how it was supposed to. When does that ever happen in a fast food place? Not often, but this KFC was so good, I would drive the 30 minutes from my house in hopes they could recreate what they did on my last visit! Good job KFC.

2021-12-23Got home and realized that I was missing food that we paid for. I called and asked if they could do a refund over the phone and I was told I either had to bring back food for a refund (though I’m not sure why I had to bring back food for a refund for food that was never given to me) or I was just out of luck. Of course I didn’t feel like getting back in the car. This is moreso a complaint against their policy than the restaurant itself. It’s just annoying to pay and not get food. Unable to send them a complaint because I was not given a receipt either.

2021-09-26Dine in, sat down to eat immediately after getting food. The Nashville Hot chicken tenders where cold and oddly sweet like honey. Didnt taste any heat, looks like they just brush on seasoning. Fries where also cold and stale. Biscuit and fountain where good.

2021-10-24I just moved from Chicago to Elgin, I went to KFC for #3 order.I am a very special when it comes to oder food, if something is not right I comeback and complaint, but this KFC is the best I ever been in.Costumer service Spanish lady very friendly and servicial and food so delicious, over exceed what I expected.Keep the great work staff and KFC.Nothing compared to Chicago , this is the best!!!!

2021-05-03We generally just get sides at KFC because the pieces for years have been so puny. Ordered just a breast & it was meaty & juicy!! Pleasantly surprised! The last time I bought a large cole slaw it was skimpy & not worth the price. I mentioned this to the drive thru lady while ordering & she apologized & took care of me. Very sweet, accommodating woman!

2021-08-27Ordered mash potatoes instead fries got home and it was fries. Also, was supposed to get 2 sauses for chicken strips. Got zero. I could understand…maybe…if they were busy. They were not at all.

2021-08-21Was given $10 change back from my order, was super old bill. I have just come from my local market where the bill wouldnt go thru machine and failed marker check so apparently its not real?! Ive called the store no response, called the 800 number no one available, virtual assistant useless but no shirker there and finally have sent email. Im heading up there now with the receipt but this is ridiculous, 100% unacceptable. Its a hassle to now have to make a 35 min round trip and have been embarrassed at the store, how is this a real thing...
