This is a horrible place to eat at the place is so filthy dirty including the bathrooms , And the pop machine had syrup coming out of it . No original recipe chicken , And French fries were soaked in oil .The food is nasty , And their short of help took a have an hour to an hour to get your food .
Used door dash for my order. I chose to cancel my entire order if they were out of something. They chose not to do that and picked their own substitution. (Which is not something that I would order). They also did not send my drink that I paid for. I tried to call several times to get a refund since I am at work and can’t leave to go there in person and of course no one will answer.
1st off I want to say the stars are for the employees at drive thru only...Id give them 5 stars if this was based on them only. They were very polite, even tho they had to put up with ppl complaining. They said Thank you & have a good night, got order rt & food was hot.The popcorn chicken was horrible,(which is why we went there)over cooked, hard little crunchy pcs. Only few pcs had actual chicken in it & not just hard fried batter. Prices are to high.Low rating is for the bldg, management & Owner. Place has really gone down hill. They need to take care of property (mow grass, trim bushes) maintain outside building, light parking lot properly, fix drive thru menu so it lights up & you can actually see it. It was pitch black, couldnt see menu at all so we had to guess our order. Told them we couldnt see it, that light was out & they did nothing to fix it because they didnt know how but said it happens every night, & there were cars behind me, waiting to order in the dark also. As for inside, I didnt go in but Im sure it needs updated & deep cleaned. It was very disappointing, we wont be returning. I dont usually complain on any of these reviews but this place has gone down hill big time.
It was honestly impressive with how terrible the service was today. I was behind 2 other vehicles and it took me 20 minutes before I was even able to order. I thought at first the vehicles in front of me just had large orders until I got to the microphone and waited a whole 5 minutes before they would even take my order, which the gentleman was very rude about. Then, I get to the window and the workers arent wearing masks or gloves. Obviously they didnt learn anything when the health department shut them down because they need shut down again.
Where do I begin? Food wasnt ready that I had ordered through Door Dash almost an hour before I arrived at the restaurant. I was given attitude about ordering additional items separately in the drive thru while there to pick up my Door Dash order, being told very rudely that they dont do add ons to online orders. Apparently it was too difficult to see that I wasnt adding anything to my online order, I was placing an additional order while there to pick up an order that was already paid for. I guess I should have just ordered the additional items, that I only had to order IN the drive thru because they werent available on the menu on the Door Dash app, and THEN told them I was there to pick up my online order.Didnt receive part of my online order, OR the order I placed in drive thru. Tried calling several times to try to let them know, and got a busy tone every time.I returned to collect the rest of my order, only to receive even more attitude and then told the items I was missing from my online order werent available because they just ran out and were still frozen.Worst experience ever and I will never visit or order anything from this restaurant again. What was supposed to be a 45 minute ordeal from the time I placed the order till pick up, turned into a 2 hour nightmare.I even tried giving them the benefit of the doubt being they looked really short staffed and were pretty busy, but, when it came to the rudeness, by who Im assuming was the manager, over something THEY messed up, that I paid for, that was just ridiculous.If I could give 0 stars, I would. Reading through other reviews on here, it seems to be a common/normal thing for this restaurant. Very disappointing.I must say, Door Dash was quick to issue a credit towards our next purchase through the app. Customer service on their end is exceptional. KFC should take notes.
Horrible absolutely horrible extremely rude employees poor management. The service is so ungodly slow. I mean I understand Its chicken and isnt as fast to prepare as to making a burger but Jesus Christ. Also they need to have some better system set up for doordash, grubhub, and uber eats. Bc if youre doing any of those here be prepared to be pushed to the back burner bc these employees here hate dashers and other services like so.
The food dont smell good you can tell it was cooking oil grease because when you get the food instead of your mouth watering your nose be ready to throw the food out the window the chicken was old and still the only thing that was halfway decent might have been a biscuit My 1-year-old didnt even like the mashed potatoes I would not recommend this place at all the food is not good you honestly cant even smell it coming down the street and thats a problem dont eat here you will get sick
Went to the drive thru waited on the team to help people in front of us. 3 cars pulled off due to team members not helping or being fast enough. Got to order, you can hear the members SCREAMING AT each other in the background. Go figure when we order what we want they didnt have it and caught an attitude we ordered anything. We have been in line for 50 minutes now
Wow 😨, Im surprised KFC corporate allows this franchise location to continue to bear its name. It used to be a well run location in my younger days. I feel bad for the people who have to work there now. Its obvious that they lack training or the incentives to care. We like the chicken but Im not sure we want to continue to spend money here.😞
Sat in line and waited for a person ahead of me get 8 big buckets of chicken which is fine but dont make me wait the 12 minutes and the second car from the window. I know they have a side door for a order like that is being served. They think they work hard enough for a $15 salary when they actually work with a $12 brain.
Ordered online via Door dash so i wouldnt have to wait forever.... umm yeah not so much. They need a carside option not just drive thru. 30 mins later i have my food that i already pd for via the app and my chicken tenders look and taste twice cooked (you drk brown, dry and stringy). Wont do that again.
Poorly organized store that has employees that simply dont care about their job and have no motivation. This is probably why it has already been closed twice by the health department within the past year or so. If you want fried chicken, just call The Wagon. They are two blocks away and have the best fried chicken in town.
Waited in line almost an hour just for them to try and not give us one all of our drinks, asked for ranch and was given honey mustard. Didn’t receive my fries that came with my order, and they put Mayo all over my husbands sandwich when we asked for no Mayo. Freaking ridiculous!! We live 25 minutes away so we weren’t able to go back and get our order fixed. Every time we go I swear something is screwed up!!
Never order KFC in decatur, especially through door dash. We are driving for door dash and have to sit in the drive through line to pickup an order someone made online. We sit in the drive through for 10 minutes before getting to the speaker. After telling the person that we are with door dash and placed an order they get hostile and tell us that we need to slow down, that they havent even sent the order to the kitchen yet and that I have an attitude.... mind you I only spoke one sentence informing them that I am with door dash and the name on the order. I wait another 15 minutes before even getting to the window. Where they tell us that they dont even have the order ready.
We waited 10 minutes in the drive through for our order, only to be told that we needed to pull around and wait another 3 minutes for fresh biscuits. Another 10 minutes later, our order still is not ready. When I go inside and ask for a manager, no comes over. Their only saving grace was at least when they handed it to us, they got the order correct. Otherwise it would have been 1 Star.
Ordered two 3pc boxes with 2 sides, received two 2pc boxes. I didnt get a receipt when they returned my card. Asked for receipt, they couldnt because it was down. I would have called about the wrong order, Im sure 2pc box is less than 3pc, but I dont have receipt. They were busy, but line was always moving, server was very nice. Food was good and tasted fresh.
This is the worst place in the world the one on Pershing Road dont ever spend your money here I waited in line here for about 45 minutes and when I got there they told me I could only make one order and then they didnt even get my order right and they asked me over and over and over welcome to Kentucky Fried Chicken can I help you only drive-through is open. I will never ever spend my money there.
I order a nashville style little chicken, a crispy colonel nashville style, a spicy bowl , fries and mac and cheese and the only thing they got right was the fries and they were cold and soggy. I tried to call the store for 30 to 45 min and only got a busy signal the whole time like they took the phone off the hook. I will never order from here again.
Terrible customer service. Order is NEVER right, nor is the chicken cooked all the way. Called corporate in February and never received follow up call. It is now April and STILL no one has made anything right and Ive followed up on my call FOUR times. I will no longer support this business.
Usually this is a very good restaurant, but it was not doing so good that night. The staff was so busy taking care of drive thru customers they neglected their customers inside. When we arrived there were people standing everywhere waiting for their orders. We ordered and set at a table while everyone finally got service and left...We couldnt figure out where our order was. I went to the counter to inquire and it was sitting in the back by the drive through window. They forgot us. The young man apologized and gave me our order. Even though it was lukewarm we were hungary and ate it. My husband said the chicken was not freshly cooked either, (he use to be a KFC manager). This was our first bad experience there because usually they do a good job and the staff is nice.
Truck driver looking for take out. Found this kfc on google, listed as take out and delivery available. I called and asked if that was true, I was assured that yes, until 10:30pm it is. Guess what- doors locked, drive thru only. I was able to order standing at the drive thru window but they were unable to give me a receipt(until I insisted that I need it for taxes). They were able to print one from somewhere else
I was a walk in. Ordered 2 $5 boxes exactly alike. Chicken leg, thigh, green beans not mashed potatoes, unsweetened iced tea.Self serve iced tea was empty, both containers. Counter person ( a very nice young man) said hed get my tea for me.My order was delivered. It was potatoes not green beans. They made the exchange. I failed to check if the box was complete though. When I started to eat, no butter and honey ( even though I asked for it), no napkin or spork ( difficult to eat the beans without it), one tea was unsweetened and the other was sweet!!!So basically they didnt do much correctly. And they werent busy either!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Service here SUCKS. Pretty positive the girl in drive thru was on drugs. We got our food and were missing half of it, and part of it was messed up. Then it took over 20 minutes for us to get the rest of our food that they messed up in the first place. I will not going back anymore. This is an every time occurrence.
The wait was over 10 mins and at least 3 people who came in after me got their orders. I wanted only a chicken breast orginal. After my long wait I was informed that they didnt have any chicken breast orginal. Would I take a extra crispy? I said no they said I could get 4 wings for the same price. I took 3 wings and a chicken leg. The meat on the leg was so dry like the leg was over cooked or had been there for hours . The 2 wings were the size of my thumb and surprise. The third wing I ordered was a thigh. This was the second time I tried eating there. My first experience was no better. Yet, I do love KFC usually sorry this one is not up to the regular standards of other stores
I always have really good service in drive-thru here. Lots to choose from. Try the $5 and $10 box meals!! They have a ton of food and fill you up! Cookies are yummy. Make sure you check your bag before you leave, Ive had a few mishaps where my order was wrong or they left something out, so I always check at drive-thru window before I pull off. Pepsi products also a win for me!!
The 12 piece chicken package was overdone, we had to go to the window to order because they call in button on the other was broke so they must have had a chicken cooked up because it only took about two minutes to get it but it was a little hard and I got the original,
We went inside ordered 2 boxes of chicken one dark one all white meat. Turns out they had no dark meat ask if I would take white i said yes. Then thay came back said they had no white meat. They wanted to know if we would wait until some was done. While we waited thay keept shoving chicken out the drive up window as people would drive up. 5 or 6 cars. They had chicken for them but not the customers inside the store. The floors were dirty and a/c vents were leaking on to the floor. Well they Finley brought our order and guess what only 1/2 done. We through it away. Will never go back. NASTY!!
Took forever as usual, forgot my biscuit, and forgot my silverware. Every time I’m here it’s something different.*AND AS I SAID SOMETHING DIFFERENT ONCE AGAIN. EVERYTIME IM CHARGED A DIFFERENT PRICE FOR RHE SAME MEAL. AND THEY MESSED IT UP THIS TIME, SO I JUST PAID MORE FOR WHAT I DIDNT EVEN WANT. It was horrible they were out of pot pies because manager told my husband no 1 made them & we had 2 wait 30 minutes 4 our food Decatur Illinois Pershing road KFC. Before my husband went in I went n & they kept looking at me & ignoring me. They were laughing & carrying on. So my husband went n.
Just the worst ever. There was 3 managers there at 145p.m. Sitting at a table, 32 minutes into waiting on 3 chicken sandwiches with no pickles, I asked whats the average wait on these . So another 10 minutes later i got 2 sandwiches with pickles. Save your money and your time, go anywhere else.
I give them 4 stars only because I didnt eat their tonight .. they close at 9 and its 9:30 now and they are still surviving customer that in its self is worth 4 out of 5 !!! Most places wil say nope close at 9 sorry .. so if any one after 9 complains they should not!!! Because they could have said no!!!! Awesome job KFC you rock !!!
The service is TERRIBLE. My food was COLD and I had to have it replaced. But the worst thing is that this place is FILTHY. DIRTY. I have contacted KFC Corporate about how awful it is and will NEVER, EVER eat there again. If I could give this place zero or negative stars, I would!
Food was terrible pieces were very small and irregular.....chicken legs looked like pigeon legs....ordered extra crispy but was certainly not that!!!! Cole slaw was terrible!!!! Overall chicken tasted bland with no seasoning....really sad because we had another location in Decatur that was closed and the food was much better there!!! Will never eat there again if I want chicken will go to another town!!!!
Now I know why I really dont care to visit this place, they cant hear correctly, they call me mam instead of sir, they get rude with their customers, need I say more? Enuff said. For those of you that may have a better experience, count your blessings. Idk how many times Ive had to come bk because my order was messed up because they dont answer their phones because they know they screwed up
POOR, very disappointing. I was in the drive up 6/26/15 at 7:17 pm per ticket number 1739. While in the drive up I placed my order and ws proceeding thru when a cr came into the drive up. The ca was driven by a white female. She cut in the drve thru line and was allowed by the drive up enployee to place her order. When asked why she was allowed to place the order the mployee had no reson but assured me she did not know the driver. Hwever as the female esa leaving three male employeesmce to the drive up window . The female blew kisses tothem they all smiled and waved as she pulled away.Is this the customer service provided at the location. Decatur has lost three other location because of por service and poor food quality. Now I have this to contend with when I want KFC. All of this taking place with a Popeye chicken less than a mile away. I wil be doing more with dining at Popeyes chicken in the future. Typical Decatur customer service.....Loyal but fast leaving customer

2022-02-04KFC food is pretty standard and this location follows the KFC cook book. We ate in the dining area and each of us had fried chicken and a side.. KFC has the best slaw in the world! This location needs a good cleaning. Masks were not worn properly by employees. That is the only reason I gave it a 3 stars.

2022-02-20Horrible experience. I ordered the beyond chicken nuggets meal and got home just to see that they were old. the fries were so dry couldn’t even chew the chicken nuggets I called them 6 times and not once did they answer. It’s not fair how they find it okay to give you the food that somebody else ordered but didn’t get. I order my food to be fresh not sitting out and then recooked

2022-02-10Was in on wed evening around 5 to get a 4 piece chicken meal. I ordered all white meat with an extra side of gravy. When I got home I discovered I received the dinner as it was supposed to come and not all white meat like I had ordered or paid for. Tried calling since I live An HR away and of course no one answered. Tried again today and no answer so I am leaving them a 1 star. I will be going back in tomorrow since I work in Decatur and I am demanding my funds back..

2022-06-20This has got to be one of the worst fast food restaurants in Decatur.. first- the place is designing and run down. Second- there hasn’t been a single time that they have gotten my order correct, there is always something missing. Third- it takes 30+ min for something that should only take less than 5 min. To make… (fries, chicken sandwich etc.). Fourth- 90% of the time the employee(s) are extremely rude and unwilling to help resolve missing meal items or incorrect order. KFC I know is just a fast food chain, but this is something that is really inexcusable. Serving raw or undercooked chicken is a serious health risk, so it room temp chicken that’s been sitting for hours. There are specific guidelines for food storage and this is far from meeting those basic standards. I enjoy KFC when it’s in a clean environment, appropriately handled and stored food and at least employees who are willing to help fix their mistakes. This place needs a TON of work to even get close to reasonable. It sad bc I think most people enjoy KFCs menu but the quality coming from this particular store is far from acceptable..

2022-05-12I typical dont complain but its pretty bad there. I ordered the 8 piece bucket meal and they charged me for side lovers, I told the lady at the drive thru thats not what I ordered, she said well I already rung it up. I had been in line 35 minutes at this point, she said they would make it right and adjust my charge. I dont know what she did but a $22 dollar meal cost me $32 and we were missing the fries and mac n cheese which she said they would throw in for the inconvenience. I could see through the window the filth on the floors and equipment. Im so disgusted with the place I wont be returning. Shame on management and the owner.

2022-03-09The past several times I have come to this KFC in the drive up they gave me chicken that was not hot. Also the chicken taste like it had been old and not fresh I am very disappointed with the current quaity of there product..Yesterday I got 2 three PC combos one all white one mixed. the mixed was all dark meat. The mashed potatoes gravy Was so salty I could not eat it. I informed the sever that my previous orders had tasted old she told me the manager was not there. When I got home with my take out I tried to call the store to complain about the quality but know one would answer the phone I called several times over 3 hours on answer. Shame on you KFC

2022-03-08My family and I decided to get a 16pc crispy chicken for dinner tonight. As soon as we ordered and got back home we were missing our Mac and cheese side. I left to go back. Had to wait a hour just to get the side! After I finally made it home my family finally sat down at the table to eat. Then, we noticed, the Mac and cheese was just mixed and reheated in the microwave, mashed potatoes weren’t done right and the chicken was still pink!!! WE WILL NEVER GO TO THIS KFC EVER AGAIN!!! I URGE OTHERS TO KEEP THIS IN MIND BEFORE SPENDING $50 WORTH OF CHICKEN!!!

2022-07-02Absolutely horrible, I used to love kfc , but tonight it was so gross, chicken undercooked and slimmy , gravy wasnt even brown in color but yellow the only thing I could eat was the biscuit, never again will I eat there again
