Awesome trails great hiking.😁
Ive always loved this park. Its nice and peaceful and you get to see all the sights and sounds of nature. Love seeing all of the wildlife that you normally dont see everyday. We were out there today for the Education Personnel Federal credit Union picnic. It was a nice token of appreciation for all of the members and staff. Just wish that the weather would have cooperated.

Kennekuk is a great park. There is so much to do here. Cook outside, trails, fishing, hiking, biking. It is kid friendly. They have a bathroom with plumbing (by the train car). Its a great place to spend the day
Kennekuk is a peaceful beautiful park. They need to build in more fishing from the bank access spots for Lake Mingo. If you dont have a boat, there arent many places to fish from.

Beautiful scenery. More of a prarie style setting. Great trails for hiking or just a walk. Usually always some type of activity durring the summer season. Also a old timey town set up with a general store, church, and school from the horse and wagon days, only open durring certain times. They also have great christmas lights durring the holidays.
Great park with lots to do including hiking, boating, and fishing. Definitely check out the area called Bunker Hill for a look back at how towns looked in this area a hundred years ago. Very cool!

Had an amazing time at Kennekuk Cove. My family had a surprise 50th birthday party for me.
People of Vermilion County Illinois are very lucky to have so many parks and especially Kennekuk. Our group enjoyed the walk in the park and a nice luncheon with a great atmosphere.

Beautiful park for observing nature, walking trails, or fishing. Some of the playgrounds and Pavilions are a little dated though.
One of my favorite parks nearby my house. I have spent many many weekends walking the lake mingo trail.
The Howl at the Moon Ultra Trail race is held here. Wonderful venue and the park is great.
I went to this park a lot when I was growing up around Danville. I enjoy going back for a family reunion each year.
Music to loud. Exceeds the legal limits. Look at the age average of the crowd. Many people left. We will not come back next time.
Fantastic place. A county run facility in very good condition. A lot of Wildlife, fishing, and trail running.
Nice place to fish but maybe didnt have the right eqipment to catch alot of fish. I did catch a nice bull head tho
Had a wedding and reception at the red barn. Wonderful event space with modern equipment.

2022-05-28It was a beautiful well signed place. It was easy to tell where we were going! It has picnic spots, and an old historic town, and an herb garden. One could spend all day here!

2019-05-06I’ve hiked the Lake Mingo Trail a few times now and I’ve enjoyed it every time. It is pretty long (7 miles) and a bit challenging at times. There can be a lot of really muddy/wet spots. The last mile or so of the trail is pretty weird as it circled back to the start but still one of my favorite hikes in central IL. There isn’t really anything else of interest in the park.

2018-08-30An open-air museum is very cool if you want to experience the real America! I felt like I traveled to the past! Thanks to the ladies who run the historical buildings I’ve learned a lot about the life people had in the past.

2021-11-08This is a great park to visit. They have stores from back in the day, a church, a school, a train station and a old house. You can only tour these places by looking through the windows. It one of the coolest places Ive visited in a long time. I would highly recommended this park to others. Also, a great place to take special occasions photo shots!

2020-10-19We enjoy using the buildings here. We have all our family parties here. We have been renting them for the past 5 years. They have reasonable rates, clean buildings, and the employees are very friendly and helpful. My Son and Daughter in Law was Married here. Awesome Place.
