Usually love Kebab House. We got lentil soup, excellent as usual. Got the signature salad with chicken breast. Smaller than usual and no Greek olives, which are listed for this salad. The dressing didnt have the tangy taste that very was always so good. Disappointing.
First time here. Ordered the family diner box for four people. It came with rice, meat, yogurt sauce, pizza bread, hummus and bread. It was supposed to come with falafel but they ran out so they gave us something else. Everything was delicious! Staff very was nice too. Definitely going back.
Unfamiliar with this area and my usual place was closed so I took a little drive down in this strip to see if we could find another place to eat. So glad I did. This place was clean, great food, friendly service. I will be back. We got a gyro, lunch meat sampler, and they have complimentary bread to eat. Great value! If you like gyros, please try this place.
We went in and there were two available tables. We were told that it would take 10 minutes to clean and then no one came out to clean it. We waited for a while to see if anyone would come to clean it and they didn’t. We got up and decided to leave and as I looked back a women came out to clean it. It was an awkward and horrible experience and the whole time it seemed as though they wanted us to leave. Ps. There were many people around eating so it wasn’t as though they were about to close.
Had a pretty bad experience. Ordered Yogurt adana lamb kebab and iskender. Kebabs were super cold and and the bread under it was stale. I complained and got it replaced. The replaced food didnt actually look like it was fresh at all. They replaced the kebab on top of the previous plates stale bread. Both the dishes were disappointing!! Only good thing was the freshly baked complimentary side of bread.
I had a donner kebab, which was tasty. This was accompanied by bread with oil & herbs which was superb. I dined not long before closing on a Sunday, so it was quiet, food, service and value for mainly was good, I would look to return the next time I am in the Bensenville area.
Where to begin. We ordered for pickup. We ended up waiting 40 mins from the time they told us to pick up. One of the orders was wrong and the chicken kebab was totally burnt. The food was also cold. The worst part is, there was hair in one of the dishes. So disappointed. Wish I can do 0 stars.
Went yesterday for the first time for take out... initially wanted the chicken kebabs but was told that they would take 30 minutes due to the one cook being buried in tickets. I changed my order to the gyro based on information from the guy at the counter.Food was hot, well prepared and fresh. I will most likely call ahead or order online next time.
I am a pretty regular customer and I usually order takeout. Overall, the food is very good, I like that you use only chicken breast and the meat is clean. However, I have recently noticed that something has changed in the food. I don’t know if you have a new cook or you just changed the way food is prepared. But the way the food tastes now seems to be different. Last time the salad was extremely greasy with nothing else as a dressing just oil. Also, I usually order chicken pita kebabs which was very good but now it is VERY DRY with almost no garlic sauce and barely any lettuce. Is that a way to make me purchase additional garlic sauce?! You also used to include a few pieces of bread along with every order. Last time I got 4-5 tiny pieces and today I did not even get any.
We had another great evening at Kebab House tonight. Great new outdoor seating area with nice tables & patio lights. We were so comfortable & having such a good time that we didnt want to leave. Have been going here for a few years now. The food is so delicious, everything is fresh and presentation is so appetizing! The quality of the food is excellent, and everything Ive tried tastes amazing. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of the food. If you like Mediterranean food, you will love it here. Even if you think you dont like Mediterranean food, you will be pleasantly surprised.
I had their gyro and it was very good. This is the first time I’ve eaten a gyro in wrap form...used to the pita type. I guess the wrap is good since there might be less carbs than is in a pita slice? Anyway, the sauce was a bit thinner than I’m used to (doesn’t mean it was bad...it was good). I would define at here again if I’m out that way.
Must try. Dont be deceived by the looks from outside. Its a small place but a hidden jewel. Its the only authenic turkish place in the suburbs i think. Loved thier hummus, dolmas, mixed kababs and lamb shank. They also serve a fresh baked turkish bread in the begining at all the tables, thats also awesome. Definitely recommend.
Delicious, healthy, and uniquely authentic!I’ve been to many Mediterranean restaurants but I haven’t been to one that offered this many dishes I’ve never tried before. In addition to getting to try new tastes, the food’s premium presentation caught me off guard considering the reasonable cost. Major kudos to the staff there for surprising me with this gem of a restaurant and I definitely recommend!!!
Great food I love the chicken pita but the wait time is crazy. Many times iv haven’t ordered came by in 15 mins and had to wait another 10-15 to get my food consuming my whole lunch period. They should really work on gettig the food out fasterUpdateThis is probably the last time I will ever order form here, the food just take to long. And this may have been because they are busy. But I called the order in and the lady told me 25 mins I came 30 mins later and still forced to wait 15 mins for the food. This is crazy long i have a lunch break for 30 mins and I can’t even enjoy the food
Review is for the food which is delicious. The restaurant would benefit from some love, and more staff. Tables were uncleared at 7pm on a Friday night. Scene behind the counter looked like a bio issue.Take out was delayed. As just one girl had to deal with takeout, cleaning tables and phone orders. Clearly authentic and quality cooking, let down by haphazard organisation
My partner & I love this place. We ordered for the first time last night. I got the doner plate and I would like to offer a congratulations to whatever genius came up with QUARANTINE FRIES 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 well done both delicious & relevant. Heads up the give you a metric tonne of food so pro tip: ask for extra sauce
This lively restaurant provided an authentic Turkish experience with its cuisine and its atmosphere. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly, even offering free samples of potential menu items. The meat was marinated well and the doughnut-shaped falafels were crispy and fresh. Each dish my friends and I ordered maintained a consistently high quality. The Turkish lights were also a great touch for the overall aesthetic of the restaurant. Great for families and for casual dining.
I placed an order for carryout and when I arrived, I was told that my order had been given to someone else by mistake. Instead of issuing an apology or some sort of compensation for the inconvenience, I was told to come back after 20 minutes. So, not only did I return to work late, I had to eat my lunch very quickly. Overall the food was very good, but the experience not so much.
We came to this spot for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was delicious. We loved this spot a lot and we shall definitely come back again. Keep it up.
The food here is great, I brought my family in and they absolutely loved it. We were in turkey over the summer and the food here took us back to turkey. We tried the baklawa too and had to take some home with us because of how amazing it is. We live about 45 min away and it was definitely worth the trip. This place is a must try. I know for sure that we will be coming back .
This is a wonderful place in an area where we were going for a friends wedding. So it is way out west of Chicago. I was meeting a long time friend that I have not seen there, so for that purpose it was actually perfect. We went and and we ordered an appetizer that had what seemed like pita bread but wood fired, with red pepper and other spices on top. It was actually very good, I wish I can remember its name though, it was Turkish name (makes sense!). We also ordered their in-house made hummus spread, and it was actually super delicious. We loved it. We also ordered the mixed grill option, which actually had chicken, beef, lamb, kufta, and also Adana meat. I was wonderful. It had just the right amount of rice with meat and a few other vegetables. So I would recommend it for sure, for either the dine-in or the takeout options.
We came to this restaurant for a meeting. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The crew were very polite and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.
First time dining here, very satisfied with the selection of food and Delicious Taste. The Adana Yogurt Lamb tastes extremely great as well as the veggies combo. The kebab portion in the Mixed Grill plate was bit stiff and chewy though. Overall experience is very satisfactory; I highly recommend this place
Had a Gyro sandwich, fries, and drink for under $10. They actually warmed the pita, something other places forget, and thick cut the meat. The food was very tasty. The young waitress was very sweet and made sure to check on us regularly, as she did with every patron. Very warm atmosphere, not too busy and would love to visit again next time Im in town!
I celebrated my nomination last night in this great place. happy to tell that we had a great evening and the place was no doubt one of the reasons for the strong gathering. The stuff collaborated in a splendid manner, the cuisine was appetizing and my buddies were extremely delighted. We shall no dout come back again for more events. thanks very much.
Great customer service, and amazing food! I always get beef manti from here (which is like ravioli but in spiced yogurt) and Ive noticed that they changed how they cooked it each time but it tasted delicious nonetheless! Their dessert (kezandabi) is also really good- its not too sweet and I love it. Highly recommend this place!
Me and wife come to this restaurant about once a month. Their food and service is awesome. The kebabs are tender, the rice flavorful, the appetizers excellent especially the freshly baked bread with olive oil that is complementary is exceptional. I even love their chicken wings and French fries. Both are oozing flavor. If I could I would have given this place more than 5 stars.
I had some maintenance being done at the Honda dealer so i decided to eat lunch here. When i walked in i was immediately greeted and felt very welcome at the location. There lunch menu looked delicious and the prices were not that bad. I was immediately served their bread and olive oil which was awesome and i ordered the chicken kabob plate. The meal was excellent and perfect for lunch. I would definitely come to this location again and recommend it. Friendly staff and great food.
This place is a hidden gem, we found them on Google after moving to the northwest burbs and we are so glad we stopped in .Everything we ordered was on point and ended up choosing them to cater our nikkah ceremony. Amir, the owner was more than helpful when answering questions You gotta check this spot out.
Oh. My. Gawd. This place is a HIDDEN GEM!! Such good food, amazing service from Amir... I got the Imam Bayildi, and it came with fresh made bread and extraordinary olive oil. The eggplant itself was expertly cooked - tender without being mushy, and the amount of flavor packed into the dish blew me away. The ambience is perfect for a business lunch, date, or a quick bite. Ill definitely be back!
Called a big order in early in the morning and made sure to stress it needed to be done before lunch, they said it would be no problem, long story short I waited there for a half hour, the girl who ran the register was very apologetic and nice but still the wait was annoying. HOWEVER everything was delicious. If I didnt have to wait so long i would have definitely given 5 stars.
Heard many good things about this place the new owner and management is trying there best to make everything awesome and delicious gonna try the platter for our family party the one that feeds for 7-9 people they are closer to me than the restaurants far away like in Bridgeview and Chicago hopefully this week will call in and order for pick up :) I can’t wait. And whenever I go out with my friends will bring them here for lunch and dinner :) thanks guys.
Not sure if this place is under new management or what but the execution is lacking now. I purchased a gyro sandwich and the meat was abused terribly on the grill. I called to tell them of my experience and no attempt to make the situation right was offered. I gor an apology but that wasnt enough. Too bad...they disappointed a steady customer ....no more.Falafels are what brought me to this place. Because they were executed so nicely, I decided to go back and try the rest of their offerings. I was not disappointed. Kebabs are flame broiled and juicy, the falafels are crunchy yet moist on the inside. Theyre doing it correctly here.
Ordered my food at 1:39pm and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. 25 minutes later and Im still sitting here waiting. Im writing this review before trying the food because if the service is horrible, it doesnt matter how good the food is. It would be completely understandable if they had a lunch rush, but I have been the only customer in the building for the entirety of the wait. I work very close with 60 employees who are constantly ordering food for lunch. I sat and watched four other employees, including the owner/manager on duty eat while I sat and waited. This place will be crossed off our list.I just now received my order, 30 minutes after the time on the receipt, and was not apologized to or anything of that sort. This place wont survive.
Food was good. However, I ordered online and opted to pay in store. Once I arrived I was asked if I had cash instead of paying with a card which I didnt have. I was then told that because I was paying with a card they needed to charge me an extra 15%! I asked if that was listed online as I knew I didnt see that or else I wouldve paid beforehand and the woman said no. Very misleading as 15% is a hefty amount to upcharge just for using a card. Not pleased with that or how it was handled.
I ordered through ubereats.Iskender and Lahmacun are definitely not good and nothing similar to Turkish food. My baklavas were missing. I gave 2 stars because of the sucuklu pide which was only an average taste and they barely add any sucuk in it. Will not order again.
I never thought the day would come but - There is a good restaurant in Bensenville, Illinois!!!! Went for dinner with the significant other on a Thursday night (last night). I legitimately expected nothing because everything in this town has disappointed me. However, do not let my low expectations mar my praise of this legitimately high quality eatery. First of all, its sparkling clean. Smells good when you walk in, tables are clean and bathrooms are clean. Service is unfussy but attentive. I dont expect to be coddled. I like to be taken care of but I like to be left alone. Ive held damn near every position in the restaurant industry and I personally HATE long table presentations before a meal. I think theyre gimmicky, waaay too trendy, tacky and invasive. The young lady checked on us often but left us alone enough to have a quiet meal - perfect for us. Oddly enough, I know two of the people who wrote reviews prior to tasting the food. First of all, I would suggest a change of the ol rag between the legs. Second of all, big mistake. Everything was fresh, prepared perfectly and presented simply and pleasantly. No SYSCO factory meat here. With good ingredients the cooks job is not to screw them up. Gyros are seasoned simply, well portioned and delicious. Not the greasy frat halfwit in town from college gut bombs you find everywhere else around here. Tzatziki is fresh. Rice is barely seasoned and, again, perfectly prepared. No need to mess with it. Delicious. Chicken also seasoned simply with oil, salt, pepper and lemon. All of the flavors stand out and the chicken was moist and tender. Hard to do with the dry white meat we have in the states. Falafel was awesome and not too dry. The little gyro loaf burger thingy was delicious. Lamb and beef kebabs, again - seasoned simply, cooked perfectly. Slight taste of fire - perfect. Side salad was fresh and seasoned well. No complaints here and thats saying a lot. If you read my other reviews, youll quickly realize Im not really a nice guy. If you want some Chia Pet microgreen haircut hipster-friendly joint where your server is going to hold your junk - go somewhere else. If I could have any complaints, I guess the pita bread could be baked in house and the custard doesnt need any chocolate. Its brie texture, buttery-caramel flavor and flambed top speak for itself. No need to drown it out with chocolate, in my opinion. Expect great mostly authentic Mediterranean food, simply prepared - in an unexpected place. Leftovers reheat well and this place is pretty cheap to eat at. Less than $40 for two people, multiple beverages and dessert. Solid. *feedback from dropped mic*
Probably one of the best Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern restaurant in Chicago. There lunch special is delight and its also the one you can see below (image) it comes with 2 piece of Chicken Kabob, 2 piece of beef Kabob and 2 piece lamb Kabob, 2 pieces of gyro.Food is so beautiful decorated that sometimes i cant help but to photograph it. 😁
First batch of bred was really good we ordered mix kebabs lahmacun and sucuklu pide and humus for appetizer humus was awesome lahmacun was horrible sucuk wasnt cooked mix kebab was horrible except the chicken chicken was ok. On food they failed but the server was great thats why she earned them a extra star
Foods are named after Turkish foods. Got mixed grill and long hair was free thanks to that. 4 adult and 4 kids charged %20 tip which we did not want to give 1$ tip. Lahmacun was horrible. Overall this place is not Turkish and foods are not Turkish. Donnot judge Turkish foods after you come to this location. Bu yerdeki yemeklerin adlari turk ama tatlari ve goruntuleri igrenc.
I have been craving for a falafel and so glad I checked this place! Not only did I get my falafel fix..had a great Baba Ganush and Shish, I got to try their very ecletic Kazandibi - truly a yummy treat I finished everything up w/ black Turkish Tea! Great place, great food, great service! I cant wait to come back (:
Ibrahim was one of the best waiters Ive ever had , in his memory of every order since there was three of us was perfect, and we got exactly what we ordered, and the chicken was extremely moist and easy to cut through with a fork I substituted the rice for more salad and I are also ordered the meat combination , and also the mixed grill, everything was perfect , we also ordered yogurt with cucumber, me being from 11 on background their baba ganoush and the yogurt was perfectly done. Any bring you complementary bread. I highly recommend this place I was here on February 16th 2016 if you dont come here you be wasting your money
I think they have good food theyre babaganoush is amazing, Im giving them a 3 because their service is always so lousy and it needs some remodeling especially in the bathrooms ( its always gross in there) when I see the place not so clean I cant help but wonder what their kitchen looks like.

2021-12-14The food selection is great, had a terrific scan menu that even allowed you to pay. I really liked the flavors, but unfortunately my kabob was dry and overcooked. I will still come back and try again, there was a lot of great flavors.

2021-05-27Good food. Good experience. Bathrooms messed up by the end of the night. Friendly workers. Chicken kabob and rice was delicious. Vinaigrette dressing was very mild. No tang. Boring. Oil with lemon served with bread was an unusual taste—not used to that. I expected the bread to be a home thrown kiln style, which would make this a five star visit. Baklava was good but heavier on the cinnamon than the Greek version. They make it in house. Great work ! A little cleaner would push this to five stars also. Red lentil soup was unusually delicious !!
