Ive been there many times, and sometimes find stuff that I like, but more often not. They have a number of second-hand designer purses for sale, and Ive wondered about the authenticity of some of them. Today, I got a Canadian Weather Gear jacket that looked like a well-known brand, and discovered that it was a cheap knockoff that had been the subject of a trademark infringement lawsuit. Of course, I wasnt allowed to return it. This was too sketchy for my liking, so I probably wont be back.
Well I wasnt happy. Today I saw a pair of boots that I waited to ho on sale. Today that boot was 75 percent off. The sign said no rain boots or cowboy boots. These boots met all criteria. They said well we arent going to sell the boots.
Utterly worthless for mens clothing. I brought in 20 pairs of jeans and nice khakis in good condition (the waistlines shrank :D ), spent $15 laundering them, and didnt make a penny.
Found exactly what I needed when I needed it at a fantastic price! Extensive selection of quality items in a wide range of sizes & price points. No hassle fitting room & terrific staff. Will be a regular customer now & in the future!

Gently used clothing items/shoes for sale at reasonable prices with regular seasonal sales. I have found a ton of great deals here; its my go-to place!

Personnel are rude. Especially one, that I believe is one of the owners. I brought items in, had questions regarding items and she went on to tell me she didnt want to take anything that would require her to have a 20 minute conversation with a customer regarding the item. Sorry my items cause you to work...going elsewhere from here forward.
The staff is super nice and friendly and willing to help answer any and all questions! They also have amazing items!
The person that answered the phone was Katie and she was very pleasant and informative.

2021-06-25First, the manager is incredibly unprofessional. She and another associate could not bother to stop their conversation about someones kid being taken by CPS while I was filling out my consignment paperwork (I couldnt believe my ears). Nonetheless, I stayed and stood in the store for 15 minutes putting my clothes on hangers. (i was not told this was a requirement prior to my appointment.). I brought 30 to 40 items from brands like Express, Levis, Buckle, and some were from less popular European brands ( I recently lost over 50 pounds and am looking to over haul my wardrobe). I looked around the store to get an idea of what items they sell and I saw some low end items and an item with a hole so i thought i would have no issues selling at least some my items. Wrong... They took none of my items and the manger claimed they were too old. When I told her that some of my items were no more than 1 year old with the tags still on them she said they may have been overlooked because they have so many clothes to get to despite the fact that I waited 2 weeks to have my clothes looked at!Unless your items take less than 5 minutes to look through and you dont mind wasting your time being subjected to inconsistent buying practices dont bother. I had to drive 30 minutes out to Brellas Boutique were i was able to sell 21 items and they offered to donate the rest.Ill be going there from now on.Karens closets was a huge waste of my time.

2020-09-15I brought about 15-20 items in and they were all name brand and like new. One of the pairs Alone of jeans was a pair of Miss Me jeans from the Buckle that I never wore because they didn’t fit but I had lost the receipt. Those were $110 new. And that was just one of the items. The rest were Nike, adidas and under armor work our clothes and some nice shirts from the buckle, Loft, express, etc. I brought it in for the quick buy where they give you money right then and then sell the clothes. Not as consignment. They offered me $35 dollars!!! It was probably $1000 worth of like new clothes. At Platos Closet, I’ve received $80 for 10 items before. They seriously are a ripoff and try to screw you over.

2021-08-25I had a fantastic experience shopping in this store. It is very clean, there are changing rooms available, and the selection of clothes/brands is outstanding! I got some awesome pieces when I visited on Saturday.

2019-04-25This is a great place to shop for gently worn clothes. The quality of the clothing is always in excellent condition and the prices are reasonable - especially when you can find sales (I got a bunch of brand name clothes for $3 a piece). The store is clean and pretty well organized. The fitting rooms are many and good sized. The staff are friendly. Ive only been in over my lunch hour, but oldies music is always playing. All in all, its a nice atmosphere. Only downside is that the sales are all final - no returns.

2020-01-24Id give 10 stars if I could. This place is phenomenal. They have a great selection of inventory and they get the best items!! The pricing can not be beat. Very fair for such quality designer items and they run sales all the time. Its my most favorite store. What really stands it apart is the customer service. Ive been shopping here for at least 3 years now and every interaction has been stellar. The ladies are so kind and friendly. So willing to help. They are family friendly and have always made me feel more than welcome. I no longer live in Champaign but I get Facebook updates and its seriously so easy to either shop on-line or call in and they couldnt be nicer, more helpful and they ship to me. I love love love them and cant say enough positive things. You will not be disappointed.

2021-06-25The manager is rude. I had a question about a potential purchase and a simple question about the return policy that one of the employees couldnt answer. I felt rushed and was met with a dismissive attitude as if she could care less about my business.

2018-12-04I love Karens. Karen, Mary, Rita and the rest of the associates are always very pleasant and helpful. Its my go to first stop shop for all my apparel needs. They carry a variety of name brand and designer fashions, in various sizes that are affordable. I always find what Im looking for in addition to some rare exclusive finds as well. Looking forward to my next visit.

2017-05-05The first few times I consigned with Karens Kloset, I had great experiences. Im young and buy trendy, better brand clothes. I aged out of taking my clothes to Platos - where I always had great service and they almost always took 90% of my clothes - and a friend recommended I bring my clothes here. I would easily make $50-100 for a haul of clothes. Today I took about 30 pieces of my own clothes and my husbands casual tops. About half our pieces were new with tags, and brands were Limited, Ralph Lauren, and Express. But what did KK take? My old workout clothes from Target and Old Navy. They told me to iron my NWT items and bring them back.I get it and I dont. They probably get tons of clothes, and they want to do as little work as possible. (I had steamed most of the clothes before I brought them, but clothes wrinkle pretty easily when youre hauling them across town. But I suppose thats beside the point.) But I left with a really strange feeling that my old workout tops are better sellers than brand new, with tags, name brand clothes.My consignment days are over. Id rather give my nice clothes to someone who needs them, instead of burning gas and time trying to guess what will be accepted and prepare accordingly.Like someone else mentioned, I have had some negative experiences in the past. My experience today was alright, but in the past, some employees have told me they wont look at clothes that arent on hangers so you can take that back home. I own a business and I cant imagine being so dismissive to vendors or customers. Perhaps the market for second-hand is just very different from the market for new stuff.

2019-09-04I bought a silk blouse. When I got home I noticed a rip along the whole seam. The manager wouldnt refund or give me a store credit. I was very unhappy. Its a designer name brand shop I paid more. Poor customer service. I wont be returning.
