This is my new favorite salon! Everything is very clean and the staff is so friendly! I have very thick and very difficult hair to work with, and Linsey (the stylist who did my hair) was very knowledgeable was happy to help me find a style and cut and products to help tame my mane! My hair looks AMAZING and I am beyond pleased with the quality of the service this salon and its stylists have to offer! Would HIGHLY recommed this salon to anyone looking for professional, friendly, and knowledgeable beauty services.

The owner, Amber,is amazing here!! Always gets my husband and I in for an appointment last minute when I come to town. She is always working to do the best possible job and give her clients exactly what they ask for. Every color and cut Ive gotten from her has looked exactly like I wanted. She often suggests and explains things that would look good on my hair, but doesnt pressure me into anything. She is highly skilled and has been doing hair since she was 16. The prices are so affordable and they always carry the newest and best hair products in the store. They are very knowledgable about what works for what type of hair and can help you figure out what products will make your hair work and look the way you want it to.She also styled my hair for my wedding and although I didnt know exactly what I wanted but gave her a vague description and some pictures from Pinterest. She came up with a design that I absolutely loved. It was exactly what I had imagined and went well with the style of my dress. She even coached my mom, maid of honor, and I on how to put in and take out the veil without messing anything up, which was very helpful.My husband and I both highly recommend her for your hair styling/ cut/ color needs!!
Kaylee Wilson is absolutely AMAZING woth hair and makeup!!! She has also done so great with both of my little boys and has done both of their first haircuts!!! All the ladies there make you feel very welcome and it is an overall awesome salon!!!

I love getting pampered at Joseph Matthews! All the staff is kind, courteous, and welcoming. I cant imagine going anywhere else. I have always seen Amber, but I would make an appointment with any of the other stylists if needed.
Linsey gave me the best haircut of my life, Im so fresh now I need an expiration date. Highly recommended, should have tipped more.

2022-06-27I have been using this salon for four years now and Ive never had a bad experience. As a matter of fact, I drive about 45 minutes out of the way to use this specific salon after moving to another city. They have pretty good prices and everyone there is knowledgeable of their craft. Amber has taken good care of me over the years and has been flexible with emergencies when she can be. I dont think I could trust anyone with my hair the way I do with them.

2021-02-09I absolutely love this salon. I am from out of town and thankfully was able to come down to visit family. While in town I immediately made an appointment with Nikki because she cut my hair the last time I was in town and I loved every second with her. I can’t stress this enough; go to this salon and ask for Nikki. She listens to your concerns and ideas for what you want for your hair and she makes those ideas a reality. She is absolutely amazing 💕💕

2021-06-25We had the best experience with the Joseph Mathews hair and makeup team for my daughter’s wedding. Having them travel to our location was amazing!Amber and Linsey created the most beautiful updos that were flawless and stayed secure through all night of dancing. Nikki and Felicia gave us all beautiful makeup that did not melt off even with 100 degree weather!Thank you all for making us all feel beautiful and confident. We truly enjoyed the lighthearted and humor you all brought to the day! 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone!😁

2020-06-17Linsey is amazing!!! My two best friends get their hair done by her and recommended me after my grandma retired from the beauty business. I was super nervous about anyone else doing my hair, but I am so THANKFUL I found her because she has been AMAZING every time. I have loved my hair and she did my hair for my wedding! Absolutely love her! Highly recommend!

2020-06-09Nikki has my curly hair looking better than ever! Ive always had trouble with getting my texture right, but Nikki knows how! She just chopped about 8 in off and Ive never felt cuter 🙌 love her, love her style, love her personality! Definitely go see her if you need some good in your life

2020-02-23Highly recommend Nikki! She did an amazing job on my hair when I wanted to try some more adventurous colors. I am so blown away by the amazing results and I love my hair so much. If you want someone who is stylish, fun and knows what shes doing this is your place and nikki is your girl!!! I wont be going anywhere else ever again which is a pretty big deal because I havent had a consistent hair stylist in years. Thanks so much again Nikki youre THE BOMB!

2020-08-02Nikki cut my daughter’s hair and was super sweet, attentive, and did a great job with the cut itself! She conversed with my kiddo and myself and took the time to show her their colored clip in extensions. Linsey did my color and I’m a natural brunette but sport a silvery blonde do-it’s no easy task to lift this hair, but she was awesome! These girls go above and beyond their call of duty and they have made a lifelong client!

2020-08-21Today was my first time visiting. I’m 52 and on that verge of what I should or should not do with my hair due to getting older. I was also tired of paying extremely high St Louis prices to end up feeling ehh about my hair. Nikki was stylist. She listened to my wants and concerns. She talked me thru everything she was doing and her thoughts as well. And she did an absolutely wonderful job. I received a cut and partial foil. It turned out better than I have ever had. No complaints.If you’re on the fence about your hair , tired of paying extremely high prices ( especially during Covid) and want someone to listen to you ....check out this place. Ask for Nikki. You won’t be sorry. 💯

2019-02-13So I never thought I would drive nearly an hour to have my hair done, but Linsey is well worth the trip. She has always known EXACTLY how to work with my often difficult styles and unique color requests, and, has introduced me to the products that help me keep up with the daily maintenance that goes into it. I highly recommend making the trip for the knowledge and talent that she has to offer!

2019-03-29I absolutely love this salon its nice relaxing and comfortable. My sisters and I all see Kaylee she is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to accommodate you and definitely helped me get enough strength to cut my hair after almost 4 years of damage. I recommend her to anyone!!
