I have been shopping at Jewel for more than 20 years. Its my grocery store.
I stopped there today at 7 am and asked for a tedious meat order at the butcher counter. The gentleman that helped me was more than patient, very courteous and took care of my order with a smile. Everyone I interact with at this Jewel always provides top quality customer service ! 5 stars !
Had to unfortunately wait 15 minutes for someone to show at Customer Service/Western Union desk to pickup Jewel online order which included a dozen roses for Valentines.
I have always had problems with this particular OSCO. I once boycotted Jewel for 10 years because of THIS pharmacy.Todays visit resulted in more inconvenience and lack of customer service. While purchasing Claritan-D, my wife was told that she couldnt pay for the bottle of Ibuprofen at the pharmacy and had to go through regular check-out.There were no people in line or waiting for service.Your TV ads should concentrate a little of the customer service and satisfaction that is being touted and clue your pharmacy staff into this radical approach to customer service.
Need better flowers they died in a few days and the produce of grapes got mold on them. Spoke to store manager byran was able to refund me.
Fantastic summer sales. Fruits are fresh, everything is nice merchandise.

It’s a Jewel. Aren’t they all the same? Pretty clean, pretty decent prices on booze, expensive on everything else. Service mediocre at best but better than Walmart (maybe). You’ll go because you need to.

I had a horrible experience at the butcher counter. I asked for him to tenderize my skirt steak. I was told the machine was put away for the day and he didn’t know how to put it together. It was 3:00pm. The guy has been at this store for 30 years in the meat department. I think he didn’t want to do it. How do you sell skirt skirt steak and not tenderize it.
Average size Jewel clean, and normally the employees arent too grumpy
I was unhappy that the only cashier open was the express lane (after i checked myself out i was advised that the express lane would take anyone.)...should turn the express sign off then.....i normally dont mind self checkout but i had 5 bags of groceries.....when you spend that amt of $ it is nice to be checked out. .i am also unhappy that the parking lot lights are still out....i will be checking out woodmans tomorrow...ihave been shopping with you since 1987.....1st time i am so upset
Everyone is very friendly there and when we go there everyone knows us by our name since we are a frequent shopper there. Ned or nef is very helpful in produce and very friendly and helpful! Organized and clean and have some good deals and nice little reward system with the jewel perks
Regina at the service desk was so immensely helpful. My mother had lost her wallet and Regina was so helpful bringing it back to her. Weve been going to this store for the past decade now, and just wanted to write in to thank Regina again for that amazing help! You definitely made our days. :) Highest marks and commendation.
Staff was very rude to me when self checkout had an unexplained tender failure. There was also a woman and her child without masks on shopping, and employees did nothing about it so this makes me believe they do stop care about the safety of their customers.
Sale items are always worth getting
Im not a big fan of this Jewel-Osco mainly because of how terribly cramped it all is. The aisles used to be more broken up and not so narrow, but they did a revamp maybe two years ago that made navigating the store really cumbersome. Now, I go in on a Sunday, and Im dodging and weaving between loads of customers at the front end because theres next to no space to move about. The store has made no efforts to open up any space for social distancing, and you constantly have to squeeze past people.Its the closest Jewel to my home, but its the one I dislike the most because its such a major pain to shop at. Ive had no issues with employees or anything else, but I really hate coming here.
Has to be the absolute worst Jewel store.Shelves are empty, spent over half an hour tonight at the deli, and was only 4th in line. Workers now have to weigh up the uncut lunch meat after they slice your order, to put back in the case??? It takes forever. Lot of competition around now..Woodmans soon to open..look out.
Staff are friendly, got help right away at the seafood counter, short lines at the register. When needing help to find a product the young man stocking the bake goods went out of his way to make sure I found what I needed. Goood produce and selection of products.
This Jewel has the greatest staff of any grocery store i’ve ever been to! My wife and i love them!Just now, one woman came behind the deli to walk me across half the store to show me where something was.THEN, i dropped 2 things of berries and a giant bag of chips & multiple workers came over to me & practically acted like it was their fault.I’m just so impressed — whoever runs this store is doing an amazing job. They all seem so happy — so my wife and i now drive out of our way to get here.Honestly, if there’s a way to leave a review to the higher ups at jewel, i would like to know how to do that.Thank you, jewel workers!! You bring a smile to our faces & we somehow don’t mind spending a lot of money for groceries!!
Bad service. The cashier at self check-out was impolite and didn’t speak. Plus, she was standing extremely close to me, which was just awkward and uncomfortable. She doesn’t mind personal space or social distancing apparently. But, I got everything I needed, so I’m happy.
The floral department was great, I got some flowers for my mom for Mothers Day and the girl working was helpful in adding some extra roses to the bouquet! My mom loved it:)

I hate the new long ailes. I have a bad knee and its alot of walking for me. Plus they usually only have a couple registers running so your forced to use the self checkout. Im not on their payroll, im not ringing up my groceries.
I shop here very often. They have great sales and the employees are very friendly .I truly love that they now open up another cashier if the check out line gets lon
The store was busy and thats good. The cashier was very polite and helpful with my issue she deserved a 4 star that shes a very good worker. I hope theres more worker like her.
Came in to get TWO last minute balloons to put on our mailbox for a funeral so people knew which house to go to. The Lady in floral refused to blow them up because they weren’t from her department. Even offered to pay her cash cause I was vulnerable and needed to be with my family quick. Terrible people.

Always meets or exceeds my expectations I can always find most things Im looking for. Lots of great sale prices. Deli slices my stuff just like I like it. Butchers tenderizes my meat for Free 😀 and pick up my prescriptions. I can usually get most everything at Jewel. People are Nice also🙂

The store is always very clean & well stocked. The staff in the deli is great, they are always super friendly, funny & quick in service considering they always look to be under staffed when I come in. My only complaint about the store is the long checkout time. They never seem to have enough cashiers working. Other than that its a great place to shop. Good variety & great staff.
Jewel-Osco is my favorite place. There are my favorites food,meat,pasta, vegetables, fruits, sodas and much more. This store is near by my house. Keshier is very pleased. Store is very clean.
I have been coming to this jewel for well over a year now and havent had a bad experience until yesterday. I wish I wouldve had the patience to go up to customer service after the cashier completely ruined my expirence. The cashier clearly did not want to be there, didnt make eye contact, mumbled a hello to my fiance and ignored me blatantly. She decided to throw all my products down the belt and ended up bruises all my peaches and crushed my tomatoes. I am EXTREMELY upset and will not be coming back to this location any longer.
I have had two great experiences with the ladies in the bakery.I had to bring cupcakes that were school safe for halloween,but the cupcakes had no decor on them. I asked one of the ladies if they had Halloween rings that I could purchase to put on the cupcakes and she told me that she would check and came back with the rings. And the second time I needed a cake that was dairy free and wasnt sure of the ordering process. One lady took her time to explain and offered suggestions. Everyone should try the dairy free butter cream cake, I had lots of compliments and people were surprised that it was dairy free. Love how they really care about customers!!!
They are not following rules making employees wear masks saw 5 employees with mask off nose and one employees with mask around chin told them about it before but i dont think manager cares nrver corrected snd its been 2 months. I wear mask to protect them they could do same. Go to a store that cares caputo put in cart washer. And every cart brought in gets washed by employee jewel has a sprayer in cart if you want to do it and hope there is something in it.
These guys are really close to my house so I go often. They have a really good selection of products. Almost as good as Walmart. Reminds me of Meijer when I used to live in Michigan. Walmarts prices are generally better but if you make a quick stop to buy some milk or something, they have a lot of stuff on sale for competitive prices

Better than the Addison Jewel. More employees about, better meat and seafood sections. Checkout lines a little faster. A very tightly packed, claustrophobic store, though.
I am a 18-wheeler driver so I delivered to this store they actually took me early and was glad to see their product there so they can put it back on their shelves so you the consumer could have access to it
My experience was a good one very nice cashier. But some of the food prices were high. However since I cook a lot sometimes quality out weigh quantity. Jewel has always sold quality food.

I went in really wanting to use the app but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. I did some shopping and asked a gentleman to help me, Michael L. He took the extra time to help me figure out how to use the app, made sure I knew what I was doing, and also helped me find something in the store.He delivered and maintained the highest level of customer service I’ve had at this location. I’ll be coming back just for him!
It isnt possible to write a bad review about Jewel. This store has everything, a beautiful produce section. The bakery,meat and fish section has everything along with people who go that extra step in helping you get exactly what you want.
Second week on a row either only fried or no chicken made... After 9am. Ended up going elsewhere. And i only gave 3 stars because the checkout people are always nice.Update after reply. As I appreciate your sincereness I didnt have a problem finding the chicken. The deli makes fried and grilled chicken among other things...that on monday an 8 piece is half off. And if you go there before 9am you are ignored. Numurous times I go there after 9 and there is no chicken or just fried chicken made.

I have speed here since the st ore was built. Staff its nice and the store ours clean and well organized. You have to watch the sale berries as they can be moldy. Hence my 4/5 rating

Usually a solid, dependable store. Not enforcing mask mandates or sanitizing self checkout between people despite signs on door and voiceover over the PA. If youre concerned about COVID, shop elsewhere for now. 5-27-20
My kind of store... I usually go there in the morning after night work... courteous employees, smiling to greet you , they even give you tips how to cook certain foods ... I know them all by faces.... hope they remember me too... from the deli to bakery to pharmacy... you can feel a good vibes through the day ahead of you.... kudos !! To everyone
I literally have to explain to the bagger not to put all the cans in one bag....please dont make the bags too heavy....Im disabled....I need the cart to lean on.....they have a terrible habit of grabbing the cart and pulling it away....Ive lost my balance more than once....not to mention my purse is in the cart

This Jewel is always just ok. They have food and stuff but the one down the road on army trail and county farm is much nicer.
So I come in on a Saturday and purchase alcohol by 11:23pm. Then 3 weeks later I show up at 10:10pm and they started saying oh we dont sell after 10pm like buddy I was just here 3 weeks ago theres no way in hell you changed the policy that fast. Wouldnt recommend for alcohol. Rather go to binnys for the good deals or Tonys Fresh Market.

Bought a Chicken Caesar salad last Saturday to take with me this last week Im my semi, last Tuesday I went into my truck semi to get it to eat for lunch, opened the container and the salad was missing the dressing, chicken and the crouton bag was unsealed and the croutons were stale. Got back home today and called Jewel and told them, they refused to give me a new salad and said better luck next time! How stupid lose a customer over a $5.00 salad.
Came in to fill prescriptions. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ive been coming here for prescriptions since both CVS and Walgreens have had poor customer service towards me in the past. Id recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a change.Unfortunately, they are no longer 24-7, which is why I took a star away. But they do a great job coordinating with your doctors and nurses to procure refills that youre out of at that time.They also have added a convenient app similar to other pharmacies youre used to.Give them a shot and make sure you get your gift card for transferring prescriptions!
I love how this jewel has great deals.. 4 Pub burgers $5.50.. Also other items that other locations dont have.. 😁
Deli was a little slow but I have yet to see a fast deli haha. Everything was organized well and the aisles were labeled so I could find what I needed quick and easy.

I work 2nd shift... Got done with work at 1030. I was STARVIN for a steak & Thirsty for cold beer!Walmart was closed... Aldis closed... Target closed...Jewel-Osco was open. I got A Porterhouse... beer... And chocolate chip cookies!! Very happy that Jewel-Osco stays open til 1am!! $35 later... Im happy. Definitely going to shop at Jewel.
HAVE NEVER BEEN SO POORLY TREATED. Tim the manager and Nancy at the checkout enforced a policy that absolutely could not be supported by Jewel Osco and created a humiliating public display in the process. I will never shop at this store again.
Always stop at this jewel when I go to visit family they love taking there sweet time but im happy the store is at least close to their house

I am a US veteran. This store wouldnt accept my military ID to buy cigarettes. I am 40 years old and dont look like 18 anymore. I just cant stand how people treat veterans coming back from foreign wars. They said my military ID does not matter. The manager confirmed that.

The fruit is always in poor condition and even rotten. I seldom use the word always but it is honestly the case. When I bring it up to Mgmt they just say they have no control over it. I advised them I would NEVER buy my fruit from them as their quality is so poor. Look what happened to Dominick’s. - just saying. Don’t take your customers and their business for granted.

I dont recommend going here for produce. Produce selection is slim and prices are whack. BOGO meat deals arent really BOGO since prices per lb are marked up, average quality meats. Everything else is reasonable I guess.

One of the pricier grocery stores.Ex: Hungry-Man frozen dinner. Normally $3.99, on sale for $3.29.At Meijer a mile west, same item regular $3. On sale for $2.50.And their red alert savings in store marketing raises my stress levels, with all the alerts.

Its not as elegant as Magianos, but its well organized and open almost 24 hours, which I certainly appreciate. I oftentimes shop here around 11pm-midnight.
This is a great location. Way better selection and better staff than Schaumburg. Lots of products that Whole foods carries and no cook county beverage tax

Shop here once in a while when I see something on sale. I think they are pretty expensive on the whole.That is why I do sales plus I find some of the fruit and vegetables are not up to par. They are pretty bad at times.

Great store. I always find what I need and more.
Older store, poor lighting, shelves in disarray. Very disappointed in the produce quality.
Sometimes you have to get something for your dinner and they have it

2022-05-15Jewel’s a good standby for groceries but not always the best pricing anymore with competition from Target and Mariano’s for different items. They do have fresh orange juice at this Villa Park location!

2022-06-02So my mom went to get me flowers for my graduation and I picked up a Bouquet of flowers with a graduation cap and I took it out of the bouquet saying it would look nicer in a other bouquet that I would put it into a other bouquet and this old white lady with gray hair and glasses said if I took it that would be stealing so first I’m a African American woman 2nd if your going to ear hussle do it properly I was telling asking my mom if I could get 2 bouquets and if I could move the graduation cap to the bouquet of roses and she didn’t tell anyone else about there flowers only us also proceeded to put her hand on the bouquet

2021-12-01Pretty good selection here and the prices are usually decent, especially with sales. Their Jewel membership thing gets you a lot of pretty great rewards and specialty coupons that you can even use on their website. They are, however, pretty constantly out of stock on Coke Zero and Coke Zero Cherry.

2022-03-15On March 8th (International Womens Day) my sister went to purchase flowers for my mother on behalf of me since I was out of state. I told her to get my bouquet from this Jewel instead of her florist because Ive been buying from here for 7 years now. I still can’t believe that this experience happened but I’m not surprised with the kind of customer service that’s going on. Not only were there no preset rose arrangements on such an important holiday— when my sister chose flowers and then requested that the florist at the Jewel wrap them in a vase with a bow. The lady said “ I don’t have time to do this and honestly we don’t even wrap flowers for people so if there’s something you don’t find you can just buy this I’ll give you the vase and when you get home just do it yourself”……. Mind you my younger sister actually proceeded to purchase said flowers unwrapped with vase on side took it to her car and tried to “arrange a bouquet” the Jewel actually CHARGED her for “wrapping”.When she got to the house she called the jewel and spoke with the manager Chris Johnson who said he was sorry for the experience and that she will get a refund but she would have to come into the store to bring the card that she used for purchase. My sister is a nurse and she works six days a week and she didn’t get a chance to go back to that location until yesterday the 14th. When she went to the customer service desk some short pale woman was rolling her eyes and saying I’m not helping you if you don’t have a receipt and we have a seven day return policy so you cannot get your money back mind you it hasn’t been full seven days and when my sister asked to talk to the manager she refused to grab anyone and said she’s not gonna help her without a receipt. Even though the manager Chris Johnson wrote down my sister‘s name and the last four digits of the credit card and the exact amount that was purchased on the eighth.YOU CANNOT CHARGE A WRAPPING FEE BUT REFUSE TO WRAP FLOWERS.

2022-03-19Observed two white female clerks being very rude to a black female customer, who was much smarter than any of them in Osco/drug and the white female pharmacist. After my wife and I watched this very racist travesty and the disrespect given to her, We decided to no longer shop at this store and suggested to our family and friends to no longer patronize Osco or Jewel.Being of Jewish descent and to observe such blatant and racist discord towards her picking up a prescription generated a sickness to my stomach to see such discord from people who were hired to treat everyone with respect. From our own personal perspective and observation and others who watched this disgusting act of ignorance this facility in itself has a very biased concept entirely against black patrons.My wife and I noticed there are not any black cashiers or staff period at this Jewel / Osco facility and without diversity there cannot be unbiased inclusion at this facility. My wife is a doctor and I am a lawyer, and as Jews to see such an insidious attack on a woman who told them that she has cancer and other medical issues But generated a proud regard for her integrity even while receiving a lack of respect or empathy nor professionalism generated from the staff in Osco, caused us to be reminded of what our parents and grand parents endured during the Holocaust. So,we our families and friends cannot support such an obvious facility that we know from our own observation is biased and racist.

2019-04-01In this supermarket you can find local fruits and vegetables, in addition to the generous offers that it sometimes makes. This supermarket is distinguished from many because it has a stand of articles or souvenirs of Chicago. And the area of sweets, cakes or breads is crazy, not suitable for people who eat gluten-free ejejej.

2022-01-18I was waiting in line at a register while the bagger named Oliver had his hands down his pants and I was very disgusted. This is very unsanitary during times like this “Covid”, he proceeded to give me attitude because I told him to wash his hands because how disgusting that was I don’t know why they hire people like this I will never come here again
