I HIGHLY recommend JM Tree service for all your tree and stump removal needs. I was looking for a low price to remove 2 trees and 9 stumps. I received many in the thousands, but was quoted 750.00 from JM tree service. He quoted promptly, came 2 days later (because I was not avail the next day), and offered extra services at no additional cost (removing part of a concrete slab in the way of removing 2 stumps, AND removing part of an old stump left by a previous company). They went the extra step to pull and hold back a chain link fence, so they could grind the stump completely. They are extremely nice and have an excellent attitude!
They worked as a team, had all the necessary equipment, roped off each branch that was getting cut so it didnt drop from such a high spot, put everything in the woodchipper, even cleaned up with a leave blower & rake. I highly recommend them!!!!!
At the end of June we paid J M Tree Service to cut down a huge tree and grind the stump. As we were spreading the wood chips for mulch we realized part of the stump was still there. We called and twice were given dates they would come to remove the remaining stump. They never came and aren’t returning our calls.Now we’ll have to pay again for a service that we already paid for!
Phil and crew did an outstanding job taking down 3 large trees in tough locations. They were fast, efficient and left our property spotless. All that and the price was hard to beat. I will have them back when needed.
I called for an Estimate.I received the estimate same day.On a cancellation, my tree was able to be trimmed the next day.EXCELLENT Work. Even the clean up was great.I would recommend them to anyone

2020-06-05OUTSTANDING Service.It was sadly time to take down my beautiful black walnut tree which grew huge and too close to the house. I called 3 services and so lucky Phil from J M was my 3rd find because this was the best choice. He came out the same day I called, super nice, professional, and kind. His quote was HALF the price of one other service, one THIRD the price of the other, and since Im on furlough, this was such a help. He fit the work in within a week, working timely around other home repairs. His friendly crew showed up right on time, with all the right equipment, safety first. It was amazing; in 4 hours, they safely took down a gigantic tree that was at least 30 years old, that would have crushed my roof if a branch fell in a storm. They used great safety precautions & equipment, working in a ridiculously tight space to accomplish the work. They even cut up some of the wood for my fireplace, stacked it neatly, cleaned everything up, blew off the roof & gutters, and recycled their beverage bottles and cans as I asked.Turns out my neighbors have been using JM since before Phil took over the business and have been very happy. Im happy too. Highly recommended.

2020-11-19JM tree service-Chicago Ridge- is the best tree company in the Midwest. I guarantee you wont find a better price. I put off tree cutting for 11 years, wish I discovered this company earlier.Fillippo was easy to communicate with and gave a price at a fraction of what other companies estimated.We had 4 large maple trees, 4 crab apple trees, a pear tree, a willow tree and bushes removed.

2021-04-20These guys arrived promptly and finished the job quickly. I had a large tree next to my house that had died and they got it down and removed the stump at a great price. They are fully insured and very professional.

2021-08-08I got a quote from this company and was supposed to get work done within next week. He didnt show up and he never called. I reached out to him and he showed up at my house a few hours later. Said he was busy but he just gave a quote to a neighbor around the corner and when he does that job, he’d do mine the same day. Well that neighbor had his tree removed and still nothing from JM. So I again reached out to him and he rescheduled for the next week. Well the next week came and didnt hear from him again. Texted him twice and called and left a voice message. Still nothing. This company is not reliable. I would not recommend them and have since warned others to stay away from JM Tree service since they are not reliable.

2020-07-12J & M Tree Service responded promptly to my call and gave a very reasonable estimate to trim my tree. The company did a nice job of removing all of the dead branches. Clean-up was very good. I highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

2019-07-22J M Tree Service responded promptly to my call and gave a very reasonable estimate to cut down my tree and grind down the stump. The tree was removed quickly and with no damage to my property. The workers did a nice job working near underground cable and telephone wires. Clean-up was very good. 2019-10-20We are very happy with the work they performed. I have to say, on the onset we were a little concerned because JM Tree Service gave us an extremely low estimate compared to other companies, and because the price was so cheap, we were a little concerned with their ability to do a good job, but we went with them anyway and were glad we did. Phil the owner is Hands-On, he is on the job site supervising and working with his crew. They did a great job making sure there was no damage to any of our existing bushes and shrubs and they did a very thorough clean up afterwards. If it was your first time on our property after the tree was removed you would never know they were here, they cleaned up the yard better than it was before they showed up. Over the years, we have used several different tree services, not really disatisfied with anyone, but not anybody we would call out for repeat service either. We have a lot of trees on our property, and next time we are in need of tree removal or tree trimming we know the guy to call. JM Tree Services is the MAN!

2020-07-26We had to remove our maple tree which we were estimating to be over 100 ft high with 4 trunks. Phil came out the day we called and gave us a very reasonable estimate! We called to hire him the next day. Due to storms in the area he was booked solid. Since we needed it removed quickly after branches had fallen and caused damage twice. Phil called and stated he would be able to do the job in two days. He stopped by the next night to drop off insurance and explained to us that due to his schedule he would not have enough crew to come out but has another 5 star rated company that will be at the house the next day. He dropped off the insurance for the other company. Since he was the 5th call we had made and the 3rd estimate, one being double and 2 being triple his estimate we truly appreciated his professionalism in scheduling the other company to keep his appointment!!I would highly recommend JM tree Services to anyone for a very fair deal and service above & beyond!! 2018-08-18JM Tree Service did a wonderful job removing an old crab apple tree from our yard. They arrived on time, were well equipped, and got right to work. Within 2 hours the tree and mess were both gone. They even went above and beyond and took bushes and shrubs we have removed ourselves and had piled up and put them in the chipper for us, on their own. It was certainly greatly appreciated! They made sure that they didn’t damage our yard at all, even during stump removal. JM Tree Service is professional, reasonably priced, and do a quality job. We will definitely call them whenever we need trees trimmed or removed.

2020-07-22My dad, Bob L., does not use a computer, so Im writing this review for him, because he was so satisfied with the service. My dad called and received an estimate the same day, for an old Maple tree to be cut down, removed, and stump removal. Phil and his crew were prompt and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend them, and they are coming back to cut down another tree for him.
