Hy-Vee Grocery Store in other cities:
Hy-Vee has a good selection of produce like fruits & vegetables year-round. Not to mention that their bakery is always stocked with delicious goodies! Im a disabled Veteran living with a compromised immune system, my husband & I prefer to go to Hy-Vee & use their self checkout when we are done with their shopping. The store is open and spacious which makes it easy to social distance if you need to make it in store purchase. We love how Hy-Vee also provides customers with the option to order your groceries online & offers pick up & delivery options as well!
I stopped for lunch today and had part of their deli when I had the Chinese food everything I had fried rice garlic chicken with mushrooms sesame chicken was very very good I will go back there next time Im working in that area good reasonably priced place for lunch my only complaint takes forever to get through the checkout lines and the two open so slow wasted most of my lunch trying to pay for my lunch
Can be kinda pricey if you dont shop the sales but if you buy stuff on sale its actually pretty well priced. The only issue I have is they run out of chick fil a sauce all the time and I need a pretty steady supply of it. I usually wind up buying 3 or 4 bottles when I do come across it. But other than chick fil a sauce, no problems here
With the holidays fast approaching I purchase a items thinking it was one thing when it was another. The friendly staff was able to refund my money without hesitation or jumping through unnecessary Hoops as do most retailers. Satisfaction gets an A+Customer service above expectations!
How many HIPPA violations are occurring at your vaccine “clinics”? You converted a vestibule, for crying out loud. I basically had to remove my shirt in front of 7 strangers. The person administering the shot tells everyone in the room which vaccine you’re getting, the number (i.e. first, second, booster), and asks about some medical history related to possible side effects. Again, in a converted, unsanitary vestibule in front of 7 other people. Absolutely absurd. Had I know what I was getting into I would never have gone here. It has soured my taste for all thing Hyvee. I hope CMS, OSHA, or TJC fine your store into bankruptcy.
You will pay a few Pennys more for things but its worth high quality food, organic section, fresh produce, fresh meat with multiple selections to choose from. The customer service is how every person should be treated at any store! Ive never met an angry customer. Its all Good Vibes, through out the whole store including floral, liquor and on the go hot foods or any event! I love it!😻 The best store any where!
Great grocery store. Really impressed by how many brands they have of everything unlike some other chains. For example they carry all the sparkling water brands Im interested in versus just one or two who contract to them like WalMart or Target would. They also had a great beer selection and build-your-own 6 pack.
We waited over 15 min. (No lie!) In the self checkout to receive an over ride to process our order only to have it happen 4 more times. While the experience is way too long to explain, I will say that they have 12 self checkouts and no one watching the area to help customers. (That would be 12 registers with 12 employees if it wasnt self checkout, the least they could do is have ONE employee overseeing that area!)We just moved to Peoria and we were sorely disappointed with their service and wont be going back. This was the Hy-Vee off of Sheridan.
We happened to stumble on this location while in the area. They were grilling outside on the weekend and it turned out to be just what we needed. The girls had fresh hamburgers to order while I grabbed us a Starbucks inside. Despite the slightly higher than average prices this is becoming one of my favorite grocery chains because of their selection and quality of food products. Next time I am in the area I will check out their restaurant.
I still have a 100.00 Christmas food card to ho useTheir prices are a bit higher, and the store takes some getting used to to find things. Love their holiday dinners they put together...great idea for just 1 or 2 or the whole family! Havent tried their lunch selections yet, but they look good. And they do grill outside mow too😊
Im disabled vet and have bad ptsd. I lost my phone here a few days ago and I was frantic. Every store member I spoke with when looking for my phone was more than helpful and the two ladies that gave me my phone after it was found made my day. I cant say enough how thankful I am. Thank you so much you guys made me feel like family. Thank you!
I have been in Hy-Vee countless times and every time someone is ready to help me find something if needed and check through the counter with a smile. I had one bad experience the other day and I wrote a negative review that is not justifiable when all other visits we’re extremely positive. Please accept my sincere apology and remove my post because it does not reflect my true feelings about Hy-Vee and the wonderful people that work there. Very sorry
Ok so I get it, it’s a gas station, how could they get 5 stars? Well, this gas station deserves 10/5 stars. The store is clean as a whistle every time I visit, the breakfast sandwiches are hot and fresh (as fresh as a gas station breakfast sandwich can be), and the staff is friendly and helpful when I need help. The coffee has never tasted burnt or stale, which is the whole reason I go into the store.
HyVee on Sheridan have the sweetest, kind, caring, helpful, understanding staff. Even if you make an accidental mess they make you feel like it was just what it was. They tell you not to worry about it, it happens just forget about it. When they see you almost in tears, they will then tell you something about how they almost made the same mess but in the stockroom. I love going to this store. Their BALANCE MAGAZINE is wonderful so many good recipes.
I love their cheese cake, it is so soft and fluffy, it is like eating air where regular cheese cake sits in my stomach like a brick and upset my stomach theirs does not. Other items in the store are nice also. This trip the store was out of my favorite dish, their creamy cheese cake.
I started patronizing this location due to overcrowding at their competitor. Things were fine for a while until I started noticing outdated items and dead insects in their dairy section. Their grill is good, but with sporadic hours. They post grilling is done Friday thru Sunday, weather permitting, but many times theyre not there on a nice day. Maybe its covid-related. Idk.
Surprised when they say that all check out lanes are open M-F starting at 4pm. Not so. Im not a self checkout kinda person and only having one lane with a checker open, is completely unacceptable. Their customer service has declined the past several months. Wake-up HyVee.
I want to thank Sean, the manager, for being so nice and for taking care of my situation. He makes HyVee worth going too. He is a plus for this store. Thank you Sean for being such a good manager and being caring for my situation. Your the best!!!!! Thank you again.Mardi Patton
Employees at this store are friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service, with rare unfortunate exceptions. Pharmacy employees are truly exceptional. However, food quality, especially in bakery and produce, isnt always acceptable. Today I was put off by a pile of mouldy cantaloupe that they were trying to unload for $3.Without exception, any rolls, donuts, or cookies baked in-store have been disappointing. Ive needed to return stale or greasy donuts, rolls and undercooked cookies to the bakery. There is no quality control over in-store-produced items.Admittedly I no longer purchase their in-store baked goods, so maybe some items have improved. Ive heard their sheet cakes are good.HyVee prices most staples at least 20% higher than competitors. Some items are double or triple the cost. There are usually 5 or more sale items priced low enough to get customers in the door... and apparently there are many gullible customers that do the bulk of their shopping there. Its a pleasant, clean place to shop. But not if you want pallatable baked goods. And not if you want to save money.
Recently moved to Peoria and was disappointed that there wasn’t a Marianos, Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s anywhere. I’d done my shopping at Walmart where the food isn’t fresh, and there was nothing I was excited to eat. The people also make me feel very uncomfortable. Not much better at Kroger’s either.I am so excited to have found Hy-Vee. The butcher is amazing, the prices are incredible and so delicious and fresh. There’s a variety of organic foods as well, cold brews, snacks ect. The cheese selection is perfection, not to mention the bakery is absolutely delicious. I purchased a salted turtle cupcake and a coffee mocha cupcake, both were perfect. The only thing I really could’ve done without was the holiday charity bell ringer at the entrance. The other door was locked so there was no avoiding him. I’ve got nothing against donating money- it was his inappropriate constant dialogue directed at my 2 year old baby. We had to wait outside for a few minutes while I waited on car service and he directed 100% of his attention on my baby. This man- who appeared homeless himself, was demanding my baby “say something already” (my child is non verbal- but even if you didn’t know that, he looks like a BABY!!) This man was yelling across other customers entering the building towards us, a good 20 feet; as I tried to avoid him and drink my mocha, and was humiliating me as he somehow assumed I was standing there because I wanted him to continuously ring the bell in our direction while locking eyes to entertain my child. He was loudly yelling to my baby that “Yo mom need to...” something or other in regard to the fact that I did not donate money but he felt he was giving good entertainment to us. Also because I was ignoring him, so he passive aggressively spoke to/about me but directed it to my child. I was very uncomfortable, and couldn’t have been more relieved when my driver did get there. It was only 10 minutes but felt like an hour. There should have been no other conversation other than Merry Christmas, or welcome. Also I would have given my child several dollar bills to go put in his charity pot had I not felt like he would’ve tried to pick him up or something if we got too close. He seemed mentally ill with no boundaries or ability to comprehend social cues. Please management have a conversation with him. My husband would not have been as gracious. All in all even with this- I still gave it 5 stars because the inside was great.
How is it possible for a grocery store to stay so clean? Its shiny like when it opened a decade ago. You can set up an appointment with the dietician for free and shell walk you through the store and talk through options. I did that before eating vegan for a couple months and it made it way easier to shop. Also this feels like the one store I dont feel guilty asking employees things. Theyre all so friendly.
On 11/20 ordered Thanksgiving Dinner for 2 & paid & will pick up 11/26. Want to give Richard J in deli a commendation because he was very helpful taking our order. He was friendly & patient & cared about helping us! Thank you Richard J & Hyvee on Sheridan. Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving!!!
I have been shopping here for about the last five years, and for the last two, I have been volunteering as Santa during the Christmas holidays. Well recently I have been asked to help out, owing to my background in the Military, and law enforcement. I always assumed that the employees were treated very well, and I can definitely confirm that. From management to the cleaning personnel, pretty much everyone there takes a great amount of pride in a job well done.
Such a pleasant place to shop - They work hard to insure that customers are satisfied. EVERY single display could have been used in a magazine ad. Super clean. All shelves are stocked well with the food you need. Always major brands placed prominently, but they offer house brands as well. All you have to do is look puzzled, and a staff person will see and rush to your aid. If they direct you to another aisle, they accompany you to the product. (Any worker, always knows product layout - try that in most stores where only 1 worker out of 5 knows how to locate the item you are seeking)...Hy-Vee pricing is a bit (not much) higher than discount stores, but the service is impeccable, and works always have a smile and time for the customer. These guys are great.....I recommend them.PS: Hard to pick a best department, but the meats and the bakery are very superior.I
Went to the Hy-vee in Peoria to the store on Sheridan, couldnt believe the abundance of great tasting sausages and imported cheeses that only they have, no other stores that weve shopped at! The Mgr. Of the Deli, Charlie was overwhelming with assistance to us, Thanks, Hy-vee!! We are going to shop here on a regular basis!
The standards at Hy-Vee have gone downhill in the last couple years. It isnt as clean as it used to be and products are disorganized. Many of the cashiers are lazy, rude and cant seem to wear a mask properly. And the Aisles Online there is a joke. Orders are constantly wrong, I get dont receive items that I paid for or the product received is damaged or otherwise substandard. I never have issues with pickup orders at Kroger or Aldi so I dont understand what the problem is with Hy-vee. Only silver lining is their pharmacy. Friendly staff and orders prepared in timely manner. Rest of the store sucks.
Theyre always so friendly and helpful. It kinda throws me off because Im just not used to that sort of treatment, especially in Illinois lol. They have an employee dedicated to sanitizing carts for customers as you walk in which is nice if youre into that whole COVID prevention stuff.
Stopped in today to get a pre make cake and get a HBD written on it. They didnt have any that I cared for. The young girl behind the bakery total took care of me. She took the cake she was making and made it for me!!! I really total appreciate that she did that for me!!
Fantastic selection! Great deli, small restaurant inside with good, hot food and reasonable prices. Starbucks. Plenty of organic, ethnic and traditional foods. Pharmacy with friendly staff. Cashiers are fast and genuinely pleasant. They have small carts for child shoppers, so cute! This is a great grocery experience!
As a grocery store, this place is the bomb. But for online ordering or getting food inside, I give it less than 2 stars. Yesterday my daughter and I ordered food - like the sign told us to, on the kiosk - and then waited for 20 minutes before asking the lady behind the register if she knew where our food was. She told us that they dont pay attention to kiosk orders (ok...) and then she said - Oh, I have the chicken fingers here (now cold) and I have no idea where the sushi is. The sushi, BTW, was the worst and smallest sushi I have ever had. Blech. I will ship here for my specialty items but we will not get hot food again.
This Hy-Vee is not as good as the one on Orange Prairie. Set up is less intuitive, they don’t have as attentive staff, the lines are longer. Oh FYI, if you’re looking for alcohol it’s in a whole separate section with its own room, and you can ONLY check out alcohol, no “grocery items”
Very clean and well organized, I love that they have a coffee place inside which makes for a little fun!The customer service here is phenomenal and I love all the variety they offer.. PLUS the fresh fruits and veggies, oh my!! ❤(Definitely visit their restaurant, delish!)
Customer service is decent and the reason for the four stars. I love that it is close to my gym, and I can just run in and out after a good workout. The Chinese food there is great! I also love that they have some of the items we like and is not available at the Orange Prairie location.
Clean...great selections..higher prices than most grocery stores. Fresh produce. Ive made many wonderful meals with ingredients Ive bought here and every meal are as equally delicious as they are appealing because of its freshness. You get what you paid for. There isnt a smile in every aisle as advertised (lol)
I truly enjoy going to HyVee 1. there is usually something free to drink set up inside by the produce area last winter it was hot chocolate and last week it was lemonade. The store is always very clean, the staff works hard to serve your needs behind the counters of the meat department, the deli department, the restaurant, the pizza and seafood meals area, there are samples of pizza for you to try, they have a buffet section where salads of all kinds as well as fresh fruits and vegetables are. If you accidentally break something they immediately cleans it up and puts you at ease they will even go get what you had broken. They have a magazine that is just tremendous it is chocked full of all kinds of ideas exercise, RECIPES outstanding.
Love the environment. They replaced the nutritionist with a new, younger lady. The older one was on T.V. She was sort of a local celebrity. But any-how, the place is clean, amazing liquor store - competition to Friar Tucks, the salad bar is very good, the pricing is fair, and the staff is very good as well. I love their restaurant-bar area. I see senior citizens playing their rummy or poker... whatever it is they play there. And no one minds. The bathrooms are clean. The rest of the store is on the higher end price wise but you can find many items that you would only find at a Whole Foods Supermarket.
This Grocery store is what others should strive to be like. The employees are super nice, the managers are very eager to solve your problem or give you a hand. The prices are so-so but if you plan your shopping list out properly you can really add up those fuel saver points. I think I paid 12¢ a gallon once for gas.
I had 2 different orders with them for our wedding weekend last weekend. Nick in catering helped with my order for our rehearsal dinner. All of our guests were so impressed at how good Hyvee catering was. They absolutely loved the ribs and brisket. Highly recommend their BBQ catering option! Nick was so easy to work with and always answered any questions I had. They also delivered to our venue. We are so happy we had Hyvee cater our rehearsal dinner. We also ordered deli trays for our bridal party. I had ordered them online and there was a mix up on the order so it wasnt ready. Instead of making me wait for them to make my trays they gave me larger trays that were ready to go. I really appreciate that they didnt make me wait (on wedding weekend) for our trays. They deli trays were very good and had nice presentation as well.
My favorite place to peruse with my daughter. The market grille though a bit pricey has delicious food and the bartender Tim is always sweet. They often have good deals and the daily specials are great. We were leaving and the chef came out to make sure my daughter got her free desert. The exspresso cupcakes at the bakery are A1 also. Staff is always super nice and helpful
Hy-Vee at the Sheridan village location is a wonderful place to shop. No matter which department your in from the front desk with Lynn, Starbucks with Joelle, stockers in the aisles, cashiers, and all other employees are very friendly and go above and beyond with their customer service. The store is clean and well kept.
Very friendly customer service, descent savings with close observation. Fresh meat is mixed throughout with either $/lb and $/piece (of differing ounces), even between the same meats & similar cuts. Not only frustrating, but embarrassing when checking out and the Sampler personnel misstated to both my wife & I, that it was $/lb, when in reality it rang up 4X higher as it was $/fillet! At least a quick override from the manager and the cashier promptly removed the item from our cart & bill.
Very clean store, they follow the Covid19 rules, everyone wears a mask, they sanitize the checkout belt before you put grocery on to check out. I feel safe, everyone shopping there wears masks, they sanitize the carts as you walk in. Best store I have been to since Covid19.
Great location in central part of City. Multiple entrances. Layout is efficient with shorter isles and the perimeter of store layout has all the special features, restaurant, deli, meat counter, etc. Produce is well maintained. Not as many larger quantity items to select from. Only things missing from ammentities is assistance loading groceries into your vehicle.
I spent $72 on what I thought was going to be a gorgeous bouquet for my mom for mothers day. (I live 3 hours away, so what I saw on my phone is what I was expecting to be delivered) When the flowers arrived, I was so excited!...until I saw how pathetic the bouquet looked. I spent $20 on another bouquet at Kroger, and they are absolutely beautiful! So, thank you Kroger!!!
Went to look for some wine at the Sheridan location and I forgot the name so I asked the salesperson if she could check with the store in Grand Prairie area because I knew where it was located there but to no avail , so this salesperson walked each aisle and of course after going to the last aisle we found it 😂
The store is a little pricey and the vegetable selection is spotty as to what they have and whether or not anything is actually fresh. Good selection overall but the restocking can be an issue at times. Try not to hit the store on Saturday morning/early afternoon though since they never have enough checkout people and the lines get long.
Weve been getting our holiday meals here for the past few holidays. High quality food with good quantities for a fair price. Best part besides eating the food is no clean up in regards to the 5 hours of preparation of the turkey or ham with all of the side dishes and desserts.
To some folks it might seem a small thing but all of the items placed on the shelves in the bakery have the labels facing away from the aisle. That means if a tray of cookies looks good the customer has to turn it around to see what sort of cookies they are. For instance are they oatmeal and chocolate chip or oatmeal and raisin. I have passed the display many times instead of turning the label so I can read it.
I go here for the gluten free and organic food section only. Hyvee has the widest range of gluten free choices in the area, that I have found atleast. As for the rest of the store we find prices are a bit higher that competitors and usually shop elsewhere. The store is always clean, well lit inside and out, and easy to get through!!
HyVee is not the store for those on a budget. It tends be be on the expensive side. Screaming Sicilian frozen pizzas are $8.99 at HyVee and $5.98 at Walmart as an example from todays prices. The stores are clean and have a nice health food section but are expensive. An informed consumer is able to make wise choices.
Always amazing choices in produce and all kinds of other food items. Some prices seem very reasonable. Some do not. Overall, the Hy-Vee brand is a good substitute for the name brands. You can find both budget items and premium items at Hy-Vee.One complaint I have is that you cannot get simple steamed or stir fried vegetables at the Asian food counter at this location. It has to be rice or noodles. What kind of an Asian cuisine doesnt offer steamed or stir fried vegetables? Other Hy-Vees with an Asian food counter offer this.
Id been all over town looking for s specific spice. Grand prairie hyvee didnt have it and came here just as a off chance they would possibly have it. They only had one left. So, if you dont find what your looking for at the grand prairie location, they just may have it here.
The bakery needs a new manager. Donuts were stale, then bought turnovers that were like pulling rubber with your teeth, they were so stale. Its okay if they mark them day old and you want to buy them. Full price is not acceptable, and not checking their product on the shelves is unacceptable. The bakery has gone down hill in the past 6 months. No Sheppard bread ever, and products are substandard. Avoid Kevin P in the meat dept. Another worker waited on 2 people, fulfilled their order, while I waited to get 2lbs of ground chuck wrapped. He is very slow
Waited 15 min for my pickup order, went inside to find out they lost my order. I was there a total of 35 min. I could of done my own shopping in that amount of time. Horrible customer service. This is a regular thing for their aisle online dept.(sheridan location? Im done shopping here.
Last night a colleague and i stopped for a short trip after work. It was a busy time and there was a very large sale in the cereal isle. The stock was empty but fortunately a truck had just arrived. Associate Jalen and many others quickly unloaded the truck and rephenished the stock helping customers with a polite and caring attitude. Even asked us if there was a particular type and quantity we needed and bringing it to us Thank you for your kindness and hard work gentlemen!
I used to love this store. Today I was there and I realized that even though a company who acts like they are part of the community and those who frequent their store DAILY is what they care about. WOW I was wrong!!! the corporation of HYVEE is most definitely not in the business of caring for even their most loyal customer. I will send this review out so that any locally fiscal Peorian will be advised to go somewhere else for their groceries. I have never been more saddened by an impotent response to an easily fixed problem. Oh well... BACK TO SCHNUCKS!!!!
Hy-Vee, is an employee owned company, that has its roots in Iowa, that came to Peoria just a few years ago, but sets the bar HIGH for grocery stores in just about every area you can imagine! While their slogan, A helpful smile in every aisle, is pushing it a little, their stores feature more help throughout the store than ANY other grocery Ive ever experienced. From catering (yes, I have used their service), to a fresh salad bar, sub sandwiches, fresh roasted chicken, deli, restaurant, fresh seafood, a bakery that continuously churns out fresh everything (their jumbo muffins are a personal favorite!), a huge freezer section, fresh meat department, a produce department that has unrivaled choice (and unlike Walmart, Aldi, and others you wont find moldy, overripe, garbage), a health food and ethnic section that is an education just to browse and so large with unsurpassed variety, a gift card section that has to be 25 in length!, a florist that turns out (and delivers) incredible arrangements for reasonable prices that dont break the bank, a pharmacy (I have felt extensively with four different Hyvee stores) that stays on top of your prescriptions, follows up with doctors, is accurate, delivers free, truly helps find over the counter items with expertise, offers a private room for quick immunizations, interfaces well with various insurance companies, has the $4 prescriptions, and staff who really do know YOU and yes, they smile... The customer service desk offers money services such as check cashing, $.79 money orders, Western Union (wish they had lower cost RIA or Money Gram), stamps, etc. etc.Checkouts are reasonably fast with management directing customers to open or quicker lanes or opening new lanes as needed. Coupons? Forgot to clip a coupon from their ad? Just ask and they will apply the coupon! Or use their APP to store online specials and regular coupons for automatic use at the checkout. If there are limits or conditions on the number of items for a specific price there are no surprises, as the shelves are clearly marked with signs and prices you can read an understand and limits are reasonable. An item appears to be sold out?? Dont fret, snag a friendly smile and they will graciously check their back room for you!! Their stores are clean, well lighted with aisles more than large enough for two carts... No squeezing by here. And dont forget, many Hyvee stores have gas stations with competitive rates, so they offer cents off gas for MANY items and services with their stores loyalty card. Services? Yes, like $. 25 off per gallon for flu shots, good up to 20 gallons and Caseys gas stations honor their card as well as the Fuel Rewards card for Shell (just tie your FR card to Hyvees and the discount is available on either). There are so many other pluses I could list, like their many selections of shopping carts from large, small, electric to kids models, great parking lots with just enough reserved parking for those who need it. But just go to Hyvee, you wont be disappointed, I assure you but if you are not, complain to one of those friendly smiles and it WILL be made right! And if you were wondering, I received no compensation of any kind for this review nor have I nor do I work there. I am just an older guy who knows a great thing when I see it, and I am picky 🙂.
Great grocery store with lots of items that are hard to find at places like Kroger’s and Walmart. Love the beer selection and fact that they have so many individual beers available to buy as a single or as a mix a six. There are some items that Grand Prairie carries that Sheridan doesn’t but not much. Deli and meat department are also above average. Kroger does seem to have better overall deals but Hy-Vee seems to offer better quality products.
Edit: Updating this after a year. Still finding expired food. Went grocery shopping on 04/10. Decided to have a snack of yogurt. Found the yogurt I bought expired 03/17. So it was basically expired by a month and still on the shelfId give a higher rating but I keep finding expired food. Ive told 3 different people about it and no one seems to address it.
This store is a hot mess!!! Years ago the store was managed by this bald headed dude name Dan. Thank God he is gone! Every since his wife cheated on him he went nuts and quit his job which was great because he took his anger out everyone including customers. Then they got this other store manager and boy did this store get worst. Everybody save the time and go to Grand prairie Hy-Vee!!
Went for groceries today and saw good sale for dsw shoes...got my son a boys shoes...went back to exchange for bigger size ,which was available...but they wont let me ...I am not returning the product ,just wanted exchange...and the male guy in the customer service, has no customer service skills...love going to this branch but not anymore...
Every employee says hello and offers help. The pharmacy gives you 5 cents for every script toward gas. Every lane has a bagger who will help get groceries to your car if you need. If lines are to long they quickly open more! I live 20 miles away and prefer to make the drive just because of the better experience
I placed an order to be delivered between 5:00-6:00p.m.; its 6:42p.m. and I am still waiting for my groceries to be delivered. I used this service because I am busy, and thought itd cut a little stress out of my day. This store is always understaffed when I go in, and clearly they dont employ enough drivers to get their deliveries out on time. Saying that you have 6 other deliveries in that time is not an excuse for wasting peoples time. I will NOT be using this service again, and will do my best to dissuade others from using it as well.
Ordered 25 cupcakes to be picked up today. Specifically asked for Spider-Man when I ordered. 2 hours before it was time for me to pick up the cupcakes a woman calls me and says they don’t have the Spider-Man rings for the cupcakes did I want anything else. Well, considering the entire theme was Spider-Man and they gave me less than a couple hours notice (mind u I ordered the cupcakes 24 hours ahead of time) I just told them to do avengers and black panther because I literally did not have time to order anywhere else. They didn’t offer an apology or any sort of discount for my inconvenience. More than likely will not use them again.
Ive been hearing about chinese food at Hy-Vee being really good! Today decided to try got 2 entrees and 2 appetizers for 8.59! With egg rolls ! Really good food !! Ill be eating it tomorrow without a problem!! Had a hard time finding sale items according to their brands advertised! Chinese food 4 stars sale items 3 stars
This is the cleanest, most friendly grocery store Ive ever shopped. The workers are all smiles every time Im there. The pharmacy makes certain you know what youre getting and how to take it along with any side effects there may be on new meds. Theres always someone working the aisles and asking if youre finding what you need and when you check out the checker asks the same thing. I wouldnt shop anywhere else!
This supermarket is on par with the local Schnucks and sometimes better. There’s a location on Sheridan and one @ the Shoppes at Grand Prairie. The sales are great (ads come out on wednesday’s) and the hot food is Delicious. Try their salad bars and restaurant. both locations have a starbucks!
There’s no need to go across the street to Kroger where the employees are grossly underpaid and therefore unhappy - you can find what you need, experience great customer service by Hy-Vee’s well-compensated employees, in a clean, wide open sales floor. The company is innovative and fairly local, hailing from the Midwest.
Yesterday was looking for specialty item Felixs Lingonberries from Sweden. Looked in all the possible places for this & Katie N asked if she could help me. I told her I had seen this item before in the store, but couldnt find it now. She went out of her way to find it for me. It was with the other jams, but slightly hidden so you couldnt easily see it. She was very sweet & really cares about her customers. Thank you Katie N!
I love HyVee to shop and of course , have Starbucks but esp any nite half price drinks and orderourves for 2 hours but on Weds until close 9:00 pm . Love it there , Workers so pleasant , food off the menu great!! Again half price any drink wine (good),hard drinks and always great beer prices. What more could a woman , man or couple ever want more ?

2022-04-17We only do our purchases at the Deli Counter weekly. The supervisor/mod as well as the staff provides us w/great guest service, positive experience, & ensure that we get the finest quality portions of fine cut Deli meat. Some strong points were the generosity of certain items given. anticipating our needs, & checking for satisfaction. Definitely will be back on a weekly basis again!

2022-02-26More pricier than a Kroger or Walmart but has a superior deli and bakery. Plus a nice sized collection of individual bottles of craft sodas, international items (Brit groceries being one!), and other niche items. Pretty sizable dry, dairy, and frozen organic sections as well. Worth the visit.

2022-07-02I’ve had my birth control sent here every month for the last 5 years. When the doctor changes my prescription the pharmacy here struggles every single month to put it on automatic re-fills. So every month when I want to pick up my prescription I have to wait for it to get filled. I keep asking to be automated and they say it is but then the next month I come in to pick up and they say they don’t have anything ready yet resulting in me having to wait a half hour for pickup when it should just be ready to go. People are not helpful or knowledgeable at all. 10/10 don’t recommend

2022-06-10I was having trouble finding chicken gizzards. Called Hy-Vee on Sheridan Road in Peoria, and spoke with Andrew. He took the time to check the stock and came back and said he had them and would hold a package back for me. When we went to pick them up, both Andrew and his coworker, Don, we’re pleasant and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back to this store because of them.

2020-03-09Absolutely amazing store! First time going and will definitely be doing our grocery shopping here from now on! Great selection/prices. Love that they have a Starbucks and restaurant inside. The meat counter is absolutely awesome! We got our first meat bundle and will definitely be getting more! Can’t beat it!!

2022-04-24Its pretty well known hyvee is more expensive, a quality I dont mind paying for. However I dont like waiting at the self check with an arrow, the front desk lady scoffing at me, then trying to explain the problem like Im a child. Ultimately this is managements fault for providing these registers while the current staff cant, both physically and emotionally, handle a slightly busy Saturday evening.I look forward to her smiling face next time I come in. I only shop here.

2022-03-09Hello! I do hope this reaches the owner, as I do have a concern regarding the restaurant part HyVee. Id like to start off by saying HyVee is the place u want to go for quality groceries. Things always look fresh, and the people behind the counters are very attentive/ friendly. As stated above, my concern is with the restaurant. Ive been trying to give the restaurant a try for the past few weeks now. Ill come in usually around Mondays-Wednesdays at 11:00ish. Out of a total of the 5 times Ive tried eating at the restaurant, only once did someone actually seat me. I saw a lady today waiting at the booth where it says to wait to be seated. She must have been standing there for 10-15 mins, and nobody came to seat her. There were plenty of people in that kitchen area, but not a single employee seemed to take notice. Last time I waited there, I stood by the sign, and there were 3 kitchen employees gathered around another customer just talking. I stood there for about 5-7 mins.....nobody came over. I do understand the nation-wide shortage of workers, and that someone may not be by that area at all times. However, its seems to be a repeated issue.....around lunch time when its important to have people seated in a reasonable time. The food is delicious, and portions are too good to be true......however its that initial service thats lacking. Theres a female kitchen manager that does a wonderful job, and her efforts are much appreciated. Always greets people with a smile, and service she provides when shes there.....is immaculate. All together I think the restraunt has potential to bring in lots of customers, and its underrated. I thank those employees that try and do a good job.

2022-06-20Whenever I come to Peoria to visit family, I HAVE to go to Hy-Vee. They beat Meijer when it comes to the variety of their selection. They even have my favorite Korean fire noodles that I have to either order on Amazon or drive over 15 miles to the Asian market where I live.

2021-12-07I worked with Natasha to have two large meals prepared and delivered. (30 - 50 people) and she was great - very easy to work with. Everything was well packaged and on time. The delivery guy was awesome, too....wish I had gotten his name. Super cheerful and stayed while the order was checked to be sure all was good.
