This hotel is OK β thats the best I can say. All the employees were great and our beds were made and towels replaced daily. However the cleanliness of the hotel was subpar. The walls were kind of gross. My husband brushed up against one and his shirt was covered it residue. Our rooms shower/bathroom was very unappealing. I actually opted out of even using the shower. The parking lot is small and is practically shared with two other businesses which can cause some issues for parking during the day. I cant speak much for the continental breakfast but Gojos Cafe & Pancake House next door was great! I highly recommend giving it a shot.Overall this isnt a hotel I would book if you plan on spending a lot of time in the rooms, but if you need a place to crash it does the trick.
Positive: It was a party on room 214 had call several times to the receptionists when downstairs at 3:14 am to notify him again i have to go to work at 6 am then at 4 :15 try to call it was no answering from him let several messages to that recording no help. Negative: The lack of receptionist and the poor management first he iffer me a complementary stay then he change to any 79.99 for my next stay. What kind of compensation that was.? Poor managment.
This hotel was horrible. I felt so uncomfortable there and will never stay here again. The only saving grace was that I only needed the room for a night. I got in too late to look for another place & if it wasnt so cold and unsafe I wouldve slept in my car. It literally made me itch. The toilet wouldnt even flush and the sink took the strength of 10 men to turn on. There were spider webs and while I didnt see a bug, I fully expected one to crawl on me at any minute. There was a tiny red spot on the bed which to me indicated the possibility of bed bugs. The hallways leading to the room were dark and I could barely see. I felt like I was in the Shinning and also felt like walking through a dark alley. This hotel should not be allowed to operate under the name of Howard Johnson or Wyndham. It doesnt meet their quality. HORRIBLE!!!
Stayed here the last night of 4 while we were in Chicago. The room itself was clean and updated. The hallway had heavily stained carpet & the door frames and walls showed heavy wear and tear. You could hear every noise in the hallway, but we happen to have a room on the first floor right around the corner from the office, I think requesting a room as far away from any foot traffic wouldve helped. The other complaint is the beds are extremely firm. Because of this I definitely did not get a good night sleep. The location is good and there are quick dining options and shopping just a few minutes away. Personally, because the bed was so uncomfortable, I would not stay here again.
So gross and dirty in the room!! We cleaned everything down and worked with it at first because we had no where else to stay. We checked the bed and didnβt see anything, but when I was trying to sleep there was a BED BUG CRAWLING BY MY FACEEEEπ€’π€’π€’π€’ we put all of our stuff in plastic bags and immediately left to find somewhere else to stay. Never going there again
Terrible. 1st my family get 2 rooms which we ask to be next to each other when we booked them, but when we got there we are completely separate. 2nd we are at the very end of the building and the free wifi doesnβt even work so i have to sit in the lobby to use the wifi. 3rd the hallways are very very messy towels laying everywhere trash everywhere. we paid almost 500$ on 2 rooms for 2 nights for a terrible experience
Aaron was so helpful! Rented a room at different hotel through Priceline for a friend and when he checked into that room he was told it wasnt available. I called Priceline and they were no help whatsoever! I talked to 2 reps then finally a supervisor! Kim was no help!! Never do business with Priceline!! Anyway when I called Aaron at Howard Johnson he was kind and very helpful with booking a room! Thank you Aaron for your understanding and being awesome! I was a happy and satisfied customer!!
The staff was nice and they served breakfast even bf it was supposed to be, since they knew a lot of guests were going to navy graduation super early. Not the best option, but you get what you pay for. The only thing I really really disliked was that my room smelled whether with weed or cigarettes or whatever it is idk, so I guess they tried to clean it with way too much chemicals and without opening the windows (and I have some kind of allergy to chemicalsAnd weed). Also my friend didnβt have hot water in his room. But overall nice staff and my room was clean. So donβt want to mess up the rating bc of these minor complains.
Employees were nice and helpful but the hotel, Im was not too imppressed. My room was about $ 180.00 for two nights, and I dont think it was worth it. The pillows are so small and uncomfortable at though they are infants pillows. I had a hard time sleeping on them - cleaningness wasnt that great either - coffee maker was dirty as well as the towels in the room. They had stains on them. The fan in my room was so loud I had to turn it off. I was able to hear every private business coming from the room next to me - It was kinda hard to stay asleep. I think I paid way too much for what I got.
We had to come in for a work issue, and overlapped with the Naval graduation, so this is where we ended up. The staff was very helpful, switching us to a room that had a real queen size bed and a window that looked outside. They also found a bedside lamp for us, as there werent any in the room when we checked in. Overall cleanliness was pretty good, but the bathroom needs a deep clean, as there was dirt around the base area and some previous tenant goobered something on the bathroom door that also decorated the window shade. The toilet seat should be replaced. The shower was clean. The side we were on is getting a face lift, so hopefully some improvement in cleanliness will come with that. The bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, crisp, and smelled fresh. Towels are scratchy, but they usually are anywhere we go. Breakfast was continental and little inadequate. It was nice that he building is now smoke-free, but the room still smelled stale, with tell-tale signs of previous smoker damage..
The people there were fantastic we had booked a room at another hotel to find out it was roach infested. The gentleman behind the counter took us to our room and let us check it out before we even paid for it. The breakfast area was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and when I left something in the room after I checked out the woman behind the counter went into the room and found it. They held it until I came back. I am extremely happy and grateful that they take care of their customers the way they do. I will definitely stay there again.
I spent approx 4 days there for graduation, which was held 14 Feb. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom( queen size) which i requested was clean, furnitures were okay enough. Breakfast provided wasnt much but there is a restaurant right in front of the motel, about 1 min away, thats open 24/7. Also the motel is close to the recruiting centre, shopping malls and other restaurants. Well my time spent there was great. I had no complaints.
Although better than most in Waukegan the cleaning of the room was not good. Toe nail clippings on the floor. Hair in shower. Toilet seat needed to be wiped. Floor in general dirty along the walls and under furniture. Guy at counter no mask, behind a partial shield but still should have a mask.
Our rooms were great, and we had a marvelous stay. There were no issues, everything was clean, and no sign of infestation of any sort. Housekeeping did a great job making sure we had all the supplies we needed.Carmen was absolutely amazing. She was patient and incredibly helpful with all the room changes I had to make. She made sure I had a roll-away waiting for us.The doubles were roomy and comfortable. The rooms had a mini coffee pot, microwave, and decent sized mini fridge. The only issue we had was with the WiFi, and a simple call to reset the router fixed that within minutes.I will definitely stay at this Howard Johnson again. Thank you!
First off let me say that the staff is awesome! I can only speak for my experience with my room. Room 202 was COMPLETELY outdated, it looked as if the got their furniture from an antique store. The ceiling above the beds look like it would fall on us. But the bathroom is a whole other story, the tile was cracked by the tub and when you went to get into the tub the floor would move down, my daughter was afraid to get in and out of the shower. The formica was lifted all over the counter and held on by small nails. For the toilet to flush properly you had to hold the handle down until it completely flushed. The shower was very small and I have never seen a shower like this before. The only breakfast they offer is 2 kinds of cereal, small donuts, mini muffins, and raisin toast. Oh and there was a couple cups of yogurt. I for 1 would not stay in this hotel again if I ever had to come back to Chicago for anything.
Fair price. The room we were initially given smelled like somebody smoke weed in it. However after talking with the receptionist we were able to get a different room. All the amenities were great. Complimentary breakfast was not available. The hotel itself look nice, it look like it was recently remodeled or repainted. I would highly recommend it.
It was surprisingly nice in the room... although when I looked out my window the surprise of seeing a cut screen and a knife on the roof of the storage company was a little unnerving... There isnt a elevator so I had to struggle with my luggage up the stairs... the breakfast lacked pretty much everything... there is coffee and juice... luckily there is restaurant next door...
I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. The pictures online are very misleading! Our first room was so dirty! There was stuff on the walls, mold on the ceiling and the door to the bathroom was taped together! I asked that our room be cleaned and they switched us to another room. We thought this was better, but the toilet wouldnβt flush (the handle inside was held together by a twisty tie!), there was mold all over in the bathroom, and the water faucet in the bathroom wouldnβt stay on hot. I will NEVER stay here or at another Howard Johnson. For this price I would spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere wayyyyyyy nicer like the Holiday Inn express we stayed at last time we were in town!
We stayed 5 nights. The staff was very friend and nice. The room service personnel always keep our room very clean, vacuumed and bebs made everyday. She would even come back back to clean our room after she had already passed us when we didnt leave early. The breakfast was simple (coffe, cereal, bagels & muffins), but its was nice to have. The computer and printer in the lobby became very useful to us when we needed to print stuff. Very accessible location. My only complaint was that the carpet in the room was very dirty. If you walk with socks or barefooted your feet will be very dark. I wouldnt let a baby crawl around in the room. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5. Otherwise good place to stay in.
The lobby was super fresh and clean but the halls going to the rooms almost looked like they were remodeling (I hope?) Missing trim, old carpet, dingy. The room itself was clean and fresh but the furniture was cheap and beaten up. Overall not bad but for the price Id expect the rest of the hotel to look more like the lobby.
The rooms I had was newly renovated, they were nice, the bed was comfortable as well. The bath and toilet were clean as well. The free breakfast had a few choices but it was alright. You could see that the hallways were old though. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I had an exceptional stay at the Howard Johnson. Not one bad thing to say! From the time we checked in until the time we left 3 days later! The staff was very pleasant, and continually aided to everyoneβs wants and needs! Our rooms were very clean, beautiful hardwood flooring! They were on top of replenishing towels, and whatever else we needed. The breakfast was an array of nice choices from bagels, muffins and or cereal etc. We were able to use the computer to print some documents that we needed was very convenient! Very close to restaurants, Dunkinβ Donuts, and even Walmart. Very quite through the night so we were able to get some much needed rest after traveling long hours!! The staff were very personable, very friendly and engaged in conversations with us; making us feel right at home! They helped to make our few days there to see my sons Navy Graduation a rememberable one! I would definitely stay here again.
I now see why most reviews are average. There has been some updates, but from what I can see they were only to the entry way, lobby, and breakfast area. The room was typical, bathroom could have been cleaner, and the bed was horrable. The reason I picked this place was because most of the reviews said they had comfortable beds. . Mine was not. The bottom half of the bed was sunk. I would probably not stay again.
The price for the room for 4 nights and 5 days was very reasonable. It was very clean. I would have gave it 5 stars if it was handicap accessible. It did not have an elevator to the second floor. So we had to make several trips to carry our luggage to the 2nd floor. There were plenty of places to eat that offered many different varieties to choose from!!! I would recommend this Howard Johnson.
Just went there for our sons graduation from boot camp. The room still smelled of cigarette smoke. Crapet was nasty in the room and the hallway. Dirty towels left in the bathroom. Did not feel safe at all. Was expecting to see a chalk outline of a body somewhere in the hotel. Wish I would have seen reviews before booking. Giving it one star is generous
We wanted a decent priced place ($80) to stay while we went to six flags. The hallways smelled like a mix of cleaner/smoke and the parking area was scary since it was behind the building and very dimly lit with people standing outside around the vehicles at night. Our room had a super disgusting bathroom with what looked like black mold that had tried to be wiped and broken tile (see pictures). We also noticed they had used painters tape in some places to hold the carpet up, which is sad. The bed was tiny and hard as a rock. We stayed in room 116.
Worst hotel I have ever been to. Expected more from a Howard Johnson. Faucet leaked, bathroom tile was broken, pink mildew growing on tile baseboards, and nasty globs of i dont know what on the bathroom walls. Room heater was either full on hi or turn it off, absolutely no middle ground. So you either froze or slept in a sauna. Continental breakfast was a few frozen bagels and mini muffins and the food and coffee was empty less then an hour after it started. Informed the staff of these issues that sent a lady to clean it but she did nothing. Will never go to a Howard Jhonson again after this experience
I did check for bed bugs, it was clear. Low lighting adds to the drab of this place. Very dated and smells odd. But the room is clean! Just ugly and smells like old cigs and dog.I was expecting newer accommodations when I made the reservation over the phone, We are approaching our 1st anniversary . It is cheap.
This hotel was absolutely the worst experience ever. The hotel was very out dated. The pillows were very small and when asking for another one upon request, the lady at the front desk gave me a hard time about it. The beds were comfy but small. The wifi DID NOT work in our room and we asked multiple times to reset it. The ladies at the front desk looked at us like they had no idea what we were talking about. AND when trying to print our boarding passes on the computer thats in the lobby, the printer ran out of ink so we asked the front desk girl and she told us tough luck Not a very good response to someone who works in the same industry.
This place looks good on the internet, its not. Pulled the bait and switch on us after booking the room. Traded our 2 queens for 2 twins and then said sorry, were booked. No offer of anything, just full price for the queen room we originally booked. Claim they have a restaurant, they dont. Their is a restaurant that shares a parking lot with them. The only thing they have is a continental breakfast but they claim full breakfast on the website. I will be contacting the better business Bureau for false advertising and switching the rooms on us.
Staff was very courteous. The hallway smelt like mildew along with a strong ordor of cannabis in the hallway trying to cover it up with perfume. The room smelled like an old ash tray. The toliet kept trying to overflow for the duration of the the night I was there. However I fixed it myself.
They need need to be trained in customer service. We were quoted a different price from what we booked online. Then they refused to give us the price due to an error of a new employee. Wow their error but we have to pay for the price of that. On top of that we booker for 2 queen beds and was given 2 full size beds. What a rip off. When we tried to talk to the manager they gave us the runaround. Terrible. I hate the place. I would never recommend it to anyone there was a lot of other places to stay nearby but picked that place coz it was affordable and had an ok rating online. if i only knew it was going to be a horrible experience i wouldnt have stayed there. Better at a motel6. So to all those people thats trying to go to illinois and watch their family member graduate from bootcamp dont stay at howard johnson. That place really sucks.
Room was clean but it had old and out dated furniture. The Ice machine was broken and the carpet in the hallway was dirty. On a good note the breakfast was good and service was provided with a smile. I expected something better from a Wyndham partner hotel this is my second not so great experience staying in a Wyndham partnered hotel. I guess I will stick to using my Hilton honors points from now on.
This is a beautiful hotel with the owners changing two years ago. I remember when they had different owners. The halls were smelly from ciggertets, pot, and other illegal drugs. Toda the hotel is smoke free and you always are seeing a good housekeeper taking care of everything and its so clean. I love the fact no drug addicts staying among us.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE (especially from Tracy!!) the room was comfy a bit outdated but wasnt a problem. Clean hotel & not too far from RTC For the Naval basic training graduation. Theres also a few quick food spots near by & not far from the outlet mall. Will definitely be staying here again when I have to come back!
The breakfast was pretty lame. I look for fruit and waffles not a breakfast bar thats out of food at 9 am. And my room didnt have a tub just a walk in shower and when i asked to have my room switched because it was loud by the entrance and my room smelled like fart they said it would be an extra 15 dollars. Never coming here again! There beds are hard and uncomfortable. The only good thing was the fridge and the tv in the room. Id try another hotel before coming here again. The ramada across the way was really nice :)))
Room we stayed in was a bit dated, but other than that this two-story motel is a great inexpensive place to stay! Room was spotless and smelled clean. Front desk staff is friendly as well as housekeeping staff. Only negative if you can consider this negative is there is no elevator to the 2nd floor, if you have a disability that prohibits walking up stairs or just plain lazy make sure you request a room on the ground level. The parking lot is shared with the multiple business, but during the weekend parking is a non-issue. The HoJo cafe serves a great breakfast and the portions are huge for what you pay! All motel guest receive 10% off. Across the street is White Castle Burger if youre in the mood for sliders instead!! Bottom line, you cant go wrong with your stay here.
Worst hotel I have ever seen. The dead rotting bird at the front entrance should have been a tip off. Rooms dirty. Halls awful. Area does not look safe. We cancelled our reservations and went to Gurnee where we felt safer. Definitely will never stay at another Howard Johnsonβs again.
This place is not worthy of the Wyndham resorts association. To begin with the parking was inadequate. As we entered the corridor to our rooms the odor was hard to handle. The ac made so much nose I couldnt hear the tv. The hair dryer in the room didnt function. Every time we left or room or keys needed to be re programmed. Im not satisfied with the experience and would not recommend this place to others.
We had a little trouble finding our way around because one of the entry locks didnt work. But its a clean facility and everyone is nice. We got information about navy graduation that we didnt know. There were police cars and sirens constantly, so Im guessing we werent in a great neighborhood, but I felt safe.
BEST HOTEL IN AREA! Over all considering the price, staff, free wifi, and use of lobby computer and cheerful cleanish atmosphere. Extremely sweet and friendly staff. Absolutely no smoking inside which is fine by me. The room we have definitely could use a fresh cleaning and maybe a facelift with matching furniture, the room does have an iron and ironing board, hair drier, LOTS of outlets and even lamp with usb charging station on night stand. The room also offers a decent size mini fridge and microwave and also a 36 LCD TV with cable and HBO etc. The free breakfast includes bagles, cream cheese, toast, yogurt, cereal, cake ring doughnuts and mini muffins, fruit, milk, juice and coffee and other like items. The housekeeping staff is VERY friendly and welcoming. Tgis hotel is not high class but it is classier than any of the other hotels in the area! I do recommend
Our Son graduated from the Naval Academy. Howard Johnsons Hotel was less than 3 miles away. I gave 5 stars βbecause of the most comfortable hotel bed that I have slept on. Plenty of USB plug ins, in the room, the computer and printer in the lobby for guest use, which I needed to use while there. The super friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was very accommodating and kind. The rooms were updated and we had in our room an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator and a 40 flat screen tv. Free breakfast every morning and 10% off at theGo-Jo restaurant in the same parking lot.
Its dirty and the rooms are not very nice the staff is pleasant but I wont be staying at another in the future. Sheet had a rip and be cover had a burn hole. They left an old soap on the counter and the ac looked disgusting the drop tiles in the bathroom are stained and discolored.Update: tried to contact the manager and was told theyd call me back. Never heard back. Called again and again was told theyd call me back. No call. This place is trash.
Stay Away from this place. The staff is horrible. The placd is dirty and nasty. Reeks of marijuana. If u have to stay here by lack of options pay cash. One star is to many. They swiped my debit card four times when I was there for my sons graduation from the Navy and the only bad experience from the whole trip was our stay here at this crappy hotel. Sometimes cheap is exactly that. Spend the extra bucks and avoid all the hassle and frustration by staying somewhere else. There is nothing worse than incompetent staff with pore customer service and lack of accountability for their mistakes. TRUST ME STAY AWAY. ALL NAVY FAMILIES RUN FROM THIS HOTEL. ITS PISS PORE SEEVICE AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED OR POSSIBLY SHUT DOWN. Its injustice for a business like this to take advantage of families traveling from all over the world and country. -Julia Navy Mom Division 255 8-18-17
To be completely honest about this motel. It was great. A few situations i can explain myself on as for one the air conditioning failed. They had two of the most experienced peopke on hard aa for taking good care of their guests. Would you believe an elder wonen came in the room and replace it in 10 minutes. ALSO its a desk clerk name Latoya, excellent service just as well be a five star counselor motivation assistance on hand that comfort me. through a situation I was having with my daughter. Howard Johnson is a place that will make you feel right at home. I rate this pkace a 5 star hotel... Thanks so much
The Shower and bath did not work! No water at all. Because it was 4:30 in the morning when I discovered it, all the girl could do was give me a key to an empty room to let me use that one. Imagine having to grab your clothes run down to another room then when your done, grab your stuff again and run back. The walls must be thin too because I could hear the woman next door yelling at her husband or whoever at 5:30 in the morning. Plus... as a cherry on top, this has to be the ugliest room ever. Imagine 1972... got it? That was my room... in bright orange. I wish I could post a pic.
I stayed here for 5 nights visiting my fiancΓ© at the navy base. Very convienent location bc there are many many restaurants nearby which are walking distance. Other than the storm causing an outage, my stay at the Howard Johnson was great. I read lots of bad reviews so I definitely wasnt expecting much. It was nothing like everyone said. There was a microwave, refrigerator, iron, ironing table, hangers, tv, wifi, desk, desk chair, and a little couch that was extremely comfy. Ac worked great as well. I really have no complaint about the Howard Johnson. Front desk was very very nice and always willing to help. I will definitely be staying there again if I go back to visit.
The Howard Johnson Waukegan is very nice and they just have been redoing all the rooms for a new cleaner look. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful this is a excellent place to stay and the rooms have flat panel TVs and refrigerators in all of them the Howard Johnson owns the restaurant next to it and you are able to get 10% off with you room key and the food is excellent.
So we stay at hotel 6/1616 it WAS HORRIBLE!! We came over hear in β in I wish we would have stay hear the 1st night.. But their was no pic. Only one review i was little scared.... The owner was nice.. Front desk lady was very NICE... The bed was comfy rooms r nice and clean .. The lady clean parking lot and carrying trash out was nice..Over all stay was 95 out of 100......
There is a reason all other hotels in the Waukegan area are sold out before this one. After years of staying at budget hotels, this has set the standards for a new low. Room Quality: The walls are paper-thin, so if you are next to a family with screaming young kids or a group of party-goers - you are out of luck. The bed linens had stains on them with a strong scent of Fe-breeze sprayed on them. No one goes to a hotel to sleep in someone elses dirty linens - but that is what you get here. The bathtub has hairs from the previous occupant. Do they clean anything? Overall feels cramped and dingy - I could stand the cramped - but again, even the cheapest hotels should at least be clean. Service: Do not trust what you are told, advertised, or even your printed final bill. The free shuttle as advertised on the Navy Graduation flyer updated in July 2017 is not free. It is $3-5 dollars each way, depending on the drivers whims. I had to check-out a day early to catch a flight and asked for the final bill - which charged me for one day - in the end I was charged for 2 days. This is after confirming the final bill with the lady at the front desk, Monique who has according to the general manager, been fired (how convenient). The General Manager Helen (who refused to give me her last name), said there was nothing she could do and I asked to escalate the issue up the chain - but she said there was no one above her - they are a franchisee. So in other words, she couldve honored the final bill and her employees confirmation but chose not to. It may take more looking, but there are other options in the area of you dont book early enough.
When we got here the tv did not work neither did the phone.THEN WE PULLED THE COVERS BACK GUESS WHAT....FU#$@&* BEDBUG. This place has bed bugs. Thank God we pulled the covers back within 2 mins. THE RECEPTIONIST TRY TO SAY IT WASNT A BEDBUG AND YOU CANT SEE BEDBUGS. GIRL BYE I AINT STAYING HERE...Give me my money Im out!!!!!!EVEN IF IT AINT A BEDBUG IT IS A BUG!!! I DONT DO BUGS, RATS, ROACHES....NONE OF THAT!!!!There was a reason I did not put my stuff on the bed!!! #NASTY #BEDBUGS #REFUND

2022-06-21The staff was very nice and helpful, the hotel is small and dated but my room was very clean. The guy who worked night shift was weird, I thought he was a homeless person hanging out. He wore the same sagging clothes for days, I could see his underwear. A few mornings I saw him sleeping at a table where breakfast was being served, which deterred me from going. He was polite but made me nervous. With a better dress code and a little customer service training heβll be ok. The hotel itself was nice and clean, the restaurant next door actually have great food and gives $10.00 off your food for staying at the hotel. I give it a π

2021-12-25I think this is our 5th stay. Ever since my oldest left for the Navy. Weβve stayed here while visiting. Iβve never had a problem with the rooms or staff. Every time I called they were very helpful. Now we were able to drive down to visit our son again on Christmas and his younger brother had the best Christmas present everβ¦spending time with his brother βΊοΈ!!! And the great thing is we were able to save money on our hotel with Wyndham rewards. Have a wonderful Christmas Holiday.

2022-01-28The room was filthy, just absolutely disgusting. The floors turned our socks black, the bedding was stained on one bed, the walls were dirty with scuff marks and food splatter and possibly even blood, the bathtub was dirty and there was mold on the shower walls behind the curtain rings, the mirror was splattered and dirty, a found a dirty sock on the shelf, etc. The room was set to 80 degrees when we arrived. Perfect breeding ground for germs and mold. I was given the same room a fellow navy wifes parents originally checked into just a few hours before. Wasnt cleaned even after they canceled their reservation and moved hotels. We shared almost the same images. Very sad. Our rental car was also keyed in the parking lot so not such a great neighborhood either.

2022-06-19First of all, the location of the hotel seemed very unsafe. I felt uncomfortable leaving my car in the parking lot. When we checked in, the staff was very rude and unfriendly. When we got to our room, we found the tv had no remote and the coffee maker had no pot. The beds were pretty hard. The overall vibes of this place were off. We were in town for an event and we decided to check out 4 hours after checking in and decided we would rather drive all night back home than to stay at this sketchy hotel. Do not recommend, especially if you are staying here with children.

2022-03-22Ugh...shares a parking lot with drivers services. Wich means parking can be a pain. Housekeeping...what Housekeeping? I had to leave my trash outside the door and go to the front for towels. I asked Housekeeping for a plug for the tub so my kids could take a bath and she brought me a toilet tank flap. Breakfast is a muffin. Our hallway smelled like weed the whole 4 nights I was there. Plus side. A taxi service to and from Navy graduation for $3 a person. The restaurant across the parking lot is very good.

2021-08-06What a clean and well updated cozy 3 Star hotel. All the staff we encountered were smiling even the cleaning staff. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind. The room is very clean, AC works, nice decor updates. Somehow feels modern and yet like a cross country road trip motel from my childhood all at the same time. I like the sink is outside the bathroom. Microwave and fridge make it easy to prep simple meals. Internet works well and is fast. In our booking comments we asked for an extra cot in the room which they gave us for no extra charge. It is a no smoking hotel but apparently some people smoke (and get fined) so just double check that your room doesnt have a smoke smell.I was a little hesitant when pulling up because of shared parking with Secretary of State but it wasnt an issue at all. We just parked on the far end.

2021-11-09This hotel by far is the worst place Ive never stayed at. Our first room reeked of cat urine so no, our second room smelled of cigarette smoke, which was tolerable but the many stains on the bedding and the cigarette butts we found on the floor was a no also. Our third room smelled ok but the dryed buggers on the dresser and the half cup of moldy ranch dressing in the refrigerator was about all I could take. So I asked for a refund and was told I had to pay for 1 night and also pay the pet fee like theyre really going to clean the room any better because I had a small dog with me. So I cut my loses and paid the fees just to get out of that dump. We went to the Navy Lodge and all was good.

2021-12-13Positive: Nothing about the hotel was impressive. Negative: The pictures on the website doesnt do any justice. It very old everything is out dated. The toilet seat was old, when you get off of it it hits the wall. The tub has cigarettes burns on it,looks like someone was sitting in the tub and just left it burning.

2021-09-19The lady up front when we checked in was nice. For the price we paid to me wasnt worth it. Either they are short handed or the cleaning people dont know how to clean. There were dead bugs all along the wall behind the nightstand. The wall behind the bathroom door needs wiped down. The other entrance to the hallway smelled like urine. Beds to me were hard. The toilet wasnt flushing properly.
