Positive: Location was good!! Also, I stayed there for one night (Feb 25) and the two gentlemen (don¿t) remember their names) at the front desk were great. Very personable and helpful with all the questions we asked.
Very clean, new, plenty of parking, and cheap (for weekday stays at least). Shower is awesome (3 wall jet behind you, rainflow shower head, and a handheld head). Only downsides are a very limited breakfast (by my normal Holiday Inn Express standards, but that may be due to low number of customers during the weekdays) and a railroad just out back with trains that go by that can be noisy at night.
We stayed for a family wedding and had a great time! The hotel was so close to the casino and restaurants. Rooms were very clean and coffee and breakfasts were great!!!
The hotel itself was decent, although overpriced for a HIE, in my opinion. The people in the room next to mine were up shouting ALL NIGHT LONG and people were very loud in the hall and opening/closing doors all night. Apparently there was a wedding group staying in the hotel. But regardless I got no sleep and the management did nothing to attempt to quiet the guests down.
The general manager gretchen timm is a fantastic person she has perfect customer service and always helps customers the hotel is very clean and nice the environment the food and cleanliness are perfect the cleanliness has a 10 and the pool very clean and nice many thank you for everything if you forget gerardo and his other employees they are very attentive to all thank you

Positive: location and staff is always accommodating and helpful... Negative: yes.....your new type of soap...that dove bar or should I say marble is just too small...
It was a great price with convenient parking. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel offered a good continental breakfast with lots of cold or hot options. The room was very clean with very comfortable beds. It was a very pleasant stay for a big group of 8. Including that covid precautions were safe but did not hinder our family trip.
We had an excellent two day stay. We were in town for a wedding and they can be pretty hectic to plan or prepare for. This meant that our rooms were not booked the way we thought they were and there was some concern that we wouldnt be able to stay. The staff, Tony in-particular, quickly found us a solution within our budget and we ended up having a great time! The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and we left well rested. Couldnt have been happier with my stay!
Coming from Rockford wanted a place close to Rush Conley hospital. Had an appointment on Monday following our stay. The hotel was appealing with brightness and cleanliness. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Parking close to building at no charge. That’s a plus. Breakfast was a great selection. Excellent coffee. So important to us first thing in the morning.
Wonderful ease of pre check in, to the desk staff being super helpful. We booked the kids suite so they let us know there was a PS4 and had us rent 2 games for free at a time and told us all about the breakfast. The morning attendant both days I’m the breakfast area was super nice and helpful. Super enjoyable stay for a wedding. We had a block of rooms and no issues!
We chose this location for our stay as we were attending a concert just across the street from the hotel. There is a fabulous restaurant called Two Brothers within walking distance as well. Our room was clean, and the bed was divinely comfortable. All furniture and lighting was functional and even a little funky (the lift on the table and the mood lamp on the desk)! The mini fridge and freezer were perfect. The freezer was actually separate from the refrigerator, not the teeny weeny ‘space’ inside of the fridge….an actual freezer, that kept ice as ice, and frozen items frozen. It’s those little things that impress, you know? The shower was refreshing, and the hotel was nice and quiet. Thank you for a pleasant stay!
When I arrived my room didnt have a bar of hand soap or any caffeinated coffee pods, but once I got those from the front desk I was fairly satisfied. The breakfast options offered were disappointing. Its still grab and go due to the pandemic, but there were very few options and no fruit left by the time I got down there around 8:00am.Service was decent and the bathroom was actually big enough to move around in, so overall a pretty decent hotel stay.
Our room was great. Comfortable bed, nice living space and bathroom, nice strong shower. Everyone we encountered was very nice, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was just a “grab and go” consisting of some microwave foods, cereal, yogurt, etc. Overall it was quite good for what it was but thought there would be more prepared foods, with maybe a waffle machine, sausage, eggs etc. Still was ok overall with some good items to choose from. Biggest issue was that for some reason they did not do any house keeping in our room for our entire stay of 3 nights. Could get extra towels etc if we asked housekeeping who cleaned vacant rooms, but were told at check in there would not be any daily housekeeping. It was ok since we were only there for 3 nights, but I have never stayed in a hotel that did not come in and check towels, make bed etc. on a daily basis.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. There were not instructions for how to use the safe. Thats ok if you are young and limber. For us older folks who cant kneel, it was unusable. Coffee maker instructions were not clear. Where do you put the water? Cant set it up the night before. Thank goodness there was good coffee in the lobby for us early risers--earlier than our roommates. It was expensive for a small hotel.
I love this hotel and staff! I travel quite a bit for work and pleasure and this hotel is, by far, the best IHG Ive ever had the pleasure of staying at. I love the seating options indoor and outdoors. The ambiance is great...nicely updated lobby/seating areas as well as guest rooms.
Our room was fantastic except one little blemish. It looked like someone walked on our bed with their dirty shoes before we got in there. Figured Id get the negative out of the way... Otherwise it was a mostly positive stay. Every other part of the room was super clean and freshly remodeled. The bathroom was sparkling with great water pressure. I also really appreciated the large TV that my wife and I used to watch our wedding video from last year.
Overall a good experience. The trains were more of a quiet hum at night and not usually disruptive. It was nice to be within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Breakfast was good both mornings of my stay but the regular coffee carafe was empty by 7:15am the second morning and no one seemed to be making more.
The check in guy was great. Very courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was goureous,even if a tad small tub and shower. The breakfast was disappointing. The choices were late in arriving and very limited. The parking lot was pretty messy with leaves and debris. Overall, a good stay even if a little expensive.
After my wife had emergency surgery while we were visiting Chicago, we had to stay here during her recovery period of at least a week. The room was comfortable and spacious. The shower was easily accessible and safe for her. The breakfast offerings were varied and nutritious. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This was the worst holiday inn I have ever started at. The entire place was dirty. The elevator was sticky. Our room smelled moldy. There is a train directly behind the hotel. The heat did not work. The fridge was really loud. Just alll around a bad hotel.
My son was looking forward to using their pool but it was in disrepair during our visit. The hotel breakfast was still under some sort of covid restriction so they did not have any hot food to offer. The coffee was poor quality. The beds were very comfortable. The high pressure shower was amazing. My room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 4 nights while visiting relatives. The room was clean and very comfortable - the updates were beautiful and they gave me a quiet room as requested. I had a problem with the window blind that was fixed immediately! Front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. Masks were supposed to be worn but not enforced. And my only other pet peeve is that if they want guests to reuse towels, please provide towel bars to hang them on! Overall a great experience - I recommend this hotel and would stay here again!
Nice grab and go breakfast. Extremely comfortable bed, pillows and duvet. First time a hotel actually supplied the extra pillows i requested during booking. Would love to know the bed, pillow and duvet brands. The room couldve used a little air freshener, but other than that, everything was great! Front desk staff was awesome
We enjoyed our stay here! Would recommend breakfast choices for guests with allergies. My granddaughter is allergic to dairy, soy, nuts and eggs. My daughter has celiac. Please consider more choices.
Upon arrival I was met by friendly staff at the front desk. We had an issue with keycards but it was taken care of with an apology from staff. We found the room very spacious, clean and welcoming. Plenty of towels for our use. Overall we had a pleasant stay at this Holiday Inn Express and will recommend.
Location was good and rooms were clean but the bed was not as firm as I wanted. No housekeeping. Breakfast in a bag. I had transferred from a Comfort Inn a few miles away in N. Aurora which had firmer beds, great rooms, served a hot breakfast and provided housekeeping, at a better price. But the Comfort Inn was not walking distance to downtown. If I had had a car i would have picked the Comfort Inn, no question about it
Previously spent 3 days in an Ohio Lodge which was less than okay. Arriving in this Holiday Inn Express was like a breath of fresh air! The cleanliness and wonderful bed/pillows was what we had wanted to experience our whole trip! Would recommend. Only issue was with breakfast bags. There wasnt any left by the time we got downstairs (still within the breakfast bag time window)...but other than that, it was awesome.
This property is very clean, modern, and inviting. Its staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. If you have an event at the adjacent Two Brothers Roundhouse, this is THE place to stay!
Our family of five stayed here for 3 nights. Everyone of the staff I talked with - from the desk (both shifts), the breakfast bar, the cleaning crew, and even the landscaping guy - were friendly, helpful, and quick to serve. While I miss the normal hot breakfast, the food they had was good on taste, in great variety, and kept in good supply also. Well done team!!
Check-in was relatively smooth and fast, the room was nice, clean, and comfortable. No noise issues at night, so sleep was comfortable. I liked they had pillow choices (soft and firm). All the amentities in the room were very nice as well.
Great hotel. Excellent location, great atmosphere, even better accommodations. King rooms have sofa, large TV, microwave and refrigerator with coffee pot.
From the moment we check in we are taken care of. We stay here about every other month for business. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. We need to stay later on the morning and always given the late check out that we need. Genesse at the front desk always makes sure we get our preferred 1st floor room. As long as we have to travel to Aurora, IL we will stay at this Holiday Inn.
HIES hosted our guests after our wedding at Two Brothers and they were exceptional. Gretchen was patient, friendly and helpful throughout the entire weekend and even in our correspondence during the weeks leading up to the wedding. Unfortunately I dont know his name but whoever was manning the front desk the night of the party was also a saint - dealing with 100+ drunk people is a tall task and he handled it with a smile the entire time. Overall awesome experience staying here that was pivotal to a great weekend.
We drove 1207 miles after booking a room on priceline, just to be told our 8 lb dog was not allowed. We even clicked on pet friendly when booking the room. The front desk person was very unpleasant to deal with! I would definitely recommend somewhere else!
The staff was just terrific and so helpful. They gave us the information also for American Taxi dispatch and greatly appreciated the tip to call the night before. Gloria did a great job on our room. Loved the fridge, microwave and coffee plus the sofa and pull up coffee table. Sweet! My sister is staying there next week and I wouldnt send her there if I didnt like her. LOL!
Very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to walk around. The breakfast had everything except hot food. Must be short on kitchen staff on weekends. The refrig was full of yogurt, different kinds of milk, hard boiled eggs. The Manager and Staff were very kind and made sure they asked if we needed anything. I would recommend this particular Hotel to everyone!
I have tried to complete the survey sent after my recent stay but the site wont open having tried to enter the link location etc. The staff is great and room was clean and comfortable. I find it interesting that the room cost has gone up considerably since the last stay about two months ago. Probably some of that is the seasonal prices. But having said that, the price is up, there is no pool use, no room cleaning, cold breakfast which is ok for me but still... I just think that the quality is not quite what it was and amenities less and cost for a night considerably more.
I have traveled quite a bit for work and vacation and I have yet to stay in an IHG brand that is as updated, nicely furnished, and as pleasant as this one! This hotel and staff are a true gem!!! Gerardo and Andrew are soooo friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond to make their customers feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are nicely furnished, have comfy beds and many USB ports, outlets, and lights. I really wish that all IHG hotels were as beautiful and updated as this one.
We have to stay here for work, and it’s the best hotel we’ve stayed in! I love the breakfast sandwiches and the room looks expensively. Very clean and the staff is very responsive and nice to us. They remember our faces and I love that. The two guys we see regularly are really good at their jobs.

This hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable. We loved the extras in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body wash - all a good brand). The grab and go breakfast had enough choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We have no complaints whatsoever. Overall great experience.

2022-06-14We had our wedding in Aurora and had lots of guests from out of town. This was the hotel of choice and my wife and I stayed there as well. Its rare to stay somewhere and have no complaints but there are none. Its super clean, the rooms are big and well accommodated, and above all the service was top-notch. The front desk staff were so helpful. Ive stayed in a lot of Holiday Inns and this is the nicest. Would recommend to anyone.

2022-04-17Great experience. Stayed here for three nights while in town for a wedding. Staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. I really appreciate big bathroom counters, and small bathroom night light, and having a microwave in the room. I was disappointed we couldn’t log in to Netflix on the room TV or find any way to even purchase a movie.

2022-05-12This was probably the nicest Holiday Inn Express we’ve ever stayed at. The hotel was clean and the front desk staff couldn’t be any nicer, we appreciate their hospitality! Traveling all the way from Phila, they made our few nights stay very comfortable and enjoyable ! Shout out to Julius for being so friendly to our little baby ! Highly recommend if you’re visiting the area .

2022-01-31I travel to Aurora for work and drive the extra distance to stay at this hotel, as there are two other hotel options just minutes from my place of employment. This Holiday Inn Express has definitely set the standard for a great stay! The hotel is nicely updated with plenty of seating room inside and outside. Although not currently open, the pool and large hot tub are wonderful and relaxing! The staff (I see the evening shift more often) go above and beyond in welcoming guests, making small talk, and attending to their needs. The rooms are very clean, spacious and have plenty of counter space, lights, outlets, and USB ports. Beds/pillows are comfortable. This hotel and staff never disappoint! I only wish that every IHG I stay at while on vacation be nearly as nice as this one. A huge thanks to the staff for always providing a PERFECT stay!!!

2022-05-23Positive: Its always close to my family and close to my business location. Loved the pool. The staff was different but treated me very good and professional. Negative: for day of the week rate has a little high. But I will probably shop around next time.

2022-04-03Big comfortable beds, well appointed rooms.If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room on the front side of the building. There are train tracks that run behind the building.Easy walk to downtown. Skipping distance from the Metra station. Breakfast is nice.
