Positive: The location was amazing, it was close to family. Negative: I made a last minute reservation and then called the hotel to confirm. They canceled my reservation and I had to wait for 3 hour before I could check in because they could not locate my reservation to reinstate it. The room smelled like smoke.
The room was filthy!! I was so surprised when I opened the letout couch there was so much trash! And the linen wasnt changed on the bed nor the letout couch. First impression is not everything! Ive stayed at multiple HI Expresses all around the country and for this one to be one of the nicest looking, it was by far the filthiest!🤯Also notice apon returning to my room after a days work that, someone had entered my room and moved all of the furniture! I could tell because of the indentation on the carpet! This was before I opened the letout couch so I know it wasnt housekeeping!!!! Beware this place and it guest!!!!!!
My mother and I, both handicappers, were hoping for a first-floor room. We got a king room, but it was fine; no complaints. The room, including the bathroom, was pristine and well-appointed. Staff seemed delighted with my dog and were ready to help with any questions. We will definitely stay here again if we pass through this way again.
I enjoy staying here. Jody and Kim are wonderful. They are personable, friendly and very attentive to their guest. We enjoy talking with them. It makes our stay better for sure. We have stay frequently. All the staff is very nice. Only reason I give 4 stars is because the last few times the pool and hot tub have been dirty. Certainly not the fault of front desk.
Kim at the front desk is amazing! She made my stay more enjoyable because she has a great personality and is one of the best professionals I have met in the hospitality industry. The fire pit outside is nice but the cushions should be cleaned. There are only 2 cigarette but containers for the large patio area. They need to add ashtrays. The breakfast was inconsistent over my 2 week stay. The buffet was quick but mediocre while the menu breakfast was slow but better quality. The elevators were slow but not an issue for me. I didnt use the pool facilities but it didnt ever seem to be too busy.
This hotel was perfect for a business trip to Joliet. Super clean and spacious hotel. Gym is nice and big. I really appreciated the water they had available in the lobby. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here if I come back to Joliet.
Great place to stay! Weve stayed across the street at a competitor thinking it was good...until we stayed here! Friendly staff, soft beds, clean everywhere, great parking options behind building if needed. O! Go to Burger Theory and ask for Jose! He was the best server, so funny and sweet, and knew his job well. Were huge ice tea drinkers and instead of running back in forth (yes, we guzzle it!) he brought us out individual carafes to give us each an additional 3 or 4 drinks. Get the Chicken Egg Rolls and/or the Firecracker Shrimp, so yum! It was amazing service and delicious food. We will be back when we come to the area, for sure!
Very nice Hotel! My wife and I stay here once a month to get a night away from the kids lol. The rooms are very nice and clean and the front desk girls are super nice and extremely helpful. The pool and sauna are pretty dank as well and the fire pit is cool. I would have rated 5 star but the restaurant burger theory is garbage. We ordered the fish tacos and firecracker shrimp with chips and salsa and the tacos were nasty and cold along with the 🍤. They gave us marinara instead of salsa as well and the chips were so stale it was like they gave us left overs. They also were supposed to refund my money which never happened
We had a large group, came in late after a wake and needed to leave early in the morning for a military funeral. We were seated all together in the back so as to not disturb other patrons as there we 20 of us. Pinky Rose was our server and she attended to each of us in our group with professionalism. The food was great, service awesome, rooms extremely clean and comfortable. I would come back here again next time through town.
We walked up to the front desk with warm smiles and great hospitality. Our room was very clean and over looked the pond and patio in the back. Our bed was comfortable and had great water pressure from the shower. We did eat at the restaurant and service and food was AMAZING. Hotel was located right next to the highway which made it easy for traveling. It was also located next to the Casino so we had something to do during the night. We would definitely stay here again if needed in this location would recommend.
Staying at the Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations in every area expected for a hotel stay. The staff was extremely personable, accommodating, and professional. The entire Hotel very clean the rooms were spacious, updated and had a comfortable bed. Added bonuses included Bay Terrace area, pool, and an in-house restaurant with great food!
The bed was comfortable and room was clean. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE WERE SUB PAR AT BEST.The employee that checked us in did not greet me kindly or even look up from her computer and at one point, had her shoes off, in her bare feet, while behind the counter. The next night the front desk employee was THE ONLY EMPLOYEE ON STAFF OVERNIGHT (EXTREMELY unsafe!!!!) and because of this, was eating her dinner sprawled at the desk in a chair. She did not get up or move any food from view when we walked in/by.The pool was down the entire stay and was due to the maintenance man not being in yet all 3 times I asked (different days). There was trash left sitting I plain view of patrons, almost blocking the ice machine on our floor. We took pictures. This hotel is the highest priced in in area its in.My father stayed across the street at the Hampton Inn for less money and had good service with FREE breakfast. The management company, IHG Hospitality Group has been rude and not helpful with our complaints.Nice hotel...terrible employee work ethic and customer service, Management Company included.
We have always stayed Here when Visiting our son and grandkids. Initially our stays were perfect. But since the COVID outbreak, and this is probably due to less staff, the cleanliness has been disappointing. The elevator floors were not clean, the hallway carpets are in need of cleaning, at least on the 4th floor. Our room had a very funky odor. I was wondering if it was a room designated for those with dogs cause it kinda smelled that way. Our 2nd day, our dirty towels were picked up but no additional clean towels were left. This only left us with one bath and one hand towel for the 2 of us.We were surprised that the restaurant and bar were closed so early on July 4th. There were a lot of people outside waiting for fireworks and I’m sure like us would’ve enjoyed a drink while watching. The last visit was also disappointing because of the police action around the hotel. We will probably go elsewhere in the future.
We stopped at this hotel for just one night as we were driving cross country. It is conveniently located to the interstate, and has a lot of amenities just nearby (food, gas, etc). The hotel itself is clean, the staff is welcoming, and there are a lot of extras at the hotel to give you a lot of bang for your buck. They were so welcoming and helpful, and even took extra time during check in to say hello to our dog that we were traveling with. Honestly, I would have loved to have gotten to stay for longer than just to sleep! It was a lovely location. We will be back!
We were checked in on Saturday (12 Jun 21) by a very competent young lady. Great customer service presence, outgoing and helpful. Room was identified as being on the Quiet Floor. Boy Howdy! Was it quiet. The property had a dance competition and several baseball teams and we heard not a peep. Our room was well appointed and had excellent WiFi reception. The property offers a very decent line up of English and Spanish tv channels. There is lots of parking, but with the convention center being used finding spot can be challenging. The only other con is should your room face the front parking lot, youll want to draw the heavy drapes. Great security, very bright lights, but not so good for sleeping. The highlight was our breakfast in the Burger Theory. Our server, Emily, was just on the job two days. She did an outstanding job, patient with surely customers and as attentive a possible to make the dining experience enjoyable.
We love to stay here when competing in the Junior Olympics Association or Region meet. The kids love the pool and the pond in the back. The food is great, and the staff is friendly. We would love to see the pond return to its normal condition. There was some litter in the pond that needs to be extracted. We assumed it was due to COVID that the up keep might have been deprioritized. Its such an incredible feature for the hotel with the frogs, deer, fish, rabbits, etc.
The hotel and staff were excellent. The Italian restaurant near the hotel was excellent. The room and bathroom could have used a bit of cleaning. Not having a free breakfast added to the cost of the room, with the items being offered in the attached restaurant being the same as a normal Holiday Inn free breakfast buffet, but costing more than $13!
Clean room good bed nice bathroom air comfort control was good . Good price . Good restaurant. Parking spots too small hard to get door open far enough to get in Very poor parking had to park far away from entrance with no lighting . Hot water was nonexistent just warm enough to wash with. Could not find luggage carrier when leaving waited over 2 hours had to carry luggage out by myself had a lot to carry. Had to make numerous trips. Was there 5 days for wedding .Called about billing when got home and was given information about wrong room.
This is a nice place with a nice view. There’s a nice pool, hot tub, and sauna near the full fitness center. There’s a cute restaurant called Burger Theory inside. The breakfast is fresh, coffee only so so, however the servers are polite and not too pushy, they have just the right amount of concern. The ambiance at night is relaxed and chic, in the morning it’s energizing and vibrant. The hotel was clean and had sanitizer throughout. We will be returning.
I felt welcomed from the second I showed up until I left. The food was awesome and the staff is beyond the best. I hated to leave the room as it was Fabulous! The pool and sauna was incomparable to anywhere I have ever stayed. I will definitely go back and stay here every time I come back on vacation.
Our door lock wasnt opening with our key. Turns out the door lock was dead. The only way to get in was by contacting Front desk each time. They couldnt relocate us because the rooms were full. They werent even apologetic or nice about this. The attitude was horrible from staff. We had wedding gift bags requested to be given to our guests, and they also said that the front desk had a very bad attitude.
Overall I was impressed with the hotel and enjoyed my stay. The pool room was great as well with lots of seating, a hot tub, and a dry sauna as well. My only complaint was the access to the pool. The only way to enter is through the main lobby past the front desk. It’s a little odd going back and forth through the main lobby in pool clothes. Other than that the layout is great. Lots of of outdoor amenities and a restaurant on site is a nice feature as well.
My arrival went smoothly, the room and amenities were great but the restaurant needs to be better staffed. I ordered room service for breakfast at 8am and by 9:30 I called down because I hadn’t gotten my food and was told it was fixed but never brought up because it got hectic. I was offered to have it prepared once more but at that point It was too late my meeting was starting at 10am. The day before I had lunch there and it was very good but it wasn’t crowded so, everything was on point. I would recommend the restaurant to be better prepared for crowds!!
Was a nice hotel with lots of amenities. They chose to seal the parking lot during a holiday weekend and parking was awful, half the entry doors were locked and people were confused as to how to get in. Theere were also no baggage carts upon check in and check out. May it hard to enter from the wrong entrance and then all the way around the building with all your luggage. Also need to clean the carpets in common areas and in rooms. They were pretty stained and looked very dirty.
The hotel seems very clean and made me feel safe, but my main purpose of booking this hotel was to get some good quality rest after a 10 hour drive. I do not know if it was people letting loose in a hotel or if I was placed next to a block of rooms for a wedding, but this was definitely not a setting to get any sleep. First night had doors slamming as people went from room to room. Second night was people talking and laughing, which is surprisingly loud at 2 am.
Positive: Breakfast buffet and restaurant Negative: They overbooked and almost bumped me somewhere else. Then the room I was given was completely ruined by someone smoking in it, even though it was supposed to be smoke free building. Thank God I could move the next day but the first night was disgusting.
Booked in advance for a 4 day stay directly with H.I. website. Asked for a first floor and if possible handicapped accessible room. Web site accepted the reservation but failed to mention there are no fist floor rooms here.Next, we were directed to our third floor ordinary room with all of our bags only to find our keys were not programmed. The next morning when we left our room I had to run back to the room to get something and the keys again were not programmed.Upon arriving in the evening with a lot of bags we found out the keys locked us out again. Each time this happened i had to go to the front desk to get them reprogrammed. I shouldnt have to do this as we booked for four nights. They tried to blame me and where i held my key for the error... but my wife had the 2nd key in her bag and that didnt work either. This has happened each and every time I stay at H.I. Maybe they dont get many multi night guests.Additionally, since we were booked for four nights you would think for three people they would provide more than a very small bath soap, hand soap and shampoo that barely was enough for one person to shower for one night, never mind for the three us that first night.Previous to this stay evey H.I. we have stayed at provided complimentary breakfast. Not this one. They had an overpriced burger restaurant/bar that served low quality breakfast for $15 per person. There are plenty of good quality places in the area serving better food at less than $10 per peeson.Twomofnthe pillows smelled like perfume... as if they were not changed out leading me ti question theirnhouse keeping procedures.I am done with H.I. I am sure like with most companies they couldnt care less about 1 customer... but word of mouth is a powerful advertising tool.
Never feel Welcomed! Called to reserve room and she reserved it on wrong night. I had to call to get it right. Showed up to be told my room was not available because of Mold and sorry no more rooms available. Owners reply after explaining all this on a bad review was to send Rewards points for my inconvenience which didnt happen. Really!
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, very good portions and value. The room was as mentioned above - clean, calm and quiet. I especially liked the makeup mirror in the bathroom. I had an issue with the remote, but called to the front desk, and the clerk helped me get back to the programming.Id recommend this wonderful hotel! Love the hallway carpeting.
Nice Hotel but they offer nothing at the front desk if you forget something, like toothpaste!! So dont forget ANYTHING. Also the tub has a brown stain of God only knows what it was. Whatever it was was washed away with water. So obviously housekeeping never cleaned or sanitized the tub. GROSS
Stayed 2 nights. Kim at front desk is FANTASTIC!! Will get you anything you need. Were in the wrong room, ended up in the King suite. Kitchen with large fridge, table, microwave, lots of cupboards. The food is great. Pool was nice, no cold water, just right. Kids eat free, take a survey at brkfst, which is free and get. $25.00 American Express card. Nice weight room. What they do need is, more garbage cans in room. We only had 2 in a suite. Needed at least 2 more. Stock up with towels in swimming area. Also have a whirlpool and sauna too. Pets are welcome, $50 non refundable payment. Will be back again.
Overall the hotel is phenomenal! I typically stay here every other week or sometimes two weeks in a row. Its clean, has a great ambiance, and its affordable. My only concern is the lackadaisical attitude of the front desk staff. When I first started traveling to the area I stayed at another hotel across the street; the front desk staff ALWAYS has a pleasant disposition and are very accommodating. The front desk staff here (with the exception of Olivia) seems pensive and distracted most times as if they are multi-tasking and cant quite give the attention to hospitality that they should. Other than that I loo forward to my travels here each time.
I gave an excellent rating because my overall experience was great. The staff was helpful, called me by name, welcomed me back as I was there for several months off and on. The rooms were comfy however not as well lite as I prefer. It had excellent amenities. My favorite was the workout room which had everything I needed to stay fit. It was well kept up, very clean. The restaurant/bar was an added bonus with tasty food. The nightly specials were a nice touch.
Positive: The Beds were comfortable and the hotel was clean and pretty! Negative: The pool was closed our entire stay. At check in, the associate didnt even look up at me and wasnt wearing shoes. The associate the next night ate her dinner sitting at the desk with food sprawled over it. SHE WAS THE ONLY STAFF ON DUTY! VERY DANGEROUS
Hotel is very very clean!Pool is sparkling!Hot tub was crystal clear!Sauna brand newRestaurant (burger theory)has one of the best burgers I ever ate. Bar is very nice.bartender mike was amazing!Fire pit on rear patio was awsome! And most of all the staff.they worked together. You could see the passion they have. Its hard to improve excellence keep up the good work all of you❤❤❤❤
I have never had a more better quality experience then I did staying at this hotel. I give it a 10/10. It was very clean. The cleaning staff was constantly cleaning and sanitizing. The front desk staff were very helpful. It was a very friendly atmosphere. The restaurants food was amazingly delicious. I would recommend anyone stay here.
Horrible excuse for a business center only two computers in the lobby, one of which didn’t work and the one that did work is extremely slow and the printer did not work as it was out of ink and they had no clue when the ink would be coming in.They use way too much air freshener in the room it was migraine inducing.Any room even slightly near the elevator will guarantee you zero sleep. The elevator loudly Double dings every time the door opens. As a professional traveler this is the loudest elevator I have heard, it is as if they have the volume turned up high. Isn’t this a hotel where people sleep or rest? The decor in the room is nice however that means nothing when it is poorly managed and the key features of a hotel (rest, relax, and be a home away from home) are overlooked. The parking set up is very inconvenient and you will likely park far away from the elevator.I stayed with a spire elite IHG member. They checked us into a room that was literally next to the elevator and ice machine.
Booked online as I am an IHG member. Price was set on line but when I checked in 2 of the 4 days was $60 more a night. Their explanation was its the going rate. Check in after a day of travel, settle in, shower and go to hang a towel and the holder is hanging on the wall broken. Get in bed and want to watch tv so I use the remote and wont turn on, low and behold no batteries. I call to the front desk and ask for a new one to be brought up, simple answer was if you want a new remote you will have to come to the front desk and get it Next morning I go the front desk and the clerk says they were sorry and would put a new remote in the room and fix the towel holder. As you can guess show up after being gone all day no remote and broken towel holder. Had to go back down get a remote and get stuck in an elevator for 5 min that would barely move (WTH). Wake up in the morning go down to get coffee and sit outside and there were homeless people with pull carts sleeping on the patio furniture with all their stuff spread out. Day 3 out of towels in the morning and ask for new ones, yep you guessed it, no towels, so back down stairs to get towels. At an average of over $200 night you would think the service would be better. The only thing good about staying there was burger theory restaurant which was good. Use caution when checking in and check those inflated rates. The hotel is newer and cleaner than the others in the immediate area hence the higher price but not worth it for the service you get. Im very disappointed IHG and Holiday Inn from an elite member in your program.
We enjoyed our stay! The pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was nice to be able to eat at the on-site restaurant and avoid going out in the cold. We were even able to watch about 5 deer wandering behind the hotel. The outdoor firepit was a nice touch too.
I love the fact that there are a few selections of how you want to spend your night either at the lobby computer, tv to watch movies, restaurant for dine in comfort, as well as fire pit. I also like the cleanliness of my room I felt that management really enforced cleanliness and accuracy. What I didn’t like about the stay is breakfast vouchers are for kids only and I also was not provided with vouchers nor told about the offer during check in.Also I thinkCheck out should be at least 12pm.
Front desk manager Kim was amazing. I came in exhausted and stressed after a very long day driving for a cross country move. By the time she got us checked in I had a smile on my face and stress level was way down. She was just that friendly. The room was perfect (quiet and clean) and the bed felt like the Heavenly bed! Burger Theory was delivered in 15 minutes and was great (heavy on the mustard, but that is personal preference vs Burger Theory issue). I will stay again next time we’re passing through without hesitation.
Positive: It was very convenient for our family reunion. beautiful hotel. Negative: Only thing that I can think of that there is not an ice machine on the second floor. Had to go looking for one up and down the hallway, only to find out it was on third floor, Every hotel we have stayed at has an ice machine located on every floor.
I was disappointed to find that there was mold growing in my air conditioner. And also when I was in the pool I had to call three times before getting towels. Plus before I got into the pool I walked to the front desk and I told the clerk was no towels In the pool area. When I asked for help at check out with getting someone out in a wheelchair plus my luggage I was told there was no one to help at this time. I wrote the company and they just said sorry about your experience. Mold growing in the air conditioning in a room what is disgusting for a senior citizen that already has breathing problems.
There was a Michelada festival in the conference room (DURING COVID!!). There was nowhere to park since they gave the parking to the festival goers. The hand sanitizer stations were all empty. There was no bottled water to be found in the hotel and as mentioned, couldnt leave due to parking. My room was over the festival, which would have been nice if I liked to hear club music blasting while I slept. The front desk was rude upon check-in. The only saving grace was the nice looking room and the desk person upon check out. Bad set up to have rooms above the party room. Have employees stock the sanitizer and water.
Very rude costumer service went out side to my vehicle and came back using my card that was issued and the woman at the desk gave me the rundown to verify that I was staying there that was 45 minutes wasted and wen I checked out in morning I left my hat in the room and asked to for a card to retrieve it and she refused to make the 10 click on the mouse to issue a card because it was to much work to reinstate my room and recheck out I had to wait for some else to come and do it that was this morning need had an issue lake that need will stay there again
This hotel was fantastic. The staff were outstanding, the room was perfect, and the restaurant (Burger Theory) had amazing food (with a very charismatic and attentive bartender). The beds were so comfortable, with big fluffy down comforters and 4 pillows on each bed (2 soft, 2 firm). The absolute best in the area!
Seriously this hotel will make you feel like a big shot. The rooms are clean, crisp and stocked well. The staff are a great reflection of the hotel again giving you the feeling of importance. The one drawback is the resturant attached to the hotel, Burger Theory.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEYI could try and be positive but clean silverware isnt enough to draw me in.Of the four plates of food my table ordered three were sent back.1st had plastic in the burger2nd was no bbq, but it was smothered in it3rd had a shrimp with the fries that was old enough to turn hard as stone. All of the burgers are frozen!!!For a place that is all about burgers they had a really hard time.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find out that they upgraded our room to what we found out was one of the long term suites. We walked into the room and absolutely loved it. So much so that we decided to forego our plans for the evening to just hang out in the room, call for room service, and watch a couple movies before turning in. We will definitely be back if ever back in the area for an overnight stay
My family stayed at the Joliet Holiday Inn on a Saturday night. We had a fantastic experience. Mia, at the front desk, was informative and helpful. We had great rooms that were clean and incredibly comfortable. We ordered breakfast in the morning; it was delivered to our room warm, the portions were large and everything was delicious. A 5 Star hotel in my book.
I was supposed to stay at your hotel last weekend after a wedding. I booked a reservation months ago within the wedding block and unfortunately when we arrived the hotel had overbooked and given our room to someone else so we had nowhere to stay. Needless to say we are incredibly upset that this happened and still have not been able to get ahold of anyone at the hotel to make things right.
From start to finish, this hotel is amazing! We stayed in a King Executive, very clean, spacious and comfortable! We were graciously accommodated checking in early. The Burger Theory Restaurant/Bar (on site) is very nice with delicious food and great service. The grounds are well kept and even though we didnt get to enjoy the outdoor space, it looked like it would be very relaxing. Location was close to everything we wanted to do and was easy to find. We will definitely be back!!
I have stayed at this hotel many times for business and enjoyed my stay. So I didnt hesitate to book a room for my wife and I. We needed an early start in the morning for a meeting in Chicago. Unfortunately, our room was close to the elevator which was noisy and our neighbor decided to scream at her children at 1:30 am until about 3 am.
This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. This hotel did not enforce any of the COVID 19 protocols they had put in place and posted all over the hotel. Numerous times when we walked past the front desk the front desk workers had their masks below their nose or on their chin. While checking out, the front desk staff had her mask completely off. I asked her to put her mask back on and she gave me a very dirty look. I then pointed to the sign that said masks are required at all times. She then put her mask on. Staff was also not enforcing guests wearing their masks in the hotel. Guests would walk up to the front desk without a mask on and not be asked at all to put a mask on. My boyfriend and I even had to get out of an elevator as a family of four walked into the elevator when there were signs everywhere saying only 4 people at a time. This hotel did very little to protect the safety of it’s guests. The only reason my boyfriend and I were staying at this hotel is because my mother is a nurse who contracted COVID. I just had to take her off of life support. This hotel could have potentially exposed me to COVID and risked seeing my mother for the last time. Also, a few more complaints: 1. When checking the floor to make sure I did not leave anything behind, I found a huge spider web under the night stand. Disgusting. 2. The bathroom shower literally had dirt on the wall. 3. We had to get 3 different room keys, as the keys stopped working every day for the last 3 days. I highly recommend not staying here.
After many years staying at HI, an emergency had us leave after only 30 minutes at the hotel. We told the employee what was going on and she was very compasionate and said she would talk to her manager.Never heard a word just the full bill.We will never stay at another HI property again. There is no loyalty.By the way you should have more people working at your hotel.
This location is beautiful from the time you step inside the front door throughout the entire hotel. The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Out back they have a gorgeous patio with fire pit and seating next to a pond. We sat outside in the morning and it was very relaxing. The restaurant inside the hotel has great burgers and fires. All in all a great stay!
The hotel looks very nice. Weight room is up-to-date. The pool is nice. The area in the back with the firepit and pond had nice ambience. The restaurant inside is a good restaurant. The only problem I had was that the suite I reserved was not available when I got there and they promised they would move me into the suite the next day but called the next day and said it was still unavailable. The room we were forced to take was kind of small. I would try them again so I can experience the suite I wanted and hopefully boost the rating but for now I am unsatisfied.
The hotel was perfectly clean, beautifully decorated for the holidays. The rooms were clean and well appointed and attractive. Having a microwave and refrigerator was very convenient! Although we did not use them on this trip there is an indoor pool and gym as well as a business center so this should meet a number of needs.
Very relaxing room and beds. Had dessert from restaurant...was delish but over priced for what you got. This was the first time of many stays here that I was not happy with the check in clerk. Made me wait till she was finished shuffling around a stack of papers before she would check me in. In a pandemic, I would say get the people to their rooms and out of the lobby as fast as possible!
First time we stayed here at the Holiday Inn when they first opened, it was excellent service. It seems to have gone down hill from there. Before the check out time we had a cleaning crew member walk in on my husband and I. Then my brother and his wife whom were staying in the another room had someone walk in on them at 3am, the front desk mixed up the rooms and gave a key to their room to another person. Then only offered $20 off the room. Also are allowing people to walk around without masks. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.
Our suite was very spacious and clean. The lobby area, pool, and basically everywhere we came across was very well maintained and luxurious for the price. The restaurant is a great touch and Im looking forward to coming back. Only improvements I would suggest are a better thermostat system for rooms, working bath room fan, and possibly better cable access.
First the lobby was very welcoming and the bar restaurant area was nice. I highly recommend their burgers. The hotel did a wonderful job of placing our family (3 rooms) near each other and accommodating both a late check out.and extensions to our reservation. The only problem was one of the breakfasts. We had breakfast twice in the hotel, the first time was fantastic for a party of 10, but the 2nd time, party of 6, could have been better, undercooked pancakes.
I travel extensively, about 95% of the year, some long term hotel stays and some short term stays. I stayed at this property while traveling through the area.I have stayed at this property several times do to its proximity to the interstate and access to restaurants and such. Despite being close to the interstate, the rooms have always been free of traffic noise which, for me, is a huge plus. My previous 2 or three visits here the rooms were nice, super clean, and very comfortable, however, this last stay my room needed dusting, smelled musty, as did the duvet and pillows, and two of the light switches were obviously dirty (ketchup maybe) and blinds had dirty finger/hand prints at the openings.Additionally, during the previous stays and the most recent, I did have to wait on the front desk staff to show up at the font desk, this last time took nearly 10 mins at checkout (I require a printed receipt for my bookkeeper),
I am on the road a lot for work and this has been the best hotel Ive been able to stay at. There is a great atmosphere in the lobby full of life, a great grill and bar, and a nice fire pit outside. The rooms are clean and I have a great view from my hotel room! The breakfast every morning is always available and the buffet allows me to eat quickly before I have to leave every morning.
Very nice new, clean hotel, great staff, Stayed in King Suite with couch. Small table w/small lamp not near the couch, no other lighting made it really dark. No place to sit a drink or put your feet up, very uncomfortable. No morning coffee bar in the lobby, first HI full service we have stayed at without one.
This hotel is new, very clean, great staff. They offer an indoor pool and hot tub, an exercise room, a restaurant (casual), an outdoor sitting and walking area, and a nice bar. We were very busy and didnt have time to enjoy the facilities, but it was very pretty and inviting. The beds were quite comfortable, and I appreciated the fact that they included some softer pillows. The only downside is that they dont offer a free breakfast like nearby hotels, and the rooms seemed a bit cramped. Otherwise, great stay!
I was part of a large group for a high school bowling tournament. I LOVED this hotel. The property is new and everything is so clean and fresh! The bed was heavenly and the pillows were too! My only negative point was the last several Holiday Inns I have been to have done away with the traditional bathtub in favor of a stand-up shower or walk-in shower room. I prefer that to the traditional bathtub. The breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of selections. Hotel had easy access to the highway and was very close to the venue we were visiting. Very quiet and had a great sleep! Need better cable selections for TV lovers! I highly recommend this property!
The hotel is quite new and the facilities are excellent. The staff is very friendly and checking in and out is a breeze. The in-house restaurant is great and there are convenient, quick options within walking distance. The rooms check all the boxes including very comfortable beds and great showers. The patio can be a bit noisy, if your room faces the rear of the property but didn’t keep me from great sleep. Highly recommended.
I Frequent and stay at many Holiday Inn Express hotels and must say this is the BEST overall I stay. The manager JEFF MARCHESHI is so awesome. His staff is TOP NOTCH very thoughtful and always treat me like Royalty! Feel very priviledged on extending great benefits on every stay including this one. From finding the best room for me drink specials pool priviledges breakfast treats. I want to mention staff that has made my stay phenomenal. among this list is Kalena and Rahanna for Breakfast. Elvia, Ozzie, Kayla, and Mia along with Marianne at front desk has been doing exceptional job. This hotel is highly recommended not only for exceptional beautiful hotel but has great staff and service as well.
The hotel is always super clean and I like the overall decor. They have done a great job creating cozy shared spaces in both the lobby and outside on the patio. (Weather permitting) it’s always nice to relax by the fire on the patio. Despite being very conveniently located near the highway; It feels much more secluded and farther away than it is.
NO STARS. The desk clerk Elvira was very rude and disrespectful to me and my family because as asked for a discount because we are in the middle of pandemic and we didnt have even a fresh roll of toliet paper it was half way used and literally hanging on the floor. Which is completely unacceptable with covid being such a big thing right now. They also over charged us twice. Then i went to take a bath and when i filled it up there was dirt , hair and who knows what else floating around in the bathtub . COMPLETELY unsanitary and unacceptable for the price we paid, especially after being over charged. They didnt want to cooperate at all with us and even try to make any changes to help us with our inconvenience. But the way elvira speaks to guests is unacceptable and very unprofessional. I will never give my buisness to them again. I will go else where ! If i could give them negative 10 stars i would just due to their horrible customer service. All we asked for was are room to be cleaned correctly and when we asked which shouldn’t be a problem she said we can cancel our reservation which we did because at the point she was just so rude we didnt want to be there what so ever. They also refused to let us speak to a manager or even give us corporates number. I will never attend this hotel again.
This new property is a great place to stay when traveling. The decor and colors are cheery and fresh. The room was clean and arranged perfectly. The room was quiet, I could not hear any outside or hallway noise. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check in and out. The lounge has a great draft beer selection. The hotel was close to the things we needed so it was really convenient. You will not be disappointed with a stay here!
Everything was wonderful except there were no blankets for the pullout sofa when my daughter got cold in the middle of the night and there were pistachio shells in the pullout sofaOtherwise everything was clean and comfortable. The restaurant and amenities were great!
I plan to visit other hotliday inns This year I pray they are like This one. This hotel is so nice relaxing well lit just a treat for me from my hubby on my birthday. I thank God he has great taste and knows just what I like 👍. The staff was great the restaurant inside was great those guys are great in there, there attitudes are happy faces smiling great talks and it was services with a smile. They did not know it was my birthday and treated me like it was more than that..I thank them for that. Excellent hotel for relaxing or business. Love it thanks to the staff hotel and restaurant. God bless you all. 😀👍we will be back
This property is probably only a year or so old. You can still smell fresh paint. My only beverage issue was our bartender was a little short (not in stature) with us. They were not overly busy so I was surprised. This year I overslept so I did not eat in the restaurant. But I stayed here last year for the same tournament and the food is good with good choices and service was good.My toiletries were fine except my lotion was 3/4 empty. Housekeeping obviously left one that had been used by someone else.
I like this hotel. Easy access to I-80 and I-55. Seems safe enough. Well lit environment. Been here several times. Only problem I ever had was convincing the bar maid to put the 2019 MLB World Series on at least one TV for me. She told me they did not get FOX network on those televisions that I would have to take my food to my room so I did. I guess the Chicago surrounding areas just dont like baseball?
I’d like to say this hotel is nice. The house keeping staff do a terrific job. However, The front desk staff was NOT friendly or accommodating in the least. I did not much care for the sarcastic tone and condescending responses from Mia at the front desk, and the other girl with tattoos was not the least bit friendly. I much prefer the Staybridge when available. Usually the staff at the IHG properties are friendly and work to make your experience a pleasant one. Not at this Holiday Inn.First, I will say the cleaning staff was terrific. The gym was a welcome sight and clean. The pool area was clean, but the water was dirty and the Jacuzzi was Filthy!!!During my stat I found Mia at the front desk to be sarcastic, unfriendly, and unwilling to accommodate in the least! The other front desk employee with the tattoos ( never a name badge on ), was not friendly in the least.Elvia was the only professional one who I found pleasant.I asked to speak to Mark the manager on several occasions and even left messages for him with the front desk and on his voice message system, he never called back or contacted me. What an A* hole! The pool water was dirty, especially the jacuzzi!! Filthy!!!Elvia and Faith were the only friendly faces I saw at the Holiday Inn during my stay!
This brand new hotel was very reasonably priced for its spacious building. The room was immaculate with USB chargers and led lighting to be up to the times. The bed is an amazing beauty rest and I have never slept better. I personally have never been in a hotel that has a classy burger/bar in it and it was absolutely amazing to have less than 50 yards from the elevator! Did I mention there is a fire pit out back and a pond.... overall very satisfied!
A stunning hotel with pleasant staff. The hotel room was very clean and neatly prepared for our arrival. The staff was wonderful at accommodating a request for an early arrival. I hope to visit again in the future. My favorite spot was the back patio with this beautiful firepit....such a great idea
In the area to visit relatives and golf. Room was quiet, clean. Beds were awesome with several pillow choices. A/C worked great. Enjoyed beers in Burger Therapy on site. Fire pit outback and outdoor seating overlooking pond were great. Husband used the exercise room twice and enjoyed all the equipment. Sorry to say we did not spend as much time at the hotel as we would have liked. Will definitely stay again. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
We were hit with a very strong derecho storm in Joliet where we live. Trees were downed and electricity was lost for 5 days. We stayed at home for awhile but since the recovery date for electricity was push further and further out we decided to go to a hotel. So we read the IHG website safety measures that had been put in place for CoVid19 and felt it would be safe to book a room. When we arrived the outside of the building looked nice, In entering the lobby the decor was very nice and clean. Two people were checking in WITHOUT MASKS. The agent had a mask on. But we started feeling uncomfortable as the info on the web stated all people had to wear masks in common places throughout the building. We stepped back several paces and hoped this was a single incident. Then a staff member came out from the back (I think he was the manager) WITHOUT A MASK and walked slowly around in the lobby and then towards to the restaurant. We were surprised that staff werent mandated to wear masks. We checked in deciding we would go to our room and not come out until checkout. We had to wait for awhile to take the elevator up because other guests with and without masks were in the elevator ....finally we were able to get to the floor where there were masked, cheerful, helpful housekeeping staff. Our room look clean, smelled good and the decor was nice. In fact it looked brand new. Once we settled in we found a few problems.1. The desk and the slide out table under it are very close to the bed so when the table was halfway out to put your computer on the chair was totally blocking the walkway. 2.The chair is not a desk chair and is not functional for working with a computer. It easily tips backwards.3. Trying to control the heat/cold did not work and/or moved very little difference in temp no matter what we did. (Perhaps there should be directions posted)4. At least once an hour on the wall between the bathroom and beds there was a loud sounds like a hammer hitting 12 times on the inside of the wall and then rolling down like a waterfall and stopped........this continued all through the day and night - so not much sleep comfort. We were going to stay two days but decided to cancel the 2nd day. We did ask why people could be in common areas without masks and were told the signs are up and we cant enforce the state mandates. If that is true there is no way I would recommend this hotel.
We stayed a year ago when just newly opened. Still like new. King suite had small love seat and TV separate from bedroom. Worked for the 2 of us. Bedroom was nice sized with a comfortable chair. Had a couple of options on pillows, which is great. Appreciated the walk-in shower versus shower in tub. Water volume a little light but expected in hotels. The outdoor area in rear is lovely. Peaceful and relaxing. We walked by the fire pit but didn’t stay as was late. Would be great for a group to huddle up after a day of sights. Also would’ve loved to curl up with a book on the cushioned chairs by the pond. All staff were friendly and willing to help. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel.
This is a nice, new facility near Joliet. The lighting and decor are very nice and the staff was really helpful. The room was clean and modern, with good amenities. I wanted more outlets near the desk but found some not too far away. I like how I could include breakfast when I reserved the room, and it was a great deal for anything on the breakfast menu. Service was a little thin, but was able to work this out, too. I didn’t use pool or fitness center
Normally, I dont stay in hotels near Joliet on layovers from the job, but I decided to take a chance on this hotel since it was going to be a blizzard in the area and I didnt feel like staying at the terminal. Im glad that I chose to stay here because the hotel is phenomenal compared to other hotels in the area. From the moment I walked into the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. My suite was very clean, spacious, and well kept. Despite being close to I-80, the hotel is very quiet. My favorite thing about the hotel itself is the hotel restaurant: Burger Theory! This is the first hotel restaurant Ive been to where practically everything on the menu is delicious and flavorful. I tried a variety of things from the flatbread to the burgers. All of it was great including deserts. This will be my hotel of choice for stays near Joliet.
The Holiday-Inn Joliet was such a wonderful surprise We were halfway on an 11 hour drive. The hotel is convenient to the interstate, is very well appointed, clean, and spacious. Every staff member greeted us and asked how they could make our stay more pleasant. We stopped into the lounge for a nightcap and found some great cocktails. Our wait staff was fun and engaged in very good conversation. The room was quite nice. Bed was comfortable and Bath was great. The restaurant, Burger Theory, has several breakfast options. Our only regret is that we had to leave the next day.
Best hotel Ive ever stayed at in Illinois. Clean and very beautiful hotel. The rooms are very nice beds are very comfortable slept like a baby.Bathrooms super clean. The front desk team are very nice and smile and greet everyone.Restaurant and outside seating is very nice .Overall a great experience and will always choose this hotel when Im in joliet for business.
This place is beautiful. Wonderful beds and pillows. Very clean. Breakfast and staff were disappointing. Lunch at bar was good, but staff was slow and couldn’t get TVs in bar to work where we were sitting. Breakfast had only 1 person working, and food was slow to be replenished and my grandson had 3 day expired milk. We had to get water and coffee in lobby after eating for over 10 minutes and no drinks. A lot of confusion on who had the Buffett free with their room and who had to pay $8.99 plus $2 for each small glass of OJ and no free refills. The Buffett only had 4 warm items. It might be better to make the small area a continental breakfast like other local hotels, make it free, and everyone helps and cleans up themselves. Especially if only 1 person is working. We also witnessed staff on 2 different occasions being rude and arguing with guests. But I’m sure it was because she was overwhelmed doing it all by herself.
Rooms were really nice. They staff was nice. The website said that the bar was open until 10 but they were already shutting down at 9. We could only get beer or wine. It wasnt a big deal, but it would have been able to have a drink before heading up to out room. The shower in our room was broken, but maintenance was very quick and resolved the issue quickly.
A wonderful hotel. Would definitely stay again. Convenient access to the interstate. The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding was luxurious. Please note: we didnt try the restaurant. The 24 hour hot beverage bar was not yet set up. Had hoped to get a cocoa before bed.
This hotel had great staff from the get go and throughout the whole stay until we left. It was super clean and had a great new look to it. Our rooms were very very nice and the bed was absolutely comfy along with the pillows. The room was very neat having a separate room that had another couch and tv.
This was my first experience at a holiday inn and having limited choices for places to stay while in Joliet I was thrilled with my choice. The hotel is brand new and in a very convenient location close to the highway and stores. We upgraded to a suite upon check-in and the room was extremely spacious. We had a separate living room, small bar/kitchen area, a huge bathroom and bedroom. The shower was huge and the double sinks gave plenty of counter space. The bed was comfortable and had tons of fluffy pillows. The outdoor firepit was a great way to relax at the end of the night. I would DEFINITELY stay here again.
Excellent service, Excellent staff. I checked in a couple hours after the nasty storm on August 10 2020 and they were able to get me a room at 5am after a 20 hour drive. I did not make use of any food or beverage services because I was only in the room for about 14 hours, But the inhouse Burger Theory menu looked amazing and had I had the time to take to enjoy the food I am sure I would be adding a 10/10 for food/beverage as well. I regret not having the time to enjoy it.
Pillows on couch were dirty, as was couch (not grime, but it looked like a blob of food-turned toward the back so housekeeping knew). Shower door didn’t stay shut most of the time-occasionally it did if you shut it just right. We eventually found that if we shut the inner door and then pushed it out a bit off the track kept it shut. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, I was told that I must have shut to door wrong! I didn’t know there was a wrong way to slide a door. We tried both, and both slowly opened up. Next time maintenance needs to get into the shower and try it from the inside!
Extremely clean room. Front desk was surprisingly RUDE! Small dark hair gal so so rude to me when asking a question regarding the rates charged, literally picked up an incoming call in the middle of my sentence completing ignoring me. At check out she for beyond rude, never thanking me for choosing your location (stayed 4 days) She failed to even acknowledge me EXCEPT POINT AT THE DIRTY FOB KEY BOX.10 inches of snow, the lot wasnt plowed out until 2 days later. Guest and employees stuck all over the parking lot. 3 semi stuck, one had to he towed out of the parking lot.NOT ONE EMPLOYEE RETURNED MY SMILE OR HELLO, Except the lady doing house cleaning on my wing on check out day. KUDOS to the house cleaning lady on floor 2 near room 204 on Monday 2/1/3/2021.
Over the course of my career I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and I have never stayed at such a welcoming place. This hotel has continuously shown me hospitality and kindness from the second I walked in the door. The staff has been exceptional by helping me with anything that I’ve needed throughout my stay. Both Christy and Raven have showed me how amazing, polite, and talented the employees are at the Holiday Inn Express at Rock Creek.
The hotel appears to be newly built, or recently renovated. The lobby, common areas, and rooms are nicely designed, and well laid out. One item to be improved upon is the location of the lighting switches in the bathroom. Some of the switches are located behind items that block visual sighting of the switches. In this case, I could not immediately locate the switch for the mirror backlighting, which was placed all the way forward near the mirror, and away from the door entry. When someone enters the bathroom, they expect the switch(es) to be near the door-edge, and not have to feel for the switches. Other than this minor issue, the room was nicely designed, and had good colors, and materials. The last item to note in this review is that the on-site restaurant has very poor hostess, and table, service. I entered the restaurant for a 6:30pm dinner (with reservation) and noticed the restaurant was nearly empty, and the hostess and some of the servers were having a social discussion. I politely waited for someone to walk over to the hostess station and seat me. However, while the hostess had made eye contact with me, she did not walk over and offer me a choice of table or booth. She simple looked away and continued her social discussion (I had overheard Facebook a few times as they spoke). Finally, I just walked over to her and asked for a booth. She said ok, and led me to a booth, and walked away; no offer of coffee, water, menu, nothing. A few minutes passed, and I was preparing to leave when a waitress arrived, and did the usual order-taking. Service during the meal was slow enough that I had to ask for Coke refills, and to have to ask for the check. Service for lunch the next day was a bit better, but we still had to search for a server to ask for refills, and to search again for the server to obtain my check. If I stay here again, it will be only for the room, and Ill choose to visit an off-site restaurant. The hotel is nice, but the restaurant is lacking.
Was here for business purposes. This hotel is a 4 star establishment on a budget. Seriously great hotel. I had a leaky sink in the room, but probably just an oversight. I would return here to stay again. Great room for the money. Very clean and friendly desk clerk. I was impressed.
Our overall stay was pleasant; the outside exterior decor at sunset was terrific, especially around the fireplace!!! The patio covering by the lake was beautiful!!! Due to COVID19, no breakfast service was offered; however, as a courtesy to your guest. The hotel should have provided a breakfast bag or box with fruit, juice box, a packaged microwavable breakfast sandwich, or muffin.
The hotel is new and clean, nicely decorated with a very nice outdoor area out back. Beds were somewhat hard though. And the food at the restaurant was overpriced with small portions. Breakfast was not included either. Would have rated all 5s if the food/restaurant situation was better.
Refrigerator had someones elses food still in it. Bedding and curtains had brown smudges on them. Did not feel the room was thoroughly cleaned. Went downstairs to explain situation to front desk and all they did was went to the basement and grabbed a change of bedding and handed it to me to change out the bedding. After installing new bedding, we noticed the duvet was missing. We went back downstairs to the front desk and they offered to move us to a new room. We moved and the bedding in the new room had spots of stains on it. Overall, not a good experience.
Very clean and comfortable room—felt safe in that regard. But when we arrived to an empty lobby, the front desk receptionist blatantly ignored us for several minutes. We stood in silence as we waited for her to acknowledge us, and when she did she was very curt and rude. We were both wearing masks, but she was wearing hers down around her neck and didn’t pull it up to interact with us. Not the most reassuring sight.
I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed 4 nights in a suite recently. Very clean and modern. Prices were very reasonable. Suite has separate ac for bedroom and living room.Bathroom was large and very clean. Bed was comfortable.Location is convenient to the interstate, but not so close that you can here it. Had to purchase breakfast tickets, which is becoming more common. However, the breakfast package allowed for ordering from the menu or the buffet. Staff was friendly. Bar and restaurant in the lobby, including a fire pit on the patio.Do not hesitate to stay here. I would rate it on if the best in the area for the price. Convenient to both casinos and interstate 80 and 55.
We stayed here one night while traveling across the state. The hotel is right off the highway and easy to find. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Friendly staff.. They have a Burger Theory restaurant and bar located in the hotel. We had dinner but not breakfast. Great burgers. We had a great nights sleep and enjoyed our stay.
Rooms were nice. Bed were very comfortable. Wedding reception staff was very good. Only downfall is the restaurant I would recommend eating else where unless you want a very limited overpriced breakfast buffet and hamburgers for your other meals. Wait staff in restaurant was good. Bartenders were greats.
My wife and I arrived at 2 AM. Check in was easy, as my reservation and rewards membership were found at the desk. The bed was comfortable. The front desk allowed late check out, so my wife was able to lounge around the room while I was working. We had a nice, tasty lunch prior to departing at 2:30 PM the same day. The entire experience was pleasant.
Hotel is gorgeous! Food was ok at Burger Theory, the service was bad. We had a group on 30, gave the restaurant 2 weeks notice that we would be there. The waitstaff has no idea how to handle a large party and only had 3 people working, food was cold and done were missing food after 1 hour of waiting. Mind you the restaurant was empty besides us. The beds and pillows were terrible but the rest of the hotel was beautiful very clean and quiet
We care whether hotels we stay at are good environmental citizens. This hotel can do better:-- The air conditioning in the lobby was turned up so high that we needed sweaters. -- There was a pre-supplied card next to the bed, asking guests to put the card on the bed if they dont need the bedsheets changed and replaced with newly cleaned ones after only one night. We put the card on our bed, and returned that evening to a bed that hadnt been made at all. -- Following the directions on another pre-supplied card in the bathroom, we hung up our used towels, indicating that we didnt need them replaced with new ones after only one use. They were replaced anyway. Our kids and grandkids are depending on all of us to act responsibly. You can do better than this!
👎🏻 I posted a honest review 5 days ago.. I can see its been removed... The place is under new Management... its not the same.. & pool is not open.. Middle Eastern or Indian from India good luck.. The Cleanliness of the Hotel has gone down hill. I AM JUST BEING HONEST.. I ALSO POSTED PICTURES & THEY TOO HAVE BEEEN REMOVED!!!
Not only does this property have a pool and well working hot-tub/whirlpool, but it also has a sauna. I dont know the last time Ive seen a sauna in a hotel, but it was really nice! The outside property is really nice as well. The beds are very comfortable and this is just a great place to relax! The only things that was average was the breakfast that we purchased from the restaurant on site. It actually wasnt very good, but I understand the lunch and diner are much better.
Couldnt sleep very well because my bed felt tilted slightly with the head down but we came for the pool. It is the best in town. Free breakfast would have made me feel a little better about ther price but it was an extra charge so I brought food with and stocked the mini fridge. Overall this place is clean and is on the better side of town so no riffraff. Had a great time celebrating new years
The first room we were in smelled terribly of smoke, but they quickly changed us out unfortunately the room wasnt completely ready for guest. When I contacted the front desk, I was told they would send someone - they never did. This morning, after breakfast, I stood at the front desk to ask for a later check out - the agent didnt acknowledge me and took two different calls on SPEAKER. Realizing the only way I might be able to get a later check out is if I called from my room.
Room was spotless. The set up for the suite with the door to the bedroom was great. We were able to invite people to visit while keeping our bedroom private. The gathering areas in the lobby and outside are very welcoming. Friendly bar with great food. We had so much fun at this location and the staff was very professional and friendly. Thank you!
During my stay someone attempted to break into my car. i reached out to front desk. Left detailed e mail as to the times and locations i was parked. no one got back to me about anything.things happen. i travel 300 days a year. not looking for money or even insurance claim on damages... it is just a car.. but there is probably a security problem that they are not looking into. i stay at this property probably 80 nights a year or more. during my says i have learned not to expect much.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and i enjoy it every time. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and cozy. My fiance and i visit every other weekend, so we have become familar with some of the staff. The staff is very accomodating when we have had specific requests with rooms. Alison at the front desk is very helpful and she does a wonderful job. The manager is doing an awesome job at the hotel.
The perfect place after a busy, long day at work! Luxurious bedding and pillows, quiet, well insulated, free from noise room! Beautiful outdoor fire pit and comfortable patio furniture! Restaurant on premises with outdoor dining! Frig, microwave and coffee maker! All and more of the luxuries to have for the perfect stay, home away from home!
Rooms was clean and well updated. Friendly staff. As far as a room and stay was great.Breakfast, first off was not free and was the WORST BREAKFAST IVE HAD AT A HOTEL. All meat was cold, eggs cold, potato, cold.....and still had to wait for all the options to show up. The breakfast area was not busy so?Do your self a favor eat somewhere else.
Slipped and fell in lot due to lack of icing and staff was horrible showed little concern my phone got completely destroyed breaking my fall and still no follow up on my incident report or return of my deposit overall not pleased what so ever. You would think a placr like this would care more about their guest overall experience but for what i paid you would think i was at a low budget motel with the help and treatment i recieved.
Because of covid related restrictions, the stay was just average, food was way over priced. Really wanted to sit in the hot tub and loosen up, but because of covid, the hot tub was closed. The beds were the best part, very comfortable, however you could smell the previous guest on the sheets and pillow cases.
Since I booked through a third party for a very reasonable price I wasn’t expecting the quality and value we received with this hotel stay! My husband and I were so happy with the accommodations. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable...especially the bedding. We have already decided that our next stay in the area, we will be choosing Holiday inn.
Our room very clean. Staff is very nice . Laundry room could be a lil cleaner. Beds are comfortable. Burger theory is to pricey. 18% gratuity and $3.50 to deliver to your room? Ya no thank you. This is Joliet NOT downtown chicago. Ill order out. Food is in the hotel so charging that is ridiculous. And your NOT GIVEN BREAKFEST! For that reason staying is questionable.
The entire stay, from the helpful, friendly, and informative staff at check-in, to the newness and cleanliness of the guest rooms and entire facility was a true joy.I highly recommend this place, which featured modern workout facilities, a nice indoor pool, a friendly outdoor patio gathering space, and a solid restaurant with a craft Burger theme. We also enjoyed a breakfast there, and were surprised to learn that kids eat free!Despite what I read in earlier reviews, our room did include a Keurig machine, as well as a mini-fridge and microwave. We will be back.
Nice stay, but I was for the first time anywhere to provide papers for my service dog. I usually have them, but realized that I had forgotten them after we left the house. I figured since no one asks to see them we wouldnt have to turn back to get them.I was disappointed that I had to provide them.
I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was so friendly at the desk except the guy on the night shift. I dont know what his problem was. But i guess he thought he owed the place. He wasnt very friendly, but thats his problem youre staff are very nice will b back everything so clean and welcoming.
Beautiful, clean and staff was very friendly. The pool is very n9ce. Theres a sauna and hot tub too. The fitness room is the best Ive seen anywhere. All Life Fitness equipment. Weights, leg press, treadmills etc. They have bonfires at night too. Overall....nice property. Will be back.
This is always our go to hotel when traveling to Joliet. It is new, extremely clean and very friendly and professional staff. The bathroom has ample amount of thick towels. The guest rooms have plenty of outlets for digital tools. We did not eat at the restaurant this visit, but have in the past and it is also very good.
Entering the building the first impression was beautiful. Staff was great and easy to work with. Room was beautiful and comfortable except the tub was extremely slippery with all guests slipping and almost falling. Downside was there were a lot of children there with lack of supervision especially in the pool area. The main reason for us picking this hotel was the pool and spa tub which the young children took over with very little adult supervision which caused loud yelling, kids jumping in everywhere splashing us also the use of inflatables and several children under 10 taking over the spa tub. As for the restaurant we ordered the cajan chicken pasta the chicken was great the pasta undercooked. Ordered several drinks priced high with all juice no alcohol. Myself I dont drink and ordered 2 cranberry vodkas with grey goose and didnt feel the alcohol at all. Considering I dont drink i should have felt something right?
I was blown away by this hotel upon my arrival at the hotel. I had to live here for 1 month for business and this was like being home. It made the month a lot easier! Even when I would walk in at 3am from work I was greeted with a smile and a good morning. No weird smells, no paper thin walls, and no annoying maids disregarding the do no disturb sign. The modern look and professional staff make this a 5 star hotel.
The only issue was the one day the breakfast person was spending time flirting with a gentleman guest/boyfriend rather than tending to the customers. Almost went tot he front desk about this issue, was pretty blatant and we needed to eat and get going but took much longer to get through breakfast than it should have for this reason.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The fitness center has up to date equipment and has plenty of room to work out. Only negative of the hotel: No printer in the business center. So if youre there for business, plan on that. The hotel staff was very friendly and the Burger Theory restaurant that was connected had a very good burger and onion rings.

2022-05-29When my husband booked this hotel I was so upset. I said I don’t stay in Inns or 3 star hotels. We drove from Ft. Washington, MD. I was so on edge because I was tired and didn’t know if the hotel was up to my standards. When we arrived I was so surprised. I told my husband I stand corrected you did a great job picking this hotel. The staff (Kim) was very nice and welcoming. It was good having a friendly, welcoming staff member after a long drive. The hotel was perfect, very clean, pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, a wedding reception area. The Resturant/bar had good food and friendly staff.

2021-11-29This hotel is very nice and clean. The beds are comfortable and the staff members are helpful. We liked the location and felt safe there--even in the parking lot. Our room was spotless, which is super important to me in the midst of this COVID pandemic. There are plenty of eating and shopping options nearby. Hotel has a restaurant and pool, both of which were open, but we didnt have time to try them out. Hotel offers easy access to highways and shopping. We would gladly stay here again.

2022-05-31Room was nice. Quiet, clean, good air conditioning, bed comfy with fitted sheets. Took one star off for no free breakfast, and room not cleaned or resupplied during 2 night stay.Ate dinner at restaurant on site; in spite of hamburgers being their specialty ours were missing items listed on menu, thereby causing a delay and cold food. (Not hotels fault I know.)

2022-03-22I stay here on business. Not because I want to... but because ...... well, hey, where else are you going to stay? This hotel is new... and its cheap as hell. The lobby, the room fixtures and furnishings are garbage. Come back and stay in this hotel in 5 years and it is going to be so trashed you wont believe it.When I stay here (which is always mid week) the place is typically occupied mostly by working men who seem to in town doing work for the railroad or similar type of work. You can spot them in the summer congregating around the fire pit in the back... smoking and drinking.PROS* Surprisingly good food at the restaurant downstairs.* Possibly one of (and it hurts to say this) the better or best hotels in Joliet* Close to the job site.* Easy to get to and leave.* Pleasant staffCONS* The laundry is sort of inconvenient. It can be a bit of a march coming from your room and back to check on your stuff.* Everything is cheap here.* Yoga room is a joke.Dont get me wrong.... I dont mind this place. I stay here a lot.

2022-04-26Great experience, for pit outside was very nice and definitely added to stay. Would not recommend breakfast, too expensive. Low options and poor quality. Room was clean but the king suite was smaller than anticipated. Overall staff was nice and accomidating.

2022-05-28Nice place in the location is okay. Expected Holiday inn breakfast though. This location doesnt have it. You can pay $14 and eat at the restaurant for breakfast. Kind of disappointing. Other than that nice place to stay and the people are friendly.

2022-04-26We were greeted by the most pleasant and professional representative I’ve come across in a long time. She was through, efficient and genuinely concerned with our satisfaction. She was a great “initial contact” employee and she set the tone for an enjoyment visit.

2022-05-07$50 refundable incident fee deposit was off putting. The check in clerk was robotically polite. The room was fine the bathroom was too. The coffee machine didnt make coffee though. It just hummed and then turned off. The location is fine with food being close.
