I checked in with a very nice greeting. Upon arriving at my room, the tv wasnt working and also couldnt log into my computer. Also had a very loud room next door. Called the desk about the tv and computer, someone came up and tried to get them working but couldnt, gave me a number to call for IT. The room got louder next door and after speaking to the Dad, he informed me they might or might not get quiet by bedtime. So I packed up my computer and headed down to the front desk asking for another room. He didnt give me a hassle and quickly assigned another room, on the same floor. Entered the room, same situation, tv and computer wouldnt work......someone came up, the sensor fell off the tv that controls the remote so that was fixed, but still had to call IT to be able to log into my laptop. Headed down to the rest. and purchased a delicious bbq pork sandwich, huge, and a wonderful vodka and cranberry and headed back up for the Super Bowl. Comfy clean room. The obnoxious room at the other end of the hallway still allowed their kids to run screaming in the hall at 10:45pm but I didnt feel like getting punched, so let it go, hoping maybe another guest would call.
This hotel was not my first choice. Unfortunately, all the less expensive hotels in the immediate vicinity did not have a vacancy that fit my needs. This hotel was quite a bit more expensive than those other ones. The accommodations were okay--nothing spectacular, but certainly adequate and clean. However, it would have been nice to have one more washcloth and hand towel in the bathroom. The staff was very accommodating. However, I was astounded to learn that this--the most expensive hotel in this particular area--did not offer a free breakfast! I usually stay at hotels costing around half as much, and they ALL offer free breakfasts. We decided to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant; they had a much better menu and much better prices.
Friendly staff. Decent rooms. There were a couple of small quirks to my room. The cabinet for the mini fridge didnt shut all the way and creaked really loud, not a big deal though. However, the shower head was broken which was a bit of a pain. Other than that, everything was decent.
The carpet in my room was nasty and dirty. Bed sheets had a couple of stains on them. Service was great . Nice and helpful.Overall hotel was clean with a great atmosphere. Loved the pool hours. Wish the sauna was working. Had a good experience overall and would definitely come back and recommend to others.
Positive: The restaurant in the hotel. Nothing else. Extra from below - I asked the front desk for an extra blanket and all they could find was a sheet so no blanket for the pull out in our suite. Negative: The hotel room was recently smoked in for a long time. The room smelled terrible and the solution was to spray frebreeze. When I asked to switch rooms they didnΓΒΏt have a similar room available. The room wasnΓΒΏt cleaned between nights. Dirty rooms
My family stayed here for a wedding. We reserved the presidential suite. The rooms are in need of a major renovation, I felt like I was in the 80βs decade. Walls were extremely dirty with water stains. Carpet stained and should be replaced. Rooms could have been cleaner. Not impressed at all. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. I will not recommend.
Came in for a get-together, check-in was very pleasant however the room and the hotel for that matter has seen better days. IHG you need to move this location up on your renovations calendar, it is in some serious need of TLC and a good cleaning. I know every hotel has bugs, but to find one on you while sleeping. Not cool.I understand the whole Covid protocol on housekeeping and I realize that staffing is a problem pretty much everywhere, but this location has been neglected for some time. There is no reason to stay here, especially when there are other newer hotels right next store. I did not eat at the hotel, since breakfast was not included so I cant comment on that.On a positive note, the showers were hot and the water pressure was great.
I realized a few days before my visit that I booked one day too few. IHG staff was responsive and capable on the phone and my stay was very smoothly extended. Check-in was quick. In the room, I had everything I needed. Finding a mini-fridge was a bonus - I was there 4 days and was pleased to keep leftovers from my meals. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed little conversations here and there and that (a few times) I was addressed by name when coming and going.
Stayed 1 night while on the road with my family. The hotel is standard Holiday Inn...met expectations. Check in was quick and the girl was friendly and informative. I called to ask for some additional towels and the person brought them in right away.I do like that some holidays inns have restaurant on site in case we are too tired to go out, but this one surprised me that it was nothing appealing on the menu...same thing with breakfast(The room was clean, with comfy beds!If you ever forget anything the front desk has a lot of small items that you can buy)
Justin and Faye are AMAZING! I was the MOH at an out of town (for me) wedding last weekend and had a TON of stuff to do. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating! I would have been much more stressed if it wasnt for their help.5 stars is definitely for the people. The hotel itself needs some TLC. Initially the presidential suite was great! Large space plenty of room for me to get all the stuff and things done and host the after party after the wedding. However when you look closer you can see how much wear and tear the room has taken over the years. It was decently priced and the staff was, again, incredible. If you are looking for a modern updated hotel this isnt it. But, if youre looking for a nice place to stay, with nice people that are there to help you out when you need it, and you ARE NOT the type of person that complains about the small stuff book it and enjoy!
Great room/marginal hotelThe title speaks for itself. The location is fairly decent if you need to be in this town. The room is great but the services are marginal at best. The young lady at the front desk was nice but the manager was distant and inflexible. Donβt expect services just a decent room.
This hotel is not one I would stay at again. It smells of stale cigarette smoke and is very dirty. Only thing that was good was the breakfast. food and service were good. they did not clean or come in room the entire 3 nights / days I was there. no coffee refilled no garbage emptied. Just overall bad experience. Have to walk by all the smokers outside to get into front door.
Our room was very nice. The decor was beautiful and the beds were soft. It was nice to have a bathtub. The bathroom did have a couple issues. There was hair on the floor, the brightest light in there went out and we ran out of toilet paper in the middle of the night. There wasnt an extra roll left in the room. We didnt complain because those werent huge issues. Over all it was a nice stay. Thanks again Holiday Inn.
We love this hotel! This time was a bit of a disappointment since we had to move rooms as ours wasnβt very clean. There was a used dirty towel on the blow dryer. The bed although made looked like it had mud on it. The staff was very quick to move us and informed me we couldnβt use the pool since someone vomited in it. That was our entire plan with the kids that night. We did understand that it was not the fault of the hotel but still very disappointed we were stuck in the room. We paid extra money for two extra people ( a child and my mom) yet we only had 4 pillows (flat) and two towels. Again the staff was right on it! We stay here everytime we come to town so hopefully next time will be a better experience!
I had a better stay at the Super 8 in Indiana. The staff and rooms are less than accommodating. I asked the front staff for a plastic fork or spoon and I was told that I could only get one if I ordered to go from their restaurant which isnβt even open till 5pm. Not to mention they sell overpriced frozen microwaveable dinners and bowls of cereal in their βvending machines.β Just no way to eat them. No USB ports on any of these outdated lamps made charging accessories difficult. 10/10 would not recommend.
Great location. This hotel is about 28 years old and it is showing its age. Air Conditioning is loud, noisy and had a slight odor as if filter had not been changed in awhile. Sink faucet had cold on left and hot on right; backwards for standard plumbing codes. Carpet had stains, curtains not hung properly or missed the hooks and even though a suite with two windows the curtains didnt cover to the wall on sides and let in lots of front lighting of hotel. It used to be that hotel websites posted year built and refurbished but no longer do this. This information would be nice to have so I could bypass knowing this information.
I visited this location because it was close to a wedding that I was in. Big mistake. I should have stayed down the street. The covers were stained, the bathroom tub was filthy and the stopper was broken and there were holes in the walls. I reported the issue with the tub and was told that it would not be fixed until AFTER I checked out. I still had another day to stay there and 3 people had to shower. Then between 2 and 3 am the toilet overflowed and we had to leave and drive 45 mins back home because they didnβt have any other rooms to accommodate us. The hotel and the stay was a disaster and the staff was not very responsive. I was told that the manager (Jeff) was busy and would issue my refund later. Iβm still waiting!
Gentleman, that worked the second shift manager, very helpful. Went out of his way to help and make me feel at home during my stay. Employees like him makes an impression on me and makes me want to return as a guest. If every business had an employee that works as hard and cares for people the way that he does, the world would be a better place. I do not recall his name but I feel like I made a friend. Thank you.
I unfortunately stayed here for a conference. This hotel needs a lot of maintenance and renovation - everything was old, falling apart, and dirty. Our first room had a giant puddle on the carpet, and smelled of mildew. They moved us to a less disgusting room. Bathroom faucet was loose, the shower was either scalding or cold, the bed sagged in the middle, there were noisy fights and parties between 12-2 am that were not broken up by staff, fridge buzzed loudly and barely cooled , keurig was too filthy inside to use. The food at their restaurant was overpriced and gross - I got $11 chilaquiles for breakfast which was just greasy tortilla chips from a bag, microwaved with cheddar cheese and about a teaspoon ofpico de gallo on top. Just awful all around.
Stayed the weekend for my Granddaughters birthday. Was not pleased with the bathroom shower handle (need muscles to operate), phone didnt work, had to go to the 1st floor for ice (the one on our floor was out of order), couldnt find any luggage carts, no bags in the garbage cans or ice bucket.Definitely not worth the money I spent!
Uncomfortable hotel. Only 2 of the staff acted like they cared about the clientele. They were not forthcoming with information about my stay and how cleaning was handled. In the past at other hotels the staff says thank you for being a platinum member. Not here. At other ihg hotels bonus points or a snack are offered. No thank you and no other courtesies were mentioned. At check in I felt like I was interrupting a much more important conversation.
I would not stay at this hotel again, but it was one of cheapest in the area. The carpet was stained and sticky in areas, window treatments obviously in need of replacement. It is right off the highway so expect rooms to be loud.Staff was all courteous, kind, and professional.
Dirty room. Carpet filthy with visible stains. Only can imagine what I couldnt see. Dirty window. Bathroom ok but not cleaned as it should of been. 45 minute power outage. No compensation. Asked for water at checkout and was told $3 despite my I inconvenience while taking a shower in the dark!
Waited over 30 minutes after 7pm for someone to come to desk to check us in. Called hotel multiple times and no answer to try to get someone to come to desk. Ice machines not working due to recent power outage. The room was very spacious and cozy. Hotel is very outdated needs improvement. Overall would stay again.
Our room needs re-carpeting. Small for a suite. Awkward passage along foot of bed. The DirecTV box doesnt allow alternate USB/HDMI inputs. No freezer.Whole place looks ready for an overhaul. Uninviting breakfast and bar area. But top marks for desk service and wait staff.
Should not be 3-star rated by any stretch. Hallways smell moldy. The carpets are visibly worn out and dirty. Obvious signs of peeling and deterioration on the walls in the bathroom. Visible accumulation of what appears to be dust along the baseboard in the hallways and room. TV screen is the same size as my computer monitor at work.Staff is nice and bed is comfortable so I guess that deserves a star or maybe 2. Nothing more.
This place is dirty and tight! Carpet in the room had multiple stains. I itched all night. If its up to me, Ill never patronize them again. The power went out for about 45 minutes. They did nothing to compensate the guests. At checkout I asked for a water since the room didnt have any. They said $3! What hotel doesnt provide a couple bottles of water in the room? Especially when THEIR power went out! This place is trash! Dont go there!
I dont have to travel a lot in my line of work, so I dont have a lot of other experience to base my ratings / reviews on. That being said, I purposely chose the Holiday Inn of Bolingbrook, IL because I had stayed at other hotels in the area with less satisfaction. The staff at the hotel are very good at their jobs, very friendly and helpful. They come across as they want to be there, and thats why theyre great to work with and be around. The costs and amenities are well-balanced. The hotel is simple, clean and easy to relax in. Overall, the hotel experience has been great, and I recommend it to anyone.
Had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and greeted me with a friendly smile when I arrived. I was able to relax in peace and had a wonderful nights rest. It was nice to see hand sanitizer in the lobby an in the hallway when u got off the elevator. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
We had a negative experience at this hotel. It is definitely and old hotel with awful plumbing. When we first arrived our sink wouldnβt drain, then we moved rooms and our tub didnβt drain and all throughout the night the water dripped from the shower spout. The air conditioner was loud and couldnβt hold a good steady temperature. After our first night, we ran out of the hotel quickly to get to our day and when we returned and wanted to check out, they said it was past 3pm and couldnβt help us. We ended up finding another hotel and paying double on one night. donβt book on Hotels.com or another source, as the hotel cannot refund you. You have to be on hold for a long time with these outside companies with poor customer service. Frustrated.
Room was comfortable but there were water pressure issues in the shower. We later found out the handle was not working correctly. One of the elevators had air in the hydraulics and when we reached the top floor there was a very unsettling shaking and sound. No problem, use the other elevator right? Nope, it was shut down later in the evening. The biggest problem was we were part of a swinger group event utilizing 75% of the hotel. You would think they would put us all on the same 2 or 3 floors to avoid us disturbing others but we were spread out amongst five floors and all the other guests. Overall it was a nice stay and I would go back.
Rooms very clean but needing updated, dinner was the most disappointing part of my stay. Went for the Rib eye steak dinner and steak had no season to it, very plain and tasteless. Also disappointed there was no options for dessert at the end of my meal. But the bartender was awesome with very enthusiastic.
The staff here is great: the front desk people (Justin and Megan) are helpful and the restaurant servers (Junior and Bertha) are courteous. The rooms are satisfactorily clean (I stayed in two separate rooms over the course of eleven nights). I have two primary complaints:1. Cigarette smoke. During our stay (which was admittedly longer than average), there were at least two instances of people smoking in their rooms. I realize that the hotel cant control what people do. Still, it makes entire floors smell (unfortunately, both instances occurred on floors on which we stayed) and really sours the experience. I wish there was some way that hotels could make it extremely likely that perpetrators could get caught and extremely undesirable for them to do so. I dont know if the $250 cleaning fee is the legal limit, but I would love if the punishment was made stiffer (because apparently, it doesnt work). Or, the staff need to emphasize this more on check-in.2. Loud AC/heater units. The rooms are equipped with window units to provide cooling/heating. Im not sure how old the units are, but the unit in our first room was extremely loud. It cost us several hours of sleep over several nights. We finally complained and got moved to a different room. The AC/heater unit in the second room was not nearly as loud, but still not very quiet.Overall, my recommendation of this hotel to a friend is a toss-up. If they could implement better punishment and cleanup of smoking and maintenance their AC units, Id be highly in favor.
Facilities are not new, but well-maintained and very clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Front desk staff during our actual stay were not overly personable or friendly, but competent. However, I had called with questions prior to our actual stay, and the person I had spoken to over the phone was extremely helpful and friendly. Too bad she wasnβt working the days we were there. The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced, and the server there was delightful and efficient. Overall, a clean and comfortable place to stay.
Criminally overpriced. They need to remodel ASAP. The carpets and walls were heavily stained and the housekeeping does a horrible job of cleaning. I had to leave my original room, because there was hair everywhere, and when I went to a second room, there was hair, as well.
Pretty much everything was nice. The pool was open untill 11PM which was really nice. Most pools are only open till 9PM if they are even open at all during the pandemic. Pool time was our main attraction during our stay. The only complaint I have is that the Televisions are not smart. In order to watch Netflix we had to watch from our iPad. I REALLY wish they had smart TVβs.
Only one complaint: neighboring room had a smoke-fest one night and the smell of weed came into the room. Went to call the desk and the room phone didnβt work. (Room 209). Tried to call the desk from my phone using the number on the webpage and it didnβt go through. It kicked it me out of my phone page. Otherwise, a pleasant stay. Only issue in the two weeks I spent there.
The βproblemβ noted in the survey was out of your staffs control and did not effect my opinion on this property, the place and staff are fantastic to deal with and I will continue to deal with them. The power went out, and as a hotel employee I know how stressful those times can be, and the staff handled it as best they could, I didnβt hear any complaints. Power was back on within an hour, so it wasnβt too terrible
We arrived late at night but still got great service! The room was very nice with a comfy bed and good lighting. The breakfast was awesome! Sometimes its nice to have a sit down breakfast instead of a buffet style. All the staff we talked to were very nice and polite. Over all it was a great stay with an even better price!
Restaurant staff were especially friendly and helpful. Food was good. Initially, there was no iron in the room and the TV in the bedroom was not working properly. Hotel staff were friendly and quick to respond to issues with iron and TV in the room. Bed was comfortable, but the bedroom got too cold at night if the door to the living area was closed because there is only one thermostat for the suite and it is in the living area. The staff did a good job dealing with COVID-19 issues.
I have used this hotel many times. This trip we actually used it although it was not the closest to our work. The staff is always helpful and easy to work with. Covid has presented problems with traveling the last couple of years. They seemed to have figured it out.
Woke up Sunday morning , pulled back bed sheets and we where suprised to find dried blood all over are bed sheets.Brought to managers attention , came up to take pictures of sheets and said he would comp one night stay, told him we slept in room two nights,he had no response to my statement all he said the bed sheets should never have been put on bed.So it was pretty disgusting and unhealthy to think someone would put that on a bed.
I have to come up for training at the FCA training center in Bolingbrook. I stayed at the Country Inn last visit but was looking for a hot breakfast at the hotel. This hotel had the dining room shut down due to COVID but take out/room service was available. I had the hot breakfast with an omelet and was surprised how tasty it was and the portion was generous. The King Suite room as HUGE! I loved having the space to wander around and not feel cramped. The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and management were very courteous and helpful. I plan to recommend to my manager that all of our staff training stays be at this hotel.
The hotel was fine, but for being recently remodeled, it was in disrepair. Our room had wall paper peeling and the base board was falling off and crumbling. One of the beds had the frame sticking way out, which we could have tripped over. There were electrical outlets everywhere...like too many. The flip switch for the heater/air was near the floor? The website doesnt say anything about the sleeper sofa sleeping one person instead of two. Be mindful of that. And they put a wet nap next to the remote. I know they just want to be sanitary, but the implications are just gross. The beds were comfy, the service was nice. Overall it was an okay stay for the price. Also, you need to get a continental breakfast instead of making people pay an astronomical price for breakfast. And they dont open until 7 on the weekends. That doesnt help the early risers.
I dont believe your company cares about the comfort or cleainess of your hotels. and your staff is just rude. I wont waste any more time complaining about the conditions or people that exist in your hotels. I cant believe many other guest havent had similar experiences.
This property is well put together and decent. The restaurant/bar was exquisite and food was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable when asked about the surrounding area. The room was clean for the most part. The floor needed vacuuming, but not too bad. The only negative was the black mold growing in the shower. I should have brought it up to the hotel staff, so thats my error. Other than that everything was fantastic.
Great experience with the staff here and they are very accommodating. My room was your typical hotel room, and had a decent view of all the traffic outside. The menu was a little pricey but the food was pretty good, with being in a hotel. I stayed a week and enjoyed some of the local craft beers there and tried different food every night.Overall, this hotel is reasonably priced, the staff was very nice, and the food and drink were well above average. Would stay here again.
Holiday Inn and Suites were so accommodating! They said welcome, bride! as I walked into the hotel to check-in (process of elimination for who still needed to check in that night). I thought that was so cute and they continued to be so friendly! Great staff and the room was very clean! Thank you!
My boyfriend and I were really happy with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved that there were 2 hard pillows and 2 soft ones, we thought that was a really nice touch. The bathroom was big and clean, no problems there. Also, the staff was very attentive and kind. The restaurant also had really good food and coffee! We will definitely be staying there again!
Seemed like a pretty new property. Everything in room and hallways was nice and did not appear dated to me. Breakfast was included in the rate and was very good. Didnβt have time to use exercise room or pool, but looked in and they also was impressed with cleanliness. All staff I encountered were professions friendly.Only negative was that I left a l charging cable. Alex back to see about getting it mailed to me but did not receive a call from manager f housekeeping after I left a message
Jeff was a great individual to deal with, was bummed that on Sunday morning we couldnβt swim with my children. They have from 11pm to 6pm to clean it. When I asked when it would be open I got the response of Iβm not sure. I was standing there with two children all dressed and ready to go. That is the only thing I was disappointed in about our entire stay. Room 228 bathroom door was cracked from replacing the handle. So that could be addressed. The shower curtain didnβt seem to hold the water in the tub during the shower well. But those are minor things compared to where we checked in first at a different hotel that night.
This past visit was my 2nd at this location. I travel a bunch for my job and it is very nice to find a hotel that is clean, accommodating and has a professional staff. Chicago land will never be a vacation destination for me, but the folks here are truly nice and helpful. Easy to get to is also a huge bonus.
1st day I expected the room to be cleaned and bed made. This was not done.also did not know that apparently the towels had to be put outside the door to get clean towels.Had to go to the front desk to get clean ones. Also, used to getting at least complimentary breakfast as most hotels have including a lot of Holiday Inns.
The front desk staff is excellent, which is one of my key criteria when reviewing a hotel. Location was great, and the staff was very accomodating. At some point the hotel will need a refresh, and the housekeeping could have been better in common areas such as the hallways (a glass was near my door the 2 days I was there, and it wasnt mine). However, despite this, the front desk staff more than makes up for any shortcomings of this hotel. Would definitely stay there again!
I can only recommend this hotel! Iβm always sleeping well here, the rooms are clean and continuously maintained by the personnel. At the main entry they always welcome me with a warm hello. Iβve been here 3 times in the past 6 months but they already know me by face and prepare the rooms accordingly!
This hotel upon check in looked as though it would be a nice stay. After I checked in found old food in refrigerator, garbage behind bed and under a/c unit. An unopened beer bottle under the chair that my children found. Feces smeared on the back of the toilet seat. The products were not replenished. Didnβt even have extra toilet paper. The pool although open you could see the grime on the walls as water shifted. Overall, hotel was kind of gross.
Checking in was easy, just wish there were luggage carts available. The front desk staff did enter the wrong date on my room keys which I only discovered the next day when I had my hands full and I was trying to enter my room. I went downstairs and had another key made but it also didnt work. Third time was a charm. A little frustrating but it got worked out. There were teams of hockey boys staying at the hotel and the noise wasnt terrible. Not sure if it was because their coaches kept them quiet or the rooms are decently sound proof. The room was modern, in good condition and the wifi was good. I found dried toothpaste and a brown spot on the towels hanging. That really put me off. I checked the sheets and any towels I used. I didnt find anything else but yuck!
My family and I enjoy going to the local Holiday Inn for weekend getaways. We enjoy being able to use the pool with our kids and the smiles it brings. Check in is always easy and the staff is helpful with any questions or issues we may have. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. We look forward to our next family outing there.
Got there after booking a room (suite) days in advance and was denied the room I was booked. Was upgraded to their presidential suite which was insanely dirty and in disrepair. When we brought complaints of the room to the front desk they basically told use we were screwed and they could only downgrade my family and I to a room with a single bed. The front desk refused to help and called the police to remove us from the hotel. Fun fact: those police officers told us we were better off money and quality wise at another hotel. We went to the Hampton down the road for 25 dollars cheaper and a free breakfast buffet. Avoid this hotel at all costs there are very similar prices and higher quality hotels within walking distance.
My suite was great. Staff are all professional, polite, and properly trained. My entire lodging and dining experience was almost perfect, and not to be negative about this fine hotel stay but I have only a few suggestions for improvement: Wish the restaurant opened earlier than 7:00 am on Saturday; the front desk was not clear about what time it closed when I arrived approx 10:30 pm. have Need towel bar in suite bathroom and safe in bedroom.
The staff was pleasant and the room was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the couch was a well. My guest didnt even pull out the bed cause the couch was comfortable to sleep on without converting. Of course with COVID there were no services, like bar, food or pool. It could have been cleaner
Inadequate front desk staff. Not only did I have to wait to check in because of the absent personnel, but I also saw this happen to two other people on different days. The room carpeting had stains everywhere of who knows what. The room chair was broke so you sat at the desk with your chin on the table. The curtains didnt overlap so the ground beacon lit up the room at night.
Staff were nice and friendly, except for one of the guys at the bar area. Second night the other bar guy (older/short) was much friendlier.Too many kids running through the hallway. Couldnβt get much sleep until midnight. Jacuzzi was out of order. Sauna was ok, but too many children and no one watching them.
The hotel is appealing to the eye when arriving. Lobby and staff were kind and very helpful. The room itself it less than desirable and not up to spec per other Holiday Inn stays. The carpet is worn, dirty and needs to be replaced. The mattresses were not comfortable and just worn out. The bathroom was clean - except under the sink and the corners - dirt. Our group added the breakfast - which was ideal for our athletes. But the breakfast was just eggs and meat. No fruit, no yogurt. Coffee could only be accessed by going to a corner in the bar. Again, less than ideal. Parking was simple - first come first serve lot. No problems there.
Hard to give it a 5 star as COVID limited the bar and breakfast. Noisy neighbors, but instant hot shower with water pressure was great. Newer establishment in a newer area. Middle of the road in pricing compared to others nearby. Next to high traffic area and rooms were becoming limited when we checked in at 9pm. Would stay again if traveling to the area.
Booked my wedding here months ago. Blocked rooms over a year ago and had till 1 month before my wedding to finalize. Found out the day of my stay, my guests were booked on 3 different floors. One including my new in-laws. Not a huge deal as there were enough rooms available to move them, but still, it was an inconvenience. On Thursday checkin, I canβt rant and rave enough about Nikolai and Mark at the front desk. Extremely friendly, great at their job. Friday night was my wedding. My shuttle driver arrived at my venue 15 minutes early asking who would be boarding the shuttle and who would be taking care of him (aka who will be tipping him). I was taken back but I said I will not be boarding but I will be taking care of you. After I gave him the money, I asked him was this ok ($20), he said thatβs what you gave me. Again, ummm taken back but I thought I wouldnβt have to see him again. My guests started to arrive around 11:30pm. I arrived around midnight. My in laws told me that the shuttle driver was now policing the 4th floor saying they were too loud and they had to shut the door. I was annoyed but I know how wedding guests can get out of hand so I let it slide again. Come to find out he was standing by the elevators watching and yelling from across the hall. After I finally had enough I went downstairs to confront him. The man at the front desk and the shuttle driver were completely rude and told us that we need to keep it down because there were other guests on the floor. Why are there other guests booked near a wedding party that had blocked rooms MONTHS AGO?! I donβt get it. I was furious. I wish I got there names. But, luckily I woke up the next day to checkout and was greeted by Nikolai smiling and asking how was our stay. Super friendly and lovely.3 stars due to Nikolai. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes. Would I recommend booking a wedding here, probably not.
Friendly staff and nice room at a very affordable price. During Covid-19 all businesses are struggling. There was one elevator that everyone used regardless of mask or control of crowding. Perhaps, a plan for cleaning the elevator and signs posted about masking and number of persons allowed in the elevator (non-family) For pandemic reasons, there wasnt maid service and we understand. We choose to reuse linens and towels even prior to this visit. However, 3 days without garbage bags or garbage pick-up is too long!
I arrived earlier than I expected to arrive. Check-in was at 3:00 pm I arrived at 1:30 pm. My room was ready to go, so they allowed me to check-in early. The room was clean and very peaceful. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. Thank you for all your hard work
The Hotel is clean, comfortable, well priced, and after the remodel, its very very nice. The staff is friendly and competent. They treat you like family and take a direct approach with every guest as an individual. The hotel is in a very safe neighborhood and Id recommend it to families with children. The indoor pool is always clean and a lot of fun. This hotel is located near tons of restaurants and shopping. This hotel offers so much for the price. Love it!!!!
Everything was clean comfortable in the room. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good and relaxing. Room was stocked with proper toiletries, ac/heat worked well. Used the fridge for left overs. There was a loud talking from a few guys in the hallway at 230am. Not the hotels problem people are jerks. The room doors close very hard and loud also.
My room was modern, well equipped and clean. The bar restaurant was very nice and the staff was helpful and accommodating. My only complaints were the Internet service was spotty at best and the meal /drink prices were a bit high. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Hotel was easy access to my work and made my commute time a piece of cake.
The room was clean as we often expect for Holidayinn. Notice that they dont provide complimentary breakfast. What I was impressed is their after service. I left my cloth in the room, but the manager was able to ship it back to my address. It gave me an impression that they really care about customers even after they checked out. Holidayinn will be definitely my option for next stay.
This is a businessmans hotel for the most part, but it also caters to the vacationer. The staff is first class; very professional and helpful. If you have a chance, speak with the gentleman who is in the restaurant at breakfast. Hes a terrific guy and is the example that everyone in the hotel should follow. If you got something to say about your stay, good or bad, contact the General Manager. Shes quite approachable and ready to do what is necessary for great customer service. Rooms are clean and well appointed, perhaps lacking a bit of light in the evening. WiFi is adequate, but can be spotty when busy. Personally, I prefer wired internet, but thats just my opinion. The hotels pool and exercise areas are well maintained. Breakfast buffet is very good and high level of customer service. A little history - The hotel is a bit off of Route 53, which is also historical Route 66. Dell Rheas Chicken Basket isnt too far away, as is a Portillos or a Lou Malnatis take out (They do deliver to the hotel) or White Fence Farm. All four have terrific food.
Awesome experience, one night and all amenities just right. Polite and very helpful desk employees, nice and very clean bathroom with a lot of towels, 15 minute shower stayed perfectly hot with strong, consistent water pressure. TV and mini fridge clean and worked well, air conditioning very strong and cooled room quickly. I give it a 9.5 out of 10 (leaving performance space for a perfect score because everyone likes to improve something!π
I am an IHG Rewards member and considered that when booking a last minute hotel for a friend and myself. We needed accommodations close to the airport for our flying missions and this hotel offered the services we needed at a reasonable price. Slight issues with room temperature but nothing that ruined the experience. Room was cleaned daily, the internet was OK (we tethered with our phones for faster service).Staff very friendly and helpful, always attentive.Go elsewhere for food. The hotel restaurant left much to be desired, and much of our stomachs to fill. Seemed more like school lunch type food than something youd expect from a hotel. We didnt get a free continental breakfast, as it wasnt offered to us. Its not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to know it was there and was good should we need to take advantage in the future.
I am running out of patience with IHG. The hotels have been visibly declining in quality, and no matter where I stay there always is a problem one way or another. In one hotel they send me to a room that hasnt been cleaned yet. Multiple hotels including this one having tvs or remotes that straight up dont work. One where the wall mounted thermostat was hanging off the wall by wires and wasnt able to control the fan unit. Often times soap or towels are missing. This has all been happening in the last few months. I have heard numerous staff complain about corporate not listening to them and are making changes to save money. Probably will end my spire elite membership after this stay and switch to a different hotel chain.
This is my go-to hotel when Iβm in the Chicago area. Itβs located strategically where itβs most convenient for me while Iβm in the area. The staff is always friendly and helpful and I generally get an upgraded room at checkin. Plenty of electrical outlets, always a comfortable bed and a spotlessly clean bathroom during every stay. Pillows are subjective and theyβre not my favorite but I tolerate them because I do not want to travel with pillows. I have no complaints about this HI and I highly recommend staying here.
Had a quick overnight stay for a high school bowling tournament in Romeoville. Overall everything was awesome! Got a free suite upgrade which was unexpected. Thought we might be in for a rough night due to basketball tournament players also being at this location. Not a problem though! Very quiet, peaceful. Staff was very good, both front desk and servers at breakfast! Food for a breakfast buffet was good except the bacon...I like mine a little bit more crispy. Only bad things I can say was (a) the microwave in our room is old and needs to be replaced - almost set a bag of popcorn on fire; and (b) the refrigerator the same. Did not seem to cool down bottled water very well. Awesome location re: distance to highway and other necessities such as Walgreens and restaurants. If we participate in this tourney next year, I would definitely stay here again!
Great stay. Received welcome points before I even arrived- I liked that because Ive had experiences where they dont offer you anything. Able to upgrade to a suite at the time of booking- that also was a very nice treat as it is always a guessing game if you will get an upgrade or not- that way we knew we would have access to a refrigerator during our stay.I really like the king suite set-up with separated bedroom and the dual doors to the bathroom- just the right size for a suite with a separate living area. It was nice to have the kid watch his programming on one TV and my spouse and I could watch what we wanted in the separated bedroom. Plus I liked the DirecTV channel selection- this is something I would like to see in all IHG hotels. It offers a diverse option of programming for both adults and children (especially kids who are picky about what they want to watch on TV).Pool was big and both my son and I enjoyed it very much. Maintenance person on staff on Sunday night was extremely friendly and seemed to go over the top to assist us (asked how the pool temperature was and answered a couple of questions we had). I was impressed with this staff member as I have never had a maintenance staff member go above and beyond like the one here at Bolingbrook.Overall, a great stay and we will likely be back again.
Several family members stayed at this hotel. My In-laws were struggling and needed a handicapped room and the Manager and staff did everything possible to accommodate the families requests. The bar area and people working both at night and for breakfast were great. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
I have to give a huge shout out to Lisa in Sales and Justin and Nic at the front desk for going above and beyond to accommodate my family when we stayed recently for a wake and funeral. Nic upgraded us as Spire Elite to a big 2 Queen room and it worked great for us with 2 teenagers. Lisa and Justin went out of their way to find find alternate arrangements for my elderly parents who needed a walk-in shower and first floor room- even though the hotel was very booked over the days they were staying. They were kind and caring to us and didnt give up! They gave 5 star customer service!!!! We gathered late after the wake in the bar to eat and the food was fantastic! Our kids ate breakfast in the morning and really liked it as well!
I have been staying at this property consistently over the past year and half, the staff is always friendly and helpful especially Kohlby and Tony. The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable always providing a good night sleep. They even found a missing charger in my room, called me saying they had it and I was able to pick it up before I left town. Great honest service. the restaurant is not typical of a hotel restaurant. The food is very fresh and very good with a daily special that is always new. Peter in the bar is always ready with a joke and helpful to your needs.Over a great staff, great property, great restaurant. Highly recommend this location.
Love the hotel, stayed there for business on two separate occasions. Friendly staff, clean rooms and love that it has an onsite bar/restaurant that is very good (bar food). Only issue is the bar gets packed at certain times and they dont seem to be able to adjust, which leads to long waits for food/bill/payment receipt I experienced each time I ate at a peak breakfast or dinner time. otherwise, great value and a 10/10 experience!
I really liked the bar and the design of the room. The food were good but they seemed a bit too oily (breakfast and at dinner). However, the worst thing about this breakfast was their coffee. Just awful. No weights in the gym when I was there. Otherwise, its nice. But I wouldnt recommend for business trip.
I love it when my Hotel makes my working out of town for a week, a comfortable, relaxing experience. check in and front desk service was exellent.. thanks Kohlby. I enjoyed the updates to the rooms, bathrooms are more functional for travelers.bar staff and serves for the dining room were very attentive. Food was ok.. pork chops were excellent..I enjoyed the quietness of the pool as there were not many kids as it was a week day. Overall enjoyed the week !!
Ive worked in hotels (sales manager and front desk) for over 13 years , this is my first low rated reviewed. The hotel is clean and great location. When I arrived the front desk staff thanks me for being plat IHG member and I received my welcome amenity. After driving 6 hours from Columbus, Ohio, we wanted to eat dinner in the hotels restaurant, I called the front desk to inquire about hours for dinner. The front desk agent stated If you want dinner go to restaurants now because they close in 40 mins but the kitchen will stop cooking in 10 mins. I was confused. We decided to each somewhere else to not feel rushed. 1 of the queen beds in my room did not have a comforter. We waited 2 hrs for extra towels on Saturday. The breakfast restuarant(they services breaked in the bar ) had no clean tables, other guests started cleaning their own tables instead of waiting for employees to clean them. I asked for a late checkout but was told no because Im not a spire member.
Stayed Sunday night and did not sleep well, breakfast was decent.Called Monday to make a reservation for Tuesday night. When I showed up on Tuesday they did not have any record of my reservation. Unfortunately all the hotels within 15 miles were booked completely. Had to go 25 minutes away to find a hotel with a room at 8pm.
Hotel is in good condition. The floors have strange smells to them, but not enough to be a problem. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The A/C in our room wouldnt stay on. It has settings of High, Low and Auto. It would only work on Auto. I usually set mine on Low to have the continuous noise to help me sleep. Our stay included breakfast, which was not a buffet, but made to order and it was good. ****Our only real complaint was that a housekeeper went down the hall at 8:30 on Sunday morning (check out is noon) and tapped her room key on every door on the floor to wake everyone up. We hadnt checking in until after 11 the night before and desperately needed our sleep. We had a long drive home ahead of us that day and wanted to sleep in. For this reason alone, I would NEVER recommend anyone stay here. This was very RUDE and completely uncalled for.
The room was clean, stocked, refreshed daily to a more than satisfactory status. For instance the towels and bathroom supplies were placed exceptionally well. The bedding was perfect clean and comfortable. The pool, hot tub and adjoining areas were exceptionally well maintained. The lounge, was small but delightful, food from the restaurant was always acceptable to excellent.Arika who worked the front desk was outstanding, as was the young woman who checked me out on Thursday. Both made me feel special.Tony at the desk was also very helpful in assisting me with a nighttime dining selection. The other tony who drives the shuttle van is nothing less than a treasure. If someone was an example of what you would want as an employee in your business Tony is that example. He keeps you informed, makes you feel comfortable, tells you little tips or historical info about the area and points out interesting places along the route. Charles at the lounge or Peter will know your name right away and always greet you pleasantly, and the morning crew in the buffet will take good enough care of you,if you do not find something you like there, you are not hungry.
The beds are nice and comfortable, nice beer selection in the lounge. Shower floor/tub is oddly shaped and almost impossible to stand flat footed, thats my only complaint about the room. This place doesnt have many nearby restaurants so it would be.nice to see them offer a full service restaurant for evening meals.
This is a very beautiful hotel, the staff was great and they will fulfill anything you need, the maids were very cheerful and funny. The rooms are very spacious and pretty. The beds are very comfortable have a lot of pillows, and you cant hear anything out in the hallway so it makes for a very quiet night.
The kitchen staff is amazing, make sure to ask for Charles or Erin and they will take good care of you! The low rating for room cleanliness is mainly based on the room service items either being left in the room or outside in the hallway to be gathered later. Overall good experience and would stay again no question!
The hotel itself appeared updated on outside but when you walk in it appears that some things looked updated and other things were not. It was a strange mix. Infused water near reception looked like it had been there all day.The room was ok, decent bed but once again had old things mixed with new. Popcorn ceilings and old doors rusted at edges yet had newer looking reclaimed wood wallpaper. Our shower handle was loose and difficult to turn on and off. For the cost, I donβt think the experience overall was that great.
My 3 night stay was for a business trip from UK. I use IHG weekly for work in UK and Europe so have stayed in dozens over the last 5 years. Mainly lower end of the IHG group, i.e. HiExpress, Holiday and the occasional Crowne Plaza. This hotel had recently installed new beds, which were excellent, and the staff were also very attentive - being a British visitor perhaps helped in this respect.Overall the hotel looked a bit tired and dated, in need of investment in infrastructure. Lighting and carpets would be a good start. The biggest problem for me was the food, but this is an issue in every american hotel I have ever stayed in. Heavily processed food packed with fat, carbs, sugar and salt. Oh and cheese. ... cheese (i.e.extra fat) on everything. No vegetables on the menu at at all apart from a side salad.Spaghetti and meatballs was frankly horrible.By asking for a an omlette with no meat and no cheese I managed to get a nice breakfast. But even then the toast is so sweet it was more like cake. Its no surprise the American people as a whole are so sick. Lovely people, almost without exception but a nation in need of help.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Making the reservation was somewhat challenging. We had a team mom block off 10 rooms. When I called they said that they were not blooked off but they still had availability. This happened with a couple other families. We are unsure why they said that but thankfully they had rooms. The pool needs some work! It would be a beautiful place to hang out but they had 3 tables and 5 chairs. Two of the chairs were broken and could be an accident waiting to happen. The gentleman working the front desk came through and asked how we were doing. I joked and aais we would be better if we had some chairs. I pointed out that 2 were broken. He right away started bring in some banquet chairs. He was very apologetic. When we first arrived we looked at the pool area and aoli cups and food were floating in the pool. We notified the front desk to aee if someone could clean it up. When we returned later in the evening it was cleaned. The hot tub was Brown! We didnt let our kids go in it, which they were all bummed. But overall we would return!
This is a very nice, clean hotel. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We arrived early and were able to get our room early which made our trip so much easier. Room was very clean and neat, beds were super cozy. Great location too, in proximity to several restaurants, Starbucks, and gas stations. Excellent hotel, would recommend to anyone.
Fresh renovation completed. Very nice. The parts that were renovated were done well. The carpet in our room shows a lot of wear for as fresh as the renovation is. Staff is very friendly. Located around many other hotels. A short drive will have you anywhere that you would like to eat in the evening. Very nice pool/hot tub and also a nice outdoor sitting area.
My group stayed at this location at this time last year. Service, rooms, everything was awesome! While renovations alone are not a deal breaker for me when booking a hotel, it was not mentioned anywhere on this locations website when I made my reservation. I would have liked to know that in advance. Room I was given appeared to have a dirty bed (there were hairs on the pillows and in the sheets) and when the staff told me housekeeping would change the bed, no one showed up. I went to the desk to inquire. I was told housekeeping was gone for the day but if I could wait they would give me the clean sheets so I could change the bed myself. If I hadnt gone to the desk to complain, I probably wouldnt have noticed that I had been charged for a rollaway bed I did not request. I will say that the manager of this location did contact me to work out my issues. However, if my group were to return to this location next year, I would stay somewhere else.
We had a family wedding & 10 of us + spouses stayed @ this hotel, along with quite a few members of the wedding party & everyone of our group mentioned how wonderful of a stay for us all & that the staff was fantastic. We as a large group had said, we would stay here again & us locals all said we would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a hotel stay for any reason. Believe me when I tell you, the entire hotel/bar w/food, staff, & rooms were wonderful. Dont hesitate for one minute to stay @ this hotel.
Just when I arrive in my room a big disgusting human waste left behind in the toilet lavatory. I just dont get it how can the cleaning crew miss this checks. So I when back to the front desk and request for another room. Just when I go again in my new room i found out that the AC is not functioning as it could be. And again for the 3rd time I requested for another room and its okay and functioning properly. But I notice that the pillow case and bed sheet look like they just been re used all crample up. I will never ever go back to this facility anymore.
Check in was prompt and easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We inquired about another possible stay and they gave us the same good price. The hotel was clean, good sized room, and very comfortable beds. The pool, hot tub, and fitness center was open from 5 a.m. - midnight, so we had good use of facilities. Check-in was at 3 p.m. and check-out wasnt until noon. Very nice place to stay. We actually booked two more future dates.
I am a Gold Member so I stay in a lot of HIE, HI. This one is clearly in need of renovation and a good discussion on sanitation. Mold/mildew in shower and in ceiling wall junctures, stained carpet, dried droplets on surfaces, etc. Shower doors do not work.TV is small and an antique. Remote did not work and when maintenance came the next day after a second request, was somewhat dismissive about the cord that was not attached.
We decided as a family that a get away for Mothers Day was a special treat. So since our son and family lives close to Bolingbrook we met at the Holiday Inn there because everything was under one roof. We had very nice rooms, the pool was excellent for the kids (and adults) to play in and there was a restaurant and lounge right on sight . The staff was very accommodating and professional in the way everything was handled. The restaurant was good maybe not the most excellent I have ever had but we did not dislike it. The rooms were very clean and quiet. I would recommend this Holiday Inn and we will definitely be using this again for our family get-aways.
We always take our son to a hotel in march for his birthday to swim ,because its very cold in march. We usually go to William Tell in Countryside Il, but are very disappointed with the dilapidated hotel. We decided to try a new hotel, so we went to Bolingbrook Il. The staff were ignorant and rude. The pool was shut down for our entire stay, and our room was dirty, abd disgusting. I am done with Holiday Inn, abd i am takibg my business elsewhere!
After being on the road 48 hours, we wanted to stay in a Holiday Inn, but most of the area was sold out, we happened to find this location and we drove at 3 am in the morning to check in, with no reservations. I was surprised that front desk staff was there with a happy smile even at those hours, they gave us a great rate and great big rooms. Beds were very confortable, a lot of pillows and big living area, indoor pool, bar and restaurant. A great value for all what we get. I strongly recommended and thanks to the staff for a great stay.
I travel a lot and simply put continue looking because you can do much better. The hotel is dated and in need of renovation. The room had a strong odor like that of an old monastery. The room was either hot or freezing cold due to the thermostat location. The tub was so out dated it was hard to stand up in so narrow. I honestly am shocked over all the good reviews almost makes me suspect.
After checking into our room we began getting ready to attend a wedding. There was not an outlet in the room that would hold the plugs from my wifes curling iron, my beard trimmer and even the hair dryer and iron provided in the room. The iron did not have a plug in the water reservoir so you could not use the steam as water ran out if you tried to use it. The iron would also not stay in any plug. We tried every outlet in the room. The only way we could use anything was for one person to hold the plug in the outlet while the other used the appliance. In addition there was only one elevator running with the hotel being sold out. When I made a comment to the front desk clerk when checking out the reply was that it would have to wait until Monday as the maintience man could not repair it by himself. I have a novel idea why not call in someone on the weekend to help your guests? However I must complement the restaurant/ bar person that was there on Sunday morning. I forgot to get his name but he was the only male working the morning of the 14th. He did a great job of accommodation our group of six and the service from him was excellent.
Overall my stay was fine and primarily there for business. However one of the beds felt itchy with the sheets and pillow cases. I had a rough time falling asleep the first night so I moved over to the other bed and felt fine. The room layout was fine and plenty of outlets.
The stay is not worth the dollar amount attached to it and you are penalized extensively even when you provide plenty of notice. And with higher prices, we were provided no perks. Carpet is not maintained as it should be. Plus the noise level was unbearable on Saturday night. They leave new staff alone to carry out tasks that they are not ready for and then it is difficult for that staff person to seek assistance. We were 30 minutes late for our meeting because of it... I would not recommend the facility or stay there again provided the choices in that area.
Spent two nights here for a mini vacation with my 3 year old son and his dad. We came for the pool and hot tub. There was a sauna which was a bonus, but it barely worked. The door doesnβt close properly so it was nearly useless. Ordered breakfast in bed and the food was great except for my husbands seasoned potatoes that came with his omelet were over cooked and hard. But the other food was delicious! I was impressed with the friendliness of all staff and level of respect housekeeping had. Overall, highly satisfied with my experience and you will be too.
My daughters soccer team had a wonderful experience with your hotel. Our room was wonderful, comfortable, and very clean! The hotel staff was so kind to let the girls hang out in the lobby, eat a meal together, play cards, visit; all things important to team bonding. When one family had a bad experience (a rowdy wedding party), the staff was incredible in accommodating them and making things better. Due to an injury, my daughter and I had to return for an unexpected second night; the staff was amazing. Caring, compassionate staff! I wish I could remember the gentleman that was at the front desk when we checked in both nights; he was incredible! Thank you!
Overall the stay was nice and comfortable. At breakfast they could be a bit disorganized, especially for one your are paying like a restaurant, but the food was good. Requested late check-out as a platinum elite member, but was told to call them in the morning because he didnt want to step on any toes, in the morning they didnt really have availability for late checkout.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable;however the hot tub had grime around the inside. It was very unpleasant and quite disgusting. The fitness center has a water dispenser but no water jug. In its place was a container of wipes. Also, the treadmill was very noisy. For these reasons, I would not recommend this hotel to others unless you donβt plan on using any amenities.
I called this place home for two and a half months while working at UPS in Hodgkins. I made small talk with the friendly restaurant staff in the mornings eating breakfast, which is made-to-order and is great quality. The rooms were admittedly unspectacular, but youre not staying at Holiday Inn for luxury. Staff was always ready to help and I never had to wait long for assistance if there was a line. I cant comment on normal cost as I stayed with a corporate rate. Id stay here again for sure.
This hotel needs work. The pool area has chairs with cushions (wet). The food in the restaurant (breakfast) is bland, expensive and small portions. The room air conditioner is loud and turns on/off making sleep difficult. Should be able to have constant fan running. The patio area has large planters with weeds in them, again, cushioned chairs (for outside) no fire pit and trash can always full. Part of fence falling down in patio area. Staff was friendly, but that is about all. One day no room service had to call to get towels exchanged. Not worth the holiday Inn price we paid, should of been Motel 8 prices. Have food allergy and asked one ingredient not be put in food and it was. No towel racks in bathroom, just wooden dusty shelves...trying to be hip and chic without the proper maintenance, failing miserably.
As a guest that has already stayed 40 nights this year, I want to give a shout out to Katie, Patti, and Jeff for making my stays away from home as comfortable as possible. It is due to this level of hospitality a reason of why I have stayed at this property for over 12 years and why we recommend this hotel to our additional corporate travelers. I however experienced a check-in this past weekend that did not live-up to the values mentioned above. Mark the gentleman that checked my in continually questioned my over which credit card to use, even though I was handing him a card he wanted to use a different account. I also felt the experience was cold and unwelcoming.
Weve stayed here a couple of times and REALLY enjoy it! The staff is great, the beds are COMFORTABLE, and the ambiance is so warm. The rooms are always cozy, clean, and soft. The only thing that would be the BEST is having a free breakfast. Normally, we like to stay somewhere that at least provides a bagel when we are rushing out the door to a meeting. But in any case, there is a Starbucks down the street, and a Family Restaurant if you want to have a full breakfast by some great Chicago folks. Thanks for all the care you give us!!
I only stayed over nite with my girlfriend and I. It was a last minute type of situation but they accommodated greatly. I was very pleased with the room size and cleanliness. I enjoyed all the options also provided such as vending machines, washers and dryer machines, the bar/lounge, the in room microwave and the mini snack shop they had in the lobby. All in all a great place
I arrived late after traveling all day for work, the check in didnβt seem to be very organized. In fact the next morning I had to go back and make sure they added my loyalty member number. Room was clean but noise was terrible. I was exhausted and woken up at both 1:30am and 3am by other guests partying in the hallways. Noise travels between walls of rooms too. This was the first IHG Iβve stayed at in years that didnβt have a free breakfast and coffee. The available dining was expensive and didnβt look all that great so I left to get Starbucks.I had several hours of work to do first thing on
After flying into Midway from all day travel, the decision was made to find a hotel, rather than make the 2 hour drive home. I was thankful that we did. It was a last minute decision with no reservation made. The hotel was full, however, the staff made my family feel welcome and met our needs. Pizza delivery recommendations, pool towel requests, change for the vending machines, questions about room service; the staff was polite and willing to provide service. The pool and workout room location is such that it does not interfere with hotel rooms. The facilities are open from 5am-midnight, this was wonderful for our family given the hour we arrived. If you are traveling in or out of Midway, I highly reccomend this hotel as a wonderful resting place for the family.
From the moment I arrived I felt comfortable with this facility. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I was able to accomplish my business each day and get much needed rest each evening. The room and amenities were conducive to feeling at home and getting the exercise and rest needed to stay fresh during the following day. This is definitely a place that I would revisit when business takes me back to this area, Next time I may try to take advantage of the excellent pool and hot tub provided here.
The bed felt nicer than home I have to admit. The staff should have left sheets and blanket out quite a bit more from the bottom so my tall frame could get adequate coverage at night, so I just completely remade my bed so I could get in all the way. The fridge kept 2 gallons of milk and water and fruit cups cold with room to spare. Microwaved popcorn was also convenient as well as reheating leftovers. Staff was friendly in getting whatever I asked for during the 11-night stay.
The front desk lady was extremely helpful and patient. I stayed for 4 nights and used room service each night. The food was better than expected, actual restaurant quality food. The room service staff was great. There was one person in particular who was fantastic, Charles. He was always happy and polite, really nice to open the door to someone who seemed very happy to see you. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Bolingbrook.
The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful, they ensure that your stay is a great one. The location is perfect, you have places to eat, shoppings, gas stations, highways and for me, my workplace very close. The noise from outside cant be noticed. The pool and gym facilities were very clean. The one thing that can be better is the air conditioning in the room, it was not cold enough for me and my family. But overall Im planning to utilize this hotel everytime I have to work in this location.
Altogether it was nice. Im big on cleanliness and th bedrooms always look nice. But most often I find problems in the bathroom. Here it was clean, fresh, roomy, and properly stocked. The new beds were supremely comfortable. The staff always smiling, welcoming and friendly, willing and available to help.
This was a repeat stay for me. I like this hotel very much, the staff is always very friendly and helpful, its clean and quiet and easily accessible. Its situated in a nice area of town, next to restaurants, (and my much needed Starbucks!) without a lot of traffic.
Very comfortable beds. Clean room. Computer down when we arrived. Front desk clerk very friendly and apologetic. Person that had to run our credit cards in backroom not friendly at all. I got the feeling he was manager. Arrived at 2:30 pm and wanted to go ahead and check in the 3 rooms I had reserved for extended family. My mother is a cancer patient and I did not want her standing around waiting. This gentleman did not crack a smile or say anything comforting or seem to care. I had to go ahead and pay for all three rooms on my credit card. By the time my parents came 15 minutes later there was a long line through the lobby. I dont expect much but kindness and understanding and friendliness go a long way. The people in line are the ones who had to wait and I did not see anyone fussing. I feel they could offer free breakfast to all guests for price of this hotel. Every Holiday Inn I have stayed in offers a free buffet breakfast. Guess Chicago area doesnt have to offer that. No one mentioned that I was a Priority Club Member during my stay.
I was disappointed from the moment I tried to check in. The front desk clerk seemed like she couldnt be bothered. She greeted me as a platinum member but I had to ask for a room upgrade. The room upgrade process seemed to be a burden to the clerk. When I got to the room the first thing I noticed was a dirty glass on the floor outside the door. I thought they were just busy and it wasnt a big deal.Sleep quality was OK, the bed was comfortable enough. The morning shower turned out to be a bit difficult though. I am certain that the only thing done by housekeeping was to replace the towels. The shower and shower curtain had stuff on it from the last guest, there was no soap or shampoo to be found (glad I carry extras). All in all I was a bit disgusted with the cleanliness of the bathroom. Traveling is difficult enough without being exposed to diseases and conditions of people you dont know.I had an unexpected checkout the next afternoon which was accommodated by the new front desk clerk. I went up to retrieve my luggage and I noticed the same glass was still sitting outside my door.
Acceptable. No free amenities except for coffee, which they will also gladly sell you for $2.50 if you dont notice the free stuff. Bathrooms kinda suck, but at least there was a tub and a heat lamp so you dont freeze out or the shower. I was here during a lot of snowfall and the main heater in the room was very noisy and made it hard to sleep through. When I went to adjust the heater, the top half of the unit fell apart. The while place could use a refresh. The TV was a brand Id never even heard of before and was unsurprisingly garbage.
I thought the staff was very friendly and helpful, in the dining room and lounge and on the front desk. The lobby was a comfortable place to gather and nicely furnished. As far as the room, it needs a make over. The cleanliness was very good but the bed linen really needs to be replaced. Looks very worn and washed out. Need some color.
The rooms in this hotel are very dark and the lighting is poor at best. I have spoken to several guests ( I stay there often) and most everyone agrees that the rooms are too dark and the bathrooms could use some updating. The Priority Club points is the only reason I stay at this hotel due to the room conditions. The staff is fantastic and always very pleasant. The beds are comfortable too.
We werent familiar with the area when we booked this hotel but found it to be a great choice. We were warmly welcomed by name (the right last name, wrong first name) when we arrived as one of 3 families staying there during the weekend of a family wedding. The desk clerk made a point of helping us with directions to the wedding location, information about several of the businesses nearby and location of stores for last minute forgotten items. Our room was extremely comfortable, was not over-perfumed (we have allergies) and very clean. It was a lovely experience and I highly recommend this hotel for future trips.

2022-05-07The staff here was excellent. Very friendly, informative and answered any questions. Jeffrey was who my family and I dealt with and he was great! The pool and hot tub were nice. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable but, the bathroom was a little run down in places. The downfall for me was not having a continental breakfast. We did order supper and breakfast from the restaurant and the food was good.

2022-05-12The stay at this hotel was OK. For a quick overnight it is just fine for the prices. That said, it is evident time has taken its toll on this hotel and it hasnt received the extra care it needs.Pros: The rooms were very big. The beds were also comfortable. The staff I interacted with were helpful and kind.Cons: The interior of the hotel is dated. A staff member told me there had been a recent remodel, but I think it was very selective. Much of the carpet was old, ripped, and stained. Tile floors in the room had dirty or missing grout. The shower/bath caulk was dirty or missing, ceilings had cracks. Beyond the dated hotel, I had to find staff to check me in, after waiting 10 min at the front desk. Not a huge deal, but annoying. Even a sign saying Ill be back in 10 min) would have been good. My first room was dirty when I got in, so they assigned me a different one. I appreciated the different room, but would have prefered to not have to go back down to the front desk to complain.Overall: The hotel is decent and could be really good. If there were no other options nearby I would stay here over driving from outside, but there are other similarly priced hotels in the area that are newer/cleaner.

2022-03-06Great place to stay. We have been here before and our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous and lobby was spotless. Pool area had plenty of towels also which has not always been the case at other hotels we have stayed at. Would definitely stay here again, its always great here!π

2022-04-10Very basic hotel. My room was clean and comfortable. Had what I needed and nothing I didnt. I think some of the staff are new......they had issues with my credit card and my room keys seemed to not work every time I went to use them. Had to go to the front desk at least five times to get them redone but they wouldnt give me new ones. The restaurant is very good.

2022-04-06I give this 4 stars because the room was spacious and big. The beds were comfortable and so was the luxurious large bathroom. The pool was great too! I do have a few concerns though. Inside the room some things were falling apart inside the bathroom such as the sink handle and the shower bar. Anyways, when going downstairs I did have some trouble in the elevator so unless you guys would like to take over 12 flights of stairs be careful with the elevators or else the doors will not close. This Hotel is honestly great for a one night stay whilst traveling or looking for a good swim.

2022-05-04They took great care of my staff. they felt reenergized, and ready for training. They also made the accommodations for them as requested. the staff was kind, and resolved a situation immediately. With the cost of the Suite, I would deffinetly have them stay again.

2022-05-17I am beyond disappointed in this hotel. We have never been treated so poorly. My husband and I live in Sd, we grew up out here and stay at your hotel everytime we come out here...we booked 3 days, when we got there we were told we can switch our room to a king size bed, 2nd day came on a Monday. When we tried to switch we were told no king because they save the king size bed room to business people only,,,,then unexpectedly our nephews wanted to stay with us,,we asked if we can get another room since we had myself my husband my teen boys and 2 of my nephews,, we were told again you couldnt do that cause its a two day minimum, and you save the rooms for businesses only...I called the new holiday Inn in Romeoville and they were beyond surprised you guys treated us so poorly and told us there is no 2 day policy for weekdays,,we ended up staying at the Hilton and will never ever stay at your hotel again..Stay away from this hotel!

2022-06-03Room was normal. Not one of the fresh remodels but not ancient either. I ha e mixed feelings about the free/include breakfast offered at most Holiday establishments vs the ones that have the restaurants. Attached is the menu amd for the prices...just eh. Ill take free. No room service or maid service. Set your towels and trash outside the door and its gone at some point. Have to stop at the front desk and ask for a re-up on towels. Was there for 4 nights. All was well save for whatever wedding or party was goin on. Seriously people, just because you rent a room and a conference hall, does it really mean you gotta be loud af, run down the halls and act like general animals? Staff was nice, hotel decent, Bolingbrook in general has its nasty side and its good side tryin hard to be Naperville. This hotel is located in a business park type area. A quick drive to food and such. A little further to get away from the trash area but it isnt bad. Id stay here again.

2022-03-20First off. Front desk lady tried to rip me off saying it would be $200+ when I actually was able to book for $134 online. Then she charged my card more when I checked in.Then when I wake up the power is off.. no charged phone and no shower.Ridiculous.. dirty room and hall smells like cigarettes.. I love holiday inns but not this one.

2022-04-26This property in Bolingbrook, IL was in need of renovations. It looked & smelled old & unkempt. The bathroom was dirty, the TV remote didnt work & wasnt fixed after requesting service. The lobby columns had sharp edges that tore the skin from my sons foot & the front desk employee was very apathetic when told. Not a hotel I visit again.
