Easy in and out. Personable staff. Limited selections. A clean small town grocery.

I visit the store in Abingdon and they are super friendly there. Yes the prices might be a little higher than say Walmart but but you dont have to wait in line forever and you get friendly service! Also ,I dont like the big stores because I have a hard time getting around. Every time I go there I get checked out right away. Well worth the little extra you have to pay and plus your supporting a small home town business !
Small town grocery store that has all you need.
Super friendly employees and the last of the family owned small grocery stores in the area. The only descent meat department in Abingdon or Galesburg (even better than the now corporate owned Thrushwood Farms). Fair prices and a surprisingly good selection for a small store. This is also the only place in the Galesburg area to get good (fresh) produce. They will carry your groceries to your car as well. There is always somebody to greet you when you walk in and never a long line. I hope they never go out of business.
Love the family owned stores. Great for a quick shopping trip or a whole weeks worth of groceries, they have everything the average person would need for any occasion. Also a very friendly staff
The young people that work here are wonderful. Sometimes the older ladies are not friendly. The store smells bad.
Best meat department around. Not only is the price right, the flavor is excellent. If you cant find something in the case, the cutters will get it for you. Old school butcher shop.
Anytime I dont see my coffee Ice cream someone is always happy to look in the back

First time shopping there. Im not in Abingdon much but when I pass through, I plan to stop because they carry some things that I dont find in other small grocery stores. Pleasant employees and options... Ill be back!

2020-01-11I love this place. Its a family business with strong ties to the community. The service is great. The meat department is excellent- like the old butcher shop. The cashiers know everyone and feel like family. This is probably the only grocery store that has carry out service. Right to your car, and they load it exactly like you want it. It is an experience, a really good one!

Now that we dont raise our own livestock I have found that their meat Dept is very accommodating and the meat is Very high quality for store bought. Last but not least I really appreciate the fact that it has always been Family Owned by a very kind and friendly family 💕
