We booked a suite at this hotel to celebrate Father’s Day. We showed up at 2pm which was check in time. Upon arrival we were told our room would be ready in a “ couple of minutes” skip to one hour later, our room was finally ready. We got to our room to find the cleaning personnel was still in the room finishing up. She was a lovely women who was very apologetic about our wait. The pool was dirty with pieces of paper and grass floating in it, and the water was very cold. The hot tub had a horrible musty smell that wouldn’t go away. We also received a $50 charge that we weren’t told about, just in case we were to want any of their snack bar snacks, even though we didn’t eat anything. The room was very spacious and nice. Beware booking through a 3rd party, because if you do their WiFi will not work. You use the lobby WiFi which is very slow if it works at all. The breakfast was good with a nice selection. Most of the staff was friendly except for the front desk and two of the cleaning personnel, which were two very young boys who I only saw goofing around. Outside of the pool area there was a small grill with spices and a bottle of olive oil just laying there. There were also guests walking around the property smoking weed, which if you have small children with that isn’t ideal. I have very mixed feelings about my stay. I will likely not return to this location.
I would give this hotel a 0 stars if I could. The experience I had with them was EXTREMELY disheartening. Booked a room for 3 nights. Had a family emergency (sudden death) in the family so didn’t go to the hotel the first night. Got to the hotel for the second night, and they had given away our room that was already paid for. We explained the situation to Susan the manager, and she told us she didn’t care about our loss and too bad they didn’t have a room for us. This was a room we paid for. We never asked for a refund for the first night just simply explained the situation and expected to be able to stay in a hotel room we paid for for the remaining two nights. We were treated horribly, Susan had horrible customer service and zero sympathy for a horrible situation and now no where to stay. Extremely disappointing.
My agency rents this hotel for me for a travel assignment. This hotel owned by Marriott was a disappointment. The front of the hotel smells horrible. Rooms smell cigarettes. The pillows got yellow stains. When I asked for a couple of pillowcases the front clerk told me shes not allowed to give pillowcases, when I asked why she said we change them daily. I was shocked I had never stayed in a hotel that refused to give a clean pillowcase. Please Marriot takes the time to make rounds in this particular location. I dont really care about free breakfast. If you cant give me a clean pillowcase, whats make me things you served a clean breakfast. I will never stay there again. Please if you are a frequent traveler do not stay in this hotel. You will never sleep with lots of noise. Terrible location for nurses.
Had a great experience here, staying in a lot of hotels lately due to husbands work and this one by far has been the best. Very clean rooms, more breakfast items than most places do right now, all the staff was kind and friendly especially Chasity. (hope I spelled her name right) She was a pure delight to see and speak to every morning, its employees like this that are truly the backbone of a company and should be rewarded as such. Thanks for a wonderful stay. 😊
Honestly, for the amount we paid I was pretty disappointed. I called the day before our stay to check on everything, confirm and ask ab their covid procedures. I was told I was all set, and that they dont have visitors back to back, but a 2 day gap in between each reservation/room. I was told that there would be a seal on my door and frankly this is why I chose to pay over 100/night...bc of their covid procedures I expected to be more thorough than a $75-$85/night across the street. We got there 2 hrs after check-in, got our keys (and a 3rd set of towels bc they said they only put 2..in a room that sleeps 5). Cool. Go upstairs and our room was still being cleaned from the visitor THE NIGHT BEFORE. (NO 2 DAY GAP OR OBV SEAL ON THE DOOR)..To make matters worse, I am handicapped and needed a chair immediately as my family went downstairs, so I had to stand through all of the hoopla with our bags, in excruciating pain. We got a studio suite. The microwave was old and obnoxiously loud as the plate kept jumping track, the toilet couldnt even be used to simply urinate without clogging, & the back of the bathroom door looked like it had been laying in flood waters for weeks, bubbled, warped and missing paint. One of the chairs in the room greeted me with 2 big nails in the back of the thigh as they stuck out of the fabric. Thankful for my tetanus shot since the nails broke skin. Luckily there was plenty sitting and we just rested our suitcase in the chair. Thankfully. The beds were super comfortable. Oh, and breakfast..not worth waking up for. Soggy Jimmy Dean sandwiches and without a doubt the grossest pancake on a sausage link on a stick. Apple juice was delightful. And the signs (and crumbs at the waffle station) will leave you nice and hungry, yearning for more. & dont buy from the snack place unless you want a basic cup of noodles. We tried almost all of it since there isnt much local food. From a nasty lean cuisine (ended up over cooked just to get it to be warm thanks to shotty microwave in room) to a rock hard Twix (yes Twix, the caramel almost broke a tooth)..its not worth it. Looking back, I am incredibly thankful for the great vacation we had with family. Bc it distracted me from how much money we wasted. Dont be like us. Please.
This hotel books reservations for room types they do not have available. They wont tell you in advance or even upon check-in and will assign you a different room without explanation or apology once you figure it out. The desk clerk was rude and completely unapologetic about messing up the reservation and failing to explain what had happened. I wont be staying here again, despite being a long term HiltonHonors member.
The room layout is the best. I have never seen that in a hotel before. Very nicely done. Made is seem a lot roomier. The front desk people in the morning/ early afternoon where so nice and made me feel welcome as i was in the lobby waiting for my husband to pick me up after his business meeting. If we are ever in the area we will stay here again.
We had a king suite on the first floor that was near the pool and that was really easy access but it was a highly traveled Corridor in the morning and we didnt have to be out that early. Everything was nice and clean its a bit of an older hotel but nice. The staff were very helpful. I wish I would have realized it was a wrestling tournament weekend because the hot tub and the pool were completely overtaken by tons of very nice but very loud and rowdy boys. Breakfast in the morning was complimentary and yummy especially the waffles!
The building is back off the main road. Our room was very quiet and there was no traffic . The entrance was nicely decorated and very clean. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious and very accommodating. A very nice breakfast is laid out for the next morning with fresh fruits and hot foods. We didnt need any room service so I couldnt comment on that.
Easy access from Interstate, but not close to anything besides other hotels including the absence of any restaurants within 10mi. Two queen suite was super huge - larger than most apts. Very nice public areas and above average complimentary breakfast compared to other Hampton Inns. Front desk staff was friendly but a bit slow with the computer at both check-in and check-out. The room was definitely in need of a remodel or refresh. Lighting was poor and having only 4 hangers was a bummer. Room was not particularly clean and was banged up. Fabric furniture was stained and hard furniture was scratched/banged up. See pics. Bed was firm and got a comfortable night’s sleep (best part). I would stay here in a pinch, but as there appears to be a brand new Townplace Suites next door - would try there next time.
Didnt start out good..2nd floor rooms not clean or ready, changed rooms, that 2nd room still not cleaned, changed again and 3rd room key didnt work, lots of up and down. Finally able to settle in. Very homey feel. Felt bad for front desk clerk as rooms were checked that they were cleaned and were not.
Beautiful hotel. Great pool with hot tub which has become rare at most hotels. Fitness center is not overly large but is clean and well stocked for standard hotel. Ill come back and edit if any big problems tonight or with breakfast tomarrow. If not, assume it was all awesome.
We stayed for 3 nights. I found the Hampton Inn to be very clean. My kids enjoyed the pool. We all liked the hot breakfast every morning. We planned a last minute event in the meeting room and it went great. Aaron went above and beyond helping us get the room ready and making sure we had everything we needed. I recommend the Danville Hampton Inn.
My room (king suite) was very spacious, clean and well-kept with up-to-date furnishings. Room was quiet, which was appreciated after listening to my neighbor drone-on via speakerphone through the paper thin walls of a Quality Inn the night before. Neutrogena hair products and soap. Excellent complementary breakfast (eggs, bacon, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and various sweet treats) available 6-10 am. Very happy with this motel!
We called Hampton reservations and paid over the phone for a one night stay on September 29, 2017. We arrived and spent the night and found the hotel to be decent, but not up to the standards we had come to expect for Hampton. When we got our credit card bill we saw that in addition to the charge from the reservation desk, the Danville hotel had charged us a second time. We immediately called Danville and explained the situation. Whoever answered the phone said that the manager would have to straighten it out and that she was not there but would call us the next day. The manager never called so we had to deal with Hampton corporate and it took two calls and a three week wait for them to send us a check. We will never stay at this hotel again and we are questioning our long time preference for Hampton. A double charge and a manager who refuses to call back (or an employee who fails to pass messages to the manager) and a three week wait for a refund is what you might expect from a shady roadside motel but not from the Hilton group. In the future we will explore other options.
Lovely hotel and friendly helpful service. Their free WiFi was acting weird with my phone but I didnt care enough to ask about it. Also they had the BEST eggs of any continental breakfast Ive ever had. One morning waa scrambled with fajita meat with onions and peppers and the next they were made into these little patties with ham onion and I think some cheese. Ill be dreaming about these eggs for a long time.
Very VERY clean!! I had a suite!! If u have a big family ect get the suite the kitchen was amazing !! Which came in handy due this Covid19.MS.CONNIE. , ms.Shamarla, and EVERYONE WAS AMAZING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! YOULL LOVE IT...*IF U BOOK ONLINE WILL SAY NO ROOMS...JUST CALL DIRECTLY and its Cheaper❤
Thank you to the front desk lady named Leah!! She is such an asset to this hotel! Leah assisted us in getting a room when the Best Western cancelled our reservation. She went over and above with customer service! Thank You !Thank You! I highly recommend this hotel. To the owner of the this Hampton, I want to know what a great asset Leah is to your hotel!!
Not a bad hotel but the TV in the room constantly got bad reception and quit working. Neighbors can be heard often, the walls are not very thick. They do offer a decent breakfast and clean rooms. The WiFi is very slow and it seems you have to pay a daily fee if you want decent speeds.
Horrible experience. We always stay at Hamptons because theyre almost always nice, however this one was not. VERY STRONG SMELL OF WEED ON SECOND FLOOR!! Our original room on the third floor had people in it and they were screaming and fighting with the door propped open. We were then moved to a room on the first floor by the pool and the bathroom smelled like smoke. There were several kids on the second and third floors running up and down all the halls until almost midnight then there was more fighting and screaming late at night. Those same kids were taking over the pool, hot tub, and work out room. The floors of the pool room and work out facility and the equipment was all wet. They were also messing around with the emergency floatations devices all without parent supervision. We had friends on the second and third floors and they said there was lots of screaming. We all had awful visits. The only reason I didnt give them a one star is because luckily the staff was VERY kind, helpful and family-friendly.
The location isnt the far away from the interstate, however the location itself is in the middle of nowhere. Its not a big deal, but finding a place to eat a bit later at night can be challenging. The hotel and room were pleasant and clean and breakfast was pretty good considering it was included. Overall a good experience.
I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at numerous Hampton Inns across the country. I will never stay at this properly again. When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was the overflowing garbage can by the front door. Additionally, someone put an empty case of beer next to it and that too was filled with garbage. I should have taken that as a sign and turned around and left, but I didnt. (Side note: When I checked out the next morning, the garbage was STILL there and with more in it.) The front desk clerk had the personality of wallpaper paste. She seemed like she really didnt want to be there and mumbled everything she said. (I almost laughed out loud when she sounded like Eeeyore greeting me with Thank you for being a Hilton Honors member.) When I got to my room on the second floor, my door was wide open and the room was unfinished. The bed was unmade and the bathroom hadnt been cleaned. This was 6:00 pm in the evening. The maid was all apologetic as she frantically finished cleaning/making the room while I stood there. Incidentally, all the other rooms on this wing were also open and in various stages of service. It was like this lonely maid was trying to make them all up at once. This property is not far from the rail line.Trains came through every 1.5 hours throughout the night blowing their horns as they came through town. It was the worst nights sleep Ive ever gotten. By 5:00 am I had had enough and left. Lastly, there are no restaurants nearby. You have to drive quite a distance just to find a decent place to eat. In the future, I will drive the extra distance to Champaign/Urbana or Crawfordsville and find a Hampton Inn there. Do not stay in Danville.
The hotel itself is a typical Hampton Inn. But the reason I am docking points is because of the location. It states Danville, but in reality it is very far from the amenities of Danville, namely the restaurants. There is NOTHING near by this place. You are still looking at many miles to find something. Sure the restaurants tend to deliver, but if you dont want to eat in your room, be prepared to drive 15-20 minutes to find one.
We booked a suite 1 month ahead of time and when we got there it said it was already full. So we got some random hotel room that wasnt our suite and had to stay there. The night sucked and the people next door were laughing and yelling the entire night. Luckily we got a refund
If I could leave a zero I would. After traveling for hours and arriving for our reservation, we were informed they were overbooked. They said they found a room at the TownePlace suites across the street for the same price. When I went there they said we had to pay for two rooms making it double the price
This place is nice but we grabbed 2 nights is was $318 then the next week we grabbed four night and it was $680 so they upcharge us and we grabbed more night to stay so this will be our last time staying here they thought they were slick but we cought on quick dont stay here unless you like to throw away money

2022-01-31Oh my, do I miss my Hampton hotel in Danville. I actually resided at hotel due to contract employment. I got to see how hard housekeepers have it with inconsiderate guests leaving the rooms like back at home.I only have nice things to say about the personnel and GM. They went above and beyond the call of duty. They made me feel at home away from home. They made me feel loved and were my support team when I had a bad day. They made my day by putting a smile on my face. My room was always cleaned daily. I had fresh linens and towels daily. All the times I used the hot tub and pool I never encountered any problems. I enjoyed their daily breakfast selection. Now Im at courtyard in PA. The hotel is all about the $$$. Personnel are not friendly. They walk around like zombies. Not even a fake grin. I would trade my Hampton Inn at Danville for all the upscale from the courtyard. In my heart nothing beats my Hampton and its staff. I love them all and would go back to contractual work in Danville in a heart beat just to stay there again and be around family.

2022-03-24Recently I stayed at the Hampton Inn and was very pleased especially with having multiple basketball teams staying there as well. It was very quiet. I wasn’t there very much but to sleep but when I needed something, the staff (mainly Adam) took care of it immediately. Adam was so nice and always had a smile on his face every morning. I had a chance to speak to the manager, Jaime and you could definitely tell she took pride in making sure everyone staying there was satisfied with their stay. Thanks!

2022-02-09Lack of maintenance and care in the parking lot creating a hazardous environment. Frozen solid ice and snow left throughout parking lot. You can barely walk and roll your suitcase. Meanwhile, the Marriott next to it is nice and plowed. Screw you, Hilton. Staying in Marriott next time.

2022-03-06Room prices were extremely high for this area, and at that rate I expect excellent conditions. The room was supposed to have a microwave, it was missing. Desk said they are missing some and they havent ordered any replacements. Found hair stuck in several towels in bathroom. Overall the room as a bit too worn.

2022-05-11For one, I was harassed by a girl who’s friend worked there. The girls name is Michelle Huggins. She has long fire engine red hair. My friend and I were in the pool and I was told even after hours we were able to stay in there. I only got the hotel room specifically for their hot tub. And one of Michelle’s friends didn’t like me for some weird reason and all I know is she was cracked out and apparently she thought I wanted her cracked out man. So, Michelle kicked us out of the pool area. Although, it was way after when they should’ve closed the pool down hours ago. Michelle gave this girl a free room as well. The entire night was just annoying from then on. The girl finally came down after I was sitting in the lobby and made a noise complaint. Saying that we were too loud. We weren’t loud at all. And Michelle’s friend that was staying there sent her husband down to complain some more. They stayed on the third floor. So, they lied saying we were too loud. But no other person made a complaint other than the cracked headed husband and girlfriend because they just didn’t like me for some reason that I don’t know. So, michelle, your little crack head posey is bad for hotel business, quit giving your friends free rooms while others had to pay 200 dollars for us to get kicked out of the pool area. Crackheads gotta stick together right?

2022-02-04In the beginning of January I had to go to the Danville area to handle the death of a family member and estate. I always utilize Hilton hotels when possible. I was there 6 nights. The rooms weren’t clean (trash on floor around beds upon arrival), weren’t cleaned while we stayed, (I had to go get towels and toiletries most days and), rooms haven’t been maintained (water poured out of the handle you turn the shower on with, towel hangers hanging off the wall, broken TV and phone), people were in our room without us being told (we had to return the tools that maintenance had left in the room), we had money and my AirPods go missing, and to top it off the hotel won’t respond to phone calls (from me or Hilton corporate). We have used this hotel for years when we visit the area to be with family, the quality has gone down tremendously, to the point we actually booked my disabled father a room in a hotel across the street after we were having dirty bedding and towels left, even after we specifically asked for room service.I’ll never stay at this hotel again. I’ve waited weeks for a call back about the stolen items.Don’t bother going here.

2022-01-13We came to town for the funeral of a family member and this Hotel decided to double book a room for my family keeping our $1083.66, after months of requests and promises from them they now refuse to refund us. I would not recommend this establishment and definitely do not give them your credit card information. This has not been a great experience and is leading to a legal dispute. Use CAUTION here!!

2021-08-02The first impression of the lobby was very clean and welcoming. The managers and attendants at the front desk were absolutely amazing. They were friendly and accommodating for our needs. They were able to book us a room last minute due to a misrepresentation of a falsely advertised motel in the area. The room was well kept. Breakfast in the mornings was excellent and fully stocked both mornings we were there. Great experience and highly recommend staying here.

2021-10-26When I arrived, the desk attendant was not at the front desk. One of the cleaning staff yelled for her when she noticed I was standing at the counter..When the desk attendant came out, she was wearing ripped jeans, not a professional first impression. The room I received had been smoked in and the smell was very strong. The staff had a somewhat defeatist attitude about the matter although they did quickly put me into another room. However, the overall attitude that came across was Oh well, not much can be done about the problem other than give you another room. Any smokers reading this, please, please take it outside. It is difficult to remove the smell and there are folks that are allergic. Common courtesy please!!The second room I was provided was very clean and tidy. Kudos to the cleaning staff! In contrast, the staff handling the Continental Breakfast was a rockstar! She was very helpful and pleasant to speak with.Overall, it was a nice stay.
