My husband and I have always bought local and always had great service at Gustafson’s and Al Grace. Well, this last time (and I’m saying last time because we will no longer be buying from Gustafson’s). I DO understand when I purchased the chase sofa we were in a pandemic but was still quoted 12-14 weeks. My order was pushed out about 2-3 additional times, I’m sure Lori noted the 1 time she called me to offer a refund (but prior to that I had visited the store to check on the arrival estimate and called-so Lori was following up, DOING HER JOB). Unfortunately the reason I purchased the couch was because I wanted it. I was told the 3rd time it would be in April 15, I’d really lost all hope on receiving this sofa...but to my surprise when I CALLED it was in! Well I asked to speak to Lori for the EXTRA LONG wait if they would deliver it (I had scheduled a friend to help back in February when I was told it’d arrive-now being 8 weeks later I would have to arrange getting a truck and help together). Lori called me back and snapped at me “No, no there’s no way we can do that” had an awkward chuckle (the one when things are uncomfortable) and I asked to speak with some else. I stated I wasn’t happy with her response. She let me know she was the “top dog”. Never ever have I had some refer to themselves as the top dog. Ridiculous way to speak to a customer!! Lori also went on to tell me her own furniture is not coming in until June (do you tell a customer that? Im confused with her management style and how she is still employed after reading other comments about her). I am disappointed at the way she treated me! To find out Jamie is the manager so I asked for her. Lynn said right now Lori is the “top dog”. Again!! Who lets their employees talk to customers that way?? (Please make sure when you look at our account you go back SEVERAL years to see ALL the purchases we have made-not just the most recent) I hope this review leaves others (shoppers) and management to take a closer look at Gustafson’s team and choose to shop elsewhere. I KNOW I will NEVER step foot back in there.On a pleasant note, Emma at customer service was helpful. Still I will never go back!! The people that did help us load the sofa were very disorganized and slow. We waited over 30 minutes for the couch to come out.
Edit: Someone called me about this situation. Although the woman was very nice and we had a discussion about the customer service. After some time, the furniture parts were sent directly from the manufacturer and the bed was fixed. However, the furniture was cheaply made, so within the next year, it will need to be replaced. We havent had this bed for a year and we were just disappointed with this purchase overall. Although the manager was friendly, its still disappointing to go through this situation and end up with low quality furniture.We bought a bed frame from here and the people here were wonderful. Great customer service and they have been very kind.Edit: We did not have a good experience whatsoever. Our piece of furniture broke after having it for less than a month and I gave them a call. The same man that sold us the bed asked me if our furniture had wheels (it doesnt) and once I said no, he said OK, have a good day and hung up. I called back and spoke to someone who put me on a waiting list for repair. Meanwhile, my husband called and the same man told him to bring it in to switch it out and also hung up on him. He did not mention a time or even what they planned to do. I called the next day and talked to another gentleman (he was nicer) and mentioned how the first man said that we would just get it fixed. I asked if he happened to know the time it would take but he didnt know. Overall, it wouldve cost us to get it fixed but I cant believe how terrible the service was and it was very unprofessional to keep hanging up on us. I wouldve asked all the questions the first time if the salesman wouldve just listened to me instead of hanging up. Just go straight to another furniture store or even Amazon because delivery is at least free.
Exceptional Customer ServiceWe could not have asked for a better furniture buying experience! We were looking for furniture in a timely manner and Dana spent a few hours helping us find coordinating living room and bed room furniture that was in stock. She was patient and very helpful. She definitely went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience and the furniture is beautiful! The delivery men were very courteous and informative and setup furniture with care! Please stop in and ask for Dana!
We purchased an England power double recliner sofa on 8/26/21 for over $2000.00. It was delivered approximately 1 week later. A day later we noticed the seat fabric was buckling so we went in person back to the store and talked to customer service (girls at desk) we were told to call thr Product Protection Co. We called them and were told need to call the service department at the store as was still under store warranty. We called and talked to Roland and he sent a serviceman to look at the problem. He attempted to adjust the stuffing but actually made it worse. He also made an stuffing adjustment to one of the arms. He stated he would need to replace the seat core and should be about 1 1/2 weeks for the part to come in. We never heard back , so we contacted the service department again on 10/13/21and left a message for Roland or Sandy to call back.They did not return our call but sent an email stating that currently parts are taking up to 10 weeks to arrive. This is unacceptable the seat is uncomfortable and looks terrible. The other recliner cushion is also Starting to bunch. We are embrassed to show our family and friends our NEW $2000 sofa. We feel this sofa should be picked up and replaced or our money returned.***UPDATE*** Gustafsons picked up the sofa and promptly issued a credit. Although we were disappointed with the sofa, we are very satisfied with customer service and the quick resolution of the issue. Thank you!
I am so impressed with Gustafsons customer service! I recently had some issues with my couch and loveseat and the company they use for their protection plan, within 24 hours they have already set up for a cleaning company and a repair company to come and address my issues. Definitely recommend!
Buyer beware....The customer service after they have your money is ruthless. First of all, it took many months to get my mattresses. Once they were finally delivered, I was told they were now used and not returnable. No where on my bill of sale states, all sales final. Laurie, you were a disgrace to me and my friend who spent close to 6k at your store. Never again.
If you read the reviews you will notice a trend, no customer service after the sale. We have a Flexsteel item which is less than 6 months old, still under manufacturers warranty and it has issue. Gustafson tells us they do not do repairs, that we have call RISK a extended warranty company. Risk states they only complete extended warranty not manufacturers warranties. We have attempted 2 times to get this resolved, Gustafson both time stated they would get me to us, It is now 6 days from the second attempt and not a word from Gustafson. Do yourself a favor and purchase elsewhere.
My boyfriend and his family have been loyal customers with this place for years. My boyfriend decided to buy a new chair there and while in the purchasing process, everything was great! It was afterwards we had issues. My boyfriend bought the extended warranty and within a couple months the chair had broken. During the claims process he was jerked around by this company and their other one for warranties. When they did finally get someone out to look at the chair, he said he had to order parts for it which is fine. My boyfriend called the company a month later and no one ordered the parts for his chair! No one has even remotely tried to fix it. And today my boyfriend went into the store trying to talk to a manager and refused to leave till they did so. So the manager called the cops on them! What kind of messed up company does all this?? My boyfriend just wants his chair fixed or replaced. With the warranty it should be this hard. It’s ridiculous!!
We purchased a couch that had a mostly cosmetic issue. The store attempted to fix the problem, but due to covid, many items take a very long time to obtain, if they can get them at all. The store stepped up and sent a new couch. We were treated very well by the store and have some nice furniture.
We love the new sectional we bought from Gustafsons! Dana was more than a pleasure to work with. She was super friendly, informative and accommodating! We have always had stellar furniture purchasing experiences at Gustafsons and Dana made it even that much more enjoyable. The delivery guys were great too! They were on time, friendly, and professional. They even showed us how to put it together and take it apart for cleaning and moving as well. Overall great experience and highly recommend!
I went there a few years ago and tried supporting local businesses.We bought a leather sectional, and mattress and purchased the additional insurance.They don’t back their product. Worst customer services ever. It took at least 2 months for the owners son to call after I called several times. After going back and forth with them for almost a year later, they finally ordered a replacement. It came damage. Not once, but twice. The first time they order the wrong pieces and it was damaged when delivered. The second time they reordered, I never heard from them so I called about 4 months later to see when the sectional would be in. They NEVER ordered it!!!! When it finally came in it was damage too. I made sure to point out damages both times to the delivery guys and took pictures. When the mattress was delivered, a hole was was through the bottom box spring.After being frustrated for going through this for two plus years, I told them to come and get the sectional. They would not issue credit, I had to go through the finance company they used when we bought it. It was such a hassle, they agreed to give me the cash deposit we paid and replace the mattress. Once I received the refund. They would not replace the mattress.They were so unprofessional, and treated us like we damaged it even though the damage was noted at delivery and pictures taken.I will never go back!
Just wanted to say thank you to Gustafsons for helping with a recent issue on my mothers recliner/lift chair. When a part broke and the chair needed repair, we found that it will take several weeks for the new part to arrive. At 90 years old, this chair is not just a comfort it plays a huge part in keeping her healthy and in her home during COVID-19. Gustafsons stepped up with a loaner chair until hers can be fixed. This is one of the reasons we chose a locally owned family company. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Great affordable selection of furniture! We found the perfect sectional for our home at a great price. Dana was helpful, informative and allowed us to shop around freely yet was available when we had a question! Nice to support local business and get world-class service. We picked up our purchase and the staff made that such an easy experience!
I ended up at Gustafson’s after cancelling my order with Ashley furniture, and my only regret was not coming here in the first place! The manager, Lori, was AMAZING to work with and such a big help. Our mattress, bed frame, headboard etc. and our sectional couch were delivered within ONE WEEK. We are still waiting on a few other pieces that we ordered but we couldn’t be more happy with what we’ve received so far! If you’re trying to decide where to buy your furniture, this is your place! Just receive our Livingroom furniture today. I would have given 5 stars if not for the delay from the time we ordered at the end of November 2020 till May 19th 2021. I absolutely love our custom made Basset sofa, loveseat, 2 chairs, 2 ottomans and pillows! We are defiantly going to be shopping here again!! We worked with Mitch on choosing the fabrics and type of furniture. Both Mitch and Lori handled my calls to update the status of when our furniture was going to be delivered. I would recommend anyone of the staff member here. Friendly and professional! The delivery gentlemen set up the furniture and again were very professional!
We found a set we loved from here but we told the sales man Mitch we needed to go to one more store. He gave us his card and told us to take photos of prices and sets we liked at the other store and to return to see what he could do. We returned with a photo and price of a different set at the other store but we still liked Gustafsons set better. He ended up selling us the set we liked better, that was much higher in price, for the price of the other stores not so great set. We had a great experience here and I didnt even have to haggle hard like at other stores. Mitch is awesome and overall a great personality to talk to throughout the buying process.
We purchased a couch on January 9th to be made for us by their factory provider. Covid delays kept it so that we could only get it today. We picked it up from the store got it home and it didnt come with hind legs. So upon calling them we were informed that they never made sure they came with from the factory and then were told the only thing we can do is order it from the company and hve them make a new set and then hve it ships to us. Which again has no future date estimate. So a couch we paid in full in January apparently might not be useable until? No offer to unscrew some from a floor model just try and prop it up..... have you seen the price of wood these days?
My wife and I shopped here to support a local business during the pandemic and purchased a mattress back in OCTOBER. There was a complaint about the mattress we received due to a misunderstanding. I called back weekly to get an answer, every time I was told the issue was being discussed. It took until FEBRUARY to be told they werent going to discuss it anymore and nothing could be done. The salesman I worked with the entire time couldnt even call to tell me himself. Worst customer experience of my life!
Sales lady Pam is awesome! Really enjoy talking to her when we go in. Also Kim, a manager, is awesome. Had a few issues with an Ashley dining set I bought and she has always went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure we are happy! Great place to shop and love their deals!
Purchased a recliner here recently. It just came in. Its too soon to comment on the durability of the furniture, but it seems fine for now. Opted to pick up the chair with a friend and his truck. Was a bit nonplussed when it took over a half hour to get someone to help back at the loading dock, mostly because my friend with the truck had somewhere else to be. But overall, I was pleased with the no pressure sales process, and the furniture came in on order faster than Id expected.
Just bought a new mattress through Gustafsons the whole experience was awesome. Fran the saleswoman was very helpful, she knew what to look for as far as spine alignment while laying on a bed. She was honest and not pushy in any way. I love the discount area they have very nice beds and other types of furniture for pretty cheap. I will always come here for furniture before going anywhere else.
Love this place. Just not enough money to buy all that I want. Lol.very high end furniture and decor. Something for every room. The quality of care and attention I received from the sales people was remarkable. I observed a clean establishment that was wheelchair accessible with public restrooms. If needed they finance. This is a must shop when looking for furniture. Go and ask for Dana.We got our last furniture from a national store and it didnt last as long as we had hoped. At the suggestion of a friend we stopped into Gustafsons and were immediately blow away by how much selection they have. Dana was great to work with and was super patient in helping us navigate it all. In the end we got good furniture at a fair price and good terms. We will be back.
About 10 months ago, my wife and I purchased a new higher end Simmons king size memory foam mattress from Gustafson. We were pleased for many months until recently. We noticed that the memory foam that supported our bodies was breaking down and causing large body indentations which ultimately expressed discomfort and back pain. Last Saturday we made a visit to Gustafson to discuss our issue with the mattress. We met with Jamie (store manager) who demonstrated a very high degree of professionalism listening to our concerns with deep interest. With no time wasted, she directed us to meet with her mattress expert Greg Brooks. She then approved a complete even exchange with another high end mattress from another manufacturer. The only charge incurred was a delivery & pick up fee. We can see why this company has had such a stellar record of customer satisfaction for so many years. Thank you Jamie and Greg! We bought a leather couch and love seat. We also purchased the protection plan. When the couch was delivered the delivery men did not want to take it apart and scraped the arm rest of both the couches.Martin Gustafson sent out a repairman and fixed them in a timely manner. A little later one of the couches developed a 6” x 8” area where the stain came off. I thought, no problem, l will just call them and my protection plan will cover it. Well it didn’t. They gave some excuse which was not in accordance with what the salesman said. Every time I see it I feel badly about how I was treated and the waist of money for the protection plan that wasn’t. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Mitchell Johnson was an amazingly helpful and thoughtful salesman. He listened to all of our wants and needs and delivered in every way! Had an absolutely wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back and buy more furniture or just hang out with him! He is an outstanding guy!
My husband and I were in a bought a mattress Saturday and Our salesperson Pam was OUTSTANDING! From our initial greeting upon walking in the door to complete knowledge of their products and the final sale. We recommend this furniture store above and beyond great people and products! Worst customer service experience ever. I am beyond speechless to how my family and I were spoken to over having a question over a bed. Sales manager “Lori” yelled at me for asking how long a bed would take and to explain to me why I could not buy it that day. She spoke to us as if we were slow and incompetent and stormed off screaming “I’m done I’m done with you people.” I can’t even explain the situation without laughing. Most unprofessional environment. “There’s a shortage on raw materials!!!” Okay Karen we understand that’s not what we’re asking 😂. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER will NEVER be back and wish you bankruptcy!! & response to your response: as God is all our witness no one screamed or yelled in the store besides YOUR store manager to YOUR customers, feel free to check your cameras and see who walked off and stormed around waving their hands in customers faces and no one was persistent on price or taking the floor model we simply had a question, there was no talk about negotiations or anything and idk if loris meds wore off or if it was her menopause but she literally TWEAKED in front of everyone and you guys trying to play it off like the customer acted wrong is hilarious and goodluck selling anything 😂 I found a bed thank you for the concern & it was at ART VAN and they literally treated me so well. I wish you and Lori more sales and better days and sorry you don’t see how you behaved wrongly 😘🥰 literally CRAZY how she behaved, & she only behaved rudely after we spoke a LICK of another language. My husband and I have been going to Gustafson’s for over 10 years. We always request Mitch who is very knowledgeable and friendly.The furniture is outstanding quality at a low price. We have always received the very best customer service, quality furniture at a price much lower than expected. We are forever customers. Have sent friends and family. Everyone was pleased.
I was so impressed with the level of customer service. There was never any pressure to buy, but Mitch was willing to answer my questions and help me find exactly what I was looking for. As I was wandering the display floor looking at all of the options, I was able to observe how professionally a customer who came in with an issue with a previous purchase was handled. There is no doubt in my mind that if I have any concerns with my purchases, there with be completely resolved to my satisfaction. Gustafsons has found a new life-long customer in me!
Big selection!! Bigger than I had thought.. Many different price ranges also depending on your wallet. If your shopping for furniture differently check them out. No high pressure sales either. Greg helped us and he would come back every few mins to see if we had any questions and when we did he was very helpful.
We were greeted at the door. The sales representative showed us furniture that was to our liking. We were explaining all our options for purchase. When the furniture was delivered, the delivery guys were very professional. They put everything where we wanted it and even helped me lay area rugs. We will definitely be returning in the future to purchase items again.
We ordered 2 couches on January 1, 2018. We were told the couches would be delivered within 6 weeks, and likely before due to how many were already in the warehouse (over 200 as told by our sales rep). Today is April 4th and our last couch was just delivered. Throughout those 3 months we experienced horrible customer service, terrible communication, and even worse follow-up. We asked multiple times for someone in management or upper management to call us to discuss the delay in delivery date and we always had to keep calling back in order to get anyone on the phone. We paid in full at the time of sale and only after the last couch was delivered did someone from upper management (Jamie) call us, at which time she was unhelpful and unsympathetic. We strongly feel we were taken advantage of because we paid in full, so Gustafson’s was not concerned with handling us as important customers because they already had our money. This post is not to complain about a delay in delivery time it is to make people aware of their horrendous customer service. We were referred to this store by a long time customer of Gustafson’s and neither of us will do business with them again.David,Thank you for replying. I believe it is expectation that furniture gets delivered in perfect condition especially when it costs someone over $5000 and they paid you in full for it 3 months prior. The issue was that this furniture came way past its expected delivery date and we as the customer had to be the one to continuously follow-up to see what was going on each week. We called multiple times before we could ever get someone to call us back and even when we finally got someone on the phone there was no clear communication as to what the delivery date would be or where the couch was. Over the last month of waiting for the final piece of furniture we asked for an Executive team member to call us and this did not happen until after the last piece of furniture arrived so she could conveniently reiterate that now we had our furniture so everything should be fine. The “waived out of town delivery fee” you speak of was sold to us before we made our purchase by your sales rep as she knew how hesitant we were to even want to wait 4-6 weeks for our furniture. In the end we waited 14 weeks for our furniture, experienced very poor communication and never once were offered anything to make of for this large inconvenience.
I had a good experience with this store. Nick Heppner was really nice and respectful and took his time to help us find the right mattress. He also made sure we were happy with our purchase and he was super understanding with our budget and needs. Id highly recommend him!
We love this place we moved in April this year and we needed to update some furniture. We are so happy that Johnny was the to take care of us. We have been back a third time and we have spent a lot of money. There was another salesman that greeted us and then proceeded to follow is all over the place. Very annoying. Anytime we asked about a price he would say is what is on the the tag is what you pay. After about a half hour of him stalking its I asked if I could have my old salesperson. Thank God we switched. When we asked him about prices here would say I will see what I can do. Sometimes it was nothing and sometimes he could adjust. I guess it is just the way he went about it.If you need furniture go and see Johnny, I am sure he will take great care of you. We have spent over 6k with him. Going thing we were about to walk out because we were do unhappy with the other salesman.
Nice to go to a furniture store and not a warehouse. Mitch was awesome and very pleasent and helped me get the right mattress for my budget. Store well laid out with a nice variety. My only suggestion is to display the most inexpensive items the same as the top of the line as all customers should have the best experience.
This is a really nice furniture store with helpful, no pressure staff. We have bought from them a couple of times. Respectful and pleasant delivery personnel. The second purchase was a chair and a half with a second piece at 1/2 price, we chose a coffee table. Very good experience. Salesperson Cheryl ~ very pleasant to work with.
We had an excellent experience buying furniture at Gustafsons. The store is amazing! Fran Dittmer is the sales rep that helped us. She is without a doubt the best we have ever worked with. Fran was very knowledgeable about all of the items in the store and she saved us tons of money. It was a pleasure working with her. We love Gustafsons and we love Fran.
Gustafsons delivers on their customer service.We got we Mitch and he did a phenomenal job and helped so much. We got great deals and they made buying so easy. I would 100/10 recommend to anyone looking to buy another. Love this place I couldnt say it enough how good the service was and how good Mitch was. We tried other stores but some of the other stores mattress were dirty and didnt have as good as a selection. Would buy from here again any day.
I have been shopping at Gustafson’s for many years! Mitch has always been our salesman and we now consider him a friend! Great guy who is always friendly and eager to help. Mitch is very knowledgeable about their merchandise and I highly recommend him!So thankful Rockford still has a local place to shop for furniture and I hope that it will be around for many years to come!
Gustafsons Furniture is a Rockford staple who always has quality furniture and fantastic customer service. They have a wide variety of prices that fits with any budget. Just tell the sales staff what you want and your price range. No pressure. Their delivery service is a bit high but that staff is very professional, helpful and polite.
Working with an insurance company can be a very trying experience. We were privileged to work with Fran Dittmer at Gustafsons. She is very knowledgeable in the insurance aspect of unreasonable vs. reasonable and exceeded our expectations in assisting in selecting quality furniture within those guidelines. We have returned and also purchased a new bedroom suite for ourselves after 62 years of marriage! Fran is a good friend in helping customers make better and wiser choices when selecting new furniture in coordinating interior design. She knows colors, design, textures, and I highly recommend her. She is amazing and really works hard to give above and beyond service.
Was in the store Friday. The owner Dale Gustafson welcomed us to the store spoke with Dale for a few minutes. GREAT MAN! We were looking for a head board hooked up with Mitch (our go to guy), as always did us good. I picked the head board up Sat. The staff in Shipping department were great! Great store great people!
We went there last Friday found a power recliner for 659 my wife took a picture of it with the price. We went shoping around went back to the store and the price went up 200 dollars the sale person said it eas a pricing error and it shoyldnt have gone out to the sale floor with that price and they wouldnt honor it sayong sorry aboyt that never again we will shop there
Really enjoyed our visit to Gustafsons! The staff is really knowledgeable about their large selection of furniture. We traveled an hour to the store after looking in other stores in our area. We felt at home here and made our selection before leaving the store. Definitely will be a returning customer.
I was helped by 2 very caring ladies who felt to me as if Id known them! When I had told Jenny my likes of interest,as well as need in regard of budget she showed me around to the furnishings truly best suited for me!That she gave me variety of wonderful choices I felt her genuine care to accommodate both my likes as well budget need!Coming to my final decision was hard so it carried over to another day,she was very gracious through the long drawn out indecisive time with me! Then was Dana the other very gracious lady whom also had me as @ home with a good friend, in her genuine care to be helpful with me to inform of Jenny having to leave early! That shed be happy to assist me if Id like in finding what is best suiting for all my needs! We seriously talked like sisters in pleasantly chatting & she listened with caring response as I explained of my material need concern!
Our experience in the store was acceptable, nothing noteworthy but certainly not a bad experience. The process after the purchase was enough to make sure we never shop at the store again. Delivery is not customer friendly. And should you have a problem with the 2 hour window you are given (No say in the matter just given a time) be prepared to pay up! Everyone is happy to tell you what can not be done or what it will cost you to make sure your delivery is acceptable but not one person will provide customer service to make sure your experience after the sale is adequate. Pretty bad when you can say even Comcast gives better service options. Needless to say this will be our last purchase from this store and I encourage everyone who considers Gustafsons to think twice.
We bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress and 2 couches recently. Ricky was our salesman and he went above and beyond helping us to choose the right mattress. He also found the couches we were looking for and ordered them for us at a price that was way better than if we had bought them down the street. I recommend checking out Gustafson’s if your looking for new furniture.
Pam was a amazing sales lady that made my day. I just came to price check and just chatting with her and while walking around. I end up finding something that I wanted and needed to buy. Thanks Pam for making my day amazing! You all have a great employee and person on your team in Rockford.
I am not happy with my last purchase. I ask for a new soft bed but we tried one and way to hard. Traded in for a softer one but still way too hard. Unable to trade anymore. I have this for a few months and yet to sleep all night in it. I have been happy with all the other items I have purchased. Now I sleep on the recliner or couch. My mistake cannot afford another one at this time.
Very disappointed my husband & I came into your store to buy either a sectional or sofa and love seat. Told the sales guy we had a max of $1500-2k to spend. Right away he was showing us $3k items and saying he could probably get it down to our price range, after walking around with him I finally ventured off. Found a couple sofa sets we liked. My husband found the guy & asked him to see if it came in other colors. Told him I had to go to the eye dr across the street. Gave him our phone number to call with colors and price. He said he would look it up and get right back to us. He Never called. So my husband called him, he never got the info yet told my husband once again he’d go look it up and get back to him. Never did, So we went back into the store. The guy still hadn’t found out the info and didn’t seem to interested in helping us... but thanks went to crazy joeys and bought a new set for $1800 and got a free rug... guess we won’t waist our time going to your store ever again!
I have been on the fence about getting a new mattress for a very long time. Unsure of what I wanted and what I needed. I had visited Gustafsons 3 times before I made my final decision. Fran was very patient with me. She is very knowledgeable and made sure to answer every question I had. She made a point to involve my daughter in the process. Through all the hurdles she had my back. I bought a loveseat from Pam at the Riverside location. Pam was very thorough in understanding our needs and made a great recommendation for us! Great Selection, knowledgeable staff. Clean, organized sales floor, logical easy flow to the floor plan. I went here for the first time respondent to a sales ad on TV and had an AMAZING experience. You need to shop here, people. Even moreso when you do, lock elbows with Debbie M... She will ask all the right questions and educate you as well, completely solving your furniture needs.
We were very satisfied with the help/assistance Brandon Harding provided. He assisted us in choosing the furniture we were looking for. He was very professional and courteous. Been messing around with service dept for 7 months still no progress don’t think they really care about problems once u pay been getting runaround. Will never purchase another thing there have purchased a lot before but they won’t stand behind their products or seem to care avoid this place especially Ashley products
I visited Gustafsons with a friend in search of a living room set and she found some things that she liked and wanted to purchase some tables. Our sales associate Ryan was very rude and didnt want to work with us at all and got angry when we asked if he could do any better. He made rude comments including basically saying we couldnt afford the tables. If I ever come back to this store I will not work with Ryan again!
Went in to look around. Big store but they are closing this location down this year so there wasnt as much selection. Prices are higher than I was looking for but you are paying for quality. Nice sales people but I was not looking to buy, yet felt immediately pressured to. That is why I took off a star. Otherwise this place is amazing with a rotating selection and normally tons of options to choose from.
Just purchased a queen Serta mattress and box spring from their mix and match. The service at the store was great and everything was going well until it was delivered yesterday. The box spring has a 3 inch long x 1 inch wide tear where it was obviously banged hard against something. The store says that because the box spring was basically a giveaway with the mattress, they will not deliver a replacement to my house even when they are already in the area dropping off something else. I spoke with the store manager who said the owner refused to let them drop off a replacement. He said it would cost them $129 to deliver it...seems that they are confused between their overpriced delivery fee and the actual cost. Next time Ill look elsewhere.Just discovered the delivery guys put in the bolts holding the frame to the headboard backwards. The long ends of the bolts were poking into the box spring and would certainly have made a couple more holes if I hadnt fixed it. For the highest delivery fee around, it seems reasonable to expect the bed to be set up properly.
Our family have all shopped here for many household needs.... Elise and Gustafsons have bin oustanding....her expertise and helpfulness have gone above expectations and also saved us plenty....thankyou much...well worth the drive to go here...ask for Elise.Over my years i have dealt with all kinds of sales pitches and persons...Elise has bin truly the best ...and Gustafsons has a focus on quality ...Put the two together and its a win win for you.
I cant believe the deal I received on a mix and match set. From the commercials it said the mix and match sets start at $99, which at first I thought it was just a marketing scheme to get people into the store, but they hold true to their advertisement and they dont have one or two mix-match sets but at least 50 on display! Overall, great store and selection will definitely return in the future.
Came in to ask about office furniture. Was told to go to another establishment right away. When asking if they had any office furniture at their location, hesitantly, he said no just in a catalog. I asked to see the selections. Not one question asked. Not a single greeting. Not a word on the way down the hall to the catalog. I wouldnt care to re-enter Gustafsons. Sorry to bother you!
My salesperson was super helpful and willing to work on prices to get me the best deal, the reason I dont give them the 5 stars is when we arrived to pick up my items I purchased the two gentleman that came to load the items into are vehicle werent very friendly, when we tried to help they told us to let them do their job, proceeded to run the cart into the truck which is what we were trying to avoid. Other than that very Happy with my purchases
**UPDATE** Within a week I spoke to a manager named Mitchell about my experience. The store apologized profusely and gave me a great deal on the items I was originally going to purchase. The atmosphere in the store was different and the rest of the staff was more helpful which leads me to believe the management took my concerns seriously.**Original EXPERIENCE: I was completely ignored. Even when I looked at the sales people they turned away. No one acknowledged me or even said hello. The store was not busy. When I went to the desk to ask for help every person the receptionist asked said they were too busy and walked away. (If they had customers I did not see them) The worst part was when my 8 year old who was with me said hi to one of the sales people he deliberately turned his head and did not respond. I had planned to make a large purchase today but now I will spend the week looking at other stores in the area.
We always find exactly what we want here and the customer service is top notch. The last two times we shopped there, once for a bed and the other for living room furniture, we had the pleasure of working with Brandon. I can be very indecisive, but Brandons knowledge makes the narrowing down and decision process very easy. I cannot recommend this store and Brandon enough.
Sadly I went there looking for a mattress for a spare bedroom and their selection of their mismatched mattresses was less than impressive. This really upset a because they always have advertisements on television about how they sell these mismatched bedroom sets and their selection sucked!
I have brought plenty of things from these locations even sent my friends to the store but today was a disappointment the staff was rude and the guy didn’t understand what I was looking for the lady Kim always get me what I need for my budget. Kim not there I will not be returning.
We had a wonderful experience at Gustafson’s with Mitch providing us with just the right amount of help we needed and not making us feel overwhelmed with his presence. Our experience was so great that after doing some research about the dining room set we wanted to purchase I called Mitch back to give Gustafson’s the opportunity to price match and they were happy to accommodate me without making me come back into the store which I really appreciated. We will definitely be using Gustafson’s for our future furniture needs. So THANK YOU for doing your job just perfect you made our furniture shopping experience fantastic.
Jenny helped us get what we wanted with out a hassle. We started out at a different store and it was a very big pain. So when we stopped at Gustafsons we thought it was going to be the same but Jenny was very pleasant and understanding. We got what we wanted and are very happy.

2022-03-05So far so good. Purchased a new reclining sofa. A little pricey but then Flexsteel isnt your typical bargain basement brand. Negotiated a fair price and only have the delivery time frame and sofa condition to further review when the time comes.

2022-04-19Bought a recliner from American Freight Furniture last week for 600 dollars, I have had it 4 days and its broke. The local store did nothing but insult me, as well as corporate. Customer service was terrible and left me with a 600 dollar recliner thats broke after a week.I decided to see what Gustafsons had today, and I am so happy I did! Upon walking into the store, I was greeted by Janet. She was warm and friendly, welcoming me into the store and immediately trying to learn of my needs and reason for visiting the store. I told her what I wanted, shown several recliners and left with one that only costed me 762 with tax and warranty. Love this recliner! Its built good and the quality difference from the junk I bought at American Freight Furniture, is so much more, for just a couple hundred dollars more.Ive bought almost everything from these folks in the past 10 years, almost $10,000 worth worth my bedroom furniture! Ive never had an issue! I went to American Freight Furniture because of my budget, being recently divorced I didnt think I would be able to find anything within my budget at Gustafsons. I was incredibly wrong! Ill never go anywhere again! If you need furniture, see Janet and be willing to spend just a bit more than what you would somewhere else! Youll be glad you did, I am, but now I have to find something to do with this garbage recliner from American Freight.Thank you Janet! 2022-02-28We bought a $4,000 Englander sectional, hoping it would be a long lasting piece for our home. The sectional took forever to come it but it was during Covid so it was understandable. Once we received the sectional it almost immediately started to pull and after just one month the thing looked liked trash. When we called they said the fabric wasn’t part of the warranty but they would do us a favor and replace it. We went in and selected new fabric. The sales woman assured us that, that never happens and it had a be a bad spool of fabric. She reassured us that this new fabric would hold hold up. Many months later the new sectional came. It had different tags and a different warranty than the other. That was puzzling, but it looked like the same couch. Unfortunately that fabric didn’t hold up and now the cushions themselves are also frumpy. It sticks to siege that much money and so much time on furniture only to feel how we feel. I wouldn’t pay $1,000 for what we have. Very frustrated and extremely let down from our local spot. I would absolutely go somewhere and save your money!!!!

I couldnt be happier with my purchases good quality and American made furniture! I absolutely love the sectional sofa that me and my Husbands purchased, it is not only durable but quite stylish goes with our color palettes in our home! Not only is the furniture is of quality but they understand everyones personal needs like my father for example purchased a Lazy Boy chair with a lift and at first he was hesitant but the sales people at Gustafsons explained how comfort is the upmost importantance when it comes to ones health and since then my Father has enjoyed but also found a better quality of life because of the assistance that the Lazy Boy Chair lift has given him, I know I should have probably written a stellar review sooner but people gotta know what amazing rapport you have with each customer. People gotta know when their purchasing something from Gustafsons that their purchasing a promise of local quality furniture that will complement and be a part of their lives, and me and My husband and my family are quite proud be Gustafson customers for life! :)

I have never been to a furniture place where they learned and remembered your name, which made my husband and myself feel like they actually take the time to get to know their customers. Franchesca Fran is amazing!!! She went above and beyond to take good care of my husband and I when we were having trouble deciding on a bedroom set. You could tell she truly cares about her customers to want them to be absolutely happy with their purchase. She took the time to listen and coordinated appropriate furnishings within our budget to what my husband and I were looking for exactly. Fran was very professional and kind. She was always available in helping us with any questions we had and was just extremely helpful and supportive throughout the whole furniture shopping process. She kept us frequently well informed of the status of the furniture and when the furniture would arrive. She made this entire process fun and yet painless! Assembly was surprisingly fast,... but very very well done! The set-up crew made sure everything looked perfect to my liking before leaving. I never felt pushed or rushed into making decisions from day 1 to the final set-up. I feel like the all around standards are kept high at this store; everything ranging from good communication to great quality furnishings. 2022-01-25We ordered a sofa early 2020. It was a broken down mess is 6 months. Gustafons gave us a credit for a new sofa and we bought a different drank sofa in late 2020. It took a long time to be delivered (because of covid). When it was delivered, 3 months later the zipper busted out of the cushion. We called again, they turned it over to the warrantee comp. That was March of 2021. After all this time 1-24-22 the repair company came out to fix it with out the cover.comp came out to fix with out the new cushion.

2021-11-16New to town and not sure where to go to get a quality mattress. We looked at Benson Stone and Gustafsons. Both carry Stearns & Fosters, Price was the same at both stores for the exact same mattress since S & F doesnt make a model for each store under a different name as other brands do. Having had a S & F mattress we have been pleased with we decided to upgrade to a King size. We are not big or oversized people. The Firm was perfect for us. Since they are made in USA we were quoted 3-4 weeks. At 4 weeks we got a call to schedule delivery. The sales person didnt have to sell us on anything. We basically walked in and ordered the mattress and paid. We chose Gustafsons because they do offer old mattress removal ($25) which Benson stone does not. The delivery fee is high at both places in my opinion, regardless of where you live, if that helps. Seamless transaction. I did not realize no returns or exchanges until after we paid and read the receipt.Fingers were crossed that Firm would work for us, luckily it did! Delivery guys without masks did not disclose whether they were vaccinated so I asked them prior to allowing them to enter my home. Would shop here again in the future.

2021-07-30We’ve been long time customers of Gustafson’s, my recent experience while shopping for a furniture set was one of the most ridiculous experiences yet.. I won’t go into detail as I don’t want to give them another minute of my time. While I understand the economy and the delivery delay is out of their control (which was not my issue), their poor customer service is 100% on them.The place has gone downhill, go elsewhere unless you want to be caught up in a never ending circle of lies. Give your hard earned money to someone who appreciates it and treats you well. We will never shop here again. Gave 1 star because I had to in order to leave the review.

2021-12-12I decided years ago Gustafson was one of the worst to do business with. At the time they were on Riverside, and the owner and his wife were the ones I did business with, the sons had not taken over yet. I paid $1000 down on a Kincaid cherry wood bedroom set. Never got it. After being told for over a year by the wife that the bed set was being produce everytime I called but never got it. I found out later Kincaid would not allow Gustafson to sell their furniture period. I had to ask and got my money back without interest, mind you. I felt as though I was being scammed , and judging by the reviews I see their business practices has not changed.I went to Ingrassia and got the set in less than four months. Now I need a new mattress, guess Ill be shopping for it on Amazon. I have not been in Gustafsonsince and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. I would give them a zero score
