Hidden in the back of a subdivision in the edge of the woods. The park has been refurbished with all new hardware and bathrooms. They have picnic tables so outside lunches are fun. The kids had a blast.
This park has equipment for younger kids (1-4 years) and older kids (5+), which is really nice for families with multiple kids. There is a lot of shade, but that also means there are a lot of bugs.
Both my kids love summer camp and we love growing trees during the school year!!
Nice place to walk dogs, especially little trail through woods. Weve seen chipmunks n squirrels n deer, so dogs love it. But not in summertime when the kids from the day camp are running about and screaming so loud, you dont see any animals.
On really hot days, the fountains outside the pool entrance is a very nice feature.
Great clean park. Many soccer fields to play in, also two basketball courts, and a tennis court. Theres a hiking trail around the park, as well as a kiddie park and such. Next to it theres a large aquatic center as well as a gym.
Beautiful lovely and clean. Much to do for the whole family. Get memberships and have a plethora of options.
The first one I went to Gurnee Park District it was horrible bumblebees whats crazy someone had a birthday party and they left it Saturday morning fealty garbage everywhere

Beautiful, bustling community center with a lot going on. I was so impressed at how clean the facility was and the toddler open gym was really fun!

This gym is low-key, easy-going and perfect for a simple workout. The facility is always clean and well-maintained. We always enjoy going here.
Services are high quality and vast in their variety. Programs are well organized and the volunteer staff are well equipped to help the programs.Facilities are clean and well kept. Fields and equipment are kept in good working order. Great organization that is really helping the community.Missed a 5 star due to the horrendous online registration process. Very difficult to navigate and use. Please update so I can give you the 5 stars you deserve!

Very clean and friendly. Plenty of machines for everyone. The walking track is free if you dont want to purchase a membership, but want use an indoor track💞

Gym is super clean and the staff is very friendly. The gym is never too crowded, even during peak hours, so I can always use what equipment I want to use during my time there.

Great value for convenience. Though the weight machines are a bit limited, if you get creative, you can find what you need. And your gym membership includes FitNation so if youre looking for that type of gym, you can go there as an alternative. Even at the most crowded times, Ive never had to wait for a treadmill and there is a nice (although small) indoor track. Everything is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Exactly what I would expect from GPD.

2022-07-04Staff is very friendly. Lifeguards are very conscious of what they are there to do. For as young as they are, they seem to be there to work and not to play lifeguard. There is a lot for a young child here. We bring our 1yr grandson as well as our 2 1/2 yr old. They love it here. Pre teens seem to have fun as well with family and friends on slides and pool.

2021-07-17We love the park. Good $$$ value, not too crowded, built in breaks to get your kids out of the water, and a fun concession stand. Whats not to love?

2021-06-15Crowded on weekends, its a fun place to enjoy pool on warm days. They have showers and restrooms. Youll most likely get sick the first time as there are kids of all ages in the water from 0 ft to 14 ft. Body will get used to that amount of filth eventually.

2018-11-20We were in the area for our sons graduation from Navy RTC, and I wanted a pretty spot to snap some pictures of him in his uniform. We decided we would go here. It was a pretty little park, it was nice and spread out so we were able to find some areas not crowded to take some pictures. They also had a little pond there with a fountain that worked out well. I would have added some pics, but since they are more of my family and not the park I decided against it. Next time I am in the area I will grab a pic of the actual park.

2016-06-27Specifically reviewing the outdoor aquatic center. They have plenty of room/chairs with shade, nice grass to lay out on. They have lots of shallow areas and a slide for little kids. They have fun slides for the older kids. The staff is nice and professional.
