Always had a good experience here, location is clean, staff is friendly, and if there’s anything out of stock they’re very quick to check into what’s available in the back or let me know when someone’s coming in. Top-notch service.
They keep raisng their prices from one day to next, im about to start shopping at HiLo Grocery and Walmart for food! Alot of people feel this way!!
Meat sale was a joke with a rude male butcher! 25 cents off gas per $50...I spent $100 on meat and got .08 off gas

I was in the pharmacy to get my 3rd Moderna booster shot. I didnt have an appointment but was told I could wait. I filled out the papers, turned them in and was the 3rd person called. The pharmacist who gave me the shot was good. I waited 20 min. & got my shot record back. It took about 45min.or less, start to finish. Everyone should stop making excuses and just get the shot! Then life can get back to normal for everyone.
Prices are a bit High. High-quality items. Well trained and very polite staff. They used to have really great frozen vegetables package before the covid-19. I wish they bring them back
The guy bagging up the groceries had better customer service than the kid, checking us out.

This Hyvee is normally busier, and hard to find a stop to park. The day I came in last week I walked inside and there were zero carts inside and nobody seem to be getting them, I watch so many walk out that day and just leave!
Love that it got so much different variety in the store very nice pleasant clerks wish were I lived we had a hy vee store I used to shop there quite often like there restaurant love it prices are pricey but good bargains as well,
This is a good regular Hy Vee.Pros:-Fresh Produce-Good looking reheat fresh food-Polite Staff-Fresh bakery foods-Great stock for a small locationCons:-This is a small Hy Vee, no prepared cut chicken, Italian sausages (great for homemade pizzas), or other similar itemsI recommend this Hy Vee over the other Hy Vee in Galesburg and Walmart.
I was bothered that only one cashier lane was open. I think it is a disservice to your customers and elderly to want them to check themselves out with $400 worth of groceries. I completely understand the labor shortage but I try to avoid Walmart they are rude and tell herd you to self check out I reduse unless its a couple items. Please rethink self check out and staff more cashiers .
Hyvee has great meat and vegetables. Bakery is the best around
Its a good place to shop the people who work there always help me to find things if I need them .the deli food is mostly good what I have tried .the prices are pretty good in line with other stores and if you got a good memory you can go here for the things that are cheaper here this week then there .and save money that way .but all in all this time it was pretty good ....except the pharmacy .my wife got out of ICU that day I waited for a couple hours to go get her meds .I waited in line for a good half hour was told it would take a half hour to complete .I came back 40 min. Later had to wait at the window with people walking around right in front of me and nobody said a thing to me for a good 5 min . I waited again for about 15 minutes untill they came over and said that they had 3 and I would have to come back tomorrow for the rest and still had problems the next day . Im sorry if they are over ran and so busy . But if they need some help back there then they ought to get it . The prices we have to pay for our meds . We ought to be treated like royalty instead of like were intruding on their terf or something

Prices higher than most stores in the area but convenient and easy to get in and out quickly. Good vegan food options in both vegetable cooler area and freezer section.
Pricier than other grocery stores in town yet the quality of the meat is the only difference.
There ready made food counter seem to be very busy and popular. From time to time they offer grilled meals or buffet style meal, but the price ($$$) has gone up considerable. Thats cheaper to eat at home then to participate in meal warm and read it to go.

The service was not very friendly.The food was horrible.The flat bread pizza was hardWe wasnt told if drinks came with the $12.99 Buffet, so we had water.My son definitely paid to much for the Buffet.

I was there twice today and both times the shelf was empty of the 2 things I went for. I went to the other store and it was the same thing. Dont advertise if you cant stock the item!
Most of the time I enjoy getting my food already cooked from HyVee this time the rice was undercooked the meat was overcooked couldnt chew it their tenderloins looked good but as they say looks can be deceiving because they were rubbery and could not eat them as well but as for shopping at Hy-Vee people that work there are nice.

Hy-Vee was a good visit. There was a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The prices reasonable, variety in the bakery, convenient location, clean and friendly staff.
Wanted yogurt and they were stocking it. The man handed me 2 and they were hot. I asked how long they had been out and he told me since 7am. It was 10:30 when I asked, so they had been out 3.5 hours!!!
My gf and I never go to Hy-Vee. We shop at Fareway and Aldi. But we decided to shop here and it paid off. We got a lot of discounts and sales and the customer service was fantastic. Just as good as Fareway staff. Meat department at Hy-Vee was great and polite staff. It was very busy and there were lines of people in every aisle but the staff was quick and accurate. I will be back to this location!
I brought a prescription to the pharmacy yesterday(3/1/21) and was told it would be ready today. I go in to pick it up just to find out the woman that told me it would be in today didnt even order it, so now I have to wait until Tomorrow(3/3/21). Im glad I dont depend on this medication to keep me alive. Will be switching pharmacys after this.
Lots better than yesterday. Stood in line forever, finally backing up, and putting groceries back on the shelf and walking outOnly issue today...register wouldnt work so had to move groceries to another check-out lane!!!!!

I bought donuts on 23rd of April....They were the best donuts I have ever had from Hy-Vee... Very thick and moist,almost with no holes...They were extremely delicious....I hope they keep on making them this way. I will buy them often instead of once in awhile....Great job to the bakers...
Erin was very friendly and helpful, I was thinking out loud/talking to my toddler about the items I was looking for and she happened to walk by and went to look on a different aisle for them. Then came back and helped me look for the rest of the items for a specialized recipe Im making. She went above and beyond to make my shopping experience easier today.
I got a two piece chicken and mash potatoes with corn. And it was cold and the chicken and corn was dry. I will never get there food again

Whos the genius that decides to rearrange the whole store?Were in a pandemic and now people have to wander around 3 times longer than usual to find items. People prefer convenient over confusion. You may as well take down your mask requirements as you dont enforce it anyway.
They are great for choices! Definitely a lot of choices! The store does seem to need some organization because if youre not familiar with it youll look forever for simple items. No one stopped and asked if I needed anything either.

This Hy-Vee store was very clean and organized and had great customer service. We camped at Lake Storey and needed a few items, which were easy to find, and we were in and out in only minutes.

Great store with friendly employees. Only wish they didnt close their express at 7pm every night - especially weekends and holidays. Have asked several times why the express lane is closed and have been told by several employees it closes at 7pm every night. Wonder why?
Wonderful pharmacist yesterday. Had my senior flu shot. Help desk personnel very helpful getting my gas saver card figured out. Clean store with nice restaurant and was able to get everything I needed. Would recommend.
Decent store that is showing its age
My family and I went to get some Chinese for dinner at 6pm. The person working there, Tim, saw us and scoffed loud enough for all of us to hear. The food tasted like it was 2 hours old. The guy had no idea what he was talking about. We wanted General Chicken, which they had, and he said that he was out of it. Seriously not impressed. I work in costumer service at Culvers and I would never scoff in front of people.
Hyvee tends to be higher priced than other options in town which is the only reason they are a 4 star rating. The produce and meat departments are the best. It is well stocked and easy to find what you are looking for.
Wish I had this store closer to where I live! Love earning has discounts and when there is a sale on things I need its a good sale! Also they make best taco pizza for takeout! I miss Hy-Vee when camping season is over!!!
Well when I went to Hy-Vee the other day it was about like going Hy-Vee any other day. Pretty uneventful I must say. but I will give the Hy-Vee one thing they got that helpful smile in every aisle.

Im so happy Galesburg HyVee put in self checkouts! I am always stressed about a stranger touching each & every piece of food/produce I buy. Was that young person out with their friends the night before without a mask? Id rather check & bag my own stuff, plus I shop for my 95 year old Father so Im extra cautious!! Skipping contact with a cashier is another layer of safety!! Thanks HyVee!!
Close to the hotels and interstate. Friendly staff. Easy to get help finding things if needed. A tiny bit higher price than Walmart or Aldis, but well worth it for the better experience.
All young cashiers had their masks on their chins. Looked ridiculous and obviously offered no protection to customers and staff...Sunday noon

Hy-Vee is a great grocery store chain in the region. While they may not have the lowest prices on everything, they do offer good quality meat and produce, and have an awesome deli and cafe. I cannot go by a city with a Hy-Vee in it without stopping for one of their excellent breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches. I have tried them everywhere and Hy-Vees wins hands down as the best tenderloin I have ever had. A must try. Also grab yourself some regionally available Sterzings potato chips while youre there. You wont be disappointed.
I just want to say that tonight I had a very positive experience at your store. I usually always do because everyone is so friendly and helpful but tonight as I was checking out my daughter grabbed a sucker at the end of the checkout and I told her she had to put it back because we already paid for our groceries. When we were getting our stuff put into the cart and young gentleman that was bagging groceries in the next Isle went and grabbed one of the suckers and paid for it with his own money and gave it to my daughter and oh boy was she one happy 3 year old. I just was completely shocked because he definitely didnt have to do that at all and it was so sweet of him. I wish I would have gotten his name because I definitely think he deserves for you guys to know what he did. He was a young guy and was bagging groceries in Isle 3 and it was just a little before 6. I also told the manager about it. I hope you can look in your system and figure out who he was and please tell him I said thank you again

There is a smile in every isle, plus someone there to help you find what items you are looking for. Great meat selection, fresh vegetables plus its a great place to eat a meal. I would classify Hy-Vee as your one-stop grocery store that gets you home with a full cart and completed grocery list.
Great selection here. Clean place. Deli and buffet was exceptional and surprisingly quite large! Only thing that bothered me was the young male cashier seemed distracted and even annoyed by my large cart of items.

I love Hyvee not only for the fuel saver but they have friendly employees that dont hide when you need help, they also have great deals and smiling faces who great you as soon as you walk in the door! You will have my business for life!
They want you to check out yourself they have closed check out lanes, look for another place to shop. FAIRWAYS in Monmouth is good.
My dad had to have an ambulance called from the parking lot of hyvee. The staff was friendly, concerned, and understanding for our predicament. They kept me company while I panicked, and stored my groceries in the refrigerator until they were able to be retrieved. I have NEVER found such a positive reaction before, and Im grateful.Now a review for the actual store. I love HyVee shopping. They have almost everything, my favorite sections are for soup and fresh fruit. It definitely IS always fresh produce.

I really want to like this store and I still go sometimes. During our last visit, it was obvious they had sprayed the produce section with a chemical aerosol insecticide. It smelled horrible and chocked me a little. This is opposes to the abundance of gnats in that section on other visits. The produce sections at both stores in Galesburg are terrible. We drive all the way to Peoria for produce. The rest of the store is good, except the deli where they preslice meats and cheeses and leave them out day after day. We go to Wal-Mart to get deli meat when we need it because they slice it fresh there.
Its fine. Friendly staff. About what you might expect at another retail grocery chain. Not wild about the prices though. Dont buy that about their being employee-owned as being any sort of advantage.

Prices are a little higher here than they are at places like Big Lots, Wal-Mart, or Aldis. The staff is fairly unorganized which makes many of their services (mailing, check out, etc) a hassle from time to time. There are a few items there that are exclusive to HyVee which is nice but it is not always worth the price.
They deserve a zero or less in my opinion. My son had an interview today and was crushed by the comments made by the woman interviewing him. He recently decided to GED and join the military...applied at this store for work until he finished his testing. The woman told my son they only hire people who take their education seriously then continued to tell him politely how he wasn’t going to be successful. Well, they lost customers for life with attitudes like that. She should be reprimanded or fired for treating a human being that way! I have a feeling the corporate office will be hearing from me and many people who are outraged by her inappropriate comments.

Clean store. Has a small organic section and small natural foods selection. They have a fuel savers program, but it is usually in highly processed and/or sugary food. Also nice deli area for a quick bite.

The selection keeps getting smaller as more n more items are coming in. Its a bit overwhelming when trying to choose what brand or kind you want. Also, still have problems locating the items since the last remodel.
HyVees bakery department is wonderful! Their products are delicious and their decorating skills are wonderful. They also have absolutely fantastic service. Recently I had a cake order in at another bakery three weeks ahead of when I needed it. I got a call from this other bakery the day before saying they couldnt get my cake. I called HyVee and asked if they could do it. They said they would and it would be ready when I needed it.The cake was beautiful and delicious. HyVee also rectifies any mistakes and go above and beyond in making sure youre happy. Thank you, HyVee!
Ate breakfast today, Pop was completely flat like watered down syrup and biscuits and gravy was cold and tasteless. The silverware was filthy and counter with pop and condiments was grossly dirty (tables were dirty) wont eat there again!!🤨

All the employees at Hy-Vee on Henderson are so sweet and helpful! It is rare and truly wonderful to still be able to go to a grocery store and feel like youre at home , like youre welcome, as well as feel youre valued. Five stars is my vote all day long!!

The watermelons were rotten and had flies everywhere around them. When I told the manager he looked not surprised, and non chalantly said Ill get someone to fix it. Other than that everything was fine.

An employee approached me and said Havent you already been down this isle?... Made me feel uncomfortable, felt he should have approached it differently. The soda I had gotten was busted so I had to go back down the soda isle to get another.
It’s a decent Hy-Vee for a older one. Staff is friendly and the store is clean. Parking lot is to bad and it’s easy in and out.

Shop closer to home. Pick up one or two things when required instead of regular, full cart shopping. Take advantage of mail service occasionally. Buy flowers/plants there occasionally.

Always friendly people and the management is always willing to help with local sports teams fundraising. They also help provide employment to alot of local teens and are willing to work around school and sports schedules. Hyvee is very community oriented!
Ive seen better HyVees, but this one is decently stocked, with employees that usually are efficient and know what they are doing. The produce is mosty fresh, but occasionally lacking in quality.

My hometown grocery store that will always have a special place in my heart. Its a grocery store so I dont know how one really can rate those 5 stars, but this Hy-Vee deserves it.
HyVee has a great selection of produce. On many occasions when I’m in a hurry to cook and I’m able to run to HyVee and get pre-chopped onions and peppers along with many other prepared produce. This definitely helps in a time crunch. Just recently HyVee started online order and delivery services. You also have an option of order and pickup. They also provide a fuel saver program to save money at the pump.
In and out. Clerks were very polite. I assume assistant managerattire looked rumpled like she slept in her clothes but was polite.

It is a supermarket that is just the right size for a senior like me to get around in & yet they seem to have everything.
So clean and organized with a wonderful variety of goods to offer. Their eat in cafe is super nice well worth a visit.

Great place to shop with a food court. Slightly pricey if you want name brands but off brands are an option also.
Its not as good as it used to be and the Italian area the pizza is usually way too done

2022-04-25Shout out to the bakery department!!! The crew at the HyVee Bakery department really shine! So much so that weve come to rely on their excellent baking skills and have used their services several times over the years. Recently I came to them (like 15 minutes before they closed) and asked for a custom cupcake job for my sons birthday party for his classroom. For the next day! And they happily took the order! More importantly, from my soon to be 10 yr old! He said he wanted something with cats. Kim and Jody worked with him until he was extremely happy! He later told me everyone loved the delicious cupcakes and commented how cute the pictures of the cats were!Denise impressed me when I came back to order a cake for his actual party and again so easy to work with.Totally impressed with these folks and their work is exceptional!

2022-05-10The self checkout lines still require more help than the cashier lines. I dont see the point in having self checkout if an employee is needed to come help you with every other item that gets scanned.

2022-02-01My boyfriend just went to pick up his fathers meds.. they werent ready ..when he and I inquired about delivery to his father in Oquawka IL he was told that is to far and they dont cross state lines...um excuse me last I looked Oquawka was still in IL and was referred to see if Burlington Iowa would delivery there ....THATS CROSSING THE STATE LINE... was also told they delivery to Kewanee which is 45 minute drive from here and Oquawak is only 38... his parents cant get out.. cant drive and NEED the prescription so how does this even make sense? Then to top it off the clerk was extremely rude to him and the pharmacist would not even looking at him when addressing him where is that helpful smile that you so strongly promote.. I do know who the clerk is but refuse to tell on here Samantha the store manager if you want to contact me I will let you know.. I am also appalled by who this was ...but this is the poorest example of customer service I have ever experienced

2022-02-02I wish they was open 24 hrs again. Because I live out of town and work 2nd shift (till 10-10:30) and the store closes at 11pm. Cant get all my groceries that is needed for home.

2022-04-21I use to shop here all the time til they changed the store around, now you cant find anything, and they dont have the fuel saver as often as use to or changed the days (somethin) so I only go when have to...
