Have always gone here but the past few times Chel has done my hair. I CANT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT HER. She makes it exactly how I like it with no bumps in my fades! Definitely recommend this location!!!
Poor result. When you express to not cut too short as hair is light and won’t lay properly you would think a person in this profession would understand how to cut your hair. Unfortunately she was far from even close to a correct cut. Worst cut I believe I’ve had in years and normally my description is more than sufficient for a properThis time it’s not even in the parking lot of a ball park. TerribleEdit: Informed my family to avoid this location to find out my son had the same bad experience from past from this location.Manager caught his poor cut and and with out asking did not charge him.
Wanted a shorter cut & was advised that my hair needed to be more healthy. Looked like she cut a lot off (as she was cutting) but doesnt look or feel as if she cut any. I had to attend my daughters wedding & was not pleased with the cut. I gave her a generous tip however am not happy with this cut & will probably NOT go there again.
I feel bad leaving this review, because the lady that cut my hair was so sweet. At the end of the day, it is completely uneven and looks like she just hacked at it with scissors. Do not go there. I tipped her $15 on a terrible haircut because she was so nice. Unfortunately, cutting hair is not her strong suit.
I could have got a better cut at a dog groomer! E. Peoria great clips better hire someone that knows how to cut hair! Pathetic!

I came in to get my hair cutI told her how I wanted it cut n even showed her a picture of how I wanted itI told her to leave it shoulder lengthAnd layer the back n make the top shorter so I could feather it backWhen she got done it was not shoulder length as it barely covered the back of my neck and the top was so short it is barely able to do anything with n also the cut is not even on the sides as one whole side is longer than the other side n then I has to ask for senior discountI will not be back for any reasonThis was done by a girl on the right side in the middle and she had dark hair with blondeShe really needs to go back to school

Checked in online and they were waiting for me when I pulled up. In and out in 20min. Id definitely use the online check in again and be back.
Friendly and courteous staff. Clean facility. Had a pretty inexperienced stylist and ended up with a chop job.
Wait time isnt usually long even if you dont check in online but in order to save time I would still recommend checking in online if possible. Staff is quick at getting guests checked in. They are also great at listening to guests and accommodating needs.
I was a walk-in with no appointment. I was cheerfully greeted when I entered. I was seated quickly. And price is great.

I have been one of their satisfied customers for 5 plus years now. Once you find the right barber/stylist, one who listens to ywhat you want, you will receive a good cut. Several of their barbers/stylists have done a good job for me during these past 5 years.
Walked in to all stylists busy, with no one waiting in front of me. While I was waiting for a stylist 2 online checkins showed up after me. Bumping me down to 3rd even though i was physically there first. Will never go back again if that is their policy. Sub-par haircuts that need corrected as well

Really experienced staff and super friendly stylists! Love going here! Where else do you get a hearty Welcome whenever you walk in? I get my hair cut at Pekin and East Peoria Great Clips and both staffs are so friendly. The manager Toni cuts the Mayor of East Peorias hair and everyone knows that you get a great haircut when you go there! I use their online check in before I go, on my phone. Hardly ever a wait except once in a while on Friday afternoon.
The East Peoria Great Clips has everything I need. Great Prices & coupons for haircuts and hair products. An easy to use app so I can check in anytime throughout the day to fit my busy schedule. The stylist are very friendly & actually keep a record of each clients hair style(s) preferences. I typically use the East Peoria location due to its proximity to my office, but with several other locations in Pekin, Peoria, etc I can hit any Great Clips I want to match my current schedule & location. Absolutely love Great Clips & highly recommend them.

Took my son it for a short cut. It looked awful. You could see all uneven razor cuts throughout it. I had to go home and try to fix all she messed up. Will not go back there again.
I went to this location on 02/11/18 about 10am for a shampoo and a haircut. I asked for an asymmetrical bob to be at the nape of my neck with the front being longer. Also to have the back stacked. I even showed a picture of what I wanted. I got the back stacked but the front is the same length as the back. The front comes down to the bottom of my ears. It is even shorter when it is curls (which my hair naturally is). I mentioned this to the stylist and instead of an apology I received a terse response of it is longer in the front and then she continued to cut it even shorter! I couldnt do anything more about it so I asked if she could blow dry it straight. She dried the front but the back was still wet. Instead of using a round brush to blow dry she used a regular brush so my hair was puffy. I also asked if she could flat iron it (to diminish the puffiness)but she wanted to charge an additional $25. I declined that because I felt that was ridiculous. So I had to leave the store, run to walmart to buy a flat iron, and then run to work to straighten my hair so I could look presentable. The stylists demeanor, attitude, and divisiveness of my concerns was extremely upsetting. Also her lack of listening skills. I like Great Clips as a company but I will not go back to that stylist. Perhaps not even that location.
It’s wrong to refuse service to someone for not wearing a mask, especially when they have a medical exemption. And even if they don’t, it should always be optional.I’m talking about the store in East Peoria, Illinois.
Jessi did a great job of listening to what I wanted and made the adjustments I asked for after she was done! Early tuesday is probably the best time to go :)
The absolute worst haircut I have ever and yo top it off, the stylist was yawning, hiccuping and belching throughout my haircut. I came in wearing a hat after a long day. The stylist didnt brush or even wet my hair prior to the cut. I was shocked, she just started chopping. I asked for a trim and got about 2 inches off. When I said I thought it looked uneven, instead of checking she just cut off even more hair. She never parted my hair, asked about it or anything. The cut that I am left with is what I can only describe as a hack job. The whole haircut took under 10 minutes, zero consultation, zero effort. I have never been more humiliated with a cut. I would have rather kept my hair as it was than to have to wait to get into my normal stylist to fix this horrendous haircut. Never again in all of my life no matter how desperate I am will I go to this salon. Unbelievable.

Usually get my haircuts done at great clips. I find the locations are all pretty consistent at the quality of haircut, which is great. Biggest draw for me is that I can walk in without an appointment and get a haircut quick.
One lady did a terrible job on my kids hair (payed $27). She left long hairs on what was supposed to be a short hair cut.Besides that she was being loud and obnoxious. Its not the first time she does this, no one needs to hear your loud voice when cutting hair...

I’ve been growing my hair out (with occasional trims) for 5 years after the last time it was butchered. Today I went in for a haircut and told the stylist “just trim off the dead stuff and add some layers, I’m growing it out.” she proceeded to cut about 8-12” off my hair and gave me long face-framing bangs which DON’T work with curly hair AT ALL. I now have what is essentially a bob, which looks terrible. She also cut my hair on a center part, so now it looks asymmetrical because I part my hair on the side. I’m very disappointed and will never be coming back to this location.

Probably the best Great Clips Ive been to! Ive had some really bad haircuts at ones in the past, but not a single bad one here yet! Great prices(obviously) and wonderful staff.
I would like to say that this place does not seem to have stylists who are willing to listen or take a moment to look at hair before cutting away. When I went to my last visit, I only needed my bangs trimmed, so I went inside thinking how can anyone butcher bangs that only need a couple centimeters trimmed? Well this place surely butchered them. I was very unfortunate to get a stylist who did not look at my hair or ask me my opinion before chopping away. My bangs are now to short and do not work with my face shape. I am thoroughly disappointed, and I sincerely hope no one has to have to get a hair cut there. It was the worst hair cut experience I have ever had.I would honestly like the owner of this Great Clip to actually check to make sure that their employees are actually accredited to cut hair because this woman does not seem to have any capability of doing so.
Ive been there 3 different times and each time my grandson and myself and hid other grandma were very satisfied. They are caring and very good at what they do..they aim to please and do.

Ive had a great experience every time Ive been to this location. The folks there are friendly, they respond to my requests, the on-line advance check-in system works - and the prices (with or without coupons) are great. Highly recommended.
If I could give a zero I would. Showed a picture and no where near the picture. Now I have to go even shorter just to get a decent look. Maybe if the staff was worried about actually listening to the client instead of breaks and when they can leave.
They do a great job and a very good turn around time. Never a long wait especially if you use their app and let them know youre coming ahead of time.

Boyfriend came out looking like a hedgehog. Barber didnt take his natural hair thickness nor direction of growth into account. End result: hairs of widely different length all over. Aweful.

Place is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE they cut my little cousins hair and her hair was past her but and we told them to cut it up to a bit below her shoulders they cut it up to her ears she came out looking like a boy we were all crying we said no Lars and they lairs as high as her eyes and and they are the rudest people your ever meet and it feels like u wait there for ever and they absolutely dont care if they mess up your hair or cry bc its messed dont give u a a refund nothing like seriously in my opinion I wouldnt go there

Dont bother showing up early .... I was waiting outside 15 before they opened, the attendant saw this and when she opened the doors to put the sign outside ... She let 2 other walk ups in before me. This is very poor customer service.

2022-06-28Friendly staff. Good haircut. I like the feature that lets me check in online. Friendly and casual place. I little disappointed with the haircut though. Only a week later and my hair is in my eyes again. I wanted it shorter than that and asked for it. Somehow it didnt register.

2022-08-01Not a terrible haircut, but the stylist didnt even comb my hair out of my eyes when they were done. They just walked up to the cash register and said that wi be $20. That was how I knew they were done cutting my hair.

2020-03-09I had a coupon for $8 to get a haircut this month so I went ahead and took advantage of it. Sometimes I wait a little too long to get my haircut so I was trying to create some small talk about my split ends. The hairdresser didnt really seem interested in anything I was saying. She asked me how much I wanted to cut off so I answered her and then she was just kind of quick to cut me off, kind of felt like she wanted to finish the conversation and not talk. So I didnt say anything the rest of the time I was getting my haircut (which was maybe 3 minutes) aside from when she asked me if my hair felt better. My coupon served his purpose and I got my hair trimmed like I needed but it was a bit of an awkward experience cause she seemed to be in a bad mood.The atmosphere was nice for the most part (in the waiting room) but there was gray hair all over the counter that was sitting at my station in front of me and I didnt see any type of sanitary which made me assume that her scissors and comb were used on the person before me. That bothered me a bit to be honest.Im really not one to put reviews on here that arent A+ but I felt like I should be honest this time. Unfortunately its experiences like this that make me not want to visit places like this.

2021-12-23They registered me for the haircut allowed me to sit and wait but when it was my turn I had to leave.I am incapable of wearing a mask at this time. I was rejected for services. Please mark my words being incapable of wearing a mask at this time, 10/7.With no rights to have access to any of my medical information they required my papers to prove that I could have a haircut I told them I do not walk around carrying my medical records she told me you have to have a mask to have your haircut there was one other customer in the salon who didnt care if I was masked or not.It was both insensitive and unprofessional to keep me waiting unmasked then turn me away when it was my turn.

2021-08-21This was our first visit. I knew my son had been here before with his aunt. The stylists were so kind and patient as they searched for his name in their system. Once he got back in the chair, the stylist working with him was focused and ready to get to work. She doubled checked with us as she selected the right level (knowing you can always go shorter). As we were leaving he said, Mom, I like my haircut, with a great big smile. Thank you East Peoria Great Clips for helping my son look great!
