The lady who cut my hair was nice. She said she was training but she cut my hair just the same as any other stylist. Im very happy with my haircut and she made great conversation.
Hair is choppy and uneven. I asked for it to be just below the shoulders and it’s a good 1-2 inches above... now I have to wait for it to grow some so I can get it fixed somewhere else. I have never been so embarrassed of a haircut.
Poor service. Check in app doesn’t work. We checked in on the app, had 10 mins left. We walked in and lady said we are not on the list and it would be a 40 min+ wait. We took our business elsewhere and we still received the automated txt saying we only a few mins left before our turn. This location has gone downhill with service since Covid
I use to feel good about going to great clips become I could get a haircut at a reasonable price and still give a good tip to the stylist. Now I can barely afford the haircut and the stylist is getting a small tip.
We went for our child’s hair cut the hair stylist named Linda was very rude towards us. She don’t even ready to accept the coupon which was valid and saying that it is expired. Worst place , not recommend to anyone, hair stylist was shown rude behavior.our child was cranky she was unsupportive so we have to leave in between of hair cut.
Amazing staff who remembers you after your first trip. Always nice to talk too and very polite. Clean simple cuts its just a great experience.
Jolie always gives a great cut, trim and style. You never worry that you cut and style will not be what you want and expected.
Me and my twins went. Me and one of my twins had a great experience. My other twins was almost in tears on the ride home because of how rude her stylist was,she was moving her head to the point it hurt her, was angry and short with her. Wont be going back. Leave it to one bad apple to ruin what would of been a good place.

Took 2 of my kids here yesterday and the ladys that cut their hair were amazing. They were very patient with explaining what they were doing and with showing the scissors and different items they were using to cut their hair. I also got an amazing haircut. The lady that did mine (I wish I would have remembered names) cut it exactly how I wanted it, I love it!
My favorite place. I strongly suggest you go on line and check in so you dont have to wait. Ive been using their reduced price gift card for 3 years now. Its priceless!

My family and I have been going to Great Clips since we moved to Dekalb. Ive never had a single issue with their service or staff. They have a great group there and I enjoy supporting them, despite their semi-overpriced haircuts.
Like the hair cuts. I checked in using the on line check in app. Got an e mail 15 minutes before, so I could go in and wait. Hair cut was a breeze. Great staff. Clean place. Wear a mask!! Handicapped parking and building access.

Prices are reasonable here. Had to change beauticians a few times from people quitting and moving on. Ive had really nice haircuts and the good thing is that you can sign in thru their app and get on a waiting list.
Never had an issue at this location until today. Came in with chemically damaged hair and expected to get some advice from a hair dresser while getting a trim. Instead the worker continued to complain the entire service about how damaged my hair was infront of other customers and at one point, the other workers were also weighing in loudly while still working with their customers. So embarrassing and will never be back. I paid for a service, not to get publicly embarrassed.

I have been getting my hair cut by Dessarey at this location every two months for years now. She is always very pleasant, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. I am very particular with the way that I like my hair to be cut. Dessarey listens closely to my preferences and cuts my hair perfectly every time! This location always has great customer service. The online check-in is very convenient. I recommend this Great Clips to friends and family members on a regular basis. Keep up the great work!

This was the first time I went to Great Clips. I stopped in, gave them my name, went to set down and was told she was ready for me. She was very polite and carried on a light conversation. Im very impressed with my hair cut and the cost was in line with what Ive paid at other places. Thank you

The check-in here is a joke. I was over 30 mins away and checked in which said it was 32min wait. I get there to check in only to be told that I have to wait an additional 27 mins. This has happened at least 4 times. So I had to share this with every one. The stylist are great. But I just cant get around the wait here. New management is needed.

Great convo and great cut! Im very picky about how I get my hair cut too. I had very long hair and decided to chop it all off. My hair dresser also made great suggestions and made sure along the way that she was cutting at a good length.
My daughter went here and clearly they are not good with biracial hair. My poor daughter felt like a freak. The girl doing her hair had no clue what to do all she wanted was a cut.Isnt cutting hair the first thing you learn in beauty school? She combed her hair and it puffed up in a big fro.. another worked told her to spray it with water when she walked away she said i am not.. what the? If one doesnt know how to do a biracial haircut you should let someone that knows how do It! She will not be back!

Great Clips values one check-in client over one walk-in clients, sucks when youre in a rush! The prices are also to high, you can get a better cut/price else where. Im giving them 3 stars, because the hairstylist with the tattoos did exactly what I ask for and it was the first time my son actually liked his hair cut from them.

Been in this place many many times always different people working there they ask you how would you like your hair to be cut and seems like they dont understand instructions i had the worst cut ever and I will never come back tired of 5 minute cuts some of them do a good job but there is al lot of inexperience people that need to be back to training i got my haircut by someone that first told me is not my day and ruin my hair after almost a month i cant not comb my hair for you its Probably another customer for me is my hair talked to the manager offer a free cut wish I feel i should never payd for the first cut plus tip $20 total very disappointed
I just cut off my dreadlocks that Ive had fr over 4 years.....and my last haircut was 7 years ago.....they did a great job (especially considering the hack job I had already done. And the beautician gave me a free shampoo (thanks I know I had an ungodly amount of conditioner in there and looked like a total greaseball) before and after photos included here

So I went here to get my haircut. I let it grow out to allow the stylist something to work with. I wanted a cut to frame my face. I walked out with short hair in the shape of a bowl. The girl who cut my hair was pregnant, so I didn’t have the heart to insult her lack of hair- cutting skills to her face. NEVER AGAIN

I have never had a good haircut from a walkin salon but my husband is always after me to try them. So Saturday night after we went to dinner we went to Great clips in Dekalb IL. My stylist was Brittany. She was so bubbly and nice. I have fine hair and she does as well....she understood my hair problems. I started explaining what I like..how my hair behaves etc....shes running her fingers thru my hair to understand how it lays. She knew I was worried and hesitant...she asked me to trust her...so I did. BEST HAIRCUT EVER!!!! I am a Brittany follower for life!!! Whrn you find a good stylists you grab holt with both hands and hope and pray she never moves from your area!Brittany thank you!!! I explained to the stylist exactly what I want it done with my hair. I was so excited to get the stylist that I had, as she had just done a cut very similar to what I wanted. the cut she had done was shorter than what I wanted, and I explain to her that I wanted my sides and back longer than what she had done, and I wanted my bangs very choppy. when she finished, the cut with exactly like the woman before me, not what I had asked for! I was very disappointed, as the next day was my sons wedding! I seriously doubt that I will be returning!
I always come here for my haircuts. Staff is always friendly and remembers you individually... including your hairstyle and the topic of conversations you have. Such great customer service!

They follow their notes too religiously. I understand why they have them, but if a customer asks you to cut it shorter, then cut it shorter. Dont argue your point about why it should be this way or that because of the note, just cut it shorter and make it work because that is what I am paying you to do. The guy cutting my hair made me feel like he knew more about my hair than I did. After I left I went home and cut the longer hairs he missed myself.Also, when I got to the car, I had a couple big clumps of cut hair stuck to my face where the guy didnt even brush off the excess hair. Not going back.
I normally dont feel compelled enough to actually write a review for something, but this salon went above and beyond. Brittney was my stylist and she gave me exactly what I wanted even though I wasnt even sure what i wanted. It looks amazing.

Went in for a simple haircut (only a trim) and left with uneven hair. Whoever is in charge of hiring should probably hire people who can actually cut hair. I dont remember the girls name. All I remember is that she has tattoos.

Service sucks been waiting for over an hour even when I checked in on website and was informed that waiting time was less than 20 minutes people waking in where served and I was waiting WHAT A SERVICE. Also last time I got hair cut they mess it up Pure joke that place should be closed down for good-20 stars BEWARE

Took me forever to grow my hair out. Went in for a trim and ended up with chopped up layers all over my head with no style. Looks like a blind person cut my hair. Never again.

2022-05-12This is a nice shop. Clean and efficient enough. As anywhere, there are different levels of expertise. About half are very good. Three are exceptionally good. Two spend more time chatting about themselves with patrons than in actually listening to what their clients have asked for. But thats endemic to the field nowadays

2021-11-18My son wanted a mohawk.... definitely not a mohawk and very crooked. Hes very mad and I had to fix it for him. I had to shave off the bottom strip that was left and clean up the line that wasnt all the way around. Not happy w this place anymore. The lady that we did see when we went there wasnt there today and I should have known to just walk out. May the odds be ever in your favor....My edit is to respond to great clips- no thanks.

2022-04-24Great Clips does a good job of being efficient yet careful with haircuts. I choose to go here as they keep records of you previous haircuts so if you liked it past time they know what to do again. They also keep their prices lower than many other barber shops. As of March 2022, this location has a remodeled interior, which looks very nice, and allows more seating. The staff as always is still very polite and competent.

2022-03-28Cant cut hair for nothing. Worst haircut my son has ever received. I probably could of done better myself. Very uneven, one side is faded up further than the other. Never again!!!!

2022-05-09I was not fully satisfied with my visit. I was greeted and taken care of in a timely matter but I was not satisfied with my haircut. Since Ive had a bad haircut experience in the past, I was very anxious in coming in to get a haircut. Even though I was asked about the length of my haircut, I was not asked if I wanted it cut a specific way. Overall, I am not fully happy about how it came out, but I know hair grows back. I just wished it was a different experience for me.

2022-03-31The hairdresser was very rough with my hair when washing and combing it. There were parts of the hair that were cut a lot shorter than other parts without a smooth transition, so it looks ugly.

2022-01-21Went in for a trim of an inch and asked for layers the bottom 6 inches of my hair. Went home with my wet hair. After I got home I realized this place messed up my hair. They offered to have me come back and fix my hair. I ended up just having a friend fix my hair as best she could. Lost 5 inches or more of hair just to make it look decent. I will never go back to Great Clips!!! Wish I could add a photo!!!

2022-02-13Even though it took some gentle coaxing the hair cut was decent. I didnt much care for the way the stylist would not except what I wanted for my grandson right off.She seemed obstinate, or felt a challenge to her expertise for some odd reason, which was not the case at all.As she proceeded to shaking her head as I walked away each time.Needless to say I did not leave but a $4 tip, and that was too much.As a patron who is spending money any establishment, my wish should always be my command.
