Don’t just go to the River. Grant Park is just south of Millennium and is a lush and serene spot to take a stroll and have a picnic.

Disappointing because they said the Buckingham fountain its have a light and music water show every hrs for 20mins and we expend hour in half and nothing happened but the lights and fountain are beautiful they should have more light around the plaza bcuz its to dark.. I hope u upgrade the info online please that way peoples dont have high expectations. Please and thank you! Even we took good nice pictures and enjoy the changes color.
Grab a coffee and a friend and take a morning stroll together through this beautiful green space. Open air sculptures, bike paths, and fountains make for great viewing. This park sits between Museum Campus and Buckingham Fountain which make it very convenient for a lot of sightseeing on foot or bicycle.
We visited June 2021 at night. The view of the fountain is amazing. There was no music but the lights were simply amazing. A must visit place. It’s better to take the bus since it’s just a 5 minute walk to the fountains.

First time visiting Chicago and I came for lollapalooza festival. It was amazing and the park it is beautiful it has so many incredible views plus the fountain is breathtaking
Beautiful and very close to downtown. Everything is within walking distance. There are food stations and ice cream vendors all over the place.
Lollapalooza never disappoints!! Perry Ferrell pulled off another fantastic music festival in the middle of Covid! The highlight of it all, meeting Perry Ferrell and his beautiful sweet wife!! Perry did what was right by requiring vaccination or negative test to enter. Because of the requirements I truly believe he got the unvaccinated to get vaccinated!!! We appreciate you!!!❤️❤️ This Texas girl loves Chicago!!

Wonderful October fall day without the crowds to see Buckingham Fountain and nearby flowers.
Be sure to plan an evening stop at Buckingham Fountain for a light show. The lights change continuously, but the enhanced water show happens every hour on the hour and lasts for 20 minutes. Beautiful!
I love Grant Park, its a great place as long as you visit during the day, the night can be sketchy with the homeless begging or you can possibly be mugged.
Was here for Lollapalooza. Its a beautiful park near the heart of the city that boasts amazing views of Lake Michigan as well as the city skyline! Just beautiful!

Beautiful park in Chicago, great for running and walking animals or enjoying the weather. Traffic goes through quickly but there are areas to cross well-marked.
Quiet, peaceful and clean. Our hotel is across the street so this has been our access point to the miles of walking and biking trails along the lakeshore.

Really beautiful place, fresh air, and a really old park. There have been fires and many tornadoes that almost destroyed this park, so it feels amazing to be able to walk here, after all the disasters that have happened. In the modern day, this park has many events happen right on its premises.

Incredible view of the Lake Michigan and the city skyline. Just minutes away from the Bean. Good place to hang around and chill. There’s a trail connecting the city and aquarium/planetarium, walk or bike with amazing views.
Grant Park was an awesome host for pokemon go fest. Lots of room to set up everything.All the staff were really helpful, the location is great, and it has some beautiful scenery. You can see some of the city buildings and the water. Theres a nice big fountain too. I really enjoyed it.

Clean, beautiful, a trillion things to see and do. Water fountain sidewalk playland for kids to cool off & burn off their energy. It smells sort of nasty, weather that’s sitting water in the drains or the actual water coming off the exhibits, i’m not sure about.
What beautiful park. We were here for a show and decided today to walk through the park. I cant get over how big this park is and all the museums they have here too. It was truly pleasant surprise for us we had no idea. The trail was great for walkers, bikers, moms and anyone who needed to take lots of breaks.
I loved the accessibility of this park! I walked a few blocks from the Red Line and was right in the park! A little further and I wouldve been by the Natural History Museum or the Planetarium and Shedds Aquarium. Grant Park is more people friendly now that so many sculptures and people rides (skates, etc) are available. 👍
Grant Park is really a beautiful place to visit with friends and family. Nice place to spend time with your friends. I have been for the first time and my experience was amazing.
One of Chicagos Great Lakefront parks. Buckingham Fountain looks good during the day but is exquisite at night. Fountain shows are on the Hour (sometimes a little late) music plays with the water show. During the day you can find a glass of wine or a coke , burger and other snacks near the fountain. Public restrooms are located there. You can buy a souvenir from Jessie at her bike gift shop or catch a rickshaw if you are too tired from walking the park.
It is a beautiful park. lovely place for a walk or a run. great to bring friends or tourists. kids will enjoy coming as well. its just splendid in the fall.
I went to see Robert Plant here. Sat near the stage on the left. The sound is amazing. The structure definitely amplifies the music. Even from further back the sound system was great. Good placement of beer vendors. Easily accessible and large bathrooms. Minimal wait to get in and get drinks well organized.
Its a great walk path in downtown Chicago. With the trees and colorful flowers around, feels like a peaceful heaven. Ill share some photos rather than trying to portraying the nature.
Such a gorgeous and massive park in a prime location in downtown Chicago and right along Lake Michigan. (There is a somewhat busy road between the park and the lake but there are cross walk so still pretty great). Beautiful landscaping such as the rose gardens and Buckingham fountain is gigantic! The water shoots up at different levels. When its at its highest it will gently mist passerbyers. (Very refreshing on warm days). There is even a restaurant in the middle of the park. Although if you are willing to walk a block or two away from the park youll find basically any type of food you want and multiple coffee shops to keep you going. I was at Grant Park for GoFest 2019 (A Pokemon Go festival). I spent 10 hours at the park and could have stayed longer as to stress how big this park really is. If in the Chicago area I highly recommend checking out!

Grant Park is beautiful and if you take the Orange train out of Midway get off at Roosevelt and walk through Grant Park to visit all the museums. But watch these little black birds theyre very smart and very sneaky! But beautiful too.
Most tourists these days skip Grant Park for her newer neighbors, Millennium and Maggie Dailey parts. But Grant Park has much to offer and isnt nearly so busy.

The Grant park in less than 500 meters from the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain - which is heavily planted with trees and blooming flowers. Grant park is amazing! I’m from NY and I think Grant Park has the best conditions for a music festival, afternoon walk, biking or running. It’s my favorite park in the country. In the center of Chicago, you can’t beat it. If I lived in Chicago I would want to live near this beautiful park with incredible views of the city!
We love visiting filming locations. This park has the fountain that was featured in the opening credits of Married with Children. At this time of the year, the fountain was empty, but it was still beautiful to see. The architecture and scenery around it was great.It was a perfect place for photos - make sure to utilize the panorama mode on tour cameras!

This is a beautiful park. There is a nice walkway along the waterway and through some park areas. This also goes past the Buckingham fountain area. Simply a nice area with several areas to relax. Its also gorgeous at sunset and sunrise

Highly recommended the view from Grant. I also LOVE the skatepark. Its a bit low on transition items that work together, but its a great place to work on tricks and skate creatively.

A massive and beautiful park area in the heart of the Chicago Loop. A good place to park is the Grant Park North Garage, which you enter at 25 Michigan Avenue. Grant Park lies in between Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive/Lake Michigan. The area is huge, and there’s plenty to explore within the park and in the surrounding downtown area. The park is also home to many Chicago festivals, including Lollapalooza. If you’re in Chicago, Grant Park is a must-visit.

I work right across the street, so I am very fortunate to have this view from my office. In the summer we walk over and have lunch, for a quick workout I run through on my way to/from work. There is always a festival or some type of event. I feel like if you blink you may miss something here. Great spot.
Amazing place in Chicago for sight seeing. There are many attractions around the area including this park. It is worth the time to just stroll around aimlessly.
A great place to unwind or take a break from the busy streets, you can walk, run, cycle or just sit and relax, my wife and I visited some of the statues situated within the park, we visited on a hot day, I guess it would be a great place whatever the weather, the seasonal changes must be great to witness as a resident, I would definitely recommend

For a tourist as myself i love coming to grant park! Everything is within walking distance! You have the cloud gate pretty much connected to the park, the fountain and the big lake! Definitely a place i visit every time im in Chicago.
Great for concerts, big lawn, but because of reserved seating, stage is far away. Good video screen, sound. handicap access. Nice view of skyline. Need to bring blanket or chair, sunscreen a must.
Lots closed off today because of recent Lalapalooza but lovely day in the park just a few blocks from Michigan Avenue. A great place to take a break from the city streets

Great place to go with children and pets. The fountain is beautiful and nice to walk past to cool off on a hot day. My only complain is that in some areas it smells a bit like sewage, but it wasnt too bad and for the most part it is a nice place to visit.
Beautiful! I loved the changing lights. And just the beauty of the city at night is gorgeous. You learn to have more appreciation for these kinds of things when you live in the boonies... in a rural area.

One of the greatest parks in Chicago. You can spend all way Long there. With fantastics views of the Lake, you have a beautiful fountain face to Lake. Also you have the Buckingham fountain , the incredible Cloud Gate, the Art Institute and the Museum Campus with the Aquarium. For musical propouses there is a major outdoor amphitheatre call Petrillo Music Shell
Nice place to chill when waiting for door dash to pick up. The skateboarders are free entertainment also.

I walked through Grand Park and yes, it was very nice except the garbage that was overflowing and some kind of death fish floating in the little corner of Lake Michigan, therefore, the 4 stars. City of Chicago should really do a better job out there as this is very touristy area that brings money to the city, therefore, this should be spotless and clean for the tourists!!!

Really peaceful and great view of the city. We came in winter so it was also full of snow, We were also the only ones around so it made it that bit more special. Got some really beautiful photos.
Fun park with lots of places to ride, would recommend having a mode of transportation (like bicycle or onewheel) because it is a very large park with a lot of ground to cover. Only reason for 4 stars is that parking is hard to find, and there aren’t that many restaurants/places to stop and eat at the actual park.
I’ve been here a couple times for go fest. Great space except for how muddy it gets with any amount of rain.
Im a small town girl visiting a big city. This is the perfect place to get a feel of what the city life is about. The view is jaw dropping. The atmosphere is on point. I felt safe and welcomed. I couldnt have picked a better spot to take some amazing pictures to take home to my kiddos. If I was tethering on the idea of making a move here this place would most likely seal the deal. So busy yet so relaxing. I will return before we head home just to see it in the daylight

I love this park and not far away from the water and just a beautifully placed park in Chicago. It has to be one of the largest in this country and there is a lot to do there. Great for a weekend to spend with the family, or just to head out on a weekday to read and relax.
Beautiful place to visit during your stay in Chicago. It is really big so be prepared to walk a lot. If youre visiting in the summer, make sure to use sun screener and bring your water with you. Restaurants near the place are amazing! The best thing about it is the view of all the buildings.

A wonderdul peacful park set in the city. The garden is beautiful. (A great place to take pictures) Also there is so much to do with the family. Mini golf, rock climbing, walking, playground, and great art work around the park. A very clean and welcoming park. I love coming to this park when I am in Chicago.
It would help a lot if more places were available to drink water or stands where to purchase bottled water during the hot and humid months of Summer.

Michigan Ave is right there. All the shops, food, and entertainment imaginable is right there. Millennium park and the bean are right there. Lake Michigan is right there. The park is clean. Bike, walk, run, or bring your dog to the fenced in area. Volleyball, ball fields, and tennis courts are available as well.

Came here at 7:30, early in the morning. Enjoyed the sunlight and lake wind. The trail is perfect for walking, running and cycling.

Chicago is a beautiful city....and experiencing the Buckingham Fountain and the city lights is wonderful. Light show goes until 10 PM and is well worth a walk!

Grant Park is a large beautiful urban park. It offers many different attractions in its large open space. It’s a must see when you are in town.

Although the park is beautiful; there wasnt enough cooling stations or shaded areas for the eldery, children, or disabled. No charging stations for scooters or other support tools. Surprisingly, a bit of a food desert! Not enough fresh fruits or vegan options for taste of Chicago....Conversely, the Chicago people were warm and welcoming. So polite and thoughtful. Welcome to Chicago!!!

Park features a nice walk along the waterfront of Lake Michigan, past the aquarium and up to the Planetarium. The park is lively in the summer and very quiet in the winter. Very clean and would be a nice place to bring your family for a scenic walk.
It was freezing cold out but we managed to visit this big expand of park facing Lake Michigan. Lots of tourists endured low temperatures to see this Chicago Landmark.

I took a walk there with some friends. Didnt have that much time to look or walked through out the park. But it was very nice and clean. Great for photo shoot also. My reason for a 4star is because I havent finish walking around the whole park.
Chicago ( loop ) is surprisingly amazing. I only worked and hung out and partied in the loop area in Chicago. I liked the vibes of the people. Its like NYC but cleaner and prettier w bigger stunning skyscrapers. Lake Michigan is pretty and fun with boats and theres a beach and boardwalk on Grant Park area. The restaurants and sportsclubs and nightclubs are good and fun. STK, Bottled Blonde + Paris nightclub were my faves! You can really get dressed up in Chicago too and the shopping is good. If you dont like the cold weather go in spring or summer into early fall autumn. The photo is at Godfrey skybar

Grant park had history, the Buckingham Fountain, statues of Lincoln. The Bowman and Spearman; as I found out after, both purposefully missing their weapons.

My company did the Chicago Cubs parade in this park a lot of people showed up at the Park and there was a lot of room for more people. Great views from the park all around you.
This park is massive, maintained, and beautiful. Not even a gloomy, overcast day could make it look it look anything other than nice. Wonderful for taking walks.

I went to Grant Park 2 days ago- Fathers Day (6.16.19) for Pokemon Go Fest 2019 with my husband and 2 daughters and we had a BLAST ! The park is so big and beautiful and its definitely a place well be going to again! :)

I know Grant Park is a large area on Chicagos lake front, so I wasnt sure if I was actually visiting this area, but I visited the Buckingham Fountain and I just looked it up and thats in the center of Grant Park!It was a great Chicago landmark!I didnt totally experience the full park, but it definitely has beautiful landscape, green space, walkways and a great view of lake Michigan!I also remember that Grant Park was totally packed with an estimate of 240,000 people on the night that president-elect Barack Obama won the 2008 election!We were able to go a lot of great places in Chicago, this time around and I know we experienced Millennium Park and the two landmarks. When we get back we hope to experience more at Grant Park!
Was a bit muddy and destroyed from Pokemon GO! Fest 2019 and a few days of solid rain. They should have put portable walkways around the equipment and other impediment areas that blocked the cement walkways to save the grass and let visitors avoid walking in the mud.

Love the views of the Chicago skyline from Grant Park. It is very spacious to roam around and just soak up the ambience of both locals and tourists alike. Highly recommend! From there a close walk to Lake Shore Drive where you can walk along the lakes coast & to Museum Campus: Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, and Soldier Field Stadium.

On a hot summer day there are several vendors to quench your thirst, hit your sweet tooth, and with a large path to walk next to the gorgeous lake Michigan, overlooking downtown Chicago, Grant Park is perfect for families, couples, and individuals. Regardless of the seasons or weather, there is always something exciting to find in Grant Park! A must see for travelers, tourists, and locals!
If you are early for Shedd or Field museums then this is a comfortable spot to wait. Great view of the Chicago skyline and on occasion you will see some work for the museum (we got to see the Macaws flying). There isnt much to do really early but it is relaxing place to rest.

Last time I was there was intended for Lolapaloza and the arrangement was extraordinary .. close to it the recreation center is on the grounds that and bodes well to visit it exceptionally in case you are in the city for some days! During summer there is an excellent wellspring... Set aside for some effort to stroll around ! Here are a few pictures from Lola occasion . Furthermore, the wellspring!!

The lake front is so beautiful at night. The foundation, the traffic, the wind blowing. It was all good. The lights on the building and the push car that people ride make Chicago one the most popular places to visit.
Im here mainly for the skate park off Roosevelt... its a fantastic park in general ... its an easy 2 minute walk to the lake... its really expansiveand has a decorative fountain and beautiful sculptures.. one of my favorite parks

Great view of the Chicago skyline, and some nice music playing by the fountain! we went at night, but you can still tell it was well maintained and spacious!
A beautiful park that is clean and has lots to do. If you’re downtown you should definitely stop by. I like to walk from one side to the other. What’s great is that there are plenty of restaurants just right across the street.. This park can be a multi hour experience
Beautiful park during the day. Its next to millennium park with Buckingham fountain and the cloud gate statue. This park has a bunch of museums and awesome sculptures. Great for a walk with the family.
Great place to walk or ride bikes in a lot of runner use it also. Has placed for picnics and volleyball.
This park is stunning and historic. It is right on the banks of Lake Michigan and has this famous fountain. It is also where Barack Obama gave his election night address after he was elected POTUS.

Came here for Lolla, although as a native it certainly wasn’t my first time in the park. Grant park is always clean and peaceful. During the festival people were working hard to minimize trash left behind, keeping grant park beautiful. Very nice place for a good walk alone or with another.

The perfect place for taking pictures with the background of a skyline. Good parking options and walking distance from a lot of tourist attractions such as Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, and Maggie Daley Park. I bring anyone that visits us in Chicago to this area and they love it every time.
Downtown Chicago has amazing waterfront parks, which add to the attraction of this magnificent city. On a recent visit we walked through several of them and an visit to Grant Park wouldnt be complete without a visit to the Buckingham Fountain with its spectacular views of Lake Michigan.

2022-05-05So fun. We only went to the playground areas for kids. It was so impressive and we will be back again to play! Thanks Chicago for a great trip and giving the kids a place to expend their energy! Easy enough parking with good rates. Enough seating for the parents as well.

2022-02-10This park is great during the middle of the day. My Wife and I were in Chicago on January 22-23, 2022 and although it was cold, in direct sunlight it was decently pleasant to walk along the park, with the water on one side and the downtown skyline on the other. As you walk from the Museum Campus to the Millennium and Grant Park areas, there is a lot of green space and plenty of nice places to stop and rest or just take in the view.

2022-06-05During the summer in the evening, walking along the park is priceless especially with a good company. Bicycles are available, a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, walgreens… are close by as it is right on Michigan lake. Jogging or just chilling there is popular as well. The park makes the city of Chicago more Gorgeous.

2022-05-15Went for the Switch On Summer event and everything was spectacular, from the booths doing giveaways, the bands, the atmosphere was great. It made Chicago feel like a community.

2021-08-04Last time I was there was for Lolapaloza and the setup was great .. beside it the park is because and makes lots of sense to visit it specially if you are in the city for some days! During summer there is a beautiful fountain... Take some time to walk around ! Here are some pictures from Lola event . And the fountain!!

2022-06-22Grant Park long walks along the shoreline. Just love it lots too see do while walking. Lots of places too grab a bite and drink while sitting enjoying the view. Other activities too enjoy also bike trails walking trails if you wanna sit and catch a break you can some seats along the way if the Walk way not crowded. But very enjoyable walks and scenery. Absolutely must wear comfortable shoes and clothing long walks everywhere in Chicago really.
