I went here to have COVID testing done. They checked me in and walked me to a room. After waiting for over an hour in the room, the nurse came in and wanted to take vitals, have me see the doc, the whole 9 yards… just for a Covid test. That would mean that they would bill for all of that as well. I refused the services and the secretary said she would cancel my appointment. I asked for my paperwork back since they didn’t see me and they made a copy before giving it back. I will be watching my insurance claims in case of insurance fraud. They shouldn’t need paperwork if I was never a patient and/or never seen. No COVID test was completed. I went somewhere else and was in and out in less than 5 minutes… test only; no vitals, no visit encounter, no provider needed to see me.
The nurses and staff were polite and professional, the only dissatisfaction I had was with the doctor, I went in to test for COVID-19 and was positive, the doctor refused to give me medication that wouldve helped alleviate the symptoms telling me that she didnt give medicines that could help alleviate my symptoms, instead telling me that I had to get them from my primary care physician. Since it was Friday, this forced me to wait until the following Monday to get any anti-viral meds that would help but was to late to be given anti-virals by my physician because 3 days had elasped and they must prescribed within 3 days of testing positive. Kind of a waste of my $40 co-pays.
Had an appointment at 1pm, it is now almost 2:30 and I still have not even been tested yet. Also, for whatever reason, this urgent care is now not covered by insurance and forces a copay. My copay was 50 dollars. Walgreens and CVS offer 100% free tests.Rude and unprofessional staff. Not free.Save yourself the headache and go to Walgreens.
Made an appointment in the morning for that afternoon, showed up on time for said appointment only to wait for over an hour in a nearly empty waiting room to be seen. Once in the room, it took literally 3 minutes for the doctor to look at and diagnose the issue and prescribe antibiotics. What is the purpose of an appointment if youre forced to wait over an hour to be seen anyway? I could understand the wait if the office was packed, but it was basically dead inside and still took a ridiculous amount of time to be seen.
I arrived at 10am. Told i could not be seen until 1pm. Given paperwork to complete and asked to bring back. I arrived a little early and the same employee who originally told me to come back at 1pm told me i wasnt on the books and had to wait to get fit in. You can imagine the pain waiting when i had a perforated eardrum. I did not get any take home instructions or paperwork on the medical care received either.
Kicked my 69 year old Diabetic father out and told us if he cant come there sober take him to the er!it took a paramedics at our house to tell us that he was having a diabetic attack from extremely low sugerlevels. They also told us He couldve went into a coma so yeah thanks for nothing .
Signing up for an appointment was really easy! Sending in my information and insurance info was super easy also. I did the rapid Covid test, and had a good experience. The healthcare worker came out right at my appointment time, and conduct the test while I sat in my car. She was very cordial, and polite. She explain to me exact what was going to happen, and how to get my results. I got my results very quickly via text message, and I got a phone call the next day as well. Overall experience, A+!
4 and half guysI am a care provider myself and to see a well organized machine such as your staff demonstrated .Gives me something to try and achieve myself both in our office in Bridgton MO and about 70 nursing homes I visit on a routine basis in the bi state or metropolitan erea .They quickly had me an appointment time (wow I had to wait an hour and a half ) lol .They gave me complete and accurate information on what to do and what was expected of me. I personally spoke with the nurse practioner whom I that was personable and strait to the point .When I arrived it was a well rehersed demo of what they had explained over the phone making the appointment . Including what paper work and what my options where .The staff was courtiuos and friendly answering any and all of my questions . And taking care of my needs immediately and without any issues for myself .In a sentence fast ,courtious, clean and friendly care the way it should beYOU KNOW I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A 5 STARThey did mess up one thing. .That was giving me positive test results guys lol .I would recommend the staff I met any time any where. Thanks for everythingHey. Possess look me up if you can sneak away ssshhhhhhhhhhhh.
Ill never go there again. I wanted to do the telemed. They said I would have to pull up and let them swab my throat to test for strep. I asked if it would be faster if I just walked in. They told me yes. I get there and theres no cars in the lot and no one inside. I check in and begin my wait. I see nurses walking around, laughing, giggling, etc. After 10 mins of nothing, I ask if she knew how long its going to be. She told me that she (the n.p. i assume) was finishing up what she was doing and then they would be with me. 10 more minutes go by and they are still doing everything but helping me. After 30 minutes total waiting with no help (and no patients coming out the back) I tell the girl at the desk nevermind and Ill go elsewhere.
Always friendly service every time I’ve been in there. They are very informative and patient with their clients. They accommodate kids and adults in the waiting room with drinks and snacks. I’ve never had an issue except an occasional long wait time but normally they try to move pretty quickly depending on number of patients in the office. Very comfortable waiting room as well couch and chairs are there. Large and accommodates strollers as well.
The staff was kind and helpful with my questions. A little on the slow side though. Was 3rd in the door and it still took over a hour to see the nurse and then another 45 minutes just for a quick shot in the arm. Over all though, I would definitely recommend this place.
If 0 stars was an option I would put that. I drove 30 minutes to get a rapid test, got stuck in traffic & called to inform I would be 10 minutes late for my appointment. The receptionist I spoke to told me okay just call us when you’re here. As I’m pulling up to the facility, I get a call from another receptionist telling me that they can’t see me & will need to reschedule. I understand that they may have a had a tight schedule, however, don’t tell me to keep heading that way when you know you won’t be able to see me. Seems to me that not all of their staff is on the same page.
Absolutely ridiculous trying to get an appointment I called no less than 30 times before I was able to set one up. Walked into the building and they would not allow me to set up an appointment so I literally had to go out and call from the parking lot to set up an appointment 🤦♂️. Once the actual appointment came the technician was very friendly 😁 so if youre trying to set up an appointment May the force be with you!
I took my 10 month old to get checked out an even with one worker there she manage to get to everyone very professional even though she had all over 15 maybe 20 cars sitting outside for Covic testing . She got us checked in an the wait wasn’t long at all now my baby feels much better I appreciate urgent care I appreciate the staff there
I was very satisfied with the service, friendliness and promptness. I know it might not always be like that because things do get busy, but everyone took the time to make everything efficient. The front desk was very friendly as well as helpful. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the visit was very much worth the wait which was not long at all. I am so thankful that I was able to get in and get the help I needed. #feelingbetter!
I was a bit curious at first just how well my experience was going to be at this location being Granite City has a shady reputation. I was taken back and right away was worked on for my ear ache. The lady was very nice and kept working on my bad ear. My only issue was when I was told shed be back in 5 minutes and came back 30 minutes later. I was told that some girl came in with a bloody nose/face and she has to help clean her up. She could care less one way or the other what I thought lol. I am however very glad I didnt leave as I almost did being impatient, as this next ten minutes was the best as she got my ears all up and working! I swear it feels like she slapped two brand new ears on me cause Ive not been able to hear this good in many years! It was her persistence that brought my 3 stars up to 5. All in all Im very glad I ended up going there! Great job and the doctor is smoking 🔥 hot!!
I arrived very late for an emergency checking when the clinic almost closed, but the staff and doctor were friendly making me felt very comfortable. Dr took time to explain my concerns and encourage me if have any more questions. After few days the staff called me to follow if I feel better or still need help. The feeling of being taken care and respected was great. Thank you all.
I wish I could give 5 stars because the staff was extremely friendly! They were honestly wonderful. My problem is that I waited a very long time (I think about an hour total) for a test that they told me would take 15 minutes. The staff was great in every other aspect! I just wish they would be a little more conscious of how long they kept me and the other patients waiting.
Absolutely ridiculous that you are forcing children to do telehealth visits! My child has NO symptoms of covid but yet you are still forcing us to schedule telehealth you need to update your policy just like EVERY other medical office has and stop living in fear and letting it effect the quality of care your giving your patients!
Absolutely the worse place to go. Took my son for a school physical. We waited an hour an half an only two other patients in the building . So I gave the benefit of doubt an thought I would try the rapid covid test out since it’s hard to find any other place that does it . Took my soon. Arrived right at 830 & guess what the provider does not even get in daily til 9. Who runs and owns this place ? What a joke.
My family and I LOVE Granite City Urgent Care!! And I never thought I would say that about ANY doctors office. Ever. They are speedy usually, try to get you seen ASAP. Christina is very attentive and wants to get to the bottom of your physical complaints! And fast. The office is spacious and helps facilitate 6 feet apart for each patient. Check-in is usually swift. There is always complimentary soft drinks, coffee and a snack. Building is brand new so it is nice. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the reception ladies are a little less than warm and friendly. I understand that there is a pandemic and one should take precautions. But they are cold, unfriendly and quite frankly they act a little like YOU are bothering THEM. And this is not my first or second visit, and it happens every time unfortunately. But reception is like 10 % of the whole experience so I overlook it for the great medical care. I would still recommend to anyone I know, and believe I do!
Very positive experience. I worked with Donna, and she was very helpful, and accommodating for me, and my family’s needs. Having myself and 3 other members tested for COVID at the same time was not an easy task. She was very kind and attentive to our needs. Even when busy, she worked very well under pressure.
Took 1 hour for a 940 appointment. Wouldn’t even see my 5 year old when I mentioned she had a fever, sore throat and complaints of headache. They came out did the rapid Covid test. Called the pcp got her in with a NP 20 minutes away, ear infection and strep. Urgent care was a waste of time
I needed a last minute rapid test to go to a concert, this place could not have been more convenient!I couldnt find a single Walgreens or CVS that was offering same-day rapid tests and I was super stressed that I would have to cancel going to my concert! My day was MADE when I found these guys! I called them, set up an appointment that day, drove over, was greeted by a very kind nurse, and was tested right in my car!Highly recommend for rapid Covid tests!
This place is an absolute joke anymore. Its a walk in clinic. I go in at 3 they dont close till 9 not a single person waiting and they tell me theyre booked for the night?!?! What!? Its a walk in clinic! They dont do appointments! The staff is just plain lazy and doesnt want to do their jobs. Been that way a while now.
I brought my sick child who was running a fever to this place because they have always taken good care. Today however we had to do a televisit and the doctors connection was not working so they cancelled our visits and told me we had to reschedule after I already missed work to attend this visit. If you have to televisit consider choosing another place their service this day sucked!
If I could leave a zero I would! Made an appointment for a rapid Covid test. Drove 45 min. to get there. Arrived 15 min. early and called in to let them know I was there. They put me on hold for a moment that lasted 11 minutes before I hung up and recalled. Then to be told they didnt have a record of it!!! I was IRATE! Finally after another 15 minutes they agreed to squeeze me in, and an hour after my appointment they came out to my car and swabbed my nose. When I asked how long before I would be given the results they said 6 days!!!! Really, the web site specifically states Rapid testing, and when I called they also assured me they had rapid testing! What a crock!! Dont waste your time here.
Second time going here. Still best place ever. Everyone is really friendly. I do the video calls first and if they want to do tests thats when you go when you pull in the parking lot you just call and a nurse comes out does her thing and less then 15 minutes later you know whats wrong. Love this place 😁
These beautiful ladies were on the ball and the sweetest. Thank you for making my visit wonderful when I wasnt feeling so hot. I was in and out within an hour. Doctor was thorough and gave me what I needed to feel better. Ill definitely be returning if I need urgent care! 5 🌟🤩
So much for a walk in clinic. I get there an am told they have this new system that now you have to have an appointment...but they will try to work me in. I sit there for 30 minutes before they tell they cant verify my insurance...Ive been here once before nothing has changed. What a joke. I suggest before you decide that you arent a walk in clinic take the huge neon signs out of your windows stating as such. We maybe able to refund your money tomorrow...but it will be 50 dollars tonight. I didnt have a copay the first time! And how is it sanitary or right to let another workers daughter pick up a box of covid swabs for her to use somewhere else for pts. Yeahh...I wouldnt be going here to get swabbed for sure.. It was ok the first time this time yall are a flat out joke.
Well, unfortunately you could not help me. The thing that frustrates me is why did you have me sit in your waiting room 30 minutes and then tell me that since I had a fever that I had to go outside for a virtual appointment? I was not the only one in the waiting room. There were 3 other people. Plus I had to pay $50 for basically nothing. Was told to go to the ER. It was also recommended I go to Anderson, when Granite City has a hospital. I’m sorry if you are going to practice in Granite City the closest hospital should be suggested. Just my opinion.
First off, very friendly front staff! I went in because I was vomiting and had stomach issues and they told me it was just a bug and didn’t test for anything and barely gave me an exam. The next day I went to my PCP and low and behold I have a severe sinus infection with a GI bug...I was prescribed antibiotics and given a shot for the severe migraine I had because of the sinus infection and I already feel loads better! All they had to do was take a good look in my ears and nose and you could see the fluid build up! Just don’t rush the patients. I know you guys get busy but it could’ve saved me some pain
Waited for nearly two hours to be seen for literally less than a minute. They have all kinds of advertising in and around the building that suggests that this place is somehow associated with the VA, which would lead a veteran like me to think that care there would be free, as it is at the VA. Not true. This urgent care is no different than any other urgent care. If youre a vet, just go to the VA. The wait might actually be shorter and you wont be charged a copay.
Service was excellent. Called and had an appointment scheduled within 45 minutes of the call. The staff was very helpful and friendly . My Mom is 98 years old and has problems communicating be cause of hearing loss. The staff was patient and addressed problem quickly. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.
Nothing rapid about the testing. You have to call ahead to get an appointment first. I went through this process for three hours yesterday, first had to email our insurance cards, took a while for them to call back, then they asked us to send our driver’s licenses (to their unsecured gmail account), she then said she’d call me right back. She never called back and it’s now the next day. We wanted the test before we went to work to make sure we didn’t get anyone sick. Didn’t end up getting them in time so just went to CVS and got the results the next day.
Yesterday I made an appointment for my daughter. I am meeting an unusual amount of resistance getting her covid results. As Jacqlyns custodial parent who legally makes all medical decisions I find this vexing. I was told that her results are ready and that she had the results available however would not give me the results until they were posted to the portal. Her sister recieved a positive on her test and her mother recieved a negative result. I may be wrong here but I would think it would be important to share Jacqlyns results as soon as possible as she is in a house with another child that tested positive. I find the treatment on the phone from this staff member completely unacceptable. The test was completed at 9:15 am. The first time I called she said she had the test results but refused to give them to me and she had a lot to do and would imput it when she gets to it and thought it would be about 12 noon. I explained I made Jacqlyns appointment and I am primary guardian and she refused to give me result and that she couldnt talk about it with me over the phone due to hipa ,her guardian, and to wait until noon. I called at 12:40pm and she said the results were not in yet but would input them when she recieved them. Jacqlyns mother is meeting similar resistance. The staff member on the phone today was very unprofessional in tone and statement. The person I made the appointment with and everyone else has been exemplary! You know what they say about one bad apple spoils the bunch. In this case that is perfectly true. It is 2:22 pm and I have still not recieved our daughters results.Sincerely,Concerned Primary Parent
My expierience today was absolutely horrible. I recieved my covid test results by phone from them today and was told the day the test was done that I can come back if my symptoms didnt get better after testing negative. I went this morning with my children and was told to leave by Christina and that I can not be seen because I have a cough covid symptom ( as if their are no other medical reasons for a cough than covid). Although my covid test results from them came back negative and I was told the day I was tested that if i test negative I would be able to come back and they would try and get to the bottom of what was wrong. To have me and my children come to urgent care seeking medical help and being turned away for having a cough that was already known prior to testing and was told to return after I had a negative test. Me and my children waiting patiently for two days to get the results back just to be told to leave the second we got their. The nurses and staff working front desk were very polite and tried to be as as helpful as they were allowed to be and it is very much appreciated.
Yall suck for not seeing me. I realize COVID-19 is very REAL, but my symptoms caused yall to turn me away. I ended up going to the ER and the COVID test they gave me was negative and my diagnosis could have been handled in your facility. So thanks for not seeing me or helping me. To whoever reads this, I recommend Belleville Memorial for all your medical emergencies.
The ladies were all very nice and so is the doctor the only thing I didnt understand is there was absolutely nobody there at all but me and I had to sit in the room waiting for the doctor Im not sure if she was in a call or what but I didnt understand why I had to sit there and wait for a minute which Im still appreciative for what they had done she did help take away and alleviate some of my pain from a horrible inner ear infection. All in all though it was really a great experience they were very friendly and informative thank you for a great experience Angela rippy
I am extremely displeased with this walk-in clinic. For them to claim they are the best is laughable.Initially when I arrived at the clinic, it was late. They were about 20 minutes from closing, and I had just suffered an injury to my ear that required stitches. I called ahead to see if they would treat me since it was so late. They agreed and I arrived shortly thereafter. When I arrived, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. At first this place seemed great and I was relieved to be receiving treatment. 2 stars for friendly Staff and allowing me to be treated so late.Unfortunately, the treatment I received was definitely subpar. The wound was barely cleaned and mid suture, the doctor just about passed out and needed to sit down. I understand this happens, we are all human, BUT the two stitches she placed were loose and the tissue was not approximated correctly whatsoever. The stitches broke within less than 12 hours. I called the next morning and the doctor there at the time, told me there was not much more they could do other than superglue the tissue together. At this point they were busy and with covid, I did not want to risk exposure for a second round at this place. So, I then had to re approximate the tissue myself at home and then superglue it together. I am frustrated but I understand, okay these things happen. At this point I am $50 in the hole and then I receive a bill for $166.42. Okay I get it, insurance did not cover it, that is fine. After multiple attempts of calling and trying to pay the bill, mailing in attempts to pay the bill, I received a last chance letter to pay or be sent to collections. I finally get ahold of someone and I am able to make a payment. I receive a letter dated 11/24/2020 with a receipt attached thanking me for my payment. Low and behold 1 month later I am now being sent to collections. So now I am $216.42 in the hole for medical care that was essentially awful, and I am still being told I need to pay for it.This was all around a terrible experience. If I were you, Id think twice before choosing this place for care.
The staff was friendly but that’s only when I could reach them. I tried calling for hours to schedule a Covid test and then more wasted hours letting the phone ring for the results. The nurse was wonderful but she also scheduled our appointment. Maybe more staff is needed for scheduling and testing.
I wish I could give it a half star.I needed a covid test & called @ 8:30 when the opened to schedule one. I was informed I couldn’t schedule unless I emailed a picture of my photo ID and insurance so I did that. I called back to schedule the appointment & got no answer for 6 hours! I resorted to having my mom call from a different phone number and to no surprise she was able to get an answer right away, and schedule my appointment for me.I show up to the appointment and was instructed to park on the side of building and they would send me a link. No link was ever sent so I called to tell them I was there and to have them send the link. Again, no answer.. I waited outside and called for 34 mins before finally someone answered and sent me the registration link I had to do from my car.The link was for a video call, I then waited for the video call to start and that took 27 mins.I had now been outside waiting for my covid test for one hour and was the only car there. The video call started and the doctor asked me questions and then said “ a medical assistant would be walking out the side door any moment to do the swab”I waited ANOTHER 40 mins and begin calling again to see if they forgot I was out here.Again no answers.I called for 15 mins and finally the side door opened and a woman came out to swab me, all while giving me the annoying patient treatment. The entire experience was 10+ hours of me calling and being ignored/ and waiting in my parking spot at urgent care and being ignored.Literally the worst experience of my life.
Took my 9 year old in with 103 temp. Tech takes it as says 97.8 I was like not possible. Takes it again and gets 104 then says they can’t see her if over 103 and takes it again and gets 102. We go to a room dr comes in for about 5 minutes says her ear is red and she has an ear fever infection. Tells me to alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 2 hours (which isn’t correct) and when I questioned it she told me they were two different medications. Duh. She then leaves and we leave. Later my daughter continues to spike a high temp and have incredible pain and we go back to cardinal glennon where we were admitted for a kidney infection and we are still here. Not impressed at all.
I would give this place a zero star rating if it were an option. Went here since my regular doctor is on vacation and I needed to be seen right away. I have very good health insurance that I pay good money for and expected to be treated better. The one lady at the front desk was rude, unprofessional, and had a bad attitude towards the patients. She demanded money upfront, which I paid, only to be left waiting for two hours with nothing being done. Meanwhile the paper thin walls revealed that the doctor was busy just talking for over 45 minutes with the patient next to me, nothing medically, just random stories. So when I finally had enough of being ignored I asked the front desk lady for a refund. She rolled her eyes at me, with a dramatic sigh, and said she couldn’t do that. Long story short I had to contact upper management and let them know that if I didn’t receive my money back, that I would just call the police. I’m not going to accept paying someone for no services rendered! I can step on a scale at home and tell you how much I weigh, for free. The sign may say urgent care, but they are very untimely, and unprofessional. Just save yourself the hassle and don’t go here.
Very clean, nice building and they offer snacks and drinks as a courtesy. Unfortunately, my daughter and I had to visit while we were on vacation and we had an allergic reaction. There was only one other person waiting in the lobby so I didnt anticipate our wait to be long. WRONG. We were there 1.5 hours. While we were waiting, I was told by the front desk assistant that she could not verify our insurance (even though I provided her with my insurance card). She said she was on the phone with them and got disconnected and the internet or site wasnt working. Because of that, she said she would have to charge me $50 instead of our $20 co pay. She explained that when our insurance was verified we would be credited the excess. I was not happy to pay $50 but I knew I had insurance so I wasnt concerned. When we finally went back to see the doctor, we actually saw a nurse practitioner. He was very friendly but spent the whole exam Googling our symptoms. He also had 4 text threads going with other doctors, sending pictures to them to try and diagnose my daughter. She ended up being prescribed numerous antihistamines and he also told us to buy a specific cream. When we went to the local Walgreens we found out the cream was not over the counter, but instead a prescription. Of course, we didnt have a script so we couldnt get the cream. We did get the rest of her medicines without a problem. And guess what?! Walgreens had no problem verifying our insurance. Fast forward 3.5 weeks and I called to check on the status of my refund. It hadnt even been touched and the lady stated no one had followed up on it so she started working on it for me. Long story short, I received a phone call back from them that I would not be getting a credit because I had not met my deductible. I explained that I have a $20 co pay for urgent care and office visits but she said it is their policy to not collect the co pay and instead charge $80. Say what?! She said I should have been charged $80 for the visit and I was only charged $50. This makes no sense and it was never explained that way and it is highly frustrating that this happened. By the way, a nice office doesnt mean anything if you dont have good customer service. **Follow up** Their headquarters contacted me and I was issued my $30 since my co-pay was verified.
I called on a Sunday afternoon and made an appointment for 300pm on Monday afternoon for a Covud test. While I understand procedures are new and the office was busy, my experience was not what I expected since I made an appointment. It took 90 minutes for me to be registered in, thats 430 pm just to get registered when I made a 3pm appointment. I was sent a link to check in from the parking lot via telemed, after 30 minutes of waiting I called the office and the young lady seemed confused, she sent me another link to check in online, then proceeded to call me back and told me to come in and sign in, after signing in , it was almost another hour before I was acknowledged and was asked what my name was. Walk in patients were being helped before me, as where I understand I showed no symptoms and others may have been worse off than me, acknowledgment and communication is key, as to where I received none. Apologies were given but why make an appointment if you cant stand by and service that appointment time. Phones were ringing off the wall and while one receptionist was away administering tests, the other just let the phone ring. I am not a complainer and I didnt make a scene and I calmly waited my turn, I made reference to a colleague of mine that I woukdnt be surprised if it took a week for my results to come back or if I could trust what the results come back as.
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I had suffered from a large cut on my foot and was bleeding profusely. The “doctor” wiped it off with a DRY piece of gauze and slapped a bandaid on it. My wound was clearly open and not cleaned. I pray I do not get an infection or loose a tremendous amount of blood because of their negligence. It was extremely unprofessional. When the “doctor” walked in her first words were “well what are you wanting me to do?” In a very frustrated tone. My response was, “do the proper process to clean the wound and start the healing process”. She was very snarky and did not care one bit about the patient. The picture below is how my foot looked when I arrived at the establishment and when I left, I was still bleeding but, I had a bandaid on. A 3 year old could have done better than this “care center”.
When I was seen there the staff was nice, the place was clean, they have snacks which is nice, the provider was thorough he didnt rush me out the door. When I brought my daughter a while back the same thing. The care was to my expectations. They made her feel comfortable because her being young she was nervous. So I do recommend this place and I will be coming back if need be.
Was sent outside and told I had to call over the phone regarding COVID testing. Waited on hold for 20 minutes, which upset me because the woman who was answering calls was sitting inside doing nothing when I first entered just for the woman to tell me I had to do everything over email. (Google search says you don’t need an appointment and they do walk ins). Then when I read the card I was given there was no email address for me to send anything to. Ended up going to Walgreens because it was much simpler. All in all, poor planning, not a very welcoming environment, and extremely frustrating trying to accomplish anything here. Just go somewhere else
I went to the urgent care for the first time. They are very friendly, caring. I was in and out. Place is very clean and then even offer something to drink and a snack. . They called a couple days later to check on myself to see how I was feeling. One of the best urgent care I have been to.
It was clean the staff was very efficient and cordial. I was seen promptly by Dr.Chtistina . She was caring and knowledgeable. I was done within 40 minutes of arriving. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking urgent care services and they were following all the kovid-19 guidelines.
I went in for a migraine, the staff they were excellent, unfortunately I don’t remember their names, I was sick) was super efficient at getting me into a room and taken care of. My visit lasted less than an hour, and it was less than 1/10th of the cost of an ER visit, even with my great insurance!
Just moved to Illinois and needed to get my sutures removed , was guided to filling the paperwork since I was a new patient and was called within the next 5-10 minutes and taken care of ! Very nice and clean environment, highly recommend! ( & they offer snacks and beverages 👍🏼)
Feeling the worst I have felt in a long time, I checked the reviews on our Urgent Care in GC and was thrilled with the service. I am more than pleased to add to the 5 star rating. They were busy but the front staff and doctor took the necessary time to take care of folks in a reasonable and professional manner! Thanks for the great service UC! Much appreciated!
Not very urgent or caring. I made an appointment 2 days in a row just to get a simple physical for my daughter for school and I waited in the lobby over 2hrs both times. I do admit that I arrived at 9:10 for my 9:00 appointment on the second day, but its 11:45 now, I have had to call off work and I still have not even seen a physician. Im not sure what takes them so long but they need to fix it otherwise I will never be returning. Im only giving 2 stars because they offer snacks in the lobby thats it.
Nice employees, comfortable seating while You wait. Ive gone there 2 times and each time was alot less wait than the emergency room. Plus theres coffee ,chips, soda and water and a tv while You wait. And You know Yourself, everyone gets sick after doctor hours on a Friday night. Great experience, I will be telling everyone to go there if at all possible.
Total RIPOFF - got 2 invoices for over $250 for 1 covid test & office visit 2 months later, and I have good insurance and paid the $50 co-pay during visit from my car. Didnt help my issue either and got the covid results 6 days later. They r cheats & cons - stay away!!!!
I had a great experience today. Casey and Christina were friendly and efficient getting us checked in and vitals done. Spencer was friendly and thorough taking care of the reason for our visit. I would recommend this place to all who don’t want to deal with the expense and long waits at the ER.
Very nice and positive experience. My treatment was great! Waiting area comfortable and clean. Snacks and drinks out for anyone’s consumption. Staff was cheerful and friendly. Only thing I may suggest is that the staff wear name tags so they are visible. I do not know anyones name. No one introduced themself or told me who they were. But I was well cared for and pleased with my service. I would come back and I would recommend this urgent care center to anyone.
We called to try and get covid tests and a Jenessa answered our 3rd call after being hung up on the first two calls and was extremely rude. She sighed when she first answered the phone like she was fed up with us before she even began talking. she cut me off while i was trying to explain myself and abruptly hung up without saying anything after i said thank you and i would call back. terrible hospitality from someone in the healthcare industry.
Something was definitely wrong. I didnt know what and when my main doc was not to be seen and I had stayed on his call-off hopeful list for three days, I finally took his advice and went to Urgent Care. Glad I did.It took about two hours. No appointment. Walked in, was given the usual paperwork by a friendly staff member. Nice waiting room. Was called back. Another caring staff member did the prelims and then the Nurse Practitioner (Dont call him doc) came in. He knew his stuff. Within literally moments he made the call that connected all the dots, Pneumonia. A shot here, a shot there, a breathing treatment and I was out the door (Prescriptions to pick up later). MY one regret: that i hadnt come a couple days earlier. So, if youre thinking about coming to this place; just do it!
This is THE CLEANEST Urgent Care facility I have ever been to! The staff was awesome and accommodating. We went to this location on a whim as it was the only one open past 8pm. I am so happy we did! The staff was professional, friendly, and wonderful with my three year old! I will certinaly use this Urgent Care facility for all of our future needs.
Its such a shame that they dont answer their phones , or even make a attempt to check the front door when someone arrives for a covid-19 test. My daughter waited over 30 minutes hoping someone would come to door ,no response. She called no answer . I tried calling for over three hours no answer . Someone should be half accountable for their actions concerning all this .it says walk in but not true like I said no one answers phones or the door
Called in last night for an emergency covid testing considering my husbands loss of taste was the main red flag for the emrgency.$90, to say the least, is the cheapest out of pocket price one could pay for an individual covid test (health care should be free, dont get me started).Theyre well prepared with information, both in person and over the phone. Once having arrived at their parking lot, they did an initial questionaire over the phone (our facetime was wasnt working). The folks here administer the swabbing test, will give you a letter for excused absences, and you will be called with results within 2-4 days.Easy, simple, fast, efficient, sincere, warm and kind. The only down part: Not open 24-hours.
The ladies that works the front desk Are pure evil!! And in the wrong field it was so obvious that those ladies hated their job AND IM REPORTING THIS URGENT CARE TO THE STATE. I WALKED IN TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A COVID TEST THE LADY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO CALL TO SET IT UP OK COOL! I WENT OUTSIDE SET IN MY CAR CALLED THE NUMBER AND NOT ONCE NOT TWICE BUT THREE TIMES I TRIED CALLING. I WALKED BACK INSIDE TO LET THE LADY KNOW THE LINE WAS BUSY THE LADY SAID OH IM SORRY SHE MUST DIDNT HERE IT SO I STEP INSIDE THE WAITING ROOM CALLED BACK AGAIN 4TH TIME NOW PHONE RINGING RINGING WHILE THE LADY JUST TALKED AND LAUGH WITH HER CO WORKER THEN FINALLY ANSWERED AND PLACED ME ON HOLED 😱 I WAS LIVID
Well I tried to contact them for a covid test. They dont answer the phone I called 13 times no answer. I finally drove out there walked in told them why I was there they kicked me out. Said call make an appointment. I told them answer your phone so I can. So I left called 5 times they answer took my name and number said I will call back. Waited about 2 hrs. Finally I called another 7 times they picked up and I went off. They set me up my appointment at 12:45 that day. I drove out there again hit the FaceTime link to my phone they sent me. They picked up said they be right out there. I waited in the parking lot until 2:53 before they came and swabbed my nose. I will never go there or suggest anyone to get any test done there
Had to take my daughter to this clinic after the Walgreens was going to make us wait literally hours for an available appointment time, so we headed over to this UC clinic and wow! Impressed would be an understatement. We were seen within minutes. The doctor was absolutely wonderful with my anxious daughterThey had complementary snacks and drinksThe environment was cozy, clean and spaciousThe staff was beyond professional and helpfulThe services were efficient and thorough and this mom couldnt be happier! No more Walgreens!--Thank you so much.
VERY impressed with the entire staff!! I have been there 3x in 2mo. Between grandson and myself yesterday. Ive seen 3 diff Doctors there and Ive recommended 2 several ppl. Best experience in these types situations n many yrs. Im thankful u guys opened an office there!
I had no issues making an appointment last week and getting a covid test done on Thursday. My results came back negative and they left a voicemail on Sunday that I was good to go. Now heres where the issues started. My work requires that we have some documention showing that the test was negative and I can return to work. I tried calling this AM at 830. After 8 calls I finally got someone who told me to go to their portal and I shouldve gotten an email. I asked her to send this portal invite again. I havent received either portal invite as of yet and I tried calling back 13 times since then just to get some documentation that I can return to work. No answer......
I took my daughter in with trouble breathing, she has asthma. We walked right in, the front desk immediately responded to her having a hard time breathing without us saying a word. We were in a room in 5 mins and a breathing treatment was going in another 5. So kind and quick we were in and out in an hour with my baby feeling much better. They also called in and checked on a secondary insurance we had just been approved for, which I was still unfamiliar with. I wouldnt hesitate going back there ever and will be recommending to others. Thanks again ladies 😊
I took my daughter took get a school physical because Sundays are my only day off. The staff was very nice from Lisa at check in, Alexis, who took her vitals, and Danielle who did her physical. She even answered a concern I had about my daughter that didnt necessarily have to do with the physical. My daughter is a shy kid and she even said how nice Danielle was! The facility was clean and even had drinks and snacks!
I am from out of state, and was having stomach issues. I waited 10 minutes after completing paperwork, and was seen by a nurse, and then I think a nurse practitioner who was in contact with a doctor. Everyone was polite, and a very clean facility. The gave CVS a prescription and I was on my way. Great job.
Customer service EXCELLENCE! Thank you, Raven and GCUC staff for making a Q-tip brain invasion not too horrible! Theyre also very thorough in explaining what to expect when getting a rapid Covid test. The negative result was communicated to me before I arrived back home!
The medical needs were met. The overall professionalism, left some to be desired. Friendly in not a word I would use to describe the staff. Very little explanation of what the services would entail, sorta of a wham, bam, etc. There are other Urgent care centers in the area, we will use one of the others in the future.
I went in to get a covid test Sunday morning. I was told it would be 2-4 days for results. The office is ridiculously hard to get a hold of. The phone will ring endlessly before finally kicking you off the call. It is now Friday afternoon and I haven’t heard from them. The one time I was able to speak to a person on the phone, they were no help and simply told me they did not have my results 5 days later.
Took my son for a school physical because I’m from out of state and they were so helpful, kept the kids busy with free snacks and drinks, it was clean and the staff was nice. And they didn’t charge an arm and a leg. Twenty bucks without insurance. They made my bad day a little bit easier.
My daughter wasn’t feeling good so i made her an appointment at our local urgent care! I got in fast the staff was amazing and doctor Montgomery was very nice and Thorough, i will be using this as our go-to when our primary care provider is too busy or if its late or on a weekend thank you so much for putting a a+ facility in our city!!!!!
Was able to be seen after filling out paperwork. Dr was able to get to root cause of my medical issues and prescribe me medication to help me with the pain from coughing. I appreciate the staff making sure all of my information and things from my insurance company were all entered into the system correctly.
Needed to see a doctor on short notice. They were still open on Thursday evening at 8:30pm and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Obviously faster than my typical expected appointment experience with my normal doctor. They are polite, professional and nearly punctual.😎
Been twice this year & both times where very pleasant experience & staff I had to deal with where very friendly as well ,Would give five ⭐s on that aloneWait was a tad long but I totally on understand with what going on in the 🌎 @ this moment in time ,Thank You For What You Do 👍
I had a stye in my eye was right in right out within an hour the second day I came the first day I came I waited almost 2 hours there were a bunch of children with poison ivy so I ended up leaving before they seen me but the next day I wasnt even there an hour only thing I could suggest to make them better is one making same day appointments and two sending prescriptions to pharmacies quicker other than that awesome way better than going to the hospital
The only complaint I have is that they are very short staffed and very difficult to get them to answer the phones I know Im not the only one who has trouble getting through because I talked to 3 other people that had the same issue I had to call at least 5 times in a row and then the phone just hangs up they should at least have where you can leave a message or hire someone just to answer the phones. Its just frustrating when your sick and cant just walk in because of Covid 19 and you have to call and no one answers. other than that the staff was very nice. I dont blame the people who work there for being short handed. I know its not there fault
I went to Granite City Urgent Care on December 14th was sick with the bad cough they got me right in call me and some prescriptions were pretty sure that I had pneumonia sent me right down for x-rays to confirm it, by the time I got through with the x-rays my prescriptions were already ready at Walgreens. The staff was wonderful they couldnt have been any better . I had to go back a week later for another breathing treatment and they were excellent. I will go back there again if needed before I go to the emergency room. Thank you Granite City Urgent Care
Well ive been to this urgent care twice and i find it hard to believe that anyone who wrote nasty reports about this place has any right to. Both times ive been here ive been treated and taken care of very professionally and would definatly go back again! Both the help at the desk and the nurse practitioner were wonderful and caring! And yes they offer FREE drinks and snacks... I could write so much more but will refrain..
Went to urgent care because of a stomach bug... thinking I might be dehydrated...treated with less than respect by the nurse practioner... as if I was wasting her time... then told we arent supposed to see covid patients....never thought I had covid...and tested positive with their rapid test...very unprofessional and will never return
The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 was due to the wait I experienced during my visit. In all fairness, they had just opened for business that day and were dealing with some computer glitches that interfered with their patient flow. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The doctor performed a thorough exam and paid attention to what I had to say. She carefully attempted to select the appropriate meds that would not interact with the meds I was taking for other conditions and even talked to the pharmacists about changing one of the medications she originally prescribed. The doctor answered any questions I had and did not make me feel rushed. I will return there again should the need arise.
So my son came in because he had a 102 fever and contact with RSV. Before I even filled out that paperwork in the waiting room, he threw up all over the floor. They cleaned up the mess with no issue and were very sympathetic about it, which is why Im not giving them a 1. However, when we finally got to speak with a doctor, she listened to his symptoms and told us there was nothing wrong with him and didnt even test him for anything. The next day, he woke up with a fever of 104.2, and now we have to go to our pediatrician to find out whats wrong. Another bill to pay for urgent care that did absolutely nothing to help him.

2022-07-22Had an emergency and they gave me an appointment to come on in. I was seated in a room before my appointment. I was checked and out the door in 20 minutes. Glad Granite City has this option other than the hospital. Used over the years and no wait times. Staff was definitely professional in my situation and caring too. Highly recommend them.

2022-03-06Very good visit!! We were able to stay in our car and speak with the provider on our phone and a nurse came to our car and tested my daughter for covid, strep throat and flu. We never had to get out of the car. Awesome!! Staff was very nice!!!

2022-07-16Very long wait. Arrived at 10a only availability was 1245. Came in for foot injury they can only wrap you up and refer you to ER for imaging. Just go to ER to save time. I wasnt helped out of the door while on crutches arriving or leaving. Very relaxing atmosphere just needs to improve on common courtesy or hospitality.

2022-04-09Pretty nice staff. My experience was a bit unsatisfactory though. After a deep puncture would in my thumb i arrived at the urgent care and was told they do not have the capability to cleanse a deep wound.. I believe this is more of a Covid testing facility than a urgent care facility. It was my first time going to an urgent care so maybe this is normal, but I just thought like what’s the point of this place…

2022-05-28The staff was exceptional! Leandrea was my MA and she was very through asking questions, explained my tests, very professional and at the same time, calming. Meghan B was my appointment coordinator that walked me through paperwork, billing, what to expect. Great front desk appointment coordinator. NP was David and he was terrific as well !!! Great bedside manner. Listened to me tell my side of what was going on .. then took action to honestly figure out what was causing my symptoms. Absolutely great team !!!!! A+. Well done ! Thanks Leandrea, Meghan and David .

2022-05-10The folks here were quick, professional and the rooms were clean and sanitized. Got the test results back within minutes instead of days. Sorry I can’t recall their names but were great. Only place I’ll go back to.

2022-06-30My review would have been 3 stars if it weren’t for the wonderful front desk and nursing staff. Some of the nicest people in healthcare I’ve come across however Dr. Lee needs to work on his bedside manner. He just kind of made me feel weird and bad about things not pertaining to the reason I visited.

2022-03-07My experience was great, I had broke out in hives due to new med. I am sure they could see how bad I was. They took me right in at 8:30, left at 8:55. By 9:47, got text from Walmart for script. I felt employees along with the NP. Were very professional and compassionate of my condition. Glad my daughter referred me there.
