I cant say anything bad about any services that I have received in the past 12 years since I bought my last car from them. The service department is always bent over backwards for me and trying to get repairs done in a timely fashion and always quality work has been done thats why I recently bought my 2022 Subaru Forester from them as well and hope and know I will have a great experience for the next 10 or 12 years.
When I walked in they immediately made me feel like I was surrounded by family they didn’t treat me like a dollar sign. They treated me like a person that needed help making the right decision of buying a car. The sales person Mark he was amazing he know the answer for every question I ask him he made me feel very comfortable making the decision on buying my car because he treated me with respect and not like a dollar sign. They treated me so well that two week after we bought my wife’s car I bought my car and my sister bought hers.
My Subaru was in need of service, and Grand Subaru took great care to keep me informed of progress on my car, was able to use a loaner while it was being serviced, and the friendly staff and knowledgeable mechanics helped make the whole experience pleasant. Grand Subaru for exceptional customer service and great car service.
Car buying was relatively easy here, my problem with this dealer is that Ive been getting the run around on getting my service agreement refunded for over 4 months and going. This business will do whatever they can to make the sale but then ignore you once they have your money. Beware.Edit: Grand Subaru reached out to me and made the situation right. It took a while but I appreciated the response.
Greg Yanik is Excellent at what he does. He is the best service advisor, very knowledgeable at explaining technical aspects of the car. He does this with very polite and happy attitude and gets your car done quick at a very fair price. The whole service department is fantastic but Greg is the best. Highly Recommend going to him, I have been been getting my cars serviced from last 5+ years and they do a phenomenal job. Sharlene from sales is very nice and helpful as well, she sold me the car and was very honest from day 1 unlike other dealerships.
I contacted Andrew Jennings whom I have a history with on Thursday May 19, 2022 regarding purchasing a vehicle. I waited and waited with no response so therefore I contacted him on today May 28, 2022. He sent me a text saying Matt would be contacting me. When Matt contacted me I asked him why it took so long, his reply was he had just received my information. I asked that my application be withdrawn. I then text the same to Business Manager Andrew Jennings, he then proceeded to run my credit after I asked that my application be withdrawn. I feel this was done in retaliation and I will be reporting this and Andrew Jennings to the Better Business Bureau. 1 star is too much
Hi,I am a returning customer to this place. My first time experience was great and I also referred couple of my friends to this place but when I returned to this place for my second car they turned out to be commercial. They tried to charge me more on MSRP for a new car purchase because of which I had to go to a different dealership. There is no value for being a loyal customer. Will not go back to this place again. V disappointed.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE PRICING ON THE SITE. I inquired about a 2022 wrx and apparently the dealership put all these extra add ons totaling 5k because someone else was soooo interested in buying it. The car is still there so how did that work for you?The website has it listed at the 40,378 though and wait for you to go through all these steps before letting you know that youll be paying all this extra money.Have fun selling the car and explaining to the next potential buyer why they will be paying over MSRP for a car with someone elses add-ins.I reached out to Subaru customer support directly to address the situation and express my experience with this particular dealership and their salesperson Cameron. They are actively looking into this.
Caution! Double-check your vehicle and warranties before leaving the dealer. Bought a vehicle from this dealer— 1 tire was different from the other 3. I also bought a warranty and the day after I got a flat tire; I was told that the dealership had not submitted the paperwork and therefore the warranty could not go into effect immediately. Lastly, they made me wait for over 3.5 hours before being told “are you ready to sign your life away!?”. A strange and unpleasant experience.
I had the pleasure of working with Mark throughout my Grand Subaru experience. With his help, I was able to obtain my 2022 Crosstrek in Cool Gray Khaki, which is not an easy feat in this market! Mark worked with me before, during, and even after purchasing to guarantee my satisfaction and comfort with my new Crosstrek.Additionally, the sales team was helpful and accommodating, making my actual purchasing time and experience smooth and efficient.Already, I am loving my Crosstrek. Though I am a first-time Subaru owner, I can promise that I (and my husband!) will be back for a Subaru when it is time for him/us to purchase a new car. Thank you so much!

I was trying to purchase a 2015 Hyundai Genesis from Kiril at Grand Subaru. I drove all the way up there on a Saturday because his schedule said he was available 9a-9p and it turns out they closed at 5. Okay, wasted a 2 hour drive. So I told him I was available Wednesday to purchase the car but he was off that day. Instead of passing it to someone else he agreed to have me come in on Thursday at 5 to purchase the car. Well the car sold 3 hours before I’m supposed to come buy it. Thanks for wanting a sale so badly that I couldn’t come in the day i was available and missed out on my dream car. Absolutely devastating customer service.
I love my new Subaru Forester but watch out for the loan officer at this location. Stick up queen. I had an appointment for my first oil change 3rd in line waiting for them to open. All the customers were immediately taken to a desk for customer service but not me. I had to wait. ✋ 😩 I was finally taken to a desk but my customer service man was off wondering around. 🤔 so no 5 stars.
I’m on my 3rd Subaru and I have 3 Subaru dealers, all 10-15 miles away. Most of my time has spent at dealer East of me, but after a bait and switch buying experience I switched to dealer SW. The atmosphere there was frigid, rigid and autocratic with all employees nervous and covering their xxx. I couldn’t stand the atmosphere after 2 maintenance visits and went back to Dealer East, but over time they lost good employees and became more like dealer SW, where a real smile was a rarity.Contrast this to my first experience today with Grand Avenue. The moment I opened my car door I sensed good working conditions. People seemed happy to work there, happy to help each other as well as help customers. I can see why they are ranked so highly among Subaru dealers. I was thinking of switching from Subaru for my next car but today may have changed my mind. The irony is my experience was not only pleasant, but efficient at every step. (Being pleasant does not take more time!) This is a well managed (and not micro managed) establishment. It may be a few miles further but well worth the drive for me. Kudos to everyone I encountered from the check in folks to the cashiers and everyone in between. Thank you! I’ll be back, for sure.
Just like any dealership, Grand Subaru is out to make money. I brought my Forrester in because my key fob wasnt working and I believe it needed to be reset, or worst-case I needed a new key. (Yes, I checked and replaced the battery in the key fob.) I had an appointment made for 11am. After filling out the paperwork, it was probably close to 11:30 that my car was actually looked at. After waiting nearly 2 hours with a hungry, crabby toddler, my car was brought back to me with the report that the computer in the back of the car was malfunctioning- it looked like the car was rear-ended at one point and repaired but this computer was never replaced. The car was in fact rear-ended and repaired, and I was aware of that. The service person told me that it would be about $500 + labor to replace this computer which would in turn cause the key to work properly again. I was kind of surprised because the key had previously been working fine... it just some how suddenly stopped working, as did my dome lights too, ironically, as I further told the service person. He assured me that this was definitely due to the computer. I wasnt so sure. I declined the ordering of the computer at that time, and took my car home. After discussing this problem with a friend of mine, he suggested I check the fuses. Sure enough, the fuse that powered the dome light was shot. After replacing that fuse, not only did my car light up, but my key worked as well!You mean to tell me that the service department at Grand Subaru did a full car inspection, didnt notice the dome light that didnt work, and didnt have the presence of mind to even check the fuses? Instead, try to get me to purchase a $500+ computer that I didnt even need? Sure, I feel like an idiot for not thoroughly checking the fuses myself, but I am extremely disappointed that a dealership that operates for a good company like Subaru would try to take advantage of a customer like this. I would have been much more satisfied if they would have charged me the $75 labor charge and replaced the simple fuse, rather than attempt to get me to buy something I didnt need at all. Unacceptable. Subaru can do better than this.
These guys are awesome! Good prices and this was honestly the easiest and most honest vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. I did not feel pressured or coerced at all throughout the process and all the staff were genuine people. I will go back to Grand Subaru if I need another Subaru!
I took my car in last week for a recall, had to keep it in the shop for a week so they gave me a 2021 Subaru Outback which I was not mad at, they finished my car and did an amazing job with it. If you need any work on your cars I HIGHLY recommend this place, the front desk lady at the service was amazing and super helpful and friendly. My adviser Greg was even nicer. Thank you grabs Subaru.
Easy and painless experience. Take the time to reach out to Grands before accepting another offer anywhere. They found the exact car we wanted, got it to the dealership, and had us driving it home quickly and easily. I will buy here again if I get the chance. After getting a low battery warning with my key fob, I changed the battery myself but had a hard time closing the unit. I took the pieces to the parts department and Sam Lemonoudas came to the rescue. He used parts from old fobs to replace the springs that were ascended. Because of their great customer service, I did not have to replace our key fob. Thanks Parts Team!
Grand Subaru exceeded all of our expectations. This was our first time here and we will only come back to them from now on! Every staff member was knowledgeable and friendly. Joe, our Service Advisor, really listened to our concerns with the car. We ended up doing a 60,000 mile service and my car is good as new. They also fixed a rattling noise that two other shops failed to fix. These guys know Subaru’s.
Gabriel Talpos was our sales representative let me tell you it was a great experience during this whole pandemic he had me My wife and my newborn in and out in about 30 minutes could not thank him enough! Thank you to the Grand Subaru dealership that made it so simple for us! Wish more dealers were like this hassle free explained everything took care of us even gave our kids snacks while we waited! Which they loved! We would definitely come back and definitely recommend Gabriel to all our family thanks again for making our purchase hassle free
Theres nothing better than a dealership with awesome cars and great people to help you out! One of my first thought about car buying, in general, is if the sales rep tries to ram a car down my throat, Im leaving right away! That did not happen, rather, I was kindly greeted and assisted by the sales staff in a very professional manner, but down to earth! I wanted a WRX and thats where our conversation stayed, I wasnt brushed off, I wasnt given a counter offer for a car I did not want!! To be treated like a customer and to be listened to, Grand Subaru does it right!
Im not actually a customer at this particular Subaru location. But while I was here with a friend I seen that they have 1 yellow Camaro, 1 yellow corvette and 1 silver corvette on their street display. I was very disappointed to see that. As an avid Subaru enthusiast that hurt to see. When I know there is a nice STI or 2020 Sport forester and maybe an accent that can go in those spots. Them Chevys should be on the sidelines. The only good thing about it, is I know they traded that junk for new Subarus. All in all I have no complaints about said dealership. But their front display.

2022-02-115/5 Service. Although I spent a bit more than I was hoping diagnosing an airbag fault code, Greg was an excellent service advisor who has great listening skills. I found a TSB on the exact issue, and Greg advised the tech, who then confirmed the issue. Great communication throughout the entire process and the fact that I had a 2021 Outback Touring while all work was being performed left a lasting impression on me.I will continue to drive from Chicago to have my car serviced here. Glad I can trust Grand to perform work.

2022-03-05I wish I could give more than 5 stars to the team here at Grand Subaru Bensenville. They could not have made the car buying process any easier. Matt Drwal helped me 3 years ago when I leased my Subaru Impreza and then I came back to him to buy an Ascent as a gift to my husband. He went out of his way to answer all my questions and help me make the best choice- and he was here three years later. That alone tells you so much that the employees stay and they are like family. We had purchased our Forester from another dealer in the area and had no where near the same buying/service experience- and will only be coming here for both. We are Subie lovers for life and everyone here really sealed the deal and made the whole experience so fun. I may have not gotten my huge bow- but I know I truly got the best price with Chelseas help in finance.PS- the air smells ridiculously good in the whole dealership - they have this thing in their air vent. It was the first thing my husband noticed when he came- just goes to show you they pay attention to the smallest details!

2022-05-09Simply the best dealership to get service done. Very professional and they even know what my preferences are as far as test drives and washing are. This is my second car purchased from them. I never had any warranty issues and the work done, was done well. The mechanics take pride in their work to keep the subies going! Other places need to take lessons from them. Thank you Grand Subaru. I hope you can maintain this Gold Standard of Service.

2022-05-16Went in to test drive a car on lot , 2022 WRX for my wife. That car had been sold so we where going to order one today.They added 3000 in insurance “stuff” ( windows tires paint) on top of list and refused to even sell/ order for list as “ everyone is charging 5000 over list now we are only charging 3000 over list”Well we drove to another dealer and ordered and put a deposit on the same car at a little under list. Great deal No, but it’s also about a 3400 dollar cheaper purchase on the exact same car with taxes and the markets tough right now.Jeff the salesperson was professional and nice but I’m sorry to say not enough to cover 3 gs worth.My wife stated he was one of the nicest car salesman she had ever met. Ive likely purchased 40 + cars in my life. She has met a lot of them. That a good complement.By there reviews they seem to be a nice run dealership, but they sure didn’t earn our business today.

2022-04-12The customer service is absolutely amazing. I drove over 200 miles just to buy a car from them. Then when I had a problem that a local dealer refused to fix, I called up Grand Subaru. They stand by their word and came drove the 200 miles to give me a loaner and bring my car back to fix without a problem. Very highly recommend them! I worked with Matt and he was beyond helpful.

He went out of his way, over and above, to try and get me into a vehicle that was right for me! Unfortunately, I decided, not to buy at this time. Even with my decision, he reached out to make sure I was satisfied. No pressure at all, and that is what I want when I am buying a car! Great dealership!

2022-01-08We had a great experience with Grand Subaru. Recently our 2021 SUBARU Outback would not start. We called AAA who came out and jumped the car but told us the battery was low. Having less than 5000 miles on the car we wondered what was wrong. We called Subaru, talked to Mr. Miller who directed us to John. John proceeded to set up a service to pick up the car in Chicago and give us a loaner. Later in the day the car was returned after a thorough system check. They assured us that all was in working order and possibly the dome light was on and put a drain on the battery. We are unsure how that came about. We had just had service at Subaru two weeks prior.Not only were we relieved as we depend on an exceptional vehicle which Subaru provides but because we are seniors we want reliable transportation. Throughout the whole process John kept us informed as to the status of our vehicle. It was delivered to our condo in Chicago the following day by Fred. What a nice man. Thank you John, Mr. Miller, and Fred for making this a very good experience. This is our third Subaru which tells you we have confidence in Subaru.Thank you,Jeff and Mary Ann Nelson
