I’ve been going to the Gordon location in Highland Park for about 12 years. Each stylist I’ve had has been professional, well-trained and friendly. I always have confidence that I will leave the salon satisfied and feeling good about my hair. I also love the Aveda products.
Amazing how a great cut can make your day! And my husbands reaction - you look younger- was the icing on the proverbial cake! From the warm greeting of front door staff to my stylist, Erens professional touch, I am more than pleased with this salon.
I have been going to Gordon for several years, after trying a few different stylists I found Kelsey. I have curly, unruly hair which she has managed beautifully. Kelsey has given me a great cut every single time, I get so many compliments on my hair and it makes me happy to have such a great easy to care for look.
I have been coming to Gordon Salon in HP for over 20 years! They have made me feel so comfortable over the years that I don’t want to go anywhere else. Michele has always been my hair stylist, and she’s very talented! She’s also a good listener, as she collaborates with me on all of my “dos”—Thanks, Michelle! If ever I want something a little different, everyone there has made it a comfortable-enough atmosphere for me so that I can say so without feeling awkward. I appreciate that! After COVID, I’ve been cutting back a little bit on my salon spending and just getting color. Nick has been great. Besides that, I love a good hand or head massage! Thanks, Gordons!-Andrea Chusin
Today I met Eren. She was outstanding. I love how kind she was. She really listened to what I was looking for. My highlights turned out beautiful. My haircut turned out perfect. My husband gave me very nice complements when I got home. He was happy I was happy. Eren was nice to chat with as well. I will be looking forward to seeing Eren next time. The Gordon Salon in Highland Park is very nice. Great and friendly staff. I have found a new salon and stylist and I could not be happier.

I w been searching for an Aveda salon since I moved to the area last year and I think I’ve finally come home. Nic gave me a great cut and gorgeous highlights. He listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and really came through. Highly recommend. He loves what he does and it shows. Gordon Salon is middle of the road with their pricing. High enough so you know you’re paying for quality, yet affordable. I’m looking forward to my next appointment.
First of all, the salon is extremely clean and very compliant with Covid-19 protocols. I felt very safe. The receptionist was lovely and Kelsey is a terrific stylist. Great haircut! I will be a loyal client from now on.
Eren always gives me a terrific haircut, and everyone has always been reliable. I have been using Gordon exclusively since moving to the North Shore three years ago and will not ever be changing. Love them!
I had Nic, he was very nice and he helped me picked out between two pictures! He made sure I liked everything and let me know what was happening throughout the haircut. They use Aveda products that made my hair sooo soft and smell so good.
2 years ago I switched to this salon and it was life changing! Michelle is hands down the absolute best! She has the perfect eye to know what color and cut works with your face. I look forward to my appointment every month and the pampering spa experience that they offer. The owner Tony is top notch and has worked hard to build the best salon around!
Very welcoming. Close attention to Covid restrictions and screening and cleanliness. Kelsey is excellent colorist and stylist and does her work professionally and with welcoming warmth. All other staff excellent.

I had a great experience at Gordon Salon. From the second I walked in until the moment I left it was great. Koral did a phenomenal job on my hair. She discussed ideas with me and walked me through each step of my color. It turned out exactly as she explained and I love it. I will definitely be coming back!
Highlights fine and look great, new cut is awesome, super nice stylist (Kelsey), friendly all-around! 👍However, I’ve never been to a salon where they charge a regular customer (almost 3 years) for a bang trim!

I’m not much for doing my hair and I’m not much for reviews. So this review alone is enough evidence in just how awesome my experience with Kelsey was. She was so patient with my indecisiveness and very collaborative with my overall vision that it made getting a balayage (never thought I would use that word) and taking off nearly 7” worth of hair a magical experience! Kelsey is a rainbow unicorn disguised as a fierce, yet kind hair stylist armed with some amazing scissors and I could not have imagined a better experience. Aveda salons are my absolute favorite and in my very strong (and never wrong) opinion, if Kelsey isn’t handling your locks, are you even living?

Had a Haircut With Pablo and he did a fantastic job! multiple warm towels on the face, massage, 2 shampoos and a great clean up to my longer hairstyle. cleaned up my neckline perfectly as well, left very happy. had a great conversation about his huge vinyl collection and stereo stuff, we were both very into music. Highly Recommend Pablo to anyone!

Really sweet people. Very patient and have always been very accommodating when I come in not really knowing what I want. Peyton is a wonderful young woman with a lot of talent. First person to cut and color my hair and find a style the I can actually replicate at home! Now thats talent. Additionally, Ive seen both owners in the HP salon and as someone who runs a small business in HP I really appreciate seeing them and watching the interactions with the employees. Of course I cant leave out the fact that the place smells FANTASTIC - its an Aveda salon so you cant go wrong.
UPDATE: PRICES WENT WAY UP? And - for this sort of money I dont expect SCREW-UPS like cutting my hair the wrong length or coloring my entire head, not leaving ANY grey! What do you do then? And they didnt, at THESE PRICES, offer to fix it! Gordon Salon is highly recommended if you want hair magic. Hair artists are amazing and costly. 2 stars for cost and elitist attitude of some stylists.
I highly recommend Gordon Salon in Highland Park for their friendly professionalism. Maria does a great job balancing my hair with hi & lo lights, and Koral is tops on cutting and styling. I really enjoy the ambiance and love their range of Aveda products.
Both my husband and I have had great hair cuts from Eren at the Gordon Salon in Highland Park. We have recently moved here from out of state, and had been going to the same stylist for 25+ years. Changing to a new stylist could have been traumatic, but Eren listened to what we wanted in a hair cut. She gave us excellent cuts and we feel like we have found a new home.

Ive been going to Gordon Aveda for the past 10 years. I always feel Im pampering myself when I get my haircut here. From the hand and scalp massage to the delicious tea that is served to the terrific haircuts I receive, I am never disappointed! I have sent friends to Gordon and they have all been return customers!

2022-04-02BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!I had a really good..I would say the best experience i’ve ever had getting my haircut. It was my first time going there and people are super duper nice. From the moment you walk in the door, everyone was so welcoming and so helpful. Brittany (i’m not sure if that’s how her name is spelled), the lady that did my hair, was soooo nice! She really did a great job with my hair. I would definitely come back!!

2021-07-24I highly recommend this salon. I moved to HP 2 years ago from another state and started using this salon. I have used 3 different stylist (Kasey, Sara and Nick) and they are all amazing. They are very professional and do such a good job on my highlights and haircut. Nick recently did something very kind for me at a time I needed it most. All of the staff is so nice and helpful. They have done a great job during Covid making everyone feel safe.

2021-07-07I just moved to the area and went to Gordon because of good online reviews. Sarah gave me highlights. She did exactly what I asked her the first time but realized later I needed an adjustment to make it slightly darker. I came back and she adjusted it no questions. She was skilled, professional, positive and pleasant both times. Highly recommend Sarah at this Salon! I will return.

2021-09-03I was referred to this salon and stylist Kelsey when we recently moved to the local area. Kelsey is fabulous and is talented with cuts, coloring, and styling. She is very authentic, professional, and caring. She really advocates for her clients and the well being of their hair. I am so happy working with Kelsey on my hair since moving to the area. Also, given the pandemic, the salon has been really great when it comes to cleaning protocols and safety. I so appreciate that! Overall, lovely salon, Kelsey is a beautiful person and stylist!

2021-09-08I took advantage of the free service offered as a result of my last experience and it was MUCH better.I was cheerfully greeted at the front desk by sara and Brittany. I then received a great haircut from my talented stylist Sara. Afterwards, I was thanked and again cheerfully acknowledged by a tall young woman (unfortunately, I don’t know her name) at the desk. This was probably the best experience I have had at this location in the two years I have been going! I understand that stylists may not always be available to greet /check me in, however the personality that they showed today was exactly what this place needs more of! Please find more employees like the ones I interacted with today! EXCELLENT!
