This pass was perfect for our first trip to Chicago. We saw all the popular tourist attractions with the Hop On Hop Off bus tour, enjoyed the beautiful architecture cruise, and went to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was definitely the best way to tour Chicago!
I was in Chicago for only 1 weekend. I thought getting this pass would let me easily get in to all the attractions I wanted. Unfortunately this wasnt the case. I had to wait in long lines and was even turned away from the Willis (Sears) tower sky deck because the Go pass isnt accepted on weekends. The website made it sound like you could visit any time, but if you go in and find the hours of the attraction you will find that it has modified hours for the Go pass. Update: This business updated their website after I disputed this with my credit card and tried to use the new updated website as proof that I didnt pay attention to the disclosures that they never posted. Thankfully I had screenshots as proof.
Absolutely worth the price! We bought the 5 day All - Inclusive option and covered a lot of the Chicago attractions offered. Not giving it 5 stars because some of the attractions were hard to access for pass holders. The attendants at these places didnt know how to accept our passes or some places required reservations which was not clearly stated in the description on the website. Overall a great idea to purchase these and save some money!
Its a challenge to get full value for this, especially if you buy the one day pass. It takes a while to get between locations, and events have lines. If you buy it, you might be inclined to do some things that are now free which you wouldnt have done before. That can be a good thing, but whether or not its value will be up to you.I think we just about broke even, but only after a second trip on the wheel at Navy Pier which we wouldnt have done if we had been paying. We did our first spin before buying the pass.If youre at the Pier, know that on the rides they can scan one persons pass for multiple people. So if you have two adults and three kids, one kid pass can get all three on the swings. That way you dont have as many printed tickets to look out for, and if you have an unused pass its a bit easier to give away.I think this pass will work best for families that are determined to make a full day of it in Chicago, beginning earlyish and finishing after dinner. Watch out for locations that only accept the pass midweek.
Cheaper if compared to the individual attractions tickets. They have 2 years time period to activate the ticket and if you activate it you can use for 60 days. One drawback is, you must visit go Chicago counter to get the original attraction tickets even though you are buying online.
The Go Chicago passes are the most amazing way to do tourist attractions. We saved so much time and money in places like the Sky Deck and on the architecture River cruise. We used this pass last year in July and now that we actually live in Chicago we definitely recommend these. So helpful! Even boat tours? Amazing.
Bought explorer pass for five attractions and after getting tickets came to know we need to pay extra for Tilt in 360 chicago and also can’t visit Willis tower due to they accept limited Go chicago passes and we came to know that after we went there and also they said our pass is not accepted only Tuesday to Thursday not on weekends. It’s so useless. Because of this we lost half of our days too and missed some other attractions in our trip. Be careful while buying it’s better not to go with this pass and waste your money and vacation time.
I purchased the Go Chicago card for my family of 4 over spring break. We had an amazing time and loved the convenience of the card! The all- inclusive pass was well worth the price, as we were able to skip the long lines (although there is still some wait time to enter most places) and enjoy lots of activities during our 3 day trip! Our favorites were Shedd Aquarium, Big Bus Tour, Sky Deck, Architecture river cruise, and Lego Land. I hope more cities are added soon , as I loved that my planning was a breeze!!
The Go Chicago Card was a perfect purchase for a short 2.5 day trip to the city. We did not have firm plans before going but the Go Card allowed us to see what we wanted to do because of the many options it offered and then we worked what we wanted into our schedule once we got there. Architecture Cruise was fantastic as well as the hop on hop off bus tour.
We used the Go Chicago all-inclusive pass for Spring Break with our young kids. It was perfect. We were able to adjust our plans when lines were too long or the weather wasnt cooperating or they just felt like doing something different without jumping through any hoops. My husband and I had the app with our passes on both our phones, so we didnt have to worry about keeping track of coupon books or a bunch of tickets. There were a ton of options to choose from. We all had a blast and I would definitely recommend the Go Chicago Card to anyone.
I was a little hesitant about purchasing Chicago Go City Cards for our family as we have never used a Go Card...it was an excellent decision. We purchased the two day pass and saw so much, and saved so much! The first day we took advantage of the hop on and off pass, and went to the Willis Tower, the Shedd Aquarium, the Adler Planetarium and the Navy Pier. On the second day, we did the Chicago Theater tour, took local transit to the Science Museum, and did the Chicago Escape room.
Go Chicago card is worth the cost as long as you actually make the effort to visit as many sites as possible. We literally set up a board and planned our days accordingly. The activities were well chosen and each was unique, even the water related tours. The museums are huge so be generous in your time allotments. We definitely got our moneys worth on our trip.
We had a great time using the Go Chicago Card. It took only 5 min to go online, pay for the go card, and download the app to our cell phones. The instructions on the app helped us to find exactly where we should go for fast entry into different venues. We experienced a lot more of Chicago with the Go Chicago Card than we would have without the card. Wed definitely purchase the card again if we get back to Chicago. As one recommendation to other travelers - you can extend your days on the hop-on-hop-off tour for only $5 per day. We used the tour every day to get to the different sites on the Go card.
The Go Chicago Card was super easy and efficient to use. It was especially nice because we didnt have to stand in line for tickets at the attractions we went to. Flexibility was also great - it was nice to know that we didnt have to make our plans super concrete and we could go with the flow of how we were feeling on that particular day. I would definitely do the Go Chicago Card again and would even search for them in other cities for future vacations.
Not the time to buy these passes. I paid 650 for our familys passes & we werent able to use them at the Willis Tower or Shedd Aquarium due to limited capacities & limited days of availability. We could have just paid for Field Museum & MSI & saved almost $500. Emailed the company & didnt hear back. Called the company, was put on hold & they hung up on us. Dont look for any customer service with this company.
We loved having the Go Chicago Card to adventure wherever we wanted to in the two days we were there. There were more options than we could possibly take advantage of. However, it was nice to be able to just go explore each place and not feel like you had to spend the whole day there if you really didnt want to. Allowed for flexibility for our family of 5. I highly recommend and will do again. We have also used the Go San Diego Card, love that one too!
I purchased my Go Chicago Card online and all worked very well. I am glad I got the card as it saved me a lot of money. I was not there for very long and it would have been cool if the card was valid for 24 hours instead of one day (daytime). I arrived at lunchtime and definitely got my moneys worth but would have loved to do more the following morning. I would definitely recommend to get a Go Card and would do so again myself.
The Go Chicago Card is a great value! We had the two day unlimited option and was able to do more than we had planned. It was nice having the freedom to do whatever we wanted without worrying about cost while out sightseeing. The costs we saved by having the Go Chicago Card was definitely worth it! Highly recommend!
My husband and I spent a long weekend in Chicago for our anniversary this summer. We purchased the 2 day all-inclusive Go Chicago Cards and we were not disappointed! We purchased the cards on sale, which made the value even better, but by the end of day one, we had already saved over the regular price of admission, so by day 2, every attraction we went to, it was like going for free! I would absolutely recommend purchasing the Go Chicago Card!
Very easy to use Go Chicago Card. I bought 5 day pass for my 6 year-old daughter and me. The card provides a full list of activities playing with kids. And the unexpected surprise is that the card is not a basic one, it always covers some other additional choice of movies or activities in museums.
This is the second time I have used the Go Chicago Card and it is still fantastic!! My family loved using the hop on and hop off bus to learn about the city and to stop at some of the key sites. We were able to avoid almost all of the lines and see and do at least 12 of the offerings on the card. The family favorites were the Tall Ship Windy,, the hop on and hop off bus, Shedd’s aquarium, and the Escape room. The icing on the cake were the free gifts of Garret’s popcorn and the sling bag.
Buying this was one of the best decisions I took when my family and I were visiting chicago. We not only saved a lot of money but also had peace of mind while travelling because we knew exactly what we should be doing at what time. The Big bus tours helped a lot as well. The redeeming process was smooth and simple and we were welcomed warmly at every location we went to as a go-card owner. I would highly recommend this card to everybody. Its worth even if you visit 50% of the locations.
The Go Chicago Card was an amazing deal! We used the 5 attraction Explorer Pass, and we had an amazing time. We never would have went on the Architecture Boat tour without it, and that was our favorite experience of our trip! It was great to be able to skip lines because we already had tickets, and at Willis Tower there is a special line for Go Card users, which was convenient during a busy time. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that the information on the app is sometimes confusing and inaccurate about the attractions (like the boat tour, which was open later than the app said, so we were able to use it when we thought we couldnt instead of having to come back to Navy Pier at another time).
I discovered the Go City Card in the last city of our trip to USA. I wish I knew about it at the start of our trip, as I would have purchased the card in most of the other cities we visited. The Chicago card included nearly everything that we wanted to do or visit and was much cheaper than the entry costs of these places if we paid the advertised general admission fee. Also this card included many more attractions which werent on our to do list, which we ended up doing and enjoying. The app is very useful and user friendly. When we were done with one attraction and we realised we had some spare time, we would look up what else was nearby and included in the card to see what else we could fit in/do.I would definitely recommend this card for Chicago and would definitely look at purchasing a similar card for other cities next time I go on a holiday.
We had a great trip to Chicago, mainly because of the go Chicago card. It made things easier to plan and gave us access to venues like the aquarium where we didnt have to wait in long lines to get a ticket. We also figured up with the venues and activities we did with the card and if we had not purchased the card we wouldve spent nearly double the cards cost in only one day. This card is definitely worth it and I would reccommend it to anyone who is traveling somewhere they have never been or whether you want to see the sights in places youve already been.
SO GLAD we did this! We decided last minute to purchase the 2-day GO Chicago card and it was totally worth it. We were able to go to all of the museums and sights we wanted for one low-ish price. Although it seemed like a lot at the time, it saved so much and if we didnt like one of the sights we didnt feel bad about leaving. There were so many things to do! I would definitely suggest doing this if you want to see a lot in two days!
The Go Card is the only way to go when trying to experience all of the fun that Chicago has to offer. This is an amazing deal. We will look into getting a Go Card whenever we travel! We were in Chicago for 2 whole days and were able to experience so much. The bus and boat tours were fantastic! So glad we decided to get the Go Card!
We used the Go Chicago Card in July and used the 3 day pass. It was a fantastic way to see all of the best sites and attractions around Chicago. We saved over $150.00 per person based on what we would have spent had we paid for each attraction separately. We would totally do this again....great!
We went to Chicago in late April and our weekend of course had terrible weather, despite the fact that the days preceding and proceeding were great. The Go Chicago Card was a trip saver. It helped give us free transportation in the sleet and a great list of indoor activities. Very easy to use and often much shorter ticket lines at the museums.
I bought a 3 day unlimited go Chicago card for my family of 4. We road the hop on hop off bus, did 3 boat tours, and saw and learned history of the entire city. Our pass was great!! We went to many museums, Wills tower, Hancock building. All included with our passes. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who want to see the city!! Great time.
We truly enjoyed the advantages of the GoCity card in Chicago. It was so convenient! The many options made it a cinch to choose when and where we wanted to be. The savings on full ticket prices were definitely worth it! Great for all ages. We made some amazing memories, and cant wait to purchase again on our next family vacation.
My son and I used a 2 day all inclusive pass. We really enjoyed the ability to do almost everything we could want to do in Chicago! We really enjoyed the architectural river cruise, the Robie House, and the bus pass to get around the city sites. Packed as much into two days as possible. If i had had time I should have bought a 3 day pass! Well worth the investment.
Loved it! We picked the two day card knowing we had a lot to cram into the 36hrs we were spending in Chicago. The Go Card made it happen. We reviewed the details of each place we wanted to see, made itenerary according to schedules, boarded the Big Red Bus... And we saw the city. What fun!Suggestion: Do your research, pick the sights, check schedules, read reviews/tips/advice. Do the aquarium early. Do the Sky Ledge super early...or you will waste your day standing in lines.
We used the Go City card for a trip to Chicago in July. Utilizing it allowed us to take advantage of all the activities we hoped to accomplish at one price. Bus tours, boat tours, museum and attraction admissions were all prepaid so there was limited waiting in ticket lines and we entered at a discounted price compared to the normal, walk up fee. The Chicago pass included both the Willis Tower and Chicago 360, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Museum of Science and Technology and other Chicago attractions. The bus tours were a great way to ride and see sights that may have been beyond walking distance and helped get our bearings and give us ideas on what we wanted to be sure and see while there. The boat tours provided a scenic and educational river tour regarding Chicago history and architecture as well as views of Chicago from Lake Michigan. I thought the Go Chicago card was a smart investment and will likely use a Go card again upon a return trip to Chicago or when visiting other cities they serve.
Highly recommended as it saves a lot of money and time. You dont have to take time to buy tickets since everything is already purchased. The app is great and convenient to use also. My only complaint is regarding the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tour. I bought a two day pass so I assumed the Bus Tour would also be good for two days, but it is only good for one.
We got the 2 day Go City Card for our Chicago trip and it was definitely worth every cent. Although we couldnt do everything in the two days we were able to visit about 6 places and had no trouble using it. Loved that I was able to use my phone for everyone in my group.
This pass was ideal for our one-day trip to Chicago. You have to hustle to get the most out of it, but it is well worth the price. We got to do twice as much as we couldve if wed had to do all transportation and admission separately. I think its an even better value if you stay for two or three nights. Not only did we get into more attractions than we couldve afforded alone, but we also got top of the line tours on our transportation. Our guides were personable, clever, professional, and very knowledgeable.I would recommend CityPass Chicago to anyone!
Five stars is not enough to rate this amazing deal!! While planning a day trip to Chicago for my family, I came across the Go Chicago Card...and I am thrilled that I did! Such an amazing value for the price. It was simple to purchase & download the passes onto my smart phone....and it was equally as simple to just show the passes at each attraction to save time waiting in line. My only regret is that we werent able to visit all of the attractions in one day.....just too many things to do & see! We will definitely be back to see the attractions we missed when we have more time! A huge thank you Go Chicago Card for helping me to provide an awesome day for me & my family....a day filled with cool sites and tons of things to do & see!! #millionmemoriesmade
I have been to Chicago many times but this time travelled with my children aged 8 and 9. The Go Chicago card was the best way by far for us all to see everything the city has to offer and we crammed as much as possible into three days. It was fantastic value for money and as my daughter has special needs not having to queue for entry was fantastic. Thankyou for making our holiday so enjoyable.
Go Chicago Go card was the best planning thing that we did for our trip. The card not only saved our time but also gave us a goal to see all the available destination on the card for 5 days which I doubt we would have missed any of them if we would have not bought the card. We highly recommend all the people visiting Chicago to buy Go Chicago Go card for 5 days and enjoy their trip and make it a life time experience as we did. :)
I really enjoyed seeing the sites in Chicago. I saved money using Go Chicago and didnt have to wait in any lines. I have visited Chicago many times over the past 25 years. It was great to go on tours I have heard about in the past but never experienced. I will definitely use my card on future trips.
This card is a true bargain! We saved a lot of money compared to general admission prices and the hop on hop off buses that took us to evey attraction really made seeing Chicago easy and interesting. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Chicago to purchase a Go Chicago Card.
This is absolutely the way to see Chicago if you have several days to spend there, at an incredible cost savings! My daughter and I purchased the five-day card, and we saved a LOT of money with it because literally everything we wanted to do and see are included with this card! Even better, there are things included that we probably would not have done, had we had to pay for them individually, and we ended up really enjoying these things we would never have seen or done otherwise. Im not sure how much you would save on a two- or three-day card, but we consider our five-day card the best vacation choice weve ever made!
The Go Chicago Card made my experience in Chicago the best I could have ever had. It was convenient to know all of the places that were available and not have to wait in line for any of them. Buying it ahead of time, saved us a lot of money and time. I have recommended the card to several people and will continue to promote this great investment!
The Go Chicago Card made our trip to Chicago easier to plan. We picked out the places we wanted to go included with the card and plotted our trip around the city based on those stops. It made admission to the places much more convenient, since there was less waiting inline. The value was good too.
Honestly this is just what we needed. All the stuff I wanted to do is on here. I loved just about everything we did. The only things I thought I would love and did not was the field museum, the planetarium was okay but the show was lame *good for kids though*, and the sky deck had a VERY long like. Up and then down too. Like easily 2 hours of waiting. So just keep that in mind when going (went at around 5 pm). But the card itself was absolutely great. Never had issues! Also helped us narrow down choices of what to do. Also, not on the card but the free zoo was AMAZING. Loved it!
Very good experience. This card allowed us to take the bus and go anywhere in Chicago. We also were able to go the Science and Industry museum and it was the best place I have ever been too, we spent 5 hours there, having fun and learning things. This Go City Card is perfect and I will definitely take it again, in Chicago or in any other city that has it.
I had the pleasure of using the Go Card for the first time in April, 2018. The card was very easy to use & saved me and my family a lot of time along with money . By using the Go Card you don’t have to wait in long lines to enter into an exhibit. First time users also received a percentage off of their total price by purchasing Go Cards a head of time. I would recommend the Go Card to all my family & friends . I was very pleased with using my Go Cards and will purchase more in the future when traveling.
This trip was so much fun, and I don’t think it would have been possible without the pass! Taking the bus around helped getting from location to location and even restaurants that we were interested in. All the sight seeing, museums and the escape room were all hastle free when using the Go Chicago Card. Highly recommended to anyone going. We were there for 3 days and did everything on the list in 2. Thanks for our great Chicago experience!
The Go Chicago card was an excellent choice for my family in friends. We had great customer service from everyone on the bus lines, to the people manning the booths on Navy Pier! Highly recommended, will definitely purchase again on our return trip to Chicago and will purchase for the next big city we tour.
This card was fabulous to use. My family took a last minute vacation at the end of May. The card listed all of the attractions for us, and being last minute, we were able to see far more of the city than we originally thought. Highlights for us included the planetarium, aquarium and the science and technology tower. Top 2 favorites included the Navy Pier and the architectural boat tour. The card also enabled us to go from line to line with minimal waiting. Longest time was waiting to go up to the Willis Tower. Thank you for a well thought out card and experience. We will use the card again when we visits another city.
The Go Chicago Card is a great value. We were able to see almost everything we wanted to in the city in just 3 days and didnt spend a fortune at each location buying tickets. We will be back and we will most likely purchase another Go Chicago Card next time so that we can see the rest of the locations on our list.
I had great satisfaction visiting more than 22 places in 5 days time frame. I have seen Chicago from bicycle, buses, boats, sky etc. etc. and almost from all directions and corners. It was great fun. Day tour and night tour from buses were amazing. I saved probably more than 50% on gate prices and saved some time too. I am sure if you plan better, you can viit all attractions listed in 5 days.
This is my 3rd time purchasing and absolutely loving my City Go Card! Its a must have for anyone looking to do a lot on vacation without breaking the bank. Its simple to use and I find the city map that comes along with the cards to be extremely useful. Additionally, several other establishments such as stores and restaurants, offer great discounts to anyone that presents their City Go Card at checkout. The perks are too good to pass on.Helpful hint: Start using your City Go Card as early as possible. If you start using it later in the day, it will count as a full day and you wont be able to take full advantage of it. In other words, lets say you buy a 2 day card, its not valid for 48 hours. Itll work the day you start using it and the next. So if youre arriving at your city of choice late, wait until the next day to start using the card.
The Go Chicago City card was fantastic! My sister and I were able to see all the sites we wanted to for cheaper than we initially expected! The app was very easy to use. I just wish there were a slight student discount option--because many of the museums have a discount for students anyway, so I student using the GoCity card does not save as much as a nonstudent does.
My wife and I were unable to use the Go City Card at the first attraction we visited (Chicago Theater Tour, Monday July 9, 2018) as per the attendant at the attraction, there was a software issue on Go City Card’s end that could not remedied prior to attraction starting. This particular attraction is a daily tour of the theater at noon. As the attraction opened the doors at 11:45 AM, there was not enough time for the software to be troubleshot. Multiple Go City Card holders were turned away upset (some having traveled great distances like us), however many people like ourselves paid out-of-pocket for the attraction because we didnt want to lose out and our itineraries didnt allow us to return in the future. Despite two attempts on my part to contact Go City Card’s customer service regarding this incident, my correspondence was not answered. Thankfully this was the only instance during our 5 day trip that we had a problem. The Go City Card allowed my wife and I to visit more attractions than we would have otherwise have attended and with great savings.
This was my first time ever using something like this before and I loved it! It was so easy and convenient. You dont have to worry about pulling up emails with confirmation numbers or holding onto tickets, its all in one place on your app. I went to three different attractions; Willis Tower, Navy Pier Ferris Wheel and the Art Institute of Chicago. I bought the three pack and it was essentially three for the price of two. Youre not limited to choosing specific ones either, you can choose as you go, there was at least 10 or so to choose from. You also have a year from purchase to use it, unless if you redeem one then you need to redeem the other two within 30 days but its perfect if you plan to be travelling in the area for several days and have other things you want to go look at. On each attraction, there is a description, as well as a map, hours of operation, phone number and a link to their website making it super easy to plan out your day. I will definitely be using it again and looking to use it in other states as well in the future!
The Chicago Go card is a good deal if you plan to see the major tour sites. It is a bit of an effort to get around and see all the sites. It includes the hop on and hop off tour bus which is good for one day but is not a convienent way to get around the downtown area due to limited stops. If you see several sites it is a good deal plus you have fast entry into each site which is nice.
My friend and I recently visited Chicago, and with no real plan in mind, decided to purchase the 1 day all you can do pass and it was put to great use! It enabled us to explore many places such as the Shedd Aquariam, the Field Museum, the Alder Planetarium and the Skydeck at Willis tower. It was still pretty cold as we traveled out in mid-marchso we never did make it over to the navy pier, but visiting those places with the go city card allowed easy access, and options to use the city card or fast pass lane upon entrance. I downloaded the gocitycard app and pulled up the barcode and our passes were easily accepted the two passes we had just purchased on our walk over to our first destination. I believe there is an option to print the passes, but I just brought a portable charger for my phone around with me for the day to ensure availability and access to the app. It was of great use to us, and I would purchase again the next time I find myself in a new city and exploring what that city has to offer.
It was nice to have the GO Chicago Card when experiencing a new city. We did things that we normally wouldnt want to pay for on the spot but since we technically already paid for it, we were more willing to do more adventures. One perk is also skipping the long general admission line. While there may be a little like in the fast track area, it was much shorter of a line that if we did not have the card.
The Chicago Go Card made our trip much easier to enjoy. Not only were we able to purchase it for 10% off, the amout of time it saved us standing in lines, especially at the Art Institue were well worth it. We saved at least $50 each by purchasing the Go Card and will do so again.
Purchasing Go Chicago cards made my familys trip into the city far easier! Using the cards was simple right from my phone and there was never a question or concern about them being accepted at any of the venues we went to. Id definitely buy them again if we ever go back!!
We loved our Chicago Go Pass. It allowed us to visit several of Chicagos top sight seeing destinations for one up front price. There were no extra costs or additional fees. We were able to pick the order of where we visited, how long we stayed at each attraction, all while appreciating all that Chicago has to offer. I highly recommend it! And we will definitely be going back, as there was so much to see and not enough time to fit it all in.
The Go Chicago Card was a great choice for our group. We managed to see so much of Chicago in one day! We were at The Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium in the morning, took the hop on/hop off bus to Millenium park for a picnic, took the bus to Navy Pier for a fantastic Architecture River Boat tour and went to The Escape Game in the evening. --Amazing, unforgettable day!
The Go Chicago Card was a great choice to see the sites of the city and the tours. We really enjoyed the bus tour and the boat tour learning some of the history and architecture of the city. It was great to get through the lines quicker at The Muesum of Science and Industry, 360 Chicago, Adler Planetarium, The Sears tower and many other attractions. 😀
Chicago is fantastic and the best way to see all the attractions is via Go Chicago Card! You get free entry to the best of the best things to see! No fuss, no problem! You even get to see things that are SO WORTHWHILE and that you wouldnt see If you were paying each thing.Dont think twice! Believe me, It is the best option. Youll be very pleasantly surprised!
This card was an excellent buy. I was in the city for a week and saved a lot on sightseeing. There is a bit of pre-planning needed to make the most of it, but it was super helpful and a great purchase! I will definitely check out the Go Card for other cities and would get one again if I returned to Chicago.
I got the Go Chicago Card for my niece and me in early September 2017 for her 10th birthday. It was fantastic! We were able to see and do SO much in Chicago in one day! It was an awesome (though exhausting) adventure. We used the double-decker trolley as our transportation - it was neat to see the city this way. Staff getting our tickets prior to boarding the bus was awesome - super helpful. The guide on the bus was just as great - funny and interactive. We visited the Adler Planetarium for her first time ever. We planned to visit the Shedd but the lines were too long. Instead we opted for the Field Museum - it was very neat! We then headed to Navy Pier and went to the Childrens Museum. After spending a couple of hours there, we went to the docks. I thought we were too late for the cruise, but we werent! We got to go on a sunset cruise out on the lake. We planned to finish the day at 360 Chicago at the Hancock, but it turns out you need to book in advance - they were sold out when we got there. I would absolutely get these passes again! We did all of that in just ONE day! Imagine what you could see/do in multiple days!I very highly recommend the Go Chicago Card!
This card was the best choice I ever made during my trip. It was CHEAPER and very convenient. No hassles at all, and very easy to use this card and very practical. If you are planning to spend various days at one city is worth to buy this card. It saves a lot of money, time, and you will enjoy, even saving time in line attraction entrance some times... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This card is an amazing way to get to see all of Chicagos main attractions. It saves you money if you organize your day accordingly to use it in as many attractions as possible. The best way Ive found is to go to the most expensive attractions first, and then fill the time with the other ones. 100% recommend.
I bought a card for our recent trip to Chicago for my daughter and I. It was so easy to use . We chose a pick 5 and we didnt have to wait in line at 360 and the big red bus was awesome. We had None of the issues others had using it. We saved lots of money. WELL WORTH IT!!!!
Amazing! It took the hassle out of waiting in lines for tickets and completely cut out waiting in the REALLY long lines. For example; 4 hour wait for the SkyDeck? With your Go Chicago Card you skip the whole line waiting for the elevator (which was soooo long, the longest part) and go straight to the top. There was no waiting for anything. I got to do so much stuff during my visit to the Windy City because of all the hours the Go Chicago Card saved me, not having to wait in multiple-hour long lines! I would buy it again & again and I recommend it to everyone visiting Chicago!
We used the 3 day pass and saw so much more of the city than we had expected. They people were all friendly and helpful. The Big Bus tour and the architecture tour were both awesome. We felt safe walking around the city and in fact walked around 40 miles in those few days. We went to the Lincoln Park Zoo and adopted a red panda for my daughter.I cant wait to go back and spend more time.
I bought the two day Go Card and it was the perfect way for my son and I to see the city. Since everything was already paid for, we weren’t worried if we only had a little time in some places. And we got to skip the lines! I would definitely get it again in another city.
Go card made my trip to Chicago so much easier, I was able to jump the queue at so many attractions and I got to see so much more during my short time there. I only wish they would have had better access at the observation decks (Sears and Hancock) as these lines took a long time.
The positive parts of the card are that we conveniently were able to see many of the attractions that we wanted. Putting the app on the phone also allowed the site to scan our code and just issue some tickets. What we did not like was not every site listed on the website was available for the package we purchased. That probably was in the details somewhere, but it was not clear. It was difficult going to a site and hoping to get in only to be told it would cost $80 to get in for 2 of us. Just read the details and you can have some fun for some savings.
We were very happy with the GO-card and would definitely use it again. By the time we completed our 2nd activity, it had already paid did itself. So easy to use and we loved that we could decide what we wanted to do as we went, rather than having to choose ahead of time. This allowed us to use the card when it was convenient for us. Highly recommend it!
The GoCity card is my go-to when traveling to new destinations for a reason. The GoChicago card definitely did not disappoint. My friend and I each bought a 3 day pass and were able to use it extensively.TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ARCHITECTURE TOURS!! These boat tours individually are a pretty penny, so you easily make up the cost of your GoChicago card on these tours alone. I believe you can go on one tour per day of your pass. The architecture is astounding and easily one of my favorite parts of my visit to Chicago. The boat tour gives you beautiful views to compare the structural and artistic differences in buildings without being overwhelmed by their presence and you learn a little more about the buildings. You may even find that you have a favorite. Even now, I can see a few in my minds eye that really stood out to me :)Shedd Aquarium, Alder Planetarium, Field Museum - you could easily spend a whole day at any of these places. I absolutely LOVED them all and hope to visit again sometime soon. They are all wonderful, large exhibits with a lot of attractions and activities. There are beluga whales at the aquarium (
Using the Go City Card saved us money and it was so easy to use. Very convenient to have it all on your phone and have the freedom to choose from a variety of activities when youre there instead of having to decide it all ahead of time. We would definitely use it again and look for this option when we travel.
We were so glad that we purchased these cards for our family. There were some things on the list that we might not have done if it werent for the card, but once we did them we were glad they were included. For example, the bike ride, John Hancock building, the ferris wheel and the art museum. It was nice not having to think about whether something was worth it to go into it because so many things were included. It took the stress off of our vacation and we were able to enjoy the museums and not have to feel like we had to do the whole day in one. This is a great idea for big cities and maybe even smaller ones. Thanks for a fun vacation!
We used it in June 2017 during our holiday in Chicago. We took a two days card. It is VERY much worth the money. The discounts are high and genuine in the entrance fees. Included is a one day pass for the HOHO bus. With an extension available on this bus for another day at a small charge. Along with the entrance fees, where eligible, entrance also gives entitlement to a some exhibits which otherwise one has to see & view at an additional fees. The list of attractions that one can visit is quite long, which covers every familys need of which type of a attraction or activity or monument or building or tour one wants to see and visit. It a great savings card. After you buy the card, download the M App. No papers to carry around with you for an entry to any place. With the card, in certain, attractions and places, the entrance for the card holders is a fast track line, saves you time to get in. It also gives you a long list, of other eating places and stores where you can get a discount by showing your card. Try it, you will not regret it.
The Go Chicago cards made getting through all of the admission gates so easy. We wouldnt have gone to as many attractions if we didnt have these cards. They allow you to see all the best sites in Chicago super easy. Our family visited the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Navy Pier, Tall Ship Windy, the Sky Deck, Brookfield Zoo, the Museum of Science and Industry, and a few others. Id definitely purchase these again.
Bought a 2 day pass. Didnt really help get better position in lines. Go Pass lines were very long. Its a good deal if you see a lot of attractions. Having the pass on my phone was very useful. Used card over 4th of July holiday. Liked that all major attractions were on the card.
The card is worth it to save a few bucks on the attractions, however it doesnt give you any special access to the sights. You still have to wait in line like everyone else. Even in March & the cold weather the lines were extremely long at several sights. I can only imagine how it would be in the summer. I didnt get a chance to use it at several sights due to the long lines. But, the Big Bus was a good feature to use. Parking is next to impossible if you use a car. Use the bus & enjoy the ride.
Bought a single day card, which paid for itself after three attractions. It was nice to be able to pop into a museum for a short time without feeling like you wasted all the money on that museum ticket. Ended up seeing 5 attractions, but it was a 9am to 10pm affair (including meals), and the group was exhausted at the end. So just make sure you know what to expect before you make a purchase.
My friends and I selected the aquarium, which was included as one of the options. However, when we tried to use the Go Card at the aquarium, we were denied and told the aquarium stopped accepting Go Card tickets at least a year ago. So, false advertising on the part of Go Card - hopefully the company updates that if they havent yet. Other than this issue, the Go Card is a good way to save money if you are planning to see multiple Chicago sites.
We had a fantastic time in Chicago and the Go Chicago Card helped us do just that! It allowed us to see so many sights in Chicago at a fraction of the cost which was appreciated! I recommend the Go Chicago Card to anyone visiting the city and cant wait to visit again.
Through no fault of yours we were only able to use 1 of 3 events. When we got to Willis tower they informed us that there was 0 visibility. It was a nasty cold rainy day. Then we went to the aquarium only to find out they were not included (my fault for not checking it out more closely.) It would be nice if you could say in bold print that you do not honor the aquarium. We did go to the Art Institute and enjoyed it immensely. Due to time constraints we were unable to stay longer to use our other 2 events. We will not be able to return to Chicago to use our tickets. Can we transfer this pass to my nephew who lives in the Chicago area?
This was an awesome way to see Chicago!!! We had a two day pass and enjoyed every bit of it. We were able to go on the river cruise, visit the John Hancock building, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry and Sears Tower(I know it is no longer known as such but to be considered a native of Chicago you would call it that. 😌 All in all this was a great value for our family.
Overall the Go Chicago Card was great.....the one drawback was for the Frank Lloyd Wright House/Studio and the Robie House - with the Go Chicago Card, we were unable to make reservations ahead of time for these tours and had to just go out to the sites and take our chances. No problem at the Robie House, but at the FLW House/Studio, we ended up having to wait 1 1/2 hours for our tour. Everything else about the card was great, though.
I purchased 2 day all inclusive pass. its totally worth. saves money a lot but only problem is you can not visit all places and enjoy them fullest in just 2 days. there are so many places and very interesting. I spent half my day at Field Museum and got only 1 hour for Adler Planetarium as many places are on till 5:00 PM only.
Easy to use. Bought a 1 day pass for 1 adult & 1 child. We went to Shedds Aquarium, Fields Museum, & Navy Pier. Probably could have squeezed in a few more things if I were with another adult. I would definitely purchase again if I visit another city that offers a Go Card.
Whenever I go to a new city, Go City card is the first thing I check out. These allows you to plan your trips without worrying about blowing budgets because all major ebtrance and transportation fees are covered. The planned route maximizes the time that I have in the city. I hate tour planning, and Go City already done it fir me. And if I want to deep dice into a particular area , I can always opt for the lower price day pass. Can’t beat the deals when you are new in the city! Highly highly recommended.
I absolutely loved this card. It saved having to stand and pay the day of the activity. My son and I bought the 3 day card. We fit in a ton of stuff. The best thing that I can advise to do is visit things that are close together. Such as the field museum and the shed aquarium are right next to each other so visit those on the same day. I do wish that this card included a discount with parking places around the attractions but I found another app for that. Other than that, this card helped me skip through lines with certain things. I would advise to get to the attractions like the Skydeck and the Shedd Aquarium at least 30 - 45 mins early because the lines to get long. The card descriptions tell you about this stuff, so read the information about each place. The people who write negative reviews about this card, I am going to say, they didnt read the descriptions. Such as with the Skydeck, you have to wait in line for the elevator (which is the first line you get in) but then you can skip through the ticket lines once up the elevator. Overall this card was well worth it. Also, download the app, it saved having to carry the paper ticket every where.
We bought the Explorer pass and didn’t notice that the aquarium wasn’t included until they told us at the entrance, a disappointment. Sometimes the line was different for people with passes but not always obvious and still long. Nevertheless we did use our five tickets as allowed and we were glad to have a special arrangement for admissions as provided.
I purchased the one day All-Inclusive Pass for a 6th grade class to Chicago. I was very pleased with the customer service, the ease accessing the pass, and all the places and things we were able to do with the pass. We visited the Museum of Science and Industry, the Shedd Aquarium, rode the double-decker tour bus (highlight for many sixth graders), stopped at Giordannos Pizza, and went to the top of the Willis Tower. It was a great day and the pass made everything easy and quick!
The GO Chicago Card is the best if you are visiting Chicago. Depending on your interests and time, you have options of 3 or 4 or 5 attractions to choose from. You have plenty of days to cover all the attractions. It is very easy to buy and use and no papers or tickets are required to carry as you can just show it on the cell phone. 5*****
Loved the 5 day card. So convenient and we were able to do so many things in Chicago. Great attractions from Field Museum, Shedd aquarium, skydeck, brookfield zoo, navy pier rides and ferris wheel and big bus tour that brought us everywhere including millennium park. We were able ro take the big bus for an additional $5 for extra days.
I purchased this card because it had so many options for use including Shedd Aquarium. I was also under the impression that having this card meant we didnt have to wait in the general admission lines at the citys hot spots, however this was not accurate. When we arrived at the Sky Deck, we had an 105 minute wait in the emerald admission line. The directions on the app told us to find the Smart Destinations line to proceed past the general admission line. There was no Smart Destinations booth or sign at Willis Tower...😞We were informed a much cheaper card had fast pass accessibility and ours (although much more expensive) did not. Needless to say, after the first 25 minutes, we left and didnt get to see the sky deck. Very disappointing especially after all the money spent.
This is the fourth time that we have purchased and used the GoCity card when visiting popular cities on vacation. It is most definitely the easiest and most cost-effective way to see major tourist attractions at a fraction of the price! Every time we travel, we always check to see if there is a GoCity Card available for our destination. We also receive emails with ADDITIONAL discount codes to use for future purchases on the cards, cant beat that!!
Good destinations and we got our money out of it... however, the terms are NOT clear and the services will try to squeeze you for extra money.1. Go Card did not tell me it was good for only ONE boat cruise2. Go Card made it sound like the Hop On Trolley was good for the second day, but did not mention you had to redeem on the first day. The girl behind the Hop On counter even said it was confusing wording. I called Go Card and they would not do anything to help, even though we planned our entire day around it.3. The Bike rental tried to charge me $25 for returning to a different station, even though they were the ones who offered it when they did not have a Go Card machine at the Millennium Park station (hint: Go to Navy Pier station instead!). Surly staff behind Return counter though - couldnt be bothered while she was counting money. Seriously.4. Art Institute would not let you skip the line and it took 20 mins to clear that.Ask them for ALL the small print before you buy and plan out your day in advance of purchase.
We purchased this for our family of 5 and this worked out great for us. So many options to choose from. We were able to go thru the express line at the Museum of Science and Industry. I would recommend this to anyone over the other choices out there. They dont have the selection like this one and its cheaper. We used it for the cruise as well and we didnt have any problems at all.
Amazing resource in Chicago that not a lot of people are aware of. The building is labeled as a Public Library because that was its original purpose. The interior is amazing and all open to the public. Wonderful place for photos. Free wifi, so great place to come and hang out. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer, so also a great place for that mid-day nap. Go check it out once and youll be sure to come back and visit. Free tours available as well.
Can be a good deal if you want to hit up a lot of touristy stuff in one trip, but be careful of the fine print. As an example, I saw the logo for the Chicago bike and roll company and thought buying a card would get me a bike tour, but in fact it was only valid for renting a bike.Really double-check all the things you think youre getting with this are what you think you are!
This card allowed four friends, to go to so many attractions we would not have otherwise been able to see. The value and convenience was great and the service people, at the places we went to (boat cruise, planetarium, Frank Lloyd Wright hose, MSI...were welcoming. For sure we would buy again.
I used gopass to visit 5 attractions and I saved money compared to actual ticket pricing but the only issue I faced was at sky deck they said go pass is allowed only Tuesday to Thursday but it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on gopass website so I suggest to call attraction and confirm with them before using gopass at that attraction.
I am not happy with my experience. We scanned one of our attractions and then it started to storm. We lost one of our attractions because of the storm for three people. It was also not made clear that all attractions had to be used in 30 days. I originally bought more attractions because I knew that we would return to Chicago within the year and we are losing another adult attraction for one person. I called customer service and they were not very helpful. I will not buy a pass again for any city.
I bought six 2-days all inclusive City Go Passes for my whole family at more than$700 but I was fully disappointed with several things you may want to know before you purchase this.1. You cant redeem your cruise tickets in 1 day advance. You have to go to the ticket booth at the same day you want to get on the cruise. You have to get a line and wait for your turn - 1st come, 1st serve. If tickets are all sold out at a specific time, your schedule will be screwed up! No combined boat tour - river and lake..You have to choose either lake tour at Navy pier or river tour at river.2. Big bus ticket redemption is only available at a few stops only at limited time. So, i had to take a taxi to redeem bus tickets. Moremover, You have to wait for a staff to show up after 9am while you are missing the 1st bus at 9am.Be aware that No buses after 5pm. I had to spend money to take taxi again. Other bus - Chicago Trolley & double decker - run until late 10pm.3. No fast entrance at Shed aquarium and field museum.
So a friend and I were visiting Chicago for St Patrick’s Day and decided to get the two day pass. If you buy the two day pass, you’re not getting the shed aquarium on there. It says you get it but you don’t. Now at the time I had a bummed knee so walked up all the stairs just to find out no and to go back down was bs. Other than that, it was okay
We went to Chicago on Fathers Day 2017. We purchased a gopass. We spent the day on and off the double decker bus, did the boat tour, Willis tower and the Childrens Museum. What a fantastic deal!!!! We are going back again in September and will be for sure purchasing another GoPass for the day.
I am from Chicago but currently reside in St Louis. We often come home to visit and shop. This year we decided to do some sightseeing and purchased the GoPass. When i tell you it was a great investment and well worth the cost. Man i did not think it was possible to see so much of Chicago in so many ways for such a low price. I would recommend the GoPass to anyone visiting and want to see this beautiful city in all its glory.
Purchased the Go Chicago Card. Took a cab to the south side of Chicago to go to the aquarium. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED TO FIND OUT THE AQUARIUM WAS NO LONGER INCLUDED, yet, it was still advertised on the Go Card website. I question why it was on the website. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I purchased 3 Go Cards. Disappointed.
Was perfect for the two day trip for me and my boyfriend. We saw all of the museums and did the achitecture tour. We were kind of annoyed that they didnt let us do more than one boat tour in one day. But we did the sail boat tour anyways and just paid our way. I recommend this pass if youre looking to see a lot.
Bought Go Card for two attractions with a 20% saving advertised. However, Go Card prices were fast pass prices, hence almost 50% more expensive than regular prices. In my case when in checked in the lines I saved 5 minute lines. If you are not a fast pass consumer, double check prices or savings can vanish.
I would definitely get the Go Card for any other city I visited. Using it was easy and convenient and we were definitely able to get our moneys worth from it.Some benefits are explained better than others, so there was a small amount of confusion at one venue. That was really our only bump in the road.
This was a great deal! Loved that my fiancée and I could visit numerous spots all at one touch while skipping the lines to purchase tickets at the door and saving some money. I do wish however I stayed longer and woke up earlier to go and explore. Great deal and great program. Definitely look into this again on my next vacation!
The app would not work four hours after purchasing our Go cards, and we were unable to gain entrance to a museum with the card after live chatting with a representative online and calling customer service. The first staff members I spoke to were very unhelpful and we finally were able to get in touch with someone who helped us, but it was only after we had left the attraction we were trying to enter.
There was an issue with my card at The Field Museum. Staff at the ticket desk were unable to validate my card due to what later tuned out to have been a technical glitch. After a few minutes the proper operation of the validation service was restored but I wasnt too happy with how the whole thing was handled because I had been told to call Go Chicago Card customer support.
I loved the fact that I could pull up my pass on my phone. I was disappointed to know that there were no perks to having it. Gaining entry wasnt any smoother, there were no discounts or ability bto accumulate points fur the gift shop or the cafe. Moreover, I was only able to go to 2 out of the 5 attractions that I paid for so I felt as if I wasted a lot of money.
So happy I bought this! It was worth it!My friend and I did the 5 day all inclusive pass. We were there for 4 days and used a lot on the pass. No hastle of of having to get money out at every attration. Just had to show the pass on my phone and they printed our tickets and we were al set! This is a must get!!
This company is a scam bought 6 ticket total cost 473.10 won’t able to use them due to must activate being closed or full due to COVID-19 called to get a refund after almost a month of calling and emailing I got a refund for 47.31 no where near what I spend on those ticket. Avoid at all cost
Get thi Chicago City Card by all means! Its true you can save more money by buying the bundle, bought the three attractions, tip: choose the hop on hop off, the architectural river cruise and the Ledge experience at Willis Tower! They are the best you can have visiting chqrming chicago! Others like the Pier you can just ride uber and visit.... chicago is awesome!!!!
We had such a blast! Getting on and off was easy. Everyone was very helpful and informative. We were able to do pretty much everything we set out to do. The only downside was that a festival was starting towards the end of our day. They didnt annouce that the busses would stop picking up till later. We were able to catch the last water taxi, which turned out to be a great experience. It would have been nice to get the announcement earlier so we could change our route.
Great experience. Bought a day pass and got to experience more than 5 tours of my choice. I would highly reccommend it to solo travellers who are travelling for a day or two. I took the big bus tour, sears tower skydeck, planetarium, tall windy ship, hancock observatory and the millenium park in one day. And it saved me a alot.
I wouldnt visit chicago for the first time without this pass. i went so many places, and saw so many things. i saw the obvious sites, but i am not sure i would have taken the architecture walking tour of the art deco buildings without this pass. it was convenient and cost effective and kept me VERY busy.

2022-04-21Great experiences for the price. We did the all inclusive and visited the Willis tower Sky Deck, Art Museum, Planetarium, Navy Pier, Aquarium, Architecture Skyline boat tour and the hop on/hop off bus tour for about $100per person for the two day pass. Much cheaper than buying the tickets individually. Well worth it, also used the bus tour as a way to get around the city. Heads up the planetarium required reservations for the shows and the Art Museum is no longer accepting the gocity pass. Also make your reservations in advance!!!!!!

2021-06-13The Go Chicago pass is different from the City pass just starting out so keep that in mind. Overall its still a great value. It doesnt offer as many attractions but still has a great variety.

2022-07-03Overall good value but a lot of pain points.1. The website is a hit or miss. We kept getting error trying buy 2 attractions explorer pass.2. It’s very hard to figure out how to reserve for Sears tower observatory. Only 24 hrs in advance for reservations means if you plan to go over a public holiday you will be at risk of reservation spots availability.3. 5 days all-inclusive pass needs to be carefully planned as a lot of museums and places are closed Tue/Wed (or at least twice every week).4. The pass doesn’t include famous Art Institute of Chicago.5. 10 pins would not allow the reservations after 6 on weekends and after 8 on weekdays.

2022-06-05The GoCity pass has no disclaimer or forewarning on being able to reserve a 10pin Chicago Bowling after 6pm. We were denied access because it was 8pm. Also you cannot reserve times for the 360 Chicago either, had to go their website to find out the hard way. Other than that, GoCity Pass was amazing and worked on all the attractions, but just failed to leave some important details for first time consumers such as myself.

2022-06-28I do not recommend this pass. Many spots require reservations which are booked up weeks out. This pass only lets you pick a time the day before, which means you can only get what is leftover after every else has already made reservations. Other spots require reservation but their is no way to book one with this pass. So you cant actually plan your trip. Customer service was completely unhelpful.

2019-08-20A very convenient way to tour Chicago. Absolutely a money saver. I got mine from Groupon and the only thing you need is to call them to activate it. It works very well with the Android app and you need no paper tickets at all. There are lots of packages to choose from. Plus you save time by not waiting in lines on some attractions. I will use it for other cities as well as I was very satisfied on my first try.

2022-03-20Do not recommend the Go City Pass. There are limitations on which vendors access this pass. For example, the Willis tower only accepts their pass during the week (M-Th) and the art museum does not accept it at all. Not a good deal based on the attractions.

2022-06-14Extremely disappointed felt like we were misled purchased a Go CITY PASS. Arrive at 3pm at Chicago 360 on 5/29/2022 when we arrived they stated that they were no longer takin City Pass ticket holders. This is not something that’s explained prior. It’s a shame that we had to arrive first then find out. There is no way to make a reservation on line and were stuck custuck at the 360 location for 40 minutes until the next bus came around . The go City Pass website and our confirmation says no reservations

2022-06-28Love the discounts and the flexibility to choose from a range of experiences. When visiting attractions, line may also be shorter for people with GoCity passes.

2022-03-16Do NOT buy this pass. Most venues require advance booking. This activates your pass and will invalidate it. Further, only a few spots are available for 3rd party passes at venues. (Ex 8-9pm at SkyDeck) but SkyDeck has spots open all day.Save the trouble and buy through each venue.
