Gerald Subaru has been a great dealership to work with. My wife and I have recently switched to Subaru Outbacks. Gerald Subaru helped us with an easy transition from Hyundai to the new Outbacks. And if there is any questions or issues to address they are quick to respond.
Had a great experience at with Devin at Gerald Subaru. Called the day before to say we were driving up from Springfield and what cars we were planning to look at. Upon arrival, both vehicles were clean and ready for us to test drive. A smooth buying process. Left with the car that I had my eyes on!!

From the moment me and my wife called up Darrell The salesman who handles greeted us with respect and with us in mind they already had a car that we have scheduled to come see prepared and ready for us with a quick wash they made us feel comfortable in Jay sales manager didn’t know less to this as well. I bought my car back in 2017 now the service and everything was amazing. It seems to me though in the last 3 yrs the service dept has just stopped caring. I haven’t had a bad experience until the last 2 times I brought my car in. I had to argue and fight because my windshield was chipped and due to I didn’t notice it at the dealership they weren’t going to fix it and fought with me until I pretty much said whatever fine I’ll take my car else where for maintenance and repairs. now just the other day I brought my car in and they some how bent my license plate and damaged my bumper. I will not be returning here at all for anything.
The service department is great here very friendly and courteous. I have an issue with the sales and financial side. Today I took one of our two new cars in for the first oil change and was told multiple times we would havw the service plan which we received free oil changes for a time period. This was not the case so multiple people lied during the sales and I know my wife and I asked multiple times to make sure we understood what we were purchasing. Then the salesman has lied saying he would send me two gas gift cards but he never has. The lies just keep coming from this place. If you plan on buying from this place just don’t and go to Naperville a lot nicer there, I wish I would have bought through them but was impatient and didn’t want to wait to transfer the vehicles.
Gerald Service takes exceptional care of their customers and their cars. The service advisor listens closely to the issue and is there to explain everything when the work is done. We have a Gerald Kia Sportage in addition to our Subaru Forester. Both Gerald service teams have always taken good care of us and our cars

This dealership is CLEAN! As you can tell from the pictures, I am a bit of a Subaru person. I have owned three new Subaru’s and two of them I purchased here. The folks in sales actually enjoy helping people, you can tell that customer service is not something they need to force, but something that comes naturally to them. During the purchase phase I found it to be very upfront and easy. I did not have a trade in but wouldn’t hesitate to work with them if I did and I feel like I would get a very fair price for my car.The finance part makes your wrist go a little numb but what I found different here is the warranties they offer held some real value. Heck for purchasing a maintenance plan I got a $500 certificate off of my next Subaru!Coming into the Service department was also a good experience. The wait time was a little less than an hour and they washed my car and even vacuumed my drivers floorboard...for free! Friendly people there to help me and the waiting room....wow...Starbucks coffee anyone?? Water you say?? Heck they even offered me a Coke! lol...I was impressed and glad I decided to do business with Gerald Subaru North Aurora!
Brought my 2006 subaru outback in for my check engine light on and my drivers side window not working. Day later no calls on what is wrong. Another day goes by and I call again After a 20 minute wait i was told someone would call me soon. No call. I call monday and afteter another 20 minutes someone talks to me that they cant find the problem s and that it would cost me another $ 700 to do a more thorough inspection. Just to tell me what is wrong and how much to fix. I am very upset. Hard to believe they cannot find out a problem with the window and or the check engine light. I tried to communicate with the mechanic numerous times and he will not talk to me . Mad as hell. I recommend you never take your car for service here. Bad communicationwas to
I went in for my routine oil change after purchasing my car there last July. Service was quick and it’s never a hassle when we go! They communicate very well and update you if anything changes. We could go to a dealership closer to us but we also drive the hour to go to this location because they are so accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly!
They earned the 5 gold stars today. Their service was excellent, Brian, Luis and Dan were incredibly helpful. What started as a disappointing experience turned into the best customer service I have ever had. They went ABOVE and BEYOND and I am very very thankful! My service included, an oil change, tire rotation, front and rear differential service and they also replace a bad bearing and gave me an amazing detail. It feels like new! Thank you so much guys! and please thank the guy who dropped off my car and the person who detailed it. It looks like new! Ill be back soon to have my transmission service taken care of because of your amazing service! Thank you again.
2021: I always go to the Naperville location, but given they had no appointments I came to North Aurora location. I absolutely love their service department: professional, friendly and welcoming. David Gonzales was extremely thorough and answered all my questions regarding my service package, ensuring my dashboard service was updated and matching my records and what to expect for my next visit. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely go back to the North Aurora location.2022: came back for maintenance and again, I was satisfied. Amazing customer service and their integrity is refreshing!
I have recently bought my first car from reputable dealer (not a small used lot). My sales representative Faruq Solebo at Gerald Subaru was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to get me off the lot in a nice new Subaru. We had some hiccups along the way, but with the help and persistence from faruq. He got me settled into a great impreza. He sent me to Kevin Green after words to finish my paperwork, Kevin was also extremely nice and helpful (good sense of humor) and I couldnt have asked for more out of a car buying experience. I never actually met Sean from Finance, but he seemed to have helped alot as well and I certainly appreciate it. Thankyou to everyone a Gerald Subaru! This wont be the last time you see me.
Eric Zetterlof was our salesman for our new Outback. Eric was off the bat very informative. He went over all aspects of the Outback as we have never owned a Subaru before! Everything from Options, Safety features, and Steel construction type. I have never driven an Outback before and Erics demonstration on the test drive was very informative. He gave us a great understanding and example of the adaptive cruise control, and steering system. I ended up purchasing a 2021 Outback through Eric and it was a very pleasant experience. He brought the whole experience to a personal level, and kept the buyer informed throughout the whole process.

He helped me so much when buying my Forester making sure that I got the right car for me and helping me with all aspects of the buying process. He also makes the whole experience fun.

Great dealership for repairs, oil changes. May be a bit pricier than smaller shops but nice waiting area, Wi-fi. Never had problems with any repair done here, very helpful manager willing to help. Mechanics are top-notch and will explain repairs and not patronize. Had a valve job done last year, great results. If youre concerned about distancing they have a big, well spaced waiting room.
I’ve had nothing but a great experience a Gerald Subaru of North Aurora. They always find a way to accommodate me and always get the job done right. From oil changers the spark plugs to short block replacements I’ve had nothing but a great experience. Every advisor at work with has gone above and beyond what I have expected of them.
The service department at this location is incredible, the whole team is incredibly welcoming and show a great sense of urgency and dont beat around the bush when it comes to telling you the issues, they have always been able to get me in and out in a timely matter and if it was going to be an extended visit, the service team has always provided a loaner vehicle.The sales department on the other hand is garbage. While purchasing my vehicle the sales manager Jay made too many broken promises when it came to fixing the issues of purchasing my used vehicle. Instead of properly fixing the issues they took short cuts to visually make appear fix but with in weeks the same issues resurfaced and they told me they already fixed it and nothing can be done about it.highly recommend this location for service, but more than likely will not be purchasing another used vehicle through them. But those warranties they have to offer are almost too good to pass up. just sayin.
Today I picked up a 2022 Forester which I ordered in October. Big Jon in sales was great, and spent all the time we wished to go over all the details, inside and out. This is our 4th Subbie from Gerald in North Aurora, going back to 2009. This dealership is very modern, clean, and professional....you cant go wrong.
Disappointed. I made my service appointment, called to confirm it on Tuesday and during this call I asked to make sure they had the parts in house necessary to repair what I asked them to repair. I was told yes then and brought my car in expecting it to get the necessary repairs that day. Only to be told that they would need to rediagnose it themselves and that the parts they needed wouldn’t be ready until the following week. Nobody even called to tell me that the parts wouldn’t be ready until the following week, I had to call them and get information on my car. Normally not a big deal but I made this appointment under the assumption I’d be able to leave ASAP since I live out of state and continued with my appointment based off the information they initially gave me. Nobody told me any of this regarding the diagnostics on the phone or when I confirmed about parts specifically because this was a fear of mine, and nobody made any effort to fix it, only told me afterwards.
Let me first say that I generally dislike the car buying process. BUT…Gerald Subaru changed that.Kenneth was our salesman, and he was great. SUPER knowledgeable about every single spec the car has. I dropped off my car due a specific sound and asked the shop diagnose and prepare an estimate to repair. Instead I received an estimate with every basic service possible this included everything from changing brake fluid, transmission fluid, differential fluid, wiper blades and two side marker bulbs. Given all the services were needed, I agreed and $1,100 later, I picked up the vehicle with the same sound and no clear diagnosis. I took it to the dealership with the Hope who better to diagnose a Subaru than a Subaru dealer. Either their best techs were all on vacation and the service adviser prepared the quote for service based on the recommended services all due on a vehicle with 167k miles. I’m in the market for a new car as this vehicle is strictly used for commuting back and forth to my offices. I don’t believe I’ll consider anything with a dealer who can’t take the time to figure out what’s wrong with my current vehicle.Your experience may vary.
I am happy with the vehicle itself. However, I was am still frustrated about the sales process. I put a put a deposit down on a vehicle knowing the sticker price. Then, I was super excited when they told me the vehicle was there early. But once I got to the dealership I discovered that they had added $999 in accessories to increase the sticker price without talking to me about it. In addition to that they added 18% of the sticker price as a premium cost, the two sales people that I dealt with did not inform me that this was going to happen prior to putting a deposit down on the vehicle. They did come down a little but the sales guy basically told me if I don’t pay it someone else will “it’s just the way the market is”. Ultimately, I feel like I got ripped off due to added premium that they never told me about and getting stuck paying for accessories I wasn’t even interested in. But am giving a 3 star because I am happy with the vehicle itself just not the experience I had.Update! I reached out to the dealership sales manager as they requested and they did nothing. The sales manager first said they would try to make it right. Then he called today and was very rude and said that I wouldn’t be getting anything because I knew when I signed the paperwork that I was not happy and, I signed anyway and I had already completed the online survey from Subaru about my experience and he said I got my money by completing the survey..Unfortunately, they overcharged me and my personal experience with this dealership was not a good one. So I left an honest review and completed the survey honestly when I received it and updated this post to show my experience did not get any better by contacting them.
What an awesome experience. We are on vacation from Texas and stopped in just to look at a new car. Jon (Big Jon) really took care of us. We didnt buy a car, it just wouldnt have worked out trying to get home. This dealership never made us feel like we were wasting their time. Jon has called us a couple of times just to touch base with us. We never felt pressure. If youre looking for a car, you need to stop by and give them a chance. Make sure to ask for Big Jon.
My vehicle was repaired in less time than expected and was washed and waxed before I picked it up.The man that met me at the front door was super nice and helpful, the two young men at the first desk were snobby when we inquired about my vehicle. The guys back in the shop were pleasant.
The quality of work done by this team is exceptional. They gave it the TLC it needed, and it feels like we have a new car. Gerald Subaru is adept at satisfying customers. They worked hard to get everything in line to accomplish my service goals in one visit and managed a loaner car despite shortages. The work is extremely well done and cost is reasonable. Only reason for four stars is I just don’t believe anything is perfect. Luis was my contact in service, and well, ok, her personally gets a 5!
I had been searching for another vehicle for weeks and had worked with many dealerships. Gerald was the only dealership that treated me like a person not a dollar sign. The entire staff was kind, courteous and accommodating. Specifically, Denzel and Nicole were awesome! They went above and beyond to help my wife and I to purchase our new Subaru! I can honestly say Ive never had a better experience at a dealership.
I have had my 2000 Subaru Outback serviced at Gerald Subaru of North Aurora most of its lifetime. Early in its life at another dealership I had a dangerous situation where a major bolt was not tightened properly and risked the safety of the car. From then on I have had my car serviced in Aurora. Based on its lifetime, the good service there has paid off for me.I get good advice on what needs servicing and what can wait.
The service was great and the people l worked with were courteous and friendly. The problem l had was with the car wash. The car was not dried and had a lot of water spots. I took it to Tower car wash and had it cleaned again. That’s when after I got home I noticed the moisture in the left tail light. I called and was sent to voicemail but I didn’t get a return call. Hold off returning the call. I want to get a picture of it so you can see it. The other thing is that my address is incorrect. Thank you I will call as soon as I get the picture.
Good service overall. There was about a 15 minute back up at the drive in door, but once things got moving things went well. The staff was apologetic about the wait, extremely polite. My only minor complaint is that whoever changed the battery set my clock ahead by 45 minutes.
Good inventory of cars. No pressure sales approach. Prompt response and accommodating regarding questions and test drives. Plenty of people willing to assist me.I researched several area dealers and found Gerald Subaru North Aurora to have competitive pricing along with a straight up sales approach. First time in 34 yrs that buying a new car was a pleasurable experience.3/2022 85k miles laterI orginally gave a 5 star rating back in 2017 regarding the purchase experience which was indeed quite nice. However over the last 5yrs of ownership of my 2018 outback the service experience at this dealership has been disappointing. During this time multiple returns have been required to address a single problem (front wheel bearing replacement 3 visits due to incorrect installation, oil change 2 visits wrong oil used, axel replacement 2 trips missed bad rear wheel bearing during initial evaluation). Detailed technical communication regarding discovered failures is poor.Recommendation... Ok to purchase here but seek service elsewhere.
My salesman, Brian McGinley at Gerald Subaru, was wonderful to work with, very experienced. He spent more than enough time with me so I could drive and compare the cars I was interested in. He explained the different options and packages available so I understood completely.I needed a car right away and he was able to find one without any problem. We drove to the other dealership, picked it up; he had it cleaned and it was ready to go the same day. I recommend this dealership and especially Brian, he worked very hard for me.
I came in to have my vehicle serviced for an appointment that I thought I had previously made. However, there was an error in scheduling on my end and the appointment was made. Despite that, Luis Figueroa was able to accommodate me and schedule my vehicle for a later appointment that day. What I thought may have been a major issue with my vehicle turned out to be something extremely minor. The dealership service team is very honest and thorough. I’ve gone to Subaru in the past for my servicing and maintenance needs. And the service team has always been very friendly, professional and thorough particularly Luis. Thank you Gerard Suburu.
Not sure what went wrong this time but I took my car in for a diagnostic check to address my acceleration lagging, told them I just needed the transmission fluid checked and told them to check the lights. Approved the recommended fuel system flush (not sure yet if this eliminated the issue) and the change of all the bulbs that were out. When I came to pick it up, they had double charged an item. They were able to correct it but if I hadn’t been paying attention this would have gone through. I get home and notice one of the bulbs wasn’t changed. I’ll now have to make time to take it back tomorrow to be addressed. Everyone was friendly and all but thats twice in one transaction that attention you detail was lacking

Got me the price range I needed and didnt try to get me to go higher! Only downside was the wait. However they where really busy and it was Saturday! #HAPPYWALLACEFAMILY
Overall had a great experience. I went to purchase my car late on a Friday night. The dealership was accommodating accommodating and answered all my questions. They gave me a good deal on my Subaru. One area of improvement would be to have the dealership check everything before I left to make sure it was working properly. I found out the next day that the remote start didn’t work. I would’ve wished that I would’ve asked for them to check everything and/or that they would’ve checked everything before putting it on the lot. They are willing to fix the remote start for free. I did have to make another appointment for this. Overall I would recommend geralds Subaru to friends and family.
I purchased a used Subaru Outback at another small dealer and needed some service completed. Gerald completed the repairs and also performed a full complimentary inspection of the vehicle. I’m confident I will return for future service. Gerald service employees were professional and a pleasure to work with.
Stellar customer service as always!! George in Parts, and Martin, Jerry, and Steven in Service took great care of us in replacing a flat tire. The efficiency, professionalism, and courtesy shown by all departments at this dealership make it a standout. Their employees take pride in their quality product and it shows. They go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy.
Purchased my vehicle from Gerald and have serviced it there for 114k miles. Ill keep coming back because David and Luis are the best, they work with me (which isnt an easy task), and dont pressure. Oh yeah, George and team in parts are also awesome. Ill keep coming back!
I couldnt be happier. Everyone was competent, polite, and clearly explained what they were going to do.I had a recall issue, which was fixed at no charge, of course, but I also had a check engine light on. No diagnostic charge for that either! AND they gave me a free car wash.I went home happy.

Kenneth was a knowledgeable and helpful salesman, and I feel like the staff was looking out for the customers best interest the entire time. I got a great rate and I would recommend this dealership to anyone.Edit: I used the service center and I can’t imagine a better experience at a dealership. They were polite, had a rental car ready for me, and my car was given back to me extremely clean after only one day. I recommend this dealership and a Subaru to anyone in the market for a new car.
I took my Subaru for an oil change and tire rotation for the first time today. My service advisor (I believe his name was David) was very nice and knowledgeable. He answered any questions I had and explained everything they do in detail. My engine and cabin filters needed to be replaced and they actually sent pictures via text and email to show the old ones which I appreciated. Overall great experience!
Everyone treated me with personal attention from beginning to end except in making the appointment on the phone. Had to call twice because I was hung up during my conversation with them trying to make an appointment. Everyone over at Gerald Subaru, North Aurora, Illinois were fenomenal from taking in my car, informing me of what was wrong, discussing what I work to do , getting it done and returning my car to me. I had a fantastic experience with the service department. They accommodated my late arrival and got me in and out quickly. Luis was very helpful, providing great information about my used Subarus service history. They also provided an honest assessment of my vehicles condition. The facility was extremely clean and well-kept! I will definitely return for all my vehicle service needs!
Peter Forberg is an awesome sales consultant. This was my fourth time going to a dealership and with all honesty Peter Forberg treated my wife and I far better than the other sales people from other dealerships. My wife is pregnant and he offered us some delicious pizza. He is well informed of the vehicle I was interested in. He has some awesome dance moves (he was avoiding a bee that flew in our car) my wife and I felt confident and comfortable with the new car buying experience. In our initial phone contact with Nicole, she was straight forward and honest. When we visited in person, Faruq was a great listener and a wealth of information. He was kind, patient and genuine. We finalized our contracts with Kevin the finance guy. Much to our surprise Kevin was interested in what value meant to us. Kevin had great numbers and information that played an indispensable role in helping us understand and make good decisions. As car buying experiences go, it was an extraordinary experience, unique and pleasant. They were fun, friendly and down to earth. They were good people! I should add, upon request, Faruq introduced us to the service department staff that would be servicing our car for years to come. That was an equally extraordinary experience. They walked us through several years of what we could expect, best and worst case scenarios. Their kind straight forward honesty was comforting. My overall summary of our experience, in one word EXTRAORDINARY !!!
Unfortunately, the Bluetooth connection in my Subaru Forester was doing what many others like mine have done...gone kaput. However, the staff and personnel were really and simply amazing. They didn’t go out of their way, it was normal, amazing customer service. As I expected, it will need a radio replacement, but they were straight forward with me and not pushy about anything. Even without charging me for the checkout, they still washed the car, too. I’m not in need of a car right now, but when I am, I’m pretty sure where I’ll be buying. Great people make great places. This was probably our most positive car buying experience we have ever had. The entire staff is welcoming and positive. Our salesman, Jon Dewig, is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Jon took the time to help us set up all of the personal options in our new Outback. He went through all of the features and explained each of them. Just a great guy to work with! We cannot express enough the wonderful experience it was to buy our Outback at Gerald Subaru.
Denzel was an excellent salesperson with a great deal of knowledge. He was very thorough in explaining everything to us, including the bells & whistles of the car! We also appreciated no high pressure to sign & working with us to get a deal that made both sides happy. Our monthly payment ended up being where we wanted. This is our second Forester & we love it already with all the new features!
I recently stopped by to pick up a key fob at North Aurora Subaru to program at Naperville Subaru and Mark Jillich was very accomodating and asked if I wanted he could program it there for me. He also went the extra mile and when I left my thermal coffee cup at the building after I had left, he picked up my cup and kept it there for me until I came back and picked it up.
We worked online with Nicole and in person with Eric, to order and purchase a new crosstrek for my son. I absolutely loved that they took the time to show us how all the features actually work! Routinely receive excellence in service delivery. Ive a 2005 model that consistently runs like a Swiss watch. If potential problems are newly emerging, they are clearly explained along with associated risk. When/if a vehicle is needed while mine is being repaired, it is readily provided. All people Ive met demonstrate strong competence and thoughtful customer service. The experience is so strong Ive introduced a friend to Gerald Subaru of North Aurora. Service Manager, Mr. Mark Jillich, leads a great team and is excellence in service personified.
The service people at Gerald Subaru are great! I had a parts recall and oil charge performed and they were polite and courteous. I worked with David at the desk and found him to be very helpful and courteous. I was impressed with the steps they took to protect me from the Corona Virus. I felt safe dropping off and picking up my car.
I usually have good experiences when I bring my car in for service. this time the person who helped me was a little scatter brained. we paid for a service when we bought the car and he wanted to charge me. then I assume the air cabin filter wasnt changed as that is part of the service and my husband changed it 2 weeks ago anyways. when the service guy realized that we had prepaid for service he had to redo the paperwork and I assumed the filter was changed as he told me to sit in the waiting room and when he came to let me know the paperwork was done he told me that they had to change the air cabin filter. so I had to wait for about 10 or so minutes when I came to pick up the car. I had dropped it off and would pick it up later. other than that I have been happy with the service department.
It was my first time financing a car and making a big purchase from a dealership. I was given to a guy named Kenneth aka (Kenny), I must say I was beyond satisfied with my experience. Kenny walked me threw the entire process with paperwork, warranty l, payments, credit checks, and everything in between. Not once did he push me to sign anything I didn’t understand right away and answered any questions I had on anything. I now am the proud owner of a 2016 Subaru WRX and I will defiantly be returning there when I decide to upgrade or get a new Subaru!
Fantastic service as always by David and the team and the tremendous technicians. Had lots of work done and any issues are always brought to my attention. I piled on some last minute brake work and they were able to fit it in despite a busy schedule. Always appreciate the loaner and flexible pickup times. Car always feels like new when I get it back. Service has always been fast and efficient. I love the well appointed waiting area and the professional service managers. All around a pleasant experience. I drive several miles out of my way to use Gerald of North Aurora and will continue to do so with both of my Subarus
I had an excellent experience getting my car serviced today. Luis Figueroa did a super job of explaining the work that needed to be done on my car. He let me know when the work was almost completed which I appreciated. He also made sure everything was properly sanitized when I signed in and as I checked out. I was very happy with my service. Eric and Jay (along with so many others) were so awesome to work with! They made time for me and were more than willing to explain everything to me AND in a way I can understand. Communication was never a worry. (I went to a Ford dealership and they didnt call me back for over a WEEK.)
I factory-ordered a new vehicle and placed a deposit. Eight weeks later, I was notified it was in and that I must pick it up the next day. I was unable to do so on such short notice, and they get very upset with me. So much so, that a few days later when I tried to make an appointment, they did not respond to me. Finally the internet sales person called to say they had sold my vehicle. How disappointing!! I called the General Manager and he causally said he wished he could say this was the first time this had happened. Clearly its profit over customer at this dealership.
I purchased my second used car from the Gerald auto mall in North Aurora because I had such an amazing experience the first time. This time around the used car I purchased had an issue, and the sales and service team at Subaru handled the issue better than I could have expected. Sean Ryan stepped up to make it right at no charge to us because they value their brand, service, and customers. Incredible service and will purchase again!
I went into the dealership, it was very clean, I was helped right away. They took time to listen to what I wanted. I worked with John the salesman he was very polite answered all my questions. I bought my vehicle from him and would go back to him or recommend him to others for his kind personality. I have a great experience.
I had a great experience purchasing my first car through Gerald Subaru of North Aurora. Peter Forberg was very friendly and knowledge! I didn’t feel pressured to make a purchase and I really appreciated his patience. He allowed us to take a private test drive with no limitations and answered all of my questions honestly. After I purchased, he even stood outside my car in the pouring rain explaining all the new features to me.
My husband and I had bought a new 2020 Subaru Impreza from Gerald of Subaru North Aurora. Our experience was amazing! They did everything they could to help us leave satisfied with our purchase. Our salesman Derrick did amazing showing us the tips and tricks with our car and answered every question we had. Even if he didn’t know, he would go and get the answer. I can’t say enough good things about Gerald Subaru in North Aurora!! I was looking to upgrade from my Crosstrek to a Forester. I knew what I wanted, or so I thought when it came to financing. The entire staff was very casual, yet professional, at no time did I ever feel pressured to buy, or go a certain way, which is rare to find when at a car dealer lol. Jonathan Hudson came over and we had a brief conversation regarding the very low mileage on my Crosstrek. Like most people, I had a certain monthly payment budget in mind. While going over the numbers with Jonathan, he also showed me a lease option, because of the low mileage conversation we had earlier. He didn’t push, or try and over sell the idea, he just said it might be something to think about. I asked a few more questions that he was more than happy to answer. We adjusted the lease a bit (mileage and length of the lease) and the payment was well under what I had originally planned for. Next thing I know, I’m in the finance office and walked out to a freshly washed Forester with a full tank of gas, and I was off. It was a truly great experience, and their service department is also amazing!! I have since sent friends and family to see Jonathan and they’ve all told me of what a great experience they had as well. I’m looking forward to going back after my current lease is up, and I’m thinking Outback this time..... get ready Jonathan!! LOL
We recently bought a Forester from this dealership where we worked with Derrick as our primary point of contact throughout the process. He was very helpful, walked us through all of our options, let us test drive multiple vehicles and never made us feel pressured to make a decision. It was clear to us he was more concerned with making sure we were happy and comfortable with our choice rather than making a sale. Since our purchase he has followed up with us to make sure were happy with the vehicle and if we had any concerns or questions. Any questions weve had have been answered quickly and thoroughly.Derrick and Jay, the Sales Manger, also worked with us to locate the vehicle at another dealership when we learned that the vehicle we were looking for was not in their inventory. Derrick personally picked up the vehicle and brought it to their dealership the next business day so we could have our new car as soon as possible.Overall a pressure free and positive experience.
I’d gone in with the hopes I could leave with a new car. I never once felt pressured to buy. As I hadn’t bought a new car in 15 years I was nervous, but the test drive was very informative. The sales rep gave me more information about the car I didn’t know I needed, if that makes sense. Ultimately I danced around a decision not knowing if I wanted a base model or the next step up. The rep was patient and funny. I’m sure I wasted hours of his time before I finally made my decision, but he never made me feel pressured or feel like I was wasting his time. I’m glad I chose their dealership as I don’t regret my purchase and I feel very happy with my decision thanks to their patience.

Dave Gonzales has simply been the best service manager I have ever dealt with. Not only did he know what the mechanic was talking about he talked in normal language. The drivers window froze open, when inspecting the car several major issues were found. Dave worked with my extended warranty company to help them understand, sent pictures. Anything they asked he made sure they had. About $5000 in repairs cost me a $150 deductible. Thats someone who cares about doing whats right not just their job. I am grateful. There were a few other things that needed service that I was happy to have done at the same time.
Ive probably purchased five cars from a dealership in my lifetime and as much as I liked the cars that Ive bought, I absolutely dread the dealership experience.Then I met Connor Jones, I learned so much about my Subaru Outback and its features that I felt like I was buying a high end luxury car. Eric Zetterlof was amazing, easygoing and patient throughout our whole car buying experience (3 days!) We took multiple test drives, were there late each visit and we were very picky (mostly me). I always have a great experience at Gerald Subaru North Aurora which is why I continue to get my service work done there even though I live 30 miles from the dealership. The advisor I normally work with is David Gonzales and he is always very friendly, polite and professional. I enjoy working with him. I wish other companies would model their service department after the Gerald model. I can think of a few companies that would benefit from that....not to mention any names.....

Peter Forberg was great. He really listened and helped my mom find her new car. He wasn’t pushy and really wanted her to get what was best for her...totally not your average dealership!!! They exceeded our expectations. The sales manager Sean Ryan was really great as well. They both wanted my mom to get what she wanted and needed and helped us get her there.

Very clean. Bright. Welcoming. Friendly staff. Beverages offered upon entrance.Being honest and real. Its still a car dealer. So even with all the good, you need to be prepared for some hard pressing selling. Not on the car, but the add ons. 4 stars and thumbs up, but its not hassle free car buying. So if you are the type that wants to a lid the hard sell from finance mgmrs and the folks in back, then just be aware that it may happen.
This month I had to take my Forester to the dealership for a recall , new ties, and 90k maintenance. The person I spoke to on the phone was very nice and gave me accurate pricing for the service. He never tried to up sell me and was very helpful. We figured out a time that worked with my work schedule to drop the car off early in the morning and use a loaner. The loaner was great - a 2020 Outback. Definitely nicer than what Im driving. David helped me with the necessary paperwork and gave me a quote for the job. David was also there when I returned the loaner the next day on my lunch break. Great experience and I would definitely recommend them.
I have been leasing a Subaru for the past 2 years and I couldn’t be happier. When I dealt with the sales and finance team initially I felt taken care of. Sean Ryan was the finance manager I dealt with personally and he was the definition of professional. This was by far the most comfortable I have ever been while buying/leasing a car. I have had the best and most friendly customer service during all maintenance check ups. Brian Trout runs a great team in that department. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and 100 will be a returning customer.
My service consultant was especially helpful. He communicates well and with warmth, respect and professional demeanor. My Grandchildren, ages 6 & 4 were with me. My consultant and, really, all of the Gerald Staff, were truly special toward them. They were protective, funny and especially positive, relating to them in respectful and fun ways. This dealership is fantastic. I worked closely with Darell over the phone, I am from out of state in MN and found the Mustang GT I wanted online. I was looking for weeks and sent in multiple emails and phone calls to dealerships around the country showing interesting in a particular vehicle but Gerald Subaru was one of the only ones who followed up with me immediately and kept in contact. My credit is rough and they still managed to get me approved. I had to fly out to Chicago and had a hiccup due to my own error and they were extremely understanding and helpful in every way they could. They even gave me a 2 hour round trip ride to help correct the situation i made for myself. They didn’t have to do that but they did. They also held the car for me and made sure I didn’t get screwed over like I have been before from other dealerships. They even fitted the vehicle with snow tires upon my request and did so in a timely fashion so I could drive it back cross state. I am extremely satisfied with the vehicle and communication with Geralds Subaru. Their general manager gave me his personal line if I had any question because this is the first time I’ve purchased a vehicle solely on my own. I did have a pressing question and reached out to him and he answered everything promptly. Highly, highly recommend! Fantastic crew you won’t be disappointed.Thanks again Darell!
I brought my Forester in for a 60,000 mile maintenance and overall check-up before driving it all the way to Alaska in the middle of winter. Luis F went out of his way to make my experience positive. I got a loaner for the whole week it was being worked on. When the tires I ordered were delayed due to snowstorms, they called other dealerships in the area to make sure they got them, and I got my car back in time to ensure an on time departure for my move. Luis and the whole team were very helpful, although very busy so sometimes I had to make multiple phone calls before I got ahold of someone who had time to answer my questions. Overall a great experience.
I’ve had bad experiences shopping for cars in the past with salespeople, just making me me feel uncomfortable and pressured to buy a car , therefore I was not looking forward to purchasing a new vehicle. It a lot for me to come here, believe me , the wife kept on insisting and I finally gave in . Best decision I made. I was very fortunate enough to have Derrick Mathews help me in the process of purchasing a new vehicle. He was extremely patient even though I finally decided after hours of thinking about taking that big step, not once did I feel pressure or get attitude from him. Bait and Switch Sales Tactics Used:All of my interactions with the Internet Sales Team at this dealership were very helpful. They paid attention to budget, desired model, and provided very attractive/feasible purchasing options each time we worked with them. However, my issue with this dealership came in when I interacted with the floor sales team. Right off the bat after informing the sales rep that I was looking for a base trim Subaru 2020 Impreza, I was brought to test drive a Premium as no base was available. After driving the car I disclosed my desired budget to the sales rep, noting that the premium was well outside that.A few days later the Internet Sales Team notified me there was a base model available on the lot in my budget, so we made an appointment to come in to finalize. The next day the original floor sales rep called me to notify me the car had been sold. I had asked if he would be able to find one to bring onto the lot, after which he performed a “300 mile radius search across all Subaru dealerships” and came up with nothing available. He again pushed me to the premium which was “only $30 a month more” or roughly $3,000 total.Meanwhile, I had contacted another dealership within 50 miles and found they had the desired vehicle on the lot. I ended up purchasing there for significantly below the quote that had been given to me for the base trim model. Be well informed about the car you are looking for before shopping here.
Dave Gonzales was very helpful. I changed my mind and decided to get the 60,000 mike service instead of just an oil change. He made the change and got me a loner without any advance notice. FYI, thanks to the guys who did the work. Their cooperation for a last minute change made it happen. Dont forget them as well!Update: is a 4 star review great? That is the score I want to give Dave. Excellent customer service in accommodating our desired vehicle specs, providing options, working with our timeline, and explaining vehicle features/functionality. Although their goal at the end of the day is to make a sale, I felt that our requests were heard and our thank you, but no responses were generally respected.
Went in a few days ago looking for a family vehicle. However not a minivan. I wanted something both reliable ,safe, and good looking.one associate Derrick took me straight away to an outback. Very nice gentleman. Also was very patient with my questions and explaining the process. Im buying the outback. More so because he answered every minor question with bitb a smile and patience. Never made me feel like just a customer.
The staff at this location was excellent. Everyone was very knowledgeable about their products and services offered, and very eager to help. Sean Ryan, the finance manager, was especially appreciated during my experience. He worked quick and worked efficiently, and gave very thorough explanations of the financial process.

I went to Gerald because I bought my car here. Their sales department is great. Ive had 3 mechanics look at my car, they tell me what I need, I took it to Gerald to have that service done, since its still under warranty, and Gerald says thats not the problem and its a list of other issues that I have already had repaired. Their service department is terrible. I will also be hesitant to buy from them again knowing their service is so bad. I was very disappointed.
Went in for general oil change/maintenance. I was told that I should replace all wipers and it is covered under warranty. Fast forward next oil change (out of warranty) I was told to change my wiper blades and records showed that it was never done and it would be 60$. Ugh. They had me call Subaru customer service and sort out myself which added another 45 min in the waiting room. They also requested that I needed to change a brake light. I declined because I had bulbs at home. When I went to change out with a new bulb the next day...not a single light was burned out.
Your service consultant Luis Figueroa is a Treasure! He is one of the most amiable people I have met in the automotive industry.Not to dismiss anyone else in the Service or Parts departments.I have had wonderful experiences and developed great relationships with a few members for the fixt operations staff! Each visit I have had at this dealership has been an above and beyond experience with each transaction. Jon Dewig was very helpful and informative as always, he went out of his way to find the exact vehicle color and options for me and stayed within my budget. I had an excellent test drive experience where he pointed out the multiple features of the ascent. The business manager Kevin Green explained everything well and was efficient. Overall an excellent experience and we will definitely be back and give great recommendations to friends/family. I totally love driving the Subaru brand, this is my 3rd Subaru.

The service department definitely took care of me! I had a bunch or worn out parts on my impreza due to age and they helped me through the warranty process amd choosing what needed to be done immediately and what could wait until I had the time and budget to do. Awesome team. Very happy with my experience.
I’m not sure where to start. My car was parked in my driveway for 15 minutes and it came out of park on its own and rolled into my house causing damage to my house and to bumper and trunk lid. This dealership had my car for over 100 days and after telling me the car was too unsafe to drive until they figured out what caused this to happen, they gave me the car back without finding the problem. The car is a 2016 and i paid for the Subaru gold extended warranty when i purchased the vehicle new from them. Subaru of America and Gearld Subaru both knew there was a Technical service bulletin for a faulty gear shifter and they replaced the entire gear shifter before they inspected the car. They told me this had nothing to do with the car coming out of park on its own and smashing into my house.At the very least I would have expected them to help me get into a new car and take mine in on some kind of trade in to get the car off of the road. Unfortunately they wouldn’t offer any help whatsoever. Now I’m stuck with a car that could come out of park at any moment and hurt someone. I have the entire incident on video because I have security cameras otherwise I’m sure they wouldn’t have bothered to take any of this serious.Finally, at some point while my car was getting inspected, someone broke part of my dashboard. They tired to tell me they didn’t do it and blamed me. Eventually they said they would replace it but I can’t get a hold of the service writer that was suppose to order the parts. They haven’t bothered to call me or tell me anything about the status of the replacement parts so I guess I’m supposed to pay for that as well.I would stay away from this dealership and find one that cares about customer safety and satisfaction.
Shopping for a used car and had the pleasure of meeting salesman Andrew Wedick. Best car buying experience ever! He is personable and not pushy. Answered all of my questions patiently. Highly recommend working with Andrew, would definitely do business with him again.
My Subaru Legacy was serviced quickly and was also washed. This is the 7th Subaru our family has purchased at this dealership. Weve had 3 and our sons family bought 4. That was all because we loved our first one so much. They got each of their kids a car for travel to college.
I bought my second Subaru from Gerald, this time a used Forester from sales person Eric Zetterlof. They were great with my trade in, and helping me find a car that fit my budget and my needs! Eric was easy to work with, and went above and beyond to track down the second set of keys to my new car from the previous owner! I really appreciate the entire Gerald team, and plan to continue to use them for my car needs!
I arrived at the appointed time and was greeted by the service writers staff.All were wearing masks and respecting distancing.Oil was changed, a few items noted for future service.Waiting area was clean and well stocked with snacks and a coffee machine. Other people were also in the large waiting area however all were practicing good social distancing.Free Wifi was available and worked well.No surprise charges after the service was completed.
I had an excellent experience working with Jon DeWig. He made a potentially stressful process much less stressful. He had a great personality, and went the extra mile to help me find just the right car. I would definitely want to work with him in the future and would recommend him to friends.
This was my first time going to Gerald Subaru of N. Aurora. I went super early for an oil change and recalled part replacement and the customer service was truly top-knotch. They assisted me the second I arrived, did a pre-inspection to see if anything appeared to need immediate attention, and even offered to have someone drive me to Starbucks if the coffee they offered was not to my liking (which it was!). The guys at the service desk were friendly, personable, and genuinely interested in making sure my experience was great. I will definitely be a return customer!

2022-04-02Loved working with this staff! They all worked together making sure I was well taken cared for the entire experience. Darell was my sales associate. He was awesome! Super easy and fun to talk with. He was also very kind and personable to my 7 year old son. I really liked that they allowed me to test drive on my own in addition with Darell. Really allowed me to form my own opinion to my experience. I also enjoyed my time with Kevin in their finance department. He too was kind and easy to talk to. Everyone was super warm and inviting from Nicole on the phone securing my appointment to the porters bringing up my new clean car to me! I would highly recommend this dealership specifically and look forward to future visits with them!

He worked closely with his manager Jay who helped him get me a great deal and also Kevin in finance. All three worked overtime and were accessible to me to get all my papers signed. We just bought another Outback and had a great experience with our sales guy, Darrell. He knows the car, easily answered all our questions, was extremely helpful with the huge lineup of features we werent familiar with, really hustled to streamline the process for us even though he stayed late to work with us, as did the finance person Kevin, and Darrells upbeat personality and humor made the whole experience a pleasure. 2022-04-01I am very satisfied with my experience with the service team at this location. From my first appointment, they knew who I was before I walked into the shop. Every appointment onwards they have treated me with exceptional service and friendliness. I usually drop my car off and get a bite to eat, they call or text me right away when my cars service is completed. Without a doubt I will keep going here for my maintenance on my Subaru and would recommend to everyone else apart of the Subaru family.

Throughout the whole process she provided clear communication updating when necessary and returning my calls when I had questions. 2022-01-25Fast, polite, and convenient. Was able to set up an appointment online pulled in and relaxed in the waiting room with refreshments. Talked to staff I have met with before and have conversations. Never had a dealership car and never gone to one before, but enjoy every timei go to this one.

I waited in a clean, comfortable, quiet cafe with fast WiFi, also a TV in a separate lounge, for those that want entertainment.My experience was over too soon.
