The guys there were very helpful. One even went as far as to show an alternate way to pay for a gaming console Im interested in.
Great place to shop for assorted gifts and games. Since they partnered with ThinkGeek, the quality and variety of games and other media, such as tv shows, represented is quite immaculate. I hope they continue to add new things. Employees also tend to be very knowledgeable about the latest games to help parents who dont play the games their kids play still pick out a suitable gift.
Neat, organized and they are very helpful towards many customers as well!!
My daughter bought a used ps vita 2000. The package said it had been wiped clean. It was not and could not be accessed because the password from the last owner was on there. She was treated horribly. I was treated horribly on the phone,as well. We went to Mega Disc Replay in Peoria. They were so kind and helped us even though we did not buy it there. I thought I was going to have to give up and buy one there, but instead they helped us and she is now happily using it.
It was nice to come in here today. One thing I like about Gamestop is the employees greet you when they come in as long as you get arent busy and will help you with any questions you may have. It seems like all Gamestops now offer more in gaming and pop culture merchandise with Funko Pop, tshirts, stuffed dolls in the form of TV shows, anime, Or video games. However even with this inclusion they still have plenty of games for all the current systems in stock.
The employee that worked January 9th 2021 Saturday night was over generous and was very helpful when it came to exchanging our games. Very helpful!!!
I was looking for something in particular and the man at the counter didnt seem much interested in helping me.He said they didnt carry it and I looked online where it said they did have it..So I said to him it says online that your store carries it, do you think you could look it up for me..He seemed quite irritated and told me abruptly that they didnt carry that..I was looking for a memory card for an old GameCube..He said they didnt carry GameCube accessories anymore, I know thats an older system but when I went to the back of the store I saw a bunch of GameCube controllers, I assumed the man just didnt know, and thats when I looked it up online.And when he got irritated.
Everyone there is helpful. Bought a used controller that didnt work well but they returned it no questions asked.
Terrible place. They pushed so much on me when I came in for a single game and wouldnt let up until I bout at least three other things. If that wasnt bad enough, they didnt even give me the disc I originally came in for! I live an hour away and came for this one thing. And when I brought it up to them they pretty much said that sucks and get over it because they dont take distance in to consideration for customers. DONT GO HERE! Go ANYWHERE, but here...I only wish I could give zero stars...

Rude and arrogant cashier. Wouldnt let my sons 18 year old friend buy an M rated game because his minor brother was with him. Very disrespectful to them, even if it is store policy.
Do not Patron this place the staff is deplorable and they will not take your money no cash whatsoever so if you dont have a bank account you dont matter to GameStop well just sad because Ive had an account with GameStop for several years I will no longer be shopping at GameStop for giving them any of my money ever
Customer service is amazing, they dont just make you feel like they are just doing their job, they go above and beyond to make your experience as wonderful as possible.
Never received bad service here staff is always professional and nice. Prices on used games can be higher than competition or online.
When I went to this GameStop, I felt like they were treating us like friends. They were there for any questions but if you know a guy named Trent, he chill.

Expensive, but you can find reasonably priced used items for sale. The staff is knowledgeable about new games being released and game ratings.
Came in to buy a gift, and the guy working that night creeped me out, kept wanting to know what phone I have and wanting me to trade in. Regardless how many times I told him I wasn’t interested
This place puts Clarence stickers and puts the full price on it, went to return it after I got to the car and was told. I didn’t think you would take the sticker off

2021-10-13I was just in today and Alyssa and (apologies I didn’t get their name) were really awesome and nice and we had an awesome conversation about video games. I previously stopped going to this location due to how the workers treated me. But those two awesome humans are the reason I’ll be returning again soon! Thank you guys for bringing some joy into returning to this GameStop location!

2021-01-10I had a horrible experience at the other Springfield Game Stop shortly before I came here. It was a relief because not only did the guy help us with what we needed, his service was exceptional! He went above and beyond to right the other stores mistakes, was super helpful, kind, and understanding! They also had better quality items and more quantity of products. I highly recommend this store, especially above the other one in Springfield!
