Fresh Thyme Market in other cities:
First of all, I like this store, I dont do a big shop here, but they have good produce. My issue is with coupons. They have to be approved by a store manager, and good luck with that! The cashier called three times. No one came. I finally went to the managers office and asked him to come to approve the coupon. I should not have to do that, management should be on point.
This is one of my favorite grocery stores in Naperville. The store is impeccable, the variety is right on, and the employees are always helpful and seem happy. They carry a good variety of healthier foods and snacks. I come here all of the time for Lilys chocolates, kefir, veggies and fruit, and the occasional gluten free pizza.
0 it really was an exceptional experience. The supplement section is fantastic and the product knowledge of the people there equally great. There was one gentleman named Richard who just did an outstanding job and guiding us to the differences of what we were looking for. So I wish fresh tyme all the good in the world and will be back soon
Something that is extremely unappreciated is how neat the store always is. All the labels are facing out and the products are nice and neat on the shelves. The customer service is also always great the staff and friendly and easy to chat with. One problem is they have a pretty small selection and are usually out of at least one thing on my list but that is understandable due to the pandemic. I will be returning!
This is my favorite grocery store (besides Trader Joe’s). They regularly have great sales on produce and an awesome variety of kitchen staples for those with specific dietary needs. Always finding something new and interesting and the associates are very welcoming & helpful.
This is a nice store exept of meat department and management.I bought two pieces of lamb and immediately discovered at home that it smells like leaking gas. I come back to the store (20 min driving) and the manager M. directed me to stay again in a long line. Finally, she took care of my case and made return.I expected like at least 20% off of the next purchase, but...no compensation for the effort to sell me rotten meat from so-claimed FRESH MARKET, even appologies were so so.I recommend avoiding buying meat there. There is a nice local store Caseys Foods for the reall fresh meat.
Had a great experience, especially with the customer service. The staff clearly get along well and know how to communicate. Two gentlemen I believe their names were Noah and Owen were especially helpful in helping me find an item I was looking for. I will be coming back soon!
I have a love/hate relationship with Fresh Thyme Market. Love because its conveniently located between mine and my fiances residences. Love because its next to Binnys Beverage Depot which I visit about three times per day (see my review for Binnys). Other than that, its mostly hate... I hate that FT doesnt have fresh pastries any more. Hate that they are constantly out of their French Vanilla ground coffee. Hate that their dairy coolers are consistently not well-stocked. I have visited this store on Saturday morning for half and half only to find most brands are not stocked at all. On a Sunday night I might understand this, but Saturday morning? On more than one occasion I have bought half and half that goes sour in a day or two. On more than one occasion I have noticed half and half on the shelf that is past the expiration date. Honestly, the dairy section is a disaster by American standards. If you grew up in a communist country you might find it acceptable. I have written emails to the company from their web site, no reply. So..... Go to Trader Joes if you can for half and half, they have the best. Go to Dunkin Donuts for coffee rolls, they are the best. Currently using Papa Nicholas French Vanilla (from a store other than FT) with great results. I dont really need you, Fresh Thyme. You are just there, and I will continue to use you until something better comes along. Reminds me of my ex...
The produce is out of this world fresh and delicious! The prices are comparable to other chains like jewel osco but I feel like the quality and freshness are far superior. Their selection is smaller so sometimes I still have to go to other stores but I feel like its worth it. Customer service is wonderful as well.
Great store, but 3 times I have bought their brand of milk and each time it goes sour 4-5 days before the expiration date, or even days after I bought it despite the expectation date. I try to minimize how many stores I go to, and finding out the dairy spoils way too fast is disappointing.
The bacon at the meat counter is excellent, store is very clean, produce is great, all around great place to shop. This place is getting a lot busier then when it first opened. Great to see so it sticks around for awhile. The bakery section is also a new place inside I have found. Very nice fresh made bread, muffins, rolls, cakes and pies.
I like this little market. Feels like an old time independent grocer. Friendly staff, just -big enough- selection and usually a quality selection of fruits and veggies. Also our go to place for some quality GF items, just wish there was fresh GF bread vacuum sealed and not only frozen selections.
I was trying to figure out the difference between a couple of different beef roast cuts. The meat department employee noticed what my perplexed look, came over to me and assisted me with that knowledge. He also courteously quickly adjusted one of the roasts that didnt reflect the sale price by printing a new sticker. What a wonderful late evening experience!
Very fresh fruit and veggies, often on sale with the best prices around. Nuts, seeds, rices, and dried fruits are available in bulk. I buy their coffee beans and love the flavor because they are fresh. Nice wine selection. Here is where you can buy your natural soaps, lotions, supplements, etc.
Great place to purchase affordable fresh produce, vitamins & other dietary supplements. Also has bulk food items like spices, grains, honey, and various oils if you are some one interested in minimizing your plastic container waste. Store is open to you bringing your own containers. The meat and deli is more expensive on average (but their sales can be comparable) than say a Meijer but seems to be targeting more cage free, free range, and organic brands.
Produce was all very fresh, with lots of organic options available. A Employee refused to let me clean up the mess that my son made. Great customer service Big bulk section with coffee, nuts, seeds, flours, grains, granola, candy and more. Organic and natural all over the place. The fresh nut butter is amazing. Meat selection is very good and seems well sourced. Grocery, Dairy and Frozen sections have the natural/organic brands that I know and trust, plus some news ones. They have a giant health&beauty department with tons and tons of great brands and options from protein powders and supplements to essential oils and diffusers. Pricing is not too terrible. It is Comparable to the health food stores or better.
My new favorite grocery store! I love their healthy selections throughout the store, bulk nuts and frozen section. A description of the store Ive shared with friends is that Fresh Thyme is a Whole Foods meets your neighborhood grocery store. Their app is really great, too. Instead of looking at sales in the circular or clip printed coupons, you can do it all on the app. A great tip: Wednesdays are double ad days - the sales from both the previous and current week are both valid. LOVE this store!
My first time ever shopping at this store. I was here with my husband and daughter. First we were followed thru the store for no reason that i could see. We go to chexk out out mention we have a link card the cashier cory must not jave liked that because before she even rang up non food items she asked me if we had cash for them!! Are you serious. Might be a good store if you are white and dont use a link card! Will never go back. I returned everything to them today and will never return!
This grocery store has excellent produce deals and weekly specials on fresh fish. The bulk section is fantastic for coffee, grains, salty snacks and their chocolate covered almonds are Devine. Its a small store, but everything is quality at reasonable prices. They also have stone ground organic whole wheat flour, which is a cool find for a baker. The dry goods are where youll run up your total spend, so be careful there!
I was told by my yoga instructor (Kent) to go to Fresh Thyme Farmers market in Naperville for some delicious, healthy food. I have found the store to be fantastic. Several of the employees I have found to be very informative. Charles works in the meat area and he has taught me about products he is selling. I highly recommend this store for its high quality. The Kale salad and pizza slices are especially good. I would say that you will enjoy your time at Fresh Thyme.
While I love the produce and the prices, almost every employee at the Naperville store is less than friendly. They all seem to be angry to be there. Everytime I go to this store I tell myself I am not coming back. This morning there was an employee in the produce department who was extremely helpful and very very friendly. He is an anomaly here.
Great stuff, but man are they one of the most over priced games in town. My wife refuses to shop here due to the high prices thar can sometimes be double than their competitors.Where are the organic meat options? Without that, you wont get my familys business. To my wife and I the quality of their butcher looks suspect at best and refuse to buy it.
This market reminds me of Garden Fresh Market with a more interesting alcohol selection. The produce can be a good deal or less of a good deal, they have a dedicated cheese and bread area, which is nice. They also had quite a few organic items for body products and such. I enjoyed their pick six for alcohol.
Watch out!!!! They are charging more. Check your receipt!!!!!. I used to like this place a lot but not any mor. They are dishonest and lack of customer service. They charged something I did not purchased and NO apologies. Just say I dont know. Even their scale is not working properly . I bought grapes which weight was 1.2.lbs but they charged 1.5 lbs. . Very disappointing. ... .
First time in a FRESH THYME. Ticket number 0447 at Naperville, IL, 17:26:51 June 20, 2019 Very competitive pricing on the salad bar. Products on the salad bar looked quite tired. Stainless steel counter in which pans of salad ingredients, and salad dressing bottles, sit, was quite dirty.Basic sanitation rules suggest, if not require, food presentation containers to be wiped down multiple times per day.
Everytime Im here the salad bar greens looks tired and wilted, and theres no coffee. Its 11:00 am and the staff tells me theyre not making more, what a joke. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR NAME! Apparently only a couple of the guys from produce can make the pressed juice, bc they never have what i want, and when i ask them to make it they tell me that I have to wait for someone else to come in and make it lol. You guys could learn a few things from Whole Foods!
Honestly first time I went there hated it. It was weird pricing some items are a steal some are over priced. Now I go there regularly, they mix organic and non organic produce, but they contain lots of things for special diets (my kid is gluten free). So they have quanio in tube that you can take your own amount of which is great if you have little one. There formula babys only, is 2 dollars cheaper than whole foods. And has great baby freeze dried snacks which many stores fail to do, which are gluten free! They should move the chemicals though from the same aisle as baby food and food, just a logical thought. There alcohol section is interesting, wine is different labels than normal, beer you can make your own 6 pack..The drinks on the side are over priced dont get their chilled drinks lol
DO NOT SHOP HERE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICELast month I hosted a demo at this store and was verbally assaulted by the manager because of how I was conducting my demos. The manager even yelled at me to leave the store. The yelling was so abusive that I had to call the police to get him to stop yelling.
I dont lie I mainly to here because its convenient but their meat and poultry prices are a steal and their prepared foods rival Jewels. Ive been disappointed a few times for not having certain things, but its a relatively small grocery store so they cant carry everything.
I love this store I just wish the employees knew where everything is in their store instead of saying I dont know where that is especially these young kids that they have stocking the shelves and thats the funny part they are stockers and they dont know where anything is

2022-07-28I like the store and the fresh organic produce they have and the selection of responsibly made products they carry but they are a bit expensive so take advantage of the sales when they come around. The meat is more expensive than it should especially the deli meat. I can get a pound of boars head deli meat for $4 less at other grocery stores in the area. Its clean and friendly.

2022-02-10The name suits the grocery store because everything they have inside are really fresh be it produce, meat, prepared foods and any other goodies inside. The store is also clean and bright, the layout is nice and mostly are well-organized. I do not go in here most of the time and I just visited the store and I do not know when was the last time before that but I like their selection of products and I would most probably do my regular groceries in here seeing their wonderful, fresh and good quality products especially their produce and meats. The prices are also very reasonable and they also have sales that I saw on some products. However, as much as I wanted to love this store their customer service is more on the down side specifically their staffs. The staffs are not friendly nor nice and the checkout really took long. I am not a patient man and experiencing those long minutes in the checkout and knowing the staff isnt efficient is not really my thing. The selection of products in here are yes, great but because of their staffs and their checkout, I change my mind of considering this as my go-to store for groceries.

2021-07-06So Thyme Super Market is more of a Whole Foods style grocery store.I love how clean & neat the facility was, all the sections were highly organized from the entrance to the restrooms, to the fresh produce, even the meat department. Five stars for the organization, coz it’s kinda more fun to shop in a tidy store.Though I visited the store on a weekend, it wasn’t too busy. Many fresh organic produce items were on sale was my favorite part of the trip (:I wish every store to have a bulk section for nuts & granola and when I found one in here, I didn’t miss a chance to pick a lot of them. Yay!

2022-04-06I stopped in this morning to purchase a cut-up rotisserie chicken and there were none in the case. I asked the deli employee if they would be selling them today. I could see a women pulling chickens out of the oven. The deli employee asked her if they would be cut and available today. She snapped back very rudely that she was busy and it would be 15 to 20 minutes before they would be ready. I had no problem with waiting. I do have a problem with a rude reply when I asked my question politely. I realize in the big picture this is hardly a problem. But we do need to be civil to each other, which she clearly was not.

2022-07-10Juky 2022. Good prices on meat considering the current economy. Decent selection of foods given the store size. Love their store brand salsa. Helpful and friendly staff

2018-07-23Whole foods lite. Most produce is organic and they carry a lot of goods that are store brand. Very clean and very well organized. Eg. Fresh squeezed OJ at Marianos costs $3.99, here its $5.49, organic milk is also $2 more per gallon.

2018-06-08This place is a little out of my social class, but I was close to the store and wanted to make Shepherds Pie.The fresh bread selection is great and they have homemade butter of different flavors. They have sushi and on Thursdays it is discounted.Tons of gluten free foods.Everything just about was organic. The place was clean. They have a lot of ready to go meals and easy meals already put together you can just toss in the oven which I really like.I wish they had cut up onions like Meijers because I am lazy.I would shop here again if in the area.

2019-06-04No matter which Fresh Thyme Farmers Market I go to, I always love the bombardment of colors within their displays. What makes it even more unique is that they work with a rich palette of colorful foods to make grocery shopping, an artistic event.
